Introduction to the library!

What do we do?

The goal of the library is to help anyone in need of an identity- if that is a fragment or a brand new headmate, we don't mind!

Library policy:

Be polite! If it's been a little while, feel free to send a gentle reminder- we are only mortal, after all!

Limit of one (1) headmate per request, or one (1) headspace! Feel free to send multiple!

Requesters with a library card (off-anon or claimed anons) might get priority- we at the library do value organization!

EVERYONE can interact, though we do not do paras, transIDs, or MUDs- in the end, identity is for everyone, regardless of other beliefs.

At the library, we always try to broaden our horizons! There is no set sourcelist because you can request whatever. Gore and NSFW are more likely to be declined, and SCP packs are more likely to get prioritised!

I'm here to clear up some confusion about YA books. When some people hear that label, they think "meant for children." Why is it, then, that some books classified as YA have tons of explicit content that doesn't seem "appropriate"? There are actually complex and messy industry reasons behind this, mainly to do with female, qu33r, and POC authors getting pushed into the category and then pigeonholed there. (Also, totally not a coincidence that such authors get funneled toward a lower-paying category.)

I go over the main 3 reasons in this video, but basically, everyone's lives would be better if a clear distinction existed between Teen Lit and New Adult Lit, but this did not work out and forced the YA category to house more than it's nominally supposed to. Pearl-clutching at individual authors (or worse, calling for book bans "in the name of the children") is not the way to resolve this. The industry itself needs to commit to recognizing the necessity of New Adult, or it'll always be forced to room with YA and scandalize people.

Trojans again! They all fell asleep after the four match Jean insisted on putting or smth like that.

I'm putting the decor version as well, cause I did it entirely and wouldn't want that carpet to be left unseen (I had to do the bg fully cause i couldn't figure out the perspective with their gigantic bodies - then i got carried away). This and the papasan chair, obviously.

Had a lot of fun on this one.

Edit : I had not read tgr chapter 20 before drawing this. Now that I have, I believe those of you who also have can imagine my mental state.

interesting how fords been surrounded by triangles his entire life. looks like ford and bill were always doomed to meet each other

ford did seem to think that he is destined to be in gravity falls, destined to be part of greater things, and bill also thought he was "destined for so much more"

i think at some point bill really thought ford was the one that UNDERSTOOD him (well, ford did think "why did rudolph not simply kill the other reindeer? he shouldve burned his workshop to the ground"). some of his henchmaniacs didnt seem to actually like bill at all

quick edit for something ive found:

this is from "dreamscaperers", and apparently ford had been dreaming about the cipher wheel for weeks before he even found the cave. enough times that he was even able to perfectly draw the wheel on the journal. bill didnt even know about ford yet.
