DIET Survival kit: Car Edition

Here is what I got together so far, just stuff I had around the house. Prepping this to save me from hitting a drive thru and creating sanity for myself if I need flavor and am outside the house. I normally do take a to go tea or coffee, which I have been enjoying, but I have run out of beverage. And when there is so much temptation out there- save money, save calories.

hello friends as you know I really struggle with um

but I really love a little coffee drink in the morning

I have recently discovered homemade cold brew and I am so absolutely in love with the process.

I never used to be much of a cold coffee drinker, unless it was boiling hot outside, but I may be a convert.

All I have to do is coarsely grind whole coffee beans (around 7 seconds works well for me) put it into a jar with filtered water (we have a well so we are fine) cover it and put it in a dark spot for a day or two.

Then, I filter it with my regular drip coffee setup. (A little funnel from Amazon for 10 bucks with a filter over my coffee cup). It takes a minute or so for the coffee to drip through on its own, and boom!!! Coffee!!!

(I put it over ice with milk that I froth on top and maple syrup. So freaking good. If I want it to be a little sweet treat I make whipped cream and add my homemade fudge syrup. Mmmmm).

I've been making a new batch every couple of days because I've been experimenting with water amounts and time. But I believe it is 4 parts water to 1 part coffee. You can make a large batch, filter it, and keep it in the fridge for future use.

It is so good! And has cut down a lot on my morning stress since I make my partner and I coffee every morning.

REQUIRED TOOLS: A glass jar with a lid (for containing the magic), generous spoonfuls of ground coffee (to awaken the spirits), a trusty jug (to hold the elixir), and cold water (nature's potion base).

STEP 1: Initiate the ritual by bestowing your glass jar with a sacrificial offering of ground coffee. Let the cold water cascade, infusing it with intentions as though whispering secrets to the universe. Seal the jar's fate, guarding its secrets under a lid. Allow it to revel in the moon's glow, for it shall soak up lunar energy on a windowsill or beneath the night sky.

STEP 2: At the break of dawn, usher the jar into the heart of the fridge, where it shall meditate in cool solitude. i wanna ask, has there been anyone or anything (like movies, books, or heck even other fanfic writers) that have inspired your writing?

is searching for such inspiration a good method for writing

I think searching for inspiration is always a good thing!

This is going to be a really abstract answer, but I honestly draw most of my inspiration from psychological and relational components I either can envision or want to see portrayed. I'm especially drawn to having opposites complement each other, too.

So, for example, whenever I write dipplinshipping, I often try to think of the dichotomy between elements of Kieran's archetype (e.g., an inferiority complex mixed with fascination & idealization toward Juliana, being a very shy and sensitive person who is very hard on himself & pushes himself, some headcanons about being technology deficient because of the way he grew up lol, etc.) and how I portray Juliana's (bright, outgoing, connective with other people and in tune with how they're feeling, very resilient toward adversity and often shining brighter because of it, etc.). Meanwhile, with mintteashipping, I see Drayton being able to bring out a lot more of Carmine's softness that she often has trouble expressing (and thus will choose to be more tsundere and abrasive) while Drayton finds a lot of joy and genuineness from someone as emotionally complex as Carmine.

In essence, I think a lot about the characters and how their dispositions are, and how they might interact as their relationship develops overtime. I often think of different situations that can bring out more of the development for their dynamics, and that's where the other parts of the inspiration comes from. Other than that? Feedback 100%. Whether it be to play into reactions/hopes that others express or to make commentary that addresses it or another larger trope/message/whatever, it can shape my writing too.
