Waltzing around your co-workers behind the bar like a choreographed dance, handing out drinks to some of your familiar customers, soaking cherries in alcohol, and stuffing your tips inside of your folder for the night it was a perfect distraction from the thoughts running through your mind about that awful date you had gone on the night before.
You were convincing yourself all the guys you’ve been out with just weren’t for you, maybe to make yourself feel better, maybe just to put blame on someone else for the reasons you can’t seem to surpass a second date.
“Y/N, could I get two vodka martinis. One dirty and one with a twist, twice shaken please.”
“No problem, Som.”
Somi was one of your co-workers and someone you’ve become close friends with working with her over the course of a year when the bar first opened. standing by your side on  the busiest night of the week, the other was Vernon,  he was slightly newer and unfamiliar standing next to you behind the bar, girls flirting with him left, right and center hoping to crack open his quiet yet charming exterior.
Taking orders upon orders your body was craving a moment to yourself, being an introvert and working in a high volume environment with the type of company that spends hundreds of dollars a night just to sit at a table and feel important takes a toll on you.
“Vernon, would you be cool if I stepped outside for a second?”
“Yeah, no problem. I’m good.”
“Alright, thanks I’ll be back in five.”
“Sounds good.”
Nothing more than his simple answers, for the most all you know about him is he’s your age, in college not sure what major he could possibly be studying, and he lives decently close to the bar, coming in on his days off with groups of his friends to have a drink of his own made at your own hands.
Stepping outside the employee entrance into the back of the building, feeling the cool air light up your body, you decided to light up something of your own, a small perfectly rolled cigarette wrapped up in its signature strawberry flavored paper and vanilla tobacco inside.
Three minutes into your first break of the night, the door slid open revealing the quiet boy standing in its frame.
“Shit. I’m sorry, I actually need your help. A big group of finance dudes came in.”
“It’s alright, I’ll save it for later.”
Dipping the pastel candy like cigarette into the ashtray, basically kissing it and saying you’ll see it soon, you stepped back in with Vernon to your front strolling through the back room full of fresh liquor bottles.
“This is a weird question. But what were you smoking? It smells good. Actually, normally cigarettes make me nauseous as hell.”
“Oh. It’s a vanilla tobacco, but my rolling papers are strawberry so it’s kind of sweeter that way.”
“No wonder. I always thought you smelt like vanilla musk, but I knew it was something different. I just assumed it was perfume. I like it.”
“Thanks, Vern.”
“Yeah. Want to take the table? Or wait for them to come up to us?”
“I’ll go.”
“Alright.”
Cutting around the marble countertop, trying to avoid the patrons sitting at the end of the bar. You spot the group of men wearing their fancy suit jackets, and various colors of button down tops. One of them in particular was your date from a few weeks ago. The one who left you a post it note on your nightstand to wake up to basically telling you he wouldn’t call but thanks for the fuck.
Swilling your pride, you stayed walking towards them, now with the pretty smile usually wiped across your face lost and turned into a closed lip grin.
“Hey, what can I get for you guys?”
“I’ll take you with a side of bourbon on the rocks please.”
“Clever. I’m not on the menu. Anything for you.”
Your fingers pointed towards the rest of the helm just patiently waiting for more unusual comments and weird flirting tactics.
Your date though, kept his head buried in his menu, avoiding making eye contact with you out of his own embarrassment making you decide to fuck with him a little in front of his annoying crowd of friends.
“And anything for you, Chris? Jack Daniels and Coke with a splash of cherry I presume? Or are you going to write your order down on a post it note?”
His crowd erupted in laughter, clearly aware of his tactics when he leaves girls and decides to not call them back.
He muttered back it was fine as you walked off back to Vernon watching on with a smirk on his face.
“You know him I assume?”
“Unfortunately I do.”
“Can I ask how?”
You contemplated telling him a lie, just something simple like he was an old friend or an ex-boyfriend, but in order to keep him from opening up to you, you chose the real reason.
“Actually we went out a few weeks ago. In the morning I woke up to a note taped to my pillow saying how he wasn’t interested in seeing me anymore but thanking me for being a good fuck and being so accommodating and sexy.”
“No fucking way.”
“I’m not kidding.”
“Want me to spit in his drink?”
“Yes. But I don’t want you to lose your job. It’s alright, not the first time for me unfortunately and actually maybe one of the nicer ones.”
“Not the first time a dude you’ve fucked wrote you a note saying he’s not into you?”
“There’s been worse believe it or not.”
“You’ve piqued my interest.”
“I’m sure.”
“How do you meet dudes like that?”
“I’m a lucky girl, now do me a favor and take these drinks to them, because if I do I’ll probably say some shit I’ll regret.”
“Alright. What’s his name?”
“Who?”
“Asshole over there.”
“Chris”
“Cool. Thanks.”
“Vernon why?”
“No reason, keep working.”
“Don’t do anything stupid.”
“My whole vibe is stupid, be back in a second.”
Watching the boy out of the corner of your eye, you watched as he placed everyone’s drinks for them, reaching Christopher last, pretending to trip over his chair, spilling the alcoholic concoction over his pants.
“Dude what the fuck?”
“Oh shit, my bad. Let me get you a new one.”
“Why the fuck are you so clumsy, how am I going to get a girl here when I look like I pissed myself?”
“The girls that come in here don’t want some bitch who drinks cherry whiskey and Coke, they like real men. But I’ll be back in a second.”
“What the fuck did you just say?”
“You heard me, man. One second alright I’ll be back with your bitch drink.”
Chris’s friends seem to be enjoying watching his night being turned into a shit storm, assuming they maybe don’t enjoy his company much either.
“Why did you do that?”
“He seems like a tool, he’ll be fine.”
“Well thank you. It was funny, I had to hold my laughter in so he doesn’t think I made you do that for me.”
“Safe bet.”
Your night continued on until midnight when all the happy and drunk patrons exited the restaurant and you got to cleaning up the bar space, leaving you, Vernon, and Somi alone in the dimly lit room.
“Vernon? Want to stay and have a drink as a thank you for helping me out. Somi would but she has to get back to her ball and chain.”
“Are we allowed to do that?”
“Well my dad owns the place, I don’t think he cares much.”
“You’re dad? Wait what the fuck, I never put that together.”
“Yeah. Him and his friends.”
“Holy shit.”
Laughing along with Somi at his amazement, you bid her goodbye before sliding into a bar top table, holding the glass of vodka in your well manicured fingers.
Much to your surprise your more than shy coworker decided to stay with you sliding in next to you holding his own glass of beer.
“So wait. I’m confused. Your dad and his friends opened the bar. Why do you want to work here?”
“Easy. I always liked the idea of being a bartender and my parents would kill me for being a kid who didn’t have a job or work ethic and just using their money.”
“Got it. Aren’t you in school?”
“ I haven’t decided what to go for yet so I’m taking some time. Not sure yet. You?”
“Journalism.”
“For real? That’s cool as hell.”
“Yeah.”
Your phone lit up on the table blasting the ringtone really loudly in between you and Vernon, flashing the name Matthew on the screen.
“Hey. Yeah, this is her. Oh really? Can you hold on just ONE second. Thanks.”
Vernon waved you along letting you go on with the conversation with the guy who's been taking you on dates for the past week, curious why he’d be calling you late.
“Wait since I’m out of the loop, who was that?”
“You really want to know?”
“Yeah.”
“Okay, so his name is Matt. We met at the coffee shop a few weeks ago. He was cute. He paid for my drink and we just sort of hit it off.”
“Have you guys slept together?”
“Yeah. The first day we met.”
“Y/N no. You’ve got to make these guys wait. Like they’re getting exactly what they want from you before you even know if they’re fucking idiots or not.”
“Really? Does that actually work though? I mean you heard him say he likes his ex there’s nothing I can change about that?”
“Did you ask when his last relationship was before you guys started dating?”
“Yeah he said he’d been single for two months.”
“Two months? And he’s already back with her? Or was he always seeing her when you guys were together? What kind of dates did you go on? Dinner? Or?”
“Coffee sometimes, then he’d just come hangout at my place most of the time.”
“So you never went to his?”
“No.”
“So he was cheating on his girlfriend with you?”
“What? No, he said he was single.”
Vernon ran his hands through his hair and let out a sigh before looking back at you.
“You guys met for coffee, you’d have him over to your place during the day, you’d have sex and he’d leave? You never saw his apartment? He just confessed that he’s been seeing his so-called ex over the phone the whole time you guys were quote on quote dating. He definitely lives with her and was fucking you for fun. You weren’t dating.”
“Speaking from experience, Vernon?”
“No. I’ve only ever dated one person seriously.”
“So why are you giving me advice about my dating life?”
“Because I had a successful five year relationship and you’ve had none? And you seem to need it.”
“Wow. I would normally be pissed, but you’re right. I can’t seem to tell what I’m  doing wrong actually. Maybe I'm destined to be single.”
“Not true. You’re pretty, nice, and you’ve got a cool ass life. You’ll be fine, you just need some editing maybe.”
“So what? You want to be my relationship guru? Or?”
“Yes.”
You outstretched your hand to his and he shook it for you, confirming your now partnership where he would help you with your dating life.
“Wait, before we go further. Try this.”
Lifting the straw to your lips for you, Vernon offered you a sip of the drink he made.
“Wait, that's good, what is that?”
“That assholes drink.”
“I hate that I actually fucking like it.”
“Me too.”
You and Vernon spend the rest of your night together shooting the shit and getting to know each other more, once two am rolls around you both decide to head out and walk home.
“This is me.”
Much to your surprise Vernon swipes his key card to enter the same building as you.
“Wait, you live here? How come I’ve never seen you in the building?”
“I just moved in like three weeks ago. I spend most of my time in my apartment with my cat if I'm not at school or work.”
“What floor?”
“Seven.”
Pressing the number seven on the elevator button before you tapped number thirteen, you and Vernon rode silently up to your separate homes.
Before stepping off onto his floor, he pressed the hold door button.
“Come over tomorrow around six? I know you have the night off so we can hangout or whatever.”
“Okay. What should I wear?”
“You’ll figure it out. You always look nice. Casual is fine.”
Rolling your eyes to his back as he strode off to his front door, you yelled a goodnight out of the door before they clocked shit and ran you up to your own place.
Tumblr media
Waking up the next morning you stepped out of your bed and pulled out all the ingredients to make a perfect cup of coffee, something that was like a religious ritual for you to clear your head before starting your day.
After the brew was finished dripping though your pour over carafe you decided to take in some sun on your balcony and prepare your mind for the rest of the day until you were set to get ready to hangout with Vernon.
The unexpected invitation to go on a quote in quote fake date with the boy had your head confused. What should you wear? What should you do with the little information given to you about what’s going on?
After spending a few hours outside with your coffee and disconnecting from your phone, you decided to head back inside and go through your closet in search of the perfect casual outfit.
Placing options on your bed, you hopped into the shower and spent time under the hot steam scrubbing your body from head to toe. After you were satisfied with your cleanliness, you stepped out and sat at your vanity, drying your hair and curling the front two pieces of your perfectly done up-do, painted your nails a perfect cherry red color, and put on your typical makeup look.
Sliding your slippers back on you stood now in front of the three tops hanging in front of you feeling them for the perfect vibe. Eventually selecting a simple white button down top to match your gray pleated short skirt, slipping up a pair of simple tights and black heeled knee high boots.
Finally the time came for you to run down seven floors and step off to find Vernon, knocking on the door to the left of the elevator a woman who you’ve seen around the building once or twice answered.
“I’m sorry, I think maybe I have the wrong apartment. Excuse me-“
“You’re y/n?”
“Yes. Hi.”
“Hi, I’m Vernon’s friend Chae. I like your outfit, it's super cute.”
“Oh. Thank you.”
Stepping into the similar shaped apartment to yours, you notice the colorful paintings all over the walls, the beautiful soft blue couch, and the cozy smell of fresh linen hitting your nose, as you walked in further you saw a group of various people sitting around in his living room, some pouring themselves drinks, some standing around eating snacks and talking.
“Would you like water or a beer or anything?”
“Oh no, I’m alright for now thank you.”
“No problem, I’ll just go see what he’s up to. Excuse me.”
“Sure.”
After waiting five minutes in the threshold of Vernon’s front entry, he peeled around the corner, dressed in an oddly similar outfit to yours, minus the heels and mini skirt.
His crisp white shirt and matching gray coat and pants, a black leather bag, carrying a pair of nice black sneakers in his hand.
“Hey, sorry I accidentally spilled cola on my other shirt, I had to change.”
“That’s alright. I like your outfit though, you look cool.”
“Thank you, I like yours too. I told you about casual dress though.”
“This is casual?”
“If you say so. Want a cocktail or something?”
“Uh, sure? Wait though I thought we were going out or something, I didn’t know you had company. I can leave?”
“No. Well, we’re going out a little later to a party,  I wanted to invite you, come on.”
You stepped into his kitchen where he had various types of alcohol scattered on the counter, next to slices of pizza and a couple bags of chips.
You looked around the room at the new faces, some of them you recognized from Vernon bring them to the bar with him.
“Want the asshole special again? I actually made myself one.”
“Weirdly I do, yeah.”
Vernon laughed as he mixed you the same concoction he spilled the night before, handing it over to you gracefully.
“Thanks.”
“Yeah, no problem. This is a weird question, but did you roll any of your cigarettes or have any of those cute papers you use? I told my friend about them and he wanted to find some to roll a joint with.”
Digging through your bag you pulled out the small case full of tobacco and papers from inside, holding out the pack to him to give to his friend, someone who you’re sure you’ll meet at one point or another.
“Wow. Thank you.”
“It’s cool, I have a bunch anyway. So, what does this have to do with you being my relationship guru anyway?”
“Nothing actually. Just wanted to hangout with you more.”
“Oh, right.”
Something about Vernon being so kind to you and sticking up for you last night and today was making you see him in a different light almost like you were starting to have a crush on him. But he could never be into you that way, especially seeing how he interacted with his friend Chae.
Walking around his apartment and saying hello to his friends, you chose a seat adjacent to the couch, one that was unoccupied and slightly out of the way.
Some of his friends knew who you were without you even having to mention it. Talking and getting to know them. You excused yourself to the bathroom, but stumbled upon a room adorned with movie posters and music equipment.
“The bathroom is right here.”
Vernon pointed to the unlatched door down the hall, the same position as yours.
“I know. I live here too. I was just being nosy.”
“Oh. That's cool, you can check it out if you want.”
Stepping into his office space, you smiled looking around at his various media and collectables, staring at the framed record on the wall signed by an artist you like yourself.
“This is yours?”
“Yeah. I got it as a birthday present when I was like eighteen. I love it.”
“Sick.”
“Sick? You’re so weird. Do people say that shit still?”
“Fuck off. People definitely still say that.”
“Not cool people.”
“You literally told me I was cool yesterday?”
“I spoke too soon.”
As you and Vernon were standing in his room laughing, Chae appeared behind you both without your knowledge and gripped Vernon’s side, scaring the both of you with his reaction and finding her laughing her ass off.
“You should have seen your guys’ faces. It was too easy.”
“You’re such an asshole, I almost hit you.”
“I’d like to see you try, big boy.”
You just smiled, feeling a little awkward watching Vernon flirting with his friend.
“We want to head out, are you guys ready?”
“I’m good, I think Y/N had to use the restroom though?”
“Yeah. It’s okay, I think I might just head back to my place. I have a headache, but you guys have fun.”
“No way, come on, take some tylenol and let's go.”
“Chae. Let her leave if she doesn't feel good.”
“She obviously wants to leave because she found your weird collection of fucking disney vhs tapes, not because of her headache.”
“Not true.”
“It’s fine. I’ll come, just let me use the restroom fast. I’ll meet you.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah.”
Leaving you to do your business, Chae handed you two small white pills from her bag, and a swig of her beer to wash them down with before heading behind Vernon as they got ready to leave for the next location.
After a few minutes  of walking you and Vernon’s friends  pulled up outside a bar you’ve never been to but heard a lot of your friends enjoyed, amply titled Love Bites.
Vernon held onto your shoulders and walked you into the front door of the bar, pushing you towards a table where he told you to sit down and wait, as he walked away and left you with his friend to order everyone a round of drinks.
The seat next to you that you’d hoped Vernon would fill was taken by a dark haired boy you hadn’t recognized from earlier back at the apartment.
“Y/n? Hi, I’m Joshua.
“Oh. Hi, nice to meet you.”
“Vernon’s friend just so you don’t think I’m some random dude.”
“Right. I figured.”
“Actually I was the one who asked for the papers, thank you by the way.”
“Yeah, no problem. Do you smoke? Like weed or?”
“Yeah, just weed. I used to smoke cigarettes and vape for a while or whatever, but I stopped for a while. I just realized it was a boring habit.”
“How’d you know I had strawberry papers, did Vernon tell everyone?”
“No, no. He just said you were cool. Very friendly, but you didn’t talk about yourself enough and that you have nice smelling cigarettes that you smell like sometimes. Nothing too much really.”
“Oh. No dirty details about my weird dating life he pressed me about?”
“Nothing about that, but he knows about my awful habits too. He always tells me I need serious help.”
“Yes. Me too, I called him a relationship guru.”
“He thinks he is, but he’s had a crush on the same girl for a while. I'm not sure who she is, he never told me anything more about it. I’m not sure he’s the guy I’d trust to set me up that's for sure.”
“Oh really? Is it, you know?”
You pointed with your eyes across the table to Chae who was seated next to Vernon’s side.
“I don’t think so. She’s definitely been in love with him forever, they were friends when they were kids and rekindled a few years ago when she moved back to town. She's really obvious about it, but he never said anything.”
“Ah, I don’t know he seems to flirt with her alot.”
“He’s just like that with everyone, overly friendly, kind of dorky.”
“I see that.”
You spent the entire night talking and getting to know Joshua, surprisingly finding out a lot of things that made you more and more intrigued about him.
When the night finally came to a close, you left with his number and a plan to go out with just the two of you a few days later. Maybe Vernon being your friend was going to pay off more than you knew and his relationship guru advice brought you right into the hands of his very good friend.
In the next few weeks you continued working and getting to know the pervious shy boy you thought Vernon was and going on actual good dates with his friend Joshua, who much to your surprise wasn’t the type to fuck you and forget you on a first date.
Months passed by as your casual dating with Joshua went on and on, thinking that while it was good something with him was missing. But, you kept giving him a chance anyway. Unaware what that something was.
On a night where you were getting ready to go out for a date you found Vernon outside of your apartment door, knocking on it wildly waiting for you to come and answer.
“Is everything alright?”
“Y/n.”
“Want to come in?”
“No. Yes? Is that alright?”
“Are you okay? You’re acting weird as hell.”
Vernon just nodded his head and sat down on your couch.
“Are you getting ready to head out? You look really nice. I feel like I’m interrupting something.”
“No. I just got home from a date actually. Why?”
“Fuck. I’m sorry.”
“It would help if you stopped saying sorry and told me what was wrong.”
“Chae.”
“Oh?”
“She was over at my apartment. We were just playing video games and having some beer or whatever, but she tried to kiss me. And I let her at first, but I didn’t want to kiss her. I never have. I know she’s pretty and whatever, but like..”
“Wait. So why did you come up here?”
“Because I didn’t know what else to do? She’s still downstairs, she said she won't leave until we talk about what happened and she’s crying. I tried to tell her I wasn’t interested in her romantically and I liked being her friend, but she won’t take no for an answer. I just didn’t know what else to do. I’m sorry I interrupted your nice night like this.”
You walked over into the kitchen and poured Vernon a glass of water to hopefully settle him from rambling so much.
“Can I ask you why you aren’t interested in her? I always assumed you guys had something going on.”
“No. Never. She’s not my taste, I mean she’s really cool. But we’re really similar and I don’t want to date someone who reminds me too much of myself otherwise I’d get bored, but never break it off maybe because I’m too nice or maybe because I feel too comfortable. Does that make any sense?”
“Yeah.”
“Plus, I told her I liked someone else anyway and she got even more upset. She started accusing me of being a liar and leading her on.”
“I’ll be honest and when I first met her I thought you liked her too, but the more I got to know you I realized you pretty much act that way around everyone you’re comfortable with.”
“Right.”
“Want me to help you get her out of your apartment?”
“You would?”
“Yeah. I still owe you for spilling that drink a long time ago.”
“My god, no you don’t”
“Shh, in my heart I do. Are you staying here or coming?”
“I’ll come.”
Heading down the elevator still in your nice date outfit, you grabbed his keys and unlocked his front door to find Chae still sitting on his couch, waiting for him to come home.
Looking her up and down you found her dressed in shorts two sizes too small with Vernon’s T-Shirt draped over her body. Clinging to his pillow and looking you up and down.
“What the fuck is she doing here, Vernon? She’s not a part of this at all.”
“Actually, I’m here to ask you to politely get the fuck out of his apartment and stop making him feel bad for not liking you.”
“You’re such a bitch, he does like me. The person he doesn’t like is you, so maybe you should get the fuck out of here. He just feels sorry for you.”
“Chae, that’s not true and don’t talk to her like that.”
“You’re actually defending her? She hasn’t been nice to me once since she met me. She just acts like an entitled brat around me all the time, making me feel stupid. She’s not a part of this conversation at all, don’t you understand how insane this is?”
“She is a part of it actually, because she’s the girl I have a crush on and if I wasn’t so focused on making everyone else around me happy at the price of myself I would’ve been able to tell her that already instead of doing it like this.”
“Verno-”
“Her? You fucking like her? Seriously? She told me she never would date someone like you and that you’re dorky and a loser.”
“What the fuck is wrong with you? That’s never happened. You’re the one who parades around making me feel like an idiot and that I'm not good enough to be friends with Vernon. You know who’s being an entitled brat? You. You’re kicking this poor guy out of HIS apartment for not liking you back like a child, you’re sitting on his couch in HIS clothes, waiting for him to come back to you to try to pressure him into being with you when he told you he likes someone else. If you’re such a good ass friend to him like you constantly claim to be, then maybe be that good friend and get the hell up, give him his shirt back and get the fuck out or you can talk to him like the adult that you are and try to understand how he feels and continue being his friend. If you don’t like either option I don’t know what else to tell you. So, what will it be?”
“If I talk to him, you need to get the fuck out of here, I don’t want you around.”
“Fine with me, but stop being such an insufferable bitch and maybe have some compassion. Goodnight.”
Not wanting to wait around for the elevator, you slammed Vernon’s door shut leaving them to have their conversation and walked up the seven flights of stairs back into your cozy home untainted by her bad energy.
Hours later after you were showered and ready to destress from the absolute chaos your night has been, you poured yourself a glass of wine and sat on your to smoke a nicely rolled joint as a treat to yourself, leaving your phone inside your room and out of your eyesight.
Suddenly mid-inhale another knock came to your door, half of you wanted to pretend you were asleep, but another part of you assumed whoever it was must have an issue with you smoking inside your home.
Looking through the peephole of your front door, you saw for the second time in the night Vernon standing outside, now in his plaid pj pants and a hoodie pacing around waiting for you to answer.
Taking in a deep breath you opened the door and took one look at his messy hair, realizing he must have been trying to sleep, but couldn’t.
“Yes?”
“Can I come in?”
“Be my guest. Sorry I’m smoking weed inside, it smells weird.”
“Can I have a hit actually?”
“Sure.”
“Thanks.”
Handing over the pink flower, Vernon took an incredibly long hit of the weed, exhaling it creating a cloud over the two of you.
“Wine?”
“Uh, not yet. Can I confess something to you?”
“Is it about the girl you like?”
“Sorry you had to find out like that. I was planning on telling you, but then you started seeing Josh and whatever else it just got away from me, it wasn’t the right time I know. I just let it slip.”
“It’s okay, Vernon”
“It’s not, especially when you’re not single. I feel like I ruined any relationship we had with saying it, even our platonic one.”
“When you talked about ruining my nice night before? Didn’t you wonder why I was coming home from a date at 7:00pm? It was because I actually just broke it off with Joshua. He was really nice about it of course, but I just felt like we were friends and nothing more.”
“Oh. So you’re not?”
“Dating him? No.”
“So I didn’t ruin it?”
“My night? Not at all, it wasn't that great anyway.”
“Seriously?”
“Yeah.”
Vernon took the opportunity to steal your glass of wine and downed it right then and there whispering a small sorry to you for doing so.
“Okay, so. I knew I liked you the moment we started working together. I wasn’t sure how to tell you ever, I wasn’t even sure how to talk to you because you made me feel so awkward, not because you were mean or anything, just because I knew I’d sound like a fucking dumb ass. But, that night we first walked home together and had a drink. I found out so much about you, I liked you even more so I asked you to come and hangout with us at my place, I figured I could get some courage to finally ask you out, which ultimately I failed at again and it just spiraled out of control. It’s just gotten more and more bad for me, like bad in the sense I just can’t stop falling for you and you didn’t know. Until I essentially fucked it up further telling you I like you infront of Chae, which was a mistake too. I keep fucking it up.”
“You're doing pretty good if you ask me, but you should’ve just told me a long time ago then none of this crazy shit would have happened.”
“That's charming, no?”
“Only because it's you.”
“Look, I don’t need an answer from you now or ever, just know I wont be fucking weird about it anymore. I’ll let you go to bed. I’ll see you in a few days at work and everything will be good.”
Vernon got up and tried to walk towards your front door for an exit, but you caught up to him in time, grabbing him by his shoulders and spinning him around just in time to plant a perfectly placed kiss on his pink lips.
“I like that you’re fucking weird and for your information I admire your dumb vhs tape collection.”
Vernon took his opportunity to kiss you again, even longer this time than the first one, pushing his tongue into your mouth, making you moan as his hands snaked their way around your body.
“You taste like vanilla too.”
“Nice?”
“Perfect.”
“Would us having sex count as us fucking on the first date?”
“This would be considered fucking before the first date.”
“Ah, I see. Is that a no-no?”
“I’ll let it slide.”
Vernon lifted you up, prompting you to wrap your legs around his long torso, and carried you onto your couch, setting you down to be perfectly face to face with his enclosed penis, now beginning to grow inside of his pants. Dipping your fingers into the waistband of his pants you grazed the tips of your fingers over the head of his dick, making him shiver from the cold touch of your hands.
Unwrapsping him like a present, his penis flew from his waistband and you quickly wrapped your lips around the soft pink skin, slightly creating a suction cup with your lips as his hands found their way to the back of your head and he fucked your face gently.
As his speed picked up, the head of his dick was pounding its way to the back of your throat making him weak in the knees and unsure how much longer he could go on like this without relieving himself inside of your mouth.
In order to savor this moment further, he against his better judgment pulled you off of him and got on his knees in front of you, running a finger down your neck, placing soft kisses on your lips and all the way down to your sternum, his fingers following along.
Pushing over your panties to the side he ran those same fingers up and down your wet center, making you moan and push onto him, begging for him to put them inside of you without many words.
When he was finally done teasing you, he placed his first two fingers at the entrance and ran his thumb over your clit making you squirm and let out a small moan, trying to grind your way further onto him.
With the same speed as before he started pumping his fingers into your wet center, crawling his way into your body and making you overwhelmed with pleasure.
Suddenly he was four fingers deep stretching you out as a preparation for you to be comfortable fucking his much larger dick when suddenly you squirted all over his bare chest, slinking back onto the couch in a fit of heavy breathing.
Vernon didn’t let you off the hook though, he grabbed onto you hips, carrying you onto the floor under him. Finally fucking you through your previous orgasm, riding into the sensitive waters of your clit, softly sucking on your nipples as he slowly thrusted himself onto you, almost like it was the only way to cure the aching in your center.
As the sweat and your bodily fluids mix their way together, the heavy breathing slowed to near silence, watching him in ecstasy fucking into you, noticing the beauty of the way his eyelashes ran across his cheeks and the small light gold flecks in his eyes. He’s never been more beautiful to you than he was tonight.
Suddenly in your daze his lips came onto yours before he slightly lifted them off of you to whisper while they still grazed over the top.
“Can I come inside?”
“Please.”
And with your verbal confirmation Vernon filled up your body with his semen and rode into his very own orgasm as well.
Kissing you once again he got up and ran into your bathroom to grab a clean towel for you both to clean up with and laid back down next to you on the floor.
Suddenly the two of you erupted into laughter, just thinking about how stupid you both were to see chemistry between you was about as hot as the sex you both indulged in.
“I can’t believe you were going to leave.”
“I can’t believe I thought you weren’t into me.”
“Who said I wasn’t lying?”
“The way you were moaning and fucking into me told me all I needed to know.”
“Ok, hot shot.”
“So about that first date?”
“It’s on.”

Thank you @aizawasluckylady for this commission!! I love this twist on Siren Red. What's the twist? Well... you'll have to read to find out <3
---
“Mom. I made a new friend.”
You looked up from your meal. Your daughter was picking out her greens, as any seven year old would. But you were so taken aback by her statement that, for once, you didn’t think to mention it.
... You put your fork down. “Oh. You... did?”
Another parent would’ve been less shocked, for certain- probably not even shocked at all. But you had a good reason to be so confused.
She nodded with the confidence only a child could have. “I met him near the beach.”
Near the beach?
You and your daughter lived in a very small coastal village built across an island. Though the island was certainly well within the reach of the mainland (swimming distance, at low tide it was barely worth getting the boats out of the harbour) the community was cut off, and incredibly tight-knit. It was the kind of place where nothing happened, and everyone knew everyone.
There were only a handful of local children; all of whom your daughter Sapphy had known her entire life. There weren’t any other friends for her to make. The group of around twelve would go out to play together, in the complete safety of a town surrounded by beaches where crime just wasn’t a thing. And sure, they had fights- all groups of children did. But they still all considered each other friends.
... So how had she made a new friend?
“... That’s nice.” She had your full attention. “What’s his name?”
“His name’s Red.”
...
You glanced away. You didn’t know anyone in town with that name. And as a single mother, you knew everyone’s names. She continued to eat, oblivious to the healthy amount of concern starting to build inside you.
“Is... is Red his nickname?” You asked, gently. You didn’t want to frighten her, or make her think she was in trouble, in case she decided to stop talking.
“Hm... I don’t know." She was talking with her mouth full. "I can ask him tomorrow.”
“Is he someone’s dad?”
“No. He doesn’t live in the village. But he likes to visit when it’s rainy.”
... Your mind was racing. ‘Doesn’t live in town’? Did a passing fisherman talk to her, and just say they were friends to be polite? Red, Red... no, I definitely don’t know a fisherman called Red. Maybe one of the kids changed their name? But then she would’ve just said someone changed their name. She wouldn’t have expressed that it was a ‘new’ friend.
You continued. “... Is he an imaginary friend?”
Sapphy got a look on her face that said ‘ugh, mom, you’re silly’.
“No, mom. I’m too grown up for imaginary friends. Red is real.”
...
The only other option you could think of was...
... That wasn’t possible.
You tried to keep your expression easygoing, even as your thoughts became more and more tumultuous. If she was talking to a siren, it wouldn’t have been so friendly as to introduce itself to her. A close encounter with a siren would’ve resulted in it ignoring her, or killing her. Even thinking about the second option made you feel too sick to keep eating. The sirens in the waters around the island had a truce with the locals- a famous truce, at that, from hundreds of years ago. Sirens and humans, on your island, quite happily left each other completely alone.
(They only went after stupid tourists who treated the island like a personal play park, ignoring the very clear ‘do not swim’ signs.)
... Besides. If a siren was going to try to charm someone, it would be a beautiful sailor or a lonely maiden. What would a siren want with your kid?
You smiled. “I’m glad you made a friend. Is he nice?”
“Yes.” She visibly brightened. “He’s very nice. He makes jokes about fish. They’re not very good but they’re still funny.”
“... Could I meet him?”
Her smile grew even more. “Yeyeah! He said he’s seen you at the beach before. He said he wants to meet you too. And, and he said he’d like to be friends with you too. You’re gonna like him too. He’s very cool. He has a gold tooth."
Hm. Well, the fact that he wanted to meet you made you feel less nervous. Someone with bad intentions would most likely be trying to keep things a secret. Perhaps it was an imaginary friend after all? She was around that age. She’d never had one before, maybe now was the time. And with a name like ‘Red’...
“Could I come with you tomorrow, then? To go meet him.”
“Yeah! We can go to the rocks after breakfast!”
She was beaming. It made you relax a bit.
There was no need to worry- it was probably an imaginary friend after all.
///---///
“Mom, it’s really important that I go first on my own, okay?” She looked up at you, full of all the worldly seriousness of a small child. The sea wind was tussling her hair, the sounds of the beachgoers muffled behind layers of cliffs. “Red only comes out when it’s just me."
She had taken you down a steep rock path that lead to a very isolated, very quiet cove, hidden from view on all sides. You were completely relaxed about the whole situation now; this was a lovely place to make a secret hideout out of.
“All on your own? You’re very grown up.”
Her little chest swelled with pride, and she nodded resolutely. “Ok. You stay right there, behind these rocks. I’ll go wait for Red.”
She let go of your hand. You let her go, watching her move confidently over to the water. She found an edge that only a few inches above the sea line- there, she sat down, crossing her legs to wait.
... You assumed she needed some time for dramatic effect, to get into the game. So you settled behind the rock. Your eyes naturally wandered off, admiring the jagged cliff face around you, the clear blue sky overhead, the seabirds wheeling around each other.
...
“Red!” She said, excitedly. For a moment, the delight in her voice made you smile.
... Then you heard the distinct sound of something very large moving in the water.
What?
You jumped, coming back out from behind the rock, your gaze immediately snapping back over to your child.
... Your heart stopped.
Sapphy was still sitting on the ledge, right by the water. In front of her was a massive skeleton monster.
His chest alone as big as she was tall. He had his hands on either side of her; the same way you would’ve put your hands on either side to stop her from falling in. You could see his razor teeth, the cruel sharp edge to his phalange claws. Bloody crimson eyelights. The large curved fin on his back, the scars decorating his ribcage.
It was a siren. A huge male shark siren, close enough to your little girl to bite out her throat.
... He was smiling at her. He looked just as happy to see her as she sounded to see him. His huge violent maw, pulled into a grin that was almost loving- he was looking at her with an expression that was so gentle, so caring. You’d never known anyone else but you to give her that look. He was looking at her like she was his daughter.
...
... You weren’t thinking. Stories flashed through your mind, stories you’d forgotten until that moment. Stories of sirens becoming attached to human children and stealing them away on stormy nights. It was far from night, and far from stormy... but all you could see was a monster that wanted your baby.
At the sound of you running, his crimson eyelights flickered over to you. A glimmer of shock.
You grabbed Sapphy by the back of her shirt, sharply pulling her away from the edge, away from him- and in a flurry of pure parental instinct... you balled up your fist, and punched him.
You punched him. Right in the skull.
Pain immediately ricocheted from your knuckles and up your hand, because of course, it was a TERRIBLE idea to hit solid bone like that. You'd basically just punched a rock at full pelt. But you were still just running on pure adrenaline. You picked your daughter up, high out of the siren’s reach, staggering back a few steps- what was he going to do next? Was he going to attack?
...
He was looking at you. His eyelights were starry. Awed. And a ruby colour had spread across his cheekbones, like... a blush.
“... you punched me.” He said, breathlessly.
///---///
Red knew, deep in his Soul, that you and Sapphy were his family.
... His feelings started out simple enough. A particularly strong infatuation with you- a pretty human that made his non-existent heart sing. He had spotted you one evening, sitting by the harbour with your legs hanging over the edge and your hair moving gently in the wind... he’d instantly tumbled head over fin. Who wouldn’t? He hadn’t felt such an instant attraction to anyone in a long time, and he’d be lying if he said he hadn’t returned to the island’s shores inbetween hunts in the hopes that he would catch another glimpse of you.
He’d had crushes before, though. He hadn’t thought anything of how enarmoured he was with you. Sure, the feelings were intense, but he it hadn't occurred to him that it was anything out of the ordinary- anything particularly special.
... One morning, you came to the edge of the rocks again. He happened to be there already. In one hand, you had a bucket with a crab fishing line... in the other, you held the tiny hand of your equally tiny daughter.
Red had never been one for children. He found them loud, tiring, too needy.
... But... then he looked at her. The small human with her hand in yours. He heard her voice, full of excitement at the most inconsequential things. He saw the incredible pride in her eyes when she held aloft the crab she caught- a tiny thing, barely bigger than her palm. He felt the gentleness in the smile that you gave her.
...
The ache in Red’s chest was unfamiliar. He wanted... to hug her. He wanted to pick her up. He wanted to tuck her close and tell her everything was going to be okay... make bad jokes that made her giggle. He wanted her to smile at him, put her tiny hand in his.
He got the dawning, overwhelming feeling that he'd do anything to keep her safe.
Just like that, he finally got why so many siren mothers fought to the death for their children. He’d do the same.
You picked her up to take her home. Seeing you with your daughter in your arms sparked emotions inside him that he didn’t have words powerful enough to describe. In that moment, Red knew his feelings for you went deeper than a simple infatuation. Deeper than anything he’d ever felt before. It didn’t matter that he was an ocean being, and you and here were relegated to the land; there were more than enough stories of sirens using their magic to solve that particular issue. You were his mate, your little daughter was his child. There wasn’t much else to it, in his mind.
... His family. His mate, his child.
...
... Red knew he had to take the introduction slowly. Relations between sirens and humans weren’t exactly wonderful; as desperate as he was to profess his love for you, approaching you first would be disastrous. You were wary, wonderfully intelligent, and well within your right to be greatly suspicious of any friendliness a random shark siren may show you.
... But human children were sweet. Open-minded, naive.
Things had gone so well with Sapphy. She thought he was cool- she laughed at his shitty jokes, gleefully poked at his golden tooth, and he successfully held himself back from telling her about how he was her dad now. He had never felt so fulfilled before.
...
He should’ve expected that his good luck with her would come at the expense of his luck with you.
Here he was. His cheekbone stung. His mate was bristling with anger, and his baby could sense her mother’s emotions- so now, she was frightened too, slowly undoing the work he’d already done to get her to trust him. Red knew he should’ve been panicked, racing through situations in his mind, racing through ways to win you both back.
...
... But all he could feel, looking at your beautiful angry face, was attraction.
Perhaps it was the shark in him, drawn to displays of aggression. You’d punched him. You, a little human woman, completely on her own... at the sight of your daughter in possible danger you had run up to a shark siren and hit it- hit him- square in the face. How could that not make his Soul shudder in his chest? He felt like his love was well-placed.
Besides. The situation was far from unsalvageable.
“hey... hey.” He kept his tone even, trying to shake off the wave of adoration he felt. focus, red, focus. He held up his hands. “it’s okay. easy.”
“Get away from her!” You were frightened, he could tell. More angry than frightened, though. Hopped up on adrenaline and the kind of parental instinct he knew to be wary of.
“i’m sorry. i didn’t mean to scare you.” He lowered into the water more, to appear less large and intimidating. “it’s nice to finally meet you. i’m red.”
You were shaking. But you were also noticeably confused, probably not expecting him to be polite. Hopefully he could get the confusion to trump the anger.
“you’re her mom, right?” He smiled. “can sea the resemblance. you’ve got the same eyes.”
“What do you want?” You snapped, sharply, missing the joke.
He paused. What did he want? He couldn’t answer you honestly yet. He’d need a few hours to explain fully, and another month at least of bonding to ensure you wouldn’t take it the wrong way and run.
“... just a conversation.” He said. Half true.
You didn’t believe him. It was written all over your pretty face. He kept his voice very, very gentle, trying to lay on the charm.
“c’mon. you’re okay. we both know that if i wanted to do somethin’, i already would’ve.”
“You can’t do anything.” You pulled Sapphy in tighter. “The treaty.”
“... exactly.” As if he’d ever hurt either of you. “if i wanted a meal i would go somewhere else. somewhere with more idiot tourists.”
You exhaled sharply from your nose, jaw shifting. You didn’t take your eyes off him, not even for a moment- but he could tell that you (at least) agreed with his dislike of disrespectful tourists.
... A crease appeared between his brow bones, the waves lapping softly around his body. He had one more card to play- he didn’t want to play it, it felt scummy. But he was more afraid of losing his chance with his family than he was of the moral implications of the tactics he used.
He let his expression soften even more.
“... i’m a siren. not an animal. i don’t just go around killin’ and eatin’ everything i see, y’know? i don’t want to hurt you. or your kid.”
... There was a delay. But... slowly, a small amount of guilt seemed to dawn over you.
He was getting through.
Sapphy, still cuddled against your chest, spoke up.
“... Mom. Red’s my friend.”
You looked at her. Your face wobbled, like you couldn’t decide whether to be angry or not, but your voice came out stern. “You didn’t tell me he was a siren. We’re talking about this, later.”
“don’t be mad at her. she’s just tryna kelp me out.”
...
Sapphy’s face lit up, a smile that allowed hope to settle in his chest again. She wasn’t afraid of him- she still liked him. He had that small victory, at least.
You didn’t laugh at his joke. You were staring.
“i’m the gill-ty one here.” He continued. “it’s not her fault she didn’t think some-fin fishy was going on.”
This time, Sapphy giggled aloud.
“See, mom?” She looked up at you. “I told you he makes bad jokes.”
As her eyes turned to you, so did his. He was delighted to see that you had visibly eased. Though he would’ve liked to have chalked it up to his humoiur, he knew it was probably your daughter’s laughter. The sound of her joy was infectious.
... You quickly hardened again, though. “We’re leaving. We’re going to talk about this at home.”
Her little face fell. “What? But...”
“it’s ok, kid.” Red said, gently. “listen to your mom.”
...
Funnily enough, after everything, it was that that seemed to soften you. You gave him a glance that was far less sharp than anything you’d given before, as if despite all your suspicions and reservations you were still appreciative of his gesture. Although he definitely missed the aggression, still unable to help himself but be drawn to it, he much preferred this gentler glance.
...
You spoke reservedly. Trying not to let any emotion show. “I’m... sorry I punched you. Red.”
“... it’s okay.” He let his grin widen a bit. “i hope your hand is okay.”
With that, you turned, starting to walk away.
Though his logical side tried to calm him (they live on an island, they can’t get far) he still felt panic, deep down, at the sight of you leaving with her in your arms. His mate and baby were moving away from him. no. please don’t go. please don’t take her away from me.
... Nothing his logic could’ve said, however, soothed him more than the sight of Sapphy happily waving goodbye to him over your shoulder.

so i was rereading the transcript to Launch (the episode where the princesses are trying to locate glimmer) and i want to talk about two things i hated about this episode (apart from.. the obvious):
1. i don’t like that the crew’s idea of an autistic person is “has a special interest” and “doesn’t value human life”.
now i get it. neurodivergent people can have trouble reading the room or responding in a way that people expect us to. but we can still recognize a serious situation (especially one where someone is hurt or in need of help) when we see it.
entrapta has always been kind of absentminded, but i feel like in this episode, they made her act like too much of an airhead. she seems to be on the high-functioning end of the spectrum, so i don’t understand the point of making it seem like she can never take anything seriously. she’s rambling about science and space, she’s climbing over tents, knocking shit over, it’s just strange to add in “comedic” bits like this in an episode that’s supposed to be serious. in general, this episode was far too lighthearted than it had any right to be, but entrapta was the worst part of it.
i just feel like she’s portrayed as more of a silly caricature of an autistic person, rather than an actual autistic person. a lot of this is played for laughs as well like “haha look at entrapta, she’s such an idiot, she only cares about science!” and it just feels insulting. we’ve seen entrapta show concern and compassion before, albeit in her own way, like when hordak wasn’t feeling well. so why would she act like this in a situation where someone’s life is at stake?
my problem lies with the writers and not entrapta herself, because it seems like they pick and choose when to make entrapta more empathetic and relatable, and when to make her act like a robot who doesn’t value human life. it’s just weird.
(this is all based on my general knowledge about neurodivergent people and my own personal experience with autism, so if i said something wrong here, feel free to correct me!)
2. the princesses aren’t mad at entrapta because she joined the horde and built weapons that were used to hurt thousands of innocent people, no no no, they were mad that she betrayed them specifically.
Tumblr media
it’s all about “us”. not “our people” or “innocent civilians”, just.. “us”. because they’re the only ones affected by the ongoing war, right? everyone else on etheria is completely safe and sound, the princesses suffered the most because their ego was a bit damaged by what entrapta did. sure.
and let’s not forget this:
Tumblr media
fucking rich of perfuma to say that they’re supposed to be entrapta’s friends, when SHE’S the one who leashed entrapta and dehumanized her.
and this is the first and only time they mention the kingdoms. which, btw, i may be nitpicking but “destroyed kingdoms” is a very light way to put it. it makes it seem like the horde was just destroying lands and buildings and not, you know, killing or grievously harming very real people. and again, this is all about THEM in the end, they’re acting like the kingdoms were their property, and not a civilisation of real people with real lives.
it’s a subtle way to avoid addressing the real impact of war, because how would we redeem our beloved catra if we acknowledge that she probably slaughtered hundreds of innocent civilians who were just trying to live their lives?
(also i find it funny that the 12 year old is the only one who even attempts to acknowledge the civilians, while the “adults” of the group whine about themselves.)
i’ve said this a million times before but i just don’t understand the idea of writing about war, and then acting like it only affects the people who are fighting it. this was a show written by adults, right? i’m seriously beginning to question it.
and like i said in a previous post, they did not have to make a she-ra reboot. they did not have to write about war. no one forced them to. if you’re choosing to write about a specific topic in a show that is marketed to the general public, especially children, it is your duty to do your research on it and address it accordingly. you don’t even have to do research to understand that war impacts everyone, not just the oppressors and the royalty. that’s just common knowledge. or did these people skip their history classes?

For the Valentines event can I request this prompt with Rufus Shinra as a drabble 💕
♡ “i don’t know what kind of wine you’re meant to have with takeout, so i got both.”
I think this suits him because he doesn't seem like the type to get takeout, but he'd try to have the wine down for it.
Also, lovely to talk to you again! It's been a while 🥹💕 hope you're doing well since I last messaged.
You're right, this prompt is absolutely perfect for Rufus, so thank you for requesting it. <3 I hope you enjoy the fic! And yes, I'm doing great, thank you. It still feels awesome to be back on this blog.
Prompt: “I don’t know what kind of wine you’re meant to have with takeout, so I got both."
Pairing: Rufus Shinra x gn!reader
Tumblr media
All I Need – Rufus Shinra x gn!reader
Spending Valentine’s Day at your fiancé’s office definitely isn’t something you’ve had on your bucket list, you think to yourself as you cross the imposive entrance area of the even more impressive Shinra building that towers over Midgar like an ominous guard. But, and you have to admit that too, it’s one hundred times better than spending Valentine’s Day alone. (You did that once, and after that you told Rufus that you would break off your engagement if he ever made you spend Valentine’s Day on your own again.)
You greet the two receptionists as you pass them by and step into the elevator that takes you up to the 70thfloor after you have scanned the ID card Rufus has given to you a while ago. It grants you direct access to his office premises, an honor not given to many, and a major proof that he trusts you unconditionally – because, after all, it’s no secret that there are quite a few people who would like to see him dead. You don’t even want to think about what could happen if you were to lose that card, so after every use, you make sure that it’s securely stored in the pocket of your jacket.
A soft ping indicates that the elevator has reached its destination, snapping you out of your thoughts, and when the doors open to reveal the impressive Executive Office that grants a spectacular view over Midgar, you have successfully pushed your concerns aside. This is a day to celebrate, not to worry. Nothing is going to happen to Rufus, not today and not on any other day.
He’s on the phone when you step into his office, putting a finger to his lips as soon as he spots you. “Yes, I understand. But I actually do have another appointment now, so I’m afraid we have to postpone this discussion until tomorrow,” he says and rolls his eyes at something the person on the other side of the line is replying, and you grin, “yes, I am well aware that you think of this as an important matter, hence why we will continue to talk about this as soon as possible. And that will be tomorrow.”
Rufus doesn’t wait for another reply before he hangs up, pinching the bridge of his nose. When he looks up you can’t help but notice the exhausted expression in his eyes – but only a second later, it is replaced by genuine delight when he smiles at you. “You saved me from a very tiring conversation with Hojo,” he says as he pushes his chair back and makes his way over to you to greet you with a kiss. His lips are warm and soft, and you let out a helpless sigh when he pulls back way too soon for your liking.
“What did he want?”
“Oh, he’s just taking himself and his research way more seriously than he should,” Rufus explains and wraps an arm around your shoulder to guide you to the large conference table that’s set up in front of the curved floor length windows to the left of his desk. “But you’re not here to talk about Hojo, are you?”
You laugh. “Absolutely not. You know I can’t stand him.”
Rufus hums in response. “Sit down,” he says. “I’ll get the wine and glasses.”
“I didn’t know you had wine glasses in your office. Do you often meet up with others to drink wine at your office?”
“I brought them from home, silly. Now, what else do we need? Plates, silverware?”
You eye the white plastic bag you have put on the table. “I think the restaurant staff packed disposable cutlery and chopsticks. And if you don’t mind eating straight out of the container we don’t need plates either.”
With a frown, Rufus turns around to face you. “Don’t be ridiculous, darling. This is supposed to be our Valentine’s Day date, no? It’s bad enough that I don’t have the time to take you out, so at least allow me to make this whole situation at least somewhat fancy.”
You can’t help but smile at his words. It’s true that his workload rarely allows you to go out together but you have to admit that it’s cute how he tries to make up for it. “Okay. Let me help.”
“No way.”
So, you sit back and watch your fiancé as he sets up the table and takes the boxed food from the bag, examining the different dishes. “You really brought half a chocolate cake?” he asks, clearly amused about the dessert of your choice. “(Y/N), honey, do you plan on feeding the entire company?”
You giggle. “Of course not. But they were only selling it per halves, not slices. And we can eat the rest for breakfast tomorrow.”
“If you want me to die of sugar rush, yes, we can do that,” he jokes and looks around the table, “oh. I forgot the wine.”
He rushes back to the bar cart, the very same one his father has used to store the fancy liqueurs before he died whereas Rufus has converted it into some sort of universal shelf space. Then, he returns to the table, a bottle of wine in each hand, one red, one white but both very expensive, judging from the label. “I don’t know what kind of wine you’re meant to have with takeout,” he explains as he sets the bottles down, and it almost sounds like an apology, “so I got both.”
“You know that I know next to nothing about wine.”
There’s a moment of silence, then.
“I’m sorry,” Rufus sighs eventually. “That’s probably not how you envisioned your Valentine’s Day.”
“Nonsense,” you reply with a soft smile, reaching out to squeeze his hand. “You’re all I need and there’s truly nowhere I’d rather be right now.”
Rufus brings your hand up to his lips and presses a kiss to your knuckles. “I love you,” he says quietly, the tone of his voice so earnest that it sends a shiver down your spine. “And I promise I will take you out on a proper date as soon as possible.”
“That honestly sounds amazing.”
“Then we have a deal.”
“Yes. And I believe on Valentine’s Day, you’re supposed to seal it with a kiss.”
Rufus laughs. “Your wish is my command, darling.”

Fourteen! (forteen? 14.) I am legally required to include Ruby in every single writing project I make ever, and this is no different. I hope you like my misanthropic bibliophile :0

Previous Chapter | Next Chapter
It's Josie's idea to research the guy possessing my cat. She texted me a little after breakfast to meet up at the library and see if we can find any record of this Magnus guy. I would rather do literally anything else, honestly, but I'm starting to think my best bet is to just do what she says at this point, especially with how suspicious I am of my cat's every move.
I watch Renfield closely, phone in hand, ready to record any odd behavior, but he seems to be back to his normal kitty self -- for now. He waddles around, sniffing at his salmon pate before lapping it up with as many nasty slurping sounds as possible. Then he makes his way over to the litter box before finally trundling up the little ramp to his bed on the windowsill
He paused, looking at the view. For a second, I think Magnus is back. I picture Renfield's head turning around like in the exorcist, and opening his mouth to speak backwards. But nothing happens. He just adjusts his position, lays down, and starts to snore.
I shouldn't be so on edge right now. It's my cat. I've had him for five years now. I know his routine by heart. I can translate his meows to know if he wants a treat or wants pets.
With a sigh, I text Josie back. I don't want to go to the library, or research, or do any of this. I shouldn't have to do any of this. I want my cat back, but I still drag my feet on the way out the door.
Let the record show, however, that I'm not scared of the Sutton University Library.
True, its old and creepy, and I always feel like I’m being watched the second I walk through the door, but that’s because it’s one of the oldest buildings in town. I only avoid it because I'm not the biggest fan of research, and, also, [something punchy and silly]. During Sutton’s mining boom, an old rich widow moved in with her only child and commissioned a place for her hundreds of books. For the longest time, it doubled as a school house for local kids, not that she ever taught anyone. Legend says that she was so scary that she made kids cry just by looking at them. Kids wrote in their journals that she could even turn you to stone.
According to legend, she died when a bookcase in the basement fell over on her, and crushed her. Even if her daughter later sold the building to the municipality, legend says that the Librarian never left, and she still reshelves books in the night to this day.
I don’t think that’s the case, honestly. Or. I didn’t. I’m starting to doubt myself which I kind of hate since being overconfident and stupid has always been my thing.
But I'm not about to start acting different just because of a little thing like my whole world view being shaken. No, I waltz right in through the old doors, pleased as punch, and look to my right. Josie, done up in all black with a spiky leather duster vest, follows in my footsteps with far less gusto. "Do you even know where you're going?"
I wish I had the right to be offended. I really wish I did. But it's not like I'm known for being bookish and worldly. "The microfiche is down in basement level two," I inform her confidently, with only the slightest hint of bitterness, and head on to the stairs. There's an elevator, but it was installed over fifty years ago, and no matter how many annual [ safety exams] it's passed, I wouldn't trust that thing with a coffee mug, much less my own life.
So we take the stairs down into the depths of the old building, past the first landing and its creepy door, and down to the second. The doors seem to close on their own, and seem determined to creak no matter how much WD40 they slather on the hinges, so we enter the basement with a low, ominous groan.
"This place is creepy," Josie says.
"Ayup."
I make myself waltz in, carefree and unbothered, because, even if ghosts are apparently now real and also have been all along, this creepy basement is neither haunted nor supernatural. It's just creepy.
[Transition]
The librarian down here is tall, and gorgeous in that way that feels dangerous. High cheekbones, piercing blue eyes, and a gaze that says she'd murder me for thinking too loud.
"You're back," she says,
[stuff]
"Uh, Kaz, who are you talking to?"
"Miss Lark. She's in charge of the historical records?" I feel like if anyone knew [the historical librarians] by name, it should have been Josie, not me.
She gives me a look.
[Rambles about the librarian] and oh my god, she's a ghost, isn't she?"
Josie purses her lips.
I look to the librarian. She's looking at me like my very presence offends her, but, to be fair, that's sort of always how she looks at me. "So..."
"Did you want something?" the librarian asks. Or, I suppose, the Librarian with a capital L.
“Uh,” I say, because I’m very cool in the face of uncertainty. “Did I ever get your name?”
The Librarian gives me a look. I kind of want to die on the spot, but I think i would only end up haunting this place with her for eternity.
“Microfiche?” Josie whispers.
Why couldn’t she have been the one to be able to see and talk to ghosts? I don’t want this responsibility.
Researching is as painful as always. You'd think that trying to find the guy possessing my cat would keep
“Hey look at this one,” Josie says, and steps back to let me see the obituary of Magnus Sunthorpe, one of the earlier residents of Sutton, who funded a lot of the town’s growth. He was extremely rich, with six children. Apparently it was a freak logging accident that got him, while they were felling trees to clear space for the mine entrance. He would be dearly missed, claims the writer, but I had my doubts.
“You think he’s our guy?” I ask. “He might not be the only Magnus who lived here.”
“No, but I think it’s worth a shot. so far he’s the only one who fits the bill. Of course, this would be much easier if we could ask someone who knows more than we do.” She gives me a pointed look.
“What?” I ask.
She raises her brows, then sighs and spells it out for me. “The librarian?”
“Oh. Uh.” feel the blood drain from my face at the idea. “Not another seance though, right? We’re not gonna….?” I make a few obscure gestures that hopefully get across the process of setting up candles and raising the dead.
[Josie talks her into it]
I feel like I’m back in grade school all of a sudden, being stared down at by my evil history teacher in tenth grade. The Librarian clearly hears me approaching, since she very pointedly picks up another book and slowly puts it back on the shelf. I briefly wonder what this must look like to Josie, then wonder if ghosts have the power of murdering people based off vibes alone.
“Um,” I say. “Uh.” My mouth is dry, and suddenly my head is too filled with thoughts that can’t quite form into words. It takes more than a little effort to clear my throat and try again. “Excuse me, ma’am?”
She stops, book in one hand, eyes still on the shelf where it belongs.
“Hi. My name is Kaz. I think you already knew that, but, uh, you know. Thanks for all those times you helped me find the right book for my research papers.” It was part of the urban legend, I realize now. She leads you to the shelf that has the book you need, then disappears when you aren’t looking. Frankly I just thought that’s what librarians are like. She never made much sound walking, but I do my best to silence my footsteps whenever I’m down here as it is. "So, I kind of need your help now, too. We're trying to find a specific guy. See, I think my friend's cat got possessed by a ghost. Um. Spirit. Uh..." I swallow hard, and gesture awkwardly to Josie behind me.
She waves, and shoots me a look that says she's as entirely at a loss as I am.
"Jose," I whisper, as if the Librarian can't hear me. "Is it rude to call them ghosts to their faces?"
She shrugs and gesticulates in a way that really emphasizes that, yes, she is as much at a loss as I am.
Right. Cool. Cool, I'm so cool.
But by the time I turn around, the Librarian is turning into one of the poorly lit aisles, and I stumble to catch up to her. I feel like I'm losing my mind. The Librarian had helped me out a hundred times before. Her outfit was vaguely vintage, or retro, or something, but it was far from unusual in a college town like this. She never exactly walked through walls or floated a few inches off the ground.
Wait.
I glance down. No, she's indeed walking around like a normal human would, with pants and shoes and everything.
Thank god I was looking at her feet, because she makes no sound as she pulls to a stop, and I manage to just barely fall short of walking into her. Through her? Fuck, man, I don't know. She gives me a pointed look, and nods at the shelf in front of her.
"Is that the droid we're looking for?"
Her already sour expression turns angry.
"Star Wars? No?"
[Brief conversation]
"It's not that I can't speak," she says, and a cold wave of dread shoots down my spine. It's her voice that gives her away -- a strange, whispery voice that sounds as much like a woman as it does a stack of papers rustling in the wind. "I just hate people." The flickering light goes out entirely, plunging me into darkness for juts a second. When it returns, I'm alone.
The filing box falls off the shelf with a thud.
I jump back with a shriek, and a ghostly Shhhh! echoes out of the shadows.
"Kaz?" Josie rounds the corner, walking slowly. Like she's been following the whole time. "Are you okay? What happened?"
I vaguely remember that when it comes to the supernatural, time can be wonky. If that's truly the case, I'd like to throw the towel in now. That's it, universe. I'm haunted, I'm seeing ghosts, and now I entered into some weird afterlife dimension where no time passed in the real world. I'm done, and I want to go to bed. But instead of saying all that, I point to the overturned box at my feet, and say, "Ghost box."

So I had a realisation today. AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO FEEL ABOUT IT! Just hear me out if you've nothing else to do. Personal rant ahead, funny story tho. I think it's interesting?
TLDR: my love of Sun & Moon might have been written in the stars??? Destiny?????
So a little fun fact about me! I am a big fan of Sun & Moon. I'm a fan of the FNaF series as a whole and have dedicated a lot of my life to it but my love for the Daycare Attendant is just something else. I really like them. They are the kinds of characters that I love in every sense.
Another thing I am REALLY into?? Fairies. I'm not completely sure why but my obsession with the fae is a big one. My first ever hyperfixation was fairies. I'm actually in the middle of building a fairy garden irl with glowing fairy houses, hidden lore...the whole she-bANG! ✨️
Growing up I had a MASSIVE collection of Rainbow Magic fairy books. Literally hundreds of them. I loved having them read to me as a very small child and when I grew up to being a kid big enough that my family stopped reading books to me I loved coming home from school to curl up in my room and read them to myself. Over and over again. All of them in order. I loved imagining myself into the stories as if I were a third of the main cast. I love writing stories and making little worlds up now probably because of this obsession I had.
Today I got curious about something. I was having a conversation with someone and somehow Jack Frost (the main bad guy in the book series) came up. It had been a long time since I'd last seen an image of him so I looked the guy up.
And quite literally mid-conversation, whilst studying the guy absently and still talking to my friend, I paused. I knew exactly what I was looking at, I'd seen the guy MANY times before and was very familiar with him, but something just seemed different this time. A very strange sense of familiarity I hadn't felt before was nagging at me from the back of my mind.
And then it clicked. Suddenly it all made a little more sense.
Just take a moment to look at this silly guy if you havent before.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There he is. The silly little guy in all of his comically villainous glory. Does he remind you of anyone in any way? Even a little bit??
Is there a sense of familiarity here?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's them. That strange familiarity that was playing in the back of my head upon seeing him again.
IT'S THEM!
And somehow it makes even more sense if you know anything about his character I swear
They are almost built to be exactly what I would like. What I have liked since I was young. It must have been destiny that I would become obsessed with these characters right?! Genuinely, I thought I just liked jesters. I thought I just liked the Jekyll and Hyde dynamic. The opposites. The pairs?? Whatever you want to call them. I thought that was my attraction to Sun & Moon. And it is! But there's something else. It's been deep rooted into me.
The designs. The similarities. It's been burned into my brain from a time long gone. All this time!
And I had no idea. Until today lmao. It doesn't change anything of course, I still love them. In fact I love them even more now. But it's just so interesting to me-!
It's like I've been doing a character study on myself. Discovering how my own brain works. I can't stop thinking about it.
I think I have a type. And it's quirky, bouncy little trickster guys with silly goals, blue colours and something spiky around their faces.
. . .
Okay so...rant over! 👏 I need to lie down \( _ _);

every time I think abt building in minecraft I’m like I want to make a giant nether portal with a decaying design that you think maybe used to be ornate, I want to make a castle that’s also decaying and maybe I’ll model it after the castle from that one minecraft parody you know the one, i want to use bonemeal on every surface of land & make everything overgrown, I want to make bridges on literally every river I see, i want to hide little bunkers for Herobrine, I want to plant more & more signs of life but make them died to death sooo long ago, I want to be a little freak who creates my own past, I want everything. and then I remember I’m still trying to make a barn in survival

Two Nerds, One Bed || Spengler x reader
Title: Two Nerds, One Bed (Egon Spengler x gn!reader)
Warnings: Lots of fluff, I feel like Egon might be out of character a bit but.. shhh...
Word Count: 2,200~
Notes: You (reader) celebrate Christmas. You also hate Christmas and would rather not go to your family’s house because I said so…  I am not projecting at all… Gender-neutral reader (but kind of on the feminine side of things just bc I'm used to writing fem readers , but it's also vague enough that it qualifies as gn?? bare with me guys, I’m not used to actually posting my work) I looked up overused yet loved tropes and this one was it. There also may be typos, I’ve gone over this like a hundred times and I keep finding stuff to tweak--Hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
A pretty rude ghost on the outskirts of the city. A two-man job on Christmas week. Now, the Ghostbusters didn’t take out-of-town calls often, but it was a big week and they were feeling generous. The cranky old lady who called said she’d pay handsomely to get the damn thing out of her house.
Even though he was the one to take the call and accept the job, Venkman had the week planned with Dana, so he dumped the work on someone else. Winston was with his family, so he couldn’t and wouldn’t take it. While Ray stayed in New York, he was doing his own celebrating with his beloved "Ecto-mobile" and a family of his own.
On the other side of things, Egon was Jewish--but even then, he never really celebrated holidays, so the entire month just felt like a normal month in New York for him. Just a lot more snow and terrible, repetitive music playing on the radio. Work seemed to get busier, the city-people angrier even when they sang of being jolly. He hyper-focused on people’s emotions, always trying to find where it came from… home issues, the cold, he’d never know.
As the last of the gang? You wanted any excuse not to go back home for Christmas. You wanted snow, and you desperately wanted to stay hundreds and hundreds of miles away from your mother asking when you’d get a real job–a desk job–and not some silly performance gig. New York was your new home, ghosts and all. Your family home was left far behind you and forgotten. For the most part.
So, you and Egon were the only two 'busters available for the job. He looked up a hotel near the old lady’s place so that on the way back you two had somewhere to sleep beside the car, and you kept your fingers crossed that it wouldn't be packed when you got there.
The customer’s name was Gerda, she was a somewhat scary woman in her late 70s–living alone and content as so. She made sure to hammer that into your heads, saying how annoying the surprisingly quiet and low-rank the ghost haunting her was. Ms. Gerda wasn’t exactly the kindest woman, her thick German accent didn’t help much with that, either–but she thanked you after paying cash with weighted appreciation in her mother tongue. Then, she promptly kicked you out.
You left with the ghost trap still smoking, shoving it into the back of the car with the hope that it’d be fine overnight by itself as you drove to the hotel. You packed light, and thankfully neither of you were slimed, so you were mainly clean and sane looking as you entered the very busy lobby. You had stripped to your everyday clothes (plus a few jackets and scarfs for the cold) before walking into the building. It seemed busier inside than out.
You went to the desk ahead of Egon, bitterly cold and overly excited to get into a room with hot tea and a nice shower. And warm sheets, though they wouldn’t be very warm at first. "Sorry, there's only one available at the moment." The young lady at the desk said, blowing a bubble with her pink bubble gum. She didn't seem at all sorry, more annoyed that she had to be working and talking to customers.
Egon raised an eyebrow, noticing your failure to respond fast enough. You were just weighing your options. You and Egon, spending the night in the same room? What would he even think about that? He seemed like he was going to decline, probably offering to drive back to the station while you slept in the passenger seat–he was too nice like that sometimes. You wondered what you did to deserve his kindness.
“We’ll take it,” You said quickly, pulling out your wallet. Egon looked to you as if asking if you were sure, and you just shrugged. “I don’t want to drive all night and I’m sure you don’t either.” You whispered, earning an honest, semi-enthused grunt from the man.
"I'll sleep on the couch. Or the chair. Whatever's there.” Egon said slowly as you made your way down the hallway, your eyes glancing from the number attached to the key, to the room numbers. “You take the bed. I know your back hurts whenever you sleep on anything else," He said as he took the key and opened the door for you. You would’ve laughed at his words had you not fallen victim to his unintentional charm. He was too caring then, it caught you off guard. You simply didn’t spend enough time with the man to warrant such a reaction.
With Venkman, you got flirted with constantly, even when he was in a relationship with Dana. You honestly couldn’t tell if he was genuinely interested, or if he did it for shock factor. Probably the latter, but it was unnerving either way. He’d probably be trying to get you into bed if it’d been Peter who went on this trip with you. Winston, Winston was a good guy and a good friend. But sleeping in the same bed? You’d be embarrassed beyond words. The relationship between the two of you was strictly platonic–the same with Ray.
But with Egon things were different. Way different. You wouldn’t mind sharing a bed with him, and your big fat crush on him certainly contributed to the idea that made your face turn red. He was gentle, kind. Awkward. But anyone would be awkward if they were as smart yet stupid as him.
You were also surprised at how composed you were, taking initiative with the keys and the like. You wondered if Egon found it curious, how quick you were to agree to a one-bed situation. But if he was thinking about it, he didn’t say anything–all the words leaving his mouth were about the sleeping situation instead.
As you looked around the room, you both placed your bag on the bed and inspected the quite sad furniture. "You were saying?" You said. It was only the bed, a desk, and a broken chair–it’s back laying in the corner of the room.
"The floor looks comfortable," He said, you knew he was joking. You snorted.
"Just sleep with me," You suggested, seemingly unphased. Though inside you certainly were not. At times like then, you were glad Egon couldn't read minds. "It's not like you've got another choice." You sighed, placing your bathroom bag on the nightstand beside you.
"Plus, I'm not the only one with a bad back, Dr. six foot two.." You joked, your hands pointing towards him and wiggling. The eye contact almost made you drop, your knees threatening to buckle and break.
He blushed at your comment, removing his luggage from the bed just to do something with his hands. "Fine, if you're sure you're comfortable sharing with me." He said, face warm, but you didn’t notice as your mind was elsewhere. Aka, being lost in his eyes, which were then looking anywhere but back into yours.
"Well, why wouldn't I be? You're certainly not Venkman." You joked, but it was true. He was respectful in all regards. If he accidentally touched you, he'd apologize. Not many men did that, not many men you knew at least.
"I trust you," You said, quietly removing your bag as well and putting it on the floor to join Spengler’s. You heard a noise from his side, sounding like he was clearing his throat. You looked away, slightly embarrassed at what you’d admitted. "Well, it's not that late yet.. want a drink? They should have a water heater around here somewhere. Teabags too."
He sat down on the edge of the bed, crossing one leg over his knee as he watched you inspect the little kitchen area. "If there are any." He shrugged–a nod somewhere in there as well–an awkward gesture of approval and appreciation. You smiled back.
You found the water heater, put it on, and made the two of you some tea. It wasn't the best tasting tea--they didn't give you any sugar, so you sipped reluctantly the rest of the night just to have something–free–in your stomach.
The hours passed, the clock reached 10 pm. "When do you usually sleep?" You asked as you shimmied your way under the sheets in your pajamas; sweatpants, and a t-shirt. Minus the socks, but you regretted taking them off as it got cold very quickly.
"Not this early," he admitted, pulling the blankets that I stole back over his lap as his eyes fixed on the book in his hand. "You go to sleep at ten, I assume?"
"And wake up at six." You nodded, a yawn escaping your lips. He looked down at you and smiled a bit before closing the book on his bookmark--the one you bought him for his birthday a year ago. He asked for no presents--nothing special, but you couldn't resist.
"Well, you seem exhausted. Goodnight." You nodded at his words, closing your eyes. A part of you was disappointed at how quick he was to dismiss you to sleep--you had hoped to perhaps talk a bit into the night. But as the lamp light from his side of the bed turned off with the sound of a little click, the room plunged into a quiet darkness.
After a couple minutes you began to shake, you brought your hands to your mouth, hoping your breath would warm you. It took you a couple more minutes before you decided to speak up about it, the cold becoming too much. "Uh. Egon?"
"Mm?" He didn't sound very tired at all. You felt somewhat silly to sleep next to a man who didn't want to sleep much at all.
"I know you're not big on touching me and stuff--"
"That's not what I meant," He interjected, but you kept talking.
"--but it's like, really, really cold. Can you hold me?" The plea came from your lips quickly, coldly--teeth chattering. You could hear him clear his throat quietly before making an almost inaudible sound of approval.
He turned on his side, bringing you into a hug. A very, very awkward hug. It felt warmer, but it felt a lot more awkward than you expected it to. So, you shifted on your side as well, facing him and pressing your face into him as you snuggled your body into his chest.
He didn't make a sound, but he seemed to have loosened a bit, his arms feeling less robotic around you. "See? Not so hard, now is it?" You giggled into his chest after another nice moment, words muffled into his sleep shirt.
He just tightened his arms around you, one palm laying flat on your back, his thumb rubbing sweet, soothing circles into your shoulder blade.
It felt nice, in that... ‘is this allowed?’ kind of way. You'd liked Egon for a while. Romantically, and not. Beforehand, that was. You were best friends before any real feelings surfaced. And cuddling with him just felt.. so right.
"You feel warm," He commented, causing you to press your hands to his chest, toying with the fabric of his button-up shirt with his matching trousers. God, he was such a silly man. You let yourself breathe, trying to resist the urge to inhale his scent. He smelled like… maplewood and pine. A hint of citrus too, you tried not to lose yourself in his aroma.
You could tell he was trying to see if you were faking it. Perhaps pretending to be cold so you could wrap yourself in his arms. "Mm, you're warmer. You feel so good," You murmured, snuggling closer if it was possible.
He gulped, you felt it, and his heartbeat was beating against your right fist as you balled up his shirt and let it go a few times.
"Go to sleep," he hissed, and you looked up at him with a scrunched up nose, lightheartedly offended.
"Rude," You said, before scooting up, face closer to him. His eyes seemed to widen, and you couldn't help but chuckle at that.
"You can't sleep with your glasses on, Spengs." You took them off his face slowly before reaching over him to put them on his side of the nightstand.
"I was not exactly planning to sleep just yet," His voice was nervous again.
"How am I supposed to sleep if you don't? Come on, close your eyes," You sighed, laying your head on his pillow--leaving your own behind in the sake of warmth. Your hands covered his eyes, and once you knew they were shut, you took your hands away. "There,"
"This is not doing much..." Egon chuckled, his thousand-dollar smile being flashed your way. It was beautiful, he was so beautiful.
You pressed your hands to his jaw, cupping his face as he smiled with his eyes closed, laughing at your stupid attempt to get him to sleep.
"Stop being so handsome or I swear I'm going to fall in love with you," The words left your mouth before you could really process them, thumbs caressing his cheeks.
He opened his eyes, meeting yours quickly. He muttered your name. You readied yourself for the worst, shutting your eyes tight to avoid seeing his face in the dark. You didn't want to see his discomfort, if there was any.
"Well, I should continue to be handsome then," He said, quiet, under his breath, but loud enough in the deathly silence that you could very possibly hear it from the damn bathroom. "Because I seem to already in love with you. I’ve just been hoping you felt the same."
Your hands stayed on his face, cupping his cheeks a bit tighter--and you kissed him. He kissed you back. It certainly wasn’t the most skilled kiss you’ve ever been apart of, but it was certainly the best one you’d had. ‘Cause it was with Egon. And he’d admitted to you something you could’ve only dreamt of. That he loved you.

“I can’t get up. You’re sitting on top of me.”
Warning(s): some allusions to sex, explicit-ish language, fluff, reader has a whole ‘Black Cat’ thing going on. Word Count: 3273
Notes: This is a requested work. This is a headcanoned canon version of Superboy, meaning he is no version in particular and simply the character I figure as a whole. Reader can be any gender.

“Fensterln is when you have to climb through someone’s window in order to have sex with them, without their parents knowing about it.”
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
You know, most people think that climbing up the side of a building is easy. Like it’s nothing. They see it on TV, and in the movies, and in cartoons even, and they think, “That doesn’t look so bad!” because it doesn’t. Cartoons and actors don’t have to deal with the wind whipping their hair, constantly pushing their whole body all around, the butterflies of anxiousness making their heart thump, threatening the scenario of falling to their death. It’s terrifying. It takes a lot of skill, a lot of courage, and a lot of luck.
“Shit.”
Your right hand releases from the glass, arm slowly swinging back until it’s at your side. The same sides foot follows this pattern of rotation, until only your left fingertips and toes are stuck to the wall of the building, suctioning you to life. Below you, hundreds and hundreds of feet, is an island of grass and sand, encompassed by a large body of water. Over the tidal waves chip chopping away, there’s a distance. And in that distance, is the city, just under the inky blackness of the midnight sky.
Jump City, it’s called. You’re not too familiar with it. Most of your time is spent in Metropolis, or Gotham. Luckily, both of those cities have plenty of skyscrapers to practice scaling. One could say that you’d perfected the art of this sort of thing. The finger pads on your suit are sophisticatedly sticky, seamlessly letting you latch onto anything with grace. Your feet are the same.
The wind hits your face like sharp needles, amplified by the cold air and the incline. Your hair whips around wildly, also different from how it flows, softly, in the movies. The harsh breeze roars in your ears, louder than the thousands of explosions you’ve heard in your lifetime. Although dangerous, nothing beats the view. Those thousands of lights in the distance, the cars, the buildings, this building that you’re on now. Titan’s Tower is far larger and closer and more important than anything else at the moment.
“Okay then,” you mutter, twisting your body over to the right twice more, until finally both hands and feet are connecting against the glass in a stealthy, perfect crawling position.
You work your way up, one foot and hand at the time. You resemble that of a spider, or perhaps a cat. One, two. One, two.
His room is on one of the top floors, if not the top floor. From the two other times that you’ve done this, you remember the number of steps, the distance, the little cracks in the glass panes to look for so you know you’re close. Even from the outside, hundreds of feet up, hanging above death tantalizingly, you know exactly where you are and where you need to be. And you know, of course, that you are close.
Your right hand leaves the wall once more and reaches down to the belt on your hips. “Coming, my love,” you mutter as you flip open a small pouch attached. From the inside you pull out a slim switchblade, made specifically to cut through glass walls like this- designed it yourself.
The knife springs open. In a circle big enough to fit your entire body, you trace the blade in a wide arc from up to down, left to right. Then you flip the blade back inside, place the whole thing back into the pouch on the belt, and shove your left elbow against the middle of the glass in front of you.
It pops free immediately. The circle of wall falls forward into the room, with you not far behind.
Landing like a gymnast on your toes with your arms overhead, you are immune to the sharp pain in your femurs that comes from a sudden pressure like this. The glass pane is still intact on the floor ahead of you, which is coated with a red carpet that you recognize so well. It’s much warmer inside than it was outside, although you can still feel the night wind from behind you.
“Silent,” a voice remarks from beside you. It’s not an amused tone, really. It’s genuine and full of awe, surrounded by something casual.
You hum as you stand before throwing a look over your shoulder. Sure enough at your back, splayed casually on a bed against the wall you just broke through, is your favorite boy toy. Dark, curly hair framing his classically handsome face, nose scrunching slightly on instinct. He’s wearing the black and red super shirt he always does, coupled with the plaid pajama bottoms you’d gotten him as a gift in spring.
You want so badly to quip something back, but you both know you can’t right now. Not when you’re so close to the door. And yeah, that’s partially Conner’s fault, if not all. Too much noise would attract the attention of his team mates, the Titans, and then something probably not that great would happen. Maybe they’d throw you out. Maybe they’d fire him. Maybe things would just get weird. It’s not as if you and Connor are an official couple, even after all this time. You could stop sneaking around to see each other at any sense of danger.
You take a step towards the bed he lays on, noting the big, bright smile that lights up Superboy’s face at the motion. “Can you fix the hole?” you whisper, just loud enough for him to hear.
Conner’s eyes go wide and the smile gets bigger.
“In the wall.”
The smile turns into an eye roll. “Yes,” he sighs, almost dramatically, pushing himself up. The boy crosses to the center of the room a few feet from you and begins picking up the perfect circle of cut window- wall while you look around the area.
You’ve snuck into Conner’s room before. Twice, in fact. It’s not clean, not horribly messy. His leather jacket is usually hanging off the dresser or door handle. Sweatshirts of different colors are littering the floor in a collective pile. It looks like a normal teenage boys room, really. It just feels very ‘Conner’.
First, he pushes the glass back into place in the wall, then he takes a few steps back. You throw him a smirk, nudging your head to encourage him to do the thing.
Conner’s eyes heat up. Little at first, as a soft yellow. Then into an all consuming scarlet that hisses out in two beams meeting in the middle between them. They move in a circle around the pane until you can’t even tell it was ever not there, and the wind you once heard no longer exists. The wall is perfectly in tact.
“Thank you, Superboy,” you tell him, tone laced overly sweet. Your hands, freezing from the cold even through the gloves of your costume, wrap around Conner’s upper arm.
“Yeah,” he tosses, back, voice low. His cheeks are turning pink.
You unhook your arms and saunter over to his mattress. As you throw yourself on and relax as you sink into the pillows, you let your eyes close. “You’re lucky I like you so much,” you tease. “Mm, do you know a lot of people who would climb up the Tower for you? I don’t.”
Upon hearing him take a single step forward, one eye pops open. “I know you missed me,” you continue.
Conner lays himself on the bed beside you, hands behind his bed with his arms bent. You turn to face him, propping your head up with your palm.
“You never answer my texts,” Conner says, Adam’s apple bobbing.
“You text me?” you smirk, watching Superboys eyes sink close as he releases a sigh of defeat.
Your left leg slips over Conner’s hips. Then you pull your whole body up and over into a straddle over him, looking down at him. He’s handsome in the way nobody can argue with, so perfect and soft and structured. When you squint, he looks like Superman. But Conner’s not Superman, he’s better. You can’t explain why, or how, but he just is.
You place your palms forward on his chest at first, then backwards, behind your back, on Conner’s thighs. Your chest puffs out at the slight change of position.
Below you, the boy bites his lower lip softly in thought for a second. “What if I got you a phone?” Conner asks you. His light eyes holding yours through thick, dark lashes. “Just so you can text me back sometimes?”
“Us?” you gasp with wide eyes. “Talking? During the daytime?”
Conner glances away. “Message received. Very funny. Forget it.”
“I’m messing with you,” you promise with a smile. “Loosen up Super-Annoy.”
“So you’ll let me get you one?” Conner pushes himself up with a snap, eyes wide with some kind of excitement.
Well… would you? You haven’t had a lot of long term partners, if any. Your time with Conner has been the longest with anyone, and he’s not even really your boyfriend. He’s just… you know… the guy you kissed on a rooftop one night. The guy who once surprised you with a cone of ice cream, again on a night time rooftop, whilst you were sitting on the side of the building to watch the city below. The guy who remembered your birthday, the guy who keeps sending you the many, many texts reminding you that you can watch your favorite show on the TV in the tower. The guy who once lied to get you to ice skate with him.
Something about Conner has been enough to keep you hooked for months and months, always coming back. Sneaking into the Tower, taking more and more trips to Jump City, keeping notes of events throughout your week to tell him about when you see him.
How silly. Never giving the time of day to any other partner of yours, but for Conner? Conner has gotten at least eight months of it.
“I’ll think about it,” you roll your eyes.
“You promise?” Conner urges.
“Yes. Jeez, I promise. I will think about letting you get me a phone that only you have the number to.”
“Please don’t laugh at me about this.”
“I’m not laughing at you.”
“It feels like it.”
“Connor,” you clasp a hand on his shoulder, pushing back laughter. “Have I ever laughed at you?”
“W- Is that- is that a serious question?” Conner’s eyebrows raise.
“Get up,” you roll your neck. “I want to change positions.”
The boy below you shifts. For a quick moment, something pokes between your hips from underneath. Your pupils dilate in response, but by the time they finish, the movement has ceased. “Tell me about your day.”
“I want to lay down,” you say as you stretch. “I just scaled up the side of the skyscraper-”
“You love it.”
“-and it was oh, so cold. I’m tired.”
“That’s not your day.”
You just stare at him expectantly, not quite sure what it is you’re waiting for.
“I can’t get up. You’re sitting on top of me,” Conner concedes. “You chose to be up there.”
“Prove it,” you challenge.
“Yeah, yeah,” the boy below you hisses as if annoyed. “I get it,” he says, but his arms are already snaking around your torso to pull you close and slowly pull you into a new position.
You lay on your side, back against Conner’s broad chest. His arms stay wrapped around your middle as he curls up against you on instinct, legs quick to tangle with your own. You know he must really be interested in you if he’s not going to mention that your ‘work’ shoes are still on while in bed.
“You’re an ass,” he mutters into your hair.
“What was that?”
“I didn’t say anything.”
“Ha,” you chuckle once. “Douche.”
“Please tell me about your day now?” you hear Conner almost plead. “Please?”
One of your hands, your right one, rests on top of Conner’s against your stomach. “Oh, you know. The usual. I helped out a small jewelry store today, snuck into a big building, currently hiding from Nightwing- you know how it is.”
“There wasn’t much crime today. I mostly just stayed in. You know that big building you snuck into?”
“Such a douche,” you breathe.
“Jealous much?” Superboy rumbles against your ear.
“I’m gonna tell Dick,” you tell him. “I’ll send an anonymous tip that one of the Titan’s is a big poop face.”
Conner puts his whole face in your hair. “Shiver me timbers.”
“Yeah, yeah. It’s not fair you guys get a whole building to yourselves. What are you even using half these floors for? People in Gotham are struggling.” You frown. “Well, except for Wayne. But you know what? He’s a douche too. You’d get along.”
Conner squeezes you once. Then you feel him still from behind you, not even breathing. And then-
“Move in then.”
At once, your brows furrow. “What?”
Your companion squeezes you once more. “Move in. Move in with me. In the Tower.”
Your mouth opens and closes a couple times, eyes looking around. You can’t see Conner, but you can feel him out. His eyes are closed, still inhaling the scent of you shamelessly. It’s hard for people to catch you off guard, not just like this, but at all. You just have that sarcastic, witty, sultry reputation. And for him- Super-Annoy, of all people- to just throw you off so easily?
“I’m not a Titan,” you decide on explaining, almost asking.
“Become one, then.”
“I don’t have the money to move in. The rent must be crazy.”
“I’ll pay for you.”
“Conner,” you swallow. “This isn’t funny.”
“I’m not joking.” His head pops up. When you turn yours a little, you can look up at him, and he can look down at you. “Move into the Tower.”
Now your eyes are wide, and his are relaxed. No, Conner’s are focused, drilling into your own. “I’m... hardly Titan’s material.”
This was true. You’ve been skirting the gray line far longer than you’ve known Superboy, and he’s been super since the beginning of his creation. The first time you’d met was about ten seconds before you’d robbed a bank and sent him a wink before disappearing.
“You just told me, not five minutes ago, that you helped a small business. Helping people is what heroes are all about. You can do this, Y/N. You are Titan’s material.”
Shit. He’s right.
“Why not?” Conner questions.
“I... um...”
You’ve never lived with another person before. Your family, once upon a time, sure. Not friends. Not Dick Grayson, or Kori, or Rachel fucking Roth. And certainly not Superboy- Super-Annoy. Not someone you have a ‘thing’ with. What would that mean for the two of you? And when things go terribly, terribly wrong, what then?
Gotta’ think fast.
Your face is wiped clean, replaced by your signature smirk. “Get me a phone first. Then I’ll consider it.”
Conner doesn’t budge though. You wonder if X-Ray vision can see through lies too. “I mean it,” the boy tells you. “I want you here.”
“I have to survive the night in the building with boy prodigy and star flame.”
“Starfire.”
“Whatever. I have to do that first. There’s a reason we sneak me in, you know.”
Your free hand reaches up and cups Conner’s cheek without you telling it to. You ask your brain why, but yet, your palm doesn’t move. It feels over Conner’s cheekbones, encouraging you to look deeper into his somehow soft eyes. Your fingertips can even feel his hair, which is in need of a wash, as they get comfortable.
“For you,” you finish the sentiment, voice now genuine- also not predicted. “Sneaking in for you.”
“I don’t want you to feel like a secret,” the boy above you whispers, pouring his entire heart into it.
You answer with a snort.
If anything, Conner’s the secret. If he had his way, the two of you would probably be on your honeymoon at this moment. Hell, your whole relationship and subsequent marriage would be a honeymoon. You’re the one letting him follow you around. You’re the one never giving him just what he wants.
But then again, you’re the one who keeps coming back. Conner’s the one that never left.
“Trust me,” you nod with a humored grin. “I don’t.”
Conner sighs and falls back down to rest behind  you. “Good.”
Besides his breathing, then there is silence.
Really? Telling you to move in? Of course it doesn’t seem like such a big deal to him. Of course he has the solution to all the reasons why not. Your fairly certain that Conner hasn’t thought about this until mentioning it, but even then, how did he have all the answers so fast? Where would you stay? With him? Sandwiched between Conner and Wally West playing video games for the rest of your life? Dying after Donna Troy catches you accidentally stealing her lunch?
“I wasn’t going to say anything,” Conner begins, “but you should really stay the night.”
In response, you practically burst. “You hate being told what to do!” you say as you squirm in his arms. “Now you’re giving me suggestions?”
Conner sits up again so he can look down at you with a little frown. Luckily, it’s too nice of a view to be really scared of anything he could do. “Shh! You’re gonna get caught, Y/N.” Then Superboy’s eyes widen a little. “If you lived here, you wouldn’t have to be so quiet, either. You could just come through the front door.”
“Oh my God,” you squeeze your eyes closed. “Conner...”
One battle at a time.
“Fine,” you begrudge. “I’ll stay the night.”
Conner tightens his grip around your form happily in response. “Will you need any help in the morning?”
“No. No, I got it.”
Silence.
Say it. Say it. Say it.
“Conner? I, uh...”
Say it.
“I don’t have any sleeping clothes,” you lie.
“Sleeping?” you hear the boy behind you whisper. “I didn’t think we were going to be sleeping.”
“Now who’s going to get us in trouble?” you smirk. “Seriously though. I’ve been wearing my suit all day.”
“I can get you out of it.”
“You can’t just see through it?” you question. “Don’t you have X-Ray vision?”
Conner groans. “You’re ruining it.”
You smile. Conner’s the only partner of yours you realize you’re actually happy to be around. “I think you just want us to get caught.”
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
Yayyy. Request finished. Next I have a Reverse Flash request, and then I should be good with the DC requests for now. Other than that I have some Jason Todd things, something for Damian and 2 fics for a character I haven’t written for before but are looking pretty good. I hope this satisfied the prompt that I was given in the request. Let me know anything you want or whatever.

Tumblr media
Events, galas, award ceremonies. You weren't a popular actress nor a famous singer, or social media influencer. You had a simple 9-5 job that would hardly ever get you into these events. But regardless of your status in society, you were known and not because of any talent you possessed that could have made you famous, but because your best friend was none-other than Tom Hiddleston.
You have been friends for years, you adored everything about the man. He was sweet and kind, always polite, but just as playful. It was a friendship you felt lucky to be in, a friendship that you held so close to your heart, it would have broken every little piece of you if it ever ended. Often, you found yourself staring at him with a little smile in the corner of your lips, watching his every move, the way he joked around with his co-stars on set, the way he exercised in the gym for a role, the way he winked at you with a mischievous smile as he caught your eyes on him.
"Do you need my autograph?" he asked with a wide grin as he opened the door of the luxurious car he booked for the event. Once again you have forgotten your eyes on him— his dashing looks, the perfectly fitted suit, the playful twinkle in his eyes. He never stopped teasing you about it.
"Shove off, Tom," you nudged him as he got out of the car and held out a hand for you, waiting for you to accept his help. So, you did. Wrapping your fingers around his hand, you let him help you out of the vehicle as you rearranged your stunning dress and ran your hand down its length to remove any creasing. Cameras were flashing, reporters' loud voices filled the pathway to the entrance, a long red carpet leading your way inside the building towering over you like a modern castle.
"If I didn't know better, I would think your interest in me goes beyond friendship," he chuckled as he held his arm out to you, waiting for yours to be placed over his, his eyes following every little movement of yours. A sudden rush of heat travelled up to your cheeks, your breathing slightly laboured as you tried to calm your heavily beating heart. He was not wrong after all. It's been years since you have been harbouring these feelings, but you hadn't had the heart to confess them. Tom was more important to you than to ruin it over some silly feelings.
Sometimes, when you caught Tom's eyes on you, watching you intently, a soft smile spread across his face, it made you think if maybe, just maybe he was harbouring similar feelings towards you. But the idea was quickly swept away by your doubts, the thought of such an amazing man falling for you seeming impossible. You knew your worth, you didn't write yourself down, but Tom has always been perfect in your eyes, and you couldn't imagine him wanting you even if at times a certain silly part of your brain whispered otherwise.
"I love your healthy self-confidence," you finally gathered your ability to be able to reply, earning a comical huff from him. You have been trying hard, to deny your romantic interest in him, but rumours about the two of you have become a reoccurring news and it didn't help your case to shove your feelings in the back of your mind.
"Ready?" He asked as his gaze turned towards the red carpet. Heaving a heavy sigh, you nodded and murmured a 'yes' as a response.
As soon as the cameras started flashing, hundreds of photos of Tom and you being taken, you conjured a sweet little smile that the tabloids loved. You were always nervous when it came to these events. It was Tom's job to answer some of the questions journalists asked of him, which meant they were to ask about your relationship. It was becoming repetitive, making you feel uncomfortable. The questions themselves didn't bother you but repeating over and over again that the man you have fallen for is merely a friend, felt like a stab in your heart, each time you responded.
"Tom! Tom!" One of the reporters shouted his name and he led you to the side of the red carpet, halting right beside the metal cordons. Questions were flying around, photos had been taken, but you didn't concentrate. Your senses were heightened as Tom pulled you in his side, his arm now wrapped around your waist, gently, but firmly holding onto you. Looking up at him, you studied his face, his ice-blue eyes focusing on the reporter, an excited smile across his face. He seemed so relaxed, so collected, meanwhile even events after events you were still nervous. As though he could feel it, he turned to you with a soft, reassuring smile, giving you a nod, silently asking if you were alright. For others, the movement could have easily been missed, but to you, it was like an earthquake, shaking your heart, making you fall even deeper for him. In a reply, you nodded and offered him a smile as you squeezed his hand that rested on your waist.
"So, Tom, this might be a bit more personal, but everyone has been talking about the two of you," he started, and your eyes immediately darted towards the man. You knew the question, heard it a thousand times already, so you prepared your heart to give the same reply as always. 'We are just friends,' you repeated time after time, hoping they would finally understand and let you be, but they didn't seem to budge. "You have been friends for a long time, and your fans have been talking about how close the two of you have become. Do you think, maybe in the future, there's a possibility for romance to blossom?" He asked with an expectant expression, a sly smile in the corner of his lips.
"As we have said before," you spoke up, ready to reply as you always did, "we—"
"You never know what the future holds for you, there are many possibilities" Tom cut in with a mischievous smile, your eyes growing wide as you looked up at him. Tom chuckled at your expression as he leaned down and kissed the top of your head. "Tell me I'm wrong," he arched a brow questioningly, his words starting your heart off at a faster pace, your cheeks feeling warmer under his intent gaze, those blue eyes you often found yourself lost in.
"Well—, I mean I can't argue with that statement," you replied, feeling slightly awkward. A confused smile started growing wider on your face as Tom led you away. "Why did you do that?" You asked as you finally stepped inside the building, his arm still resting around your waist as you headed towards a large room filled with all sorts of foods and drinks, people dancing in the middle, the dim lightning offering a rather intimate mood. "You just created even more gossip," you scolded him, but seemingly he didn't mind. He led you to a table where his name was printed on a nametag and pulled the chair out for you before he took his seat beside you.
"I didn't say anything," he smiled at you as innocently as he could manage, the corner of his eyes crinkling.
"You did. Exactly because you were so secretive, people will want to read between the lines. They will think there's more to us than friendship," you huffed as you hid your face in your palm and heaved a heavy sigh.
"And is that so bad?" He frowned, earning the same expression from you.
"What?" A silent scoff left your lungs. "What are you trying to say?"
"Is that such a big problem if people think we are together?" He asked, his confident tone stunning you.
"Of course, not. I don't care what rumours are being spread about me, but I don't want them to gossip about you," you reached for his hand on the table and wrapped your fingers around it, giving it a gentle squeeze. His expression stayed emotionless; you couldn't read him entirely, but you knew he seemed off.
"I will go grab us a drink," he said as he stood up, leaving you frowning. You weren't sure what you said that made him upset, and regardless of trying to put on a straight face, you knew he wasn't happy with your response.
You watched as he walked over to a small table filled with the most delicious looking cakes and a couple of bottles of champagne, ready for the guests before they brought out the main course. Tom grabbed a battle of champagne and two glasses, filling up both halfway, before he placed the battle back into an ice bucket.
"What is it?" You asked as he returned and gave you one of the glasses.
"What do you mean?" He asked, taking a seat beside you.
"We've known each other for quite a long time. I can read you like an open book. What's bothering you?" Trying to get him to open up, you shuffled closer to him, your chair scraping the floor, turning heads in your direction. "Oops," you scratched the back of your neck awkwardly, earning a chuckle from Tom.
"Very subtle," he mocked you.
"Don't change the subject Mr. Hiddleston," you raised a questioning brow, a tiny smile hidden in the corner of your lips.
"Nothing is bothering me," he added, but your suspicious gaze didn't falter. "I'm being honest, darling," the sly little fox knew his nickname for you would make you soften up and he used every opportunity to say it when he felt cornered.
"Fine," you squinted. "But we aren't done! I'm not blind, I can see something is on your mind."
"Yes, ma'am, I can't wait for this conversation to come back around," he mocked you once again, making you huff as you gently punched his shoulder.
Throughout the night, said conversation was forgotten, the alcohol consumption rose, the amount of people dancing around the room grew, meanwhile others sat at their tables, trying to digest the previously served delicious meals. You couldn't deny that you had a good laugh with Tom and his co-stars from all sorts of movies he had been in. It felt like a little family, people coming together to just have a joyous time.
The way Tom smiled at his friends, praising each other, before turning to mock one another forced your eyes to rest on his excited features. He looked so alive, so happy and the feeling of the man you loved being in his element meant everything to you. Tom was radiating enthusiasm and you couldn't look away as you watched his ever-growing smile, his nose scrunched up at an unexpected subject, his head falling back as a loud laughter erupted from his lungs. He was always handsome, but when he was happy, it filled you up with a certain warmth that you couldn't explain. Like you always wanted to make him happy just to be able to see that cheerful smile spread across his face.
He turned to you, catching your gaze on him once again. His arm sneaked behind you, pulling you closer and leaning down to your ear. "You are staring at me again," you couldn't see it, but you could feel his smile spreading wider.
"I like to see you happy," you shrugged with a soft smile as you leaned back to be able to meet his gaze. His smile faltered, but his eyes softened.
"Dance with me," he said as he offered his palm to you, and you placed your hand in it.
"I take no responsibility for broken toes," you said with a silent chuckle as you followed him to the dancefloor.
"Don't worry, darling, it's worth the injury," he mirrored your expression as you stopped in the middle of the dance floor. A slow, romantic song started playing in the background, his arms finding their perfect position around your waist as yours sneaked around his neck.
It was a slow and peaceful dance, not requiring much knowledge and talent. You just enjoyed each other's presence, gazes meeting, smiles forming, swaying to the slow rhythm of the music. You didn't speak a word, but the silence wasn't uncomfortable. It never was with Tom. A soft smile, a quick glance, a simple gesture meant more than thousands of words when you were with him.
You laid your head against his chest, listening to his fast heartbeat, taking on a quicker pace just like yours did. "I miss you when you are not with me," he spoke for the first time as he leaned down and kissed the top of your head. You didn't move away; his embrace was too comfortable, and you couldn't care about people watching you.
"I always miss you. You are the one travelling all the time after all," you chuckled lightly, not wanting to ruin the moment.
"I could be only a mile away and I would still miss you," he replied as you pulled back a bit to meet his soft gaze, but there was no smile present across his handsome face. As the song finished, you found yourself standing in front of him, slightly confused about the conversation. "Do you want to go to the balcony? Have some fresh air?" He asked, taking on a more cheerful expression, but you knew him more than to believe it was genuine. In a response you nodded and linked your arm with his.
Following him through the sea of people, you finally arrived at the balcony, looking down to a smaller version of a park, a water fountain standing tall in its centre. You leaned against the rail as you watched the trees battling the silent wind, fallen leaves being blown across the walking path. Tom joined beside you, his eyes following the same direction as you did before they halted on your face. "You are being strange tonight," you spoke up, feeling his gaze resting on you before you turned to him, meeting his eyes.
"I'm just thinking," he added with a half-hearted smile.
"About?" You asked as you reached for his hand resting on the rail and placed yours on top of his. He turned his palm upside down and lifted your hand, hinting a small kiss on your knuckles as he heaved a heavy sigh. "Tom talk to me," you squeezed his fingers reassuringly, his eyes watching you, not leaving your gaze for a moment. "You have been rather quiet around me," you added.
His whole body turned to you, as though he was focusing his complete attention on you. Reaching towards you, he brushed your hair to the side, gently tucking it behind your ear. You leaned into the touch involuntarily, only realising your actions when he caressed your cheek with his thumb, before moving down and running it across your lips. The feeling burnt you, starting your mind off in a very dangerous territory, one that you have been avoiding. 'He is your friend' you tried to remind yourself. But once the tip of his thumb brushed along your lips once again, you couldn't stop yourself. Stepping forward, you placed your hands on his chest, steading yourself and rose on your tiptoes, pressing your lips against his.
Your own bravery surprised you, but Tom didn't seem affected. As soon as your lips met, his arms wrapped around you, pulling you closer. He didn't hesitate, he wasn't surprised. He just held you, gently running his lips along yours, tilting his head to deepen the kiss. But as much as you wanted to enjoy the moment, realisation hit you. You were kissing your best friend. You gently pushed him away, stumbling back from the force, covering your mouth with your palm. "I'm so sorry," you breathed, panic rising in your chest. "I have no idea what happened, I don't know why I did that, I'm so sorry," your words were rushed, your heartbeat loudly pulsing in your ears.
But Tom's gaze twinkled. A soft, warm smile grew wider across his face as he stepped forward and wrapped his arms around you. "I'm not," he said as he pressed his forehead against yours. "I've been wanting to kiss you," he breathed as he closed his eyes momentarily, slightly shaking his head. "I've been wanting to tell you how much I love you; I've been trying to gain the courage to say it out loud," he scoffed. "I'm a fool for dragging it out for so long, but I love you," his voice shook as he said the words, but his arms tightened around you, safely holding you against his chest. It took you a second to understand what he meant, that your feelings weren't unrequited, that he has been harbouring the same feelings you have.
A heavy sigh left your lungs, as though a weight fell off your chest. Your lips curved into a smile as you placed your hands on his cheeks, running the tip of your thumbs across his jawline. He mirrored your expression whilst leaning into your touch, planting a small kiss on your palm. "I love you too," you replied finally," the words rolling off the tip of your tongue easier than you expected. "I love you so much," you giggled, wanting to repeat the words over and over again, until you finally understood that it was real, that you weren't dreaming. "You never know what the future holds for you, huh?" You asked, repeating his words from earlier in the evening, earning a loud chuckle from him. "So, is this one of those many possibilities?" you raised a single brow.
"Could be. I have a couple more ideas," he said, his soft smile turning into a confident grin.
"You are terrible," you gently hit his chest as you grabbed his suit-jacket and pulled him down to you, meeting his lips halfway, smiling into the intimate moment you have been craving for so long.

Others have kind of touched on this but seeing as I went into a short ramble on one of @bridgertonbabe's posts & I promised @silverhallow to try to write down my thoughts... Let's take a look on how Benedict views himself & his art in season 2!
P.S. I'm way too lazy to go through the episodes & get the exact scenes I'm talking about. You'll have to do with gifs made by other people. Enjoy!
Tumblr media
In episode 1, we have the scene at the ball where Edwina has just been named the diamond. Benedict says to Anthony, "You look at her the way I look at a finished painting." It's clear that Ben is making fun of & taking the piss out of his brother. We know that Ant isn't interested in Edwina; he just wants to charm the diamond of the season. We could just take this as brotherly banter, but take a second & look at what Ben is actually saying. I read this comment as him trying to hide his insecurity & shyness. That defence mechanism one does when insecure - "If I make fun of myself, it'll hurt less when others do it."
Episode 2, there it's quite clear. Ben looks rather shaken when Will pretty much calls him a real artist. A bit like it came out of nowhere, Ben is embarrassed & talks himself down. He's not an artist, he just dabbles in art.
Tumblr media
In episode 3, we make our first aquiantance with a vulnerable Ben. He tries to be the usual jovial Ben but he's too nervous. In the conversations with Colin, it almost sounds like Ben views himself as being stupid. "Why did I apply? How stupid of me. How could I be so silly to think they would accept me? Benedict, you absolute fool!"
As others have stated, Ben is a zero or hundred person - if the tears at being accepted was due to pure relief or the fact that he was high as a kite, that's up to you to decide.
Tumblr media
Once he gets to the academy, he’s almost like a kid at Christmas. Everything is so exciting! He’s finally amongst people he looks up to, people he wants to be like one day! Whilst Ben can be rather arrogant, I don’t think he views himself as being one of them yet.
I don't remember the exact dialogue but someone asks Ben if he's new & you see that quick moment of panic on his face before Ben answers "is it that obvious?" He's nervous, insecure & doesn't truly feel like he belongs there. He hopes that he is good enough or will become good enough.
Tumblr media
In episode 7, when Ant comes barging in at the academy we see a Ben who's comfortable. He has started to feel like he fits in, he's working on his art & he's making progress. But as soon as he notices that Ant's there, he quickly "straightens up". He knows what his brother & best friend is gonna say & sure enough...
Throughout the season, we've seen Ant refer to it as doodles or that Ben should "go back to [his] pretty pictures"; he straight up laughs in Ben's face when they're talking about poetry. I'm not saying that Ant does this to be cruel or is dismissing Ben on purpose, what I'm saying is that due to Ant's tunnel vision he doesn't notice how it lands with Ben. What also doesn't help the situation is that Ben, just like Ant, is very skilled at putting on a mask, building up that wall & playing his role.
Tumblr media
It's an essay for another time, but I think that after Edmund's death, Anthony went into duty mode whilst Benedict went into jokester mode. When their mother was still grieving, Anthony did the job of making sure that the family stayed afloat, whilst Benedict made sure to put a smile on everyone's face. Throughout the season, we see the chill Ben, who takes the comments in stride up until when Ant is lashing out at everyone. I could be wrong, but I think that's the only time we've seen Ben take offence or even react to those "pretty pictures" comments.
I think that's why Ben feels more hurt & betrayed than he's letting on in episode 8. Ben thought that he had finally made something for himself and carved a place out for himself in society outside of the family. It was Benedict who had achieved something, not one of the Bridgerton brothers. But it was all just pretend. Those comments weren't just brotherly banter; they held some truths to it - that Ben was a joke. None of what had happened at the academy was real, he was fraud & people had just used him for his family name. The people there weren't actually his friends & were supporting him; they were probably all laughing behind his back.
Tumblr media
It was all make believe & it doesn't matter how much Ant takes it back & now encourage him. From Ben's perspective he should have just listened to those thoughts from the beginning. He was stupid to think he was actually good at it! He's not an artist, his paintings will never be called masterpieces. Ben is a joke & everyone knows it, they just didn't want to hurt his feelings.
With that said, I'm waiting for a certain Lady in Silver to arrive because as Luke Thompson said: "He's so open, which is a lovely quality & a lovely thing to play, but he's happy to be pushed or dragged or drawn in lots of different directions. A lot of the challenge for him will be about finding his centre before he can even start to think creatively."

Yandere DS/MP Crytpid/Monster AU
Just like with the serial killet/slasher stuff I'm just tossing out what I can! :)
Warnings: Yandere Themes, obsessiveness, possessiveness, love at first sight, kidnapping mentioned, cannibalism(?) implied, cult behavior mentioned, suggestive, lust at first sight
Foolish
Once a god of the sea, he found a resting place in what would one day become a thriving little town by the sea.
Foolish was a wrathful god that brought so much death and destruction to the shores when he was awoken by the settlers that came. The people started building all kinds of shrines to try to appease him but none of that worked.
That is until a pretty shy little mortal came up to him all on their own to ask him what he wants. The god had never had a proper conversaion with any of these mortal becuase they were all too cowardly but his darling was brave. Foolish announces that he wants them in exchange for prosperity and they agree.
For a short time, everything is as peace and the people thrive. Foolish was happy and so very in love with his little mortal when tragedy struck. His darling became deathly ill and refused to be healed. It was breaking his heart- did they not love him enough to live?
He tried to propose making them immortal but they had refused. They promised him that they'll come find him in the next life and he'll know its them by the feeling of their soul. Heartbroken and reluctant, he agrees. When his darling closes their eyes for the final time in that life he goes to sleep for a long, long time.
Hundreds of years later, there's a shrine where local legend says is built over the grave of the ocean god's lover. They also say since he sleeps deep under the earth of the town, his magic has granted the land with great fortune and healthy lives for those that live there.
They think its silly but whatever gets tourism going. They don't think much when they step onto the shrine and take a few pictures of the monument to the sleeping god that sleeps no more.
Foolish was awake and he knows this traveler is his darling. Even if the world has changed and they don't remember, he'll make sure they stay with him forever this time.
Technoblade
Whatever he was, he was not a true god like the one that came from the sea. He was a god shaped by the hands of the wild men, an abomination made of the voices of hundreds of dead warriors and the flesh and vlood of the slaughtered. Not a man either- a beast.
He was worshipped by those far from the shore, deep in the sense forests of the inland. They brought him sacrifices and shiny things stolen from other villages.
One time long ago he had been brought something so beautiful and pure that Technoblade had developed a whole new taste for flesh that no other human brought before him could satisfy. He swore that the next time he'd ever find such a thing, even long after his worshippers were gone and his land was left to only him and the lesser beasts, he would savor them.
And oh, during his winter migration centuries later, did he find them on the outskirts of the trees. A breathtakingly beautiful face and the smell of pure flesh. Finally.
Techno was not fond of leaving the familiarity of the trees for the land of modern men. But for his darling? He will do anything to taste that flesh once more and for as long as they may live.

Hogwarts idea
Can you make a fic about how Tom sneakes out at night to spend the nights in the readers room (common room/bedroom) he’s a gryffindor and she’s a ravenclaw
Maybe they have a deal with the house teacher of one of the houses. Maybe he tries to hide in her bed as so not to wake the others. Maybe they fall asleep in the common room and have a minor panic when they wake up and it’s morning. Maybe they accidentally switch clothes or one of them steal the others clothes so they walk around with the wrong colors.
love love love love this!!! and I'm sorry it took me so long, I've been in a bit of a writing slump, but this is the best request to get me out of it! thank you <3 and hope you like it. (this got a bit out of hand and I might have changed the ending a lil bit but I hope its good heh)
(gender neutral!reader, I think? at least that's what I went for but if I accidentally missed something just let me know and I'll edit, I'm dumb)
_________________
Being in your seventh year at Hogwarts, with exams just around the corner, was taking up almost every waking minute of your days. Adding the fact that you had your Head Student duties, and Tom had his Quidditch house team to take care of, meaning that you barely ever had time for each other. The only solution, in your young and smitten minds, was that some rules needed to be broken- just a little bit.
It took Tom some time to convince you since you were supposed to be setting the right example for the younger students, but eventually, one gloomy Friday morning, he finally got to you.
"C'mon, love, it will be fun," he had his arm draped around you as you tried to enjoy your breakfast, the looks of your fellow housemates never going unnoticed. There had never been a rule against students eating meals at different tables, and yet, seeing the captain of the Gryffindor team spending all his mornings and evenings at the Ravenclaw table was a strange sight. He preferred your table, he had said one day when you asked, it was quieter. That you could not disagree with. The Gryffindors were always rowdy.
"I don't know Tommy, what if we get in trouble?" you bit the inside of your cheek, as you always did when you got nervous. Tom responded by pulling you in tighter and kissing your cheek, then said:
"That's half the fun of it, darling." His words rushed an array of feelings through you. A part of you started to feel flustered, while the other wanted to shove his face in the large bowl of porridge that stood on the table.
"Please," he looked at you with his usual sad puppy-eyed look. "I feel like never get to see you, y/n. So I'll come over tonight, you can let me into the Rave tower, we'll hang out a bit and then I'll leave- like nothing ever happened. What do you think?"
"I don't know, Tommy-" You tried to keep a straight face, but it was hard to say no to a gorgeous face like his. after a few short moments of silence, you finally agreed, "fine. Be there at 10. Do not be late, Holland."
"I wouldn't dare to waste a second away from you." He kissed you, grabbed a slice of toast (from your plate, of course), and got up.
"Wait, where are you going?" You asked, confused, since breakfast wouldn't end for another 20 minutes.
"I'm kind of late for early detention with McGonagall," he chuckled before running off, toast between his teeth. You just rolled your eyes and finished your meal in peace.
You never really thought that your classes were boring, but that day, every minute seemed to go by at a quarter of its speed. It was as if someone had put a time-stopping hex on you if that even was a thing. You couldn't wait to finish your studies in the library (the scheduled hours at the library was necessary since there was still so much to get through before the NEWTs), so you could make your way back to the Great Hall for dinner. Once there, you immediately were on the lookout for the head of dark brown curls. You stood in the doorway, letting people pass you, but no luck; Tom was nowhere to be seen.
Internally, you already started cursing. It would be just your luck that he'd get attention again for the rest of the night. Why did you have to fall for the troublemaker-
"Aaah!" you shrieked as suddenly your feet were lifted from the ground. Arms wrapped around your middle, and you were spinning around. You wanted to scream more, but you heard the familiar laugh, and it immediately put you at ease.
"Put me down," you laughed. Tom complied without pretence. But his hands remained at your sides as you turned to face him. And then, eagerly, his lips met yours in a chaste kiss.
It was, of course, silly to think that you could have this moment just for yourself, in a hall filled with hundreds of students. Only a few seconds into your kiss, you could hear wolf-whistles around you. Someone, who sounded very much like Tom's friend and team co-captain Harrison, called out from afar: "Get it, Holland!" Tom was quick to put up two fingers in his direction, not paying attention to anyone. But the mood was ruined, and you pulled apart.
"Missed you today," he said softly.
"Missed you, too." You replied. His fingers slipped between yours, and like that, hand in hand, you were already making your way to the Ravenclaw table, but, unfortunately, Tom was stopped when someone tugged at the back of his robes.
"Oi, you dickhead-" but he laughed it off when he saw it was Ben, another friend and member of the Gryffindor team.
"Sorry 'bout that," Ben apologised, "but we're supposed to be holding a team meeting, remember?" He pointed over at the Gryffindor table, and, indeed, the rest of the team was huddled together at the edge of the table. Harrison had gotten up when he saw you and Tom looking, returning the gesture of the two fingers held up in the V-shape.
"Shit, I forgot." Tom brushed his fingers through his hair. He looked at you, eyes already full of regret, and you could tell he was ready to apologise, but you stopped him before he even opened his mouth.
"Don't worry, we'll talk later, yeah." You kissed him on the cheek, "remember, 10."
And miraculously, Tom did remember. As the clock in the Ravenclaw common room struck 10, you heard the faint knock at the other side of the entrance. Of course, Tom knew where and how to access the Ravenclaw tower, but the riddles that the eagle doorknocker asked were at times a bit too hard, bless him.
You pushed the door open, and there he stood. His robes were exchanged for sweatpants and a hoodie. A blue one, you noticed, not that that would help him fit in with the crowd in the common room. Tom had been team captain for the past three years, and his team had not failed to win the cup once since he had even joined the team, to begin with. Everyone in school knew him and adored him. Not even the rest of your house managed to be mad at him (though the Ravenclaw team definitely held a bit of a grudge after a few bad losses over the years).
He stepped inside, and you quickly lead him around the common room up the stairs of the dormitories.
You had heard that years ago, the stairs had a spell on them that stopped the male students from even attempting to step up to the other dormitories. Now, however, this "rule" has been dropped, ever since several students expressed their concerns for the double standards between the male and female student body, as well as the discomfort it might set up for the queer students.
Personally, you thought it would be even better if every student could have their own room, since sharing a space with four other people could get a bit crowded at times and you liked your privacy, but it was understandable that in an ancient building like Hogwarts renovations were not always an option.
Luck struck once more when you opened the door to your dormitory, and it was empty. All of your friends were still out, most likely staring at their books, in the hopes of getting struck with a moment of brilliance that could help them pass their exams. You closed the door, and Tom made himself comfortable in your bed.
It felt like the entire day had already been wasted, not to mention dinner, so you hurried down to your bed, pulling down the curtains of the four-poster, just to get that little bit of privacy you longed for at the end long day. But, of course, it was nothing unusual or suspicious since you often closed your curtains when you were too tired to chat with your roommates.
It was dark with the curtains closed, but Tom was quick to pull out his wand and murmured "lumos" the tip immediately illuminated in soft blue light. The glow was just enough for you to see his face, the goofy grin taking over his features.
"What are you laughing at?" you asked, whispering in case someone would walk in.
"Nothing," he shrugged, "just happy to be here with you."
"You're daft," you laughed.
"Yeah, about you," and with that, he kissed you. The light at the end of his want went out as he dropped between you. His lips were soft and sweet, the pudding that had been served with dinner still lingering on him. He must have stolen a few cookies from the table when it had finished, you thought, to eat later. He often did that.
You stayed like that, cuddling, stealing kisses from one another, for hours, probably. You were never quite sure because eventually, you both drifted off into a slumber. You could have probably slept like that, wrapped in his arms, forever, if it wasn't the bright light peeking through your curtains that was hitting you right in the face. And the whispers. You could hear people talking.
"I swear, they're just the cutest." It was your friend talking.
"But do they really need to do it here?" A second voice said, also familiar to you. "I mean, how many rules do you think they're breaking?"
"Oh shut!" you heard pillows being thrown. Or at least assumed that was what was happening around you. You couldn't be bothered to open your eyes, instead deciding to focus on Tom and his calm breathing. Your head was close to his chest, so you felt it rise with each inhale he took, and you could hear his heartbeat.
It was Saturday, meaning no classes. You had studied every day for the past few weeks, definitely deserving a little break for the day. If you remembered correctly, Tom wouldn't have training until the late afternoon and you could always skip breakfast. If you got hungry before tea, you could always sneak into the kitchens. After all, the two of you had already broken so many rules, what would be the harm in one more.
Ignoring the further whispers of your friends, you snuggled closer to Tom, feeling his arm wrapping tighter around you. Both of you shuffled around a bit, trying to find back the comfort from the night, and quickly you fell back to sleep.

idol! yunho x reader
rating: m
genre: fluffy and smutty
w.c.: 2k
warnings: unprotected sex!!!, oral (fem r)
summary: Interrupting your reading, Yunho proposes a game: Eat you out while you sing his group's new song, Aurora.
__________________________________________________________
The dim glow of your book light shone brightly against the pale moon’s gleam. Laying curled utop the fluffy mattress and pillows, the smell of fresh detergent and new book hung in the air. Yunho told you he would be late tonight, that they were finally going to finish recording, that you shouldn’t wait, but you weren’t still awake for him. These were the final hundred pages of the last book of an eight book series-- a lot of hours lead to this moment. It was bitter sweet, these last pages. You were speeding through them to finally finish the plot but, after this, it would be over. But you had to know how it would end.
From outside the bedroom, you could hear the opening and closing of the front door followed by heavy footsteps. “Baby,” a deep voice called.
“Yeah,” you half heartedly replied, still engrossed in your novel.
“What are you doing up?” he asked, coming through the bedroom door. “I could see your reading light; it’s almost 2.” You could see him in your peripheral vision: he stood tall, hands on his hips, loose clothing hanging off his build frame.
“I’m finishing this book,” you said, trying to remain focused on the words on the page.
He chuckled lightly, his voice a little raspy from the recording session he had just finished. “Aren’t you tired?” He rubbed the back of his neck with his hand.
“No,” you replied.
“Hmm,” he hummed and you could hear him walk towards the closet, the dull sound of clothing falling to the floor behind him.
He emerged from the closet as you turned a page. “Hey,” he stood in front of you: shirtless and divine.
“What?” you rolled onto your back to read more comfortably.
“What do I have to do,” you felt the bed cave as he climbed on. “To get you to look away from that book?”
You didn’t respond as things in your story were finally coming together.
He sighed heavily against the skin of your lower leg.
“Yunho,” you giggled as he began to kiss up your legs. “I know you’re excited about the song, but I really want to finish this book first.”
“Come on,” he crawled up your body, leaving kisses on your collar bones as you held the book above his head. “It’ll be fun,” he said with a cloy tone.
“It’s always fun,” you said, rereading the same paragraph for the third time. “It’ll be fun in thirty minutes.”
“No,” he came face-to-face with you. “I mean fun fun. I have a game.”
Your eyes froze on the page behind him. Yunho was a fun loving guy both in and out of the bedroom. Sex with him was always carefree and full of love but-- a game? That was new.
“A game?” You asked, keeping your eyes on the page though not reading the words.
“I knew that would get you,” he breathed against your neck. “Yes, a game.”
“What kind of game?”
“Ahh,” he tapped a finger against your jaw. “You’ll have to put the book down to find out.”
Damn your curiosity; you dropped the book without even saving your page.
“Hey, sexy” he winked.
“Gross,” you pushed his face away. “Now tell me the game.”
“You’re gross,” he muttered but sat up next to you. “So, here's what I’m thinking: I'm going to eat you out while you sing a specific song. If you sing the whole song, I’ll make you come.”
Blood definitely rushed into your cheeks. He said it so nonchalantly, like he was ordering a coffee. And what was that if part?”
“If?” you asked. He had never held an orgasm from you. He was selfless during sex, always about pleasing you.
“If,” the syllable rolled off his lips. “You can’t finish the song, I won’t let you come.”
“What do you get out of this?” You asked, confused by his motives.
“Nothing but your taste and voice.” The look he gave you was almost sickeningly sweet.  And he always looked at you like this before he went down on you: such anticipation and excitement, like you were his favorite flavour of ice cream on a blistering summer day. “So… yes?” His eyes softened into his killer puppy dog beg. Oh, those eyes, you always wanted to kiss him when he looked at you with those eyes.
He leaned into you as he noticed your gaze on his lips.
“What song?” You whispered as the gap closed.
“Aurora,” he spoke against your lips.
“Hmm,” you hummed, having a feeling of foreboding from this song choice. He seemed too cocky as he smiled into the kiss. But this kiss was so intoxicating and the feeling of his hands on your hips so perfect. “Okay,” you broke away.
“Okay,” he said with immense satisfaction, trying to conceal the grin that tugged at the corners of his mouth.
His hands gripped your hips tighter as he pulled you down the bed, resting you now flat on your back. He sat on top of you, his weight pressing down on your thighs. Delicately, he placed his lips on yours as his hands hungrily groped at the skin beneath your sleep shirt. Warm hands tugged at the fabric and pulled it over your head. His wet tongue fell to the valley between your tits as his hands reached for the waistband of your shorts. With one sharp tug, your shorts and panties were on the floor.
As he came up from your breast to kiss you, you reached for the bulge in his pants but he quickly pulled away. “Uh uh uh,” he spoke disapprovingly. “That’s not part of the game.”
“Can we make it part of the game?” You tried to mimic Yunho’s puppy eyes.
“Nope,” he responded before you even finished your sentence. It never worked on him. “Start singing.”
You opened your mouth but your breath hitched as you saw Yunho lowering his face to your pussy. “I won’t do it if you don’t sing.” He looked up at you with a smirk.
“You go first.”
“Okay,” he chuckled and you could feel his breath against your clit making your walls clench. “Fine.”
His lips were warm but chapped. They moved gently as he kissed pepperd butterfly kisses on the lips of your pussy.
Shakily you took a deep breath and began to sing. You weren’t a particularly good singer but, Yuhno always loved to hear your pitchy voice-- especially if it was his group’s song you sang off key.
You were half way through the first verse when he added a finger, causing you to moan loudly.
“Keep going, baby, or you’ll have to start over,” he spoke against your clit, leaving you squirming from the vibration of his voice.
“I-i,” you struggled to remember the lyrics as pleasure muddled your thoughts. “I don’t remember where I was.”
“You’re going to have to start over then.”
You would have wriggled away from him if his forearm wasn’t pinning you to the mattress, his breath made you see stars.
His tongue swiped over your clit as you choked out the first lines again. His pace quickened with each line leaving you tongue tied. You barely made it to the chorus-- 나를 감싸줘 My Aurora, leaving your lips as nothing but a whisper.
“y/n,” he raised his chin and you watched with shaky eyes as he licked his lips. “I can’t hear your beautiful voice. Are you going to sing louder?”
You nodded your head eagerly, continuing where you had left off with the chorus.
A second finger entered you as you began the second verse, forming a knot in your stomach. The words couldn’t come to mind and the only thing that escaped your lips was a low, continuous moan that came from deep in your chest.
He removed his lips and raised his dark eyes to meet yours, dull nails lightly grazing the outside of your upper thigh. “Start over, baby,”
“Yunho,” you desperately ran your hands through your tangled hair, terribly frustrated by this little game. “I can’t think straight. I don’t even know the lyrics without your mouth-”
“앞에 펼쳐진,” he cut you off, dropping his head back down between your trembling legs.
The original confidence you had when he walked through that bedroom door and proposed this little game completely melted into the sheets you fisted in your now white hands. These first couple lines you could handle, they were Yunho’s lines-- he sang them all the time: in the shower, doing the dishes, folding laundry. And now, he sang them against your vagina. Yet, the lyrics melted your brain, you couldn’t even register the sound of your own voice. Though, you imagined you weren’t saying much of anything.
“Yunho,” you gripped his hair, pulling his head up. “Please, just fuck me. I can’t take this anymore. I’ll never remember all the lyrics and you’ll eat so much of me you’ll never want to eat me out again.”
“But, y/n,” he pouted. “I would never be sick of you.”
“Please,” you flashed the puppy dog eyes again and, this time, it worked.
“Okay, baby,” he said, climbing up your body.
As fluffy as ever, he smiled as he kissed you. “I love you, y/n,” he placed his forehead against yours.
“I love you too, silly boy,” you fiddled with the hair at the base of his neck. “Now, please fuck me so I can finish my book.”
He laughed, leaning back on his heels as he pulled down his pants.
He eased into you slowly, your walls already clenching from the extreme arousal. “I don’t think I’m going to last long,” he said with a moan. “You feel too good.”
“me neither,” you whined, not even able to relax enough for Yunho to bottom out. His dick throbbed too deliciously against your walls.
“I’m going to move,” his hips shuttered as his head fell to your chest.
“Please, move,” you moaned, now digging your nails into his neck.
His pace started out slow, a light gunt leaving his lips with each thrust. Your hands entangled in his hair, tugging lightly, desperate for his lips.
You pulled at his hair but his lips remained fixed on your collar bone. “Yunho,” you whined.
Lustfully, he licked up the side of your neck, his lips coming to rest on your jaw. His hips became erratic as he sucked on your jaw.
“Yunho,” you grabbed at his face. “Please kiss me.”
He mumbled something against your skin as a hand reached for your leg, pulling it up his back, shifting the angle of his thrusts.
“W-what,” you choked.
Tears began to well in the corners of your eyes, the pleasure almost unbearable. Your climax was fast approaching as the knot grew so tight, it could snap at any moment.
“Come,” he said, crashing his lips onto yours.
Your walls were painted white, his hips continuing to fuck the warm cum into you as he kissed you. Fluttering fingers met your clit and your orgasm tore through you like a lightning bolt, leaving your mouth hung in a silent screen. A shiver ran through your whole body when he pulled out.
Yunho dropped to his side, face still buried in your neck, hot breaths against your skin as he caught his breath. “Are your legs okay?” He rubbed your lower stomach lovingly.
“Mhm,” you hummed. “But,” you pulled your legs up, the pain making you wince. “Could you carry me to the bathroom, please?”
“Yeah, baby,” he shifted and stood, reaching his arms under your sore body and pulling you close to his chest. You could feel the cum leak out of you and down his forearm.
He helped you clean up and left you sitting on the bathroom counter to brush your teeth as he changed the sheets.
It was a warm night and Yunho slept shirtless and you could hear the echo of his heart beating like a drum against his ribs. “You’re not going to finish your book?” He asked, stroking your hair as your head laid on his chest.
“I can’t keep my eyes open.”
“Me neither,” he sighed.
As you drifted to sleep, the gentle sound of the fan and the soothing melody of Yunho’s voice cooled your body and stilled your mind.

Part III
Tumblr media
Pairing: Steve x reader, Bucky x reader, Thor x reader, Loki x reader, Peter x reader
Warnings: yandere, obsession, stalking, possessiveness, theft, brief mentions of blackmail and prostitution, all characters are adults.
Words: 1135.
Summary: Transferring to Stark Academy that has only allowed to take in female students last semester, you realize you are just one of three young women among hundreds of students. Your things are constantly being stolen, and soon you begin fearing for your safety.
Part I
Part II
___________
Bewildered by Steve’s words, you froze, still hoping it was all a joke. He had literally made a schedule for you. What then? Were they going to assign each other roles or something? Make a play out of it?
“Of course, I will finish working on a set of rules soon. I need a couple more days, I think.” Rogers said, and Bucky’s eyes rolled skyward.
“Steve, please. Don’t you think it’s too much?” He breathed out tiredly and rubbed his face, others staring at his best friend with the same expression of disinterest.
“I’m not going to set some draconian rules to make your life more difficult. But we need to know when most students leave the main building, when it's safe to be in the library, and so on. That’s what I’ll be working on.”
Well, that didn’t sound too bad, but you thought that Steve, someone who was used to being a leader, could also get used to giving orders to all of you. You certainly did want it to happen because now it looked more and more like some police operation rather than a school play you thought of first.
“Anyway, it’s getting late.” Loki got up the sofa, and you stared at his well-cut black jacket and pants that fit him perfectly - no doubt, they were made specially for him by a tailor. “Since it’s Tuesday, I guess it’s my turn to walk the lady back to the dorm.”
He sounded very sarcastic, and you shivered, not very eager to stay alone with him, but others were already getting up, intending to leave. Dammit. Out of them all Loki seemed the least harmless, and you dreaded walking the empty corridors with him. Why nobody objected to him being in this protection squad?
“Don’t try anything stupid.” Bucky snorted as he passed by the guy who was supposed to be your personal guard for this evening, and Loki sent him a sly smile as if he definitely wanted to try something others wouldn’t like.
“Let’s go, shall we?”
Nodding, you left the student council room and tried to keep your distance - you hoped he wouldn’t curl his arm around your waist or touch you anyhow because the thought made your stomach churn. Loki definitely saw it in your face, and his smirk got wider.
Keeping quiet, you were walking together until you left the main building. Out of all people, why did he agreed to something like that? Maybe you could understand why Peter got involved, but Loki? He seemed the misanthropic kind who wanted to do nothing with people. Judging by the way he looked, talked, and moved, he was brought up in a wealthy family. Loki had an air of superiority around him the way Steve had, but he was different: while Steve seemed to be carrying a burden, Loki enjoyed the effect he had on people.
Why somebody like him was getting involved in your mess? For the sheer sense of control?
“No need to be so afraid.” He said nonchalantly, and you pursed your lips like you’d been chewing a lemon rind. Yes, it was definitely for the sense of control.
“I’m not afraid. Not of you, at least.” You sighed. “You don’t look like a person who’d be walking around stealing girls’ lingerie.”
“What if I am?”
Scoffing, you raised your head to look him in the eyes - Loki was rather tall, and you were forced to look up at him.
“If you ever needed a girl’s underwear, I bet you’d just go and ask for it. Don’t tell me you’ve never had a girlfriend or something.”
Funny enough, now his attitude was making you act way braver than in the student council room just a couple of minutes ago. For some reason, just his expression alone was making you want to stand up to him, despite the fact Loki didn’t say anything offensive to you. You didn’t feel scared at all as if all fear vanished once you left the room.
“Can’t say you’re wrong. Although I don’t have a girlfriend at the moment, I could take a taxi to the city right now, go to a club and pay some girl to do whatever I want.” The naked truth made you frown, but Loki carried on as if nothing had happened. “But it's getting... old.”
Was he so rich to the point he would do this? Was it something so casual to him he spoke of it freely? You thought you’d never really met a person who openly admitted they paid to a prostitute. Well, obviously, Loki couldn’t care less about opinions of others, you included.
“This doesn’t explain why you agreed to help me. I don’t think you’d come just because Steve asked you to.”
“True. I just thought it would be entertaining.”
Watching the dormitory building growing bigger in front of you with your every step, you bit down on your lower lip. It was exactly as you thought, Loki simply wanted an entertainment while having someone under his control to please his ego.
Although it didn’t look nice, at least he wasn’t among those creeps who had been following you and stealing your things. If any of them were to disturb you, you had a feeling Loki would me most displeased - if you were to be in his care, somebody messing with you would probably make him feel like he's not in control, and it would make him furious, you thought.
“Listen, I’m being serious. I know what effect I have on people, and I’m not surprised you don’t like me.” He suddenly said, and you tensed again. “But I’m not the one you have to be worrying about. I’m not here to trick you into thinking I’m your knight in shining armor. You better be careful around the others. They’ll do whatever it takes to gain your favors.”
Suddenly stopping before you two could enter the dorm, he asked you for your phone number and gave you a quick call to ensure you would have his contact details when you might need him.
Perplexed by his words to the point you lost your vigor, you wanted to ask him who exactly he was talking about, but then you thought Loki meant all of them, all other four guys who seemed more or less harmless to you. Did he say that because he wanted to gain your favors? Or was it because he knew something about them you didn't?
____________
"Just don't act like a silly little sheep around them. I know you got a sharp tongue, so you better remember it when they'll try to force you do something they want. Steve's right about one thing: people need to know you can protect yourself. Those four have to remember it, too."

Inamorata - Sukuna
Tumblr media
You have no idea how much I like this idea lol ya know the meme ‘i got a boyfriend, yeah he kills people he’s crazy’ this is exactly what went through my head with this. Femme reader, I went for a...Sukuna is his own person and not attached to Itadori kind of thing? Like just a stand-alone demon. I had probably way too much fun writing this and would be down to write more for this concept
Content warnings: killing/murder/homicide choose your preferred noun, a little yandere?, size difference and Sukuna is in his four armed form, uhmm there’s a knife(main use to cut open readers palm in the beginning) and also licking blood from said wound, violence/gore at the end
Apparently there was a demon on the loose. From what you’d read on online forums and heard through the whispers of older people on the train, there was a foreboding presence terrorizing the city, preying on the weak and helpless and hoping to take over the world.
There were blurry photos and horrible sketches of what the creature supposedly looked like and the form it took, but none of them seemed to match up. The tattoos on the face and body were always off, the amount of muscle and the stature of the creature were all different depending on who you went to.
Which is why you decided, against all better judgement, to go looking for him. All the stories you’d heard about the demon, the kind of creature it was centuries ago in its prime, had intrigued you. With the mystique and terror surrounding this demon, you’d be a fool not to try and get a peek for yourself.
At first you’d tried a summoning circle, clearing a large space in your bedroom and drawing intricate patterns on the floor in hopes of his arrival. That method quickly turned futile as no demon ever came - but now you probably had a few ghosts watching you sleep at night.
The second method was to try and make a pact with the devil himself, slicing open your palm and dripping blood onto the pages of old scriptures. Attempting to sell your soul had worked even less than the first method and all you had to show for it was a bandage around your hand for two weeks.
“I’ll definitely see him now.” You mumbled to yourself, walking straight to where the demon was seen most: the red light district. Walking past bright neon signs and nearly naked women in shop windows, you took a peek into every alleyway you came across.
“Hey pretty lady, what’re you looking for?” A rough, scratchy voice sounded behind you as you walked past the umpteenth alleyway of the night.
“What do you think?” Not looking over your shoulder, you kept walking. The voice, while sounding absolutely disgusting, didn’t belong to a demon and therefore not worth your time.
“I think you’re looking for trouble.” Curling his fingers around your arm, the man you were trying to ignore snatched you back, making you stumble and fall into his chest. The nasty scent of body odor and cigarettes was wafting off the man, making you worry that his stench would cling to you for days.
“Not the kind you’re talking about.” Pushing away from him, you furiously wiped off your clothes. Looking this man in the face irritated you, he was wasting his time and you knew exactly what his intentions were.
“Don’t play so hard to get!” Forcing a less than charming smile on his face, the man made the move to grab you again.
“Don’t touch me!” Slapping his hands away, you took generous steps back from him. “You’re getting in the way of my search.”
“Search?” Quirking a brow at you, the man took a moment to think before his brows rose in surprise. “You’re looking for Sukuna, aren’t you?”
“That’s his name?” You’d never heard his name before, only seeing some people refer to him as a four armed creature from hell.
“Yup, and I’ve seen him a couple times.” Crossing his arms over his chest, the man smirked triumphantly. “You could say he and I have a kind of friendly relationship.”
“Do you now?” Your eyes trailed up from the man to the dark alleyway behind him where two glowing red eyes emerged.
“Oh yeah, Sukuna’s a great guy! Even offered to give me a position in his little army.” The more he spoke the brighter the eyes got and the fuzzy outline of a gigantic body was starting to take shape.
“His little army?” Slowly taking steps back as the figure came forward, you barely had time to react before the man was snatched up by two giant hands and yanked backwards. Lifting him into the air, it wasn’t long before a mouth with gleaming sharp teeth opened up and swallowed him whole.
As the eyes drew their attention back to you, a nervous laugh left your chest that you couldn’t force to stop. Every step you took back was now accompanied by a step forward from the creature until it fully left the alleyway and you saw exactly what you were dealing with.
Right in front of you, in full form and glory, was the demon you’d been searching for. The scrawling black tattoos along his entire body, the four arms, pink hair, second set of eyes and his impossibly muscular physique - all of it was exactly like you’d been hoping for.
“Hello, pretty little thing.” His voice boomed despite being relatively quiet, a slight echo to the deep timbre. It was almost melodic in a way, somehow soothing your racing heart just slightly.
“S-sukuna?” You squeaked out, back meeting the brick wall of a building.
“That would be me.” Chuckling as he stopped a few feet from you, Sukuna crossed his secondary arms and looked down upon you. The sheer height and width of his body easily dwarfed yours, your head only barely reaching his ribcage.
Your eyes couldn’t stay in one place as you looked at Sukuna. There was too much to take in and you could feel yourself quickly becoming overwhelmed trying to commit every detail to memory.
“You’re…” Licking your lips nervously, you could only meet his eyes for a moment before settling on the mark on his forehead. “You’re wearing womens clothes.” Tied around his waist and hanging off his legs was indeed a womens kimono, a surprising pristine white shade.
“That’s what you decide to say at our first meeting?” An echoing laugh bellowed from him and Sukuna shook his head, running one hand through his hair.
“I-I’m sorry it’s just...they never mentioned it online.” It felt a little silly to be explaining yourself to him when at any moment Sukuna could eat you like he did that man and you would have no way of stopping him.
“Little thing, I have a question for you.” Fixing you with a suddenly sharp stare, Sukuna lowered his brow and bent down, placing two arms above your head and two at your side, trapping you in against the wall with no possible outs.
“Yes?” Pinching your eyes closed, you held your breath as you waited for the inevitable bite of his teeth around.
“Are you scared?” Sukuna whispered, his breath fanning out over the top of your head.
“Yes.” It would be a lie to say no and you had nothing to lose by telling the truth. Sukuna’s eyes bore into you, the weight of his stare physically making your back bow.
“What did you think of me eating that man just now? Was that terrifying for you?”
“No.” Sukuna took a pause at your answer and although you couldn’t see it, his brow furrowed for a fraction of a second.
“What did you feel then? Surely you must have thought it was horrible.”
“N-not really.” Slowly cracking one eye open, you looked up at Sukuna, almost breaking your neck from having to stare directly above you. “I was actually quite happy you did that. He was getting on my nerves.”
The barking laugh that left Sukuna’s mouth made you flinch and throw your hands in the air. It was so loud it seemed to vibrate your entire body and a few windows on the building behind you shook from the force.
“You’re telling me you liked me killing that guy?” Grabbing you by the collar of your shirt, Sukuna held you up in the air, eye level to him. You nodded, pitifully kicking your legs out to try and get back to solid ground. “Aren’t you a messed up little thing?” Still laughing, Sukuna took a proper once over of your body. “Pretty, but messed up.”
“P-please let me go!” You whimpered, hands desperately clutching Sukuna’s to try and not fall out of your clothes and onto the ground.
“What’s wrong? Don’t like how I hold you?” Shaking you for good effect, Sukuna smirked wildly at your scared little squeaks. “Tell me your name.”
“It’s (Y/N)!” Shouting into the air, you felt relief flood into you as Sukuna finally lowered you back to the ground and his hands released you.
“(Y/N)?” Sounding it out on his tongue, Sukuna shrugged to himself. “I like ‘little thing’ better.”
“I’m only little compared to you.” Fixing your clothes, you tried to regain your breath and stop your body from shaking so violently.
“So, what’s a creature like you doing out so late at night here? It’s not safe for a human like you to roam around these parts.”
“I was looking for you.”
“Me? You were looking for me?” Sukuna snorted, waving his hand dismissively at you. “A human like you looking for me? I’ve really seen it all.”
“It’s true!” Pulling out your phone, you quickly showed him all the data you’d compiled on him. “I’ve been looking for you everywhere, Sukuna! I did a summoning circle, I’ve looked in hundreds of online forums - I even tried to make a deal with the devil!” Showing him the mark that was still healing on your palm, the fear that was in your body was slowly trickling out and being replaced with- hope? Excitement? It was hard to say, but as Sukuna grasped your hand between two fingers and looked at your palm, it would be wrong to say it was a negative emotion you felt.
“You really did all that for me?” His voice was much softer now but it still sounded like he was mocking you. Smoothing the pad of one finger across your palm, he felt the ridges of your palm and the wound.
“I did. I find you really fascinating and I- I just wanted to learn more about you.” You faltered when he looked at you, a fierce heat overtaking your cheeks at admitting out loud that you’d been looking for a demon because you found him interesting.
“Are you perhaps interested in me?” A smirk tugged one side of Sukuna’s lip up and he chuckled when your expression only grew more flustered. “Oh little thing, you’re more messed up than I thought.”
“Will you tell me more about yourself? Please?” The words tumbled out of your mouth desperately as you let Sukuna stretch out your arm and grasp your hand more firmly. He didn’t answer you or even acknowledge that you’d spoken, instead grazing the tip of one long sharp nail along the line of the cut.
“I find myself liking you more and more, why is that?” Sukuna’s tone sounded like he was addressing himself as he spoke aloud, turning your hand every which way as he kept scraping his nail against your palm. “Were you my lover in the past, back when I reigned as the ruler of this whole land?”
Racking your brain to try and remember any information on Sukuna potentially having a lover, you were ripped back to reality when Sukuna dug his nail into your skin, reopening the cut and making blood flow freely.
“Ow!” You couldn’t yank your arm out of his grasp and you watched in mild horror as Sukuna lowered himself to your hand, letting his tongue hang out of his mouth and drag across your skin. His tongue quickly became coated in dark red blood, his saliva starting to mingle with your blood.
“You taste so familiar, you must have been mine.” Lapping up your blood now, Sukuna didn’t stop until he could tell you were starting to get weak from blood loss. The lower half of his face was now covered in red, smeared across his skin like paint.
“Sukuna, that’s gross.” The mumble slipped from your delirious mind, making him laugh as he waved a hand over the cut and made it go away. Slipping your hand from his grasp it was like there had never been a mark there in the first place.
“A human telling me what’s gross?” Licking his face clean, Sukuna grinned down at you. The longer he looked at you the longer memories of a past you returned to his mind. The irresistible draw he felt to come to you tonight had been the same one that called to him centuries ago, making you the center of his otherwise cruel and empty world.
Placing two hands on the wall behind you, Sukuna leaned over you once more, this time grasping your chin and turning your face up to him. The saliva that had mixed with your blood had also given you new memories of the past as well, and as you looked at Sukuna you remembered all the things the two of you had done together.
“So, my pet, what shall we do first?”
Sukuna ended up carrying you home, having you tucked inside his kimono as he leaped on rooftops across the city. Opening your bedroom window, Sukuna shoved his body through, having to make himself slightly smaller to fit inside the house.
“Are you uh, hungry?” Standing awkwardly in the middle of your bedroom as Sukuna sat on your bed, you weren’t quite sure what to do now.
“I could eat.” Laying fully back on your bed, it creaked and groaned as Sukuna rested his weight on it. The thought of offering to take him to the kitchen came and went quickly in your head; just getting him into your room was a hard enough task.
Fixing him and yourself a quick meal, as soon as you were done eating Sukuna picked you up and rested you on his abdomen. Even after shrinking himself down your legs were still stretched as wide as possible in hopes of wrapping around his waist.
“As the memories of you return, I realize how much I’ve missed you, my pretty little thing.” Petting down your back, Sukuna looked at you fondly. Propped up on two of his arms, he could stare directly at your tiny body sitting atop him.
“What kind of memories do you have?” So far, the only thing you could seem to recall were memories of a more sexual nature. One’s of you and Sukuna wrapped up in each other's arms, both of his cocks stuffed inside you as you begged to cum.
“I remember giving you the world, whatever you wanted was yours for the taking.” The look in Sukunas eyes was surprisingly soft and you could feel the love coming out from him.
“Whatever I wanted?” Repeating the words, your mouth hung open slightly at all the possible things you could get.
“The world may exist to serve me, but I exist to serve you.” Fully sitting up, Sukuna held you against him as he leaned down, lips grazing your forehead. “What do you want, (Y/N)? I can get you anything in the world, I can do anything in the world.”
“Kill for me.” The whisper that left your lips was almost too quiet for even yourself to hear. But Sukuna nodded, having heard you perfectly. Your words made his body thrum with excitement and his nerves were on edge.
“Kill for you?” He repeated, kissing you on the forehead. The fingers that held you closely dug into your sides and if Sukuna wasn’t careful he could crush you completely.
“You love me, don’t you?” There was just the slightest hint of worry in your voice. What if you were overestimating your power over Sukuna? He could say no or even kill you himself.
“You have no idea what the things my love for you will do.”
Although it pained him to do so, Sukuna left you once the sun began to rise. He had other things to attend to, temples that worshipped him as a god to visit. Promising to see you once dusk began to settle over the sky, Sukuna leapt from your window and into the horizon.
“You came back.” Even though he swore up and down he’d come back, it still shocked you to see him back on your bed once it hit a certain time of night.
“Of course I did.” Sukuna almost seemed hurt you would question him. Holding out a hand, as soon as you grasped one of his fingers he pulled you to him and nestled your body into his side. “Did you do what I asked?”
“The list is in my pocket.” Before leaving, Sukuna had told you to make a list of all the people you wanted him to kill for you. The list had started out short, just a few people that had hurt you that you couldn’t let go of, and then it grew to others, politicians and corrupt people in the media.
“Quite impressive, little thing.” Reading over the list, Sukuna stood up. “Shall we go then?”
“Go whe-” As Sukuna threw open your bedroom window you were met with a strong gust of wind. “Sukuna, where are we going?” You asked him over the wind in your ears. Putting his upper arms into the sleeves of his kimono, he made sure you were nestled safely inside.
“We’re going to take care of the first person on your list.” Wrapping an arm around you, Sukuna jumped out of the window. Though this wasn’t your first time in this position, you hadn’t been fully cognizant when Sukuna took you home last night. Now, with a head clear and no lack of blood to distract you, you could see the lights of the city clearly as they whipped past you.
“It’s beautiful.” Carefully leaning forward, you gazed at the downtown area with all the flashing lights and swerving cars.
“If you say so.” Patting your hip, Sukuna pulled you back, resting your weight fully on his arm and clothes. He wouldn’t admit it, and despite knowing he would catch you in a millisecond, Sukuna didn’t want you to fall out and fall to the ground.
Coming upon the first persons house, he settled you on the ground outside. You were in a tightly knit residential area standing directly under a streetlight, with rows of houses that all looked similar. In a flash, Sukuna had broken into the house and grabbed the person you were after.
“This them?” With a tight grip on their ankle, Sukuna shook them side to side.
“Mhmm.” You didn’t need to look to know he’d gotten the right person, just the feeling you had around them was enough to confirm it.
“W-what’s going on here?!” They screamed, blood pooling in their head the longer they hung upside down.
“Don’t speak.” Sukuna barked, shaking them once again. “You don’t speak to her, or at all.” The person screamed again, a high pitched sound that quickly got shut off as Sukuna swung their body and smacked them against the ground. “I thought I told you to be quiet.”
For a moment you thought they’d died from how hard Sukuna hit them against the ground, but a small whimper and breathless gasps sounded from where their face was crushed against the pavement.
“Do you know why I’m here?” You whispered, standing over their motionless body. Rolling over onto their back, they shook their head and started to stammer. “If you can’t answer my question I don’t want you to make a sound.” Pressing your foot onto their throat, you flinched when their hands came up to try and claw you away.
“Don’t touch her.” Instantly pinning their arms down, Sukuna glowered. “How would you like me to do it?”
“Let me think.” Staring down into their glassy eyes, a million options went through your mind. Sukuna’s power was limitless, there was nothing he couldn’t do. If you asked him to throw their body into outer space, he would do it in a heartbeat. “Rip them limb from limb. You can eat them if you’d like.”
“As you wish.” A sick grin curled Sukuna’s lip and he drug their body across the ground until they were directly underneath him.
“(Y/N) wait! W-wait please!” Their shrill cries fell on deaf ears, and the sound of the first limb being torn off their body was something you could get used to. “Oh- oh my god, my leg!”
“God I wish you’d shut up.” You kept your eyes on the person's face, refusing to look at where blood squirted generously from their now missing extremity.
“Allow me.” With the swipe of one claw Sukuna gouged out their throat. Hot, bright red blood spilled out onto the pavement, pooling and almost making it to where you stood. Throwing one leg into his mouth, Sukuna used a non-bloody hand to lift you up and place you onto a brick wall.
“Thank you.” Giving him a gentle smile, you now had a front row seat to Sukuna ripping apart this person's body and slowly devouring them. There was a mess of blood coating Sukuna’s skin, far more blood than when he had drunk yours.
As you watched Sukuna eat this person, a sense of satisfaction washed over you. It felt good to get justice in your own way for how this person wronged you. After being told to let it go, try and move and let time heal the wound, you could finally get closure the way you wanted.
“All done?” You asked once the last piece of their body was consumed. Standing up to his full height, Sukuna still looked down at you. The blood on his skin began to sizzle off, evaporating into the air and leaving the pungent smile of iron behind.
“Have I made you happy?” He responded, cupping your face and lightly squishing your cheeks. Smiling proudly, a warm flush washed over your face the longer you and Sukuna looked at each other.
“Yes, very.” Nuzzling into his palm and kissing it, you let out a breathless laugh as Sukuna did the same.
“I’m happy to please you.” Kissing you on the top of the head, Sukuna pulled out the list and crossed out the first name. “Shall we go to the others now?”
