Summary: A ghost who looks a lot like Phantom comes to him in search of protection, and their newest member instantly agrees. He calls her his little sister, and sooner or later, Phantom also might end up with a new brother.

“And that’s why I have... complicated feelings about Danielle being here.” Conner finished. Black Canary sat across from him and was leaned forward a little to listen. It felt good to finally get something like this off his chest.”It’s not anything against Danielle specifically. If it’s the safest place for her like Phantom says, then she can stay as long as she needs. It’s...” He trailed off, not knowing how to put the reason into words.

Luckily, Black Canary knew what he was implying by what he had already told her.”You also want Superman to be there for you like Phantom is for Danielle.” She said. Conner clenched his hand into a fist, but only for a second. She was right. He silently nodded.

“It’s not just that, either. Sometimes I want to be included in their sibling activities. I want to hang out with them. Not Superman. Not as often as before, at least.” He added. He thought himself pretty rude for thinking that. He wasn’t nearly as close to Phantom as Danielle. He wasn’t related to him in hardly any way, and they only recently started hanging out the way friends did.

And yet here he was, wanting to be part of their little group.

Black Canary seemed only a little bit surprised by this.”You want to be their brother?” She asked.

Conner shouldn’t have been taken aback by the suggestion when he began thinking about it. Yes, he wanted to be close with both of them the way they are with each other. Yes, he wanted to protect them both. And yes, there was a small part of Conner that wanted to be able to look to Phantom for help.”I... I think so. If that’s what it would mean.” He said. He’s heard of people calling others they’ve fought many battles with “brothers in arms” and those who are simply close to one another their brothers as well, regardless of wether or not they’ve survived fights together.

Canary smiled a little bit and nodded for him to continue.

“But what am I supposed to do about this? I’ve been mostly ignoring it because they have a bond with each other that I don’t have. I can’t just butt in on it.” Conner said. He wasn’t wrong, and Canary knew that. Then again, she also knew something that would make that feeling disappear.

However, she knew that it wasn’t her place to say it.

Around thirty minutes later, Black Canary now sat across the from Phantom, who was floating above the recliner instead of sitting in it. She had only very recently been able to make a small breakthrough with the ghostly teenager. Since his arrival, he’s been trying to avoid opening up with almost anything she’s tried to talk with him about, but soon after Danielle came, he finally opened up a little. Maybe it was the fact that someone he was more familiar with was there with him. Or perhaps it was because of the very thing he’d mentioned during their last session.

Phantom was alternating between eye contact and staring at the floor.”You mentioned something last time. About Conner.” She said.

“I’m worried about him. The others have their families, but...” He trailed off. He opened and closed his mouth a few times while he struggled to find the right words. This was pretty common during these sessions, and Canary knew to be patient.”Can I be mean for a second? Say something I probably shouldn’t?” He asked.

Canary nodded.”Nothing leaves this room.” She assured him.

Phantom looked her in the eyes.”Superman is a coward.” He said bluntly.

Canary was taken aback by his choice of words, but didn’t let it show and remained silent for him to explain.”He has a clone, practically a literal son, but he refuses to see him almost as anything but non-sentient. Why? Is it because he’s too much of a coward to step up? Why won’t he at least apologize for what he said last visit and admit he was wrong!” He said.

Phantom’s tone and volume had raised up, which sounded like the start of a rant. He rolled his eyes as if disgusted.”He’s acting like a deadbeat with the way he does his best to ignore Conner’s existence! Seriously, the way he treats him almost makes me want to...”

Canary raised an eyebrow slightly. The ghostly teen let out a sigh.”This is gonna sound weird, but it makes me want to have Conner as my little brother so he doesn’t have to feel the way he does. But I can’t treat him like a child and just make him leave the room whenever he comes.” He said.

Canary nodded in agreement.”That’s may be true, but your motive is in the right place. It’s incredibly kind of you to be so worried about your friend that you’d be willing to become something of a new role model or guardian for him. Especially since he’s older than you.” She said.

Phantom lifted a hand and shook it side to side.”Eh, only biologically. Definitely not chronologically.” He said.

Conner and Phantom were talking about their day when Wally had come in to tell them, specifically Conner, that Superman was coming in a few hours. Phantom’s reaction was immediate; zipping out of the room through the wall and vanishing. He came back a second later with an important to ask Conner.

It was a task that’d keep him busy from having to interact with Superman, which he really wanted at the time. All he had to do was watch Danielle and prevent his original from even seeing her.

And so here he was, doing a simple dog puzzle with Danielle in his bedroom.

Conner finished sorting the edge pieces from the rest and picked up a corner piece.”So you’ve never been to the ghost zone before?” He asked.

Danielle shook her head and held an edge piece near the corner piece to see if it would match.”No, Phantom says my core’s too weak to survive going through the portal. He says he’s working on a solution to fix that, though. “Even if it’s just for one trip,” he said.” She explained. The piece was incompatible, so she moved it to the size. She picked up another one. That one fit. The young ghost picked up another edge piece. Conner let out a small hum and helped her search for other pieces.

He had found it infuriating to discover that he was practically half of what Superman was in terms of superpowers, but Danielle didn’t seem too angry about being not as strong as her brother. Maybe it was because he was so nice and encouraging to her.”You’re lucky to have a brother like Phantom.” Conner said. Danielle nodded in agreement and looked up at him.

She knew by now that he was also a clone like her and had so many questions, but stopped when he started to get upset a few weeks ago. He didn’t know if anyone explained the situation to her yet.”Don’t you have a family?” She asked. Conner remained quiet.

Rejection from the very person that’s practically the reason you’re alive hurt a lot. He kept his anger under control, though. At least, he tried. If she had asked this months ago, he might’ve yelled at her or something. Now he was better at controlling himself until he could hit something, but he still wanted so badly to just explode. To hit something and shatter it to a point beyond repair. But he couldn’t. Not here. Conner shook his head.

Danielle frowned a little, but then she suddenly sat up. A big smile appeared on her face.”What if you were my second brother?” She asked.

Conner paused. He’d been pushing the developing want to become her and Phantom’s brother. He strongly believed that it wasn’t right to intrude on their relationship as siblings, especially when he wouldn’t exactly be the best brother with the anger issues he’s working on. He glanced over at Danielle with a very shocked look.

She was smiling at him so hopefully. Conner almost didn’t want to say no. Scratch that, he didn’t want to say no at all. And even if he did, would he be able to resist that pleading look?“That would be nice.” He finally said. Danielle took in what was probably the most dramatic gasp he’d ever heard and practically lunged at him for a hug.

She opened her mouth, but all that came out was a bunch of static and pings. Conner soon smiled and hugged back.”You know I can’t understand you, right?” He asked.

“Oh, right! Sorry. But this is the best!! Now I have two brothers, and one of them is a clone like me!!” She cheered, switching back to English.

Suddenly, Phantom’s head poked up through the floor, startling the both of them.”He’s gone. What’s this I hear about a new brother?” He asked. Danielle let go of Conner as Phantom floated up and smiled.

“Can Conner be our new brother?” She asked. Phantom’s eyes widened a bit. He glanced over at Conner, who shrugged.

Why did he shrug? That was stupid.

Phantom glanced between him and Danielle, then smiled.”Sure, why not?” He said. Danielle threw her arms into the air and cheered. Phantom floated over to Conner and gave him a hug.”Guess you’re stuck with us now.” He said, then laughed.

Conner didn’t really get it. He said that like it was a bad thing.

When Professor Layton and The Miracle Mask was released, everybody was so focused on Randall/Layton and Randall/Henry that they didn't notice the toxic yaoi couple right in front of them.

Narcisse and Frankie. Or Conner and Frankie if you played the US version.

(Now before we get started, I just want to clarify that this is not a healthy couple. Narcisse treats Frankie terribly and they bring out the absolute worst in one another.)

When we first meet Frankie and Narcisse, they are trying to con Layton and company. Narcisse immediately destroys the straight allegations by saying this to Frankie:

From this interaction we find out that Narcisse clearly does not want to be seen in public with Frankie and their relationship is a well guarded secret. At least, by Narcisse. Frankie is not so good at pretending.

Narcisse also says weird homoerotic stuff about his fingers.

So Narcisse treats Frankie like a dog and talks about men losing themselves in his fingers. They must get up to some wild shit in the bedroom.

After they are called out, they immediately start bickering like a married couple.

The second time we meet Frankie and Narcisse, Narcisse still acts like he doesn't know Frankie. Things go the same way with the pair bickering and Frankie storming off.

Later on, we see Narcisse and Frankie. Sharing a hotel room. With only one bed. Interesting.

Frankie calls Narcisse by a nickname, Narc. That's pretty sweet.

And even Narcisse shows a softer side to Frankie when they're alone.

Wait, never mind...

From the way things are heating up, they're either going to make out or break up. It could go either way.

Unfortunately, neither of these things happen because at that moment Layton unexpectedly bursts in and starts looking through their stuff.

Layton is completely oblivious to how impolite and weird it is to just enter a stranger's hotel room and start looking around.

Frankie and Narcisse are both clearly uncomfortable and annoyed at being interrupted.

Frankie: *panicking* Oh God, he knows about the stolen stuff we're hiding!

Narcisse: *panicking* Oh God, he knows I'm sleeping with someone way below my league!

Thank Goodness Layton didn't show up ten minutes later or he would have witnessed Narcisse putting his dexterous digits to good use.

The last time we see Narcisse and Frankie is during the end credits. They are together, so it seems they didn't go their sperate ways after all.

Either Narcisse needs to start appreciating Frankie, or Frankie needs to find a new man. Or woman. He canonically has a crush on Angela so either is fine.

||Spitfire Proposal||

Summary: A peaceful day at the Cave is interrupted by the fight between our beloved couple, Spitfire. Pairing: Wally West aka Kid Flash x Artemis Crock aka Artemis Rating || Genres || Warnings: K. Romance. None. A/N: So this fic was actually my first ever piece of writing when I was just a teenager. And I just wanted to share it with you guys because it has a special place in my heart :) Also this fic features some of my first ever OCs. I never really got around to writing much about them, but maybe in the future I might!

"WHAT DID YOU SAY WEST?!"

The shout rang throughout the cave.

In the mission de-briefing room, Hestia (Druid) blew her bangs off her face as she looked up from where she had Dick (Nightwing) in a headlock. The boy in question frowned wriggling out of her hold, both of them sitting up as they regained their breath after their spar.

Conner (Superboy) rolled his eyes as he leaned against the cave wall, lowering his head as he adjusted his gloves, the small smirk playing on his lips giving away his true emotion, while Sphere beeped in confusion, rolling closer to the cloned teen.

Rory's (Celtic Girl) attention was diverted from the puzzle she was solving, with Red Tornado, as she glanced up curious.

Kaldur (Aqualad) looked up from where he had been reading his file, shaking his head in the direction of the shout.

Megan (Miss Martian) stopped mid sentence, her surprise at the shout showing on her face, ending the conversation with Zatanna and Barbara (Batgirl), who looked equally surprised.

Yue opened her eyes, from where she had been hovering in mid air while she meditated, in the corner of the mission room.

Tim (Robin) sighed in quite frustration, while his girlfriend, Cassie (Wonder Girl), giggled under her breath.

Jamie, Bart, Isolt and Gar (Blue Beetle, Impulse, Celtic Girl and Beast Boy) looked up from where they had been playing cards on the floor.

Karan (Bumblebee) stopped from where she had been slurping a soda, while her boyfriend, Duncan (Guardian), halted from taking a bite from the apple he was holding.

Every eye was trained towards the entrance of the cave and sure enough a clearly pissed off, blonde came stomping into the room, with her ginger boyfriend following in after her.

"Aww come on Artemis think about it?"

He said still walking after her.

"Think about what?"

A curious Garfield piped up.

His sister shot him a warning glance but Artemis didn't care, as she rounded on the green skinned boy.

"Kid Idiot here said that he doesn't like my name and that I should change it!"

For a few seconds silence met her words. Yue tilted her head in confusion.

"But why do you not like Artemis's name Wally?"

Karan perked up.

"Yea! What's wrong with the girls name?" She put a hand on her hip as she frowned at Wally. He grinned as he placed his hands behind his head and shrugged.

"I just don't like it that's all. I mean she doesn't seem to be kind of an Artemis girl but we can always change that to Diana!"

He nodded pleased with himself, then continued.

"But her last name!"

He shuddered. Jamie frowned.

"Whats wrong with her last name?" He asked.

Wally turned to him.

"Oh come on dude! I mean have you ever heard of a name like Crock, in your life before?"

Kaldur sighed.

"Wally!" He muttered in exasperation but he was ignored.

"I mean come on!"

The red head threw his arms up in frustration. Megan and Barbara visibly winced at the glare Artemis was shooting in her boyfriends direction.

"And what is wrong with my last name may I ask?" She said through gritted teeth. The boy frowned walking forward and poking his girlfriend in the forehead.

"It sucks!" He said.

The blonde's hands curled in fists by her sides. Cassie read her body language.

"Here it comes!" She whispered to Tim, who shook his head.

"Idiot!" The Boy Wonder muttered under his breath. Just than Artemis threw a punch aimed straight at Wally's jaw. It would've broken the bone had he not quickly dodged it and grabbed her fist.

"I mean really you should change it."

He continued as she kept throwing punches at him, which he dodged, using his super speed, making her even angrier. She cried out as she kicked out her leg, trying to sweep him off his feet. He jumped up to avoid it. The girl was panting now, but Wally hadn't even broken a sweat. She stopped to catch her breath.

"CHANGE IT TO WHAT?!"

She shouted looking at him, still trying to catch her breath. Suddenly his expression turned serious.

"West!"

For a moment time seemed to stopped. Everybody was too shocked to even move. The only sound heard was that of Artemis's ragged breaths.

Hestia giggled through the psychic link she and Dick shared.

"And it is sinking in!" She said still giggling as Artemis's eyes widened in disbelief. Dick grinned.

"And he's just going to walk away!" He said as Wally began to walk away, slowly, hands in his pocket. Artemis seemed to have lost her voice. Finally she blurted out.

"Did you...?"

Conner shook his head, grinning.

"DID YOU JUST PROPOSE TO ME?!"

Artemis all but screamed to the speedsters retreating back. Isolt squealed under her breath, grabbing Bart's hand on impulse.(A/N: Lol) Duncan chuckled as the blonde walked after her boyfriend née fiance.

"DON'T YOU WALK AWAY FROM ME!" She shouted. Rory giggled as Wally passed her sending a smirk and a wink in the little girls way.

"ARE YOU SMIRKING?!"

She was rewarded with the laughter of her team mates, as the red head kept walking. That only seemed to make her madder.

"COME BACK HERE YOU LITTLE..."

She was cut off by Wally waving a finger in the air.

"Nu Uh! Artemis! Watch your language!"

He stopped, for a minute, turning his face around, grinning.

"There are kids present."

He started walking again. The archer sighed in frustration and anger. She looked down at her boots.

"Alright!" She said loudly. She lowered her head.

I'll- i'll change my name to West!"

She grumbled blushing furiously, a small smile creeping up her face, as her eyes shone with happiness. She looked up.

"Now will you pleas-mumph..."

The rest of her sentence was cut off as the happy speedster raced over to her, cutting her off with a kiss. She rolled her eyes but smiled nonetheless as she wrapped her arms around his neck, closing her eyes as she kissed him back. The onlookers burst into celebration. Megan and Zatanna hugged each other in happiness. Barbara, Duncan, Karan, Jamie, Garfield, Tim and Cassie began hooting and applauding. Isolt squealed as she wrapped her arms around Bart hugging him, he laughed hugging her back, twirling her around a bit. Kaldur sighed in relief as he smiled. Yue laughed, wrapping her arms around her boyfriend's neck from behind. Rory clapped her hands and unconsciously began to float away, but was quickly grabbed at the ankle by Red Tornado. Sphere began to beep and hum in happiness. The couple broke apart from their embrace. Wally looked at his fiance as he slipped a ring onto her ring finger. Artemis bit her lip as she blushed. This time everyone began to clap and holler. Conner gave a wolf-whistle earning an amused look from his friend, who was hugging his new fiancé. Hestia grinned as she let loose a few bursts of pink energy, which immediately burst, making a small firework display. Over the noise of the applause, wolf whistling and fireworks Dicks voice could be heard.

"If anybody needs a copy just let me know, I recorded the whole thing."

"DICK!"

His best friend yelled at him, as everyone laughed. Hestia laughed.

"Once a troll, forever a troll!" she said, winking in the newly engaged couple's way.
