I deleted the bot link from the news headlines. And found a more updated news:
Under South Korean law, martial law can be lifted with a majority vote in the parliament, where the opposition Democratic Party holds a majority. Soon after the declaration, the National Assembly speaker called on his YouTube channel for all lawmakers to gather at the Assembly building. He urged military and law enforcement personnel to “remain calm and hold their positions. All 190 lawmakers who participated in the vote supported the lifting of martial law. Television footage showed soldiers who had been stationed at parliament leaving the site after the vote. Earlier, TV showed police officers blocking the entrance of the Assembly and helmeted soldiers carrying rifles in front of the building. An Associated Press photographer saw at least three helicopters, likely from the military, that landed inside the Assembly grounds, while two or three helicopters circled above the site. The leader of Yoon’s conservative People Power Party, Han Dong-hoon, called the decision to impose martial law “wrong” and vowed to “stop it with the people.” Opposition leader Lee Jae-myung, who narrowly lost to Yoon in the 2022 presidential election, called Yoon’s announcement “illegal and unconstitutional.”

Random AO3 Tips
I have a list of resources on my pinned post, but I don't really have a place for the simple miscellaneous tips and tricks, so here's this!
I didn't know most of these existed for probably far too long, so this post is mostly to spread awareness for new users or those who may not have heard of them before <3
I'll update this post if I learn of any other handy tricks. If you know any, let me know and I'll add it here :D

TUMBLR WON'T EMBED THE LINK D:
Hi, I wrote a Cinderella Boy Valentine's one-shot
It's inspired by the prompt "Character A plans an elaborate Valentine's Day, not knowing that Character B hates Valentine's Day," which me and some other writers on the cb discord all made one-shots for in 1,500(ish) words!
Summary:
Paper Plans; Paper Heart
In which Buddy has a plan and Chase has an opinion, individually!
(ao3 says I have 1,519 words but google doc and another wordcount site I use BOTH said 1,500, trust)
Anyway, uh, Happy Valentine's Day!!

ATTENTION ALL TURBO FANS please check out my master playlist!
I shared this in an ask a few weeks back and it has evolved beyond anything I could have dreamed of so I wanted to shared it in full.
The songs are split into sections for Turbo (Turbotime), Roadblasters Incident, being Gameless in GCS, King Candy, and King Candybug! I spent a long time making sure everything is in perfect chronological order! There is a vibe for every part of his life with lots of hidden HC's and details about his life that aren't fleshed out in the movie.
It's like a fanfiction but 10 hours long and can run in the background for maximum brainrot. I have the full song list on the google doc linked here. If you don't have premium, the desktop lets you go in order without it from my experience. I'm thinking of making the sections into individual POV youtube videos (Since some people don't have premium and 10 hours is a daunting length) so let me know if anyone would want that!
Send Song suggestions too I want this to be the perfect and most complete playlist for all things Turbo.

Chromebook Tech Literacy Masterpost
I've seen a lot of posts about the systemic death of tech literacy in schools with the advent of ChromeOS, and instead of responding to them one by one, I want to create a masterpost to destroy the system. First: FUCK CIPA. The Children's Internet Protection Act is a United States FCC act that standardizes internet safety across the country. Public schools are not required to comply with this act, but they will lose discounts offered for the E-rate program. In short, if you don't want to put up web filters, then you don't get government grants for technology and Internet. Fuck that. Many of these workarounds bank on my personal experiences, so some solutions may not work with your web filters, but they definitely are a step in the right direction. For talking with friends: chat rooms are your friend. Many chat rooms for professional use act just like Discord, and many are just a single text channel. Several I've used include: Google Messages, Rumbletalk, Slack, Element, ClickUp, Pumble, and... in a pinch, Google Docs can give you a shared document that's practically impossible to block. For watching videos: some chat rooms, especially Rumbletalk, allow you to directly embed a YouTube video. This is rare, however, so we found some workarounds. Canva has a video search and embed function that allows you to play YouTube videos straight from the editing page of their slideshows. For anime, a website that I don't think is maintained as well but should still work is AnimeTribes. It is a .ru site but it is perfectly safe, as long as you don't click on ads. I've never seen it redirect you otherwise, and the owner used to be commonly found on the chat page. Another piracy site is 9Anime, which doesn't work on Chromebooks but is an infinitely better source in general. A non-anime video piracy site is Arc018, which is my favorite. It does redirect you decently commonly, but just take care to avoid those redirects and follow piracy suggestions that I will lay out further down. For adblocking: the easiest method is to use uBlock Origin. Though, with all the stuff that Google has been doing, I'm not entirely sure if it works anymore. I gave up on Chrome the second I could get away from it and I suggest you all do the same. For playing games: so. I'm a nerd. I play Pokemon games. SO if you do too you're in luck. The only thing I could come up with was to download GPemu, a ChromeOS based emulator. Unfortunately it's pretty bad, but apparently there's an alternative called EmulatorJS. I never used it myself, but if someone wants to try it and let me know how it goes, that would be appreciated. HOWEVER, none of these work without the games to play them with. I'm going to detail piracy safety later, but for now: Vimm's Lair recently got axed by Nintendo's DMCA, but some ROMs may still be available. Another source (which is admittedly undergoing some major changes) is The Internet Archive. I haven't done a lot of searching on the Archive, and I don't know if it works on Chromebooks, but try it and let me know :).
Circumventing the web filter: While those solutions work for specific things you can do online, these present a general solution, capable of multitasking and providing you much more extended freedom. The first is CroxyProxy, a completely free proxy service that can be added through the Chrome Web Store. If the Web Store is blocked, it can be accessed via the direct website or through specific IP addresses. These change frequently, and I’m absolutely positive the ones that I have access to are blocked or simply go nowhere useful. The other option, assuming you have a home computer connected to the Internet at all times, is Chrome Remote Desktop. It will work as long as both computers are signed in to one shared Google account and both are connected to the Internet.
But Ty... none of this works for me: Oh boy. I guess it's time for my trump card. The pinnacle of my Chromebook workaround career has culminated in this. The ultimate destruction of ChromeOS, all without jailbreaking the computer and getting in a LOT of trouble (don't do that please). My magnum opus came from my blossoming understanding of emulation and, specifically, Windows images. During my senior year, I successfully used a trusted and necessary source (unblockable) to emulate a Windows computer entirely through a single Chrome tab. This source… Microsoft Azure. This cloud computing service allows the creation of a remote desktop that will save data when offline. The biggest hurdle with Azure is that… it costs money. However, when I did it, I got 200 hours of emulation FREE, and I would highly recommend you find the same deal, if it still works. Things to note: you can make multiple accounts, but you will need to also have separate payment cards, as multiple accounts with the same card will flag and not be usable. The frame rate is decently shit, and there is no physical graphics card, so the vast majority of games will not run. I mostly used it for Discord. However, feel free to experiment and make it your own. Use this knowledge wisely, and run free, my friends. Fuck CIPA, and fuck ChromeOS!
Please feel free to reblog or comment with more suggestions, because I would love to add them!

Hey, question for anyone more savvy than me with ao3. I got a comment today that said I'm violating ao3's TOS with one of my fics from a guest comment, which I'm a little wary of, as apparently there are some scams going around telling people something similar and then trying to get them to delete their fics. This commenter just warned me that it's technically not a fanwork because I have linked off-site in each chapter (to a fanwork), and they would hate to see my work taken down because of it. They didn't suggest I delete my fics, but the implication is there that ao3 would take them all down for the violation, which is a bit odd and alarmist because even if that fic is in violation, ao3 would just hide or remove that one fic. I'm not a repeat offender, and it would be a minor violation; there's no reason for ao3 to nuke all my fics, which is what the comment implies. I don't think this is a scam (what would the scam be), it's just kind of odd that it's a guest comment and it's suggesting all my fics are under threat of being removed for a violation that isn't even a straightforward, clear violation as far as I can tell, and they did not cite the bit of the TOS that states it's a non-fanwork because of the links.
Moreover, I asked around first, and everyone agreed that I should be fine posting links as long as they weren't to a Patreon. I cannot find anything in the TOS that indicates this is a violation; ao3 mentions in a couple of places that authors may post links to third party sites, and there's nothing in their content policy or not allowed section that covers this. The only thing I can think of is maybe because it's only links, not links within some text, but I can't actually find anywhere in the TOS that says that isn't allowed. (For context: this is the sequel to my social media fic. It was a huge pain to embed every image in the first one, so for the sequel I tried to find a way to post it that didn't make me want to rip out all my hair. On ao3, I posted a link to Google Docs for each chapter, so that I could just put it together in Google Docs, which was much easier, and readers could read it there. So each chapter on ao3 links to the corresponding chapter in Google Docs.) I was originally just going to post it here on Tumblr because I thought you couldn't post links on ao3, but when talking about it to someone, they said I should be good as long as I wasn't linking to a Patreon, and I couldn't find anywhere in their TOS that made me think it wasn't allowed, so I went ahead with posting.
I'll take it down if it's in violation, I just genuinely cannot find anywhere in the TOS that states it's not a fanwork because I'm linking to it. (Pictures of the What You Can't Do bits of the TOS below, as well as references to posting links, and the comment.)

Hiya!
I love this blog and just wanted to ask- do you know any advice on formatting and tagging for AO3?
Or just general etiquette!!
I'm not new to AO3 (reading or writing) but I haven't interacted with the actual community much and would love to know more :)
oof, I still feel like a newbie posting stuff on ao3, and tagging is something i've always struggled with. and actually formatting is also on ongoing issue 😅 so with that in mind, here's what i try to consider:
TAGGING
relationships -> tagging the main is obvious, but i'm sometimes torn about tagging side relationships that feature in the fic, especially since it's annoying to be searching for that pairing and get a bunch of results where they're not the main focus; unless the other pairing is a prominent feature, i leave it out of the relationship tags and at most add it to the additional tags
characters -> i remember updating the character tags on my early fics every time another character popped up in the story, but now i'm of the same mind as the side pairing issue; unless the character is prominently featured, i leave them out of the tags
content warning/advertising -> if i know the fic features an element that some people might wish to avoid, i always tag it and also always fret that i've forgotten to tag something in that regard. when it's more about advertising what's in the fic, especially sexual content, i sometimes feel silly listing every flavor of physical encounter unless the fic is pwp/smut (in which case i gleefully list all the depravity); i sometimes worry that over-emphasizing the sexual content in the tags is misleading? like of this 100k fic, if 15k is spent fucking, how do i get the tags to reflect that while also tag cw appropriately? is there an established tag for that?
sometimes i see fics with TONS of tags, like an exhausting amount, and sometimes i see fics with very minimal tags... sometimes frustratingly few. i also know some writers add chapter-specific warnings in the author's notes. in the end, so long as you're making it possible for people to find or avoid your fic as needed, then you're good. Here are some good posts that dive into it more!
(i remember when people on tumblr would scold writers for monologuing in the tags on ao3 like we do on here, claiming it was a strain on the system, but i believe that's been debunked?)
FORMATTING
i've noticed some MEGA annoying quirks with copy & pasting over from Google Docs and Word, and I know there are some tricks to get around them, but i tend to just slog through the Rich Text window fixing everything manually 🙃 OKAY I FOUND SOLUTIONS LINKED BELOW.
spacing problem #1 -> pet peeve of mine, but i dislike it when the paragraphs have massive spaces between them (ditto for indented paragraphs). idk why, but it's tiring for my eyes to constantly leap the chasm between paragraphs. so whenever i copy and paste from Word, which for some reason ALWAYS appears with double spacing between line breaks, i go in and manually fix it. SOLUTION
spacing problem #2 -> when copying over from Google Doc, whenever there's a punctuation mark following an italicized word, a random space appears between them. and yep, i have to go in and fix every one because typos make me twitch. (this might not be an issue for everyone; i overuse italics and dashes like it's my job) SOLUTION
spacing problem #3 -> again probably a me issue, but i tend to include song lyrics a lot, and it's always a headache to format because when pasting from the doc, ao3 embeds these spaces between the lines that i can't remove by backspacing. only fix i've found is to copy and paste lyrics directly from a website, and then it formats fine. random and annoying and weird. (no solution 😔)
since this section has just been me whining about finding SOLUTIONS for formatting issues, i'll offer one tip that's more about general editing: i try to proofread best i can in Word/GDocs, but it's always easier to spot errors when i'm reading the draft on my phone. the typos always jump out at me from a phone screen. it's now my favorite way to edit!
every writer has their own preferences on formatting, and every reader has their own level of tolerance for formatting quirks. in the end, so long as the formatting doesn't interfere with the reading experience, you're all good.
#god and don't even get me started on summaries#i'm so bad at writing summaries#and coming up with titles#just the worst#those tend to plague me more than tagging#but tagging can also be tricky#like i want to crowdsource it or have an outside perspective just list the stuff in need of tags for me#fandom culture#ao3 etiquette#ao3 tagging#ao3 formatting#writer things

Hey all, small update on the r/InfinityTrain archive efforts here.
As it turns out, the mods on the subreddit have opened it back up to the public and I am no longer the only person allowed to view it, so you can go and check it out now.
That being said, with tomorrow being the start of the API changes, it’d still be in your best interests to archive what you can and want to while Reddit still works. In the meantime, since it’s still the last day of Pride month at the time of starting this draft and because I’ve managed to do a considerable amount of work without yet losing steam, I’m happy to share a peek at the current progress on my subreddit archive:

As you can see, I’m still going to finish my archiving of what I can, as who knows what may happen to the original information sources.
Especially because Twitter now requires you to have an account to do anything - including merely browsing and seeing posts - and who knows whether embed support on other sites will be going away too.
In other words, if you want to still have a guaranteed way to check info from the Twitter accounts of the crew but don’t want to make an account/in case Twitter gets royally screwed up, it is incredibly important to document any and all concept art, post threads, and links shared by the Infinity Train crew.
In fact, I have set up a Google drive folder to consolidate efforts into one place for all who wants to help with this task below:
Inside, I have set up two folders: posts by the crew, and noteworthy fan art/analysis by fans that the crew have taken particular note of. And to help with organizing all the links and information together, I have set up the simplified google sheet below:

For the process of organizing, here’s a general outline of how archiving can be done:
Find the Twitter post you want to archive, whether it’s in a Discord server, on the Wayback Machine website (since Owen mass deleted his tweets often),
Copy the link to the Google sheet with - if you can - the month and year the post was created
Take a picture of the full post/decent chunks of a Twitter thread
If possible, change the file name of the picture to a title or brief description outlining the content within the post
Upload the photo to the respective subfolder and type the file name in the respective Google Sheet
Now, I have a few additional docs and subfolders than these key ones, but I hope that the drive is overall easy to navigate and understand, and here’s to saving Infinity Train fandom history for all to see and know that we were here!

Academic Validation 📓🎓

I felt like this is an important topic to talk abt since school is here or school will start for some people .. wanna learn how to achieve academic validation? Then this blog is for uu !! 📓
What is academic validation? academic validation is when a student / scholar wants validation for their studies , grades , and want to achieve great things by studying while getting validation from people , for example a student might try really hard on a test and they get a good grade on it ; then their teacher congratulated them on it and now they’re over the moon (really excited / happy) , that is academic validation . 🎀
001 ; How To Be Extremely Organized
౨ৎ I know a lot of people might struggle to be organized , I use to struggle with this but here are some tips to help you stay much more organized than before :
・Keep a folder with a category and place similar things in it
。°˖ ʚɞ ꒦꒷⩩
⌞ ⌝ this is one of the most popular and perfect way to stay organized , for example if you had a science folder for science , you can place all the things similar to science in this folder so you don’t forget where you put something science related in .
・Use the app notion
。°˖ ʚɞ ꒦꒷⩩
⌞ ⌝ Notion is a great app to use to stay organized , although this is an option ; notion allows you to track your to do’s , notion has categories to place your assignments in , notion can even embed links kinda like google docs and Spotify , so this is a PERFECT app for school and to keep track of what you’re doing . 🎀
・Taking notes
。°˖ ʚɞ ꒦꒷⩩
⌞ ⌝ Taking notes can help you keep track with a bunch of things , it is one of my favorite ways to stay organized for school and it’s really fun to when you decorate it 🎀 , when you take notes you can remember things without really having to stress about remembering it .

002 ; Make Sure you study alot
౨ৎ We all know studying can be boring and we can face lots of distractions while studying , so I have some tips of how to be less distracted and study for a long time without stopping :
・Turn on dnd
。°˖ ʚɞ ꒦꒷⩩
⌞ ⌝ A lot of people do this but for the people who don’t turning on dnd can remove a lot of unimportant notifications , so while you’re studying you’re not distracted by who is texting you , who is calling you , etc ..
・Watch those study with me videos
。°˖ ʚɞ ꒦꒷⩩
⌞ ⌝ They’re a bunch of these on YouTube , they are the ones with soft Lofi music or the ones without music at all ; some people feel like they need someone to study with so this might help you while you’re studying ! 🎀
・Do NOT procrastinate
。°˖ ʚɞ ꒦꒷⩩
⌞ ⌝ Procrastination gets to the best of us , but at the end of the day it’s not worth it , make sure you set to do’s or do the assignment at the moment don’t say “oh I’ll do it another day” or “oh I’ll do it later” when you ,don’t have anything to do important at that moment , most of the time we forget so make sure you do it when you can and turn it in ASAP !!

003 ; Dress well / simple
౨ৎ I will be explaining you how to dress good / simple with uniform and without uniform :
・Wear jewelry and design your shoe lace
。°˖ ʚɞ ꒦꒷⩩
⌞ ⌝ Jewelry can always compliment the most basic outfits , gold can make the outfit pop out and look bold , while silver will blend in with the colors to give it an aesthetic look this might complete the outfit if you think it is missing something . 🎀
⌞ ⌝ Bracelets express your personality , it makes you seem more out going and makes your outfit pop more , I love bracelets so much and they’re usually cheap and easier to make . 🎀
⌞ ⌝ You can design your shoe lace into different shapes or things , tutorials like this are on YouTube and it makes you look unique in a good way , many people are most likely to notice it to . 🎀
・Look neat / clean
。°˖ ʚɞ ꒦꒷⩩
⌞ ⌝ You can always make your outfit look more neat / clean by ironing your outfit this makes your outfit look a bit brand new which gives it a clean aesthetic look
⌞ ⌝ Make sure all stains are off and don’t wear any dirty clothes and spray perfume on them , no stains can also make the outfit / you look clean and give it a simple aesthetic
⌞ ⌝ Go for a nice detergent smell , this can make all your clothes smell the way you want it to , it makes you look neat and clean when your clothes smell good . 🎀

That’s all ! Ty for reading 🎀
Credits goes to the owners , the pictures are not mine I found them on Pinterest 🎀

Here it is, the AU which I actually put a lot of work into. Once Upon a Time, my Underswap Take. In case you are wondering why it is called Once Upon a Time, I simply switched around the two story related tracks in Undertale, those being UNDERTALE and Once Upon a Time.
As I have explained in my first post, this Underswap take experiences with the concept of swapping species. Anyhow, I do have an entire Google DOC dedicated to this AU, but right now it is a bit outdated, therefore I shall upload it here at a later date.
Anyhow, besides the sprite work, I shall also share two tracks done by Vanessa via. embeds:
