~some angsty father/son Georgia and Texas that I came up with~

Around 10pm:

Georgia walked all throughout the statehouse, seemingly looking for something. He wasn’t looking for something, he was looking for someone. And that certain someone was Texas. Texas had been acting kinda strange and stand-offish all day. Like at the meeting, he was oddly quiet and didn’t get into a fight with California or Oklahoma, and only spoke if he was directly asked something by Gov. Even then, it was a very quick and subtle answer, such as a head nod/shake or a quiet "Yea/Nope".

He didn’t even go bother Alaska ONCE that day. And when Kentucky and Tennessee asked if he wanted to go to the bar with him, he said that he didn’t want to (politely ofc), which he almost never said no to. Texas had been overall pretty quiet that day and something felt incredibly off about him. So that’s why Georgia was gonna go find his son friend and figure out what was wrong.

He walked into the South’s lounge area (with the kitchen, living room, dining room, ect….) and saw Texas leaning on the kitchen island whilst scrolling through his phone.

"Hey Tex." Georgia greeted, noting the lil’ jump that the Lone Star State gave, and how he wasn’t wearing his usual flannel, but instead a black hoodie.

"Oh- uh- Hey Georgia….” Texas greeted back with a small smile before turning back to his phone.

"Hey I wanted to talk to you about somethin’, if that’s alright with ya." Said the older.

Texas set down his phone on the island and turned to the shorter male with a smile. "Sure. What’s up?"

Georgia sighed a bit. "Is everythin’ alright?"

The taller gave him a confused expression, but Georgia could see a hint of nervousness in his son’s friend’s eyes.

"You’ve been acting strange and quiet all day." The older said.

"Oh- Everythin’s alright, ya don’t hafta worry Geo." Texas said with smile. Georgia noticed how the taller had started fidgeting with hands.

"Are ya sure?" questioned the Peach State with a bit of a judgmental expression on his face.

"Y-yup." Texas said, his eyes flicking back and forth a bit.

"Tex, bud, ya know ya can tell me anythin’ right?" Asked the older.

"Mhm! E-everythin’s alright. Now um- I just r-remembered that I think I left the shed open, so I better go check. G’night Geo!" Texas said and started making a beeline for the stairs that lead to the main floor. He didn’t make it far though before Georgia grabbed his wrist and a wave of pain went through his arm and he cried out slightly.

"Texas wai-" Georgia started, but cut himself off when he heard the cry escape Texas. His eyes widened slightly and he gasped a bit and let go of Texas’s wrist. "Oh my god- I’m so sorry- a-are ya hurt?"

"I-it’s fine, a-a-and no I’m not hurt." said the Lone Star State with a nervous glint in his eyes.

"Then what was tha-" Georgia started ask before once again, cutting himself off. Now he possibly understood what had hurt the taller state. So he then said,"Texas show me your wrists.", knowing that if his suspicions were correct, then Texas would not comply.

"No. I told you I’m fine." Said the younger with a stubborn expression on his face. Yup. That confirmed his suspicions.

In a quick motion, Georgia managed to grab the taller’s hand and roll up his hoodie sleeve, revealing several small cuts littered all over the younger’s forearm. Some looked old, as in they had already somewhat stopped bleeding and some looked new enough that they were still bleeding. The older state’s heart broke at the sight. He looked up at his son’s friend’s face and his heart broke a little more at the amount of sadness and guilt that was in Texas’s eyes, a type of look that he had not seen on the Lone Star State’s face since he was a little girl that had run away from the land of Mexico that she called home.

"I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry…." He heard Texas mumbling under his breath. He quickly pulled the taller into a tight hug. Georgia could feel the tension in Texas’s body slowly leak away. Did he care that there was now tears and blood on his shirt? No. All that mattered at the moment was the fact that his son friend was crying and had hurt himself. All that mattered was comforting the younger.

Georgia walked Texas over to the couch and sat him down. "Aight Tex, please stay here for a minute while I go grab the first aid kit." He waited till Texas gave a small nod and then went to go grab the first aid kit.

Texas looked down at the floor sadly. ‘Godd*mit why couldn’t I just stop myself….Now I’m wasting Papa’s Georgia’s time all because of my stupid f*ckin’ emotions….God I’m so weak and useless why the he// does this d*mn country even want me here….’ He got so lost in his thoughts that he didn’t notice Georgia came back until he heard the older snap his fingers in front of his face. He came to with a slight jump and looked at Georgia who had a pitiful- no- worried look on his face.

"Can I have your hand, bud?" asked the Peach State, smiling slightly when Texas complied. It wasn’t long before both of Texas’s wrists were bandaged. The two sat in silence for a bit before Georgia spoke up. "So do ya wanna talk about it? It’s perfectly fine if not, I ain’t gonna make ya."

The older state waited till Texas shook his head no to ask, "Can I hug you?", and smiled when when the younger nodded his head slightly. He grabbed the younger gently and pulled him into a laying position and wrapped his arm around his torso. He started gently running a hand through Texas’s hair, grinning when the younger leaned into his hand with a content sigh. At this point, Texas was pretty much asleep. Georgia leaned down and planted a fatherly kiss on top of Texas’s hair and mumbled, "G’night kiddo…." before turning a bit so he could properly hold the taller.

Right before he fell asleep, he could have sworn he heard a near-silent, "Buenas noches, Papá…."

He fell in love with her because of her personality, the fierceness of her character, the sincerity of her actions, and the delicacy of her words, he doesn't care what lies beneath the makeup she wears. He respects the time he has to wait to see it, and if he never gets to appreciate her features in clean, he won't mind. The Uchiha is happy with the person he has next to him, and when he finally sees her, he can't help but kiss her whole face, filling her with love and thanking her for the privilege he was granted.

Izuna

- SLAAAY, again. Izuna himself is versed in the visual arts, knows every secret of makeup and its techniques, and having (Y/N) follow those mandates provides him with the opportunity to learn about a different culture, and to meet another clan's beliefs. He wants to hear about the process, how she gets such impeccable results, and when she finally reveals her washed face in front of him, Izuna will cry with emotion, yes, CRY.

Itachi

- Patience personified, Itachi doesn't even count on the possibility of ever seeing her without her trademark makeup. Something similar to Madara, this Uchiha prioritizes the beauty of her personality, the quality of her person, he doesn't care about her physique and has no objections about never seeing her with her face washed. He understands the culture of her clan, and would never demand for her to disrespect her own customs, which is why he is genuinely surprised on seeing her with nothing on her face. He hugs her tightly, and stares at her for a good few minutes before reacting.

Sasuke

- He's a little annoyed at not being able to see her with nothing on her face, and believes that if she chose him as her boyfriend, he would have to have special permissions in order to appreciate her as he wishes. He will question it a lot, and will be invited on countless occasions to withdraw if he can't wait for the right moment. Incredibly, Sasuke will pull patience from where he has none to wait, and upon finally seeing the revelation, he will smile self-sufficiently, as if he already knew what was underneath the makeup.

As for the Queen, she knew what her fate was going to be. She hoped by turning a blind eye to her husband actions would favor her but in the end, she knew she should’ve left when she had the chance.
