Finney: talking about his time as King Steve I did some stuff that I'm not proud off. Some I think I'll never forgive myself for.

Vance: Pinball Vance Hopper who once broke a guys jaw just for looking at him funny Eh you'll be fine.

Like none of his friends hold his King Steve days against him.

They all recognise he's changed and become a better person. He's made amends and they all love him dearly.

Finney still feels bad about it at times.

And Vance is just like I'm here for you but I physically cannot relate.

Steve is Finney - Snippet One

Robin’s mom insisted on showing off her daughter’s baby pictures. Steve found it funny. At least, until he saw that face. Why was He in his best friend’s photo album?

Everything in him froze and it must have shown on his face. Robin poked his arm, making him jolt and look at her. She looked confused and concerned, and so did her mother. Robin spoke, “Are you alright, dingus?”

Steve swallowed before pointing at Him, “Who’s that?”

“My dad, why?”

Steve's vision blurred and his breathing quickened. He scrambled up and backed up, only to trip over the little table next to his seat. He curled into the corner, hands in his hair and heart racing in his chest.

“Steve!” Robin rushed over and went to touch him. Her mom stopped her though. She kneeled beside him.

“Steve, I need you to match my breathing. Can you do that?” No response. “Can you do that, honey?”

He gave a jerky nod and she guided him, breathing in and out in slow, deep breaths. It took a bit, but once he settled, Robin inched closer.

“Are you okay?”

Steve huffed out a final breath, “Yeah.”

She bit her lip, “What was that?”

He looked at her for a while before he finally gained the courage to speak, “Rob, I think you dad was The Grabber.”

Is it getting bad because I can't write dialog and have little to no stories on ao3 with this concept? Yes! Will I fix the issue? Also no!

Here we go!!

Why More Steve Harrington is Finney Blake Stories Should Exist:

1. As is, Finney Blake and his sister have a power that basically makes them oracles or profits. Imagen him dressed to the nines in an outfit that embodies that, you're welcome baby girl Steve Harrington believers.

2. His horrible experience with the Grabber would provide a solid outline for the harsh words he uses in season one while also making his return to goodness one that makes sense. He was wildly abused in his hometown, so he aimed for the top when he was given a chance to start over without ever actually laying his hands on someone. When he realizes he's become what he hated most, he works to redeem himself.

3. Ghost children. Ghost children follow him around, why do you think he handles the party so well?

4. There are several deaths in Stranger Things that never get brought up again, so I will. His home is now a safe haven for all those lost souls. I want him to make amends with Barb, I want him to hold Max telling her everything Billy saying he wished he told her with such confidence that she finally believes him. I want that.

5. I want him to be able to channel ghost energy. That's it. Imagen him summoning spirits of past experiments to help hold the Mind Flayer back when it went to attack Billy.

6. His arm is mint. Okay, losing a fight to Billy? Understandable. Loosing a fight to Jonathan? I love my him, but no. ESPECIALLY when Steve can bat a fucking demadog easily. This man was holding back because the last time he truly fought, he killed a man.

7. There are so many ways he could have ended up in Hawkins.

Gwen was murdered by someone who suspected her of working with the Grabber because of her inside knowing to the murders. The parents of their mother then offers their home in Hawkins as long as the dad works for their company, wanting to do right by his child and wanting a fresh start, he says yes. The name gets changed to fit their higher image and Steve is left in the mansion alone, a bargaining chip for his grandparents to show that they are in fact caring for the family of the lost daughter.

His aunt and uncle take him in, but not Gwen for sexist reasons, after their home is deemed unfit when questioning him about the Grabber.

His dad hits well with the life insurance and moves them to start away from the horrors that happened.

8. I want Hopper to be related to Vance Hopper, like cousins or something. That's it.

9. Imagen channeling ghost strength? Or even better him being able to communicate with El in that void because of his abilities.

10. If you want a song fic, fucking Bloody Mary is right there.

11. I want the angst of people around him reminding him of all the people he's lost. It would make his need to be needed even stronger. Moreover, his sense of devotion and desire to protect would be through the roof.

12. I really like the idea.

Black Phone/Stranger Things Crossover Idea

(or another one at least)

Gwen and Steve Harrington must team up with their friends when Finney is kidnapped by a serial killer.

However, their investigation gets complicated when Robin Buckleys estranged father; Albert Shaw, becomes a suspect.

For this AU…

No Hawkins Lab or Upside Down.

Steve is Finney and Gwen’s older brother (He takes care of them more than their parents do)

Robin Buckley is related to The Grabber, and their relationship is… complicated, to say the least.

Vance is Hoppers son and Els’ brother. Still debating on his fate here.

Dustin and Griffin are half-brothers.

Gwen and Finney are friends with The Party

I’ve been trying to find the fic you mention with your tbp fan art but I can’t! What’s it called? I’d love to read it

It's "For Whom The Bell Tolls (Time Marches On)" by Alduade (BooperDooper3000) on AO3! It's the first instalment of his series "Your Time Burns Faster (Obey Your Master)" the first part is complete with 19 chapters as well :> the second part is still being written!

It's a crossover fic between TBP and Stranger Things (also set in the Stephen King universe with lil references scattered within the fic) where Finney and Steve are the same person (it's a time travel fix-it too)

The new Hopper

I have yet to talk about Finney which is wild because despite the name, this is more than a Vance Hopper fic.

So here we go.

So in this fic Finney Blake and Steve Harrington are the same person.

Finney still kills the Grabber in this.

He was healing with the other basement boys, yes all lived in this fic, and Gwenny.

And was starting to truly feel like things would be okay.

... When his dad lost custody over him and Gwen.

Suzie's parents were able to take Gwen but try as they might they were unable to take Finney too.

His aunt and uncle, John and Diane Harrington got custody over him.

They didn't want Gwen because two children was too much work.

And after hearing the stuff about her dreams deemed her a freak.

Finney was taken from Denver, from his sister and his best friends kicking and screaming.

His aunt and uncle made it clear that Finney Elias Blake would need to cease to exist.

Renaming him Steve John Harrington.

And having little contact with his real family and still dealing with everything alone.... Finney, now Steve did change.

Steve Harrington was everything Finney Blake wasn't.

He was strong.

He was brave.

He could talk to and get the girl.

He was perfect.

Finney was a victim.

Finney was a broken kid from an even more broken home.

Finney flinched when the phone rang and hid letters under his bed he'd send out and receive in secret.

He talked about his friends, the little he saw of his aunt and uncle... He never talked about himself.

Because who was he even anymore.

But Finney's life got a lot more complicated when a demogorgon burst through the Byers living room.

And than he met Dustin and the kids.

Steve Harrington stopped being perfection.

He realised just how much of a bully he'd become.

How lost he'd become in this new life.

Of all the hurt and pain he'd taken in and taken out on others who didn't deserve it.

And he knew he had to change.

Because whether Finney had wanted it or not, Finney was Steve.

And at the end of the day Steve Harrington was just as broken as Finney Blake.

So who cared how he acted.

He grew to care for these kids, these dumbass, nerdy, always trying to get themselves killed kids.

Who reminded him so much of the others... Of himself that it hurt.

He killed monsters.

He became the babysitter of the apocalypse.

He used himself as a sheild to save others.

And thought with a bittersweet smile maybe Finney and Steve weren't that different at all.

Not that he would tell anyone.... Not until Robin.

Who heard him cry out during Russian torture his other name, heard him cry out the names of boys and a girl she'd never heard of.

And simply hugged him in her arms on the floor of that bathroom.

And asked him which name he preferred she used.

To his suprise it was Steve.

He was her Stevie Bee, her friend and fellow munchkin. Her platonic with a capital P soul mate.

And not just for her.

He was Dustin's big brother, he was Jonathan's fellow gossiper.

He was the resident loveable asshole with a nail bat.

Finney had been Steve Harrington a lot longer than he'd been Finney Blake.

And it didn't scare him as much as he thought it would.

Part of him was scared Finney was gone forever.

And than Robin told him that was ridiculous.

And be believed her.

So one day he did something he never did.

He called Denver, he called back home.

The phone rang in Robin Arellano's living room where the rest of the boys were hanging out.

And as easy as that, Finney Blake returned.

Like he never left, and maybe he never did.

He cried hearing their voices again.

Sobbed when they got Gwen over and he heard her voice again.

He sobbed and apologised for leaving.

Like he had any choice in the matter, and while he always sent letters they had lost their life.

Until now.

He also handed Robin the phone to get to know his old friends and sister.

He wasn't suprised when Robin fit in with their group like she'd always been a part of it.

She was as much of his soul mate as they were.

He started messing with bottle rockets.

He watched the sequel to Texas Chainsaw Massacre and listened to both Robin's argue over it.

He kept the hair routine but let his hair stay fluffy and soft.

He never intended to tell the others, because... How do you even go about doing that.

He was afraid they'd hate him.

Question how he'd become the same person as the bullies that used to haunt him.

That would spit on Robin and call him a freak.

Think of him as a liar.

A fake.

Maybe they'd look past all the monster he'd slayed and see the original blood stains on his hands.

And look in disgust.

Robin was here to sooth his fears, she disagreed but supported him either way.

Things might've stayed that way.

Until Gale Hopper sent him a letter.

She was leaving for a family emergency, and didn't want to leave Vance alone.

The fact they had a restraining order against Vance shouldn't have been as funny as it was.

And much as Gale knew the others boys family would take him in, she knew they didn't have the room.

And had asked her brother to let him stay.

Her brother being Cheif Hopper didn't even phase Finney as much as knowing Vance was coming over.

Somehow any fear he had about his two identities coming to life vanished.

Because Vance was coming.

He had run into Family Video, picked Robin up and spun her in the air.

"Vance is coming!"

And she smiled just as bright.

Vance was coming, and nothing else mattered. One of his boys was coming to see him.

It was bizarre how the only true fear Finney had was that Vance wouldn't recognise him.

He seriously considered stealing Jonathan's camera to snap a photo and send it over.

All of that melted away when Vance looked at him.

Same curly blonde hair, a different denim jacket but one that fit him all the same.

And after a second of confusion recognised him.

And smiled.

And sure he would have to explain himself but he was safe.

Because Vance was here. Because Robin was here.

Because even if he was terrified he knew deep down his friends.

All of them would accept him.

Saw Robin and Vance call him his respective names and both fit.

Dustin muddling it together and El calling them secret name buddies.

Saw the smile on Vance's face didn't waver hearing his other name.

And so much would need to be said but for now he was safe.

Finney was safe.

Steve was safe.

And that's all that mattered.

The Black Phone x Stranger Things?

For the love of god I swear I’m THIS 👌 close to writing a crossover fic between The Black Phone and Stranger Things. Like imagine:

The whole plot in the movie still happened. Finney and Gwen are traumatized af cause obvious reasons and their dad thought it’ll be a good idea for a fresh start, so they move to the next town over which happens to be Hawkins

And yk they’re trying to move on, trying to get past what happened to them but Finney can’t easily do that. He keeps thinking about all those boys who never stood a chance, those boys who, in death, helped him survive and especially Robin

So like in ST universe it’s around the start of season 2 or before it but yk Will is back and everything

And also the start of the kidnapping in TBP went on around the same time when Eleven opened the gate

Ok so what most people don’t know about Will is that he wasn’t alone in the upside down. He was for the first few days but then this kid appeared

He looked scared, traumatized and believed he died and somehow went to hell. But to Will, it’s hope and vague happiness because he’s not alone anymore and if someone also managed to get into this strange world then they can both find a way out

Will learned that the boy’s name was Griffin. They’d been in the upside down together for about a month now before another boy came. Then another, then another, then another

He learned all their names to be Billy, Bruce, Vance, and Robin and Will also learned that they all died in the exact same place and murdered by the exact same person. The days blurred together and the boys are having a hard time distinguishing reality from illusion and what’s worse is that their memory seems to be getting fuzzier

One day they found the replica of the basement in the upside down. There they saw the black phone. Feeling compelled Bruce grabbed the phone. They don’t know how it happened but Finney picked up the phone

They learned that Finney got kidnapped and one by one the boys gave Finney all he needed to survive. Then it’s over. The Grabber was dead and the boys are still in the upside down

At this point Will is starting to think that he died in his world too but just couldn’t remember it. Despite the different range of personalities between the 6 of them, the group worked out and stayed together. Little did they know that they only way they survived was cause of Will’s incessant humming of his favorite song much to Vance’s annoyance

And when Will got out, Griffin continued that habit on because they’re all not sure whether Will made it or not and at least this way they can pretend he’s still there with them

So Will came back and he can’t stop thinking about those boys. He wants, needs, to rescue them too but everyone is acting sensitive and overprotective around him so he can’t get the chance to tell them about the boys. Instead he does his own research. He never got their last names but it seemed that their case was popular enough that he didn’t have too much of a hard time learning about them

And that’s when he learned about the new kid Finney. The same Finney who the boys talked about

So Will approached him and Finney listened, even better he believed him especially since Will gave him hope of seeing Robin and the others again

Will also told Finney about El and how her powers helped bring him back, in turn, Finney told him about his sister Gwen who’s dreams helped find him and The Grabber’s victims

In this AU Finney (ability to communicate with spirits/ghosts etc.) and Gwen (prophetic dreams) powers came from their mom so they’re all born with it kind of like Vecna

So through them, they were able to see the boys in the upside down but they find that they have little time because demogorgans are hunting them down

So through the power of friendship and the mother gate and supernatural abilities of Finney and Gwen, the boys were able to be brought back to their bodies in a perfect state (maybe a little traumatized)

Gwen and El would be such great friends! Imagine them learning more about their powers together and bonding over that

Will and Finney are besties and together they pine and maul over their unrequited love for their best friends

Steve adopts 6 more kids

Vance and Billy H. clash bcs of how similar they are

Billy getting annoyed that there’s another Billy and everyone is calling him Hargrove instead

Erica and Gwen loves shitting on their brothers (but in a lovingly way)

Griffin and Billy are secretly menaces to society

Vance secretly admires Nancy and wants her to teach him how to use a gun. No one lets him

TBP boys often get nightmares about what the grabber did to them especially Griffin and Vance

I’m still not sure if I want a character redemption for Billy H. and have him be a tsundere overprotective bro to Max and have an enemies to begrudgingly friends to lovers trope with Steve….hmmm maybe

Aaaaand there’s the writers block. That’s all I got

I love that finney Blake is Steve AU just because it could really work out so well nothing is known about Steve’s past (also just taking off the years too it don’t count!!) and he could have been taken from his family after that ordeal been adopted by the rich Harringtons (name change!!)

Grew into the Steve we know and love even though he was bullied he allowed himself to feel this weird sort of freedom in a town where no one knew about the tragedy that was his past self. Missing Robin (oh his Robin his person) so very dearly and doing what he can to escape his grief. Befriending people he previously would of never just because his adoptive parents asked him too and when he glimpses of the world under them (god there are monsters)

Steve (Finney,,, please he doesn’t want to lose himself in this false identity given to him) fighting monsters losing fights just like he used to and is back at where he once was bloody at the hands of those viewing him as less.

Going through the motions and never once hearing that phone ring believing in his mind that That voice would never speak to him. Hearing the walkie crackle with the voices of those he lost (he’s here he’s here he’s here)

Doing as that voice tells him to always as he tells him too (befriending another Robin in his life that he will never view like that but still the person closest to him)

Honestly I started typing this out cause I saw a FaceTune of Steve’s face to imagine him where he was younger and the thought that came across was literally that STEVE LOOKS LIKE FCKIN FINNEY !!
