We are a family of ten trying to survive in northern Gaza and this is my little sister Soso, who is only four years old. Her mental health has declined severely due to our situation to the point where she can’t be separated from my mother even for a few minutes. She cries hysterically anytime she hears gunfire or shelling, which she never did before. She cries at night from hunger and she cries during the day to go outside (we don’t let her because it’s too dangerous). She barely plays anymore and her spine is visible under her skin. She keeps asking for white bread and a melon, both things we can’t give her.

Prices just keep going up and all we can afford is one meal a day that we finish eating still being hungry. Our landlord is harassing us trying to increase our rent again. I recently calculated how much Chuffed took from me as commissions and it has reached $2,000 since I’ve started this campaign. It shocked and enraged me but there’s nothing I can do. That’s not even taking into account the commission from PayPal and the bank. So I know it seems like I’ve already gotten a lot of money, but I promise I haven’t. I wish I had received enough so I could stop asking. We still worry every day about whether we’re going to keep our room or find something to eat.

Please help, I swear I’ll be thankful for anything. If you can’t afford to donate, then please at least share and I won’t ask more of you. Please.

Today is World Hunger Day, which falls on May 28th of each year. This day was launched in 2011 by The Hunger Project to raise awareness about the global hunger crisis and encourage sustainable efforts to eradicate hunger.

This day is an opportunity to participate in hunger-fighting efforts, whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading awareness through social media. It also highlights the importance of improving maternal nutrition as a fundamental step to breaking the cycle of malnutrition that has been passed down through generations.

This is a very important day for Gaza, where hunger and severe malnutrition are omnipresent among its children. My children are among those who see a full stomach as an unattainable dream, experiencing nothing but fear, hunger, and deprivation of their most basic rights. They need your support to live a life like your children's, a life every child deserves. Don't say you can't do anything, but do what you can do here. Interact and donate to my children who have suffered from malnutrition due to the hunger that has not left them since the beginning of the war because of the high prices. American Company for Aid Distribution in Gaza were surprised that the number arriving was hundreds of times greater than expected, and they lost control of the distribution.

"A food parcel is not enough to feed two people for a week."

After the failure of the aid distribution system and the escape of the US security team, aid should be distributed through the United Nations and international organizations, rather than forcing Palestinian citizens, including the sick and women, to travel dozens of kilometers to obtain food. It would be better if aid reached those who deserve it, rather than for people to be exhausted and humiliated just to make ends meet.

What happened today shows that security cannot be imposed on the hungry, and control does not succeed in an environment that has lost all trust and hope. Our children's bodies can no longer bear more hunger. What is our fault in your damned war that we should become hungry, you damned ones⁉️

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

My sister Soso used to be so lively, even during the genocide, but now she’s a shell of her former self because of the trauma and the famine. I try my best to provide for her and our family of ten, but it’s hard because everything is so expensive. A 25kg sack of flour costs $1,000 in my area. Fruits and vegetables are a distant dream. As for meat, we’ve forgotten the taste of it. We get one meagre meal a day when we’re lucky.

Yesterday I spent all day walking around to try to find a new apartment, because our current landlord is trying to price us out, but we can’t afford anything. The situation seems hopeless. The walls around us and the roof above our heads are a weak protection, but at least it’s something, at least we’re not sleeping in the street where the drones and the tanks could see us at all times. If we’re kicked out, we will lose all of our belongings that we can’t carry with us, and where will we go? Schools and hospitals are targeted all the time. Just a few days ago, the school that’s just one street away from me was targeted and people were burned alive. I don’t want this, oh God, I don’t want to die this way.

Please help, I swear I’ll be thankful for anything. If you can’t afford to donate, then please at least share and I won’t ask more of you. Please.
