10 Wonderful Health Benefits Of Coconut Water For Kids
Tumblr media
Coconut is incredibly nutritious and offers a wealth of health advantages. It is a delightful, nutritious tropical fruit. All types of coconut, including raw coconut, water, milk, and oil, are beneficial to your body. It offers both aesthetic and health advantages. Speaking of coconut water, many homes choose to sip it each morning as soon as they awaken. In essence, this liquid is the juice found in the endosperm, the inside cavity of young, green coconuts.
Coconut water is fed to infants between the ages of six and eight months, and doctors advise against giving the child coconut chunks instead of just coconut water. Coconut water is typically able to be digested by babies and newborns as soon as they begin eating solid foods.
Babies younger than six months old shouldn’t drink coconut water because it could cause allergic reactions. Because coconut water is known to have a lot of sugar and sodium, it is advised to mix it with rice before giving it to infants to lessen the flavour.
Diabetics and persons following special diets are the two groups who favour coconut. The majority of diabetics can consume a teaspoon of well-fermented water kefir without their blood sugar levels being affected. However, if your blood sugar level is excessive, we advise switching to fermented coconut water. Coconuts that are still soft contain only a small amount of sugar. The sugar content decreases substantially during fermentation. The wonderful probiotic drink is high in vitamins and minerals and supports intestinal health while being very low in sugar. Additionally, coconut kefir water may fizz like soda if you ferment it for a longer period of time with a tight lid.
The following are a few of the delicate coconut water nutritional benefits:
· The first and most important nutritional benefit is that it is a great drink to cool yourself in the summer heat and has a very low calorie count.
· Water from a tender coconut helps with digestion.
· hydrates our body to prevent dehydration.
· It contains a lot of antioxidants, which reduce the incidence of illnesses.
· The tender coconut water contains cytokinins that have potent anti-aging, anti-carcinogenic, and anti-thrombotic actions.
· It supplies magnesium, calcium, potassium, salt, and helps maintain a healthy level of electrolytes in the body.
· lowers blood sugar levels and improves other diabetes-related health problems.
· Numerous investigations and research have led researchers to the conclusion that coconut water may help lower the risk of heart disease.
· The best treatment to lower blood cell levels of cholesterol and triglycerides is tender coconut water.
· Here are a few advantages of tender coconut water for your health and as a food source. When compared to other beverages, it is secure and healthful. Daily consumption of this coconut water lowers blood pressure, promotes weight loss, improves athletic performance, enhances energy, lessens cellulite, and relaxes muscles.

Coconut Lavender Tartlets Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Tart Shells:
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
1-2 tablespoons ice water
For the Coconut Custard:
1 cup coconut milk
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon lavender extract (or a few fresh lavender buds, finely crushed)
For the Whipped Coconut Cream:
1 can (14 ounces) coconut cream, chilled overnight
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
For Garnish:
Toasted coconut flakes
Lavender buds
Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions:
Make the Tart Shells:
In a food processor, combine flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Pulse to mix.
Add the cold butter and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add ice water 1 tablespoon at a time, pulsing until the dough starts to come together.
Press the dough into tartlet molds and prick the bottom with a fork.
Chill for 30 minutes, then bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes or until golden. Let cool completely.
Prepare the Coconut Custard:
Whisk together sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan.
Gradually whisk in coconut milk, ensuring no lumps form.
Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and lavender extracts. Allow to cool slightly before pouring into the cooled tart shells. Chill until set.
Make the Whipped Coconut Cream:
Scoop out the solidified coconut cream from the chilled can, leaving any liquid behind.
Whip the coconut cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
Assemble the Tartlets:
Once the custard is set, spoon or pipe the whipped coconut cream onto each tartlet.
Garnish with toasted coconut flakes, lavender buds, and a dusting of powdered sugar.
Serve:
Allow the tartlets to sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving for the best flavor and texture.

Hot Coconut Broccoli Soup (Vegan)
Tumblr media
This Hot Coconut Broccoli Soup, spicy with ginger and Habanero Pepper is bound to warm you up from the inside out!
Ingredients (serves 1 or 2):
2 small heads fresh broccoli
1 ½ toasted sesame oil
a thumb-size piece fresh ginger
1/4 of a small Habanero pepper
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 cup coconut milk
2 cups boiling water
a small bunch fresh Garden Cilantro
Fill a medium saucepan to the half with water, and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
With a sharp knife, cut broccoli fleurets off the stalks.
Place broccoli fleurets and the stalks in a steaming basket, and fit basket over the saucepan. Cover with a lid, and steam, about 10 minutes, until broccoli is just tender.
Remove from the heat and let cool.
In a large, deep wok, heat toasted sesame oil over medium-high heat.
Peel ginger and cut into thin slices. Finely chop Habanero pepper (put on rubber gloves if you wish, to be safe!)
Once the oil is hot, add ginger and Habanero pepper; fry, 1 minute.
Then, stir in steamed broccoli, and cook, shaking the pan to coat in oil and condiments, a couple of minutes more. Season with soy sauce. Cook, another minute.
Then stir in coconut milk and boiling water. Bring to the boil, then reduce heat to medium-low, cover with a lid and simmer, 5 minutes more.
Roughly chop Cilantro.
Pour coconut broccoli mixture in a blender. Add chopped Cilantro, and process until completely smooth, adding more water, if necessary. Return to the wok, to warm.
Serve Hot Coconut Broccoli Soup hot.
