I find what Hermione did to Marietta so... evil and stupid.
She added a curse in a list, not a contract of secrecy or anything, just a list, and didn’t tell anyone about it (so people signed a binding document without being informed of the risks, which sounds really fair - great start by the way - totally doesn’t look like something the evil guys do). A curse that is practically useless, a curse that doesn't prevent a person from talking about it or warn of betrayal, it serves just to punish the traitor - if Marietta had left Hogwarts before they saw her scarred face no one would know it was her.
There is also a chance Marietta must not have know what Umbridge was doing in her punishments because Harry, for no reason I can understand, decided not to tell anyone about it - so maybe the girl didn't know the harm that other people would suffer if she spoke, maybe she had no way of understanding the gravity of the situation.
Then comes to Hermione's own stupidity: why name the list DUMBLEDORE'S ARMY? Why advertise what it was for? If she left the title blank it could just pass as literally anything: list of people invited for a party, book club members, maybe they were signing up for a theather play or a musical like High School Musical, anything.
Now this girl became scarred for life and her friend gets hate for acting like a real friend should.
How is Hermione's good when if Draco had done half the things she did they would scream he was bad? How is what Mulciber TRIED to do to Mary bad - but what James ACTUALLY DID to Severus good? And I am not talking about Harry, he is an unreliable narrator (and not even he could deny his father was a bully), but about the people that read it and don't seem to be able to judge for themselves because the narrator said that good was bad and bad was good, then it must be true!
Absolutely, I agree with everything you’ve laid out, and I think this moment with Marietta is one of the clearest examples of how. Rowling applies a double standard to her so-called "good" characters, particularly Hermione, who is essentially a self-insert.
What Hermione did wasn’t clever, it wasn’t brave, it wasn’t protective, it was cruel, thoughtless, and, frankly, dangerous. People love to praise Hermione as a brilliant and moral character, but let’s be honest: this act is pure retribution. The curse doesn’t prevent betrayal or even expose it in a timely or functional way, the only point of the curse is to cause pain and shame. If Malfoy had done this people would never stop talking about how sadistic he is. If Snape had done it, we’d still be hearing about it as “proof” of his evil. But because it’s Hermione, it’s portrayed as this big “girlboss” moment. She’s the smart, sassy heroine who “got one over” on the traitor.
This is classic Rowling. Her protagonists, particularly the ones she identifies with are always portrayed as morally correct, no matter what they do. Their actions are justified, excused, or handwaved, while equivalent — or even lesser — offenses committed by “bad” characters are relentlessly demonized.
The Marietta incident exposes all of this hypocrisy. Rowling doesn’t want her readers to think critically, she wants them to accept her judgment as absolute. If she says Hermione is good, then even when she curses a girl’s face off without consent, it’s framed as justice. And if she says Snape or Draco is bad, then even if they’re trying to protect others or deal with their trauma, they’re irredeemable.
It’s manipulative writing, and it falls apart the moment you stop accepting her moral framing at face value

Thank you all so much! I never thought I'd get this fair, haha. Here is a little drabble to celebrate!!
----------------
Warning: Minors DNI, Fluff, mentions of sex, mentions of fetish, surprise: no smut
---------------
Miguel had been standing in the corner for what felt like eternity. He couldn't find it in himself to move. It was if he was trapped in time. His attention was focused on you.
You were just sitting alone on a park bench, reading something on your tablet. There was a bright smile against your lips as your cheeks turned crimson. The wind blew gently against your face, causing you to constantly fix your hair.
Everything about you was just beautiful. Miguel had taken notice of you a while ago. He just had no idea how to approach you. You had started working at Alchemax and Miguel was smitten. You were so beautiful. Miguel just wanted to talk to you.
"Just go up and say hello." Miguel told himself, "You're fucking Spiderman for god's sake."
Miguel prepped himself up and proceeded to walk to you. You let out a small giggle, covering your mouth before quickly looking around. Miguel flinched as the two of you made eye contact. Miguel cleared his throat as you quickly put your tablet away.
"Sorry, didn't mean to startle you." Miguel said. You just smiled towards him,
"You're Miguel, right? I've seen you a few times at work. I'm (Y/N)." You chirped, introducing yourself.
You couldn't believe it. The Miguel O'Hara was speaking to you. You had only fantasized about this moment. Miguel was a fucking god at Alchemex. He was sexy, smart and built like a champ. You dreamed of his arms squeezing your-
"S-So! Is there anything I could help you with?" You stuttered to ask, trying to push the dirty thoughts away. Miguel returned your smile,
"I was wondering if I could...take you out for a coffee?"
"Yes!" You chirped, then cleared your throat, "I mean, yes. I would love that."
----------
"If you don't mind me asking, what were you reading that had you smiling so lovely?" Miguel asked with a hum, watching your every move. Your cheeks started to burn,
"O-Oh, it was nothing...important." Biting your lower lip, you decided to be brave and bold, "Maybe I'll tell you...if we go out for a date?"
Miguel's eyes widen. This was going really smoothly. He took a sip of his coffee, agreeing to the idea. Miguel could hear your heart race as you quietly cheered to yourself. You were so cute. How could he have been so dumb and waited this long? The idea of you belonging to Miguel just sounded so right.
"How's Friday after work? Dinner and a movie?" Miguel offered. You fixed your hair,
"I'd love that."
--------
Miguel was a charmer. He had picked you up after work, dropped you off at your place, then returned to get you when you were ready. He even brought you flowers. Everything Miguel was doing was making your heart flutter. Now, you had to charm him. Miguel was letting you pick the movie.
"There are some...okay options," You mentioned, eyeing one particular movie, "Um..."
"Let's watch that one," Miguel pointed towards the movie you were glancing at, "You seem to be int-"
"W-We shouldn't! That...That movie is um...inappropriate."
Miguel laughed before grabbing your hand. His grip was tight, yet warm. Miguel had bought the tickets and brought you to your seats after getting some snacks. You sat side him, unable to calm down. You were positive that Miguel knew nothing of this movie. What if he decided to not want to see you again after this?
"Don't be nervous. It's just a movie." Miguel reassured you. You whimpered lowly, glancing up at him,
"A movie involving a lot of kinky sex." You whispered. Miguel quickly sat up as the lights dimmed, "I-I'm sorry. Um, remember you asked what I was reading at the park? It was smut. I, um, I'm really into kinky sex stories and....that...stuff....I-I know...I-I'm weird and-"
"It's fine," Miguel kissed your head, catching you off guard, "I'm not going to judge you on your tastes."
"Are you sure?"
"Of course."
----------
You were a blushing and giggling mess after the movie. You held your cheeks as you kept talking to Miguel about the movie. Miguel was happy that you were enjoying yourself; however, he had gotten hard during the movie imaging that it was you and him having sex. Miguel chuckled as you squealed lowly, talking about the end of the movie.
"So next date we can watch a similar movie," Miguel offered and noticed your shocked expression, "You're adorable when you talk about what you like. I'm glad to be able to see this side of you." He admitted. A smile creeped onto your face,
"Thanks, Miguel." You approached him and pecked his cheek, "I'll be happy to go on another date with you."
"Tuesday has Happy Hour at the bar across the street."
"Oof, isn't that the hefty work day filled with meetings?" You questioned. Miguel nodded, knowing that he was going to need the stress reliever,
"After work around 6?"
"Sounds like a date."

I wanted to do something a little different than the smut! Thank you all again for the 1k followers! Can't wait to keep up the writing for you all!!!

I Dare You... P1
Media The Artful Dodger
Character Jack Dawkins
Couple Jack X Reader
Rating Cute + Funny
I sat on the theatre steps bottle in my hand, and a few steps up with a bottle of his own sat Dr Dawkins, Together we were... tipsy.
But It was understandable, It had been a boring day.
A storm hung over Port Victory the sky dark and grey, rain battering the earth, the lights lit to try and starve the dark, most if not everyone huddled away in their homes, in that quiet where people don't want to go out as anything important isn't worth getting soaked over.
The hospital had been fairly quiet today, with only a few little things to deal with but not much else.
The sound of the wind and rain battering the world coming though the large window in the theatre, shadows of the rain across the bloody operating table.
So as we had little to do, Jack and I sat on the theatre seats with a beer each.
We had said we'd remain mostly sober, just one drink but in the boredom and darkness of the day, I don't think anyone can blame us for the few we had.
"Jack?"
"Umm?" He mumbled as he sipped his drink, his feet up on the wooden seats his arm leant over his knee,
"I'm bored," I said but then it clicked,
"Yep."
"There's nothing to do."
"Yep."
"Jack... Entertain me."
"Why?"
"Because I'm bored."
"How about... we play a game?"
"Ohh? What sort of game?" I glared, "Becuase we're not playing Jack says! I'm not falling for that again."
"Ohhh come on it was fun!"
"It was not! something else."
"Fine... How about truth or dare?"
"Are we sixteen? Is this a sleepover?"
"Just trying to help, fine I'll shut up." He said as he sipped his drink again,
"Fine, Truth or dare?"
"Truth."
"Alright... when was the last time you cried?"
For a moment he glared at me, "I am not drunk enough for this... uhhh Yesterday probably."
"Why?"
"I stubbed my toe getting out of bed,"
"Awwww, that's fair."
"Truth or dare?"
"Truth."
"Hum... What's something you do, when you think you're alone?"
"bite my nails."
"Why?"
"I don't know if it's comforting, and my mum used to slap my hands for doing it I just kinda absentmindedly do it when alone."
"You shouldn't do that."
"Yeah yeah, I know." I rolled my eyes "Truth or dare?"
"Truth."
"Do you... have anyone you hate?"
"How long have you got" he chuckled,
"Really?"
"I hate a lot of people. People are dicks," He shrugs, "Truth or dare?"
"truth,"
"If you could have any animal as a pet what would you have?"
"A bat."
"Really?"
"Yeah, there freaking adorable."
"Fair enough."
This went on for a while of back and forth with various questions none of which were all that interesting,
"When was the last time you had a bath?"
"...That seems invasive." He chuckled, "And your tone implies you're gonna judge my answer."
"Yes. Yes, I am Jack."
"...Last week."
"You're a gross little man."
"I know," He sighed, "Truth or dare?"
"Uhhh Dare!"
"Oohh Brave girl, Alright finish your drink."
I rolled my eyes and forced down the rest of my bottle, "Truth or dare."
"truth."
"You can't pick truth forever Jack,"
"Next time."
"What's the best advice someone has ever given you?"
He chuckled a little, "I was once told, that no matter what you do in life there are three options, You can do it good, you can do it fast, you can do it easy. But you can only pick two, so if it's good and fast it's not gonna be easy, if it's easy and fast it's not gonna be good, if your trying to make it easy and good well you're not gonna be fast. Think about that a lot."
"Hu... That is kinda insightful. Who told you that?"
"Captian Grimm. Served under him in the navy."
"He sounds like a very smart man,"
"He could be." He nodded, "truth or dare?"
"truth."
"What's the most trouble you've ever been in?"
"Ohhh Uhhh? My mother caught me cutting the heads off my dolls as a kid."
"Why?"
"I was crazy."
"was?"
"Hey!"
"Sorry."
"It's fine." I glared, "Truth or dare."
"truth."
"Jack!"
"Last one I swear."
"What's your greatest fear?"
"Intimacy. Abandonment and silence."
"Why the silence?"
"You spent ten years on a ship in pitch black, completely silent, it freaks you out."
"Fair enough,"
"What are you scared of?"
"I didn't say truth,"
"No, I'm just asking you."
"...Time."
"Time?"
"it's ever going, ever flowing constantly nature."
"Fair enough."

I had some people a little curious as to how I rated the TWST boys in my "TWST guys I would let date my niece (theoretically)" post in terms of personality only (considering they're fictional and my niece is 10). I can't completely answer everyone since there's only so many words tumblr would let me write as a reply, so here's for anyone who was curious.
The rating system was created alongside my niece on what she wanted in a partner (as much as she understood dating, anyway), compatibility with her personality, and my input as someone who has either met, known, or fortunately and unfortunately dated ppl with such personalities. With this in mind, maybe our list would be different from how you would categorize, which yea fair enough. This is all hypothetical anyway and it was interesting to see what my niece likes.
This does NOT mean I dislike any of the TWST guy. Seeing how unique each of them are personality-wise is honestly amazing and I want to believe that even if you have what people call "red-flags", "dealbreakers" or "turn-offs", that doesn't necessarily make you a bad person, just incompatible (with exceptions of like really toxic, destructive traits, like stealing someone's dog. Don't do that, guys).
Has my seal of approval
Trey responsible, good work ethic, loves to bake + the bonus of cute glasses (apparently me and my niece really like glasses).
Kalim fun-loving, open to new experiences, optimistic, and willing to learn if you're willing to teach.
Silver kind if a bit intimidating-looking, takes care of others, family-oriented,
Jack responsible, good lifestyle, works hard, kind while kinda grumpy, family-oriented.
Vil responsible, good life habits, works hard for success, not stuck on gender norms, kind if sort of stuck-up.
Lilia mature, fun-loving, open to new experiences, loves kids, not quick to anger. He does have his secrets, tho.
Neige kind, works hard for success, not afraid to be silly,
Ok…but I’m keeping an eye on you
Ace he's kinda lazy and willing to cheat in school but not a bad person.
Cater not willing to be vulnerable sometimes but is a responsible person that respects boundaries.
Azul a bit too opportunistic (in a sense he's also judging the value of anything, first) for me and may not vibe well with my niece but not bad.
Jamil not happy with how he sometimes lies and insincerely flatters others, but I don't think he does it maliciously so not a bad guy(?)
Ortho prone to violence if he thinks that's the best logical solution (i.e, hacking into security and blowing up the school??) so kinda worried.
Chenya a little too fickle and in-and-out physically which worries me, but he seems loyal and brave.
First, you and I are gonna have a talk
Riddle mainly his temper and impatience…and the in-laws
Deuce also his temper, and my niece prefers smart ppl (ooff)
Ruggie the 5-finger discount don’t fly under my watch
Epel also temper and prone to get into fights in the beginning. Also, my niece's not into the "gotta be manly" mentality, what are you gonna do?
Sebek it's mostly the temper and shouting…and tone down the Malleus simping
Jade don’t be bringing drama into my household
Rook it’s the creepy simping
Malleus kinda seen in early Book 7 and the spectral realm event, he doesn't communicate and talk things through with others and just does things on his own because he's powerful enough to do so, which is just...something we gotta talk about, first.
Oh, you and I are gonna fight, first!
Leona spoiled to high heavens, gives up on a lot of things, and is too used to having things done for him. I'm not letting my niece become his maid!
Floyd No...just no. He's the friend that I worry my niece will someday have to pick up at the police station. No
Idia Quick to judge others, kinda thinks he's smarter than everyone, and has a hard time communicating and socializing even with his friends and partners. I know this because I used to date someone like Idia, and currently have a crush on another person very similar to him.
Rollo Also (sorta) dated someone like him which is...an experience. Treated me as someone pure and sweet, but disliked my friends because she thought they were bad influences. Also really wanted me to join her kinda sketchy religious thing which I wasn't really into.
#there you have it#hope this answers some questions#twisted wonderland#twst#disney twisted wonderland

I'm embarrassed to even admit this (and am thankful that you have anon on!) but I actually like Lucas Scott more than Dan Humphrey. Please don't think I'm disagreeing with anything you wrote in that Jess vs Dan vs Lucas vs Jughead analysis, because it really was brilliant and totally on target. But Dan kind of desperately wanting to be accepted by the snotty high society Upper East Side crowd even while judging and mocking them (and apparently secretly stalking and humiliating them all as gossip girl lol) just bothers me and for me isn't at all something Lucas - or Jess or Jughead- would care about. Lucas is a lot of not great things, but he's truly not into status, pretentious or desperate for acceptance. And as you've pointed out, Lucas is actually a decent and generally honest human being outside of his romantic relationships---I just can't ever see him playing a secret 'gossip girl' type role in OTH or even caring enough about gossip to constantly read and write about it. Even if we pretend Dan wasn't Gossip Girl, which he shouldn't have been for several reasons, he's got more of a Julian thing of caring more about status and popularity than Lucas, Jess or Jughead imo. I still like Dan and think he's a great match for Blair---I just also think he's a little more deceitful, hypocritical and into status than Lucas, Jess or Jughead...but then again he's a character on Gossip Girl, where pretty much everyone is fairly terrible in that way :) As for Lucas---yeah, he's indecisive and lies to himself and therefore others about his romantic feelings, and the center point in any love triangle always justifiably grates on everyone's nerves lol. And like the other three guys mentioned here, he can definitely be judgy and self-righteous. But there's a lot I like about Lucas too---he's smart and cerebral, he's brave and protective, he's very insightful (except when it comes to himself lol) and I really do think he cares about people deeply. But I get that that doesn't excuse his flaws :) Thanks for reading this - I have no idea how or why it's so long!
Aw, you don't have to be embarrassed! I respect your privacy, though. It's funny I gave the impression I don't like Lucas. The truth is, I like him a lot and spend most of the show actively enjoying his character. Seasons 1 and 5 were pretty terrible (though season 1 at least gave him a solid foundation compared to season 5's constant fuckboy behavior). I bash Lucas because I genuinely care and get so frustrated because I know he's capable of being better than he ends up being. His whole arc went to shit because of multiple love triangles and the bizarre idea that he needed to be "in denial" over his feelings for Peyton, multiple times, rather than just owning up to the fact he had complicated feelings for multiple women at the same time. And unfortunately, this behavior manifested itself in multiple instances of cheating because the dude was desperate for love and needed validation when it came to his love life. Anyways. Needless to say, I also prefer Lucas to Dan simply because I'm way more invested in One Tree Hill than Gossip Girl.
I appreciate the compliments. 💙 It really wasn't anything. Just random thoughts I threw together LOL. Your critique of Dan is fair. The thing about Gossip Girl is that the morality is upside down. Everyone screws over everyone and it's generally accepted that the wealthy elite can do no wrong. Dan doesn't quite fit into this crowd yet benefits from much of the privilege due to attending the same private school and later becoming Lily's stepson and eventually, Serena's husband. So he ends up being an honorary member of the core group, though he grew up in a very different environment, meaning it's much easier for Dan to be judgmental of the other characters. I think I just ignore the "Dan is Gossip Girl" reveal? There's no real way to make sense of it or to claim everything adds up based on what we saw on screen throughout seasons 1-5. It was a mistake for any character we saw on a regular basis to be revealed as Gossip Girl. But if I'm forced to acknowledge the reveal, you're correct that none of the other three would ever in a million years do such a thing. This implies there was a part of Dan that was so desperate to belong and to fit into the upper east side that he schemed, manipulated, stalked, gaslit and essentially pretended to be a different person to keep up the ruse. It's very dumb, as is the idea that everything was actually a secret love letter to Serena, someone he'd stopped seriously loving years before. To be fair though, I still haven't seen the final season of Gossip Girl. Your point about Dan being a Julian type is probably accurate. The thing about comparing those four characters is that it doesn't 100% add up. They're similar archetypes, but don't necessarily play the same roles on their respective shows. Dan was never presented nearly as heroically as Lucas was. By the time season 2 premiered, it was pretty clear the morality of the show had shifted with Chuck Bass becoming the male lead. The focus shifted to awful, privileged people doing underhanded things while looking beautiful (and Ed Westwick was there too) rather than viewing these characters through the eyes of the less privileged Humphreys. I mean, it was always a stretch due to Rufus being a rockstar, but in Gossip Girl world Dan is the poor one.
I have nothing to add to your thoughts about Lucas's strengths, but I 100% agree. Lucas has a lot going for him and is truly good at heart. He just doesn't need to be in a relationship until he gets some therapy. Unfortunately, he masked his problems by rushing down the aisle and starting a family. At this point, I have to assume he and Peyton are divorced, but that's just my wishful thinking.

your candle burned my skin
pairing: adrian chase x reader (gn pronouns)
rating: t+ (canon-typical violence, temporary (reader) character death)
word count: 2,789
one-sentence synopsis: you thought that you had mentioned your powers of resurrection to adrian, but it turns out you didn't-- and you don't get a chance to tell him before he finds out for himself.
author's note: i wrote this on my phooooooone while i should've been doing other things nobody judge me!!!!
>>> read on ao3! <<<
Adrian loves spending time with you.
Like, he loves spending time with you. Nobody has ever been able to keep up with him like you can. All his life, he’s been able to do things other people just couldn’t. If he got hurt, he healed in minutes; even the most dramatic of injuries could be gone in under an hour, for him. He’s never tried cutting his own head off, or anything, but he has taken to more than his fair share of daredevil moves, and risks his life far more often than necessary.
Not only that, but most people just can’t keep up. His mind moves faster than his mouth, which is already moving a million miles a minute. He doesn’t always feel like he connects with people. He wonders if they can sense that he’s inhuman in some way, or if maybe they just don’t like him.
Not you, though.
You’ve always been able to keep up. You always match him. When he’s pulling some stupid stunt, you’re there at his side. When he’s taking on an entire gang, you’re his only back-up. When he’s trying to express himself and the right words won’t come, but the wrong words won’t stop, you are always there to listen and figure him out.
You understand him. He even thinks he might understand you.
He’s never had to tell you about his abilities, because they’re obvious. He gets hurt a lot, and always heals obviously quickly. You’ve never had to heal from anything in front of him, because he always takes the hit for you. He knows he’ll heal; it’s just easier if he takes whatever blow it is, then deals with it, rather than risk something far more permanent ever happening to you.
Besides, he can’t really stand to see you get hurt. It’s really a win-win. He gets to show off a little, be brave, and protect you, and he never sustains any permanent damage. No harm, no foul.
Adrian thinks he might just be the luckiest man alive. He’s not entirely sure he can die, he’s a hero who gets to fight bad guys with his friends, and he has you at his side. It doesn’t seem like anything can ever go wrong; this is more than he ever thought he’d have, more than he’d ever thought to even want. You’re funny, you’re sweet, you’re smart, you’re hot, and you’re always at his side, even though he has abilities and you don’t.
Or— as far as he knows, you don’t.
Adrian’s never seen you get hurt, because he always takes the hit before you can even get hurt. He’s never seen you heal, because you’ve never needed to, in front of him. He’s never thought about it before.
Now, it’s all he can think about.
Fighting the butterflies— that’s unlike anything Adrian has ever had to deal with. The two of you have fought a lot of bad guys, but never anything like this. You're fighting side-by-side, for most of the final battle, but then Adrian gets separated from you. He loses track of you, lost in the throng of bodies. He keeps trying to find you; even when he's shot, he refuses to go down, pushing back up to standing and trying to find you again.
He’s fighting his way through five separate humans— or, human-ish bodies occupied by butterflies— when he hears your cut-off scream. All his blood runs cold, his hands going numb, his head snapping up the second he hears it.
It’s obvious what’s happened, if not the exact details of it. He hears the scream of pain, the agonized shock as the sound tears out of you, more animal than consciously human. You’re cut off part of the way through with a wet sound, and then silence.
Adrian is already moving. His adrenaline is pumping, heart pounding so quickly it doesn’t feel like it’s beating at all, pushing his body to move as quickly as it can. He feels the shot in his stomach healing already, pushing the bullet out onto the ground. Every slash on his arms, every wound through his body, every injury he sustains— he barely even feels the pain. It all heals so quickly it doesn’t matter. It’s all barely a blip on the radar compared to his abrupt terror and urgent, desperate need to find you.
“Vigilante!” John’s voice calls. Adrian’s already running in his direction, and he finds John laid on the ground, snapped leg laid out beside him, and your head cradled in his lap. “It’s going to be okay, man, don’t worry—”
Adrian’s ignoring him, not even listening, falling to his knees beside you in a second, pulling you over to him instead. The movement jostles you, and you make a pained noise, unable to stop yourself from feeling the unspeakable hurt of your injuries in this moment. You’ve been hurt too badly, a knife run directly through your heart. Adrian sees it still there, stuck out of your chest.
“Oh, fuck,” Adrian curses, voice already weak, breaking. He’s never seen you hurt before, never, not like this, and it feels like a nightmare to see it happening. “Fuck, fuck, I don’t— What do I do? What do we— We have to get out of here, we have to—”
“Adrian,” you stop him, reaching up for him. He goes silent, eyes dropping to your face, his gloved hand coming up to cup your cheek in his hand.
You try to speak again, to continue, but you can’t manage it. Instead, Adrian can only watch with horror, completely useless in the face of your death, as you cough up blood. It spills red down your chin, seeps from your nose. Adrian sweeps it away, clutches you closer.
“God, no,” Adrian begs you. “I was— I should’ve been here— Oh, fuck, fuck, we have to get to a hospital—”
“Adrian,” Chris says above him.
Adrian’s head snaps up, and he looks up at him from behind his visor, vision stained red, tears dampening the fabric of his mask until it clings to his skin. Chris is standing just behind him, but his eyes aren’t on Adrian. They’re on you— on the knife in your chest. He can’t stop looking at it.
“They’re not going to make it,” Chris tells him. “Th—”
“Shut the fuck up,” Adrian interrupts him sharply, already looking away, dismissing him as worse than useless. He shifts to get his legs under him instead, shifting you into his arms. “Okay, I’m gonna lift you up, alright? I’m gonna get you to the car, and we’re gonna—”
You shake your head as best as you can. You keep trying to speak, to get the words up your throat and out of your mouth, but you can’t quite manage it. You’re choked off by your own blood and the screaming pain inside you. Instead, you grapple to hang onto Adrian, trying to tell him as much as you can with your touch and your eyes and your face, even if you can’t speak.
Adrian just clutches you close, strokes your bloody face with his hand. He tears his mask away, rips his gloves off, gets his bare hands on you.
You reach up, grasping for the hilt of the knife in your chest. Adrian tries to tug your hand away, to stop you from pulling at it, but you push at his wrist. You shove at him so you can grab onto the knife; in one swift movement, you yank it up and out. Your heart nearly cracks to pieces in your chest, and blood rushes from the hole in your front as surely as it gushes up from your mouth.
“What the— What the fuck would you do that for, what the fuck are you doing,” Adrian’s demanding to know, but you can barely hear him, anymore. He doesn’t understand why you’d do that, unless you’re going fucking insane.
You can’t manage to get the words to explain. With each second, you’re losing more blood, your face going white, your eyes getting glazed. You’re not really responding to Adrian, not anymore, and he grabs you, shakes you again. He can’t stop holding you, can’t let you go.
“It’s gonna be okay,” he reassures you. His voice breaks, and then he sobs, pressing his forehead to yours as he tries to stagger to his feet again. This time, it sounds more like he’s begging when he repeats, “It’s gonna be okay, you’re gonna be okay, I’ve got you, it’s okay—”
You shake your head again, trying to reach up and touch his face. You barely succeed, leaving only a smear of blood and the faint warmth of your fingertips, ghosting across his skin. You’re going cold so quickly. Adrian can’t process this; it feels like a living nightmare.
You try to say something, but no sounds come out. Your mouth moves, and Adrian’s trying to figure out what you’re saying, but then—
—then your heart is stopping, and your breath is stilling, your chest no longer moving. Your eyes don’t move away from Adrian’s, but they grow distant, looking at nothing. Glassy, empty. You’re no longer present there in them.
“Hey,” Adrian says, voice scraping, breaking apart. He can barely speak through the tears as he demands, “Hey, hey, what— What are you— Hey! You can’t— You can’t fucking—”
He collapses in the next moment, unable to get in enough air to properly cry, let alone breathe. He’s just gasping, tears streaming. It feels like his entire body is cracking apart; it feels like he’s cracking apart, like everything that he is is just splintering to pieces. It doesn’t feel real, a waking nightmare, an unreal madness, a living death.
His fingertips stroke up your face, clutching you to him. He pushes his forehead to yours, kisses you hard, blood filling his mouth. It spills down his own chin when he tells you, “Fuck, I c— I love you, I can’t— I can’t do this, I can’t, I can’t, I can’t fucking do this, I can’t—”
This can’t happen. It can’t. He wasn’t alone— He wasn’t alone anymore, when he was with you. He had a life with you, he was happy, he can’t— he can’t lose you. He clutches you closer, buries his face in your still chest, and sobs, he screams, he falls to fucking pieces. He thought you’d outlive him; he can’t stand the idea of you dying now, the absolutely unreal idea of him being forced to live in a world without you, to live a life without you. It can’t be real. It can’t. It’s not fucking fair, it’s not— It’s not—
Adrian’s so lost, adrift in a haze of nothing but white noise and darkness and you, the immense, unending loss of you, an immediate rejection of a grief so immense he can barely process it— that he doesn’t realize, not at first.
He doesn’t realize there’s a little color and warmth coming back into your face. He doesn’t realize your hands are shifting slightly. He doesn’t realize your chest is starting to lift, just a bit. He doesn’t realize your heart is desperately trying to move, to start beating again, sluggishly attempting to restart itself in your chest.
He doesn’t realize until your hand actually starts to come up, your fingers touching his temple before you thread through his hair. You clutch him close, for a weak moment, before pressing your lips to his hair.
It’s then Adrian realizes what’s happening. He jerks upwards so quickly he nearly knocks the crown of his head into the underneath of your chin. He recalibrates at the last moment, steadying himself so he can look down at you with his bloodshot eyes, still unable to stop crying, not believing any of what’s happening.
He presses your face between his hands, incredulous. Softly, he says your name, and your eyes flutter for a second before they close and then fucking— open again. You look up at him, blinking, eyes refocusing and clearing.
“Oh, fuck,” Adrian gasps. He drops down into you again, hysterical. “Oh, fuck— Oh, what the fuck, what the fuck was that, what the fuck—”
You can feel your body slowly repairing itself, pulling you back together piece by piece. This hasn’t happened in a long time, not since you were much younger, but it does happen. You’ve known for years that you had resurrection abilities— ever since you fell out of a window when you were hardly two years old, then revived yourself on the pavement below, got up, and walked back inside covered in blood. It’s never actually come up with anybody before; you assumed everybody in the 11th Street Kids knows about your abilities, because they’re in your file.
Of course, you forgot that Adrian isn’t officially a member of the team. He doesn’t know about your abilities. You never mentioned them because you figured he already knew, and he’s always been so nonchalant about his own abilities— you figured it was just no big deal, and he saw no point in bringing it up.
As you rouse yourself now, though, and return to the land of the living as you have had to do several times before, and you find Adrian going completely fucking berserk, deranged in his collapsing, desperate mania to have you back, you realize he doesn’t know about your powers. He must have never known about them, because the way he’s looking at you is not the face of somebody who knew you were going to be okay in about five minutes.
“What the fuck?” Adrian whispers, holding you close. He kisses you, tasting the blood still in both your mouths, bewildered. He can’t begin to process this, can’t begin to understand.
He doesn’t know if he’s died, or if he’s gone insane, or what, but he doesn’t really care. If you’re here, he’ll take it; it doesn’t matter what’s happening. He’ll never let it stop.
“I’m sorry,” you tell him. Your voice is still rough as your body restarts itself. You might have the ability to come back, but that doesn’t make it easy. You’re already exhausted; you want to shower, eat something, and sleep sooner rather than later. “I thought you knew.”
“What?” Adrian repeats. “Knew— Knew fuck— Knew fucking what? What the fuck just happened—”
“I can’t die,” you interrupt him. He stares at you, bewildered, then looks up to Leota with confusion, the first person he makes eye contact with. “They know. I thought you knew.”
“What the fuck?” Chris demands. “I didn’t fucking know—”
“I was trying to tell you,” John defends himself. “I was just trying, and nobody was listening to me—”
“Because I thought they were fucking dead,” Adrian shouts at him, voice breaking again. He turns back to you, looking desperate again in his need to confirm you’re okay, and alive, and that this is all real. “Why the fuck didn’t you tell me—”
“I thought you knew,” you repeat, “I swear, I really did, I mean— You never talk about yours, you just do stuff, so I figured it was just no big deal—”
“No big deal?” Adrian echoes incredulously. “No big— No big deal? That you can’t fucking die?”
You blink up at him, your heart finally reaching its normal pace. Seeing Adrian this close, so terrified of losing you, it starts going even faster, racing in your chest.
“Surprise,” you whisper up to him. “I really am sorry.”
He stares down at you for a beat before he fucking— laughs, through the still-falling tears. He’s smiling, then, and he can’t stop; the feeling inside him is exploding, overwhelming him, and he can’t let it go. He’s realizing this is real, that you’re actually alive and it’s okay and you’re here with him—
—And he is going to demand explanations, and he’s going to want to see what your abilities are like, and the two of you are eventually going to end up testing the extent of your abilities together, but, for now—
For now, Adrian laughs, and repeats, “‘Surprise,’ you— You fucking shithead, I love you so fucking much,” before he’s kissing you again, dragging his bloody hands along your face, down your body, trying to touch every inch of you. He chases after your pulse, feels for your pounding heart, tastes the air from your inflating lungs, and keeps smiling through his tears, hopelessly determined to show you just how much he needs you here, with him, alive, forever.

"I am living for your Adrian Chase fics! Have you seen the fandom headcanon that Adrian has regenerative abilities, like his comics counterpart? So that headcanon is gospel to me now and I like the idea of him being with a reader who has abilities too, and they’re like a total bombshell and badass but also a huge dork in their own way and they and Adrian just get each other. They run around being the most stupidly in love chaotic couple ever. I hope it’s not too random to share this thought lol." (anonymous)
"Hey! I love your work so so much!!! Would it be possible for you to write a oneshot with Adrian where like… after the final battle with the butterflies, reader takes a hit for Adrian and he holds them in his arms as they die, like full stop, eyes glazed and staring at nothing, no pulse. But, little does he know (mainly because it never came up in conversations with the Kids), reader actually has regenerative/resurrection powers? ((If this is too specific then feel free to ignore—absolutely no worries :) and thank you for all the amazing content you create; it’s honestly amazing and whenever I get a notification that you’ve posted, I get the biggest smile on my face!))" "Hi ☺️ Prompt 100. Adrian Chase x reader. idk if I make up the prompt or you do, but if I’m the one who has to make it up, can it be the reader revealing to Adrian they have powers?" (@thatidomagirl)

What are your thoughts on Slytherin!Percy?
Ooh, I love this question! 🥰
Before I answer, I just want to be clear that I'm a firm believer that the house system at Hogwarts was fundamentally flawed. One, it shoves kids into these little boxes of characteristics that ultimately define them for the rest of their academic careers (and beyond, in many cases), and two, most people could easily belong to several houses. For example, I think Percy would have fit well in every house (he’s brave like Gryffindors, ambitious like Slytherins, smart like Ravenclaws, and he values hard work/fair play like Hufflepuffs). So in an ideal world, there would be no houses, and this wouldn’t even be an issue.
That being said, Hogwarts does have a house system, and as such, I have a soft spot for Slytherin Percy. This is because Percy embodies all the Slytherin traits in a positive way. He’s cunning, resourceful, a leader, and ambitious, but he uses all of those characteristics to do the right thing. JKR had a tendency to make most Slytherins the “bad guys.” Yes, she made characters from other houses villains too (like Peter Pettigrew), but being sorted into Slytherin was essentially a precursor to becoming bad/evil. Having Percy in Slytherin would have been a good step towards making Slytherin House more balanced. I also think Percy could have been a positive influence on other characters too, because he represents a better way/choice - he can still be a Slytherin without going down the wrong path.
However, I think Percy’s relationship with his family would have seriously suffered from this, because the Weasleys have a deep prejudice against Slytherins (whether they want to admit it or not). There’s a reason Ron said this on the way to Hogwarts for his first year:
“What house are your brothers in?” asked Harry.
“Gryffindor,” said Ron. Gloom seemed to be settling on him again. “Mom and Dad were in it, too. I don’t know what they’ll say if I’m not. I don’t suppose Ravenclaw would be too bad, but imagine if they put me in Slytherin.”
Ron hasn’t even started Hogwarts yet, and he already has a highly negative view of Slytherins. That’s not coming from nowhere (and I’m willing to bet that Arthur encouraged this opinion, since he blatantly insulted Lucius to his children).
The Weasleys likely would have been horrified and disappointed in Percy, wondering where they went wrong. I think all of his siblings would have ignored him (at best) or made his life hell with insults/pranks. I don't even think his mother would have doted on him as much (she would have still loved him, but she definitely would have been more distant and blamed herself for what she saw as a flaw/failure).
That would have been really tough for Percy, but in some ways, it might have been better for him in the long run. Up until the beginning of Book 5, Percy still obviously craved acceptance from his family, and unfortunately, they never truly gave it to him (he was just too “different” for them to ever really understand). If he’d been sorted into Slytherin, he would have had to accept this fact much sooner, and it’s very possible that he would have stopped being so concerned with their opinion and just focused on being himself instead (which likely would have felt like a weight was lifted off his shoulders).
Some of his fellow Slytherins probably would have treated him poorly at first, because he's a Weasley, but I think that would have fizzled out pretty quickly once they realized his strenuous relationship with his family. The Slytherins tend to have a “protect our own” mentality (which makes sense, given how they are usually judged by the other houses), and that would have extended to Percy. I actually think he would have had more friends in Slytherin than he did in Gryffindor, because as @mirrorofliterature said in this post, most of his siblings' friends have a more negative view of Percy than the rest of the student body, and since his siblings were all in Gryffindor, that didn't leave Percy a whole lot of options for friends. In Slytherin, he wouldn’t have been judged by his housemates because of the way his siblings perceived him, and in turn, he likely would have felt more comfortable opening up to others (like Adrian Pucey).
I also think Percy being sorted into Slytherin would have all but ensured that he was a spy during the war. With Slytherin connections, someone like Percy would seem like the perfect recruit for Voldemort - he’s smart, ambitious, a pureblood, and distant from his blood traitor family - and the Dark Lord would have assumed that he could manipulate Percy into being loyal to him. I think Percy would have played the part well and quickly rose in ranks amongst the Death Eaters until he eventually became part of Voldemort’s inner circle. This could have changed the books tremendously, and it would have been fascinating to read!
Sorry for rambling, but thanks for the ask! 😊

Romanced companions (fo4) react to a distressed female soul telling them she found out she's turning into a ghoul (she's known it for a while but she's been too afraid to tell them, worrying about how they'd react)
Romanced! FO4 Companions React to F!Sole Turning into a Ghoul
Thank you so much for the ask anon! (and for your patience, I know you sent this one in forever ago 😅)
I always kind of wondered how the companions would react to this if it was a function of the game 🤔 So I'm glad I got to explore it a bit! I hope you enjoy!
Cait:
No. Not her. Not her Sole. Cait thought, unable to grasp the news Sole had just revealed to her. Her partner was too strong, she was too careful. She was from before the bombs, before the radiation! How could this have happened?
In her mind, it would have made a lot more sense for Cait to turn into a ghoul long before Sole. Her arse actually deserved the pain of watching her physical self peel away day by day, but not Sole. Her companion, her partner, the one damn person she actually loved... No, Sole was too good for this. But the two of them, they could beat it, they could reverse it somehow. One of those vaults could hold the answer, like it did for her, even after she had thought it was too late.
Cait didn't want to stop the change because she had anything against ghouls, really, because she doesn't. But she couldn't stand the sight of her luv's face when, at the light brush of her fingers through her once silky locks, she felt them fall to the ground in webbed clumps, Cait couldn't stand the pain in Sole's expression as her skin began to shrivel and peel off, she couldn’t witness one more instance of Sole glancing in a mirror with such immense sadness in her eyes. And Cait became very troubled when she realized that Sole would be here long after she was dead. Cait couldn't stand to face reality without her partner after all that she's done for her, and now Sole was staring that reality in the face. The poor lass had already outlived everyone she's known and loved once, and now she had to do it all over again, who knows how many times? It just wasn't fuckin' fair.
Well, once Cait had accepted Sole's change as permanent, she would do everything in her power to ensure the pair made the most of their years together, giving absolutely no fucks about Sole's new appearance. And should anyone else decide to look at her the wrong way, or, God forbid, say something to her about it, Cait's fist would be unholstered and swinging before the offensive words could even leave their worthless lips.
Curie:
She would feel sorry for Sole, and constantly be there for her as a source of support. When her love had told her what was happening, Curie had been shocked. Sure, she had noticed a few changes in her partner’s body, but she had hoped it wouldn’t be anything too serious. Still, this wasn't the worst that could happen, Curie would know, after all of the diseases and viruses she had worked with in the vault. Yet... the synth still found her chest throbbing at the thought of watching her love deteriorate before her eyes.
Throughout Sole’s change, Curie would do what she could to lessen the symptoms. There was no “cure” for being a ghoul, but Curie would feel awful if she didn’t at least try.
As Sole’s condition became more and more obvious, she would do everything in her power to make sure her partner knew that she still loved her. Curie had been a reprogrammed Miss Nanny when Sole had found her, she'd been nothing more than a metal machine when Sole had selflessly saved her, and yet, she had found a way to love her for who she was, despite what she was, and she had been there every step of the way as she made the change to her synth body. Curie would be happy to return the favor tenfold.
Also, throughout the process of Sole's change, if anyone was rude to her love, about anything, Curie would be at them with harsh words and a firm teacher’s voice as she gave the ill-mannered stranger a quick ghouls-101 education session.
Danse (Post BB):
Oh… Oh God. Not this. Not her, not his beautiful Sole. The ex-paladin’s stomach would drop as she quietly forced out her confession, refusing to meet his wide, despairing gaze.
He didn’t know what to do. Danse was horrified. Not for the first time in his life, he felt like his world was crashing down all around him. Everything good in his life seemed to revolve around the person in front of him, but all of his love, his devotion, all of the effort he put into protecting this one person he had left, that he valued above all else in his life, it was all in vain. Because now… she was turning into something that he had always feared. Something that he had been taught and trained to despise, to think of as vermin that needed to be extinguished. It was the way he felt about himself when he found out what he truly was. He never wanted to feel that way towards her, never thought he would have been able to, and even now… he found that he couldn’t.
It didn’t matter what she was turning into, what she’d become, she was still Sole. And he was committed to her, he was loyal to her. Godammit, he loved her for Christ's sake. He wasn’t about to let this calamitous development change any of that. She certainly hadn’t when it had been him in her place.
Danse would still often have trouble with his internalized prejudices left over from his time with the Brotherhood, but he would try his heart out for her. Every passing day brought more changes to the woman he loved, each one serving as a reminder to what the end result would be, and witnessing it would break his heart into pieces.
It was strange though, it wasn’t as devastating as he had thought it would be, in the beginning. Sole was still herself, even underneath all of the physical changes, she was still here beside him, and in the end, that’s all Danse really needed.
Deacon:
For once, Deacon remained silent. His brows furrowed low beneath his sunglasses and his hand came up to rub at his mouth, as though he were trying to physically pull out a response. He cleared his throat, and his hand went up to remove his glasses so he could look Sole in the eye. A rare sight, one that made her pulse quicken further as the apprehension of her confession really set in.
Deacon had already known, or… suspected, rather, but he hadn’t wanted to believe it. It wouldn’t be the first time the Railroad agent's experienced this kind of dread. When he had found out his wife was a synth, he had felt this same crippling pressure in his chest. But he didn’t say that, Sole didn’t need to hear about his problems, no, not again. Now she needed him to help with hers.
So, the spy would nod at her, and ask her what she needed from him. He's a knowledgeable guy, everyone knows that, Sole most of all, so if she needed anything as far as information on what she was about to go through, he would be able to provide it. Better yet, he could bring her to quite a few folks he knew who had gone through the same sorta hell themselves.
Beyond that, not much else would change. Deacon isn't one to put much stock in a person's physicality, what kinda daft and inconsiderate hypocrite would he be if he did? Hell, he may even speak to a surgeon about altering his appearance to become more ghoul-like if that was something Sole cared about. But honestly? He just would want his partner to know that it didn't matter to him.
"Thought you could get rid of lil old me just by going ghoul? Heh, sorry, cuddle muffin, but it looks like you're still stuck with me."
Sole had been able to forgive him for everything he's done, she hadn't judged or ridiculed him for being a bigoted assface for the first half of his life, and she'd accepted him for the compulsive liar and emotion-dodging, sarcastic smart-ass that he was now; sooooooo, yeah. This whole ghoul thing? Not a problem. Just another glorious and compelling chapter in this wacky book called life.
Hancock:
Hancock becomes the literal epitome of empathy. He knows what this shit's like, he's gone through the motions. He remembers the nightmarish sight of his flesh falling from his body in shriveled tatters, he recalls his once silken voice dissolving to his current raspy timbre, he knows what it's like to see the bright vibrance of his irises vanish over the course of a couple weeks, slowly dissolving to the blackness that he now saw the world through.
But with Hancock, it had been his choice. Okay, so he didn't know for certain that he'd become a ghoul, but he had been ready for it, had known it was at least a possibility. With Sole though, she didn't sign up for this shit. She didn't deserve to go through the same kinda hell he did. He wanted to go through hell, felt like he deserved it. But his gorgeous sunshine? The light of his life, the kindest, most selfless person he'd ever met? Nah. She didn't deserve to watch herself develop the likeness of a certain sorta dehydrated fruit.
Hancock would be sure to tell her every day just how incredible she was, how brave, and strong, and how she was still beautiful beyond belief, no matter what. He would show her how he felt. Showering her in gifts and affection, taking her out to prove to her that he could never even think to be embarrassed by her in any capacity whatsoever. He loved this woman, he cherished her. Every irradiated bit of her.
And now… now the best part. Hancock would try not to seem too overexcited, knowing that this whole process was traumatic and painful for his love, but now he could spend the rest of their lives making her see just how much one person-- one ghoul-- could love another. He'd been terrified out of his mind when he thought he would outlive Sole, by who knows how long. But now… now they had an eternity to spend together, or, however long it is ghouls live for. Whatever, no matter how much time they had, Hancock would never be convinced it would be enough. He just supposes the rest of their long lives will simply have to do.
MacCready:
He'd try not to give away his heartbreak as he gazed back at her, his face draining of all it's color as those fateful words escaped her with a sob. This was a nightmare of MacCready's. He hadn't ever told Sole what he saw that night he had woken up screaming, he had told her he couldn't remember the dream, and she had said "maybe that was for the best." If only he'd been telling the truth. In reality, what he saw was the immensely frightening sight of Sole taking his late wife's place in that horrific memory that was forever burned into his brain. Her body engulfed by a throng of writhing ferals as she shrieked out his name. As with all of his dreams like this, MacCready was rooted to the place he stood, forever imprisoned as a bystander to the brutality taking place before him. The agony only ceased when the pack of feral ghouls dispersed, revealing Sole, now as one of them. She had raced towards him, hunger and madness glinting in the opaque depths of her dark, iris-less eyes. The mercenary couldn't get the image out of his head as he watched the color in Sole's eyes fade away over time, her skin losing its divine smoothness, her soft hair drifting to the ground in wisps of somber defeat.
The couple had cried a lot in those weeks of her change. The process was heart wrenching for the both of them to witness; but MacCready stuck by her side. He could be stronger than his nightmares, than his fears, when it came to Sole.
When the day finally did come when she was referred to as a ghoul by a perfect stranger, MacCready had almost been surprised. It had taken time for her to look this way, to sound this way, and he had hardly noticed the extent to which his partner changed until looking at old renderings and pictures of her from before the bombs. This was just who she was now.
She wasn't a monster, a ravenous zombie that he feared and despised. She was Sole. She still acted like his love, her voice still resembled that of his partner's, her eyes had lightened to a blue that outshone his own, which he was clearly not bitter about, and she still was just utterly his Sole. The same woman he had fallen for in the first place, the one he thought he'd never be lucky enough to be loved by in return. But now, even behind all the changes, he could still see her there, and he could certainly still love her.
The nightmares became much less common after her transformation, oddly enough. And when he finally introduced Sole to Duncan, he was terribly worried that the boy would hate her, that he would remember that traumatic night when the pair had lost a mother and a wife, and that he would be afraid of her. But his son hardly seemed to notice Sole's condition, as he shook her hand and introduced himself with enthusiastic giddiness. Later, Duncan might voice some questions to her about being a ghoul, but they were always out of genuine curiosity.
MacCready couldn't have been more proud of his child than he was then, or more touched than when Duncan expressed his relief at Sole having a skin condition like this, and yet, she was still able to be loved by someone as great as his dad. The boy himself remembered the way people would look at him before he had been cured of his blue boils, and he didn't wish that on anybody, he'd assured both Sole and MacCready of that one day.
No, MacCready couldn't have been more proud. Of his son, sometimes even of himself as he learned to outgrow his fears, how to muscle through his trauma and be the best father and partner he could possibly be; and certainly, he couldn't have been prouder of Sole.
Nick:
Nick would be remarkably sympathetic, taking Sole's hand in his good one comfortingly as she struggled to get out the confession, and having not even a glimpse of a negative reaction in response to her heart-wrenching words.
“Oh, doll… I’m so sorry.” His fingers would stroke over her hand in an effort to comfort her. He had been surprised by the news, but it wouldn’t change anything. He’d assure her of that. No matter what physical changes Sole underwent; the memories of a certain synth, all metal, and fiberglass, and plastic, and the damn near perfect woman who somehow fell for him would fill his mind, and he wouldn’t be able to keep from telling her just how much she meant to him every single day.
Life would go on, they would go out on cases together, and help the people of the commonwealth as they have nearly since the day they met, but if anyone decided to utter a comment as to Sole’s physical state, they would certainly be faced with a stern talking to from one sassy synth.
He tried to not mention it too early on, but Nick wouldn't be unable to keep the thought buried forever. One day, when Sole was feeling especially despondent about her current state, he’d remind her that he’d always be there for her. Always. Now he didn’t have to worry so much about that dreadful and inevitable fast-approaching day that he would have to bid Sole goodbye as she passed away from her old age, leaving him alone on this ruined earth. He’d just have to hope that she would be as comforted by the thought as he was.
Piper:
The news would be hard to grasp at first, and even after she understood what Sole was telling her, she wouldn't know what to do. How can you fix something like this? This was her Blue they were talking about! She could do anything, she'd survived the bombs, had found the Institute, she had found her son after so many years, had done all of that, just to now have to go through this too? Hasn't Sole been through enough?!
Piper would be angry, and she'd feel horrible watching Sole go through the changes, as she was forced to witness her love's physical form deteriorate before her in just a couple short months. Piper would try to tell Sole to keep her chin up, remind her who she was, of everything she's been through, how much she's overcome; and if anyone wanted to bug her partner about being a ghoul, Piper would tear them to shreds with her words, not caring if she made a scene as she made the stranger realize what horrible mistake they had made speaking to Sole like that. She'd rip ‘em a new one for sure, and spend a good portion of the day making sure her love was alright after the ordeal. The reporter knew how much words could hurt.
She would be utterly supportive, and even, if Sole was comfortable with it, might see if she’s interested in being a sort of poster child for a campaign to allow ghouls back into Diamond City (and God help anyone who tries to keep Sole out of the city before Piper has a chance to change the law officially.)
Preston:
Preston tried to swallow through the lump in his throat, but to no avail. The Minuteman didn’t cry often, or, he hadn’t since meeting Sole. But this… He couldn’t stop the tears from spilling as he drew her into his embrace. His voice surely would have failed him if he had tried to comfort her with his words, so his arms wrapped tightly around her, her head pressed firmly to his chest. That would have to do for the time being.
“Sole, I can’t tell you how sorry I am.” He managed to whisper to her as his hand came up to stroke gently at her soft hair, trying desperately not to imagine the way it would fall from her head soon enough. He took a deep breath.
“But… I want you to know something. Something really important.” Preston pulled away so he could look into her eyes, hands coming to rest on either of her tear-stained cheeks “This won’t change anything between us. No matter what, you’re still my General, and… and I love you so much. What’s happening to you won’t ever change the way I feel about you.” They’d both be sniveling messes through the night.
But each morning that passed in the coming days, each change Sole underwent, they would take as it came. Preston is a bit of a workaholic, he knows this, and so does Sole, but he’d take a day off if ever her symptoms became unbearable enough. The Minutemen were stronger now than they had been in years, because of her, and so he would try not to feel so guilty about stepping away from his duties to help her.
But he would keep his promise, and, through everything, Sole would remain the General of the Minutemen, with everyone still paying her the respect that the title was due. She would remain the love of his life, he would tell her every day the way that he admired her, tell her how gorgeous he found her, no matter how much her physicality changed, he would remind her of her boundless strength. He just hoped it’d be enough to make her happy, to save her back, in the way she had saved him.
X6-88:
When Sole hesitantly told him about what was happening to her, it had only been after he asked. It was clear to the synth that something was wrong with his partner, but waiting for her to explain on her own had him only becoming more impatient. When she did tell him, he was furious. Certainly not at her, and not necessarily at the Institute’s inability to prevent it from happening, but at the Commonwealth, at the world for doing this to the one he loved. X6 couldn't stand the thought of it, the pain she had to go through. A part of him blamed himself for it. He was meant to protect her, from anything that could possibly harm her, and he had failed. Her changing appearance would be a testament to that failure every day of his life.
In an effort to make it up to her, X6 offered everything he possibly could to his partner, walking her though each and every symptom that came with her change, and ensuring she was utilizing every resource the Institute had at its disposal. Treatments, and skin creams, and supplements, and enough radaway to douse the glowing sea were used in an effort to slow the process of ghoulification, or perhaps even to halt it.
When it inevitably didn’t work, X6 would feel useless, like he had failed in his mission to keep his beloved safe all over again. However, something strange happened to the courser when the one he loves began to physically fall apart in response to the radiation. He didn’t want to leave her. He could stand to look at her, to still love her in the way that he never thought he would be able to, even when she was human. Despite what she had become, she was still his Sole.
After he came to this realization, X6 would take it as a personal mission for himself to ensure that anyone who made Sole feel bad for the way she looked or the way she now spoke would pay dearly for the carelessness of their commentary. X6 would work endlessly to guard his love from insults and dangers alike, from outsiders as well as those within the Institute. That was what he could do for her, what he had to do, if he ever wanted to make it up to Sole. The way he had carelessly let this happen to her... He would never forgive himself, and wonder every day how Sole could, but he will make it up to her. Mark his words.

alec for the ask game!
ahhh thank u for the ask!
This is mostly based on show!Alec as he's got a lot more screen time, but there'll be some book!Alec as well.
general opinion: fall in a hole and die | don’t like them | eh | they’re fine I guess | like them! | love them | actual love of my life
Alec is my absolute favourite character, tied with Magnus.
hotness level: get away from me | meh | neutral | theoretically hot but not my type | pretty hot | gorgeous! | 10/10 would bang
(this is based on aesthetic attraction, not sexual, bc, yk, I'm aroace.)
hogwarts house: gryffindor | slytherin | ravenclaw | hufflepuff
ALEC IS ALL THE HOUSES U CAN'T CHANGE MY MIND— but here's some gratuitous reasoning behind each of them:
gryffindor: Alec's obviously brave, definitely self-sacrificing. Most of the time, he's admittedly less prone to recklessness than most gryffindors, but when around Magnus his recklessness is through the roof (remember the deal with asmodeus??? and edom??? and the whole simon-turn-me-into-a-vampire thing???) so it evens out.
slytherin: He's good at politics. He's willing to do anything to protect those he loves, including not-so-nice things. He's ambitious — he's youngest ever Inquisitor (in the show) and Consul (in the books), after all. I also believe that all the best leaders are slytherins, and Alec's definitely a good leader.
ravenclaw: He's smart, he likes to plan ahead. I think his choice of the bow and arrow is about this, too — mostly it's attributed to wanting to protect his siblings (a hufflepuff trait I'll get to later) but it also puts him above the fray, in a position where he can plan things out, think ahead, etc. My personal headcanon is that he's an absolute nerd, which ties in with this.
hufflepuff: He's loyal (to a fault) — to his family name, his siblings, his ideals. He's fair. He's protective of his siblings (remember the bow & arrows). He's self-sacrificing, which is also kinda a gryffindor trait, but I think it applies here too.
so yeah. Alec is all the Houses.
best quality: his willingness to sacrifice everything for those he loves
Alec will do anything to protect his loved ones. (Deal with Asmodeus, marrying Lydia, etc. Do I really need to list all of the examples of this?)
worst quality: his willingness to sacrifice everything for those he loves
yes, this is also his best quality. It can be both.
Allow me to elaborate: Alec places his own worth far, far below that of anyone he loves — even below that of anyone he doesn't know. (Alec would totally throw himself in front of a demon to protect a random mundane/Downworlder.) This is obviously frustrating, and one could argue that it's unhealthy, too, but it's also admirable — most people have the opposite problem, imo.
ship them with: Magnus
this is pretty obvious skdjfhskjdfhksdhf
side note, though: I very strongly do not ship Alec with anyone but Magnus. Specifically, not Jace — it's too close to incest, and it feels really... off, to me. Alec pined after Jace for years, but he wasn't properly in love with him, and it's really hard for me to see a healthy relationship growing from that? like if you like it, I won't judge, but it's just not my favourite thing.
brotp them with: Clary, Lydia, Lily & Maia.
(shush, I'm definitely allowed to pick more than one)
Clary: the I-hate-you to I-tolerate-you-because-you're-dating-Jace to I-actually-like-you-but-I-will-never-admit-it thing that Clary & Alec have going on is TOP-TIER. Them going out for tacos in the books is my favourite thing skdjfhskdjh
Lydia: we were ROBBED of a proper Lydia & Alec brotp. They could work together so well!!! I love the idea of them running the Institute together — it's normally done by a couple, so it's really a job for two people, and Alec deserves to have somebody who can take over the Institute and let him catch a break. (Also, I NEED Lydia teasing Alec for walking out on her, all the ex-fiancée jokes, Lydia telling Magnus about the "quite magical" scene — the comedic potential is PURE GOLD).
Lily & Maia: Gonna put these two as one brotp (is it a brot3 now?) because tbh it's the three of them together that I really like. It mostly happens in the book (since Lily doesn't exist in the show 🙄), but what we get of them is just... really good. Like, the three of them working together with the Downworlder-Shadowhunter Alliance? or making fun of ppl & bitching about the Clave? or Lily & Maia teaming up to tease Alec about Magnus? SIGN ME UP
needs to stay away from: Camille
There's just... so much bad stuff with Camille. She's incredibly good at making Alec feel insecure — imo, she's the one most capable of hurting Alec, be it book (page 511, anyone? ik Magnus & Alec could both have dealt with it better, but it was mostly HER FAULT) or show ("40 years from male pattern baldness" or w/e she said).
misc. thoughts: I hc him as grey- or demiromantic, which is possibly just projecting but here's my reasoning (combining hc and canon): Alec's crush on Jace was, imo, because he was the only guy Alec really knew — I don't think he was ever really interested in anyone else. He's never hooked up with anyone, although both Jace and Izzy have. He doesn't get why Jace is doing all this insane stuff for Clary, because he just met her — he only starts doing insane stuff for Magnus after they've known each other for a while. I also hc him as asexual, but that's definitely just me projecting 😂😂😂 (also, read Let in the Rain by @cuubism for more about this... and, if you'll excuse the self-promo, learning to love by yours truly.)
anyway thank u again for the ask!!!

CW: character death and Tony lack of self esteem and self preservation. Ignore if not ur jam
(¬_¬) psssttt angst time. post-Endgame Steve accidentally ending up in 616 and meets that Steve and Tony. And after failing to wrestling ANY info about why this Steve is here, 616-Tony figures out other him is dead and this Steve is taking it badly and this has Tony trying to make MCU-Steve feel better by saying something like well that me probably deserved it??? All us Tonys do (This does not make MCU feel better. Nor does it make 616-Steve very happy)
ANON MY HEART! IT CANNOT TAKE THIS! (she says as she mulls over this prompt for DAYS and even snaps out of half-sleep to write a little bit of it)...
but like, imagine it. Somehow or other Steve ends up in 616!universe—a spell of Dr. Strange’s gone awry, maybe, or a clusterfuck while returning the time stone—and he’s ended up in 616!Tony’s workshop. It’s late, he’s confused and disoriented and grieving, and he’s already making for the ratty sofa (thinking fixing this is a problem for future steve) when he realizes there’s already someone stretched out on it.
not someone. someones. together. wrapped around each other like koalas on a branch. one of them is Tony—no amount of darkness can smother that blue light, or so Steve once thought—and his heart is breaking all over again, when the person wrapped around him, partially hidden behind Tony’s shoulder, raises his head, eyes alert, and Steve realizes it’s him. Himself. Steve Rogers, from another dimension. Universe. Tony would know which.
Rogers snaps to attention and is standing and interrogating Steve and he manages to not wake Tony up the whole time. This Tony sleeps like a rock, or maybe that’s just because of Rogers, and Steve is spiraling over the fact that maybe that’s all it would have taken to make things right—better—in his own universe. He could have been brave, he could have been strong enough for both of them to walk up to Tony and ask him out, kiss him, something. Instead he lied, and hid, and ran. He’s still running. Meanwhile this taller, broader, stronger version of him chose happiness, because what else could life with Tony Stark be?
Rogers is grilling him in the semi-darkness, asking questions Steve isn’t sure he’s allowed to answer (the rules of the time heist are still fresh in his mind), but the questioning stops when Steve starts crying and asks him how long they’ve been together. If it was enough to stop their fight, and everything that happened after.
Rogers tells him they were too late to stop the Civil War, but they pulled their heads out of their asses eventually. When Steve mentions Thanos, Rogers’ face flashes recognition but not the same level of grief Steve feels like a railroad spike lodged in his heart. Whatever else has happened in this universe, Thanos hasn’t, and this Steve and Tony are together. Steve can’t stop thinking this is all just a cruel nightmare disguised as a tear in the fabric of the universe.
And then the lights come on at a dim 30%, revealing a Tony Stark who is whole and alive and very, very different from the man Steve knew. While Steve stands there poleaxed in crisis mode (Stark mentions “blue screening” which is a reference Steve does get and he hurts all the more deeply because of it), Rogers fills Stark in on what he knows about Steve, when he showed up, what they’ve talked about. When Rogers mentions Steve’s question about their relationship, something brightens in Stark’s blue eyes.
“Your universe’s Tony Stark is dead, isn’t he?”
Steve makes a sound that is something between a sob and a laugh. Of course Stark would figure it out with the least amount of information at hand. In response, Rogers grabs Stark’s hand. He’s gone deathly pale, as if the very thought of losing Tony is too terrible to imagine, and he shares a look with Stark that speaks volumes, because Stark looks just as grim. Something happened there, Steve thinks—one or the other of them died, or came close enough to put the fear of it in them for life.
And then Stark opens his mouth and says “If your universe’s Tony Stark was anything like me, and categorically speaking he probably was, he probably deserved it.”
Steve’s gut plummets because Jesus Christ, does Tony Stark not have any sense of self-worth, in any universe?? Apparently he and Rogers are the same wavelength—shocker—because he rounds on Stark with “Tony, we’ve talked about this” while Stark waves him off with a scoff.
“This isn’t low self-esteem talking, Steve—you know my track record when it comes to near death experiences. How many would you say have been the inevitable result of my own actions?”
Rogers’s face flattens. His lips and eyes narrow. “Too many.”
“Right. So am I right, or am I right?” Stark asks Steve, but Steve’s tongue has cleaved to the roof of his mouth. Of course, Tony Stark was always able to talk enough for three people, even if two of them were, technically, the same person. “He probably went down thinking he was the only one who could fix whatever was broken, walked right into a coffin he made himself, literally if not figuratively.”
Steve swallows. “Actually,” he says, thinking of the gauntlet fused to Tony’s armor, which had fused to his arm, “it was something like that.”
Steve’s eyes laser in on their joined hands, tearing up when he sees Stark squeeze Rogers’s fingers. A small touch of reassurance, stabilizing and loving, to remind Rogers he was still here. Still breathing. Still alive. The look Rogers sends Stark is so warm, so full of things Steve doesn’t have the strength to name, it threatens to shove him deeper into an already devastating downward spiral.
So of course Stark chooses that moment to look at Steve and be his usual smart self, because some things are truly universal, and Tony Stark’s intelligence and ability to read people is one of them.
“You never told him?”
Steve shakes his head. Rogers makes a small, hapless sound, like the thought of never telling Tony Stark his feelings, being with him, is too sad to consider. It is—Steve can honestly say it is, and of the two of them, Steve is the only one who has to live with the consequences of the choice he made (and made, over and over again) for the rest of his life.
Whatever nonverbal communication passes between the two men, Steve doesn’t see it. He’s too busy staring through blurry eyes at the floor of the workshop, wishing this nightmare would end so he could go back to his own universe and not have to be confronted with the life he wishes he could have had with a man who was now dead.
He’s so wrapped up in his own misery, he doesn’t register movement until two socked feet stop in front of his shoes and he looks up to see Stark standing there, eyebrows knitted in concern and wonder and, worst of all, understanding. Like he’s been where Steve is, lost and bereft, irreparably heartbroken. Did this Tony lose his Steve? How? Rogers is standing right there. But Steve has seen Stark’s expression in his own mirrored reflection every morning for the past year, and while he was never on par with Tony Stark’s genius, he could read people too. Stark knows this kind of loss as deeply as Steve does now.
“We’ll get you home first thing,” Stark tells him, but it sounds like a line to quell Steve’s nerves, which it does, and a good thing too, because Stark is moving into Steve’s personal space as he says it, breathing his air and meeting his gaze straight on. “Nod if you understand?”
Of course Stark would be considerate of Steve’s inability to speak when they’re this close. Steve nods.
“Can I give you something, Steve? If I know myself—and I do, really, even if my judgement isn’t always perfectly sound—your Tony would have wanted to give it to you himself. But life wasn’t fair to either of you, I think. Not that it ever is, but, I’d like to correct the imbalance in some small way. Is that okay?”
Steve nods before he realizes he’s doing it, like his body knows what’s coming before his brain does and he’s helpless to resist.
Logically, Steve knows this isn’t his Tony. Not because his Tony is dead—although that does play a major factor—but because this one is so unlike him. This Tony, Stark—he’s too tall, Steve’s mind supplies, too young, too broad; his hair is too dark and his eyes are too blue.
But Steve Rogers would recognize Tony Stark anywhere, in any dimension. In any universe. And if it means getting to give Tony everything he was too scared to offer him in life, even for a second—let alone getting some of it back—then so much the better.
Stark pulls him in for a kiss like it’s second nature to him. Muscle memory. But to Steve, it’s a shock to the system. Every hair on his body is standing on end. He gasps against Stark’s lips and suddenly fingers are buried in his hair, tugging him closer before he can stop and ask them if this is okay, if they know what this means to Steve, if he can actually have this.
A sob sticks in his throat as he finally musters the wherewithal to kiss back. Stark takes it handily, licking a hot, wet line across Steve’s bottom lip before Steve slants left and kisses him hard and deep, wrapping his arms around the similar-yet-unfamiliar frame. Kissing Stark, Steve realizes, makes him happy, in a profoundly genuine, comforting way he hasn’t felt in years, and the only way to express it is to wrap a hand around the back of Stark’s neck, just below the nape, and suck the moan right out of his mouth. Even if that happiness is soured by his implacable grief, he can shove that into the back of his mind long enough to luxuriate in the feeling of Stark’s tongue brushing against his soft palate, those hard, scarred workman’s hands sliding up under his shirt to splay soft across his lower back. He feels safe, and happy, and loved.
And if he imagines his Tony in Stark’s place, no one has to know. And if they did, Steve doesn’t think either of them would judge him for it. His instinct is confirmed when Steve pulls away long enough—breathing hard, just like Stark, who looks for all the world like someone who just fell off a Tilt-a-Whirl ass-backwards—to look over Stark’s shoulder at Rogers, who’s staring hungrily at both of them like he doesn’t know whether to pounce or stay put. The tent in his sweatpants speaks for itself.
Before Steve can piece two coherent thoughts together—like does he feel weird about an alternative universe version of himself being turned on by this? or does he need to stop kissing Stark before this gets out of hand? how is he supposed to get home? how is he supposed to live without this now that he’s had a taste of it?—Stark is pulling him back in for a kiss that tunes out all the noise and warms him through, tucked in the safe, quiet, happy circle of Stark’s arms.
Steve holds the man and the moment as close as he can, as long as he can, and he’s grateful, for the first time in his life after coming out of the ice, for the silence.

sorting the owl house characters into hogwarts houses, because im cringe
luz - ravenclaw
she’s creative and clever and is always searching to learn new things and loves learning just for the sake of learning. shes incredibly witty and quick thinking and open-minded. she’s constantly finding clever, creative, and original ways to solve her problems. she hardly blinked when given the opportunity to learn magic, and only continued to show an intense amount of intelligence and appreciation for academics. shes very resourceful as a human learning magic, finding a entirely new form of magic when it was apparent that she couldnt do it the traditional way. she’s very aspiring, wanting to be a witch and an author since she was very young. she’s very logical about a lot of things, like how it doesnt make sense to not allow witches to study multiple tracks or that people were imprisoned just for being themselves. she’s highly encouraging of individuality which is a lesser known trait of ravenclaw but very important. she can be a perfectionist at times and tended to avoid social interaction so she could persue her creativity. she’s outspoken, an overthinker, and very competitive. i think a lot of people might say she’s a hufflepuff, as she’s loyal and kind and hardworking, but luz values learning and creativity above any of those other things— this is evident, when she makes the decision to stay in the boiling isles to learn magic rather than go home to her mom, thus putting knowledge and creativity over her own family.
eda - gryffindor
she’s not afraid to stand up for herself and others and will never back down from a challenge. she would rather die as herself than live unauthentically. she’s very passionate and empathetic. she’s rebellious against rules that dont make sense to her and cares intensely for her friends and family. she has a strong internal moral code that she sticks to intensely, never straying from it. in the very first episode, she breaks into the conformatorium just to get a paper crown thats important to king. she let raine break up with her because she didnt want to burden them with her curse. she forfeited the match with lily because she knew her sister wanted to be in the emperor’s coven more than she ever did. she’s sacrifices herself for luz & king over and over again because she cares so deeply for her.
king - slytherin
he’s self-centered, smart, arrogant, and highly ambitious. he would do anything to achieve his goals— which was at first reclaiming his throne as the king of demons, and then turned into finding out where he came from. he tried to use luz as a means to reach his goals when he became an author, nearly sacrificing their friendship. he became incredibly loyal to luz after that in the same way he’s loyal to eda, the one who raised him.
(other characters under the cut)
lily - slytherin
it was between this and ravenclaw, because she’s incredibly intelligent and does seem to enjoy learning and has a great mind, she’s also incredibly ambitious and prideful. the deciding factor was that she cursed eda just to reach her own goals. she’s still loyal to eda even when working for belos, which says a lot to how she’s loyal to only a select few people. to her, the ends justify the means (making amity cheat to appear like the better teacher, cursing eda to win the duel, kidnapping luz to get belos to cure eda, losing her magic to help eda)
amity - gryffindor
this one was hard, i swapped between slytherin and gryffindor a lot for her. she’s ambitious and intelligent, but also not afraid to do whats right even if means breaking the rules. she’s self-sacrificing and empathetic and prideful. she ended her friendship with boscha to help luz and willow win. she didnt like luz at first because luz kept cheating and messing up her life, which means she has a strong moral code against cheating and bullies. she’s rebellious in small ways at first but once she started realizing how terrible her parents and belos really were, she pulled away extremely quickly.
willow - slytherin
not surprising, if you take into her account of self-preservation and bending of the rules to suit her ambitions. in the first episode she agrees to cheating just to get ahead in school because she wants to make her parents proud, and in the end she switches to the plants track so to her the ends justify the means. she pulled out of the grudgby game when luz pushed her & gus too far, a perfect example of that self preservation. she has a sense of loyalty that extends to very specific people but she always makes sure those people are taken care of. her parents, luz, gus, and eventually king, eda, and amity, too. she wouldn’t die for them, but she would kill for them.
gus - hufflepuff
sure, he has the ravenclaw curiousity and thirst for knowledge, but he’s very kind, hard working, has a strong inner sense of justice and fairness, and is tolerant of others. he helps mattholomule even if he’d been a jerk before because it was unfair if he didnt. he helps luz break into belos’s castle to find a cure for eda, lets luz borrow his library card to see amity, and hated it when mattholomule tried to lie about the human objects. he knows what it feels like to be left behind and underestimated, so he makes an effort to be kind to others who seem to be in the same boat. he’s very young but already so accomplished which is a testament to how hard he works.
hunter - hufflepuff
this one was HARD. it was either slytherin or this, and a deciding factor for this is the fact that he is self-sacrificing. he sacrifices a lot for other people, even if it doesnt seem like it. in the palisman episode, he sacrifices the palismen getting away despite knowing he would be punished for returning empty-handed. in eclipse lake, he leaves to find the titans blood for belos when he simply could have stayed in the castle and been safe. he’s viciously hard-working, dedicated, and loyal to his family. he lets people’s actions speak for them. he doesn’t immediately judge luz for using wild magic and actually seems interested in it before remembering to be loyal to belos. he’s patient, too, as seen by his interactions with luz. he gets frustrated, sure, but he still works with her. he’s modest about his rank and title, preferring to not flaunt it more than needed. but he does take pride in it. he’s kind in his own way, specifically to belos and lil rascal, but you can see it in his interactions with amity & luz, too. with amity, he empathizes with her and gives her advice that he thinks is true, and offers to dig a grave for her too when its apparent that neither of them are getting any titans blood. with luz, he gives up the palismen and protects her from kikimora. that boy is a hufflepuff for sure.
raine - gryffindor
oh buddy theyre the biggest gryffindor ever. they extremely, extremely brave. they have terrible stage fright and anxiety but they still became head bard, and they still ran an underground resistance group, and they still gave everything up just to help eda. they have a strong sense of whats right and whats wrong and incredible amount of passion, empathy, and integrity. they have a great sense of pride— “How did someone with stage fright end up as Head Witch?” “I’m just that good.”— and are very selfless. they stopped eda from sacrificing herself because they knew her kids needed her more, they sacrificed themselves in eda’s place and gave up everything they had just so eda wouldnt have to.
camila - hufflepuff
she’s extraordinarily kind, even when she’s terrified. she’s accepting and open-minded and hardworking, making sure to show luz that she loves her creativity but still wants to make sure luz can do well in school and can make friends. sometimes you can do something you think is kind but isnt really. she’s also a single mother doing her best to give her daughter a good life, which is a credit to how hard she works and how dedicated she is to her daughter. she even took the day off of work to drive luz to camp because she knew luz was anxious and wanted to reassure her. she’s patient with luz, and even when faced with the scariest moment of her life, she’s still thinking of how luz feels rather than her own fears and anger. she’s very much a hufflepuff in the way that she’s quiet and unassuming but fiercely protective of her family.
vee - slytherin
she’s opportunistic and has a sense of self-preservation. she’d rather save her own skin than do that right thing. she’s cunning, having pretended to be camila’s daughter just to have a place for herself. this isnt a bad thing at all, though. she’s also loyal to camila, who she sees as her family, and even got into a fight with luz over how she treated camila. she still listened to luz and let luz help her so that vee could remain living as luz. she doesnt feel guilty about valuing herself ahead of luz.
belos - ravenclaw
honestly? not a hard decision. he’s smart, sure, but he’s not people-smart. he didnt think lilith would betray him after he admitted to lying about healing eda. he doesnt understand loyalty, not even to those close to him. he’s rational and logical rather than emotional. if the theory that he is philip wittebane is to be believed, then its obvious he has an appreciation for learning and knowledge. belos distinctly reminds me of lockhart, or even quirrell, who were also in ravenclaw. he’s got an arrogance to him that blinds him, believing himself to be the smartest and strongest witch on the isles and thus underestimating others, which will only lead him to ruin.

The soulmate switch
This was requested by @xxamixisxx they requested either 5 or 6 for the soulmate prompts with whichever clone of my choosing. You didn't specify which list so I went with list 2 and prompt number 5 with my fav, Captain Rex. I hope that you like it.
You wake up feeling weird, you don't have any idea why. You know that you have to get up to help train the younglings in the Jedi temple. You reach out to the force, but find nothing, you internally panic. The force is gone! The force can't just disappear, something's wrong.
You sit up quickly and rub your eyes. When you open them you're even more surprised, this isn't your room. You look down at your body and gasp, this isn't your body!
You realize that you must be in the body of your soulmate, On a random day, soulmates switch bodies for the day. It's their one chance to give each other clues about one another.
It looks like today's your day, you look down at your soulmate's body. It's very muscular and skinny, with tan skin and scars. There's a pretty big one on his chest, your soulmate sleeps shirtless.
You look around and realize that you're in clone barracks, judging by the one other clone there. He has a goatee and a five tattoo on the corner of his forehead.
"Hey, you okay Rex." You shake your head at him, and he raises an eyebrow. So your soulmate's name is Rex, that's interesting to say the least.
"I'm not Rex." You wince at the sound of your voice, a man's voice. The clone looks at you and laughs.
"Ha, nice joke Captain." You sigh, this clone thinks that it's a practical joke.
"I'm not joking, it's a soulmate switch." The clones eyes go wide at that and he walks over to you.
"Wait, you're Rex's soulmate?" You nod and he sighs, you look at him and he smiles kindly at you. He holds his hand out to you
"Well, I'm Fives. I'm sorry that I didn't believe you, I didn't think about the soulmate switch at the moment." You take his hand and shake it, tossing him a small smile.
"It's fine, I understand. I couldn't really believe it myself. I'm Jedi Knight y/n l/n."
"Well it's very nice to meet you y/n. may I ask what my brother is probably getting up to in your place." Your eyes go wide at that, your soulmate, Rex is probably getting into some trouble with the Jedi.
"I'm a Jedi, I was supposed to be training younglings at the temple." You tell him, you hope that Rex is the kind of person to tell someone about your predicament instead of getting himself into trouble. Fives must see the worry look on your... Well Rex's face.
"Rex is smart enough to tell someone of your situation, we're on our way to Coruscant right now, I'm sorry to say that we won't get there until tomorrow." You smile and nod, you wonder how he's fairing at the temple. hopefully good, the council is usually good with soulmate switches.
You walk into the refresher quickly to awkwardly use the washroom, and when you're about to leave you finally see your soulmate's face in the mirror. He has pretty honey brown eyes and blond hair, you notice a little scar on his chin.
In your opinion he looks very handsome, but you can't wait to meet him. You walk back out and Fives show's you where Rex's blacks and armor are.
"You can get dressed, his armor is over here." You stand there and stare at his armor, you have no idea how to put it on.
"Umm, how am I supposed to..." Fives looks back at you and internally facepalm's.
"I'm sorry, I forgot that you don't know how." After Fives awkwardly helps you find Rex's blacks and get his armor on, you're all ready to go. You notice how heavy his armor is, it ways on you and you wonder how he can wear this all day, every day.
You grab Rex's helmet and put it on, walking out of the barracks with Fives. You feel weird with all the clones around you, you can't wait to get back to the temple. Though if Rex messes with your lightsaber in any way he will get hurt, not just by the lightsaber.
Wearing a helmet is... Different. It's weird, knowing that you could make any funny or rude face's at people and they will never know.
"Hey Rex, how the heck did you sleep in so late, Vod!" You turn and see a trooper with a bald head and lines tattooed on his face and head.
"Uh." Fives puts a hand on your shoulder. You take Rex's helmet off
"This isn't Rex, Hardcase. It's his soulmate switch day." The Trooper, now known as Hardcase, looks between the two of you until a smile erupt's on his face.
"So this is Rex's soulmate. Hi, I'm Hardcase." Hardcase puts his hand out and you grab it, giving him a handshake.
"Hey Hardcase, it's nice to meet you too."
"This is so cool, what's it like being in someone else's body?" You look at him, he sounds excited, really excited.
"Uhh, really really weird. Especially since I'm usually a girl. And a Jedi."
"Ooh, that must suck. I wonder how Rex is doing in your body?" You chuckle, you can only guess what some of the Jedi younglings are doing to him. They always have fun during soulmate switch days, especially when the soulmate isn't a Jedi.
"Don't worry, the Jedi will take care of him." Hardcase nods, then dramatically facepalm's.
"I'm sorry, I never asked your name." You smile at him, you like both these trooper's.
"It's okay Hardcase, I'm Jedi Knight y/n l/n." Hardcase and Fives smile at you.
"You must be hungry y/n, you want to go to the mess and grab some food." Before you can answer your stomach grumbles loudly, and you feel the heat rise to your...er Rex's cheeks.
"Looks like I was right, come on. You too Hardcase." Fives grabs both of you by the arms and pulls you to the mess hall, there's not many troopers since you slept in but still a few.
You all grab your food and sit down across from two other clones, one has the Republic symbol on his forehead while the other has a shaved head with lightning, and a tattoo that says " a good droid is a dead one."
"Kix, Jesse! Meet Rex's soulmate, it's their switch day." Both the troopers look at you surprised, then offer you a kind smiling.
"Well, it's nice to meet a Vods soulmate. I'm Jesse, and that's Kix." Jesse says, as he points to the clone with the lightning tattoos.
"It's very nice to meet you Jesse, I'm Jedi Knight y/n l/n."
"Ooh, our brothers got a Jedi for a soulmate. That's awesome!" Jesse exclaims and you laugh as Kix elbows him in the side.
"Jesse, what does it matter if shes a Jedi." You laugh at them, taking a dip of your water as Jesse glares at Kix.
"Well, it doesn't matter. But it's still really cool, would you mind teaching us how to use a lightsaber?" Jesse asks you enthusiastic, and you almost spit out your water. You smile at him, and Fives Hardcase and Jesse all look excitedly at you.
"Maybe, if my soulmate says it okay." They lose there smiles after that and Jesse groans.
"Aww, Rex'll never say yes." You smile, at least your soulmate might be sensible. You all finish eating, leaving the mess Fives show's you around the ship which you know now is the Resolute.
You smile when you hear that, this is your best friend, Anakin's ship. You sigh when you realize that you're going to have to tell him what happened, he'll never let you live it down.
At least it's not as bad as his soulmate switch, he had to be Senator Amidala for the day, including having a Senate meeting. You laugh at the memory, Anakin and politics don't mix. At all.
You see Anakin when Fives takes you up to the bridge, Fives calls him over.
"General Skywalker!" Anakin turns, smiling as usual. You see his Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, at his side.
"Rex, Fives. Do you two need something." You sigh as Fives walks up beside you, putting a hand on Rex's shoulder.
"This isn't Rex, sir. This is..." You don't let him continue as you cross your arms.
"Hey Anakin, how are you." Anakin looks at you for about thirty seconds before you see realization dawn on his face.
"Wha... Y/n!" He bursts out laughing, he can't believe that you finally had your soulmate switch, and with his Captain.
"Yeah yeah yeah, I know. Laugh it up wise guy." Anakin can hardly breathe, he's laughing so hard. Ahsoka is chuckling beside him.
"I'm sorry, y/n. But I just can't believe it, I never thought that Captain Rex would be your soulmate." You raise an eyebrow at him, he just won't quit.
"Sorry, I'm done. So Rex is on Coruscant right now, I wonder what he's doing?"
"So do I, I hope that he's not getting himself into any trouble." You tell Anakin, you're pretty sure he isn't. The council will take care of him, and so will all the other Jedi.
"You can hang with me and the troopers, it's to bad we won't get to Coruscant today." You shake your head, you think it'd be just too weird seeing your own body.
For the rest of the day you hang out with Anakin, getting to know Rex's brothers. You like them, they're very kind to you and they've told you all about Rex.
It's time to sleep now and you find it weird, sleeping in a room filled with men. Anakin offered you your own room, but you thought that Rex would feel better waking up to his brothers after being away from them.
You smile, thinking about meeting your soulmate. You can't wait, he sounds like such a brave person. You fall asleep, dreaming of your soulmate.
×××
You wake up, back in your own room. You look down and feel relief, your in your own body. You get up, finding your saber in a completely different place than you left it. You laugh, you wonder what your soulmate was doing with it. You get dressed and leave your room.
You see younglings running around the halls and you wave to them, they laugh and wave back. You can tell that they had played with Rex. You go about your day, hearing Jedi around you snickering about Rex.
You teach the younglings saber techniques, waiting for Rex to arrive so that the two of you can meet. You wonder if they might have run into trouble.
You feel your worry increase as it approaches evening, no sign of your soulmate anywhere. As you head to your room you wonder if something happened to them, or maybe your soulmate found that he didn't want to meet you. You feel tears prick your eyes of your soulmate not wanting you, you've always dreamed of meeting your soulmate and now it might not happen.
You get changed into your sleep clothes and lay in your bed, ready to turn in early when you hear a knock at your door. You stand up, figuring that it's a younglings who needs help or something. To your surprise you open the door to Rex, it's weird looking at him in this perspectives instead of a mirror.
"Hello, it's nice to actually meet you, miss y/n." You blink your eyes, trying to make sure that you aren't imagining him. He just stares at you.
"I... I'm sorry that I came so late." He chuckle's quietly, rubbing the back of his neck.
"We had a little trouble with Separatists, but nothing we couldn't handle. You don't know how happy I am to finally meet you, the younglings told me so many nice things about you yesterday." You nod as he stares at you sweetly, you're so glad that he came.
"It's very nice to meet you too, Rex." He stares at you again, you can see that his eyes are filled with love for you. He walks up close to you and leans in, brushing his lips against yours in a quick kiss.
You grab his arm when he goes to pull away, bringing him back in for a breath taking kiss. You keep kissing him for about 30 seconds before you hear someone clear their throat. You turn around, and to your and Rex's horror, Grand Master Yoda is standing right behind you guys.
"Found your soulmate, I see. Get a room, you should." You look at him, feeling heat rise to your face in embarrassment.
"I'm so sorry Master Yoda." Rex nods, agreeing with you. The poor guy has embarrassment radiating off him through the force.
"Sorry, General Yoda. It won't happen again, sir."
"Fine, it is. Happy for you and y/n, I am." You nod, you feel mortified that you were found making out by the grandmaster.
"Thanks Master Yoda." You grab Rex's arm and pull him into your room, hearing Master Yoda chuckling at you as you close the door. You can feel him amusement in the force. You turn to Rex.
"I'm so sorry that he found us, I should have pulled you into the room before." Rex chuckles, pulling you close and kissing your forehead.
"It's fine cyare, it's not as bad as what happened yesterday. Those younglings would be good at questioning people, they somehow got me to answer every question they asked." You laugh.
"They're like that sometimes, you get used to it." Rex nods, smiling at you and stroking your cheek.
"I love you." You raise an eyebrow at him.
"You don't even know me Rex, but I love you too." You don't tell him that you also love him already, but you will.
"I know, but I already feel so much love for you. I do want to get to know you though." You kiss his lips softly, giving him more of a sweet kiss.
"So do I Rex." You can't wait to get to know your soulmate, you already feel a deep love for him. You know that this is going to work out, and you can't wait to see what happens next.

Wrong Number - Tom Holland (College AU)
Pairing: Tom x Reader
This is my entry for @hollandsrecs‘ 1k fic bingo x
* * * *
Ever since Tom was a little kid, he loved school and he loved studying. He would often be seen at home or at school holding a book. As he grew older, he would often be the butt of the joke and he would always get bullied simply because he loved to study. Tom didn't just love to study. He loved to learn new things and he'd do anything and everything to learn new things. He learned in an old fashioned way, though.
His best mate, Harrison, was the complete opposite. Tom's parents were shocked that Tom became friends with someone who wasn't like him. But they figured opposites really do attract because Tom and Harrison were each other's ride or die and they loved it. Harrison was like a son to them.
Tom and Harrison have been through a lot together and they were glad to know that they got into the same university. Harrison was studying to be a fashion designer because he loved clothes. He wanted to break the stereotype that fashion design was only for ladies and gays. If he loved clothes, loved designing different clothes everyday, and had the talent for it, then he would show it to the world.
"Fuck the people who try to tear me down, mate. It's honest work and I'm not hurting anyone. Fashion is a form of expression and I express through fashion and I deserve to show it everyone." Harrison said to Tom once. Tom thought Harrison was brave and bold for being one of the great ones to break the stereotype and he admired Harrison for that.
While Harrison was studying fashion design, Tom was studying dentistry. He later realized that dentistry wasn't the one for him, so he shifted to interior design. After all, he had background in carpentry because of his grandfather.
One night, Tom was studying when he got a text message from an unknown number.

Tom couldn't believe this 'Y/N' person. He was completely hurt and offended that's why he stood up to Y/N. To his surprise, Y/N didn't seem fazed at all judging by the reply that was sent.

"Fuckin' Harrison!" Tom hissed under his breath. He immediately texted Harrison to ask for an explanation as to why he was the fun British guy.

Tom's jaw dropped at his best friend's reply. But then he looked back and thought that maybe Harrison was right. "Scratch that, he IS right." Tom sighed to himself. "Let loose, Tom!"
A few minutes later, Harrison entered the dorm he shared with Tom and called out, "So are you coming?"
Tom left his room and looked at Harrison before nodding, "Yes. I'll finally let loose."
"Good!" Harrison cheered. "Go take a shower or something and I'll pick out your outfit."
It was times like this when Tom was grateful to have a best friend that was some sort of fashion expert. He didn’t have time to pay attention to how he was dressed and having Harrison pick out his clothes for him was very helpful.
Tom didn't say anything, but he nodded. Tom would have the same routine everyday and he didn't have any amount of 'fun' in his body so at this point, his body was on autopilot. After taking a shower, he looked at his bed and saw the outfit Harrison laid out for him.
On his bed were black chino pants, a white and dark grey striped long sleeved shirt, a gingerbread colored blouson jacket and black foot socks. Tom didn't even know how in the world Harrison could make a decent outfit for him in that closet of his.
Tom got dressed and went to the little kitchen where Harrison was. "I'm ready to go." Tom announced. Harrison turned around and nodded at Tom's overall look. "You'd be a head turner there, mate. I assure you." Harrison smirked. "Fuck, I'm good at this shit."
Tom playfully rolled his eyes, "Everyone knows that, Haz. Now, let's get this over with!"
A few minutes later, they arrived at the party. Harrison was immediately welcomed and Tom was pushed aside by random people. He didn't know that his best mate was popular. 'To be fair,' He thought. 'I don't go out at all.'
While Harrison was being whisked away by the crowd, Harrison yelled, "Tom, call me if you need anything!" With that, Harrison was swallowed by the crowd. Tom had never been to a party before. In fact, the last party he's been to was his little cousin's 8th birthday party where he played 'pin the tail on the donkey' and 'egg and spoon race'. He actually didn't want to do it because he was 15 years old at that time, but his mother and aunt insisted that he should because they said "it would mean a lot to your cousin if you played, Thomas".
"So, you're the one I texted earlier! I'm glad you came." A voice said. He turned around and saw the most beautiful girl he's ever met. "I'm Y/N Y/L/N! I'm studying fashion design like Harrison. He mentioned that you were in dentistry! You must be really smart." Y/N rambled.
"Oh uh, I shifted to interior design." Tom said. "I realized I didn't fit in dentistry as I thought I would."
"Why'd you choose interior design?" She asked.
"Because I have background in carpentry." Tom answered. "Anyway, how'd you know it was me you texted? I could be anyone."
"I heard Harrison yell at you about calling if you needed him and I looked at the direction he was looking at and he was looking at you. Plus, I've never seen you before. You're one of the new people that came in tonight."
"I could be one of them." Tom shrugged.
"Yes, but I've already met all of those new people except for you, Tom Holland." Y/N winked. "Anyway, do you want a drink?"
"I, uh, I don't really know what to drink." Tom said as he followed her to the kitchen. Y/N wordlessly handed him a beer. "You see, I don't drink often and-"
"Tom."
"Yeah?"
"Just drink the beer." Y/N said as she drank her drink of choice. Tom did what he was told and nodded, "It doesn't taste so bad."
"Yeah, it's alright." She chuckled. "You know, Harrison never mentioned that you were cute!"
Tom blushed and looked down, "Thank you. He, uh, he actually picked out my outfit tonight. I didn't even know I had this in my closet." He chuckled nervously. He's never spent time with a girl for this long. Usually the girls would leave after finding out that he loved to study and read instead of going out. He's never been on a date since high school and his ex-girlfriend was his first girlfriend. That was years ago.
"Harrison has good taste." Y/N nodded, impressed at Harrison's work. "He always does."
"Do you like Harrison or something? I can get you guys together." Tom offered, but Y/N shook her head.
"Harrison doesn't like getting in relationships. Besides, everything between us is platonic. But I did sleep with him once."
Tom's eyes widened in shock.
"After that, we went on one date but it didn't work out because we both see each other platonically. So no, you can't get me and Harrison together." Y/N smiled. "What about you? Do you like anyone that I can set you up with? Or are you in a relationship?"
"Neither."
Y/N nodded, "Yeah, you need to let loose."
With that, she and Tom began drinking some more and they participated in drinking games like beer pong and spin the bottle. Harrison was proud of his best mate as he watched at the sidelines. He noticed that Tom was a touchy feely drunk and he knew that Y/N was the same.
"Oh shit." Harrison said to himself as he saw two of his friends going up the stairs to occupy one of the rooms. "This'll be fun." He snickered before taking a sip of his beer.
Y/N and Tom did occupy one of the rooms and they made out. They clumsily moved to the bed without breaking apart and they continued to make out. Y/N pulled away to take off her top and Tom stopped her. "Oh my god, wait!" Tom said. He was kind of sober already. He shook his head, "I-I'm not ready for that yet. It's nothing personal. It's just that-"
"I'll suck your dick, then."
"What?!"
"I'll suck your dick."
Tom looked away from her to think about it for a second. "You're letting loose, dumbass!" His conscience told him. Tom shrugged, "Sure."
Y/N smirked and unbuttoned his pants and pulled it down along with his boxers. Her mouth watered at the sight as she got down on her knees and began to lick the tip.
"Fuck." He whimpered.
"Honey, relax." Y/N said. "It'll be fun, I swear."
It was fun indeed.
-
"Okay I'll repeat what you said." Harrison said as Tom groaned. "Y/N texted you because she thought your number was Stacy's number. Then we went to the party THAT SAME FUCKING NIGHT and both of you went upstairs. I can confirm that I've seen both of you go to one of the rooms."
Tom nodded.
"Then you made out and when she was about to take her clothes off, you stop her and she offered you a blowjob. You thought about it for a second and agreed. Am I right?" Harrison asked.
"Yes."
"And then you're telling me this a few days later because-?"
"Because she hasn't texted me, Haz! I thought she'd have the decency to do that." Tom frowned. Harrison pursed his lips, "It doesn't work like that, Tom."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, when strangers fuck each other's brains out, they don't text each other after that now, do they? Of course not. They're called one night stands for a reason. And I know you two didn't sleep together but it's kind of the same thing." Harrison shrugged.
"Yeah, but she said she slept with you and you guys still talk." Tom pouted.
"Yes, that's because we were already friends when we slept together." Harrison explained. "It's different."
Tom stayed silent. Harrison could see that he really liked Y/N and said, "Since you like her so much and you're so upset, just text her."
"You think I should?" Tom asked innocently.
"Yes. Now, do it. I have a project to do and it's due tomorrow and I've only finished one-fourth of it." Harrison chuckled and went to his room. Tom gulped and pulled out his phone. He opened his message with Y/N and edited her contact seeing as it was still set as 'unknown number'.
He sighed and typed a few texts but didn't send them. Eventually, he settled for a simple hello.

He couldn't believe her confidence. It actually turned him on and it gave him butterflies in his stomach at the same time. He didn't even know it was possible.

Tom smiled to himself and locked his phone before he yelled, "Haz, I have a date on Saturday!"
He then heard footsteps and turned to see Harrison with a big grin on his face, "You know what this means."
"No, I don't." Tom said. He was kind of scared of Harrison was about to say.
"We need to buy you new shirts and stuff, mate. Dress to impress." Harrison said.
"I thought we were supposed to dress for ourselves and not for anyone else?" Tom asked. Life was confusing.
"In this context, no. It's a first date, Thomas." Harrison said with his arms crossed. "First dates are for making good impressions until both of you slowly show each other's true colors and it's up to both of you if you like it or not."
"I guess you're right."
"Of course, I'm right. I can't recall a time when I was wrong."
"Shut up, Haz."
"Love you too, Tom."

Okay so I'm thinking and here are the Sanders sides (and some shorts characters) in the hogwarts house I think they go in and why. Mostly based on how I see them.
Remus- Hufflepuff
Hear me out, Remus is very loyal once he warms up to someone. And he is /kind/ he's weird and impulsive, sure, but he's so sweet.
He would fit in nicely with the ravenclaws too, I think, he enjoys learning just not schoolwork. He's like if Luna had no self control and liked darker things.
Roman- Slytherin
This man is ambitious, he wants to be the hero, so he works himself to the bone. He wants to sweep someone off their feet? He makes it look easy as he kills himself to do it.
He'd fit well with gryffindors, he's brave and a bit reckless as they are wont to he, but he's driven by passion and ambition.
Logan- Slytherin
He is also very ambitious, he strikes me as willing to do whatever to reach his goal, manipulation, gaslightung, outright murder (that is less likely).
He would be a good hufflepuff, a fair judge of character and loyal to a fault when he likes you. He's sweet and good at finding things.
But he is slytherin.
Patton- Ravenclaw
He is always excited to learn something, he specializes in healing! He likes the outside the box thinking.
He'd be a good hufflepufd, kind, caring, and such.
But he's a Ravencalw.
Virgil- Hufflepuff
Genuinely a sweetheart, he is kind and he'll do anything for His People TM. Always ready to find an escape, or lecture, he is a mother henning.
He'd fit in well in ravenclaw I think, maybe gryffindor. Ravenclaw would like his wit and curiosit. Gryffindir would agree with the bravery if always being anxious but living anyways.
Janus- gryffindor
This boy has balls, lying obviously (he was hexes and no one has been able to undo it) and then smiling when he's been caught. He has tried to seduce a teacher because he wanted to see if he could.
He'd make a good slytherin, he's ambitious, driven, and borderline ruthless.
Emile- Ravenclaw
He is so full if random trivia and soaks up what interests him like a sponge. He is wicked smart too, becoming a therapist is a lot of school as far as I know.
He'd be a good hufflepuff with his kindness of course.
Remy- Hufflepuff
He may talk big but this man is the softest pillow for Emile. Okay? This man- this bitch will let Emile braid his hair while he sips coffee and gossips, that's just how they spend Friday nights. Also sarcastic but is sweet
He might be a good gryffindor? He's brave and just goes with the flow.
Elliot- Hufflepuff
He has a cold streak of course, but he's so sweet Jesus he just wants cuddles! With his ability to be gentle and his soft spot for younger students or hurt animals, he is a hufflepuff.
I don't really know where else he would fit?
