It’s my son’s cannon Birthday today!🎂

I’ve felt the need to spend some quality time with Ryo and finally share some of his Sprite expressions, some OC lore from his past, and his voice claim I’ve been literally itching to do something with.

Writing is overwhelming and as much as I want to write something polished I know I get too over stimulated and simply can’t write what I want 😵‍💫.

So for now I’ll put some of my thoughts here.

Prior to the events in the game Ryo lived as an ‘Oracle’ at a remote temple. His ‘curse’ was viewed as a blessing by the monks/priests however to use the gift to its fullest potential Ryo was subjected to following strict rules and rituals. He was treated like a deity and had little freedom but was devoted to his duties and under the impression he was doing good.

The monks/priests fed him laced tea so he would be complicit and perform his duties without questioning the implications. The years of being drugged regularly left his eyesight permanently damaged and for a long time it was left untreated. Ryo never really understood the gravity of what was happening around him until one fateful day 💀

I'm so tired of seeing pairings and ships in a GAMEs with choices. It feels like many developers have begun to forget what a "game" means. Not a book, not a movie, not an anime, not a series, but a GAME. I immediately want to warn that this is my personal opinion, I do not impose anything, I do not prohibit anything. I just play the way I like, so I hope for a calm reaction without trying to find some kind of disrespect in my words. I really really don't like when in game ROs can date someone else or even worse each other. Yes, even if I'm not on their route. Because it's so funny when they are like “you are my everything”, “if not you then no one”, but in a different route they date someone and you just well.. that hurt. I want to be the one and only for them. I want to be the whole world for ROs. It's a game. A game focused on romance, so let me at least be the one and only at least in dating sim romance game. Let me feel this uniqueness and necessity. Feel the tension, the thrill, the fight, eager and desire to be with MC. No poly, no ROxRO, no ROxNPC. It's only you and your choice with whom you want to feel one and only. I don't want to feel like a third wheel, I don't want to "ruin" the feelings of two people and I don't want to BE the third. Many people forget that if player can choose their MCs orientation, ROs can't. It laid down by the author. Therefore, even in a mono route character may maintain this view. And I don’t want to feel like I could be replaced at any moment or that I’m “not enough.” For poly people this is normal and acceptable, but when you are mono in real life it feels different. Again, if it's a game, the developers need to understand that in a game with choices, they are strictly storytellers and they don't have the power to make choices for the players. If you want to bring your characters together, please write a book. Don't pretend you're making a game. It's two completely different things. Again, I speak purely for myself. But I want to feel in the game the joy of knowing that I am the only and irreplaceable one for my beloved.

p.s. That's why I love horror dating sims so much. Sometimes it seems like only obsessed stalkers really love my MC.
