Melody Fowler is an artist, author and independent publisher.Her Poetic Gem Art is all about the power of books. Melody was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. She worked for prominent Vancouver law firms, a psychiatrist, and retired after decades working for a Crown Corporation. She is a painter and a poet. She published a book of poetry, "Life Lyrics" in 2011. Her latest work, "How We Healed," is a novel she has co-written with her husband Arric Fowler.

Her novel, "How We Healed" follows Drunetta Brown, an oppressed black housewife desperate to escape her drunkard husband and small-town southern life. After fleeing with her youngest children to New York City in 1957, she finds unlikely friendship with Sister Rose, a church secretary, and Miss "Raycie" Rayceen, a boisterous bar singer. These women prove to be the right friends at the right time as they help Drunetta navigate her journey of self-discovery. With a determination uncharacteristic of her time, Drunetta ultimately learns what's worth sacrificing-and, more importantly, what isn't-to secure her place in a changing world.

She and also run their homebased "Fowler Vineyard" where they continue to produce amazing wines and jellies.

I wholeheartedly believe that the last thing that should be said in response to aspecs hating their identity is "don't worry! Aspecs can still do X, Y, and Z" and I'm so fucking serious about this.

The least helpful thing you can do to someone who have not accepted their aspec identity yet is give them ways to compensate for it. If an aspec person is upset over not being able to enter a romantic relationship, the last thing that should be done is to tell them they can still enter one or instead enter a QPR - not because that's not true but because that is quite literally going to stunt their ability to accept their aspec identity. Telling them they can instead enter a QPR when they're upset over the lack of romantic relationships is at MOST a bandaid for the main issue. Instead of them coming to accept their identity and accept who they are you have instead handed them an amatonormative alternative on a silver platter that allows them to pretend they still fit into amatonormativity without every deconstructing it. This is how we get QPRs getting shoved into an amatonormative framework - these people NEVER got over the "I'm sad that I'm aspec" phase because they were handed alternatives instead of given actual support in deconstructing their internalized aphobia, self hatred, and amatonormative biases.

As you know, I've been lowkey aardman-pilled, just consuming every movie and short I can get my hands on lately! Well, I've been talking about a self insert oc idea with my partner and today I finally had the energy to sketch some stuff! (divider cred @/saradika-graphics)

After the events of A Matter of Loaf and Death, we don't really see Fluffles again unfortunately so I thought, what if she decided to go up for adoption again? Obviously she was very traumatized by Piella, and I think after some encouragement she'd be able to open herself up to being owned again eventually! I guess you could say she's a rescue, and through patience and love she eventually begins to heal!

I'm thinking the catch is that she's adopted by someone who lives far away, so Gromit has to let her go in order for her to heal. They still keep in touch through letters, though! And one day he gets a letter saying that Fluffles and her human are gonna be moving in on Wallaby street soon! She's a gentle artist, she moved to England from America to paint landscapes and such and she's a very kind and kinda goofy older lady. Definitely a great dog mom to Fluffles!

I think depictions of Anya being cruel to Curly or drawing out his suffering are artful and chilling but completely miss the point of the story and her character.

I'm not saying she doesn't deserve to have that "I told you so" moment with him but not in something callous or cold. Even if that is how it happened, she'd immediately feel guilty cause at that point she's not tormenting her tormenter or even the person truly at fault. She's doing something cathartic, similar to how Jimmy likely hits Curly to release rage he can't against the rest of the crew. She'd see herself as no different when she'd come back from the moment and see Curly cowering at her. She wants someone to take responsibility but how does being cruel to the defenseless help? Why would she want the power Jimmy has over her over Curly?

The idea of her extending someone else's pain is just so against the struggles she already faces and how she can't even bring herself to cause someone pain even to help them. Her very desire is to release herself from her own suffering and I doubt she'd even fine some sort of guilty release in being cruel to another.

Long, long ago, at the time where Telamon created the original SFOTH swords, he saw too many flaws in them. In himself. So he created the Daemonshank, forged and infushed with his hatred, and sealed it away for good

Then came a prophecy: one about Telamon's first born, they will become the creation of hatred, one shall bring despair and wreak havoc upon Roblox itself

Then came it, Telamon succeded in creating life itself, yet the child was anything but hatred. The child's name was 1x1x1x1. Kind, compassionate and selfless - he was deemed to be the next ruler of SFOTH, as the prophecy was dissmissed

Years flew by, the child grew up. Yet on one fatefull day-

he found it. The child found the forbidden sword. Unbeknownst of the prophecy- he attempted to pull it. But it hurted terribly, so 1x1x1x1 left it there, he didn't told anyone, he didn't thought much of it, either

But day by day, the corruption slowly spread. It gnawed at him. Slowly but surely. 1x1x1x1 could barely think straight anymore. So on his 14th birthday
