Role-playing
Scenario: You get them to role-play as your favorite characters in the bedroom
Male reader! Warning* Language, NSFW themes (Heavily implied), Implied cross dressing Characters: Alastor, Adam, Lucifer, and Vox
Alastor
It was a hard feature to get Alastor to agree to do role-playing. Even worst as you suggested for him to dress up. But with a lot of obeying orders like a good boy and batting your eyelashes, he finally caves in.
"If I do this...role-playing, you will owe me a favor." Alastor states, taking the clothing that you bought just for him. He looks at the suit, making sure not to wrinkle it even though, it will soon be tossed away as the role-playing progress.
"Uh huh, yeah. Go put it on!" You say dismissively, wanting to see how he looks. You spent a lot of money for this.
Giving a silent sigh, he makes his way behind the screen room divider to change.
"And who am I dressing as?" Alastor asks, stepping around the divider to show you the outfit.
"Sebastian Michaelis!" You squeal out, rushing in front of him to look how the outfit fits. Which was perfect! Of course, going to the tailor that Alastor usually goes to was a smart plan since they already know of his measurements.
"The one in your comics, yes?" He asks, basking in your attention. He won't admit it though the outfit may be for a lesser person of power, it was comfortable and formal. The only thing he was not appreciative is the gloves. Instead of his black gloves that reaches his mid forearm was white wrist gloves. White was not his color.
"It's called Manga and yes. Sebastian is a very powerful butler demon. He's very cunning, manipulative, and charming. So I don't think you'll have any trouble fitting that role." You hummed out, adjusting his tie that was perfectly in place but you just wanted to touch already.
"Well then," Alastor pulls you in by the waist, "as a butler I should start doing the task that is wanted of me." He takes your chin in his hands, lifting your face to make you're eyes make contact with his own. His natural red eye color a perfect match for Sebastian.
Adam
"I feel stupid." Adam whines out behind the closed door. He's hiding in the bathroom after taking the costume with him to change.
"Oh, I'm sure you look amazing. Just come out!" You encouraged, sitting down infront of the bed where it was facing the door that Adam was behind.
"I don't look nothing like the guy." He complains before a thud is heard and the door shakes a little.
You sighed, knowing that he must have tapped the door with his head, a little bit too aggressively.
"So? I didn't look anything like Misa Misa but I still wore it last time." Last time was his choice of what you guys do in the bedroom. He picked out Misa Amane from Death Note. Apparently, he has a thing for goth chicks, also stating that your dick in panties was a bonus for him.
"Ugh! Fine. Just don't luagh. I swear, the things I fucking do for you." You were in mid eye roll when Adam opens the door. The sight of him makes you hold in your breath. There he was, in a Iron Man costume that you and him worked hard in finding. It wasn't amazing like those cos players but way better than the Halloween version.
"Go ahead. Luagh-" Adam didn't get to finish as you start to kiss him. Immediately, he holds your waist, pulling you close as you both make out. Your hands cupping his face, feeling the freshly styled facial hair that he formed to a goatee for this day. This man let it all grow just for you.
"Fuck." Adam gasps, pulling back to take a breath. Looking down at your flushed state, a smirk forms on his face.
"I'm Tony Stark and I've saved my best weapon for you."
Lucifer
You and Lucifer are in the beginning of love making. Kissing each other passionately, clothes already thrown to who knows where. His hands running up and down your sides, sending thrill of arousal mixed with tingles that supposed to make you luagh from the ticklish sensation. As it progress, you pull away, looking down at him from your place straddling his lap.
He quirks a brow at you, wondering why you pulled away, leaning back with a shy look instead of attacking his neck with love bites.
"Is something wrong?" He asks, running his hands down your thighs to soothe you and himself.
"I just...I want to try something new." You mumble out, looking away from him. The heat that's spread on your form rises. Making your skin fill in goosebumps from the thought in your mind.
"Oh? Tell me baby. I'm all up for it." Lucifer states, feeling warmth flood his system at the idea of you asking him many things that he can provide. This whole sex thing is nothing new, nor kinks. He has done many things in the past, some questionable but when you have centuries of free time, one gets bored.
"You know how you can shape shift...right?" You ask like it was something new to him even though it's one of his powers that he usually uses just cuase he can.
He nods staying silent, letting you keep the pace with your thoughts. As he sees you struggle, you lean over to the bedside table and grab your phone. You type in Voogle and show the image to Lucifer.
"...You want me to shape shift to Lucifer Morningstar in that TV show?" You groan, throwing the phone to the side and cover your face in embarrassment.
"I know, I know...but at least it's still basically you." You mumble out, more to yourself before you feel a slight shift under you. Uncovering your eyes, you come face to face with the Lucifer that the TV series betrays him as.
"Now then..." Lucifer purrs, getting into character before he flips you both over so he was now on top.
"Tell me, what do you desire?"
Vox
Role-playing wasn't something that was talked or thought about in your relationship. Until Vox noticed your obsession with a character that you'll bring up time to time. Even collected figurines and posters.
He hasn't payed much attention to it but the more you obsessed over this fictional character, the more thought of just figuring out what gift he can give you about this character for your birthday. You basically have almost all the merchandise. A room dedicated for your obsession, filled and nicely decorated.
As he enters the room, he takes a picture and image search this bitch. Immediately, he gets taken to many sites and other images about this character. Which leads to a deep dive of cosplays.
"Vox?" You call out, walking in the bedroom to find your boyfriend. You already searched the whole penthouse except here.
"Hey." A familiar voice that wasn't Vox makes you perk up. Turning around, there leaning on the door frame acting cool and nonchalant, arms crossed is your boyfriend dressed as the one and only Kakashi Hatake.
"How did you do that!" You rush toward him, a big smile plastered on. You don't know if to luagh or fan boy.
Vox takes in your reaction, feeling out of his comfort zone but the stars in your eyes makes him relax. He's sure you're referring to his screen. Instead of his usual face, he digitalized his screen to form Kakashi's face or half of it since the mask was in the way.
"A whole team of animators and lots of replacements." Vox even changed his voice filter to sound like the ninja.
While you admire him, he takes a step forward to lean close to your face, seeing how you hold your breath.
"Would you like to act out a scene from my book, Icha Icha Paradise?" He asks seductively, pulling out a replica of the book from his back pocket and taps your head with it.

Romantic Misa Amane with prompts 17 and 29 from your own prompt list? Misa is basically a canon yandere anyway.
She definitely is. Plus, I can totally see her playing dress up with her darling.
Yandere! Misa Amane Prompts 17 + 29
"You look so cute in those clothes! I think I picked well...."
"I want to be this close... forever...."
Pairing: Romantic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Post-Kidnapping plot, Delusional behavior, Manipulation, Clingy behavior, Isolation, Murder mentioned, Dehumanization, Forced relationship.
Tumblr media
"I saw these at the store and thought you'd look so cute in them!"
Misa's voice is sickeningly sweet like usual. You've grown used to her voice ever since you were brought to her apartment. Yet you still can't stop flinching back when you hear her.
You're scared of her and you think she notices.
It wasn't new for Misa to buy clothes before coming home. As a famous model she naturally gets money and access to fancy clothes. So, you're used to Misa coming home with bags full of clothes.
Unfortunately, you also know it means she gets to play dress up with you for the next few hours.
Dressing you in clothes is Misa's love language. She enjoys dressing you in pretty suits and dresses. To her, it's bonding.
You feel like a human doll... but it's not like you can convince her otherwise.
"Took me forever to find your size but... here they are!" Misa chirps, dropping full bags on the bed beside you. You blankly look between them and Misa, noticing the excitement glinting in her eyes. If you ignored the fact you're a captive... maybe it would be cute.
If you weren't trapped in this apartment, perhaps Misa could be a good girlfriend. She's cute... but you know better. A cute face can allow someone to get away with many things...
But not kidnapping and murder.
No, you know what Misa is capable of. She may act like the cute supermodel she usually is now. Yet this is the same woman who just needs a face of someone she doesn't like... just to get rid of them.
You aren't sure how she does it but what you do know is she admitted it. When you first were dragged here, Misa admitted she's been planning this. Your friends disappearances were no accidents.
That's what kept you scared of angering her. You've seen her snap by this point. When you don't reciprocate... She gets irritated....
So playing doll is your best bet.
You don't bother fighting when Misa pulls out an outfit from the bag. It's black yet on closer inspection you can see what looks like glitter. You don't comment on it, simply scooting closer so the model can dress you.
There isn't much talk between you. Well, talk you reciprocate as most of it is Misa cooing over you as she compliments how you look. You silently resign yourself to playing dress up with Misa as she puts the first outfit on your body.
"You look so cute in those clothes! I think I picked well...." Misa finally squeals as she pulls back. She pulls down the outfit to properly fit you. You internally grimace... not enjoying how tight the outfit clings.
You wonder if she did that on purpose.
"Aren't you cute?" Misa chirps, looking at you expectantly. You hesitate, watching her nervously. Yet when you see a familiar darkness in her gaze... you answer with a quick nod and hum.
Misa appears pleased at your response. Pleased enough to squeal again and tug you into her arms. Your breath hitches, panicking before forcing yourself to calm down as Misa cradles you.
She babbles childishly towards you as she squeezes you tight. You feel her nuzzling into your neck, softly kissing your skin as she holds you. You lean limply against her... like the doll she wants you to be.
"I want to be this close... forever...." Misa murmurs hopefully as she holds you like a child with a toy. You squirm a bit when she sits on the bed and pulls you on her lap. However, a tight squeeze around your hip is enough to prevent your fight.
"If you look cute in this one... I bet you'll look cute in all of them!" Misa comments, mostly to herself as she looks over the clothes she bought. You reluctantly sit on her lap, hiding the fatigue in your eyes.
The way Misa holds you... the way Misa dresses you... it make you feel less than human. You feel like a pet, coddled and held... always waiting for their owner to come home. The thought makes you want to cry but you've learned to hold it back.
Having Misa come home and pay attention to you like this reminds you of what she's forced you to be...
A pretty doll for her to caress and coo over... a toy for her to love... yet not a proper partner with the freedom you wish you had.

Hi I hope all is well!! You should do how the characters would react to the reader in like formal wear (like a pretty dress/suit) :D
Tumblr media
i’m good thank u for the req :)
sorry this was a little rushed! will probably have gaps in between posts for a while, exam season killing the best of us
death note x gn!reader
-light, l lawliet, misa amane, mello, matt, near, matsuda
༺♡༻
how dn cast would react to s/o in formal wear ❦
light
-is going to LOVE this. for his image, but also i feel like light would love to see his partner in formal dress. i’ve said before that i can kind of see him as a romantic person, mainly before getting the death note. so i can easily picture light and his s/o getting super dressed up and going for a fancy dinner and a whole romantic evening (i sound so delusional. he is a serial killer)
༺♡༻
l lawliet
i mean he isn’t exactly a fashion icon but i honestly think he’d find it super cute. he’d love to see you dressed up, he might not say much at first, i think he’d probably stare in awe for a moment but he’d 100% compliment you afterwards. you’d find it so cute
༺♡༻
misa amane
would be thrilled! would literally hug u and compliment you sm and proceed to go and put a fancy dress on, put on makeup, and take pictures of you both to post on social media. she’d want to go on a night out with u and do something fun to show off what you’re both wearing
༺♡༻
mello
he can appreciate sone good fashion and he’d also compliment you. he’d want to ask you where you got your clothes if he liked them but would be too embarrassed PFFFT. he would want to show u off even more to his mafia associates, he wants them to see how great you look but also be VEEEERY possessive
༺♡༻
matt
would casually compliment you and would genuinely mean it, but if you asked him to also get dressed up he’d unfortunately have to decline LMAO it’s not really his thing. i bet one time if he did finally let you have what u wanted he’d look SO GOOD IN A SUIT I MEAN CMON NOW. in all seriousness, he’d probably take a candid picture of u and set it to his wallpaper on his phone.
༺♡༻
near
probably wouldn’t care but not in a bad way. he wouldn’t know what to say, even if he was thinking of how good he thought you looked. he’d ask what the occasion was at least, but don’t expect him to be dressing up with you. he’s perfectly fine in his usual outfit, it’s what comforts him. however he is very supportive of you
༺♡༻
matsuda
HE IS BLUSHING IN MY EYES. he’d probably be thinking ‘omfg… did they do this for me?’ (you did). after his staring and blushing stops due to you waving your hand in front of his face, hed get up and hug u and tell you how amazing you look. the way he does it makes you blush too <3

Attack on Titan Characters’ Halloween Costumes (Headcannons)
What I think each of the Attack on Titan characters would dress up as for Halloween.
(Yes I know it’s June but I just had to get this out of my system)
Cws: modern au, college au, Halloween, I don't know what to put here really
Includes: Eren Jeager, Armin Arlert, Mikasa Ackerman, Jean Kirschtein, Sasha Braus, Niccolo, Connie Springer, Historia Reiss, Ymir, Marco Bott
Summary: What would some of the Attack on Titan characters wear if they all attended a Halloween party together in a modern au?
Tumblr media
Eren- Solider
I’m seeing camouflage pants, a black compression shirt, combat boots, and maybe even those metal tags that soldiers wear around their neck. Mikasa is absolutely in love with the look, and jots it down in hopes of accidentally matching with him next year. Eren idolized the whole solider thing as a kid.
-
Armin- Milo Thatch from the animated Atlantis movie
If you don’t know who he is, Milo Thatch is a young explorer on a team that discovers The Lost City of Atlantis. He wears a long muted green trench coat, baggy army-colored explorer pants, a beige sweater, round glasses, white knee breeches, low-heeled dress shoes, and he carries around a brown cross body satchel with an old book. I feel like impersonating Milo would be so in-character for Armin, he could pull it off well. And he would look adorable.
-
Mikasa- This is partially influenced by Isayama’s modern au, but I’m just seeing her completely decked out in goth attire.
She would wear rose-patterned lace black leggings and matching gloves, high black boots, a black leather skirt and sleeveless top set, V neck with an abundance of chokers. Rings, probably. We all know her makeup game would be absolutely bomb (and perfect for the dim lighting of the party). If anything, her outfit is comparable to a Misa Amane (from Death Note) cosplay.
-
Jean- A Prince
He wants to have people falling over him so bad, and what better way than to show up as a literal prince for the Halloween party? Goes all out with a navy suit and gold buttons, matching pants, sleek dress shoes, does his hair nice, even carries a pocket watch on a gold chain tucked into his pocket. His mom probably helped him with the outfit. Eren absolutely dies when Jean tries to hit on a girl dressed as a princess at the party and she asks if he’s dressed up as George Washington (the first U.S. President).
-
Sasha/Niccolo- they go for a Ratatouille Remi and Linguini couple costume (Sasha wanted to and Niccolo loved her too much to say no).
You'd think that Niccolo, the actual cook, would the the chef, but no. Sasha wanted to be the chef because then she’d “get to taste test all the food.” Sasha goes out and buys Niccolo a fake rat nose and ears. He wears white loafers, grey sweatpants, a grey long-sleeved shirt, and Sasha paints three little black whiskers on each cheek. Niccolo lets Sasha borrow a chef’s uniform and hat from his restaurant and has to take a few deep breaths because the uniform matches the one he wears while he works and he loves that. Lots of selfies.
-
Connie- Wearing a goblin mask of some sort
This man has two primary goals on Halloween. One: to consume as much candy as humanly possible. Two: to scare the absolute living crap out of as many people as possible. Connie grew up with a few siblings, so his parents probably couldn’t spend a lot of money on each of their Halloween costumes growing up. They were probably given twenty bucks, take to spirit Halloween, and told to have at it. He’s also a relatively simple, straightforward person in general, so I feel like he drops by the convenience store like the day before Halloween and picks out the best goblin mask he can find. Wears dark jeans and a black hoodie so he can wait in the bushes outside the party to catch people by surprise. Armin’s soul almost leaves his body when he falls victim to one of Connie's jump scares.
-
Historia- An angel
I know this isn’t the most creative costume for her, but there was really no other option. Plus Ymir insisted and takes a million pictures once Historia is all done getting ready. She wears fluffy Angel wings, a well-crafted gold headpiece from Etsy to be the halo, and a sleeveless, pure white, almost floor-length dress with gold rings on the shoulders. Her makeup is soft and she seems to glow, even in the darkened lighting. She looks like she was sent from heaven. (Reiner stares so hard and Ymir keeps shoving him away).
-
Ymir- A basketball uniform
Now keep in mind, Ymir doesn’t actually play basketball (although I do feel like she’d be involved in a sports team of some kind). Her top is sleeveless and has a big 00 on the front and back. Ymir probably got it at the Walmart or some convenience store like Connie. Not the type to put too much effort into a Halloween costume unless she gets to do really gory makeup and scare people (which Historia does not allow her to).
-
Marco- A Hogwarts student
He and Armin are such nerds I love it. It’s probably a Hufflepuff robe, he wears the tie and everything. He carries around a wand he got off of some authentic seller. It’s real wood, he and Armin fanboy at the attention to detail since both of them have read the books.
-
The professors aren’t supposed to attend student-organized parties or gatherings, but everyone is fairly certain they saw a displeased-looking Levi chasing Hange wearing an inflatable dinosaur costume in the distance.

Misa Amane x fem reader bodyguard
Can't believe I'm only writing about her now. I just got the full black edition manga of Death Note, and I got really sad at the end. I also got the box set of the anime. It was so much different from her ending. so I'm finally writing something. I was going to do this during Pride Month, but I'm a little late to the party, never mind, let's get to the fic
I hated this feeling.
The feeling eats away at me every time I look at her.
I'm hopelessly in love, but she can't even talk about me.
Me and Misa were out shopping in the main city stores. I was her most trusted bodyguard since I was a girl. I held all her bags diligently and carefully. some expensive brands in every other bag, and it made me nervous at how much money she had sometimes, it was nice not hearing her constantly talk about him for once, but I spoke too soon.
"I would of asked Light and Ryuzaki to come with us so It could be a double date because come on let's be real, Ryuzaki totally has a thing for you, and I can spend some time with my precious boyfriend. But they said they had a major discovery in the Kira case and told me to go away"
Ew, I don't even like Ryuzaki ever since he literally kidnapped Misa and straight up smelt her like a rabid dog. I didn't have a good impression from the start. "Boyfriend." Yeah, right, light doesn't even acknowledge her, let alone want to date her. now look! she pouted how adorable. light couldn't see how truly beautiful she was, like a god of death. I could be a better boyfriend. I sighed, looking at Misa with a dopey grin. Her fashion was always on point and suited her. like today, a simple black skirt, long-sleeved shirt that was slightly see-through, black and white thigh-high socks, shin-high black boots giving a little height over me, and a crop denim jacket, with no arms, it looked so edgy and right in the trends right now, it's perfect on her she even had her hair down framing her clear skin and pretty brown eyes, I could get lost in them as they sparkle like topaz. I was standing in the middle of the shopping centre just staring at Misa, and she turned around, noticing my sudden disappearance from her side.
"Hey, are you okay weirdo? You're kinda just staring"
"O-oh yeah, I'm okay, misa just admiring youu-'re outfit! it's lovely today"
"Oh, I know right! Thank you for telling me, light didn't even say I looked cute today hmf"
'Saved that so well.' I smiled with a little wobble and a blushing face, my hold on the paper bag in my hand tightening as I adjusted the suit tie the bag made a soft crinkle in protest, as I caught up to her.
"Are there any more places you want to go?"
"Yes, actually, I heard about this super cute cafe in here. They put little stuffed animals on your table depending on how you look or how the waiter sees you. We have to go there, and I could use a latte"
"Yeah, sounds super adorable. I could use a cup of tea"
I smiled at her, and she giddily pulled out her phone to try and find the cafe quickly typing with her black nails and turning around excitedly, her skirt spinning with her, it lifted slightly and I saw. 'Oh my god, she has garters on - look away, look away, look AWAY!' I turned my head away quickly before Misa approached me.
"It's this way, let's go!"
She hooked her arm around mine and phone in her other hand as she quickly dragged me along to our destination, my face heating up once more at her actions 'She's so cute'.
"I bet light will love this place. we should bring the boys along. I bet they'd give Light a cute dog plushie and maybe Ryuzaki a smelly rat bleh"
She stuck her tongue out at the thought of a rat, and I couldn't help but laugh and agree with her. We soon got to the place and found a table sitting down. I placed all the bags I was holding under the table and to our side, and the blonde went into one of them, pulling out a little box.
"I got this cute ring I hope light likes it"
Light, Light, Light, Light, Light! I'm sick of hearing about him. I actually wished he was Kira sometimes so he could be away from her kind heart, but I know that would only motivate Misa more, seeing as Kira killed her parent's murderer.... she never did get time to mourn....
"Hey bestie Look isn't this cute"
I snapped out of my thoughts with a stab in my heart 'bestie'. Misa pushed her hand forward, showing me her new jewellery. It was a slim black band around her ring finger with painted skulls along it, I softly smiled. It looked fabulous.
"I'm sure Light will like it. It looks amazing, so well made too"
"Aahhh you really think so?"
"I know so"
The slow poison in my chest grew at every mention of Light, and soon, I was thankfully directed out of the silent resentment by a kind waitress who asked for our orders. I got a simple early grey tea and Misa ordered a caramel latte with extra cream, and the kind lady walked away with our order and into a back room.
"Anywhere else after this? my fair lady, hehe."
"Oh, don't be so formal, you nerd, no wonder Ryuzaki likes you, but I think I'm done here unless you'd like to get something?"
"Oh me? No, I'm okay. I'll even pay for our drinks if you want?"
"Awww how sweet of you'd really do that for little old me?"
"Of course we are friends"
'Oh god, that stung to say'. The waiter came back, placing our drinks down, and on the drink trays were small plushies. I couldn't help but grin brightly at Misa as she slowly picked up her adorable stuffed animal, it was a little bat with magnets in the wings so it could wrap around the body, and it even had a small red bow around one of the large ears. I was so focused on the girl in front of me gently holding the bat by the wings, making it swing back and forth, I didn't even see what one I got. I quickly looked down to see my own small soft toy, it was a calico cat with buttons for eyes, it lay on its stomach, I picked it up its paws had velvet beans, and had small bits of plastic in them to make it slightly weighted. I held it in my hands with awe it was surprisingly an accurate description of me. it almost looked sad.
"Swapsies, I wanna see yours!"
Misa picked up the toy from my hands, and she gave me hers she gave a little squeal, saying how cute it looked, and I laughed. Looking at her bat, I noticed it had plastic red eyes with bits of glitter shining in it 'Just as unique as her' A hand took away the soft toy again.
"Oh, I bet I could..... aha, look how cute!"
Misa wrapped the bat's wings around the cat in a sort of hug, and the magnets clicked in place to stay around it.
"Awww it's like their friends"
"Nah I bet they're dating"
"Oh yeah? Whys that"
"I don't know, just have a feeling not everything has an answer, dummy"
She giggled at calling me a dummy and took a sip of her coffee, sighing content with the taste. I took this as my chance to drink my tea 'needs sugar wait I could try a pickup line'. I raised an eyebrow as I spoke, leaning an elbow on the table.
"My tea needs more sugar, mind getting in it?"
"Was that supposed to be smooth?"
"Yeah....."
I hung my head in defeat and sighed. I felt gentle fingers on my chin, lifting me up, and I looked at Misa, losing myself in her eyes before she spoke in a smug tone
"Bet I can give you a panic at the disco."
She held a sly smirk, and I felt my face get increasingly hot. 'oh she's way too pretty to be this good at pickup lines. I think I might die.'
"Oh geez, where did you get that from?"
"A magician never tells their secrets"
"I don't think that's connected?"
"You're so mean to me"
The pretty blonde pouted again and took another sip from her coffee, pulling out her phone to take a picture of the stuffed animals hugging before taking one of me as I drank my tea, giggling like a schoolgirl as I called her out on it. The date/ hang out was calm, and we chatted and I paid the bill, we slowly made our way back to the building, we were currently staying at before Misa got a call on her phone, and she excitedly exclaimed its light.
"Mhm okay perfect see ya soon, byeee~ love you. Light says we need to talk. I hope he finally says I'm his girlfriend!"
The girl got super giddy and even did a little jump in excitement before she returned to my side taking some of the bags from one arm.
"And light tells me Ryuzaki called for you~"
She bumped my hip, making me stubble she was convinced L liked me at this point, and I nervously fake laughed.
"Oh, he did, huh..."
"Uh huh~ you two would be so cute, like a nerdy couple you see in anime"
"Hm, yeah, I guess so"
We made our way back to the building and walked into the elevator, still holding all of Misa's shopping. I'm just glad we didn't get spotted by any fans maybe because she had her hair down 'I love her hair down'. She hummed a soft tune as we waited to go up to the top floor. As the doors opened, we both saw light and L in the room. Misa dropped all her bags and ran to light in a hug, which he didn't seem pleased about in the slightest. I picked up the bags, setting all of them next to the sofa, smoothing out my suit before feeling a tap on my shoulder it was L.
"Hello miss ... I need to speak with you. Follow me"
"Okay"
my tone was cold but not harsh I just felt upset, also ew, he touched me. I followed the emo rat out of the room, but not before I got one last glance at Misa kissing Light's cheek.
It hurts to know that
You will never look at me
The way I look at you
omg finally I wrote for her and I don't like the ending and I feel like I rushed it but it's fine, it fine just gives me an excuse to write some more of this fucking queen. but I struggle writing women so I hope this is okay

AAAA OMG CAN YOU PLEASE WRITE SOME MORE OF TOXIC LIGHT SMUT when i tell you im absolutely in love-
yes!! sorry this took forever omg
> warnings: smut, jealousy, some degreation
“I don’t know how I feel about working with a Second Kira. What if it’s a trap?”
You stand arms-crossed in Light’s bedroom, him sitting casually in his rolling chair near his desk, awaiting the arrival of the supposed Second Kira.
“I know what I’m doing. If this was a trap, how would L know about shinigami? Notebooks? Shinigami eyes? Just trust me, I’ve got this all under control.”
You did trust Light, of course. You placed your life in his hands the minute he revealed himself as Kira, and you wouldn’t change that for the world. Yet still, Light may be the brains, but it all felt too convenient. Someone, somehow suddenly has a death note, is a follower of Kira, and so eagerly wants to meet up with him? At no cost, no trick or catch? It just didn’t make sense.
“I don’t know, it feels too easy. I have a bad feeling.”
“I think,” Light stands up from his seated position, slowly walking towards you. “You’re a little jealous?”
“Don’t be ridiculous. I’m just worried.”
“Worried?” He traces the curve of your jawline with his index finger, radiating warmth from his calloused yet delicate, almost soft hands, the same ones that murdered thousands with the flick of a pen felt so graceful in the gentle way they caressed your skin, so beautiful in the way they moved methodically, like a choir director stroking music notes. “About me? Y/N, you know me. I’m not stupid enough to fall into a trap.”
“I know, I know, it’s just-”
You’re cut off with the loud ring of the doorbell, the sound pulling the attention of both you and Light as your heads turned towards the closed bedroom door. Silently, the two of you exit his bedroom, walking down the stairs and into the living room to open the front door, revealing a petite blonde girl clad in a black dress, strips of patterned lace decorating her carefully put together outfit. She was gorgeous, yes; pretty and feminine in a way that sank your heart. Was she trying to impress Kira? Or did it just come naturally to her, she was always this done up? You dug your nails into your palms.
“Good morning, my name is Misa Amane,” The girl spoke, “You left your notebook at school, so I brought it...”
Light stepped foreword, placing his hand on the small of your back to guide you outside as he shut the door behind you.
“Nice to meet you...I’m Misa Amane. I figured you’d be worried after what was on the TV, and I couldn’t wait any longer.”
You clenched your jaw a little tighter. Yes, the Kira broadcast on the TV, the one she made, the one that made Kira look stupid. Was she an idiot?
“This notebook...” She reached out her hands, offering out a small black notebook. Her death note? You glanced at Light, to which he responded with an assuring nod, before placing his two fingers on the death note. You did the same.
Your gaze rose up from the black book and back at Misa; behind the small-framed girl manifested a towering, looming figure, it’s bones a dusty white, spiking at its shoulders like spears. Her shinigami? It looked different than Ryuk.
Light rubbed the bridge of his nose before opening the front door back up, “Come on in.”
“Oh, you’re inviting me up to your room?” She stepped in, “Yay!”
                 ___________________________
“You don’t look to happy Y/N. Was it Misa?”
You roll your eyes at Light’s remark. Of course it was Misa. How could it not be Misa? Light flirted back with her, and he did it on purpose. All just to get a rise out of you- and you hate to admit it was working.
“Aw, are you a little jealous maybe? I think you’re overreacting.” He continued.
“Overreacting? She asked to be your girlfriend. She called you darling. And you were playing into it. I have a right to be upset, it’s not unjustified.”
‘I’m sorry...” Light slowly paces foreword, walking you backwards until your back hits the wall. He places his hands outstretched against the wall on either side of your head, almost trapping you, “Are you talking back to me?” He lowers his head, softy tracing your neck with the tip of his nose, excruciatingly careful not to let his lips touch your skin.
Nervously, you swallow hard, earning a smirk from the brunette. “N...No, Light. Of course not.”
“No who?” His fingers slowly graze your body, caressing your arms, your stomach, your waist; lower and lower, inching towards the place you wanted them most.
“No, Kira.”
“Good girl.” He remarks, finally dipping his fingers into your underwear. He runs his fingers along your slit teasingly. God, he was so arrogant, so pretentious, but you could never get enough.
“You’re so wet for me already? Loyal little girl.” He lifts his hand slightly so his middle finger rubs your clit in circles. You whimper in pleasure, you needed more.
“Kira, please.”
“Please what? I want you to beg for it.” He presses his finger harder against your clit, causing your knees to buckle slightly beneath you.
“Please Kira, I need you. Please, just finger me, I need something, just no more teasing.” You managed.
“Well since you asked so nicely~” Light dips two slender fingers inside you, pumping in and out, using his free thumb to circle your clit. He drank in your small moans and whines with a small smirk, picking up the rhythmic pace of his fingers each time your legs trembled, adding a third finger until you were reduced to a moaning mess. He curled his fingers inside of you, hitting your G-spot.
“Fuck, Kira.” You moaned as you road out your orgasm, your words muffled by the hand that now covered your mouth. Right, his parents were still home.
“K-Kira, please, I need more. Please, fuck me.”
“Oh?” Light pulls his hand from your panties, earning a whimper from you at the loss of heat. “You think you get to make demands like that after you misbehaved all night? After you got jealous of some girl? After you distrusted your god? Nuh-uh, on your knees, now.”
“But-” You attempted to protest before Light roughly shoved you onto the ground by your shoulders, leaving you on your knees in front of him.
“Now Y/N, show me just how much more you love me than Misa.”
------------------------
A/N: alright I wanted to put a disclaimer at the end cuz this one kinda felt... misogynistic?? LMFAO. honestly i hate the trope where there’s a girl friends with a guy and then another girl comes along and she hates her, it just gives a lot of “pick me” girl vibes. buttt i knew i wanted Y/N to be jealous in this one, and who else would she be jealous of than misa? so yeah, disclaimer over lmfao

My Top 10 Favorite Anime Villains (Updated) by DarkChild316
In a different time and a different world, I did a list of “My 10 Favorite Anime Villains”. I am older now, and hopefully much wiser and now thanks to the global pandemic and my new subscriptions to Hulu and Funimation I’ve had the opportunity to go back and revisit so many classic anime that I feel like I should re-do it. Plus I’ve gone back and looked at my previous list and shook my head thinking to myself: “My God man, what in the f**k were you thinking with some of these choices!” So, I’ve gone back and redone the list, now this list is strictly for the men only. If you want to see a list dedicated to my favorite female villains, check out my list of “My Top 10 Favorite Anime Villainesses.” But for this list, here is my updated list of My Top 10 Favorite Anime Villains:
#10. Shishiho Makoto (Rurouni Kenshin): Growing up as a kid, Ruroni Kenshin was one of the first anime I had ever watched, and this guy was someone who I hated with a passion. Looking back at it years later, I realize now what an amazing villain and foil to Kenshin that Makoto was. Unlike a lot of villains on this list, Makoto wasn’t just evil for the sake of being evil, Makoto’s evil came from the worst type of trauma: betrayal! In this case the betrayal came from Makoto’s own government, where Makoto survived not only multiple gunshots, but being doused in oil and burned alive, leaving him in complete and utter agony. What puts Shishio on my list is what he manages to do after surviving death. He compiles an army of the best fighters Japan has to offer and plots to overthrow the entire Meiji Government. While in complete agony. Who else can claim that? Did I also mention he’s topping the list of the best fighters in the show? His swordsmanship is second only to Kenshin himself as he proves in their absolutely epic fight.
#9. Hisoka Morrow (Hunter x Hunter): Hunter x Hunter is a show with several great villains that truly stand out, and while Meruem was memorable, pardon me for believing that Hisoka was the standout villain from that show. A devious killer and master Nen user, Hisoka is driven by little more than his desire to find and kill strong opponents. Be they young children or master criminals, he’ll pursue them to the ends of the Earth with a bloodlust on par with that of a wild predator. Likewise, he doesn’t care what happens to himself or others in this pursuit. Mass civilian casualties, the loss of his own villainous allies or even the loss of his own limbs barely phases him, so long as he gets to fight with someone that tests his limits. As a result, he more often than not embodies chaos incarnate, wreaking havoc in his pursuit of battle and leaving a mountain of corpses behind him. Needless to say, this puts him at odds with the series’ protagonists at regular intervals. Not only do Gon and his friends fit the bill for what he seeks, but they often take on enemies that prove to be exactly what Hisoka is looking for. And yet, this also serves to make him all the more interesting. Where other villains might strike out at the protagonists and heroes immediately, Hisoka schemes, allies himself with and double-crosses people regularly, always finding the best angle to work in order to reach his goals. He may not be a world-ending anime villain on the level of a Meruem with seismic ambitions, but he’s undeniably the most interesting and brilliant villain in Hunter x Hunter to see at work.
#8. Izaya Orihara (Durarara!!): If you think of a list of top anime villains and this guy isn’t one of the first people who comes to mind, please raise your hands so I can have a few words with you in private with no cameras or eyewitnesses. The crazy thing about Izaya is that he doesn’t even realize he’s evil, and that’s what makes him great. He loves humanity; from the depths of his bones he loves us all. This is why he makes it onto my list; he does progressively more cruel acts against humans, putting people in situations that generally lead to their deaths. He is also a master of parkour and highly skilled with a switchblade in his hand (as evident in the above picture), which he generally only uses in dire situations or fights against Shizuo. In short, I absoulutely love this guy. I thoroughly enjoyed the way he manages to manipulate an entire populous, and that’s why he’s more than earned a spot on my list.
#7. Dio Brando (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure): You might have thought it was someone else, but it was me, Dio! All meme-worthy jokes aside, Dio Brando is unquestionably one of the most iconic anime villains of all time and, thanks to his series’ late-blooming popularity outside of Japan thanks largely to the 2012 anime adaptation, one that still feels modern in our minds. Dio is a tenacious bastard that takes advantage of the generosity of the Joestar family to further his own power, being intolerably dickish to Jonathan by constantly tearing him down, trying to make him look bad in front of his dad, spreading rumors to sully his reputation, and sabotaging his relationships. This escalates into killing his dog (his f***ikg dog of all things!), poisoning and later stabbing his adoptive father (I mean WTF!), and becoming a freakin vampire. Even after decapitation, Dio gets his revenge and sets in motion many of the events of the series, making a formal return in Stardust Crusaders as the main villain once again. With raw ambition taken to the extreme, iconic lines, poses, and outfits, incredible abilities from Aztec mask-induced vampirism and the time-stopping power of The World, Dio’s menacing presence towers over his series and over anime as a whole, which makes him MORE than deserving of a spot on my list.
#6. Light Yagami (Death Note): Yes, he’s a VILLAIN, get over yourselves Light Yagami fanboys! Anyway, there are a number of different adjectives and superlatives that could be used to described the lead character of Death Note: Diabolical, calculating, and determined to make the world in his own image all describe Light who was easily the most clever man in  Death Note, as evidenced by the layers upon layers that composed his elaborate plans.  Light started out as a good kid, doing well in school and heading to a bright career in police work like his father. But when he gets possession of the death note, he begins a remarkable descent into a disturbing mastermind who becomes judge, jury, and executioner for the entire world. But what truly makes Light's character stand out remains complicated throughout the story. His ultimate goal is to make the world a happier, safer place; a noble but perhaps misguided goal. His idealism and nobility still shine through when he doesn’t have the Death Note. When he temporarily relinquishes ownership of the death note to throw L off his trail, Light loses all memory of the death note and he reverts to his normal personality. His sense of morality returns and he shows more compassion for those around him. He even refuses to use Misa Amane to get information out of her when L asks him to. These qualities help to create a complex character who ends up being a detestable villain, yet you still kind of root for him to come out of this story as a winner. Light’s progression through the series is marked by his sheer brilliance. He's got a calculated and strategic mind that would make the great philosopher Machiavelli jealous, and the power of the death note adds a callousness that makes him free to use people in whatever way necessary to accomplish his goals. It’s highly entertaining to see his intricate plans play out. But Light’s messiah-like ego is just as big as his brain, and that arrogance ultimately leads to his tragic downfall.
#5. The Major (Hellsing): An evil Nazi Scientist, I know everyone is just rolling their eyes right now thinking I’m reaching for the low-hanging fruit for this one, but just hear me out here. While he may seem like an obvious pick for a list like this, The Major’s goals, however, are somehow far more unhinged than what may first appear. Despite being an impassioned orator and uncompromising strategist willing to sacrifice countless soldiers, the Major himself had no especial loyalty or passion for the cause of Millennium. His sole obsession is to plunge the world into an unending conflict to the point of endangering not only the lives of others but also his own. The Major’s leadership of Millennium, his decades espousing the genocidal ideology of fascists, and subsequent war against the Hellsing organization, the Vatican, and the entire world serve only as a pretext to satiate his insatiable bloodlust. The Major is one of anime’s most insidious villains, a charismatic, nihilistic sociopath driven purely by his sadomasochistic death wish.
#4. Shou Tucker (Fullmetal Alchemist): Now, you may be recalling that in my previous version of this list, I had Envy listed as my choice as my favorite villain from this show. Well after careful reconsideration, I’ve had to reevaluate my decision and give that spot to this creep, because while Envy’s actions were despicable to a point, they PALE in comparison to this guy! He only really appears in one episode if I remember correctly, yet in that one single episode, he made more of an impact then most villains make in a lifetime, which really says a lot about this guy’s character. What was it that made him so memorable you ask? Well, it could have something to do with the fact that this man transmutaed his own dog and daughter to create a talking chimera, which hadn’t been done before, and for what other reason…all in the name of recognition in the world of alchemy! That mere fact alone made this guy the most hated man in all of anime, the fact that he sacrificed his own family for the sake of fame, with absolutely no hint of remorse, made this guy the definition of an absolute living piece of shit and the only thing worse is how the episode ended, but I won’t spoil that one for you if you haven’t seen it.
#3. Gendo Ikari (Neon Genesis Evangelion) Up next is a man competing with the likes of Medusa Gorgon for the title of “Anime’s Worst Parent”, Gendo Ikari, please step up to the front of the congregation. Now Gendo is a man who’s list of atrocities throughout Evangelion is far too many to name, but I’m going to try my best to list them here: You have being actively complicit in the premature instigation of a biblical apocalypse, resulting in a near extinction-level event that caused the death of nearly two-thirds of the human population. Emotionally neglecting his own son Shinji estranging himself from him for over twelve years, only to offer him up as a sacrificial pawn in his bid to artificially bootstrap humanity’s ascent into evolutionary godhood so that he could be reunited with his dead wife. Cloning said wife’s DNA into a harem of emotionally dependent albino ingenues who share a dogged infatuation for their creator. And that’s not even mentioning the horrific emotional abuse and mental manipulation he inflicts on Dr. Ritsuko Akagi and her mother Naoko. All-in-all Gendo is proof positive that love not only has the capacity to overcome any obstacle, but sometimes it can truly make monsters out of us all.
#2. Griffith (Berserk): Griffith did nothing wrong; at least, not by his own drives and ambitions. A peasant who grew to become the leader of his own mercenary band, Griffith was a self-driven man who pursued his desires with unparalleled efficiency. No matter the situation or obstacle, he found a way to overcome them, whether that meant facing down an army of thousands or assassinating a country’s leaders. All the while, he amassed a legion of friends and followers who would follow him to hell and back, caring for him as much or more than he cared for them. As a result, they were dragged down with him when his ambitions saw him imprisoned, tortured and maimed. They cared little though, risking life and limb to save him and help him salvage a life with what he had left. That wasn’t enough for Griffith though. When given the option to become a demon and continue the pursuit of his dreams, he whole-heartedly accepted it; even though it came at the cost of sacrificing the lives of each and every one of his friends and allies. But that wasn’t the worst of it, to further spite the early desertion of Guts, Griffith proceeds to rape Casca, Guts’ love interest, in front of him as Guts is held down by demons. So yes, Griffith did nothing wrong by himself. By everyone else though, he did them the worst of injustices, and continues to do so with each breath he takes, all of which makes him a compelling and infuriating villain.
#1. Johan Liebert (Monster): I’ve covered a wide variety of monsters (pun fully intended) on this list, but THIS monster (again, pun FULLY intended) truly takes the cake when it comes to anime villains. A serial killer who would fit in well in any blockbuster film, Monster told the story of a man who had truly become monstrous; a charismatic, intelligent sociopath with no other goal than to kill everyone else in the world. Johan didn't just kill people, he made other people into monsters just like him. This skill of his corruption is first displayed in his youth, when he used stories to convince the other boys in his orphanage to kill all the staff, and each other. Johan is often compared to Light Yagami of Death Note, but the two couldn’t be any more different. Light's fatal (and genius) flaw is his own ego, which leads him to put his own life above all else, even his goal of changing the world. But Johan has never been afraid of death. Quite the opposite, he welcomes and embraces it, being more than willing to put his own life at risk, and one of his signature traits is how he challenges people to shoot him. Another of Jonah’s signature traits is his skills as a masterful manipulator. Where Light and other on this list had to resort to supernatural means to get what they wanted, Johan just used his own wits and knowledge of human nature. He's easily the most frightening villain on this list because he’s the truest to life villain on this list and he exposes the base human nature of his victims and of human society. Monster's remarkable story was almost entirely due to Johan alone, and it’s why he’s #1 on my list.
So that's my updated list, what did you guys think about it? Love it, hated it? Go on and tell me what you think and let me know who your favorite anime villains are. See you soon!!!

tagged by @sharlatan-ka for top 10 favorite female characters, but that's way too intimidating a question to figure out so instead I will use this opportunity to showcase a bunch of female characters that became my favorites in large part because of how much everyone hates or disregards them
1. Vivienne de Fer, Dragon Age. Easily one of the most interesting characters in all three games, certainly the most interesting character in Dragon Age: Inquisition. If people put even the tiniest fraction of the effort into her that they do into Background Man #3 the world would be an immeasurably better place.
2. Isis Ishtar, Yu-Gi-Oh! What makes me mad about this one is that Isis had the exact same abusive childhood that her brothers did (with Bonus Misogyny!) but people still act like she's fine and that she'd be a force of uncomplicated conservatism and traditionalism and wouldn't have any trauma relating to anything that happened to her. What's wrong with you guys. She is clearly super traumatized. Also I thought she was really pretty and was super hypnotized by her outfit in the Battle City finals.
3. Minerva Paradizo, Artemis Fowl. I remember reading the fifth book in this series as a young child and instantly taking a liking to her because oh wow, she's just like Artemis but a girl :) She's so cool and pretty and awesome and the type of character I can project onto the way I can absolutely not project onto the Action Girls in this series I can't wait to see what fanfiction there is about her :) And that is how I discovered the ridiculously disproportionate amount of hatred this fictional French 12-year-old girl had garnered even unto having her be written out of the sequels, and this my friends is when I began to know true hatred.
4. Mai, Avatar: The Last Avatar. Everyone was like bluh bluh she's so boring she doesn't deserve Zuko. Fuck off, she loved him, she deserves nice things, I hate you. Also she is hot.
5. Misa Amane, Death Note. Another character who I shipped with their love interest as a child solely on the principle of "She's so pretty and nice, she deserves to have whatever she wants including that ain't-shit man she's in love with." I love and defend every female character who loves somebody honestly and openly and has their love thrown back in their face, they deserve to be loved too!!! Also all the Light/L fanfiction that wrote her out or cast her as a stupid airhead made me mad. Death Note would have been better if Misa had been a serious player in the game.
Okay there are probably more but none more off the top of my head so here are 5 more female characters that I related to or saw myself in at one point or another in my life and therefore will always be a little bit special to me.
6. Mabel Pines, Gravity Falls. At Mabel's age I was actually kind of a misanthropic goth kid drawing pictures of my school blowing up which in this day and age would probably get me collected by CPS, but maybe around ages 16-19 I was very much like Mabel. I had a sticker book of over 5000 Lisa Frank stickers and I would use them to decorate my phone case with a solid collage of rainbow dolphins and princesses, like a fucking fruit.
7. Leslie Knope, Parks and Recreation. I really liked Leslie because she was too much but in a way that was cast in a completely positive light. Her meddlesomeness and earnestness and try-hard nature are things we are supposed to like about her even when it causes problems. As somebody who has historically been Too Much this was really nice to see.
8. Undyne, Undertale. Undyne is a Vriska, but good. As someone who hated Vriska because she was kind of all my worst characteristics (as I understood them) rolled into a single horrible character, so Undyne was also a comforting character to see portrayed positively.
9. Utena Tenjou, Revolutionary Girl Utena. Self explanatory.
10. I can't think of a tenth character so I'm just going to say Eowyn from Lord of the Rings but not really the film version. Film Eowyn is fine but not enough of a huge bitch. Book Eowyn is a problematic depressed bitch and she still gets defeat big-deal villains and have nice men fall in devoted love with her because she's awesome and the best.
Anyway, the end. Tagging uhhh you usual bastards @linksawakening @transcastiels @rem-ir @beanplague @yamitamiko @skullhaver @fractalwriter get cracking sluts

Can I get two pairings for matchups please? One MHA and one Death Note one! I'm 5'5, bisexual, have brown eyes, and usually brightly colored dyed hair. I'm a pretty quiet and reserved person, most of the time preferring to observe others instead, but I can joke around with and tease people I'm close to. I have a really goth/emo clothing style and listen to a lot of rock music or sad songs. I'm known for being really smart, artsy, and having a lot of patience. I love animals but never want kids.

She hummed happily as she dug through her purse and fished out the spare key to your place. Letting herself in, she grinned as your music sounded down the hall. Making her way into your room, she grinned. You were wearing an oversized kuromi shirt that she had given you and some comfy sweats. You were swinging your legs to the rock music blasting through your speakers, face hidden behind a book.
“Oh (y/n)! You’re just so cute!” She squeals, dropping her bag and throw herself onto your lap. You chuckled softly, putting the book down and pulling her into a sweet kiss. “Are you ready?” She asked mischievously, grin growing wider as you nodded.
So there you were a couple minutes later, sat in your desk chair as she applied the final layer of bleach to your hair and covering it with a plastic shower cap. She turned the music back up and started to dance around, grabbing your hand and pulling you up from the chair. Reluctantly, you had begun to dance around with her, letting the silliness consume the both of you as you waited. After rinsing and toning, she finally helped you apply the color to your hair. She had refused to tell you what color she had picked out but you trusted her to pick out some you had liked.
She straddled your lap, placed the shower cap back on your head and placed a kiss on the tip of your nose. You had spent the time waiting for the dye to set with her cuddled in your arms. It was one of the few times where she wasn’t as bubbly while she spoke. Her voice soft as she talked about her day with you.
Once the time was up, she had left left you to rinse it out while she pulled out the dress from her bag and started getting ready for your guys’ date. You had quite liked the color she picked for you, it was one you had never tried out before. Admiring the shine as you blow dried it. You had stepped out of the bathroom, dressed and ready when you froze in place. Watching as she twirled side to side in a dress you hadn’t seen before. It was a black and red loli dress. The black lace trim added a nice little touch.
“Stunning.” You whispered, approaching her and wrapping your arms around her waist and pressing a kiss to her lips. “Absolutely stunning.”
She giggled, running her hands through your freshly dyed hair and checking out your outfit, humming in appreciation. “Now let’s go! We’ll be the most attractive couple in Aoyama.”
Boy was she right.
I also match you with...
hitoshi shinso
❃ the both of you are very similar in the fact that you’re both very reserved people and tend to observe others
❃ it would definitely be a little difficult to get close to him since he’s always a little on guard
❃ but he definitely doesn’t really mind if someone is taking the time to get to know him
❃ so when the two of you do start to get to know each other, you’ll get to see him goof around and just tell lame jokes
❃ if you tease him, don’t expect him to back down
❃ once the both of you finally get to hanging out outside of school or going on dates, you’ll see each other in clothes that aren’t your school uniform
❃ he 100% digs your goth/emo style
❃ I am a firm believer that he also has some sort of the same style, or aspires to have that same style
❃ dates are always very chill
❃ he won’t ever help you re-dye your hair because he doesn’t want to mess it up but will keep you company while you do
❃ please please please dye your hair the same color as his
❃ he’d get all blushy and flustered
❃ enjoys watching you do artsy things
❃ praises anything that you do tbh even if it’s abstract and he doesn’t really get it, he still praises you for how talented you are
❃ if you both are together for long enough and start talking about the future, he doesn’t mind that you don’t want kids
❃ he would be a-okay with just being with you and maybe getting a pet to keep the two of you company

It was 2am when you had gotten a text from Toshi to go to the rooftop. You hadn’t really thought much of it as you made your way up the staircase. Your suspicions were confirmed when you saw him laid back on a blanket, head tilted upwards as he gazed up at the night sky. He had a few snacks next to him and you could hear some soft music coming from his phone.
“What’re you doing out here Toshi?” You asked softly as you approached, not wanting to scare him.
“Hmm I couldn’t really sleep.” Nodding, you took a seat next to him.
This wasn’t unusual, sometimes he’d just head over to your room or he’d come up here. He wrapped an arm around you, pulling you into his chest. His heartbeat was calming as you looked up at the twinkling night sky. Look it down at you, he saw your eyes drooping as a stifled yawn left your lips.
“Sorry if I woke you up.” You smiled when he placed a kiss on your forehead.
“S’okay Toshi, I don’t mind...” Your voice was a little slurred, his heart beating a little faster as you snuggled into his chest. “How was your day?” You asked quietly.
As he answered your question, talking about the extra training that he was doing, he ran his fingers through your hair and carefully seperating any knots he had come across. His deep voice and soft touch was starting to lull you into sleep. You fought hard to stop your eyes from dropping closed but it was no use. Sleep had finally taken over.
He had noticed your lack of response and chuckled. The soft sounds of your snores filling his heart with warmth.
“Sleep well my love.” He placed one final kiss to your head and and looked back up at the stars before finally being pulled into a deep sleep. It definitely wasn’t the first time the both of you had fallen asleep up there.
Seeing how you looked in the morning sunlight was probably his favorite thing to wake up to. It always made him unusually affectionate, meaning that you usually woke up to him pressing kisses all over your face. His favorite place was your eyelids because it never failed to rouse a sleepy giggle from your lips as you bid him a good morning.

what part of death note is misogynistic? not that I don't completely believe you, it's just been a long-ass time since I saw it and I don't remember anything I'd consider misogynistic. at least other than a bit of how Misa was shown/treated, but she was kind of an idol so I considered that more accurate to idol culture rather than misogynistic writing, and Light using her affection for him to gain favors seemed more like just something an anti-hero (or whatever you call what he is) would do.
I apparently don’t know how to do cuts, so SPOILERS AHEAD!!! Note that everything I wrote here is in regards to the manga, because I don’t consider the anime canon (even though it’s still worth the watch!).
Yagami Sachiko: loving mother and housewife, who at the end of the show has lost her husband and son definitely and almost also lost her daughter (see below), nothing she does or says contributes to the story, she is only a victim (thanks to her own son)
Yagami Sayu: Light’s little sister, an adorable little airhead, not dumb, but definitely not very smart either, prefers to read fashion magazines instead of studying for school after the timeskip she is kidnapped by the Mafia/Mello and used as a hostage to get the Death Note, afterwards she is bond to a wheelchair for some time and her mental state is ruined, Ōba Tsugumi pretty much confirmed that Sayu would never recover from her current state, here we’ve another female character that was only created to end up as a victim (thanks to her own brother)
Misora Naomi: she had a lot of potential, but of course was killed off before she could do anything to help in the fight against Kira, she is definitely smart and a tough FBI agent, but still simply accepts that her fiance decides that as soon as they got married, Naomi would retire and just be his wife and the mother of his children Naomi tricks Light at first (by giving him a wrong name to write into the Death Note) and Light also admits that Naomi is smarter than he had thought a woman could be (but he doesn’t do it in an admirable way - like with L - but more like: “Ugh, this woman is such a nuisance!”), afterwards she is killed by him in the most pathetic way (the writer really wanted me to believe that an FBI-agent would just give out her name to a young student, because he says that he can get her to L, p-a-t-h-e-t-i-c), her character was a fucking waste and I’m still angry about it!!!
Amane Misa: I don’t share the sentiment that Misa is dumb, personally I think she is quite smart (not as smart as Light or L or Near, but smart): she was able to get Light’s attention by sending messages to Sakura TV and acts quite cleverly afterwards too…until she actually meets Light, because then her IQ goes out of the window her whole character is just so cringeworthy: she falls in love with Light after knowing him for five minutes and doesn’t care if he won’t love her back, which he doesn’t (she literally says: “I don’t mind if I’m just used by you!” or something along those lines; definitely makes all the male fanboys happy!) Light is the reason why L captures Misa and puts her into that weird bondage-like outfit during interrogation (note that later when L puts Light into jail for suspicion of being Kira, Light gets a nice jail cell and isn’t bond up like in a fucking porn movie), she loses her memories for a while after giving up possession of the Death Note (at Light’s orders) and then later trades half of her lifespan for Shinigami eyes (to help Light) and the worst thing is that even though she is the most important female character in this story, we don’t even learn what happens to her at the end and why? well, once again, Ōba Tsugumi said that there simply wasn’t a way to give her an ending, Misa’s whole character just screams: this story was written by a huge misogynist
Takada Kiyomi: another smart woman, who - of course - turns into a complete idiot as soon as she meets Light and falls in love with him, she is also portrayed as being pretty arrogant and - of course - gets into a cat fight with Misa over who Light loves more (girls, he doesn’t care for either of you!) her death is also the most horrible one: forced into the back of a truck by Mello and then ordered to take all her clothes off (at least he gives her a blanket to cover herself), both Mikami and Light write her name into the Death Note to dispose of her as soon as she isn’t useful anymore, she burns to death
Halle Lidner: the only female member of the SPK and the only female character in the whole show that is shown to fight against Kira and helps to bring him down, she is intelligent, smart and strong, which still doesn’t stop her from getting used by both Mello and Near
There might be some minor female characters I forgot, but if I can’t remember them, then they really weren’t important enough. xd To sum this up, there is not a single female person in the police force that fights against Kira nor is any of L’s successors female. Near does have one female helper, but like I said above, he mostly keeps her around to get to Mello (and fucking installs cameras all over Halle’s apartment without her knowledge!). Female characters, who have potential, like Misora Naomi are killed off superfast or let themselves be used by Light because he is so handsome and charming (like Misa and Kiyomi). Female characters in this manga are pretty much either victims or sexy accessories or both.

Who Said Death Was Easy? [Death Note] Chapter Twenty
Chapter Twenty: Friend
Keiko’s POV:
“I have to admit,” Keiko said, peering over her shoulder at the blonde haired girl, “I didn’t expect that you were going to call me to hang out with you one on one like this.”
Not only that I didn’t expect it, I didn’t even want to see your face ever again...ugh, why am I so dumb? I can’t believe that I got myself stuck in this situation, now I’ll be trapped with her for who knows how long while she shops.
Keiko hadn’t expected that she would willingly agree to spend her free day with Misa Amane. In her defense, Keiko had only agreed to see Misa because she was too caught off guard to say no when she had reached out to her the other day, which lead her to be in her current situation. The two were walking together in the middle of a well known shopping district, passing by all sorts of fancy stores and street vendors.
“Oh really? Why not, Keiko-chan?” Misa replied, she had stopped in the middle of the sidewalk to inspect a short, gothic styled black dress just like the one she was already wearing that was hanging up in a store window.
She clearly already owns a lot of outfits like that, is she seriously thinking about buying another one? Amazing…I can’t believe it, what kind of budget does she have to buy clothes like that all of the time?
Keiko bit her lip, taking a moment to recollect her thoughts. Spending time thinking about Misa’s wardrobe would not be helpful in the situation at hand.
She was trying to figure out the best way to go about saying what was on her mind, “uh...well, you see...the other day, you didn’t seem that interested in getting to know me. In fact, I could almost go as far as saying that I got the feeling you didn’t even like me, but my boyfriend on the other hand…”
Or rather, all you were interested in the other day was getting to know my boyfriend, and probably because I’m his girlfriend, you pretended like I didn’t even exist. Which was quite rude...also the fact that I don’t think we have anything in common with each other, unless you count an apparent shared interest in Light Yagami.
Misa waved her hand and flashed a smile at Keiko, “oh come on! What gave you that idea, silly?”
Oh come on now, is this girl serious right now? There’s no way she could be this stupid, she has to be just playing dumb with me on purpose, right? Ugh this is so frustrating!
Keiko scrutinized the girl, looking for any sort of malice in the other girl’s expression. When she found none, she sighed, getting even more annoyed.
What is this? I can’t believe it, she actually gave me a genuine smile this time...is this her attempt to start over with me? Or is she just playing dumb on purpose? Well, if she’s playing dumb then she’s putting on a good act. Usually there’s some sort of sign, a twitching of the fingers perhaps, but with her, there’s nothing. Not even a single hint of insincerity.
Keiko closed her eyes a moment, deep in thought. After a moment, she opened them again, looking over at Misa to see if she had missed anything. However, Misa was still standing there, an innocent look on her face. She truly looked clueless.
You’ve gotta be freaking kidding me! If this was just an act, then there’s no way she could have kept a straight face for this long...so she’s actually clueless, or she wants me to think that she is. Well, either way, if she’s going to try and be nice to me today, then I really can’t be rude to her, no matter how much I might want to be, no matter how much she might annoy me. I have to try and be the bigger person here...however, I can’t really answer her question without sounding a little rude. There’s just no avoiding that. After all, she was nothing but rude to me the other day, and I have to explain her behavior to her if I want things to change in the future.
Keiko tried her best to carefully phrase her response to Misa’s question, “well...I mean, let’s see...you...you didn’t really attempt to start a conversation with me the other day. Instead you sorta acted like I didn’t exist, focusing all of your attention on my boyfriend. I couldn’t even get a word in. I felt invisible.”
Great, now I sound like a bitter, jealous girlfriend...but in all honesty, that’s sorta what I am at this moment in time. It was pretty clear to me that Misa was into Light, no matter what she might try to say to me about that today. It usually doesn’t bother me this much...a lot of girls are into my boyfriend, but in this case, it’s different...because, you don’t go to lunch with someone and openly flirt with them while their girlfriend is also present! ...especially if you don’t even acknowledge said girlfriend’s existence! That’s awfully impolite, in girl language, it’s like begging for a war to break out. If she truly wants to start over with me, she can’t ever so something like that again.
Misa’s POV:
Wow being nice to this girl sure is going to be hard! She keeps on calling Light her boyfriend! Well, I suppose she is, but that should be me next to him, not her! Ugh...just remember Misa, you’re doing this for Light...it’s all for him. Like he said, I just have to play nice with her until I make him fall for me...hopefully that won’t take too much longer.
Misa gave Keiko another one of her famous smiles, one she usually reserved specifically for her fans, to buy her a couple more seconds of time. She knew that she had to think of something believable to say to Light’s girlfriend, and fast. Even though she was a rather adept actress, her little clueless act couldn’t last forever. No matter how good she was at it, because her patience was threatening to wear thin, she had to think of something else.
...I can’t slip up now! I have to make Light proud of me...no, I will make Light proud of me! This is all for him...ugh, the great lengths I have to go...well it’ll be well worth it in the end, when I myself become Light’s girlfriend.
“Keiko-chan,” Misa started, she brushed a few loose strands of hair away from her face before suddenly bowing a little in Keiko’s direction, “I’m sorry I came across as being rude! I figured, since Light-kun was the one who invited me to eat with you two, that I should be extra attentive to him...I didn’t want him to think I was being ungrateful or anything.”
Misa glanced up, inspecting Keiko’s face, which was scrunched up in a deep concentration. It was quiet for a few seconds, and Misa thought that the anticipation was going to kill her.
Well, did she buy it?
Light’s girlfriend swallowed hard before finally replying, “uh, apology accepted...I guess...that makes sense…but still, that doesn’t really explain why you wanted to hang out with me today? You barely even know me. I mean you could’ve the other day...if you had only tried...”
Misa sighed and straightened herself out.
To be honest, I would much rather just kill you here and now rather than hang out with you, that way I could have Light all to myself, but I can’t let you know that...so I have to think of something...
“Okay…” she started, drawing a breath, “to be completely honest with you, I don’t have very many friends that are girls, so I never really know how to converse with them, which was also why I didn’t speak to you the other day. I’m just a lot more comfortable talking to boys. As far as today goes, I wanted to go shopping, but of course, I need a second opinion before I can buy anything, and I can’t invite a guy along, he’d be bored to tears. So I thought of you. I know I don’t know you that well, but hey, what better way to get to know a person than to go clothes shopping with them...that’s okay with you, right, Keiko-chan?”
I have to admit, that part about not having that many friends is actually is true...girls don’t like being my friend for some reason. But she can’t know that I love Light right now, I just have to make her think it was all just a misunderstand the other day. She can’t be suspicious of me, that would really ruin things.
Keiko’s POV:
Keiko carefully watched Misa’s face as she spoke, still looking for anything suspicious. However, she found nothing. While what she was saying was all coming out of left field, she had yet to find any ill intention behind her words. Of course, her not being suspicious could be suspicious on its own, but she figured that Misa was too thick to truly be a threat to her. The girl didn’t exactly come across as being an evil genius.
Ugh...to be honest, I really would rather not spend time with you, Misa Amane, especially since you were so rude to me before...however, since you are being completely honest with me, and it appears that you mean well this time, I suppose I should give you a second chance...even though we don’t even have a compatible fashion sense...
“Uhhh,” Keiko awkwardly started, “in that case, I guess that’s alright. However...” she trailed off, looking Misa straight in the eyes, to let her know she meant business.
But, there’s still one more thing before we hang out…whether she realizes it or not, she’s interested in Light. However, Light and I are boyfriend and girlfriend, and if this girl truly wants to be my friend, then she will just have to accept that...I can be forgiving, but there’s only so much I can take. So I have to get that point across to her...
“What is it, Keiko-chan?” Misa asked, giving her a wide eyed look, “what’s on your mind?”
Keiko stepped closer to Misa until the two were only a couple feet away from each other.
“I realize I will sound a little bitter, so I’m sorry in advance…” Keiko flashed an apologetic look towards Misa, “but honestly I was a little uncomfortable with how much attention you were giving my boyfriend the other day...you see, I really like Light-kun. I had a pretty bad impression of you the first time we met because I thought that you were into him…of course, with what you told me now, I realize you were just trying to be friendly...however, now that you know that it bothered me, I know that you won’t do it again.”
There, perfect. Subtle, but still forceful. In other words, it gets the point across while still being diplomatic.
Feeling rather powerful, Keiko continued on, “after all, this is a fresh start for us...I wouldn’t want anything to ruin that…”
Keiko gave Misa a friendly smile, leaning her arm up against the wall of the building beside her.
“R-right, a fresh start,” Misa repeated, looking over at Keiko with an unreadable expression on her face, “so that means there’s a lot more to come...heheh.”
Her tone was friendly, but a sudden chill washed over Keiko as Misa spoke. Perhaps it was just because the wind happened to be picking up, but it made Keiko waver a little bit, taking the little bit of power she still felt along with it.
Did I just make the right decision to start things over with Misa? Or should I never have given her a second chance…?
L’s POV:
L took a bite of his cake, thinking over the report that Mogi had given him earlier, hmm...what’s this? According to Mogi, another girl entered the picture…while it was just a chance meeting, them running into each other, I still cannot overlook it. I can’t overlook anything currently happening in Light Yagami’s life, especially not an event like this.
He shifted slightly in his chair, closing his eyes in hopes that he would be able to think more clearly.
After all, despite how nice Light Yagami may be, why would he bother to invite a girl he just met to lunch with him and his girlfriend? Or invite her over to his house the following evening? I suppose it could have just been a distraction...or perhaps it was just an innocent lunch, followed by an innocent evening of hanging out together...but still, it’s suspicious…I suppose that Light could be cheating on Kagami-san with this other girl they met, that could make sense, but it doesn’t seem to fit Light’s personality. With Light’s personality, it’s more likely that he’d be Kira. in fact, that is what makes the most sense. So, if Light is Kira, then there is a very high possibility that girl is the Second Kira. Either way, it would make sense as to why Light would want this girl to be friends with his girlfriend...that way, whether Light is truly Kira, or cheating on her for this girl, she wouldn’t suspect them.
“Yagami-san,” L opened his eyes and lazily glanced over at Light’s father, “if I die within the next few days...then please know that means your son is Kira.”
Mr. Yagami angrily stood up from his chair, his hand balled up in a fist by his side. His nostrils flared, and he shot an accusatory look at the detective.
“W-what did you just say, Ryuzaki-san?!” he demanded, Light’s father was turning redder by the second, and there was a vein threatening to pop in his forehead. It was clear that he was trying hard to hold back.
“Yeah, that’s what I wanna know too!” Matsuda chimed in, also standing up, “what are you even talking about?! So this means, after all this time, you still suspect him?!”
L took another bite of his cake before calmly continuing on, “honestly? Yes. There is still a chance in my eyes that your son, Kagami-san’s boyfriend, is Kira. So, that being said, if anything happens to me, I’ve asked Watari-san to make himself available to you. If that were to happen, I’d be counting on you to continue with the investigation by arresting your son, no matter how hard that might be for you.”
“Ryuzaki-san! D-don’t you dare even talk like that!” Mr. Yagami took a couple steps forward, making it so he was face to face with the detective, “you said before that Light was pretty much cleared of suspicion, and now all of a sudden you’re telling me this?! You must know how frustrating this is to me...and I just want the truth from you...honestly, how much do you still suspect my son?!”
L gave a slight laugh as he looked up at the Chief Yagami, “you want me to tell the truth...well, the truth is, I don’t even know what to think anymore,” he admitted.
He gave a deep sigh before continuing on, “I have never been in a situation like this before. If Kira and the Second Kira are working together right now, then things aren’t looking too good for me. In other words, I would be in big trouble...given that, I might not be thinking as clearly as I normally do, so I could be wrong...maybe I still consider him a suspect simply because we don’t have anyone else...but still, if I do happen to die soon, please assume that your son is Kira. At that point, that would be the most logical explanation.”
I have to admit, even though I would love to be right about this, a small part of me doesn’t want Light to be Kira. After all, I suppose I sort of consider him a friend now. And it would be upsetting to have a mass murderer as a friend...however, him being Kira is the only thing that makes the most sense to me...
L rested his head on his knees, watching the rest of the Task Force as his words sank in. Light’s father had retreated back to his original seat, but he was still visibly upset.
On the off chance that I am right, and Light Yagami is Kira...how far would be he be willing to go in order to achieve his ideal world? I know that Kira wants to get rid of me because I am the biggest threat to him right now, but once I’m gone...what will happen to everyone else who is investigating him? Will he leave them be, because the rest of the Task Force all suspect he’s innocent? Or, would he go so far as to kill his own father, or his girlfriend, if it came down to that? Light would never be able to do that, but Kira would without even batting an eyelash. So which one is he? Hopefully I can figure that out before I die...in the meantime, I have no choice but to make a sneak attack...it can’t be helped. After all, this is all just a wager now.

Light’s POV:
Up until he spotted a certain detective sitting in that odd way of his on the bench, with his knees drawn up against his chest and nose stuck in a book, Light had been having a good day.
After all, he had every reason up until that point to celebrate because it looked like Misa had successfully started gaining his girlfriend’s friendship. The two went clothes shopping the other day, and today, rather than spending her free time after classes with Light, Keiko had informed him that she had made plans with Misa to grab coffee together.
That and the fact that he would soon be able to get rid of the infamous L once and for all. With Kira and the Second Kira finally teaming up together, L was essentially toast just waiting to get burned.
However, when Light saw L, his blood ran cold and his good mood was gone. He knew that nothing good was about to come out of this interaction, he could feel it in his bones.
Light stopped dead in his tracks, inspecting L, his eyes becoming narrow slits.
“Oh, hey, Light-kun!” L cheerfully called out, peering over the book he was holding, “how’s it going?!”
Dammit, you’re probably here to try and trick me into revealing myself, aren’t you? You want to catch me off guard...well, too bad for you I know what game you’re trying to play at. I know you want me to admit that I’m Kira, and that I’ve worked out a plan with the Second Kira to eliminate you...but it won’t work. I won’t crack that easily.
Light quickly changed his expression into one of concern as he walked over to the detective, eliminating the space between the two of them, “Ryuga, is it really okay for you to be here like this? Didn’t you say that you were afraid to appear out in public?”
“I did,” the detective admitted, setting down the book next to him, “but I realized...as long as you’re not Kira, I have nothing to worry about. I should be safe.”
He stopped a moment, motioning for Light to sit down. Seeing no other option, Light took a seat next to him.
Now satisfied, L continued on, “you see, the fact is you and Kagami-san are the only ones here on the outside that know me as L. I already know for a fact that Keiko-chan isn’t Kira, and like I said, as long as you aren’t Kira, then I’m completely safe. However, in the unlikely event that I die within the next few days, I have instructed your father and everyone else at headquarters to assume that you are Kira.”
W-what? Damn him! I expected him to question me, another test of my abilities, not for him to tell me something like this! He’s deliberately cornered me so I can’t make any sudden moves! He’s distracting me from my goal of getting rid of him!
Light fought to keep his face neutral, as he knew that L was carefully scrutinizing every move he made.
“Besides,” L added, “as long as I don’t die, coming here would be worth it. To-Oh University is a pretty fun place to be, there are so many interesting people here...like you, Light-kun...and Keiko-chan...speaking of which, where is that girlfriend of yours? I thought you two were joined at the hip.”
Light chuckled, “very funny, Ryuga. I must say, you have quite the sense of humor...anyway, I’m afraid my girlfriend won’t be joining us. She’s out with a friend of hers.”
“Ah, so would this be Maki-chan or Akito-chan, her high school friends? I know she hasn’t seen either of them in ages…” L started, but then he smirked a little, looking straight into Light’s eyes.
“Hmm...perhaps, could it be...she’s made a new friend recently? After all, people say that you meet lots of new people while studying away at university…” L’s thumb wandered near his mouth, and Light knew that the detective was still deliberately trying to make him slip up.
This confirms it, he already knows of Misa Amane’s existence...he knows that my girlfriend and I quite literally ran into her a few days ago, he maybe even knows that she was at my house that same evening. He certainly knows that Misa’s become Keiko’s friend recently. He’s trying to find reason to suspect that she could be the Second Kira...however, I won’t give him anything to work with. I’ve been very careful in concealing Misa’s true identity. I can’t throw that all away now.
Light considered his next words carefully, “well, now that you mention it...the other day, when Keiko-chan and I were out taking a walk, I happened to quite literally run into someone...considering she had her lunch box in her hands, I made quite the mess on the ground. So, to make up for spilling her lunch, my girlfriend and I invited her to eat lunch with us...that’s who Keiko-chan’s with right now, we bonded when we ate lunch together that day.”
“I see,” L commented, “well how...interesting, Light-kun...from what I recall, you aren’t normally that clumsy.”
“Well no I’m not. You’re right, Ryuga,” Light laughed a little, running a hand through his hair, “but I was a little distracted by my girlfriend at the time…”
“Hmm...well...I can see why, Kagami-san’s a very distracting person,” L smirked, looking over at Light with a glint in his eyes, “so I can’t blame you there.”
Dammit, a distracting person?! And just what does he mean by calling my girlfriend that?! It’s like he knows exactly what to say to piss me off.
Light could feel himself getting rather irritated with the detective. All he wanted was to give him some sort of sarcastic remark, maybe even slap him.
Even though he still denied any feelings for Keiko, Light didn’t like the way that L was talking about his girlfriend. It was almost too much for him to handle.
However, before Light had a chance to respond, L suddenly stood up.
He flashed Light an innocent smile, acting like his little comment before hadn’t happened, which infuriated him even more,“anyway, since I’m here, would you like to play another game of tennis?”
Light forced a pleasant smile, “sure, Ryuga. That’d be fun...but be prepared to lose again.”
A chuckle escaped the detective’s mouth, “don’t be so arrogant, Light-kun…you never know, I could end up winning.”
“I suppose you’re right,” Light laughed a little, “I guess we’ll just have to see what happens.”

PROPAGANDA
MISA AMANE (DEATH NOTE) (CW: Imprisonment, Torture)
1.) Misa is treated so phenomenally poorly by the writers of Death Note. She is devoted enough to Kira’s cause to sacrifice half her lifespan for the additional power to see people’s names just by seeing their faces (you need a face and a name to kill someone with the Death Note), and she takes the time to understand everything about it. She, a random civilian, is able to find Kira all by herself by being clever, and she’s very devoted to Kira and Kira’s cause. You would think this would earn her some respect and make her a force in the narrative in opposition both to L’s lawfulness and Light’s god complex (because Misa is a true believer, while Light is some dude with a god complex and a willingness to commit mass murder to further it), but no, the moment she meets Light she falls hopelessly in love with him (not just Kira according to her), pledges her loyalty to him, and agrees to mindlessly follow him, with her sole condition being that he can’t date other girls (and if he tried to, she’d kill the other girl; note how this is not a threat on LIGHT’S life) and has to date her and at least pretend to love her. You would think, again, that these would become problems that potentially fuck Light over, but they are mild inconveniences at best. And, despite her ability to find Kira and only get found out by bullshit trace DNA and pollen nonsense that she, again as a random civilian with no knowledge of forensics that honestly sound SO FAKE (really, trace pollen from something that is super rare and exists near her apartment but few other places? Trace pollen that got in the shit she put together INDOORS? Come on, that’s SUCH bullshit, and SO contrived), had no way of knowing existing. Because she DID circumvent all the ways she’d incriminate herself that a normal person would know about, but because they got her on the SMALLEST SHIT, they’re like “oh, she’s an idiot.” And it’s not in a “oh, look at these guys, underestimating her” way, it’s in an “oh yeah, they’re 100% right, she’s an idiot” way.
EVERYONE in universe regards her as an idiot, both when she’s just known as the Second Kira and once her identity has been found out. The creators in a bonus book rank her knowledge at 3/10 and her creativity at 4/10, which is SUCH bullshit when all of her plans (the few ones they let her have) make creative use of her powers and talents. Like, she sent a video into a tv station that contained a journal entry that had multiple dates on it, with one being clear bait for the police to approach, one being irrelevant, and one containing information that only someone with a Death Note would understand, and she uses this to indicate a time and place they should meet. Except she doesn’t meet him there, she dresses up in a plain outfit and wig that look NOTHING like her and sits and watches the crowd, waiting for someone to walk by who is missing the date of their death above their head (an indicator that that person has a Death Note), and then goes home and researches him online. That is objectively clever! Even if the cops were there, which they were, they would never notice her (and they didn’t) or figure out that she got the information she needed. HOW is that not creative? HOW does that support her being an idiot? Light tricked a woman (Naomi Misora, who deserves her own entry) into giving her his name one time in a way that almost gave him away, and that was regarded as sooooo clever, but this is stupid? Ohba, explain. Matsuda, who I love dearly but also who has never a plan half as clever or interesting as hers, gets knowledge at 4/10 and creativity at 5/10. It’s misogyny, there’s no other reason that makes sense.
And when her anonymous videos that she used to draw out Kira mention the shinigami and notebooks very subtly, in a way the police wouldn’t understand, Light is like “Second Kira, you IDIOT”, but meanwhile, when Light had a victim mention shinigami in a note written before they died for the sole purpose of fucking with L, the narrative is like “Oh, look at him, he’s so clever mentioning shinigami when L has no way of knowing how important and real they are.” The double standard of it all!
Also, ok, so, the reason L dies is because Misa’s shinigami Rem fell in love with her and wants to protect her, even if it results in Rem’s death (which it does because a shinigami dies if they kill someone for the purpose of saving someone else). However, Misa is not involved AT ALL in getting Rem to go through with this. Light manipulates Rem into doing it, and the fact that this also doesn’t bite him in the ass, even though Misa and Rem were friends, is INSANE. Their logic is clearly that obviously Misa would never rebel against Light because it’s not like she has an internal life and feelings outside of devotion to Light, and if she did, she couldn’t do anything because she’s an idiot, so it’s not worth exploring. God forbid she have agency and be a force in the narrative, even though it would make the story more interesting and complex. She doesn’t even need to be super smart for that! The creators THEMSELVES rank her social skills, charm, and initiative at 10/10, and she gets to use them all of one (1) time. They just keep not letting her do things, and it’s at the expense of their story EVERY SINGLE TIME.
Also, after this, she’s gives up her Death Note (which means she loses her memories involved with being a Death Note user) when Light tells her to, and then she’s just written out of the story, with the exception of her looking sexy, being a jealous girlfriend, and being implied to die, even though TWO shinigami died for her and thus gave her their lifespans. Yeah, she halved one of those, gained the other, then halved that again, but she should have gained more than a total of, like, eight years from that! But no, Light’s story is done, so why would Misa survive when he didn’t?
That’s not to mention the weird fetish-y way she was tied up when imprisoned. She wasn’t in her normal clothes that she had been apprehended in, no, she was put in this raggedy, white straightjacket-looking thing, with a blindfold and her arms crossed over her and fastened behind her back. She was kept on some slab and set upright for FIFTY DAYS. Like, look at this shit:
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Light, who was also imprisoned, kept his regular clothes and only had his arms tied behind his back normally. The only difference in the powers they were assumed to have is that she could kill with just a face. So why the weird outfit, huh, Ohba, Obata? And, like, they sell FIGURES OF IT in the real world, people can BUY her in this outfit and DISPLAY it, and it is CLEARLY because they think some Death Note fans would find it arousing. And if the whole show was just fetish shit in all directions, then, sure, fine, go for it, but it is JUST her in this moment! And, like, if it was supposed to show something about L and how he's kinda fucked up like that, you would think it would, like, come up again or something but it gets a fleeting mention ONCE and then THAT IS IT. Why do this, literally why??? Like, how high did they get off their own misogyny to come up with this?
I just. I can't with how they treat Misa, I CANNOT. Like, I know they love to jerk off Light and talk about he's sooooo smart and clever and charming, but this goes beyond putting her down because they want to lift him up. They put her in to cause some chaos a couple of times, pull some fetish shit, provide the method for killing L (but not do it herself or even play any active role at all in it), and then they're done with her. She's a convenient tool to the writers, not a character, unlike most of the male characters whose emotional reactions to Light's bullshit come back to haunt him. For example: the way his responsibility for his father's death and his dismissal of his father during his big confession lead Matsuda, who had liked Light but had a stronger emotional connection to his dad, to shoot him in a way that stops Light from using his Death Note scrap to get out of being surrounded after being definitively revealed to be Kira. And like, I love that moment for Matsuda, it's great, my favorite scene in the whole show, but why don't Misa's emotions and bonds get to drive her to action in a way that is inconvenient to Light? Fine, she has unending devotion, why not have THAT do anything either? And it's because this is the same type of treatment all the female characters in Death Note get (although Misa gets it worse by a country mile), being a POTENTIAL to MILD problem for Light and/or a person to use the Death Note in his place but little else, or someone to get kidnapped, it makes it clear that Misa's treatment here is due to misogyny that infects the whole text, and it just. It rankles.
2.) Despite having the potential to be an interesting character (unhinged death note who doesn't have excuses for killing people like Light does, actual connection to her Shinigami), she just gets reduced to Light's plaything and fangirl, literally keeling over backwards for him. She ends up having nothing to do in the story, being reduced to this hollow shell of what she could have been, with her only personality trait being that she's obsessed with Light, even after he routinely ignores her and even cheats on her. Every woman in Death Note gets put on the sidelines so the male characters can take the spotlight, but Misa easily has the biggest wasted potential of any of them.
3.) Left as flat, annoying, and obsessed with a guy who treats her badly the entire series. Could have had a lot more development but she just gets treated like an idiot at every turn despite HER INTRODUCTION including a pretty clever plan actually. As the series goes on it feels like they make her less and less intelligent just to justify why she's keeping the exact same dynamic with light. Honestly the more i think about it the weirder that gets.
I don't think it's a problem in itself to have a character who isn't especially intelligent or is easily manipulated or is an obsessive fan, and you can make really interesting stories using characters with those traits. But DN just did not do that, and honestly I think if Misa was written a bit smarter (not necessarily super detective chess nonsense smart, just having actual fucking agency and being able to come up with plans of her own) the series would be way better for it. You get a whole new dimension to the conflicts and scheming if she's acting on her own terms, or trying to help and doing something unexpected, or just generally having another character with a death note and complicated ties to the main characters and actual human agency. Like even STAYING obsessed with Light she could have been so much more and the specifics of her motivations could be explored in more interesting detail than just making her a rabid fangirl even having spent enough time with the object of her obsession that the dynamic should have evolved.
She's in a classic of the "so misogynistic it turned out gay" genre and like good for the gays i guess but holy shit she got done so dirty. She deserved better and DN would have been not only better in the "don't be a jerk towards entire groups of people" sense but also probably better as a drama intrigue situation if the authors had a crumb of respect for her.
Also due to the story events she's set to die pretty young and this is barely addressed? It's a sidenote really and a lot of people die but Rem is the only one who gives a shit and their reaction is not focused on for long. I will not start about her and Rem because that will make this much much longer and is relevant more to why i like Misa than to why she got fucked over. (But hey it's kinda fucked that she definitely did have people who supported and cared for her and they all got stripped away and it's not even played as fucked up that this woman has no support network save for one guy who would kill her in a heartbeat if he thought it would help him and also that Misa can't fully see the people who do care about her until it's too late and this is never played as dark and serious in a series that thrives on being dark)
It's just really really obvious that the authors do not see or write her as a person.
tl;dr SHE'S THE SECOND FUCKING KIRA and she gets treated like a PROP for most of the story. gets downgraded to scenery actually later in the story
actual tl;dr: introduced with an interesting plan and motivations worth exploring, slowly has her undeveloped personality steamrollered further and is treated like a tool and a prop for the rest of the series.
NEZUKO KAMADO (DEMON SLAYER)
1.) She has next to no speaking lines even in flashbacks (literally wears a gag for Plot Reasons) and is never developed beyond being ~Tanjiro’s little sister in need of protection forever~ EVEN THOUGH we can see that she’s an extremely powerful fighter and could benefit greatly from proper training. She is the most significant female character in the anime (I haven’t read the manga) and she has no agency whatsoever. Also, more egregiously, she’s like 12 years old and acts like an infant but her power-up form is an adult woman with cleavage for some reason??? Why did they put cleavage on a 12-year-old???
2.) She’s the best character in the show. Obviously. And yet, look what they did to my girl. The whole point of having two protagonists in a show is so they can talk to each other and convey info to the audience, but they completely just silence Nezuko and make Tanjiro communicate via (constant, incessant) inner monologue. She has so much potential - she’s a scared little girl, who’s gradually becoming a monster and doesn’t know what to do about it, who can fight just as well as her brother but is terrified of what doing so makes her. And yet, the show relegates her to a walking motivation - she spends almost all her time not fighting literally locked up in a box, and wears an honest-to-goodness GAG that prevents her from having any meaningful dialogue contribution. Like, it doesn’t get much less subtle than that? She could and should have been the best character in the show, but instead both the worldbuilding and the story go FAR out of their way to ensure that she’s rarely seen, basically never heard, and only meaningful for inspiring Our Hero to Be Manly.
3.) Best Girl. She’s the reason I watched the show, and frankly, it is a crime that the show quite literally in-universe silences and hides her away so that its annoying male MC can inner-monologue.

ABBIE MILLS (SLEEPY HOLLOW) (CW: Racism)
1.) Abbie starts out as one of the two protagonists of the show, only to get almost entirely sidelined as early as season 2, getting less and less screen time and allowed no relationships, either platonic or romantic, while the other lead Ichabod Crane has a seemingly infinite amount of them. It got bad enough that her actor wanted to leave the show, which they did by having her sacrifice her soul in the season 3 finale for the male lead to live, and then they ended the show after season 4 anyway, because guess what, it’s a bad idea to entirely sideline and eventually kill off one of your leads!
2.) She was killed by the narrative to advance her white male co-protagonist’s plotline and I’m still mad about it, Abbie deserved so much better. This is an example of racism in the narrative too and it extended to the production of the show, see news coverage:
3.) Look, I only watched the first season but they killed her off the show SHE was a co lead of!! Misogyny AND racism, all rolled into one. I remember seeing the fan reactions and I was so mad on their behalfs. They wrote her off her own show and from what I recall, gave her less and less screentime leading up to that. Truly, she deserved so much better and I will always be upset by this.
