About Never-Cove

Captain Hook is called the Great captain. Never-cove would have a statue of him in the town square. It’s very beach town like with many ports. It’s a melting pot of different cultures and has welcoming atmosphere with many people coming and going.Some of the best ships known to sail came from Never-Cove itself founded and built up by sailors and pirates.Fishing,Shipping,boat construction/repair and cruises are the main industries there.Never-cove has a good relationship with merfolks and rumored to have fairies around.

Summary:

Never-Cove’s annual event celebrating the Great Captain has come. Come grab your crew to participate in tasks to win the title of best Pirate crew and even the surprise treasure.If not come and enjoy the festivities, explore a real pirate ship, dance and sing along to old songs and more!

For the participants you must form a group of no more than 8 people and appoint someone who be the crew’s captain also their first mate but be warned if you don’t take care of your crew they could overthrow you.It’s important to pick someone who is going to lead you to victory.

Luckily Fallon has invited others at NRC to to come join the crew - Floyd Leech, Azul Ashengrotto, Ruggie Bucchi ,Jamil Viper and of course Grim and Yuu/MC

There are 2 events that are held with a scenario (optional)

Pirate Ship

Your Crew will be staying on a pirate ship for 3 days.The crew will be completing tasks like fishing, maintaining the ship etc earning points on teamwork and proficiency,on the 3 day you’ll be able to sail out into a certain area having to navigate your way to a destination marked on a provided map. Once you get to your destination you’ll have to use clues around to find treasure and bring it back safely

Scenario (optional)

On the 3rd day when everyone was getting ready to sail a rival group decided to do some sabotaging. Once the your ship was ready to sail all of a sudden it jets out the port at full speed. Once everything has settled everyone realizes that your in the middle of the ocean with no connection. Now the crew needs to use their skills to get back to mainland

Treasure hunt 

For the young ones and people who prefer land can join the treasure hunt. You’ll will be finding 3 different treasures over the course of 3 days. You’ll will have to navigate through finding clues,puzzles and obstacles to get to your treasures and will need to protect it since other Crews will try and steal your treasures. There is one main treasure you need to protect so be careful if someone plants bait to trick others. The Crews who still have their 3 main treasure gets to go to the last round where all teams are going a one item . Whoever brings it back wins

Kids don’t steal from each other and would be around town square or the beach

Scenario (optional)

On the final round facing off against a rival team someone used magic and teleported your crew to some unknown place with fairies? Checking in on everyone you realize that you still have the treasure to win but how will you get back? Will you try to get the fairies to help or will the crew do it on their own?

ohhhh nimdok, where to start with you….

i have been dreading doing him because he pisses me off so bad but i actually had some decent fun with him :D. designing him and branching out farther away from his canon self was nice, but im not touching his backstory or personality really, that stays about the same for me in my head.

speaking of whichhh! like benny, i understand how the game makers had a short amount of time to fit an entire character arc of an old man undoing his deeply internalized racism/xenophobia/ableism in a singular short scenario, but unlike benny i actually somehow like his better?? nimdok had a lot more to get over (well not saying being a dickhead murderer isn’t a lot but 😭) and i enjoyed seeing him actually help out the people he would’ve previously turned in. it still feels a little hollow/unrealistic because again, he’s been like this his whole life, but considering how much AM takes him away from the group to (most likely) psychologically torture him for his actions he’s probably had a bit of a revelation.

doing his scenario was unfortunately funny at times because of the strange way we had to go about redeeming him with the golem guy😭giving him a smooch caught me off guard but ykw? i’ll take it for being able to kill mengele like immediately afterward. also speaking of whichhhh…

i would go into more detail about nimdok and mengeles relationship to give it some depth because god i love me some queers, but that is??? a real fucking guy???? a real life monster???? im less than comfortable picturing the fucker in my mind, much less giving him depth with a character who i also don’t like. like why ship ur essentially OC with a REAL LIFE N/AZI??? just another one of the reasons harlan elision creeps me out. (if that just pissed you off google search him s/a-ing 2 people, marrying a 19 year old when he was in his 40s and defending a child r/apist i really don’t feel like arguing with you. the guy was a horrible fucking person and he makes me sick, i just like this franchise.)

You were left behind. After the war, you searched and searched and searched, and yet he was nowhere to be found. And still you searched for him. Until finally you could search no more. You had to accept that your beloved had moved on before you—without you.

You would have descended into madness if not for the black invitation that found its way to you. With no reason to continue with something fruitless, you moved on. Improving yourself to make up for the lost time spent on him. So, when the carriage came for you, you dawned the ceremonial robes, entered the Gate, and descend into your rebirth.

“The nature of your soul is…Ignihyde.”

You felt neither upset nor elated. You simply returned to your seat, and waited for when your Dorm Leader escorted you back to your dorm. However, right as the ceremony was brought to an end, one final student made their appearance.

“…Maeda Yuuna.”

“The nature of your soul is…unclear to me.”

Then all hell broke loose. The creature in Headmage’s arms broke free from his grasp at the sudden revelation of a magicless student, claiming that it would take her place, but when he was refused, he retaliated. He turned his blue flames upon any and all that it would reach.

And just as quickly as it had begun, it ended.

“The verdict will come afterwards. Head they sentence. Off With Your Head.”

But then, and only for you, did it ramp up again.

“Ah. Just as I'd expected.” You froze, every hair on your body standing on end. “I figured I'd come down and see for myself whether Malleus had made an appearance. But once again, he was evidently not informed that his presence was required at an official ceremony.”

It was him.

The one you had been searching for.

The one who had left you behind.

He heard you—felt you.

And he did nothing.

You felt your Aether begin to unravel from you, moving toward him. You snatched it back up, and locked it away.

Leaving it to fester while you lied in wake.

And then it was October, a whole month had passed, and you hadn’t had any contact with him.

“Understood. Stay strong until I return!”

And it seemed like it would continue to be that way.

“Grrrrraaaaawwwwwrrrrr!”

“Why does this keep happening to us? This is soooo not my hashtag brand!” Cater whined with a grimace.

Until a chance presented itself.

“If you’re afraid, feel free to run.” Riddle brandished his staff.

“If that’s the case, then I’ll be retreating.” You spoke up, taking a step away from the group. “Good luck, everyone.”

You didn’t look back to see their shocked passes. You’d come up with a better excuse later. For now, you had something more important than some child’s tantrum.

You traced his Aether, finding him in the Diasomnia dormitory instead of the main building to find the staff like he said.

You barged into his room, not bothering for the proper etiquette. “You’re a coward.”

His back was facing you, and he didn’t turn when you called him that. He simply continued to fumble with something in his hands.

“I am.”

“You left without a trace.”

“I did.”

“Without me.”

“Yes.”

“Why?” Your voice raised, Aether flaring out. You felt his against yours, instinctually reaching out, but you swatted it away. “You left me alone for so long! And nothing! And you can barely say anything to me! Did any of that—our vows—mean anything to you? Anything at all?!” You grabbed his shoulder, roughly turning him to face you.

“Of course it did!” He was telling the truth, the taste of his Aether flooded your senses. You knew he was telling the truth, but…

“Then…why couldn’t I come with you…?” You crumpled into him, finally releasing all 485 years of…everything.

He followed you to the floor, and held you close. “I’m sorry. For everything, I am.”

“Then explain.” You felt the weight of him, physical and magical, on you. As if that story had been wearing down his shoulders for centuries now.

However, right as he opened his mouth, three sharp knocks at his door interrupted him.

“Father, I—” It was a silver haired human boy with periwinkle eyes. “Oh, it’s you.”

You tilted your head. “And who am I, child?”

“You are Father’s partner.”

You felt his fear, your rage, an ice-cold feeling, then—

Nothing.

“Oh.” You pulled yourself from him, and stood. “So, he’s told you about me, hm?”

The child’s brows furrowed, but he nodded.

“Tell me, in these stories, did you ever get the feeling of if I was dead or alive?”

The child paused, thinking back to whatever tales were spun for him.

“Alive.”

“Splendid.” You smiled, turning to face him. “Then please—” You slipped off your ring, and dropped it into his lap.

“Consider me dead.”

I'll be 100, I came up with the plot of this while in the shower, and completely forgot what the request said, so that's why it's kinda sorta backwards premise wise. As for the fluff...the story wanted to be written this way. Don't worry, the ending hurt me too, I actually had to pause and before writing it because I knew it would be really mean.

Y’all, Starscream was never a good character and never had a redemption either. And before you go yelling at me, yes I saw episode 21 and 26 and I still stand by my statement.

Here’s why. (Kinda went over it here).

1. His friendship. This is basically the main reason why everyone thinks of him as a good guy. Hashtag did change him and made him more caring but only towards Hashtag. He didn’t really care much about the other Maltos. Yes that is some progress but doesn’t entirely redeem a character. Having a villain to care for a loved doesn’t make that villain a good guy.

2. His past. Starscream has told everyone how Megatron has been treating him but seeing how Megatron acts when he broke out shows that Starscream isn’t gonna be all that innocent and probably not an easy guy to catch either. Starscream has probably messed around with Megs a lot and I’ll say it here. Both have been abusing each other and aren’t entirely victims either.

3. His lack of care for others (other than Hashtag). Starscream now cares about himself and Hashtag and no one else. Sure that’s because only Hashtag wanted to believe him and listen but then he doesn’t care for his seekers teammates who literally still follow him around even when there doesn’t seem to be an established leader. Skywarp and Nova Storm still stick with each other and Starscream and he was fine with sacrificing them. When he came to help the Terrans to take down Mandroid it’s just because his life was at stake as well! Also he wanted to join in to give Megatron a beating NOT because he liked/cared for the Maltos. I know he said something along the lines of: “We’re here to return the favour” but that could mean anything too.

Casting Call for @spacecadet-sims' Double Shot At Love: Beguiling the Heirs

Atticus and Imogen Gryswald are world-renown philanthropists who, up until now, have spent their time leading fast-paced, free-wheeling lives without too much of a care for finding steadiness and security (outside of monetarily).

The elder Grywalds have had enough of the near-scandal filled escapades of their darling twins, however, and have offered them an ultimatum: find spouses or be disinherited.

But where's the fun in doing anything traditionally?

I'm looking for 14 sims to fill this double shot at love challenge; 7 for Atticus and 7 for Imogen. This will be mostly story-based with some gameplay sprinkled throughout.

Quick FAQs from my last attempt at this challenge:

Can we submit more than one sim? Yes. There's not a guarantee that both will be chosen, but please feel free to submit two unrelated sims, friends, siblings, exes, etc.

Do entries need to be wealthy? No! Potential admirers can be from any socioeconomic background. The Gryswalds do not worry for wealth, and would take care of a spouse who does.

Will this be scripted? Partially! I will be taking some liberties with conversations, personalities or reactions to things. I’ll do my best to not make the contestants too out of character. I won’t be controlling the contestants beyond instructing them to complete a task when it’s needed or to pose them. I won’t initiate intimacy unless the heirs whims include it. If they’re prompted into intimacy by contestants, especially on dates, I’ll likely let it happen.

Will this be NSFW? It could be! I'll try not to show anything too graphic, but there could be instances of intimacy.

How will eliminations be conducted? Eliminations will be based on relationship levels within the romance and friendship bars. If there’s a tie, it’ll go to whoever is more attracted to the heirs. If attraction is also a tie, I’ll either use WheelDecide or ask the audience. I’ll likely ask the audience for other reasons as well.

Limitations on CC? I’d prefer you kept away from alpha hair and eye CC (as I have a preference), but all other CC is fine and accepted. I have all packs, except the most recent couple and Batuu.

Seeing a bunch of confessions about the racial bias in starkid fandom activity (not liking a certain character over another, shipping x when x is right there, etc) and I think we need to reexamine why that is. I’ll take Jason x Richie as an alternative to Michie as an example.

The reason more people ship michie as opposed to Jason/richie (not sure what the ship name is) is about 99% due to Jason being a side character. That’s it. He’s not written to be particularly interesting, he is equivalent in importance to Kyle with maybe a bit more substance shown in his treatment of Richie in the football huddle scene. But he is a side character, and an incredibly normal boy.

Max is the MAIN ANTAGONIST who has an exaggerated, toxic personality, turns into a ghost, gets incredibly written and acted out scenes where he chases and torments the main characters, and even has a core motivation (which you can only say for so many NPMD characters, let alone minor characters). He is GIVEN more as a character than Jason because he is the MAIN ANTAGONIST and the focus of the show. That is a choice by the writers, not the fans.

If Corey Dorris had been casted as max and Will Branner as Jason, though there may have still been a sort of twink obsession and fan favoritism of Wills character by virtue of him being a white man, MAX would still be the star of the show and would be shipped with Richie because hashtag toxic yaoi and whatever. The main reason Jason is not as popular of a ship partner for Richie as Max is is because of their roles as characters and the amount of depth and charm the WRITERS chose to give them.

I don’t mean to come off as dismissive of racist biases in this fandom because of course it exists. But this discourse in particular gets to me because in this case, choosing to give white people the more exciting and intriguing roles and black actors the less important more bland ones is a choice by starkid, not its fans. And it’s a wider media problem too (eg the owl house, she ra, umbrella academy, etc.)

Although Jason being a side character may be part of it I do not think it's the full reason (the other being racial baises ofc) because it's not every side character in this fandom is loved way less, one big example: attorney in a hurry. Barry and Gary were very unimportant characters but people absolutely loved them and started shipping them a ton.

Hi, I was wondering what are the common problematic tropes that you see in book?

Hey there! Thank you so much for asking this question; the short answer to your question is, I’m not sure ^^”

I’ve written lots of articles about problematic tropes (mainly when it comes to indigenous cultures), and the main one that comes to me is them being “savages”.

This one is straightforward: the main hero discovers a tribe of natives. The natives become hostile, barbaric savages—you get the point. They attack the hero, the hero defends themselves, and the story moves on.

Why is this one so bad in particular? What I just described was Christopher Columfuck's encounter with my people (the Taíno) and his discovery of Native Americans.

Indigenous people throughout history have always been shown as uncivilised. They attack the good people of [INSERT COLONISER COUNTRY HERE], so when we see this pop up in media, it kind of reinforces the stereotypes that all indigenous people are savages.

Now, let’s move on to disability. Disability tropes aren’t my thing, but if you have any disability questions about writing, I’d highly recommend going to the Cy-Cyborg Tumblr page and typing in the hashtag (#Writing disability with Cy Cyborg), as there’ll be several posts about disability tropes.

However, since it’s Disability Pride Month (This article was originally written in July of 2023), let’s talk about the “Being Disabled Is A Fate Worse Than Death” trope. This trope is written in a way that being disabled is so horrible the only thing you can do to escape it is to either kill yourself or let fate have mercy on your poor soul and take your life instead.

Such examples could be found if you watch the movie “Me Before You,” where the entire plot of the film is the main character is a billionaire who’s disabled, despite having all of the money in the world, despite falling in love, he hates being disabled so much he kills himself.

The second example is what happened to Snowkit from the Warriors series.

Snowkit is barely even a character, but it is notable in that it was the first deaf-named character in the series. They died in a single chapter because of their disability after a hawk garbed them. Several characters within the story claimed this was for the best. Keep in mind this is a children's story. If a deaf child saw this, it would send a message they could never be warriors and that they're better off dead.

There are several other problematic tropes in media, like the “Damsels in Distress”, which is pretty bad, or the reverse damsel in distress, where a hot woman kicks ass but is just there for the male gaze. (Think of any Michael Bay movie)

And here’s one that might shock you: “Love at First Sight/True Love Kiss” (Think of any Disney movie). The main character often has never been in a relationship before, finds the partner of their dream, and lives happily ever after. The problem is that love is messy, and the number of people staying with their first partner is so low I don’t think they’ll even appear on a stat board.

This trope teaches people (mainly children and teens) that their first love will be the love for them; it’ll be perfect, and when it doesn’t work, they get depressed, like really depressed. So yeah, in a way, I’ll add this as problematic for giving several teens false hope in their first love.

BnT: Ever since they grew far enough out of trick or treating age that it felt strange to go door to door, Bill and Ted have been trying to establish a new Halloween routine. Ted’s not so sure about this idea, though.

Spider-verse (characters and/or ocs!): An anomaly manages to break free in HQ, spreading a mass of glitches through the building that send several spider people tumbling into dimensions not their own. Whether via escape or rescue, there is a mess that needs cleaning up, and fast.

DC (comics, cartoons, live action, whatever!): It’s not the first time heroes from the future have met heroes from the past, but it may be the first time they’ve managed to get lunch without a world ending event hovering on the horizon.

I hope y’all don’t mind that I’m starting this milestone celebration a bit early … I’ve had this challenge in mind for a while now and knew that I wanted to start it today (Dec. 1st). Then I realized how close I am to 2.5k, so I figured ‘why not make it a celebration too?’ So here we are.

I’m going to put the details of the challenge below the cut so that this post doesn’t get super long. The rules of it are pretty simple. At the bottom of this post, I’ve got a BINGO board that is loaded with different tropes, genres, settings and ‘must includes’ that you will use to create a story. I’ve picked these because they’re my personal faves, and they’re choices that I’ve seen in many stories on here. And since the holidays are now officially upon us, I figured I’d get us in the spirit with some fesitve choices.

If you’ve not played BINGO before, you need to either fill in 4 squares across or down (I’d shy away from going diagonal because there isn’t all 4 criteria present…4 corners is an option though) and then use those 4 choices in one story. Remember…ALL 4 must be included to get BINGO!

Want to try and get BINGO? All you need to do is either send me a 🎁 in my ask box, or comment 🎁 on this post, and I’ll add you to a PARTICIPANT LIST where all of the stories will eventually be posted.

You don’t need to tell me what choices you’re using right away…save that surprise for the fic that you’ll post (but please tell your readers the 4/the line that you chose when you post the story - maybe add it in an author’s note)

Any character from Peaky Blinders is free game for this challenge, and you’re more than welcome to use an OC or pairing from the show if you feel more comfortable with doing so instead of writing an ‘x reader’.

It is completely fine if you want to include mature (NSFW) content, but if you do…make sure that there are warnings and that you tag it properly.

Important: you’ll notice a * at the end of the box that says Christmas Morning/Christmas Eve. I’ve included that in case you wanted to use that line of choices but would rather use New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Morning instead, OR if you want to use that line of choices, but the character you want to write it with doesn’t celebrate Christmas…or you personally don’t celebrate Christmas.

An example of a possible combination for a fic would be: ‘we’re just friends’, ‘a holiday party’, ‘fluff’, ‘must include: a kiss’ … just in case anyone was confused.

Okay so for everyone that’s confused about what any of this has to do with Italy:

I made the character side blogs (most of them. There’s a Kate one and an executives in space one that aren’t mine, but they were revealed in Sophie’s red string posts at some point)

Gert (with Milk’s knowledge and assistance) and Truman responded with various Italian and dr garrison accounts including @italianldcurtain @italianwhisperer @the-italian-benedictmafia @drgarrison @italiandrgarrison etc. many of which sent ominous DM’s either to my main, my character side blogs, or both. For the record, even though I’m not @drgarrison DO have a side blog for her (@thedrgarrison). I also had my blogs for curtain and SQ block most, if not all of the Italians at some point.

Thus far, no one has correctly guessed my reason for making these side blogs in the first place (and based on the information you all have, I doubt anyone will, but I would be very impressed if you could). I will be dropping an explanation and official apology to the fandom, but it’s gonna take some time to type out as it ended up being so much longer than I expected and I want to do this justice (I also plan on adding memes).

The “Anti-Hero” Curtain edit is one i’ve been wanting to make for a while (he was the first character I thought of when I heard the song and it fits him so uncomfortably well). However, I was not the only person to notice or post about this so I want to credit @striveonward for posting about it earlier. All the edits are under the hashtag “#MBS confessions” and they all use the same audio clip except for the ones on @ldcurtain and my main. The one on Curtain’s account is an actual edit and the one on my main is more of a proper unhinged confessional.

If you want more detail as to what accounts belong to who, you can refer to @sophieswundergarten’s red string posts (but I have a suspicion she might do one more now that all has been revealed).

I procrastinated on a lot of important life stuff to make these videos and I still have to type up my official explanation/apology so sorry if I’m a bit less active over the next few days but I hope this was entertaining at least. The side blogs will still be posting some content and I’ll speak more about them in my unhinged longer reveal post.

Spoilers for Nimona movie (and comic)

I finally got around to watching Nimona (forgive me for taking two weeks, it’s exam season in Italy) and when I tell you I broke down crying when I saw the Nimona “memorial wall”. The contrast with the ending of the comic, where Ballister is the only one who doesn’t see Nimona as a monster, while in the movie everyone sees her as a hero and there is an entire wall with “We love Nimona” plastered on it just, got to me. 

And, since some drawings were actually made in the style of the comic, to me it also felt like those were messages from all the people who read Nimona through the years who were thanking “her” for making them feel less alone. Maybe I’m reading too much into it, idk, I’m really emotional rn. 

Rather than filling the hashtags with my thoughts I guess I’ll just write a mini review:

They did many changes from the original comic, indeed, but it’s fine. In the end they’re two different things and they’re both GREAT. This movie is the proof that adaptations can be different because, if they’re well made, we can get not one but two masterpieces. The humor wasn’t always my thing, but it’s fine: it’s a matter of taste after all. Ballister and Ambrosius are different from their comic counterparts, but I loved them nonetheless. And, of course, my fave shapeshifter was everything I could wish for and more (yes, this is partly a joke on the fact Nimona’s a shapeshifter).

What really surprised me is that they managed to cover many things, even with depth, and the movie never felt rushed, which is something I can’t say for most movies I saw lately. And yeah, the trans/queer metaphor was really more blatant in this one, but I found it masterfully done, and maybe it should, for once, be blatant.

I also want to spend two words on the animation because, tbh, in the trailers I didn’t like it at all: things and characters felt a bit made of rubber. But I actually loved it watching the movie??? Idk why, maybe on a big screen (rather than my phone, where I watched the trailers) you can actually see the details, lol (and overall it was really fluid and well made). The 2d animations sequences were also beautiful. Of course, it’s no Spiderverse, but I’m pretty sure the budget for these two movies is vastly different. 

Also, love how in the credits we can see that the monopoly (who, for those who might not know, is THE game about how capitalism sucks) rip off is called “World Domination”. I love a good ol’ capitalism critic.

Anyway, thanks to ND Stevenson, Annapurna and all the people who worked on this masterpiece (and I guess Netflix too gets some thanks). Hoping this movie is the first of many of its genre.

Edit: forgot to mention my actually only qualm, which is about the italian version of the movie, where they translated Goldenloin's name roughly as "Goldenlimbs" or "Goldenedges". Cowards

It's kind of hilarious that the Death Guard are like this about Mort, but the Thousand Sons are NOT about Magnus like, if it was the Death Guard doing magic ritual oil shenanigans perfectly rational numerology they'd be fighting each other to help out. Well. Okay, maybe not fighting each other, they seem better behaved than that. Despite Magnus being….Magnus, the Thousand Sons seem to not be affected in the same way by his primarch aura as the Luna Wolves and Death Guard are by their primarchs. They have other stuff going on but they don't see Magnus through a Gaussian filter. Maybe it's because they're psykers so they can perceive enough to see him as more of a person than an idol? but it's funnier to think of it as his fashion choices killing his charisma. Just imagine. Every time Phosis goes on the battlefield he starts thinking "man I wish I could fight dramatically right next to Magnus- wait. The nipple horns. Never mind."

Hmmm I may be running into my first example of a writer going “imperium good” I may be harsh here I’ll give him enough rope. I’m. Not a huge fan of how killing alien children is being framed as correct because of how monstrous they look.

Maybe I’m not giving the writer enough benefit of the doubt here. Maybe it's just more subtle than Horus Rising and not spelling things out. This is early in the book after all. But I got spoiled on some elements and given that, this is not looking promising Like also I hate to be the one who drags on about framing but - framing!

How I feel about this character:

i’ll admit it. crutchie was not my main man in the past. he felt like a bit of a shoehorn based on the content i had, like ok of course they get rid of the disabled best friend for most of the show. like wtf. but i’ve evolved, i now am like ok that’s bad writing but it doesn’t make crutchie a bad character. and this is just. matthew duckett alone is a crutchie dissertation LMAO!! i LOVE CRUTCHIE!! i love his position with jack, i love his standings with the newsies, i love his resilience, his new more jaded take vs. the sunshine naive one of THE PAST (it’s of the past bc i personally killed it and stabbed it to death so that it would die. you’re welcome), he’s so sarcastic and dedicated to the strike and to jack. mans keeps his chin up and i am obsessed with him for it. he’s just SO COOL now like not only is he a good character he is genuinely a cool fucking character. fuck yeah. only took ten years (or. oh my god. thirty? 1992 is… thirty years ago?)

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character:

um! fuck it i’ll be controversial— i honestly have no issues with jackcrutchie! all the newsies call each other brothers through the whole show and this fandom ships them anyway, and the 15 year old crutchie is now. a myth. thank god. because a revival has happened that has purposefully not taken jackshit from bway and there’s no way they got matthew duckett playing a FIFTEEN YEAR OLD LMAOO.. so jackcrutchie is valid and their relationship is interesting and complicated w/ refuge stuff to do i think there’s a lot of pull from! more than. uh. most ships in this fandom.

also crutchie is almost never paired with anyone romantically and i wish it was a mystery as to why. so if he wants to kiss jack kelly… who am i to tell a fic writer what to do. but also… crutchie and davey. i could have thoughts if they were dropped in my inbox.

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character:

OKAY WELL YEAH it is jack and crutchie. i can be a jackcrutchie ally and not ship it consistently. their history together is the longest in the show’s context and i love how clear it is… i think crutchie’s love for new york and jack’s growing distaste of it is REALLY fascinating given the fact crutchie is the one thrown in jail and he is still like. but this is my city. like wow. idk that’s so… so fascinating for them two

i wish crutchie got to talk to jack about the strike. because one minute they’re talking about santa fe, the next prices are raised and crutchie is saying how they should just buy their papers and keep surviving, and then suddenly we are on strike. i want a like. “what happened to leaving new york, mr. president?” kind of conversation between them especially since crutchie is IN OPPOSITION of jack. fuck me i’ll do it myself if i have to

Favorite friendship for this character:

DAVID JACOBSDSNDND!!! i think there’s this weird kind of recognition that crutchie has with davey, like this knowledge that jack needs someone like this to bring him down to earth. like. this Approval crutchie has of davey is fucking awesome, very clear in uksies. also they’re shown talking together a lot, after WWK they r at the center table like Deeply discussing something before davey says his line. ugh<3

also the way crutchie gives davey (yes not the other way around. davey like comes over to him and crutchie invites him in for a hug) is so personal to me oh my god!!
