Today’s shift was longer than expected for the both of you. Missions of gun fire and explosions of buildings that may or may not have been abandoned. Meetings with Mori about recent developments in companies that fronted the port mafia.
Like always, you and Chuuya saw each other at least once. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a shared lunch or some quality time in his office. Instead, it was you running down the hall to Mori with important information while he was strolling out the office.
He… well he missed you the entire day. And it only got worse… he had to do Akutugawas paperwork since he had gotten injured!
So, he texted you about an hour before end of shift.
Chuu <3
“Hey love, gonna be home a bit later tonight. Don’t worry about dinner, I know I won’t be hungry so late.”
Safe to say, your car ride home was lonely. The chauffeur even asking “Where is Mr. Nakahara?” When you entered alone.
You sighed, back against the leather and sank into a state of silence.
Feet in pain from missions, wrists cracking from the amount of writing. Your hair was probably a mess, lipstick on your collar from when you tugged at your shirt.
The car was smooth, luckily. A bump would’ve made your head spin.
You wanted two things. Chuuya, and your bed.
So when you finally unlocked that penthouse door, you practically flung off your shoes. Hoping you didn’t hit anything of importance.
First it was your belt, then your bottoms, than your top. At last your bra was off and you stumbled into the bedroom. A trail of discarded clothes behind you.
Instead of scavenging through your closet, you walked into Chuuya’s side.
It was mostly suits and buttons up, but a section was reserved for comfy clothes.
Picking out a simple t shirt he’d were on casual days, you put it on. Probably backwards, but that didn’t matter.
It still smelled like him, warm and safe.
You crashed into bed after turning off the house lights. Forgetting to close the curtains, the city neon illuminated the room blue, pink, green, and red.
Somehow, somewhere, you drifted off.
It wasn’t until you heard the creak of the bedroom door you woke up again.
Sky still as dark as space, neon still piercing your vision.
“Sweetheart… thank fucking god you’re home too.”
He didn’t bother to put on new clothes. The way you saw him was shirtless in some boxers. And god, if you weren’t so tired…
Never mind
He flipped back his hair before sitting in bed.
You pulled yourself closer to him, arms around his waist with your head on his lap.
“Missed you, princess.”
His heartbeat slowed, and his body calmed.
He slowly pet your head, running his hand to your cheek and using his thumb to draw circles.
He giggled, randomly to you.
“What?”
“Your shirt is backwards.”
Damn it, you knew it!
“Can I hold you? Not like this, but fully.”
All it took was your nod for him to hoist you up into his arms and maneuver you both into a laying position.
Your head on his chest, his arms around your waist.
This was a much easier way to hear his heartbeat. And gosh, was it relaxing.
Between the moments, your breathing synced. He kissed your forehead in the quiet.
So high up, no city sound was heard.
Then, he began to hum. A song that sounded to far away, but you could feel the rumble of his chest.
Each note making a different feeling in his skin to your head.
It was mindless, something he must’ve heard on the radio.
“I’ve missed this, I’m so happy you’re awake.”
He didn’t mind your silence, in fact he barely noticed it. His eyes were so focused on you, he likely would’ve seen lips moving without hearing them.
He was memorized.
Tired eyes covered by orange hair, and droopy eyelids from the exhausting life of Chuuya Nakahara.
But every night was a little easier with you around.

can you pleaseeeee do a johnny smut with praise and squ!rt!ng and johnny being really dominant? thank you!
Dom!Johnny Cade x Female Reader Smut
Tumblr media
OKok sooooooo! I suck at writing smut (Esp with dom guys bc I don't ever read anything like that) but I tried. This sucks booty and I apologize and it is to OOC for Johnny. :crying: I may or may not be high and very deprived of sleep atm so read at your own risk.
WARNINGS: Dom/sub, swearing, smut (obv), protected sex, squirting, lmk if there's anything else please and thank you <3 (again, I'm tired and high)
Johnny woke me up from my sleep, I was initially scared since he doesn’t wake me up for anything unimportant. He was staying at my house for the night, my parents weren’t home to know about it.
“Babe?” I stirred, sitting up. “Are you okay?”
“Let me fuck you,” He demanded. I was a bit taken aback by what he said.
“What?” I groaned as my eyes got used to the darkness, still relatively confused. “Johnny are you-”
“I said what I said,” He shut me up real quick. “You gave me a dream and now I’m horny, so let me fuck you.”
“Okay,” I oblige. “Can I have a minute though? I’d like to be more conscious before doing anything.”
“Of course,” He kissed my forehead, rougher than usual. I kissed his lips but he was hungry for more, he leaned over me while still kissing me. His hands not being shy about my body, trailed up and down, eventually leading to my right tit. I gasped, in turn breaking the kiss, he grabbed my face lightly.
“No more noises out of that pretty mouth of yours until I say so,” His voice was deeper and more demanding than it had ever sounded before. I bit my lip and nodded.
I could feel myself getting increasingly wet just by his actions. He began to move his lower half, I closed my eyes and tried not to moan. His left hand traveled down my body and landed on my pussy. He moved his fingers around a bit, making me arch my back.
“Take your clothes off,” He commanded, I did as told, stripping myself bare. “Good.” He kissed me, slower this time. His mouth found my tit and began sucking and nipping at it. He trailed his tongue down the rest of my body, making its way down to my pussy. He paused momentarily to tell me I could moan and continued to lap up my pussy.
“Fuck, Johnny,” I pant. “Mhmm… you make me feel so good baby.” His tongue rubs circles around my clit. He transfers from his mouth to his hand, sticking a finger inside and flicking it around. I moaned, which told him to keep going.
“You’re so good, love,” Johnny cooed, kissing me again. “Can I put my cock inside you?”
“Condom… in… drawer…” That was all I could manage to say. He reached over to my bedside table and opened the drawer, pulling out a square, plastic packet. He opened it like he had no time left and rolled it on. He lined himself up with me, slowly thrusting in, making sure he didn’t hurt me.
“Are you okay?” He asked me. I could only nod, so he pushed in further, continuing to look at me so he knew I was okay. He got all the way in and pulled back some, setting a pace. I gripped the sheets as I got used to the action.
“Oh, fuck,” I called out. “It feels so good, I love you, Johnny!” That made his pace quicken.
“Fuck,” He groaned. “I love you too darling.” I placed my hand on my clit, adding more sensation to what I was already feeling.
I continued rubbing circles as he thrusted farther and deeper into me because of all of the feeling, I squirted all over him, making everything around me wet.
“Shit! Baby!” I yelled.  “I’m so sorry.”
“It’s okay, Lovely,” He cooed at me as he continued thrusting. “Everything is fine, it’s all okay. We’ll clean it up later.”
He continued to thrust into me until we reached our climaxes. “Oh shit!” He exclaimed. “Are you close?”
“Yeah,” I squeezed my eyes shut and as he thrusted a few more times, we both came.
“God, you were so good love,” He slid himself out of me and took his condom off. “I’m so glad I have you in my life.”
I hugged him, I couldn’t stop panting as I came off my high. He hugged me back, laying next to me for a few minutes. He eventually got me out of my bed and helped me to the washroom.
“I’m gonna leave you to get cleaned up,” He said. “I’ll bring you fresh pajamas and clean up your bed.”
“Thanks,” I smiled at him as he left. I cleaned myself off, I heard a knock at the bathroom door. It opened itself and I saw Johnny’s hand sneak through to drop off comfortable pajamas. I put them on and left the bathroom as he finished making the bed. We lay down next to each other and sat in comfortable silence until Johnny spoke up.
“I’ll help you do the laundry when we wake up,” I giggled and snuggled into him.
“Thank you,” I replied, my voice muffled by his chest.
“I love you, goodnight.” He gave me a sweet kiss on the top of my head.
“I love you too,” I smiled and drifted off to sleep.

SWEET DREAMS | vinnie hacker
Tumblr media
--- MINORS PLEASE FUCK OFF FOR UR OWN GOOD ---
your best friend sleeps over and what more can you really say- hot best friend sleeping over almost always results in sex?
VINNIE X FEM!READER
WARNINGS: NSFW CONTENT MINORS DNI, praise n degradation kink, pet names, unprotected sex, choking,
word count: 2.3k
Vinnie and I have been best friends since we were 13. I had met due to him moving to my school and I was assigned with showing him around the school and that’s what led to both of us ending up making fun of shitty rom coms in my apartment 8 years later.
“No no they’re both gonna get locked in the room together and confess their love to each other and get married and have 2 kids and a pet fish” I laughed out, rom coms could be great but if only the directors tried to be a bit creative.
“No no what, he’s obviously a secret billionaire and the girl is poor so he’s gonna pay for her collage or some stupid shit and then they’ll confess their love to each other and get married and have 2 kids and a pet fish obviously” He said staring at me with a stupid grin on his stupidly attractive face
As we grew up together and puberty hit both of us like a moving van on fire I came to the pretty quick realization that my friend was hot- and that was fine- but I also realized I had the tiniest crush on him, but that's all it was a meaningless crush I wasn’t going to do anything about it.
“Shut up no there no way he’s a bill-” I was cut-off with my cat nipping at my leg- their so fucking cute
“Awe shit it’s really fucking late and it seems like my baby boy wants some food” I coo to my cat, ignoring Vinnie
“Awe I am a bit hungry” Vinnie jokes, both of us had a pretty flirty relationship and we’ve probably kissed while drunk- though I can’t really remember it- but I’ve tried to keep everything platonic no matter how hot he was and no matter how much I really wanted to kiss his stupid fucking mouth.
“Shut up weirdo I'm gonna head to bed you can do whatever weird shit you do at night” I picked up my cat and walked to my room, Vinnie was sleeping on the couch and something he insisted on since he was a ‘gentleman’.
I heard a faint ‘Yes Ma’am’ from the living room and cuddled up onto my bed watching my cat curl up on the end of my bed, I put on some mood music and tried to fall asleep.
After about 5 minutes of tossing around on my bed I fell asleep to the sound of rain outside my window and Deftones playing on my speaker.
----
His hands curled around my neck squeezing the sides,
“Your such a fucking slut for your best friend aren’t you” I knew that voice, the voice that had been tormenting my life for years- Vinnie
“Please Vinnie, fuck please” I was begging
“C’mon you can beg better than that, I know you can be a good girl and beg” Fuck fuck fuck was this really happening
Before I could beg our lips connected- it was so much, almost too much- He bit down on my lip and his hands trailed to rub on my clothed cunt, his hands dipped into my waistband and-
----
I woke up in a cold sweat- I felt so fucking gross.
Of course I’ve had dreams about him- he’s hot and I’m only human- but when his in the same house as me... fuck no
Oh god what if he heard me- what if he heard me having a fucking wet dream about him.
I wanted to curl up into a little ball and die
We are best friends
Just best friends. No more
I got out of my bed- if I was gonna act normal I need to get something to drink- I walked out into the hallway and heard shuffling coming from the living room.
Great he’s still up
I walked into the kitchen trying to ignore him heading straight for my fridge
“Oh hey I thought you were going to bed, are you okay?” He says now standing right in front of me and he’s fucking shirtless- fuck this is so hard for no reason
“Oh I just needed to get something to drink- y’know” I say trying not to stare at his bare torso
“Yeah want me to pour you some water” He asks, he’s really sweet but that's not what I’m looking for
“Thank you for the offer but I’m just gonna settle on some good old fashioned alcohol” I giggle and pick up a bottle, but he scrunches up his face- he’s confused
“Um this late are you sure y/n we can get food if you want” He’s says with his voice laced with concern
“Uh no thanks I’m fine with alcohol I guess” I say- the tension is suffocating and it makes me want to throw up- I turn around hoping that if I walk away Vinnie will drop it.
“Y’know your really talkative in your sleep”
what.
“Huh what” This can’t be happening, no it's not happening I don’t believe it. I turn around so carefully as not to disturb the thick fog of tension enveloping the room, to see him leaning on my kitchen counter with a stupid grin on his face
He’s walking toward me- fuck fuck fuck
“I said you talk in your sleep- I was walking past your room and heard noises coming from your room” He’s way to calm for this
“I-I guess but y’know a lot of what people say in their sleep could I don’t know be taken out of context or-” I’m cut off by him laughing- he’s enjoying this while I want to die, I really fucking hate him right now
He leans right next to my ear with his hands lazily resting on my waist,
“I don’t really know what other context ‘Please Vinnie, fuck please’ could be in besides me fucking you” he breathes right into my ear and I have decided that I want to shrivel up and die
I want to say something but I can’t- I literally can’t my voice is drying up
“C’mon don’t tell me you’ve lost your voice please do tell me what other context you moaning my name could be” He quirks an eyebrow and i’ve lost all form of constraint, I’m staring directly at his lips god there really pretty lips
He very obviously notices and catches my chin with his first two fingers forcing me to stare at him in the eye.
“Y’know” He draws out, while cocking his head to the side “I dream about you too”
“What” I can’t believe what I’m hearing
“Yeah, I dream about a lot of stuff but mainly you and I… fucking” He says with so much composure that for a second I don’t register what he means
He dreams of him and I… fucking.
His face moves from my ear to right in front of my face
I can’t even tell what’s happening until he’s inches away from my face with his hot breath fanning my face, waiting for me to close the space.
Am I really going to ruin our friendship just because Im horny?
Yes.
I instantly connect our lips, hooking my hands around his neck to link our bodies together. His mouth lifts off mine for just a second to tell me to “jump” before he’s on me again while walking both of us into my room as he throws me onto the bed.
He sits up for a second while he takes his pants off and then his boxers. And he hands trail up to my shit and then looks up at me as if he’s asking for permission and I answer him myself by pulling my shirt off and hooking my hands around his neck
Vinnie and I had been friends for as long as I could remember. We had grown up together, gone to the same schools, and shared so many memories. We knew everything about each other, but somehow, we had never crossed the line from friendship to something more.
But tonight, I couldn't help it. I needed him. I needed to feel his arms around me and his lips all over my body.
Our lips met again, this time with more passion and intensity, as we explored each other's mouths with our tongues. The taste of his lips was intoxicating, and I couldn't get enough of it.
As we continued to kiss, my hands found their way to the back of his head, pulling him in even closer. His hands roamed over my body, caressing every inch of my skin, sending shivers down my spine.
Our bodies entwined, our breaths becoming one, as we lost ourselves in the moment. Nothing else mattered except the feeling of his lips on mine and the warmth of his body pressed against mine.
He disconnects the kiss again, “God if I knew how bad you wanted me I would have fucked over my fucking counter the last time you were over” He tells you before looking down at me with admiration mixed with lust in his eyes.
“Hey Vin?”
“Yes, pretty girl?”
“Fuck me.”
And he finally shifts above me, guiding his dick into my folds and ever so slowly pushing it in.
He’s so big that I can feel him over me yet he’s not close enough. I arch my back trying to get more but he just laughs in my face shaking his head, “Baby just relax your worrying too much” He tells me.
He’s being so slow and so sweet but god I really just want him to fuck the living daylights out of me;
“Vinnieeee” I whine,
“Yeah doll” He replies
“Harderrr” And as I finish that sentence it’s like a spark ignites in him
His pace goes from slow and sensual to fast and rough, every thrust hits my deepest spots and makes my entire body loosen up. He hovers over me and presses chaste kisses all along my body and he focuses on my collarbones and shoulders biting and licking them, it's bound to leave marks for days.
His hands move in unison with his dick, going in circles as they press on my clit, forcing me to scream loudly enough for everyone outside to hear me. When his fingers do eventually touch my clit, a pool of heat forms in my belly.
And that’s when I remember how thin my walls are and if my neighbors can probably hear, and feel, me.
I quickly use my hand to cover my mouth to prevent me from any form of embarrassment. But I’m quickly met with a sound of disapproval from Vinnie.
“No baby I wanna hear how good I make you feel, I want everyone to know your my girl” He tells me, pressing a kiss to my tits, “So show them,”
That almost makes me lose it because those words transform me into putty that he can shape whichever he wants. At this moment, I no longer have any control over my body; he is pinning my hands over my head, and I have no intention of resisting him.
His actions don’t stop, I can feel each of his thrusts and the way they stretch me out until I go dumb, unable to form coherent sentences.
One of his hands leaves my hip and ends up next to my head caging me in. I’ve always loved his hands, they’re bigger than mine and when they flex over his keyboard or how their able to catch the light in a such a special way and god, when their adorned with rings it’s like he wants me to go fucking feral
I feel like he would be good at choking someone…
I need him to choke me.
“Baby I need you” I whine out not being able to express what I want.
“Princess, whaddya need, I’ll give you everything”
“Your hands… please” I tell him and he giggles in confusion
Cute “Baby where am I gonna put my hands?”
“Neck.”
And I just watch as his eyes blow out thinking for a second before his pretty tatted hand slides across my body reaching the base of my neck.
“If you ever can’t handle it just tap my leg pretty” He tells me before squeezing.
I don't see stars; all I can see is him hanging above me with a stupid smile, and I don't believe I've ever seen anyone more beautiful than him. It feels so fucking amazing. I roll my eyes to the back of my head and arch into his chest.
“So good for me, such a good, dirty girl” He says no louder than a whisper and he continues to jam into me
He lets go but returns his hands back shortly but uses his thumb to open my mouth, “Open pretty girl,” and fucking spits in my mouth
Now if this was another guy, I’d gag but the way Vinnies eyes are so dark and his lips curve into his cute ass smile, I swallow immediately arching into his touch
It feels like this ritual goes on forever, him rutting into me, choking me, letting go and then repeating- I feel like the best I’ve ever felt in my life.
And finally after a particularly hard thrust, I come undone below him, my hands freed and I use them to dig my nails into Vinnies back as he rides me through my orgasm making me feel so goddamn good.
He cums after a little with his forehead pressed to mine his presses kisses all over me and when he's finally done he pulls out and heads to the kitchen.
I’m so loopy that I don’t realize he’s gone until he comes back wiping me down with a towel and placing a glass of water on the bedside,
“Hey princess, how are you doing?”
“Good… really fucking good” I giggle
“Yeah, don’t worry too much about this, we can talk about it later.” He says pressing a chaste kiss on my lips and before pulling away he whispers,
“But we both know your mine, sweet dreams.”

Tysm for the compliment!<3 and ofc it’s ok:)
Hope you enjoy:))

Does this mean I’m a girl?
Tumblr media
Luffy was reckless. You knew that when you decided to be in a relationship with him, today though, didn’t go as planned. Thanks to a certain captain.
The crew decided to dock on an weird island, they planned to stay there for a couple days because the merry needed repairs.
Luffy, as always, was the first one out of the ship along with you being dragged by him. At this point, Everyone was used to this, even you so it wasn’t that surprising. What WAS surprising to everyone was the events that’ll happen
After jumping out of the ship, luffy dragged you toward a restaurant, it was full of people so it took a while for the food to arrive. While the both of you were waiting, you noticed a group of men who have been staring at the two of you since you entered. You didn’t really pay attention to them since you figured they were staring at you because they knew who luffy was. But there faces said differently.
It was starting to get uncomfortable for you but you still ignored it till he both of you excited the restaurant, luffy wanted to explore the island so you took some food to go because you knew he would get hungry. What you didn’t know was the same group of men following the two of you.
Once the two of you were alone, the men tried attacking you, luffy of course took them all out in one single swing, but one of them let out some sort of mist before he got punched by luffy again. Once you noticed the mist, it was too late. You and luffy already breathed it in… but nothing happened, you figured that the mist you breathed in wasn’t enough for the effects to work, but it was still in your mind.
Eventually, the two of you decided to head back to the ship, but on the way, luffy began to wonder…
“Y/n, does this mean I’m a girl?”
You nearly tripped
“..what-?”
He pointed at his chest, “does THIS mean I’m a the girl and your the guy now?” He added
That’s when you noticed
“WHAT?? WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN??”
“When we breathed in that weird mist from that mist guy”
“WELL WHY DIDNT YOU SAY ANYTHING??”
“Because I thought you knew!” He defended
. . .
“So does it?”
“I swear to god”
You began to drag him back to the ship
Unsurprisingly when the two of you arrived, everyone was confused. Usopp and chopper kept looking at the two of you dumbfounded while nami and Robin had shocked looked on their faces. Sanji didn’t know how to feel and Zoro could barely process anything considering he just woke up from his usual nap!
You didn’t have the energy to explain and you doubt luffy understood what was going on so you told them in the simplest explanation
“We ran into some trouble on our way”
Unsurprisingly, they still had MANY questions that you u weren’t in the mood to answer as y headed to bed tired from the previous events
Tomorrow was going to be a longgg day

Can I request super flirty Amber x reader where Amber's flirting with reader but they are oblivious and eventually Amber can't take it anymore and kisses reader
Pretty Girl
Amber Appleton x fem! reader
Warnings: fluff, coarse language, kissing
Amber calls reader ‘pretty girl’— always have. But when exactly did that take a turn and become flirting instead of being platonic?
As the thunder roared outside, you were wrapped up under your blanket, comfy— no, sick and exhausted. You had just started your period the night before and have been tormented by the cramps ever since. The pain was so bad, it made you nauseous. You were also, hungry, bloated and craving all sorts of things that you wanted to eat, but at the same time…not really. It was confusing. You hated it, all of this— How terrible you were feeling. So much for a peaceful weekend.
Somehow, you felt yourself dozing off so you snuggled closer to your pillow and hoped you’d fully fall asleep. But hey, of course not. You felt the vomit creeping up your throat before you leaned over the bed and the trashcan, barely making it and letting it spill into the plastic under your mouth. It’s not like you much of anything left in your stomach, but did that stop you from feeling absolutely shitty? No way. Lazily cleaning off your mouth with a tissue you’d grabbed from the box on your nightstand, you stayed on your stomach, and just slept. Tried to, at least.
You woke up after what must’ve been no more than an hour, the rain had started to pour which would typically be the ideal for staying in, getting cosy and just lazing around. But now, you wanted nothing more than to get out of bed and do something with your day. Alas, you could not exactly move. The doorbell rings, making you groan. “It’s pouring out there. Who is it?!” You shrieked, scarily near tears.
The intercom buzzes, “It’s Amber!”
Shit.
You quite literally forced yourself out of bed and walk downstairs, your knees nearly buckled when you first stood up. God, why’d she have to show up now? You got to the door as fast as you could and opened it to let her in.
“Took you awhile.” She says while stepping into the house, “Hi, pretty girl.”
“Sorry.” You muttered, “I’m not—”
“Feeling too well?” She finishes your sentence, “I figured. Wish you would’ve told me.”
You slowly sat down on the couch, groaning, “How’d you know anyway?”
“Honey, I’ve known you, what? Fifteen years now? Give me some credit.”
“So you just figured out I was on my period and decided to show up at my door with…chocolate chip cookies?”
“Yeah, I took a guess.” Amber chuckles, “It’s not that hard to predict it, you know? You always get it around this time of the month.”
“Oh, how nice of you to know that.” You scoffed, leaning forward and burying your face in your hands.
“Did you eat anything?”
You gulped, “Nope, not since dinner last night. Also, I threw that up so please don’t talk about eating.”
Amber sits down beside you, a hand on your head and massaging it, “I’m sorry.” She then guided you to lay on her lap carefully.
You smiled at her a little, it quickly falls though, when you felt another cramp. “Are you sure you don’t want to take something for it?” Amber asks you softly.
“I can, but it’ll just come back up in a few minutes so I’d rather just wait it out.”
You haven’t seen Amber in awhile, honestly. But you knew she had like three part-time jobs that last time you asked her about it. So you figured that was what she was busy with. Oh, and by ‘awhile’, you meant like— at most two weeks. You two haven’t spent much time apart ever. And that’s considering the fact that she has her own little group of friends. You saw them pretty often too, and you knew them but you never really got that close with them even after all this time. But because you were Amber’s best friend, you were always hanging out with them anyway.
Damn, maybe you should really just open your mouth and talk to them more. They were really nice people.
“What’s wrong?” Amber asks, noticing that you’ve gone quiet.
“Oh, nothing. Just thinking about…stuff.”
“Oh, yeah? What kinda stuff, honey?” She looks down at you, bright smile on her face while her eyes formed into little crescents. Her hand was still stroking your hair.
“Random things…I dunno. Like how I gotta talk to your friends more and stop just floating around.” You hummed, “How I haven’t gotten to hang out with you for like two weeks because you’ve been working so many shifts. God, I hope you’re getting enough rest.”
Amber chuckles, “I’m fine. I quit the third job.”
“You did? When?” You ask, absentmindedly playing with the ring on the fingers of her free hand.
“Uh…” She says, her hand in your hair stops moving. You sulked, and she continues the soothing gesture but not without a tiny little laugh. “Like, three weeks ago?”
“Wow, and what have you been up to lately that I couldn’t get to see you?” You joked.
“Shut up, babe.” She giggles. You gasped dramatically and instantly paid for it when you got attacked by yet another cramp, “Babe? That’s a new one.”
She nearly snorted, laughing. Amber’s brows were raised briefly, “You really are so…”
“Don’t yell at me.”
“I’m not gonna yell at you, when have I ever done that?” She squints.
“Well, my mom just did this morning after I told her my cramps were terrible.” You scoffed.
“Do I look like your Mom to you?” Amber couldn’t help but laugh, “Has the pain somehow jumbled up your brain so bad that you’re just saying anything and everything?”
You didn’t know what to say to that you just kept quiet and snuggled more comfortably against her lap, now laying on your side. “Maybe.”
“That’s okay, pretty girl.” You could hear the smile, “I’m sorry you’re not feeling good.”
————
As you laid sleepily in her lap, Amber’s mind started to wander— seemingly recalling every single time she had hung out with you, analysing each day out, and night in…desperately trying to figure something out.
“You’re so pretty.” Amber says, tucking some hair behind your ear.
“Shut up.” You laugh, “I just tried to eat a donut while the wind was blowing in my face. Now I have powdered sugar in my hair.”
“I said what I said.”
“Yeah, yeah. Thanks, Ams.” You didn’t think too much into her little compliment— she says stuff like this all the time. Just to make you smile and giggle. “You’re pretty too.”
~~~~~
Walking through a crowded flea market, your eyes checked out each stall closely, not wanting to miss a good buy. Somehow, you feel an arm wrap around your waist. “Be careful. There’s a lot of people around.” It was Amber. Typical Amber being a worrywart.
~~~~~
“Amber?” You say in a hurry once she picked up your call.
“y/n, it’s 1:30 in the morning.” Amber replied, obviously just woken up by you, “What’s wrong, y/n?”
“Can we go get ice cream?”
“What?” She could not believe her ears. Amber could not believe that you called her at this hour just for that. But hey, she was so relieved that was all it was. Relieved that you weren’t sick or hurt.
“Can we go get ice cream? Please?” You repeated yourself.
“Okay, pretty girl.” She laughs, “I’ll pick you up in fifteen minutes.”
You squealed, “Yay, okay.”
~~~~~~
“Amber, can you help me do my hair? I like when you do it.”
“Okay.”
~~~~~
“Amber, will you please do my makeup? I suck at it.” You groaned.
“Sure, honey.” Amber had her usual smile on her face, “Turn around.”
~~~~~
“Need some help?” Amber asks, watching you struggle to put a necklace on by yourself.
You finally saw her in the reflection and said, “Please.” Handing it to her, she took it from you and pushed your hair in front of one shoulder. Smoothly, she puts the necklace on for you in a matter of seconds.
“There you go.” She smiles, leaning her chin on your shoulder for a beat, her eyes looked at the heart pendant on your necklace then somehow wandered onto your chest. Mentally chiding herself, she gives you a quick hug from behind and then unwrapped her arms, “You ready for your date?”
“Not really.” You admit.
“Aw, you got this, pretty girl.” She gives you a squeeze on the shoulder, “Ben’s really nice.”
“You would know.” You managed a chuckle, “You insisted that you met him first.”
“Of course. He has to be good enough for you.”
~~~~~~
You were at the mall with Amber one Saturday afternoon after having spent the night at her place in the spur of the moment. Actually, that was the last time you saw her before today. So, anyway…because you didn’t have a change of clothes, you were wearing Amber’s clothes. Which was very, very different from your own style.
“Will you stop?” Amber laughs, swinging your hand as she held it, “You look good, okay?”
“Pfft, right.”
“Right.”
~~~~~
Or maybe…the defining moment was right now. Seeing you so pale, so disheveled. Yet, she was completely enamoured by you. She didn’t tell you though. She couldn’t. Because she knew how you’d react. You’d just think she was joking and brush it off. Nothing romantic’s happened between you and Amber, but yet lately, there’s always been the presence of tension from Amber’s point of view.
You on the other hand seemed completely oblivious to her being a little distant for the past two weeks while trying to work through her feelings and piece together what on Earth she wanted to say to you. She could only pray this wasn’t one-sided. Amber loved you too much to mess things up, that was why she said she was busy and didn’t see you for those three weeks. But at the same time, her patience was slowly but surely growing thin. Yet she still couldn’t quite figure out exactly when her calling you ‘pretty girl’ started to have a different effect on her— when she started to get excited to call you that, hoping you’d react the way she wanted you to. But you never did. So she threw in a new nickname, and you were still way too chill about it.
————
Amber didn’t know where that courage came from but…
“y/n?” She said quietly, wanting to get your attention but didn’t want to startle you.
Your eyes came into focus again, meeting her face, “Yeah?”
“I’m in love with you.” She reveals, and before you could even process her declaration, you feel her lips on your own— so soft, and so gentle. So addictive. Fuck.
You’d completely just gave into it, letting her take control as your hand reached up to cup her cheek. It was a bit of an odd position, but you were evidently still in too much pain to move.
“You do?” You tried breaking away for a second to speak but she doesn’t allow it, eagerly reconnecting your lips again. Amber did nod her head, reciprocating with increasingly passionate kisses.
“I fucking love you. I’m not sure when it started, but I am.” She literally speaks into the kiss. And upon hearing that, you could not let her lips go. That was all Amber needed from you. She didn’t even need to hear it— she was too riled up for that now, wanting nothing more than the constant feeling of your lips against hers.
After a mutual breakaway several minutes later, you were breathless and so was she. “So…” She started. “I meant every word I just said. Everything I just did. I want you, y/n, to be my girlfriend.”
“Okay.” You nodded, unknowingly, teary-eyed. “I’m sorry I didn’t realise sooner.”
Amber smiled so widely hearing your response, “It’s okay, pretty girl.” Now in tears, she sniffles and presses a sweet kiss to your forehead, “I have you now.”
“You do.” You nodded, mirroring her smile.
“I love you.” She says, her palm pressing lightly on your lower abdomen to give it some warmth and relief. “Does that help?”
You nodded almost too sleepily, “Yeah. Can you keep doing that please?”
“Of course.” Amber agrees, “Close your eyes, get some rest. I’ll wake you up when lunch is done.”
“No, don’t get up.” You slurred.
“I promise I won’t. Not until you’ve fallen asleep. Then, I’ll make us lunch. Okay, pretty girl?”
“Okay, Ams…okay.”
She chuckles over her words hearing how sleepy you were, “Okay. Sleep tight.”
Woods Part 3
The sun had started to set and the rain was now a light drizzle. The temperature was also dropping. “How long until they come looking for you?” You asked wanting to know if you’d end up spending the night with a killer or not. “Tomorrow probably. Preston will be there. Ignore him he’s an idiot.” He responded. You pouted, the thought of staying the night in creepy woods with a killer that video taped everything made you shiver. Gathering your thoughts and emotions you realized you didn’t know his name, It seemed like at this point knowing each other's names would be okay. “Um my name is (y/n) by the way. What's yours?” you asked, now facing the disfigured man. “Jesse” his phone said. “It’s nice to meet you Jesse.” You said with a smile. Night fell quickly.
Your stomach growled loudly in the early morning hours. You had barely slept due to fear of what might happen. Jesse woke up to the sound of your stomach, making a confused look he raised his eyes to meet yours. “Oh I’m sorry my stomach woke you. It’s almost like I haven’t eaten in god knows how long since you kidnapped me.” You said with a hint of anger seeping in. A second later you realized you just basically yelled at a serial killer and covered your mouth with your hands in shock. You were about to apologize when his phone talked “You have bite. I like fire”
“I’m still sorry. I’m just so hungry and tired.” She said apologetically. His phone spoke up again “You would probably be a better addition than Preston” She tried to figure out what he meant and then it hit her “Are you offering me a job?” You asked. He only shrugged. At this point the sun was rising and out in the middle of nowhere it was a breathtaking view. You even smiled at the sight. Unknown to you your forced companion had noticed the smile, he thought it was a beautiful smile.
The two of you spent the morning rebuilding the fire and adding in anything that made it smoke more. You had come up with the idea of a smoke signal and Jesse was impressed at your thought process. He hadn’t thought about needing to signal your exact location since the phone by this time was nearly dead and not able to transmit it’s gps signal. The smoke signal rose high into the sky, it would be easy for a plane or helicopter to see from a distance.
Since neither of you had the survival skills to know which plants were edible you sat trying to make a small spear with the use of one of his knives and a stick. Since you were the faster of the two it would be your job to spear the animal. You were not looking forward to it. Jesse tried to reassure you that it would be okay since it’s for survival.
Finally you got the courage to try. It didn’t take long for you to find a lone rabbit grazing in a field. Doing your best you missed by a lot and the bunny left in a hurry. “Dammit” you cursed. Jesse silently chuckled at you. Even though it was a silent laugh due to him not being able to really make noise you could sense it and so you turned around giving him a death glare. The large man playfully put up his hands in mock defense. “Oh my gods you have  a sense of humor” you said with a dramatic gasp.
He didn’t show it often but he did in fact have a softer side. At work it was necessary for him to be the stone cold stoic killer that he is, but in free time he was more relaxed and kind. He no longer saw you as his prey or a threat so he let the walls slip down for a bit. She was relieved that his mood had seemed to improve. After a few more tries you finally managed to kill a larger rabbit. With the brightest, most proud smile you had you held up the dead animal. Jesse clapped to show that he too was proud. He knew how to skin and cook the animal and so he did that half of the work.
By this time it was noon and the two of you sat happily eating the cooked rabbit.  Just as the meal was finishing up you hear the sound of helicopters and ATV’s. Your eyes widen slightly in fear. Jesse easily sensed this and typed “It’s my company. Don’t tell anyone about me being nice.” the phone said as he put a small amount of sap onto his mask to act as a temporary adhesive. You frowned at this, his face was something you’d grown to like, it was friendly and kind. It pulled you back to reality that most people saw him as something monstrous. You wondered if his company even knew what he looked like.
A gun in your face snapped you from thoughts. In front of you was a man not as tall or intimidating as Jesse. He had black hair and a wicked smile. “Preston” the phone in Jesse’s hand said. “Oh you’re the annoying one J-Chromeskull was talking about.” Your face lit up as you realized this. The smile on Prestons face left in the blink of an eye, being replaced with a frown/scowl. “You little bitch!” He yelled in your face. You only giggled through your fear. This only angered him more. A woman walked up behind Preston and pushed him aside. It was clear he was the lowest on the food chain.
“Shut your mouth Preston. Jesse wants her alive.” The woman said calmly. Subconsciously you walked back and bumped into someone. “I..I’m sorry” you stuttered out turning around to see Jesse. The sudden arrival of thirty or so people was overwhelming. The woman eyed you before saying “My name is Spann, I work for Chromeskull.” She said. You nodded trying to collect yourself. “I’m (Y/n)” You managed to say. “I know” Spann said. Looking over the womans shoulder you could see a still angry Preston barking orders at the workers. Jesse put a large hand on your shoulder as reassurance.
“You have two options now that you know about this organization. We kill you or you work for us.” Spann gave you the ultimatum.
ffxivwrite #2 - Bark
Tumblr media
wc. 793, Strawbewwy ft. @windupnamazu ‘s Solar Tide and @winduphaurchefant‘s Tomouji Mori
“Boy, if you can break free, follow the setting sun and you will find us.” Those were the last words he would ever hear from his father.
On his tenth summer they tied him to the sacred tree as they did for everyone in the Tumet tribe. Thirteen other children were tied alongside him. Though some of them had already gotten loose immediately after being tied and were running to catch up with the rest of the tribe.
The boy struggled with all his might. Just you wait, I can break free. I can catch up. But his small frame had failed him. He watched as the other children broke free one by one. Desperate to follow, he used all the power he could muster, only to be let down once again. Frustrated, tears filled his eyes and he let out a loud grunt. The ropes were uncomfortable, and the bark from the tree dug into his skin. I want to go home.
He tried everything he could think of. He tried to squirm out, he tried to use pure strength, he even tried to use his horns to cut the rope, but it was tied in such a way that he couldn’t reach it.
Soon it was night. Exhausted, the boy’s eyes flickered closed. As he drifted to sleep, he heard the steps of another one who broke free.
He woke up hungry and thirsty, not having a bite to eat or drop to drink since the morning of the day before. He looked to the left and right of him, checking to see if anyone was still here with him. If anyone was, he could see them, and couldn’t very much go around to check the perimeter of the tree. He closed his eyes and concentrated. Maybe if he were to concentrate all of his power right where he needed it, the ropes would snap and he would be free.
“Hhrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr,” he concentrated really, really hard. “Yahhhh!!!!!” He put every ounce of energy into breaking the ropes. But his efforts were to no avail. He let out a yell. To the right of him, he heard some footsteps.
“There’s no one left you know.”
“Huh?” The au ra looked up at the boy who appeared in front of him. He knew him. He was one of the other boys in his tribe. He didn’t like him.
“You’re the last one, I checked,” he sneered. “I knew you wouldn’t make it. A tiny flower, you. Smallest of us all. I heard your father tell mine that he didn’t think you would make it out.”
The boy was too tired to say anything back, so he tried to give the meanest eyes he could. The other boy laughed at him and started walking away. As he saw his silhouette get smaller and smaller, he started to sob. No tears came out.
On the third day, he woke up barely conscious. The glaring sun hit his skin. I can’t do this anymore. This was the end. The boy who mocked him was right. He wasn’t going to break free, he wasn’t going to go home, he would be left tied on this tree. He prayed to the gods that in his next life, he would be bigger and stronger. He closed his eyes and he welcomed the gentle embrace of defeat.
Before he completely faded into darkness, he felt a cool liquid hit his lips.
“Are you alright?” The boy weakly opened his eyes as a girl with no horns nor scales tipping her flask of water to his lips. Beside her was an Auri boy with the lightest scales he’d ever seen. The au ra tapped the girl’s arm and started making gestures with his hands. “Yeah, I think that would be a good idea– Oh! You’re awake. I’m Solar and this is Tomouji. We saw you tied to this tree.”
Tomouji took out a knife out of Solar’s satchel and started cutting through the rope that bound the boy to the tree. The small au ra instantly collapsed.
“What’s your name?” Solar asked.
“... I don’t have one. “ He sat up slowly. “I was supposed to be named if I broke free from the sacred tree... But I couldn’t. I don’t think I can go home anymore.”
“Guess you can just come with us!” Solar grinned at him. “It’s just me and Tomouji. And you if you want.” Tomouji smiled warmly at him. The boy sat there not sure what to do. He couldn’t stay on the tree anymore. He couldn’t go home because he was ashamed for not breaking free on his own. Solar offered her hand to him.
“...Okay.” The boy hesitantly put his hand in hers.
I Could Come Up With A Clever Phrase But I’m Not-Thursday
(i.e., your local dumbass started another fic and is too excited to show any self-restraint. Again.)
I started writing a Vincent fic. I have never done anything for him before, but I have a lot of feelings about early Vincent, right after he was turned.
Immortality, Vincent decides, does not suit him.
This isn’t a new thought. He’s heard the whispers of it, half-formed notions in the shadows of his mind, glimpses through the keyhole of a locked door better left undisturbed. It’s trailed him and followed him, stalked him like prey since he first woke up from his last day spent alive to face the rest of eternity.
(Actually, that’s not entirely true—he first woke up with his throat so dry and parched and burning he thought he’d been thrown into the deepest pits of hell, and then when William came to his side to soothe him and explain that his life was both ended and just barely beginning, he wished that he had been anyway.)
Wounds cannot stop him, not anymore, so why does this one fester in the darkest parts of himself? Like an infection, like mold, corrupting and spreading roots so far under the surface until there is more of it than there is of him. When Vincent closes his eyes, he can practically see it; vile and vicious, replacing the parts of him that were human, once, before he became… something else. Before he became this.
Whatever this is.
(Haunted, hunter, hungry. So, so hungry.)
(Thirsty.)
Okay, so, I hate to slam this down on you my dear writer, truly, because this is just, so self indulgent.
but I have something called hypersomia, which is basically the opposite of insomnia. I’m always tired, no matter how much I sleep, and for the past couple of weeks I’ve been absolutely Zonked out, like sleeping through the whole day, only waking up to eat or use the bathroom, and then falling right back to sleep (that’s why I’ve been gone for so long, so, I apologize!!) so, how do you think Otis handles this with his S/O?
cause, his S/O isn’t lazy! They can’t help it, really!
do you think Otis would understand, or would he be one of those people like “….just..don’t fall asleep?”
anyways, you don’t have to do this, since this is such a self indulgent ask, and as always, feel free to take out/dilute any part of this if you do choose to write it.
hope your having a great day/night! <3 ❎-
My friend, so glad to hear from you again!
Never worry about being self-indulgent - that's all I'm doing here too ^^. I hope I'm doing this justice! Hope you're alright these days and that you had a good (restful) weekend <3. More explicit thoughts are below the read more.
Otis is an interesting case, since he isn't as overtly doting and sweet as some other slashers, and complains easily - without meaning much by it. His complaints come from a place of missing you, and of concern for you. So yes, he's an asshole sometimes - but he is that regardless or not you sleep very much. If it's not that, he'll find something else to bitch about. (ah how we love him <3) When Spaulding or RJ or anyone else says something like "just don't fall asleep" he's jumping to your defence though!! No one says a bad word about you, or they'll come to regret it.
As for other situations: expect to be dragged out of bed at random times; either to look at his art, or when he's going to the store or picking up take-out so he can ask you if you want anything, or because there's 'visitors' and he needs you to be aware of them. If you explicitly ask him to let you sleep, he won't wake you for the stupid silly shit, but he's not one to be gentle.
Otis comes to your shared room after he's made food, sinking down next to you on the bed, already talking to you as soon as he entered the room, waiting for you to wake up properly to give you food. Other times a plate will be waiting on the nightstand. I head canon his main love languages to be acts of service and quality time, so this is just a given of living with him. Cooking duties are shared between the family members, but he makes sure to always keep food you like around so you don't wake up to empty cupboards.
Quality time counts sleeping together, with arms and legs entangled. When you're asleep and he's awake, he's often working on art, or reading or writing in the same room, glancing over at you every so often - enjoying that he can do his own thing while still being close to you. Him reading in bed, leaning against the headboard, chest bare, your head in his lap, fingers playing with your hair as you sleep, pale early morning light filtering through the cracks in the curtains... 🥺 He has sketchbooks full of drawings of you, part of those drawn while you were sleeping so he could really take the time to study your features.
Sure, he may complain sometimes he doesn't get you awake as much as he'd like, but his eyes turn soft every time he looks at you on the bed while he's skinning some poor guy at the other side of the room.
Imagine getting out of bed at three in the morning, hungry and groggy, and he goes down to the kitchen with you, you sit at the table while he makes you something, yawning, scratching at his shoulder, just wearing boxers, but he doesn't say a word about you woking him up in the middle of the night.
He'll bend you over the kitchen table too, making you promise to be quiet, but teasing you until you're screaming his name and frigthening the sleeping dog.
And I don't know how explicit I can be, but... have you heard of somnophilia? I'm sure you can imagine how this'd go ^^. It's really his thing, and this way he makes sure he doesn't miss out on much. If you wake up sore, he'd enjoy it even more. If you had a wet dream, he's gonna tease you relentlessly and he'll be annoyingly smug about it if he makes you cum in your sleep.
And umm... try telling him you sleep better after an orgasm and see what happens... 😳
This got SO long I'm sorry adlkfjskldjf. I hope that some of these brightened your day and were fun to read! Thank u for always being appreaciative of me and understanding of my limits, it truly goes a long way and I always look forward to seeing the ❎ pop into my inbox <3333
xoxo
Getting here wasn’t easy. It took time and patience. You prayed to everything you could, anything that would help Will recover; angels, guardians, the stars, anything.
As you sat by his hospital bed and watched him struggle on the line between life and death, you hoped he’d make a full recovery and come back to you.
The night he was shot, you were supposed to have your weekly movie night. Will was planning to hang with the club til 7, then head home. The last text you got from him stated he did grab some tacos, but not enough to fill up since you were making dinner.
To be honest, you loved the nights he cooked, that man is many things, including an excellent chef. You have some skills too, but being married to him has spoiled you. Sometimes you’d say you were too tired to cook, just so you could kick back and savor his dishes.
But your movie night never came. You were setting up in the living room when the call came, it was Dondo. The phone slipped from your hands and hit the floor.
You know what it means, the man you love wearing a patch. You always knew the risks and that your chances of being a widow were higher than other wives.
Still, he always came back, he always came through the door, you always heard his bike pull up: even with awareness of the risks, you trusted he’d come home.
The first night at the hospital was a nightmare. You couldn’t barely hear what the guys were telling you, everything had an echo, you felt dizzy, the snacks you had while you waited for him churned in your gut.
It took a few days for the news to settle. Will was shot. He was shot by those disgusting excuses for detectives; O Grady and Pollen. They’ve been a thorn in the MCs side since the beginning.
But you couldn’t expend too much energy on those bastards, not now, your only focus was Will.
Then, one day, Will began to improve. The shot shout have been fatal, despite that, he held on and pulled through. He survived.
The moment he fully woke up and spoke, you were instantly brought to tears
You caressed the back of his hand before giving it a little squeeze. You’re tired, bone tired, and can barely keep your eyes open. You’ve pretty much moved into the hospital at this point and your body is begging for a bed. But you’ll stay in stiff chair, for as long as you need.
Just as you started to lift your hand, your heard Will moan and wake. He squeezed your hand back and opened his eyes.
His voice was groggy, unsteady, “hey baby.”
“Thank god!” You stood and hugged him, careful to avoid his bandages, “you came back to me.” You cried.
“Of course I did baby-“ he tried to smile, then coughed and groaned.
“Take it easy,” you held his face, “we can build up to conversation. I love you so much.”
“I love you too.”
“Damn I miss these fries.” Will grinned then stuffed his mouth with more fries.
Seated across from him, you’ve barely touched your food. You are hungry, but you’re savoring the moment. He’s made a full recovery and over the last few months, life has gone back to normal.
You promise yourself to never take little moments for granted again. And everything with him feels extra special now, like having lunch at your favorite diner.
As he chews his food, you lean over the table and kissed him.
“What was that for? Not that I’m complaining?” He smiled at you, you’ve always loved his smile.
“Just cause.” You reply.
“I’ll take it,” he does the same, leaning over and kissing you back.
Please keep in mind that there is probably a plethora of mistakes etc. in this but please ignore them.
For the very last time, please enjoy!
Tumblr media
5:20am was never a time that Mia woke up at but one week into having a newborn, her body was already trained to start the day earlier. Normally she was ok with that but being woken up at that time with painful postpartum contractions were not something Mia envisioned for her Saturday morning, especially since she and Jimmy had agreed to go for a walk today.
Mia laid in her spot for a minute trying to decide if the cramps were bad enough to do anything about. After about a second, Mia decided that they were bad, and she knew that the only thing that would help her was to sit on the toilet. So mis threw the covers off her body and stiffly sat up, trying not to aggravate the swelling that had occurred down there.
She quietly trudged to the bathroom, turned the light on and sat down on the toilet. She was on there for about a minute or two when Jimmy appeared in the doorway rubbing his eyes.
“You ok?” He asked huskily as a yawn escaped his mouth.
“Contractions.” Mia replied as she hid her face in her hands.
It wasn’t that she was embarrassed, it was more for the fact that the lights were bright, and her body was so exhausted.
“Can I do anything?” He asked as he sat down on the edge of the tub.
“Hold my hand?” Mia replied as she held her hand out for him to take.
Jimmy smiled and took hold of her hand.
They sat like that for another minute before Paisley could be heard whimpering through her baby monitor.
“I’ll go, you get back to bed and get comfortable.” Jimmy told his wife, helping her to stand and pull her pants and underwear back up.
“Thanks Jim.” Mia said.
“Love you.” He mumbled as he disappeared from the room.
Mia laid back down in the bed and she would have stayed awake, but her eyes were way too heavy, and the sleep took over as soon as her head hit the pillow again.
=
A few hours later Mia was still sleeping, and Jimmy was wide awake not knowing what to do with himself as both of his girls were sound asleep. Sure he could go back to sleep himself but what good would that do when the house needed to be cleaned and he was hungry and to be honest, itching to work out.
Jimmy yawned and carefully got out of bed and went to the closet to find his grey workout shorts.
When he was ready felt good to go, Jimmy headed downstairs with the baby monitor in hand so that he could hear when his daughter needed him.
Of course he barely stepped foot in the home gym when the baby made her needs known. Jimmy sighed but happily rushed up the stairs to his little girl.
“Good morning Pais, did you have a good sleep?” He asked as he picked up the newborn. Paisley immediately stopped her cries and settled in her dad’s arms.
“Goodness missy, you need a diaper change.” Jimmy noted as he smelled the poop wafting from her soiled diaper.
Jimmy laid Paisley down on her change pad and went about changing her.
When she had a fresh Diaper on, Jimmy picked her back up and went to her closet where Mia had an array of baby clothes stocked.
“Ok, let’s see.” Jimmy said as he went through the sweet little onesies he and Mia had bought for their daughter when they found out Mia was pregnant.
Finally, Jimmy settled on a onesie that was covered in small delicate duckies. It looked so cute on the baby that it made Jimmy’s heart melt. She was all her mama.
=
At 9:12am, Mia woke up and stretched. Yes, she was still tired, but she felt more rested, and she was about to turn over to go back to sleep when she heard the blender start up downstairs.
She smiled to herself and got out of bed and went to the bathroom so she could shower and freshen up a bit before joining her husband and daughter for breakfast.
=
“Well, hello.” Mia said as she walked downstairs to see Jimmy pouring his protein shake in a cup with one hand while his cheek rested on Paisley’s head to stop her head from moving. It was really cute to see but what made it even more comical was the fact that Paisley was peeking over his burp rag clad shoulder almost as though she was checking to see who was disrupting her time with her dad.
“Morning babe.” Mia said as she kissed his bare shoulder before kissing Paisley’s head.
“How are you feeling?” Jimmy asked as he turned to face Mia.
“Still tired but a bit better. Thank you for letting me sleep.” Mia replied.
“Good.” He replied.
“Nice shorts Mr. Keene.” Mia whispered in his ear as she lightly smacked his butt.
Jimmy chuckled and winked at her. He knew that she loved it when he wore those specific shorts.
Mia was going to say something else, but Paisley beat her to it and started rooting and crying.
“Come here honey.” Mia said as she gently took the baby from Jimmy.
Mia walked over to the couch so that she could nurse paisley.
“There we go.” Mia said, feeling proud that she and Paisley had a really good breastfeeding system now.
Breastfeeding came easy at first but after a couple of days, Paisley appeared to be struggling which caused so much pain for Mia as her nipples felt as though they had been cut by a million tiny shards of glass. Some nights she even cried while Jimmy did everything he did to help his wife.
Jimmy stayed in the kitchen and made breakfast for Mia and cleaned up as he watched on. He was so proud of Mia for everything she had gone through. She was so strong and so brave. She made his world so much better. In his eyes, he’d be lost without her.
“The house looks good baby, thanks for cleaning it.” Mia said over her shoulder as she continued to nurse the baby.
Jimmy looked over at his wife and smiled.
“You’re welcome but you won’t be saying that when you hear what I found while I was cleaning.” Jimmy told her mischievously.
“Oh god, what?” Mia cringed, thinking of what he was on about.
“Your old ballet recital tapes.” He said.
Mia grunted. She did enjoy ballet when she was younger but now that she was older and so out of touch with it, she kind of loathed it, especially since it caused so many ankle issues now.
“Where did you find them?” Mia asked, moving to burp Paisley.
“Nowhere in particular.” He answered nonchalantly.
“We aren’t watching them.” Mia told him and he playfully pouted at her as he came over to where she was sitting.
When he was comfortable, he took the burp rag from Mia’s shoulder and took the baby so that he could finish burping her.
“Why not? I thought we could show Paisley how cute you were.” Jimmy whined, sticking his bottom lip out as paisley looked at him with wide eyes as she let out the biggest burp she could muster.
Mia giggled and Jimmy smiled.
“That’s my girl.” Jimmy praised, kissing the baby’s small cheek.
“Fine, we can watch them.” Mia said, leaning back.
“But.” Jimmy said, knowing there was more.
“We have to watch your old home movies too.” Mia said as a smirk grew on her face.
Jimmy just looked at her. Sure he liked reliving the old days but as he got older and now had a family, he’d much rather focus on the now and what the future held for him.
“We could make some popcorn and spend the day showing Paisley our story. Hell we could watch our wedding video.” Mia suggested.
“You just had breakfast.” Jimmy said.
Mia shrugged.
“So, I’m breastfeeding. I’m hungry all the time.” She told him, making him chuckle.
“Why don’t you pick the tape you want to show her first and we’ll go make some popcorn.” Jimmy said as he and Paisley headed for the kitchen.
=
Once the popcorn was ready, Jimmy and the baby rejoined Mia on the couch and Mia covered them all in a warm blanket as Jimmy situated the big bowl in front of him and Mia so they could both reach.
“Alright, let’s watch the story of us.” Mia said as Jimmy pressed play.
Mia laid her head Jimmy’s shoulder as they watched a tiny Mia frolic about the stage in her bright pink tutu.
“I love you so much.” Jimmy said softly as the same tiny Mia waved at the camera.
“I love you so much too.” Mia replied.
“Forever and always?” Jimmy asked.
Mia looked at him and kissed him tenderly.
“Forever and always.” Mia told him before kissing him tenderly once more before they turned back to the screen, reliving their pasts and showing their daughter their stories.
Awakening Gashadokuro - Ruikasa Week 2023
Day 1: Mythology
Tumblr media
Do you really want to die now?
Huh… Not really…
Kufufu… Be glad, mortal, for I’m gracious at the moment. Awaken now.
——————————————————————————————
When Rui opened his eyes, he didn’t know where he currently was. It looked like he was in a simple poor wooden house with its window closed. On the bedside table, he could see a tray of food he didn’t recognize. But he was quite hungry. Surely this is for him if it is placed here, right?
FoOd!
LeT’S EaT It!
GiMmE! GiMmE!
Taking a bite, Rui knows that it was a slice of raw meat. Strangely enough, he doesn’t seem to mind it. Perhaps he was too hungry to even think about it. There were a lot of questions in Rui’s head. Where is he now? How does he get here? Why is it so…loud?
StRaNgE PlAcE!
WhErE ArE We!
NeW KiD! NeW KiD!
Whose voice are those?
CaN We lEaVe nOoOoOwW…
I’M HuNgRy!
LeT’S RuIn tHiS PlAcE.
Why are they in his head?
I CaRvE ViOlEnCe…
HeY, nEw kId. LeT’S GeT OuT Of hErE.
WhErE’S ThE WaR?!
FiGhT! FiGhT! FiGhT!
Be quiet…
ChAoS! I WaNt cHaOs!
WhErE’S ThE FiGhT?! WhErE’S ThE WaR?!
BlOoD! BlOoD! BlOoD! BlOoD! BlOoD! BlOoD!
“SHUT UP!”
Someone held his hands that he never realized were covering his ears. He didn’t even realize that he was crying either. Through his blurry tears, he could see a blond boy with glasses, looking rather concerned but gentle. “Don’t listen to them,” he said. “Just breathe. Follow me.”
And Rui did, closing his eyes again, he breathed. In and out… In and out… Until the voices in his head calm down, barely above a whisper. He let out a sigh. “I’m okay now.”
“Good to know.” The boy smiled again. And that is when Rui notices the pair of tanuki ears on top of his head.
“You’re a tanuki…?”
“And you’re a Gashadokuro.”
“I’m…not?”
“I could see the guy above you.” Rui looked up and didn’t see anything, but he could feel a presence that was almost suffocating. “I’m guessing you had voices in your head?”
“How did you-”
“If seen someone like you before.” The boy sat on the side of his bed. “They made a deal with Gashadokuro and almost went insane from it.”
“A deal- Oh.” The first voice was from a Gashadokuro. “It asked if I want to die or not.” He turned to the blond boy again. “So, am I really dead?” But he didn’t even remember how he died.
“If it’ll help, I’m dead too,” the boy said. “Made a deal with a pair of tanuki and kitsune and here I am.”
“Who are you anyway?”
The boy grinned in an almost cheeky grin that Rui could imagine a tail popped out. “My name is Tenma Tsukasa. I found you in a nearby graveyard and brought you here.”
“So, you save me.” Rui pulled a cheeky smile. “I don’t have money on me. Can a kiss will be sufficient?”
Tsukasa let out a hiss with a blushing face. “Shame on you!”
Rui laughed, feeling light for the first time since he woke up. “But I thank you for saving me.”
Tsukasa sighed. “Not a problem. Just doing my job.”
“Your job is picking up dead people?”
“Well, let’s just say it’s a personal new purpose after death.” Tsukasa stood up and picked up a red umbrella that was on the table. He opened the umbrella and Rui could feel strong energy coming from Tsukasa. “One day, the Star Inn shall be known across the spirit and human world as a safe haven for lost souls. I still have a long way to go before I can make my name.”
“The Star Inn?”
Tsukasa gestured around the room. “This house can’t fit even two people. One day, I’ll get a new building.”
“How are you gonna do that?”
“Uh…” Tsukasa’s ears folded in embarrassment. “I haven’t thought about it.”
Rui chuckled. “Sound like an admirable ambition.” And it wasn’t a lie. He couldn’t remember his past life that well, but something about Tsukasa’s words pull something in his stilled-heart. To create a safe haven for lost souls…like him…
“Can I join?”
Tsukasa’s ears perked up again. “Huh?”
Rui stood up from the bed. “I want to join you. Four hands are better than two, right?”
Tsukasa’s ears folded again and Rui decided it was the cutest thing he had seen. “I-I wasn’t expecting that,” the tanuki said. He cleared his throat and stood up straight. “Well then,” he offered a hand, “welcome to the team, uh…”
Rui giggled and took Tsukasa’s hand, giving it a firm shake. “Kamishiro Rui, Pleasure to work with you.”
Chapter 23: Can We go Back into Town?
I started blinking as I woke up.  Grogu was still sleeping in my arms the same way I remembered him.  I breathed a sigh of relief, since my one job was to watch over him.  I slowly turned my head to see the rest of the cabin, half expecting Din to not be in it.  He was, though.  I squinted and looked harder.  He was only wearing his flight suit, no armor, and no boots.  I laughed.  He probably did the same thing I did and just passed out.
I went slowly to get up without disturbing the kid.  The suns were still up, although may have about 3 more hours until sunset.  Grogu started to stir in my arms.  He’ll probably be hungry when he gets up.  I took him quietly and set him down at the foot of Din’s bed and made my way to the kitchen area.
Suddenly, I heard some whimpering coming from the kid.  I couldn’t tell if he was still asleep, or if he was mad, I put him down.  So, I went over to Din’s bed a sat at the very end of it, slowly petting Grogu’s ears to help sooth him.  He blinked and looked up at me.  “Hey there.”  I whispered.  He looked around for a second, not knowing how he got there.  “I was just going to get you some food.  Are you hungry?”  Stupid question, I know.  His ears perked up.  I stood up to walk back to the kitchen.  “We’ll need to go back into Nevarro to get more food, buddy.  But I think I can whip us up something real fast tonight.”
Grogu started to stand up wobbly and grab onto Din’s pant leg to steady himself.  He realized Din was still sleeping.  He climbed onto his moving chest and sat there. Looking up towards his head and down towards his socked feet, as studying him and what to do next.  Gurgling noises came from him and his hand patted Din’s chest.  “Gah!”  He squeaked.
“Shoosh, we don’t want to wake him up.”  He looked at me as if he didn’t understand.  I was letting the food heat on the stove now and walked back over to pick him up off Din. “Come here.”  Grogu stood up and walked away from me down his legs.  He was balancing on them, looking awkward but still able.  He stopped on his shins, turned, and pointed to Din’s head.
“What?”  I asked quietly, bending over as if he would whisper to me.
Quickly, Din threw me to the ground, and stood over me again.
“Always be on guard.  Never assume anything because of what something looks like.”
“Dank farrik!  You scared the crap out of me!”  I yelled.  “Were you even asleep?”
“Yes, but I don’t sleep very deeply.  I heard you guys get up and lay there, watching.  You assumed I was in a deep sleep.  Never assume!”
“Ok, ok, get off.  You proved your point!”  But he didn’t move.  He still had me straddled, staring at me.  Grogu came waddling over to my head now.  “Did you know about this?”  I asked the kid.  He tilted his head and smiled.  Of course, the little womp rat knew.  I should have known, those two thick as thieves.  “Fine, fine.  I get it.  Get off me now.  I’m too sore to fight anymore today.”
“No.  Make me get off you without fighting me.”  Wait, what?  How the heck can I do that.  A, I was too sore and tired.  B, I couldn’t think straight right now.  And C, well like I said, I can’t think!  So, I just sunk down and laid perfectly still, trying to come up with a plan.  His grasp was tight, and he bared all his weight on me, but I wasn’t hurting.  I sighed, tried to stretch my legs and toes out.
Wait, I got it.  The kid.  I’ll use the kid!  I turned to Grogu and looked him in the eyes.  I needed to communicate without speaking.  I closed my eyes then.  In my head, I said, “Grogu, Grogu, can you hear me buddy?  If so, you need to help me out.  We need to get your dad off me.”  Grogu’s face appeared in my head and in my head, Din was on top of my still.  I needed a quick distraction, that is all.  In my head again, I asked the kid if he could help give a quick distraction so I can roll out.  Grogu pointed down to Mando’s legs.  All I needed was a half a second.  I opened my eyes to Din still staring, not moving a muscle.
“I’m getting a little bored here.”  He remarked.  I curled one of my legs inward, close enough for my toes to touch his socked foot.  He didn’t appear to have felt that.  Then I curled my toes to scratch the bottom of his foot.  That did it!  He jumped enough for me to roll out and stand up.  Still kneeling, he looked up at me.
“You’re too easy.”  I said snickering.  He didn’t say anything. I walked over to the stove and turned it off.  “Food’s ready.”  I called all chipper in my voice.  “Oh, and we need to go back into town for more food.”  I poured three bowls of the soup to let it cool.  Blowing on mine, Grogu chugged his down, so I gave him a little more.  “Save some for your dad, buddy!”
Din was now sitting on his bed, putting on his boots and armor.  I couldn’t wipe this stupid smile off my face.  I could totally tell he was really upset!  I just don’t think he’s used to any type of contact unless it’s pain.  When he was back in his gear, he grabbed the bowl and walked outside.  I looked down at Grogu who had finished his second bowl.  “Do you think he’s mad at me?  I asked quietly.
“Bah,” he said shaking his head no and looking at me again.  “Patu, gah.”  He pointed at me.
“I really need to learn your language, little man.”  But wait, I could communicate with him.  I’ve done it in the past, but it’s never the same or easy.  “Can we try to communicate somehow, on purpose?”  His ears went up, as if he was excited about that.  “Great!”  I put him on the table and turned right to him.  “Tell me something.”
Grogu blinked slowly, and I felt this wave over my eyes, almost misty, but I could still see clearly.  I could see Din’s face as he was eating.  He was not mad!  He actually had a small smile on his face eating the soup.  I felt warmth coming from him, like he was comfortable, not stressed, mad, or anything like that.  Was I doing this or was Grogu showing me?  How did all this work?  It didn’t matter.  That was enough for me at this time.
I heard Din get up from outside and walk back in.  “Are you two done eating?”  I nodded yes.  Now that I knew he wasn’t mad, I really didn’t want to say or do anything to upset him.  “Ok, grab your gear.  We will go into town.”
“But it’s getting late.  Should we wait until tomorrow?”
“We’ll be quick.  I also have a double seated speeder in the back, so we’ll use that instead of walking.”
“You have a what?”  I had never heard of that before.
“Your mom made one up for me awhile back and I had been transported here after we started living in the cabin.”  He walked outside and around the back.  It was covered up by a tarp.  There it was though.  Two seats, plus a small carrier for the kid.  Wow, I thought.  I looked the same size as a normal speeder.  But it had an extended piece on the back of the seat for another person.
“Cool.  Can I drive?”  I asked immediately, jumping into the driver’s seat.
“No.”  He picked up Grogu and put him in the small side carrier and put a little loop around him.  I got up out of the seat and stood there with an expression like, fine, but I’ll be driving this thing later.  I loved speeders!  It felt like you were flying!  Din then sat in the pilot’s seat, and I just stood there waiting for instructions like a child.  He started it up and looked at me.
“Do I just sit down behind you?  What do I hang onto?”  I asked looking around.
“Yes, and Grogu just puts his hands in the air.”  Wait, was that a joke?  Then I saw his shoulders quickly move up and down as he laughed at his own joke.
“Nice.” I said.  I sat down behind him and put my hands on his shoulders.
“Ready?”
“As I’ll ever be.”  We took off in a flash.  I smiled as I looked around to see everything fly back.  And just as Din had said, the kid had his hands in the air laughing.
Ocarina of Time Fanfic (Ch3)
Saria, Hero of the Forest Chapter 3: Sunshine and Storm Clouds Characters: Saria, Kakariko Villagers, Anju, Sharp, Flat…
Saria was restless. She remained in a half-conscious, half-unconscious state for hours, never reaching full sleep. Tossing and turning, she eventually woke up to the smell of fresh stew. Salty and savory smells made her mouth water. Wiping her mouth with her sleeve and rubbing her eyes, she remembered where she was. She was in a small house in Kakariko Village.
“Oh, you’re finally awake, dearie!” said a portly woman at a stove. “Are you hungry? I made potato stew if you’d like some.”
“Y-yes, I’d appreciate that. Thank you.”
As Saria sat up, she realized that Poppy was fast asleep inside her cap, right beside the pillow. She decided to leave the fairy alone and join the woman at the table. After being served a good portion of stew, Saria let the steam hit her face. Now she felt fully awake.
After blowing on a few spoonfuls of stew to cool it and eat, Saria said, “This is good! Thank you for this, miss…?”
“You can call me Ofukuro. And your name is Saria, right?”
“It is. My memory of our first meeting is fuzzy. I was pretty tired when I came here.”
“It’s fine. Your little fairy explained things.” Ofukuro paused to eat some stew then continued. “It’s probably not my business, but are doing all right, dear? You were crying in your sleep. Your fairy was so worried she stayed up the whole time to watch over you. She only recently fell asleep herself.”
Saria glanced back at Poppy, who looked so sweet and peaceful. One of the fairy’s legs twitched before she calmed down. The Kokiri’s expression softened at the sight.
“I’ve been better, but I’m trying to make the most of things. Thank you for your concern, Ofukuro.”
“Of course! And if you’re still troubled, you can always come talk to me.” By this time, the kind woman had finished her first bowl and got up to serve herself seconds – or so Saria thought. After filling several other bowls, she turned to Saria. “Since you’re awake, if it’s not too much trouble, my sons have been working all day in the village. They’re carpenters that were all hired by Impa to help expand this village, but their boss, Mutoh, is always working them half to death. Could you take some stew to them for me?”
“I’d be happy to.”
“Wonderful! They’re all over village, but it shouldn’t be hard to recognize them. They’re all quite big, with hair the same color as mine. There’s Ichiro, Jiro, Sabooro, and Shiro.”
“Ichiro, Jiro, Sabooro, and Shiro. Got it.”
Showing great dexterity, Saria grabbed two bowls and balanced two more on her arms. She swiftly made her way through the village, seeking out the oversized men. It didn’t take long to find the first one.
The first son, Ichiro, was found inside a finished but empty building. His eyes lit up as he saw the stew and thanked Saria profusely for it, slurping it down in a go. After slamming the bowl on the counter, he said, “Ah, thanks for that!”
“You’re very welcome,” said Saria. “Say, if you don’t mind me asking, what are you doing in here?”
Ichiro leaned in and said, “Between you and me, I’m actually hiding from the boss.”
“O-oh, is that so?”
“I nearly threw out my back yesterday carrying wood and I barely get paid anything! I’ll never get rich like this! It kinda makes me wonder if there’s a way to work less but get paid more.” The man scratched his chin. “I suppose I could become a thief.”
Did he just say that out loud? Saria thought.
“Are you sure that’s the best course of action? What if you get caught? Wouldn’t you get in trouble?” asked Saria.
“Whaaaat? I’m sure that wouldn’t happen. I just gotta… Find some people who are already thieves and join ‘em. I’m sure my brawn would impress them!” The man laughed to himself. Saria decided to ditch him and move on.
Saria bumped into the second son after leaving the empty building. Jiro, a man with puffy hair, was running things back and forth between the center of town and up near the gate. He gasped upon seeing Saria masterfully balance all the hot bowls.
“Oh my goodness! Is that stew?”
After swiping a bowl, he quickly ate but soon regretted it, burning his tongue. “Ow ow ow ow!”
It was an amusing but worrying sight. Saria asked, “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’ll be fine. I was just so hungry I couldn’t help myself! The boss is always making us work on all kinds of projects in the village. It’s super hard work!”
Without missing a beat, Jiro continued his tasks, all while balancing the bowl atop his fluffy hair.
The third son, Sabooro, was found atop a half-finished building in the middle of the village. He was standing on a brick wall overlooking things while the fourth son, Shiro, was running supplies up to the building from the windmill.
“Hey, Ofukuro wanted you to have this,” said Saria, handing Sabooro a bowl.
“Ooooh, thank you!” The man sat down on the building frame, blew on the stew to cool it and started to eat, taking his time to enjoy every bite. “I gotta thank her for this. This really hit the spot! Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve seen you around before. Are you moving into the village?”
Saria sat down on the building frame as well, saying, “What? Oh no, I’m just passing through. I was just doing Ofukuro a favor since she gave me a place to rest.”
“I see, I see,” the man nodded, enjoying the stew. After taking a break from eating, he looked out across the village. “That’s just how we are in this place. It was Impa that finally opened this village to the public so we poor folk could have a place to live. She even hired all of us to help expand it since we started running out of room for new people. I think that kindness was contagious, because everyone is always trying to help others in their own way here.”
Saria listened intently to the man’s words. Her first impression of Impa was frankly terrifying, but little by little, she started to realize that hard exterior bellied a great deal of kindness.
“I see… Impa is something else, huh?”
“You’re telling me! It’s a shame she’s always so busy. She used to live here you know, before she had to spend all her time working in the castle. She may as well be the head of this village, though we rarely see her. I wonder when she’ll be back?”
“If I happen to see her, I’ll ask her.”
“Well aren’t you a helpful sort?”
“I’m just trying fit in.”
The pair laughed together, and Saria started to feel at peace. The people she had met outside the forest were sometimes strange, scary, or downright rude, but there were many others who were pleasant and kind. She decided that, if possible, she would show all the Kokiri this village when time allowed.
“Oh wow, is that stew?” said Shiro as he swiped the bowl and went back to work without a second thought. Sabooro and Saria froze at the display, unsure how to react.
“Don’t mind my brother,” said Sabooro nervously. “Shiro and the others are, um, how should I put this? A bit blunt. They don’t mean to be rude, they just don’t think about these kinds of things.”
“Reminds me of someone I know back in my village.”
When Sabooro finished his stew, Saria went to reach for the bowl, but the man stopped her. “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of this and the other bowls myself. I’m sure you’re plenty busy.”
“Oh, I wouldn’t say that. I’m still waiting for a friend to wake up.”
“Really? Well… If you’re feeling especially charitable, I know of a way you can kill time. You see that woman over there by the animal pen?”
Saria turned her head. A rather distressed-looking woman with dark red hair and blue eyes was frantically running about trying to grab cuccos, all of which were roaming free throughout the village.
“That’s Anju,” said Sabooro. “She’s the daughter of our boss. I always feel bad for her, because she takes care of the village cuccos even though she has an allergy to them. I’ve helped her with the cuccos before, but they escape the pen so much it’s hard to keep up with them.”
“I see…” Saria looked around, noting the cuccos scattered throughout the village. She left the man by the brick wall, darting around the village at great speed and scooping up every cucco she could find until she dropped them back into the pen.
“W-wha? How did you do that so quickly? Thank you!” said Anju.
“It’s no big deal! I heard you had trouble with these little guys, so I thought I’d help.”
“Oh… I didn’t mean to be a bother.”
“No no, it’s fine.”
Despite Saria’s words, Anju hung her head low. “I don’t have many useful skills so I try and do what I can to help out around here. I was fine taking care of the cuccos for a while, but one day they started giving me goosebumps. It’s so troublesome, but I don’t want to stop and doing nothing all day.”
“Is it really so wrong to sit around? I mean… I know how you feel, but it’s okay to take a break every once and a while too. Don’t be so hard on yourself.”
“I appreciate your kind words, but it’s hard convincing myself it’s okay.”
She has quite the complex, Saria thought. I wonder…
“Hey, do you know if anyone around here has a sewing kit?”
“I think that house over there might have one. Why do you ask?”
Saria took off running. “You’ll see.”
After talking with another villager and getting some supplies, Saria fashioned a thick pair of work gloves for Anju.
“Here, that should help.”
“Oh! Thank you so much! But why the gift?”
“I figure if I can’t convince you to take a break, I can at least make handling the cuccos easier. I made you a bandana as well so you could cover your face when you needed to. I hope it helps!”
As Anju gripped the gloves and bandana, tears streamed from her eyes.
“W-wait, what did I do?” asked Saria.
“I… I… You’re just so kind! I don’t know what to say!!”
Rubbing the back of her head, Saria said, “Don’t worry so much about it! It’s fine. Honest!”
“No, this won’t do. I was raised better. Hold on!”
Anju sped to the top of the village. It sounded like she was frantically searching through her house. When she returned, she gave Saria a fine glass bottle (eerily similar to one Impa had).
“Here, take this!”
“Anju, it’s fine.”
“No! I refuse! I can’t just let you be so nice without trying to give something in return! Please, accept it!”
Feeling defeated, Saria smiled and accepted the bottle, putting it away in one of her pouches.
“Ah, well, I’m sure I can use it for something… Thank you very much, Anju.”
“And you as-” Anju gasped. “Oh no! I don’t even know your name! I’m sorry!”
“It’s Saria.”
“Saria? I’ll do my best to remember the name. Thank you once again!”
Saria nodded along, smiling but a little nervous as she walked away.
She’s a bit sensitive, it seems. That’s okay, though. It wouldn’t be the first time I’ve dealt with people like that.
The Kokiri reminisced about a time in her village when two of the boys were playfighting with wooden swords. One was a bit too rough and tore a hole in the other’s tunic. As Saria had helped fashion the tunic for the boy, he became so mad that he lashed out at his opponent, hurting him more than he intended. Saria had to break up the fight and set the two aside, giving both a talking to. After Saria helped fix the tunic and gave the other some medicine, they both wept profusely before Saria, apologizing over and over for their behavior. Those same two boys went on to become good friends. Saria realized she had been smiling the whole time she was reminiscing, her cheeks grown warm. Somehow, spending time in Kakariko Village and helping the villagers was making her homesick.
I should visit them soon…
With matters settled in the village, Saria returned to Ofukuro’s house to check on Poppy. When she stepped inside the house, Poppy flew straight into her chest.
“There you are! Why were you gone so long? I was worried about you!” the fairy fumed.
“I was helping out in the village. Don’t worry so much.” Saria gave Poppy a pat on the head, frustrating the fairy.
“Don’t tell me what to do! I have every right to worry after everything that’s happened!
Even as Poppy continued to grumble, Saria chuckled at the sight. Hearing Poppy’s words brought Saria great joy. It was a busy morning, but somehow, she felt more rested than she had when she first woke up.
“Hey, Ofukuro, we’re taking off now. Thanks for all the help!” said Saria.
“Leaving so soon? All right, dearie! Feel free to come back anytime!”
Saria and Poppy said their goodbyes, leaving the house behind and making their way toward the gate that led to Death Mountain. As they did, Saria noticed a man stuck on a roof. He was looking past the Windmill to a corner of the village she had yet to explore.
“Looks like another storm,” said the man.
“A storm? With this weather?”
“There’s always a storm brewing over the graveyard. Not sure why.”
“A graveyard? What’s a graveyard?”
The man looked puzzled at Saria’s words. “Are you serious? It’s where the dead are buried.”
“Oh, I’m sorry. When someone passes away in my village, we simply return them to the soil under our great tree.”
The man seemed unsure how to respond. He said, “Graveyards aren’t too different from that. The one in this village uses stones to mark where the dead are buried. Past members of the Sheikah and Royal Family are buried there, supposedly. Old Dampé maintains the place if you’re really curious, though I suppose he’s likely asleep at the moment…”
Saria looked to Poppy. “Why would there be perpetual storms over such a place? Wouldn’t such an important place have protective magics? Unless…” Saria paused, lost in thought.
“I don’t know, but it gives me the creeps,” said Poppy.
“We should check it out, just in case.”
“What? Why? We have a mission to get to!”
“I want to make sure the village will be okay. It should only take a minute.”
Saria thanked the man on the roof and walked away. Poppy watched her go and fumed. “You say that about everything!”
---
When Saria first stepped into the village graveyard, the weather seemed calm, yet the closer she got, more and more dark clouds formed overhead, rumbling with thunder and lightning. Soon enough, rain was coming down all over the graveyard. Passing through the fence that separated the village from the graves, Saria found a large stone that read:
“R.I.P. Here lie the souls of those who swore fealty to the Royal Family of Hyrule. The Sheikah, guardians of the Royal Family and founders of Kakariko, watch over these spirits in their eternal slumber.”
“So it’s true,” said Saria. “This really is the burial site of the Sheikah and Royal Family.”
“Sounds like a good reason to leave them alone,” said Poppy.
Saria looked around. There was a small wooden shack to her right – likely the home of the gravekeeper – and a small boy who was swinging about a stick up ahead, saying he was imitating Dampé because he was bored. Other than that, there was nothing but rows and rows of graves with elaborately carved headstones. When she looked at the far end of the graveyard, Saria felt a wind blow that chilled her to the bone.
“What was that? It felt so… Unnatural.”
The Kokiri made her way to the very top of the graveyard. A large grave with two smaller graves dedicated to composers sat just before a raised fenced-off area. A strange, dark energy could be felt emanating from the cavern beyond the fencing up above.
“Curious… I wonder what’s up there?” asked Saria.
Poppy, who kept looking over her shoulder, said, “I don’t think it’s our business to know. We should get out of here!” Poppy checked her surroundings once more. “There’s something not right about this place. The spirits here are… Restless.”
“I feel it too, but this could be a good opportunity to learn about the Sheikah. Impa seems nice enough, but I still don’t trust the Sheikah.” Looking up at the fenced-off area, Saria said, “They’re hiding something, and I want to know what.”
Stepping closer to the large grave between the composers’ graves, she noticed an inscription, as well as the symbol of the Royal Family. Thinking back to the song Impa taught her, curiosity got the better of the Kokiri girl.
“It proves your connection to the Royal Family, does it? I wonder…”
Standing before the large grave, Saria played the song using her ocarina. Up above, the storm clouds continued to rumble and quake. They grew in intensity until finally, a lightning bolt shot out of the sky and struck the large grave, shattering it and revealing a deep pit. The explosive bolt startled the young boy in the back of the graveyard, sending him running.
“Ha! I knew it!” said Saria in triumph. “Well, except for the exploding stone part. I’m not sure how to fix that…”
Poppy floated over the dark pit, looking down. “What do you think is in there?” she asked.
“Sheikah secrets, no doubt,” Saria smugly grinned.
Saria joined her friend at the edge of the pit. It was deep enough that the faint light around the graveyard could only illuminate the first few feet. Saria was still curious, but now she wasn’t sure how to even get down there. While she was distracted, a sudden kick to her back knocked her down the hole.
“Saria!!” shouted Poppy, flying after her.
The Kokiri fell for what felt like hundreds of feet. Down, down, down into darkness she went, yet before she hit the bottom, she stopped mid-air and floated gently onto a magical platform that shimmered with light. After straightening herself out, she looked up.
“Saria, are you all right?!” asked Poppy, joining her.
“I’m fine. I don’t know what happened, though. It felt like I was pushed. Did you see who did it?”
Poppy raised a finger and was about to speak but stopped. “I… Flew down too fast to notice.”
Saria sighed. “It’s fine…” Testing her foot against the sparkling platformed, she realized it was enchanted. “I see. This should take us back to the top.”
“Oh good! Let’s get going, then.”
“Hold on,” Saria raised a hand. “We’ve come this far already. I sense dark spirits further within.” Saria drew her dagger and walked forward.
“That seems like a good reason to not stick around. Why do you want to look around so badly, anyway? Are you that curious?”
Saria reached the middle of the blue tiled chamber. The floor was littered with the bones of animals, monsters, and Hylians. She shuddered, holding a hand to her mouth.
“Wicked things truly do rest here…”
Keese noticed Saria and took flight, attacking her. Saria sliced at them as they attacked, and soon after their bodies disappeared.
“Poppy…”
“Yeah?”
“I want to keep those villagers safe. Some of them are rude and dimwitted, but many others are kind, doing their best to live their lives. I couldn’t possibly leave knowing they might be in danger.”
The fairy calmed down and looked at her friend with a tear in her eye. “Saria…”
The Kokiri girl stepped lightly around the chamber. No other monsters attacked. She did notice something else, however. She could hear the whispers of the dead.
“Shine light on the living dead…” said one of the voices.
“Those who break into the Royal Tomb will be obstructed by the lurkers in the dark…” said another.
A third voice said, “I… See… You…”
Saria stepped back. “What?”
A ghostly creature manifested itself before her, holding a lantern. A second spirit appeared behind her. Each spirit had a mustache, a composer’s baton, and flowing tattered robes with the symbol of the Triforce on them. Wearing hats, one was decorated with the image of the sun, while the other was decorated with the moon.
“Stop right there, trespasser!” said one spirit.
“You shall go no further!” said the other.
Before Saria had the chance to explain herself, the ghosts spun their lanterns around and attacked. Saria backflipped away, dodging the attack. The ghosts simply course-corrected and continued their charge. Saria answered their charge, dashing between the spirits and striking each with her dagger. The two spirits’ eyes widened in shock before they fell apart. The lanterns shattered on the ground, revealing ghostly flames. These flames, it would seem, were the true spirits.
“GYAAAAH! YOU KILLED ME… Unbelievable!” said one spirit.
“GYAAAAH! I’M DEAD AGAIN! Wait…” the other spirit said, looking Saria up and down. “You don’t look like one of Ganondorf’s agents.
“What are you talking about?” the first one shouted. “Of course she works for Ganondorf! Why else would she be down here?!”
“Hey!” shouted Saria. “I do not work for Ganondorf. Let’s get that straight right now. Furthermore, is that the only reason you attacked me? Have his agents come down here before?”
The fiery spirits looked at one another, then the right one spoke.
“Hm… Perhaps introductions are in order. My name is Sharp.”
“And I’m Flat!”
“We’re the Composer Brothers,” said Sharp, taking a bow. “We Sheikah could never figure out the power of the Triforce, but we almost completed our study of controlling time with the tones of ocarinas. Uh, I mean… Actually, we did complete that study! We were almost famous!”
“But then Ganondorf got involved…” said Flat.
“That wicked sorcerer,” Saria clenched her fist. “What did he do this time?”
“He tried to steal our results!” said Sharp. “Of course we would never let someone like him reap the fruits of our research. We gave our lives to protect our secret.”
Flat nodded. “To tell you the truth, we were each studying a different song. I was studying the moon.”
“And I, the sun. We once had a mission to study the mysterious powers of the Royal Family, which led us down this path.”
“Now that I think of it, how did you get down here? Only members of the Royal Family should be able to reach this place.”
“Well… I’m technically an envoy,” said Saria, avoiding eye contact with the ghosts.
“Oh, is that so? Perhaps we finally have the chance to share our work!” said Sharp. He turned to face a doorway up a flight of stairs next to unlit torch sconces. “Through that door at the far end of the next chamber, the last of our work has been preserved. However…”
“However?”
“A bunch of monsters are waiting to attack any intruders,” said Flat.
“What kind of monsters?” Poppy asked, biting her nails.
“The living dead,” said Sharp. “Terrible, hollow shells of men come and gone. I want you to see our work, but it may be too dangerous.”
“What would I find if I made it past them?” asked Saria.
“A magical song,” said Flat. “One that makes the moon chase the sun, and the sun chase the moon.”
“A song that could change night to day? Is such a thing even possible?”
“To be honest, we never tested it.”
Saria stumbled back.
“We’re pretty sure it works, but we were in a bit of a rush at the end. If it does work, however, you would have the power to shift the flow of time itself… Interested?”
“I’m not sure. What do you think, Poppy?” asked Saria.
“I mean it could be useful, but I don’t know what you would do with such a power. Is it really worth the risk?”
Saria pondered the matter, then spoke to the Composer Brothers again. “What are the chances these living dead could make it to the surface?”
“Now that the seal is broken?” asked Flat. “Oh, I’d say pretty good. If they can get the door open – which only requires you to touch it - that shiny platform will take them to the surface no problem!”
Sharp glared at his brother. “Are you serious? Who even put that thing there? This is a disaster! If those things get out, who knows what they’ll do!”
“I’ll take care of them,” said Saria. “I realize now I should never have come here, but I made this mess, so I’m going to clean it up.”
“Saria, are you sure?” asked Poppy. Saria nodded.
“Then before we go,” said Sharp, “let me give you some advice. The eyes of these creatures have a terrible power. They can paralyze you with a stare. They cannot see with their eyes, however. If you’re careful, you may be able to get the drop on them.”
“All right, I’ll keep that in mind. Thank you. The both of you,” Saria smiled.
Flat blushed. “Oh, it was nothing… I’m just happy all our hard work will finally amount to something.”
Sharp narrowed his gaze at his brother before saying, “Well, try not to make a habit of sticking your nose in other peoples’ graves.”
And then the flames puttered out, dissipating into the air. Before Saria entered the next chamber, Poppy slipped underneath Saria’s cap.
“I’ll just wait under here. I’m… Sure you’ll be fine.”
Saria could feel the fairy shivering. “That’s quite all right. If things get too dangerous, return to the surface and warn the others of the danger.”
Poppy gave an affirming nod, then slipped under the cap. Saria then touched a hand to the door, causing it to slide up and let her inside before shutting behind her.
Once everyone left the first chamber, a new figure slipped down the hole. After safely landing on the ground, she chuckled quietly to herself.
“So this is where they hid it…”
---
Saria stepped lightly, keeping her back to the left wall. At the end of a short hallway the room opened up. She could see pools of green sludge bubbling and release a foul gas into the air. It had a sharp, sickly-sweet smell to it. Dotting the visible walkways around the sludge were emaciating figures laying on the ground, crouching, or just staring at the walls. It looked like wooden masks had been strapped to their faces – and Saria had no doubt it was against their will.
Three, maybe four… It’s hard to tell with all that gas, Saria thought. They’re far enough away from each other that if I just stay quiet, I could-
A high-pitched whistle rang through the air from behind Saria. Someone or something had alerted the redead, and now they were all on the move.
Who did that?!
One of the redead slowly turned in Saria’s direction, shuffling forward. For just a moment, her eyes met the eyes of the redead, and a blood-curdling scream echoed in her mind, freezing her in place.
Shoot! I was careless! My body… I can’t… Move!
One step after another, the redead grew closer… And closer… A bony arm with long, bony fingers reached out to try and grab the Kokiri, but she broke out of the paralysis in the nick of time. The girl darted behind the undead monster and slashed away with her dagger, making the creature drop to the ground. Blue blood dripped from Saria’s dagger as red blood dripped from her lips. When she was certain it was slain, Saria ran for cover, wiping her mouth on her sleeve.
Had to bite my tongue just to free myself. I can’t even imagine what it would have done if I wasn’t quick enough.
After catching her breath, Saria readied herself for the next attack, but then something strange happened. The remaining redeads shuffled over to the one on the ground, crouched down, and just… Stared at it. Poppy, who was quivering beneath Saria’s cap, poked her head out and watched.
“W-w-w-what are they d-d-d-doing?”
“I’m not sure…” whispered Saria.
A few seconds passed, and the fallen redead’s body seemed to disappear, almost as if it were never real to begin with. Whether the creatures finished their business or lost interest, they all stood back up and turned away.
Now’s my chance!
Saria ran across the room, hopped over one of the sludge pits, then went wild with her dagger, striking the redead down one after the other. As frightening and durable as they were, they were too sluggish to defend themselves. With the last of the redead slain, Saria gasped for air. The gas in the room made it hard to breathe. The Kokiri struggled to get away, slumping against one of the walls and panting.
“It’s… Done…”
“Saria, you don’t look so good,” said Poppy. “Here.”
The fairy touched her hands to Saria’s forehead and glowed with magic power. Trace amounts of life energy were passed to the Kokiri, reversing the effects of the toxic fumes. Within seconds, Saria was back to normal.
“Poppy, you didn’t have to.”
“I’m your fairy, remember? I can’t sit by and do nothing while you’re suffering. Besides, if I let you fall here, it’s not like I could take on Ganondorf by myself.”
“Right you are,” said a woman’s voice. Saria turned to face the source of the voice, narrowly dodging a dagger hucked at her neck. Saria knocked a second dagger out of the air by striking it with her own, and then she finally saw her. It was a tall and muscular woman with bright red hair, dark skin, and vibrant yellow eyes. She wore jewelry, thick makeup, and colorful clothes, as well as light armor across her forearms and shins. Seeing the resemblance, Saria realized she was a Gerudo woman.
“Who are you?” asked Saria.
“Wouldn’t you like to know, fairy girl,” the woman smirked. After pulling out a small chunk of stone from her pants pocket, the woman casually tossed the stone up and down with one hand. “Thanks for the distraction. It would have been a pain to get this without you.”
“Wait, that inscription!” Poppy shouted. “Is that the Composer Brothers’ song?”
“That’s right,” said the Gerudo. “The only copy of it in the world, no less. I had ample time to remove it from that tablet at the back of the chamber. Ganondorf will be pleased once he sees this.”
Saria readied her dagger and drew a deku nut. “I won’t let you get away.”
“Oh, come on now. What do you care? You probably don’t even realize the value of this song. Don’t be a hero, girl. It’s not worth your life.” The woman grinned once more. “Unless you want to trade something for it. Call it a hunch, but I have a feeling you have something even more valuable than this song in one of those pouches.” The Gerudo then pocketed the stone and stepped forward, drawing a pair of scimitars as if from the air itself.
“Be careful, Saria. I can tell she’s no pushover,” said Poppy.
“The fairy is right, you know. I may be a lowly spy at the moment, but one day all of Gerudo Desert will know the name ‘Kitoga’!”
The Gerudo warrior dashed forward, swiping down at Saria. The Kokiri dodged, swerving to the right as she lashed out with her dagger. Kitoga parried, swinging once more with her second blade. Saria ducked, and Poppy shot up into the air, taking the cap with her. The pair of girls traded blows, one after the other as sparks fired from their blades every time they met.
Saria was pushed more and more on the defensive as Kitoga started reading her movements. Soon enough, all Saria could do was parry the Gerudo’s blades as she was pushed back toward a wall. Just when it seemed like there was no more room to go, Saria flipped back onto the wall and kicked off of it, crashing into Kitoga and knocking them both to the ground. One of the Gerudo’s scimitars fell into the green sludge while Saria’s dagger was all the way on the other side of the room.
“Damn you!” shouted Kitoga as she hucked a dagger at the Kokiri. Saria tried to dodge, but the dagger cut across her shoulder, drawing blood. Closing the distance to her own weapon, Saria turned and threw her cloak into the air, blocking Kitoga’s line of sight just long enough for Saria to toss a deku nut. Before the Gerudo realized what happened, Saria had knocked away her second scimitar, leaving her weaponless before the Kokiri.
“It’s over,” said Saria.
“Is it?!”
Kitoga threw a roundhouse kick at the girl, forcing Saria to dodge. The momentum was too much for the Gerudo’s pocket, however, and the stone was flung across the room right toward a sludge pit.
“No!” shouted Saria. The Kokiri leapt for the stone and caught it midair, landing safely on the other side of a pit. When she turned to look for the Gerudo, she was gone.
“Poppy, where’d she go?”
“She went through the door!”
Saria pursued, opening the door. By the time she was on the other side, Kitoga was already rising into the air via the magic platform. After disappearing in a beam of light, she was gone. Saria’s shoulders sunk. After smacking the side of her fist into the wall, she went back to the second chamber to retrieve her cloak.
“What’s wrong, Saria? You got the song. You won, didn’t you?” asked Poppy.
“She could have told us more about Ganondorf and his plans,” said Saria.
“Ah. You make a fair point. So it’s a draw, then.”
“It would seem so.”
Saria walked to the far end of the second chamber, finding a stone tablet on the wall. Missing from the tablet was the chunk of stone she was now carrying.
“Do I… Put it back? It seems wrong to take now.”
“She’d come back for it if you did,” said Poppy. “Might as well hold onto it for now.”
Nodding in agreement, Saria read the tablet aloud.
“This poem is dedicated to the memory of the dearly departed members of the Royal Family.
The rising sun will eventually set. A newborn’s life will fade. From sun to moon, moon to sun… Give peaceful rest to The living dead.”
“Interesting poem,” said Poppy. “So this is what the Composer Brothers left behind.”
Looking at the chunk of stone, Saria realized it had a musical staff with a set of notes indicating the song. After playing the song with her ocarina, she felt a strange magic wash over the air, as if the very sky had shifted. No longer was a dark storm brewing overhead. The clouds had parted, and the sun shined all over Kakariko.
A voice whispered in the air, “Restless souls wander where they don’t belong. Bring them calm with the Sun’s Song.”
Saria and Poppy looked around. Somehow the dark, dreary chamber felt… Peaceful. The Kokiri pocketed the Sun Song stone then looked to her companion.
“It’s time. Let’s get out of here.”
“Right,” said Poppy.
As Saria and Poppy walked back, Saria stopped, looking at the abandoned scimitar on the ground. Picking it up, Saria noticed the fine craftsmanship of the blade. Not only was the large blade sharp and thin enough to split hairs, but it also had a jeweled knuckle guard. Saria’s eyes widened as she looked at her reflection in the blade.
“Saria? You’re not taking that, are you?”
“I mean… She wouldn’t miss it, right?”
“Saria…”
“What? It’d be a waste to leave it in this tomb!”
“I can’t believe you!” Saria winced at Poppy’s chastising, but then the fairy said, “I knew it was a good idea to bond with you, you little rascal!” The fairy ruffled the Kokiri’s hair, making Saria blush. Despite the heavy mood of before, Saria’s heart felt strangely light. Once the pair were in the first chamber, they stepped onto the magic platform and were pulled to the surface by a beam of light.
“Gah!” a Hylian guard shouted, falling backwards.
“Oh! Sorry about that!” said Saria after returning to the graveyard.
“I should say! What were you doing down there?! Were you grave robbing?”
“No, it’s not like that!”
“Then explain that fancy sword!”
“This was a Royal Family tomb!” said Poppy. “Why would they have Gerudo weaponry?”
“W-why… Wouldn’t… Um… Hm. Fair enough. I still don’t know why you were down there, though.”
Unsure of what to do, Saria presented Zelda’s letter. The guard took the letter and looked it over.
“Wait a minute… This is the princess’s handwriting! Let’s see here… Hmm… Okay… ‘This is Saria… she is under my orders to save Hyrule.’ Wait, seriously?”
The guard started laughing hysterically at the letter. Saria stepped back, feeling uncomfortable.
“Is everything okay?” she asked.
“Ha ha ha! Oh, I think everything is fine. Seems the princess has come up with another funny game to play! Okay, okay, all right. Since she obviously put you up to this, I won’t punish you. In fact, I might as well ask. What else did she want you to do?”
“To travel up to Death Mountain?”
“Ha! Now that’s rich! All right, if that’s your orders, I’ll help you through the gate. Just be careful, Ms. Hero!”
The guard laughed all the way to the gate. Along the way, Saria and Poppy learned that he had been called to the graveyard to investigate the explosion from earlier. No one had seen any sign of a Gerudo. Even when Saria told the guard what happened, he didn’t believe her.
“Then how do you explain this fancy sword?!” she protested.
“I mean… Lots of Gerudo have been coming to Hyrule castle as of late. Who’s to say you didn’t buy that at the marketplace in Castle Town?”
“He’s got you there,” said Poppy.
“Tell you what,” the guard continued. “It’s clear there must be something strange going on, what with all this explosive lighting and Gerudo scimitar business. I’ll keep an eye out for anything strange, but in return, you can do me a favor. Have you ever heard of the Happy Mask Shop?”
Saria thought back to her time in Castle Town. The vague image of a colorful shop came to mind, but she never went inside.
“That sounds familiar…”
“It’s a new business in the market. Everyone’s talking about it! You must have seen my boy hanging out in the graveyard, right? He’s always pestering me for this really popular mask. Next time you head to town, maybe drop on by the shop and pick it up. You’d be doing me a huge favor.”
“Is there a reason you can’t get it yourself?” asked Poppy. The guard stared at her and gestured to the gate.
“I can’t just up and leave. My whole job is standing here and making sure the wrong people don’t pass through the gate. If I left my post without good cause, they’d hang me by my ankles until my face turned purple!”
“He’s got you there,” Saria said to Poppy with a smirk.
“Shush, you.”
“One more thing,” said the guard. “Try and be careful while you hike up the trail. Death Mountain isn’t just any ordinary mountain – it’s an active volcano! Sometimes it shoots whole chunks of rocks and hot magma out. That, and the locals are uh… Well, you’ll see, but they’re a bit careless as of late. Just be careful where you walk, all right?”
“Will do. Thank you, sir.”
“No, thank you Ms. Hero! Wah ha ha!”
As Saria walked off, Poppy floated after her and grumbled.
“I hate that guy.”
Please Do Not Repost My Content Anywhere
It was three in the morning when you woke up out of a peaceful sleep.
It was the most sleep you had gotten in a week since you had been sick.
You had been throwing up for the past four days thinking that you had some type of food poisoning from a new restaurant that your sister wanted try earlier that week and thought nothing else of it.
For some unknown reason, you glanced at the calendar that was near your room door and with a sudden realization got wide eyes when it was clear what day it was.
Throwing up in the morning and being extremely hungry for the rest of the day
The fatigue
Your boobs were sore
And you had been peeing more than usual
No.
You couldn't be.
You reached for your phone on the bedside table to call your boyfriend because you were scared shitless.
Luckily he only lived across the street and could be there in a matter of two minutes.
He was about to be annoyed since it was three in the morning and a Monday meaning that you both had to go to school, but this definitely could not wait.
It took you calling him twice, but he finally answered.
"Babe.... what.... is going on?"
“Jackman, get your ass across the street now!”
“Baby, it is literally three in the morning. This couldn’t wait?” Jack groaned before turning to face his window.
“Obviously not! This is an emergency!”
“What in the world could be an emergency at three in the morning? And stop yelling."
“MY PERIOD IS A WEEK LATE.”
It was silent for a few seconds before he said anything.
You both knew the parents would kill you both.
“Stop fucking playing. I always use a condom."
"I wish I was now come over here!"
Jack was climbing into your window within fifteen minutes to see you sitting on the bed and staring off into space. He came and sat next to you while taking your hand in his and rubbing small circles on the back of it in an attempt to get you to calm down.
A couple minutes had passed before either of you said anything.
"Sooo, I thought you just had food poisoning?"
"I thought so too. But, my period has NEVER been late. It's like clockwork every single month. It comes on the 7th and it’s now the 14th"
"But we always use protection."
"The last time we didn't, remember? 'I'll just pullout' headass."
"Oh, forgot about that..."
"You were so excited to get your dick wet that you forgot to buy them and my dumbass didn't say anything."
Of course this would have to happen two weeks before your appointment to get started on birth control pills.
"So, what's next? Because you have to take a test to be sure, right?"
"Yeah, and nothing is open right now."
"We just have to wait until school's over."
"There is no way I'll be able to focus for seven hours. Besides, I'm still throwing up from time to time."
"Then I'll go and buy it and come straight here."
"We're only 16, we can’t take care of a child. We can barely take care of ourselves."
"Y/N, just... try and relax. We don't know for sure."
"How can you be so calm about this? Have you met our parents?"
"Trust and believe I'm putting on a good front right now."
Even though you had been the one throwing up, Jack just knew his dinner was about to be covering your bedroom walls as well as the floor.
"Do you think McDonald's will hire me? Gotta pay for the kid somehow."
You were spoiled and had never worked a day in your life.
Looks like that was over now.
"No. With your slow ass you'll be messing up orders left and right."
"Wow, just knock your girl while she's down."
"I'm playin, baby girl. But I'll be making enough money for the both of us so you don't have to worry."
"Hmm..."
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Just praying that our kid doesn't have your head. I can't push that out."
"Seriously?"
Jack didn't sleep for the rest of the night and before he knew it his alarm was going on alerting him that it was time to get ready. He stayed with you for about another hour until you fell back asleep before heading back to his house across the street. Still feeling like he was going to throw up at any minute, he decided to skip out on eating the breakfast that his mom made.
Clay was sitting at the kitchen table the entire time eyeing his older brother knowing that something was wrong and decided that he would get it out of him later when they were by themselves.
"Where are you off to in such a hurry? And why do you look paler than usual?" Maggie asked concerned while looking at her oldest child. She attempted to feel his forehead to check to see if he had a temperature before he swatted her hand away.
“Oh, umm... I just didn’t sleep very well last night. And me and Urban have a group assignment that we have to meet early for.”
“Well, okay. Do you feel alright though?”
“Yep, fine.”
Without another word Jack grabbed his backpack and made sure that Clay was following behind him. When Clay went to sit in the back of Jack’s car, he made a motion for him to come and sit in the front.
“Isn’t Y/N coming with us?”
“No, she’s still not feeling well.”
“She’s been out all week. That can’t just be food poisoning.”
“Hmm...”
Jack didn’t answer his younger brother and calmly put the car in drive before taking off. The car ride was silent the entire duration of him driving towards the school. It helped that Clay’s middle school and the high school were next to one another. Clay didn’t mind being early if he could get a ride from his brother and not have to worry about waiting at the bus stop.
“What is up with you? Mom’s right. You’re a lot paler than you usually are and you look like you’re about to throw up at any minute.”
Jack was bursting at the seams and had to tell someone about what was going on inside his head because he didn’t think he would be able to hold it in much longer.
All he knew was Clay better keep his mouth shut if he told him.
“What I’m about to tell you, you CANNOT repeat.”
“Okay? I mean what did you do? It can’t be that bad. Get Y/N pregnant?”
Silence.
“JACK! YOU GOT HER PREGNANT? I WAS JOKING.”
“Keep your voice down! And we don’t know for sure yet!”
“It is literally only the two of us in the car. Who is listening? And besides Is that where you went this morning at three am?”
“You nosey as all hell. What were you doing up anyway?”
“I got thirsty and went to get some water.” Clay replied while shrugging.
“This stays between us. Do not repeat what I just told you.”
“Secret is safe with me. Besides, mom and dad are going to kill you if she really is.”
Jack scoffed before leaning his head onto the steering wheel.
“And don’t I know it?”
---
The final bell had rang and Jack was just about ready to trample over anyone who got in his way.
He needed to hurry up and get to the drugstore before you had another panic attack.
You already had three so far today since you had told him every single time that it happened.
Urban noticed that his best friend had been acting strange all day and decided that it was now time to confront him. Clay mentioned that he would take the bus home and Jack didn’t have to worry about waiting for him knowing the situation that he was in.
Thank goodness because that would have only made his anxiety increase having to be away from you for an even longer period of time.
Urban slid into the passenger seat and simply stared at Jack.
“What? Why are you looking at me like that?”
“What the hell is going on with you today? And where is Y/N? I sent her a text but she didn’t say anything which is weird.”
You always answered every single time Urban had sent you a text. It had become a little more frequent this week since he knew that you hadn’t been feeling all that well and he wanted to check on you.
Jack thought you didn’t answer him probably because you were wracking your brain to try and come up with a plan on being a teenage mother.
“Urb... I did a thing...”
“A bad thing?”
“Well, no. But, yes. It’s bad considering how old we are but overall it’s not really a bad...”
“Will you just come out with it?”
“I think Y/N is pregnant.”
“Oh....”
“Oh, what do you mean oh?”
“Oh, meaning that your dumbass didn’t use a condom?! I know she’s pretty but damn!”
Jack remained silent as he turned away from Urban.
“What the hell is wrong with you?”
“My pullout game is usually A1.”
“But this time it wasn’t!”
“We don’t know that for sure.”
“Well, did she get her period?”
“About that....”
“Your dumbass is in for it now. Maggie and Brian are about to light your ass up. But, I’ll be the godfather, right? I mean that is probably the only bright side in all of this.”
“Is that really all your concerned about right now?!”
Luckily your parents were still at work when Jack and Urban knocked on the door. You opened it and was eyeing Urban not knowing how much he knew.
“I’m taking my position of godfather early. So, yes I know and yes we have a test to confirm.” Urban stated as both he and Jack walked through the threshold and into the foyer as he handed you the bag.
“A test? A test? In meaning one?!”
“Yes, one. Is there something I’m missing?”
"Why did you only buy one test!?!? We need at least three to be sure!"
"Stink, chill out. I'll be back."
“No, you stay with her. I’ll go get two more.”
Jack handed Urban his keys while you started to make your way up the steps into your room. Jack followed you in complete silence.
You both sat on your bed and the waterworks that had been threatening to fall finally made their appearance.
You were surprised that you had kept it together for so long.
The dam finally broke and you couldn’t do anything to stop it.
Jack simply pulled you onto his lap and tried to comfort you the best way he could.
“Hey, mamas. It’s going to be okay. Whatever happens we’ll get through it.”
“I’ve ruined your career!”
“Baby, stop. You haven’t ruined anything. This is just more motivation for me to really do this and make it happen.”
“And we’re not married! My parents will kill me! Children born out of wedlock?! THEY’LL DISOWN ME.”
“Baby, we are literally not old enough to get married. And knowing your parents I think they’ll be mad but they won’t disown you.”
“In some states the legal age is 16!”
“Okay, let’s relax for a second. And that... is entirely too young and should be illegal everywhere.”
“I need to throw up.”
“Wait, now?”
“Yes, now Jackman! Move before I get it on you!”
You were happy that you had a bathroom all to yourself that was connected to your room and hoped no one would suddenly decide to come home early from work and ask what the three of you were doing.
You had taken all three of the tests and everyone was now patiently waiting for the results. The timer had been set on your phone as the three of you tried to find something to do in order to occupy your time.
Then you heard the alarm.
"Stink, go look because I'm too nervous." You whispered and looked over at Jack who had eyes as big as saucers.
"And I’m not?!"
"Fine, I'll look! Sooner we get this over with, the better." Urban replied while getting up and making his way into the bathroom.
He was quiet for a few seconds which made your anxiety skyrocket if it was even possible at this point.
You needed a blunt.
“Urb?!?”
He calmly walked out of the bathroom with a smile on his face before revealing if the news was good or bad.
“Not pregnant. All three.”
You and Jack breathed a sigh of relief that you didn’t realize either of you had been holding.
“Thank God I don’t have to push out a head as big as yours.”
“Hey!”
“She’s not lying bro. Your head is kinda big.”
“Fuck both of yall.”
“Well you two have been doing a lot of that as of lately which resulted in the situation that happened today, so I’ll pass.”
“But, if you aren’t pregnant, what’s wrong with you then?”
“No idea. I just have to ask my mom to take me to the doctor when she gets home I guess.”
“Okay now that the panic is over, we have songs to write.”
Later on that night, Jack sent a text to check on you and see how you were feeling. Despite finding out that you weren’t pregnant, he was still worried because he didn’t know what was wrong with you.
Jack- Baby girl, do you feel any better? Need me to bring you anything?
You- Yes now that I know I’m not pregnant
Jack- Did your mom take you to urgent care?
You- Yep and she was PISSED
Jack- Wait, what? Why?
You- I just had PMS. Symptoms usually show 5 to 10 days before it actually shows up.
Jack- Wait a minute... so this entire time?
You- I got my period an hour ago. Can you bring me gummy bears, chocolate, and some Doritos? I love you, stink.
