So, I disappeared for a LONG time there. The reason why? I quit drinking, and quit smoking cigarettes. They say you put down the bottle and pick up the fork. And holy f*ck, is it true. So, I got really derailed. But I’m right around the weight I was when I left. So. Here we go again.
Also, I tried to get into an out-patient program, and they f*cked up my appointment TWICE. Then they just never called again. So yeah. My BED took over, but now I’m back in edtt stage I suppose. So here we go. I’m on day 9 of a fast, but I’m taking my electrolytes, drinking water, walking a little, and super determined and focused.
August 22nd: This happened after (TW HERE) my partner brought home a slice of cookies and cream cheesecake for me from his work, and I opened it up, grabbed a fork and was walking to the table. My entire brain just switched straight back into -- “Uh, no.” So now, here I am. I’ll check in more frequently if I can manage.
This morning, I decided not to weigh myself, against my worse judgement. If you’re a person like me that that’s twinges of sadness from seeing weight fluctuations, coming back from a four-day vacation of disordered eating is not going to help your self esteem by throwing yourself into disappointment by numbers.
I started IF last year in a 16:8, moving into a 20:4. Last 12+ weeks have been successful weekday OMADs and the schedule over the last month has been Mon/Wed/Fri fasting, Tues/Thu OMAD and weekend 16:8 with decent results.
IF only stops working when you stop working it. It’s a total life overhaul of eating habits and not a quick diet fix. It works well when it works and the last year has been a learning curve of what’s worked best for me and nothing if enlightening challenges towards the goal of control my eating habits and getting to a healthy weight.
So, Saturday morning will serve as my new start weight for this acountability Tumblr. Just posting my shit, getting down what’s going down. If you gather anything from it, that’s rad. Today’s plan: recovery IF into a 36 hour fast tomorrow of coffee/water/tea.
