"Innerworlds are only visualization exercises and not real places!" WRONG! Innerworlds are sure representations, but they're much similar to dreams and constructions of trauma/repressed memories and what the system needs.
They are not always voluntary constructs, nor is it easy to "change" what happens within innerworld. Someone with a stronger imagination may find it easy visualize such large scale places, but they can appear randomly and in reference to alters and trauma.
They are not an exercise because not every system consciously makes it. They just happen to exist in order to house parts that don't front or need to step back from front.
They are often very real to the brain due to the nature of systems. If alters look a certain way in innerworld or have memories related to innerworld, then innerworlds are as real as that aspect of systems.
So don't assume everyone just "made it up", it's just another aspect of a lot of people's systemhood.

So we've always used Earth years to denote the ages of people in our system. But a lot of the time, that's still really an approximation and I'm not talking about mental age. I mean more like, how do you state the age of someone who spends a good deal of time using portals that take you somewhere and you stay there for however long then you come back through the same portal and return a moment after you left? Or in some cases, before you left?
How do you estimate age when you're talking about a person native to a planet where the years are longer than Earth's? And with time flowing faster on that planet than on Earth, how do you handle it when someone goes back and forth between Earth and that other planet?
Makes me glad our innerworld and the outerworld are more or less connected, timewise. We can stretch it a little - connect with Jas in the innerworld but she's busy so we try again a moment later outerworld time and hours later innerworld time. And sometimes we check in and it's been a few days since we've checked and they're still watching the same movie/doing the same thing they were last time we checked. This goes the other way too - sometimes they'll check in on us and it'll be a bad time and so they check back in a few hours later for us and only a moment later for them. Per tests, the most we can stretch this out in either direction is about a couple Earth months of experienced time, local to the Earth time of the main universe of the paracosm.
And there's one further wrinkle in all of this, relating specifically to portals. When you go through a portal, your body is broken down inside and reformed as you leave based on the pattern of it that exists in the Void. This normally isn't an issue - if you stick to your own universe. Which Jas doesn't, nor does Doc. (Though Doc we don't even try to estimate his age.) When you leave your home universe, a copy of your pattern is placed in the Void of the universe you go to. You use that when you teleport in that universe. But when you come back, you get reformed based on the pattern of you when you left. So if you go and spend months in another universe, as Jas did a lot growing up, you come back into a body that hasn't aged at all. But you still, heart and mind and soul, have the lived experience of being that other age.
Kinda like Narnia - the Pevensies grew up into adults in Narnia before coming back to Earth as children again.
So some of our ages are more just educated guesses than anything else lol.
Kinda makes me glad that at least for me, my inner age is basically just "I feel younger than the body. By how much varies."

Didn’t realize how many members had houseplants or plants in general in their personal spaces until we started making them in Sims 4 as visuals for others and for our own shared records.

does anyone else refer to their headspace kind of like an alter? for instance alot of times we'll say stuff like
"oh headspace doesn't want you to know that"
"headspace won't let me say it"

Thoughts on Innerworlds:
They’re not physical locations that system members actually live & walk around in, but the brain may make them perceive it that way.
When we front, we can “remember” what happened in our innerworld while we were there. Since we share a brain, we all have the same “storyline” there, which has created consistent “memories” from within our innerworld over the years.
We’ve had things happen there that have helped us process & recover from things that happened in the outerworld. (It’s why it’s used as a therapeutic technique.)
There’s a fine line with it. It’s possible to rely too heavily on the innerworld to escape the stress of this life, which, for many CDD systems, was the only way they could survive. Once it’s safe to do so, it is important to draw up a healthy distinction between innerworld reality and physical reality. But, on the other hand, entirely denying the legitimacy of innerworld events can greatly hinder healing.
Oftentimes, innerworld happenings are metaphorical. They occur because there’s something the brain/system needs to work through. For example, a “physical fight” occurring within the innerworld may represent clashing morals between two system members, and signify that the misalignment needs to be addressed.
So, are innerworlds “real”? Maybe not in the way the walls of my house are, but it’s real in that it’s a significant part of how my brain functions. To deny that reality entirely is to deny the very thoughts in my head, simply because I can’t touch them & other’s can’t see them.

innerworld request
a house in the forest. kid's bedroom is for two syskids, any childish green aesthetic idm. one adult bedroom with a cozy neutrals and like a forest elf vibe. another adult bedroom with pinks and whites, very pastel, very girly. if you could also describe a sitting room / living room for all four to sit and talk and exist together that'd be lovely
other : no technology please, i'd like if the forest location was incorporated into every room to a degree.
this is such a lovely thing for you to do for systems with aphantasia. i hope i understood how to request correctly
here u are anon !! tried my best 💜 all photos were found on pinterest, and i tried to use the most vivid language i could !
The Cabin
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
-> The first thing one notice is the cool breeze running over one's skin, the soft grass beneath one's feet. The house is small and wooden, porch and railing rough and unfinished, but one never seems to get splinters running one's hands and feet over them.
-> The smell of fresh air is comforting and welcome, petrichor and light fog like a blanket over the landscape.
-> The home is located within a small clearing, but is otherwise surrounded by trees so thickly one could not navigate it on one's own.
The Kids' Room
Tumblr media Tumblr media
-> The room, upon opening the door, has a warmth to it. There are two beds with soft bedding and plenty of pillows, and each has a unique stuffed toy of the childrens' favorite animals. Between the two beds sits a wooden night table with a pair of thick green candles and a book of children's fairytales. The floor is hardwood.
-> Across from the bed, nestled beneath the window, is a bookshelf with small wooden and plush toys and children's books. Atop the highest shelf sits a small picture frame with the home's inhabitants, similar to a family photo. Flowers and leaves are starting to sprout through small gaps in the windowframe. Beside the bookshelf is a small wooden dresser. It looks handmade, with smooth, round knobs and four drawers- two for each child.
-> There is a smell of something sweet in the air; looking below one of the beds reveals a squirreled away stash of candy and pastries wrapped in plastic to keep ants away.
The Primary Bedroom
Tumblr media Tumblr media
-> The door to this room creaks as it opens, and the floor is covered with a soft rug. The room is a bit colder than the others, and smells of a scented candle with a woodsy smell; pine and cinnamon, or something similar. The bed has an extra throw blanket.
-> The bed is pressed against the wall beneath the window, and atop the windowsill sits several plants. Ivy hangs from the ceiling. Beside the bed is a work desk, with a compact typewriter and several books, holding memories and/or important system information. There is also a bookshelf of more important information above the headboard of the bed.
-> The window rattles a bit when the wind picks up, and atop the desk sits a set of earplugs beside a few candles, a pen, and a couple mechanical pencils.
The Secondary Bedroom
Tumblr media Tumblr media
-> When the door opens, the first thing one notices is that this room is much brighter than the others; candles are everywhere, filling the room with light and warmth, and the curtains over the windows are thin, allowing more light in. The floor is wooden, as the rest of the house, and a pair of fluffy slippers sit on the floor beside the bed.
-> The bed is strewn with flowers, permeating the air with their scent, and ivy grows up the walls. On the wall beside the bed is a vanity that doubles as a work desk and a soft pink stool.
-> This room, too, has a wardrobe at the foot of the bed; handmade, painted a matte white with pink accents and shell-shaped handles to open it.
The Living Room
Tumblr media
-> The room is warm with the ever-present fire in the fireplace, and smells of burnt wood. The coffee table is a thick slice of tree stump with moss, candles, and thin coasters. It smells like baked goods.
-> The two couches are soft with lots of pillows, and each has a thick, fluffy throw blanket. At the corner of the two, there is a small coffee table with a mug, coaster, and a book of system memories.
-> There is a group of toys and plushes on the floor in a circle, with a tea set and small plate of cookies in the middle.

Don't let them think/say I don't do anything productive. Made each of our rooms with what we had in the Sims - I need to get some more packs, but they turned out fairly well, I'm pleased with them.
[Orion (top left), Celeste (middle top)l, Atlas (top right), Cosmo (middle left), Raven (middle right), Jupiter (third row alone)Eris (bottom left), and the main room with mouse's botanical garden(bottom right)]

New Year New Me!
But in reality this month of the first year was just terrible deteriorating health and a fun game of "Let's explore new places of our huge and complex Inner world, and their headmates, you thought you knew all of"
But it's halfway Oki, cause our stuffies are cute and our host is both cute and super kind
