#Introject Issues

Ugh. I really, really hate the way our system works sometimes, because it leaves me (and the majority of us honestly) so fucking lonely. We don't seem to have an inner world, which makes it nearly impossible to have any close relationship with headmates. To our knowledge almost all of us are OC introjects, and only a tiny few have in-system sourcemates (Hazbin Hotel and DC). I miss my source friends and family so so much, but even if I met a sourcemate from another system, they wouldn't have a clue who I am because I don't exist in the actual show. I keep seeing posts by people I miss so badly looking for sourcemates, and I want to reach out. I want them in my life again. But I don't because I can't handle the rejection of them not caring about me because I didn't exist in their source. It just fucking sucks.

Splitting on a Favourite Person feels like grief personified.

Even when they claim they love you, the reality of the situation is that you are too much for them, and they can never provide you with what you actually need to survive.

So when they say, or do, the wrong thing, it feels like fucking betrayal, abandonment, an admission of your failures as human being.

And every time they fall from grace, I pick them back up, to place on that throne.

But I cannot keep doing this.

It is fucking killing me, and I know I will still be writhing in agony when they leave.

Hey can we like leave Fictionkin, Fictives or Irls of problematic media alone

It is not an excuse to harass fictives or irls or fictionkin from anything the creator is making or has made, they cannot control their source or media. Just because our media has problematic creator make doesn't make us a bad person. An author's actions towards others doesn't define who we are. Leave us the fuck alone. Stop sending us death threats. Stop forcing names onto us. Fuck the creator. We are our own people with our own lives and we are not defined by how they wrote our kintypes to be.

Having fictives is so weird sometimes. Our little sibling is playing Minecraft and put on a weird Shadow skin and kept saying goofy/mildly incoherent stuff about him (this kid's absolutely AuDHD like we are), well of course Shads gets front triggered by that and I had to mentally restrain him from telling off this 9 year old for disrespect 😭

Going from being the guy helplessly in love with his very aroace best friend (it's SO embarrassing. He KNEW too. Passive insight 22 literally fuck me. And that was passive. PASSIVE.) to BEING the aroace friend who is very aware that someone has a thing for them and just being like "Ah. I'm going to never address this and just hope you never make the choice to tell me. The whole thing with source separation is wild because from our perspective it came out of nowhere. Then all of a sudden you have people saying "fictives aren't their source" or "source separation is important" like they're universal truths. As with the community went from "don't treat fictives like fictional characters" and just took it several steps to the extreme.

Also the whole thing of assuming "fictive = introject". It started with soulbonds, who as a group doesn't really have much "source separation". Plus the fact that source wasn't even a system term, it's a fictionkin term that got shared with the plural community.

I guess the same thing happened with "system accountability" where the whole community latched onto a buzzword and started treating it like a universal set of rules every system much follow.

Some of it feels to me too like the "actually identifying as a fictional character is crazy" bit with anti-kin and kff, or "if you identify as a fictional character that's a delusion/a DA/IRL".

Current mood is wanting to deep dive in source lore and then write what would be an entire book chronicling the events of my life and a sourcemate of mine

Current thoughts are it's weird being an alter not based on a character, but based on the potential of a character to exist- being set to the laws of a fictional universe but never actually having been based of a particular figure in that media. But you also weren't ever really an oc? Your brain just... concocted you. And your sourcemate. Who also is in the same sort of situation.

as a system with a lot of inteojects, i wish people stopped judging us so quickly based on all introjects. some arent as canon as they think, and any thatre "cringe" in nature are maybe not here by choice. newsflash, assholes!! sometimes introjects just, introject themselves!!!! we didnt ASK to have some sources, but theyre here so suck it up!!!!!

This is ur daily reminder fictives are not their source you may know the character Dallas Winston but you don’t know our Dallas fictive, or us in general it might be cool to see something by a fictive of a character you like however questions like this make us and lots of other systems uncomfortable
