Hahaha, god, yes. I feel like Allie would be so deeply entrenched in compulsory heterosexuality in that "it does not even occur to her that this thing she has with Vee might be gay" kind of way, and meanwhile Vee is just suffering acutely every time Allie acts like they are basically married. It's gonna turn into some "oh, you've never had sex? Let's practice" kind of shit before Allie catches a clue.

Meanwhile Vee is the "married for ten years but 'are you sure she really likes me?'" lesbian except the anxiety is actually 100% validated (and directly caused by) by Allie's...everything.

Not really, because I’m an only child and my mother is very happy with me. Plus, I was lucky enough to win the genetic lottery and I’m quite pretty and conventionally attractive, so no issues there. I mean, I bet my mom prefers how I turned out over being a pick-me girl desperate for male validation who ends up married and pregnant before 25. But thanks for trying—maybe next time go for someone with parental issues or low self-esteem, that might work. As for me, I’m a bit too narcissistic in that regard, sorry. Hazards of being an only child and getting too much attention growing up—we tend to become a bit insufferable.

wild theory on the disembowelment biz. i bet 100% it’s gonna be beeface. her obsession with reptiles is the main reason i am connecting her with this, and here’s my connections:

- beeface caught a rattlesnake in the first issue. not that big of an impact so far, but it represents death in a sense

- beeface showing the apprentices lizard movement, which is in a slither motion

- after rainhaze kills ferric, he describes her intestines “‘snaking’ around his claws”

- imo, ferric looks more similar to beeface than redpelt, but it’s just my own interpretation

- it’s likely she’ll approach rain when he comes back, i feel like slug and the others will be stunned and she’s gonna be more emotional (like a “why tf did you leave and join this group you bastard” kinda way)

- it can serve as plumstripe suffering twice, though i’m not sure how she’s gonna play into this

i just wanted to throw that out there
