Umbrellas uwu
I tried to reply to some people who were all "uwu getting umbrellas after 5 years shows that Houses >>> Engage uwu" but the main sub is... well, still the main sub.
I thought there was some rule some time ago that sort of banned the "engage shit fodlan good" posts? Maybe it doesn't extent to comments ?
Anyways, I stand by what I earlier said, I'm perfectly happy waiting 24-26 days to get an artbook with interviews and special illustrations than to get an umbrella or towels. Because, hey, when I played the game, I enjoyed its worldbuilding and characters and I would like to get more of that, and not, y'know, an umbrella.
I mean, I could buy a jigglypuff umbrella, but for a jrpg/srpg/trpg/whatever FE is, when I want to buy goodies, I want to buy stuff relating/related to the game and not, just, a spoon where the word "judgral" is engraved.
At this point I'm starting to believe Fodlan became a brand : you like the concept of "Fodlan" but don't like a particular character, or the setting, or the world, or anything else.
#anon#replies#maybe it's because I'm getting too old#or am too old?#back in my days goodies were the cheap plastic crap you could buy at conventions or figurines#or mangas or doujinshis or artbooks like the Treasure book from Jugdral#with dev notes about the world and info about the heights of characters and all#light novels and all#would I have bought a spoon with Thracia 776 engraved ? Nah#but light novels in japanese with 5 pretty illustrations? You can bet i did#but in a nutshell#to each their own#if some people really like those new kind of goodies then good for them#it's not for me and while I can see their appeal#to me it's not what I would call merchandise from the game or a traditional goodies#it's more in the lines of the uniqlo crossovers for shirts and sweatshirts#I saw a jigglypuff backpack recently but it was obviously sized for preschoolers so I wouldn't have any utility for it#I'd totes have bothered my parents to get one if I was still one though lol

honey's it girl magazine november edition⋆.ೃ࿔*:・🎀
welcome back to honeys it girl magazine, this is the november catalog. get ready for the inside scoop on data that i've collected, things i've learned/started doing, and just general info like that organized in kind of a teen-magazine inspired fashion.
before we go any further i'd love to thank you all for the wonderful year we've had of it girls magazine, writing every catalog is SUCH a joy and im glad that u guys like it to. i'll continue to work on the magazine and make it more enjoyable for u all. i hope that as the magazine grows and evolves i'll have more lovely girlbloggers featured in my catalogs. this is THEE magazine for it girls ✨ and now please enjoy, the it girl magazine.
THE HISTORY OF HELLO KITTY ;
hello kitty was born in the suburbs of london. she lives with her parents and her twin sister mimmy who is her bff. her hobbies include baking cookies and making new friends. as she always says, “you can never have too many friends”. but what else is there to know about this 3 apples tall ray of sunshine? SOOO much actually which is why i decided to write about hello kitty’s history.
hello kitty was created by the japanese company sanrio in 1974. she was initially designed by yuko shimizu. hello kitty quickly became emblematic of the cute culture in japan and a global symbol of nostalgia and girliness. hello kitty’s representation of girliness played such an important role in defining and popularizing kawaii culture in japan. hello kitty became a subtle statement of empowerment in the 1970s and 80’s.
the average apple is 3 inches tall. take your height in inches and divide it by three to find out how many apples tall you are! im 21 apples tall…💬🎀
during the 70's and 80's expectations for women were shifting, and with this context hello kitty emerged not only as an adorable kitty but as an emblem of a new type of femininity—one that embraced softness and strength simultaneously. hello kitty is associated with things like happiness and joy. in the 21st century, hello kitty’s presence in pop culture exploded.
a lot of celebrities are seen with hello kitty items, hello kitty collaborated with high-fashion brands, artists etc. they all appreciated her mix of innocence and global acclaim. and i think that the fact that shes maintained her grip on society even now says so much! hello kitty just RESONATES.
and honestly, hello kitty's longevity is a testament to her universal appeal. over the decades, hello kitty has gone from being just a character to becoming a pop culture icon that resonates with people of all ages and regions of the world. whether it’s a child picking out their first hello kitty backpack or an adult rocking a limited-edition hello kitty x gucci collection, she bridges generations with her timeless charm 💖
the success of hello kitty has a lot to do with her straightforward yet unmistakably unique design. her iconic bow, the lack of a mouth—on purpose, so that she can "speak from the heart"—and her endless versatility only cement hello kitty as an open canvas for self-expression. she’s playful, she’s nostalgic, she’s even edgy, depending on how she’s styled or reimagined.
hello kitty became a symbol of softness and femininity because she showed that being gentle and kind could still be powerful. when she was created in the 70s, women were stepping into new roles, and hello kitty stood for a new kind of strength—which wasn’t about being loud or aggressive but about connection, joy, and kindness.
SELF GRATITUDE. YOU'RE SO AMAZING ;
gratitude is a feeling thats really emphasized during november and i think that we should always be most grateful to ourselves! no one puts as much effort or loves u as much as u do. so lets take some time to appreciate ourselves and everything that we've done for ourselves as 2024 comes to an end.
take a moment to recognize everything that you've achieved this year, challenges that you've overcome and things that you've done for yourself this year to create a better more glamorous life for yourself. dont forget to say thank you and celebrate yourself cuz ur literally so cute and amazing and capable 💕
some ways that u can celebrate yourself and show gratitude towards yourself include…💬🎀
♡ pamper yourself with a spa day ♡ book that appointment you wanted ♡ write a love letter to yourself ♡ buy yourself a bouquet of flowers
PREPPING FOR A SUCCESSFUL YEAR ;
2025 is right around the corner so we should prepare and set ourselves up for success in this new year. so to start off prep for the next year we should make a MANIFESTATION list. title the list "2025" and write down everything that u want to manifest that year in a list fashion.
an important aspect of setting urself up for success in the new year is to reflect on the year we just had. reflect on your year so that u can see what u accomplished this year/what u can do better in the next year…💬🎀
i break up my year into 4 quarters (each lasting 3 months) that way i can see my year broken up and i have a clear plan and i can be organized. quarter one (january - march) quarter two (april - june) so on and so forth. and after every quarter i do a little analysis. and finally wrap up some things projects, assignments and things of that nature so that u can go into the next year on a clean slate.
WHAT THE IT GIRLS ARE LISTENING TO ;
first im gonna start off by talking about txt's new album SANCTUARY cuz if u guys didn't know im a moa 🙈. i LOVED everything about this album, the concept EVERYTHING. my favorite song on the album is 41 winks and over the moon is also incredible, i loved all the songs!! literally u cant name one bad song txts ever released cuz it doesnt fucking exist their discography is perfect. 10/10. i highly recommend giving it a listen if u have not.
tyla also released push to start and the music video is just a work of ART. tyla has been consistently giving us hit after hit, shes so incredibly talented and i LOVE push to start. i love the choreography also, but something that i love the MOST about this music video is the fashion like HELLO?? tyla rocked tiny tops and big boots in this music video and im lowkey living for it. the fringes in her tiny top in the opening scene, her teensy denim shorts that she leaves unbuttoned to show off her blinged out panties like YES.
THE ADVICE COLUMN ;
Hi! Question for the advice column. I'm going on a trip for my birthday to a retreat, with a group of 10 friends in a couple of weeks. It's only 3 days but I am so excited. I am in a part of the world where it's summer right now, so my question is: what are your essentials for a summer trip? Swimming gear, accessories, skincare etc, I'm planning all my outfits in advance, so any advice is appreciated. Thank you! 𐙚˙⋆.˚ ᡣ𐭩
❤︎ SPF (between 30-50)
❤︎ lacy/frilly bikinis and swimsuits. they make u look like an absolute beach doll 🍬✨
❤︎ a yummy body butter + body shimmer (during the summer, we show lots of skin so its important to stay moisturized like a glazed doughnut and also to sparkle like the star u are)
❤︎ as for clothing i typically opt for tube tops, mini skirts, sundresses and things of that nature. i LOVE summer fashion
❤︎ blinged out water tumbler for fashionable hydration 💦 and ofc a portable mini fan
Do you know how to make yourself look more exotic/tropical in appearance? Like I want to look like a tropical mermaid - cotton candy doll
❤︎ use a bit of shimmery bronzer on ur cheekbones and collarbones to achieve that glowy sun kissed look
❤︎ when i think of cotton candy key west kitten doll i think of BEACHY WAVES and bubblegum pink lips so braiding ur hair overnight can help you to achieve beachy waves in the morning, and invest in a bubble gum pink/glossy coral colored lipgloss (i recommend candy baby 🍭 from victorias secret)
❤︎ use fragrances with notes of fruit and coconut
NOVEMBER TRENDS ;
one of my favorite trends this november is the women in male dominated fields trend. its been all over my tiktok and essentially the trend is just women behaving the way many men of today behave towards women and giving them a taste of their own toxic medicine.
this trend reminds me a lot of ciara's song "like a boy". some of my FAVORITE moments from this trend are as follows…💬🎀
♡ when hes pouring his heart out in front of me and i start practicing my jumpshot mid-argument
♡ when hes got tears running down his face explaining to me why my actions hurt him but i just ask him "why are u with me then" and carry on with my day
♡ when he catches me in a lie but i just hit him with the "alright believe what u want"
this trend puts into perspective the toxic and dismissive behaviors that are becoming more and more common and that are normalized in relationships, now that the roles are reversed. it also serves as a reminder of how important mutual respect and empathy are in any relationship.

You know, I get how Surge being a cyborg hives her lightning powers, but what kind of machines give kit hydrokinesis. How the fuck does that work
So the water doesn't actually come from inside Kit, like Surge's lightning does? It's in his backpack, and there's a finite supply. He needs to keep it filled regularly, or he'll just plain run out. The water takes the shape of numerous tails, referencing the Kitsune from Japanese mythology, which also inspired Tails. He calls them "hydro-coil tails."

They're stable enough to hold and carry things, and he seems to be able to manipulate them with a lot of precise control. Tails was notably impressed.

Exactly how he manipulates the water isn't clear, but we know he can freeze it, and he has control over any water in the area, which makes him OP if the arena happens to be flooded, like in issue 56.

Also turning off his pack seems to make him go unconscious?? So it's probably hard wired into his nervous system somehow. Starline was a crazy asshole.

Again, exactly how he manipulates the water isn't clear, but given the way the pack seems to be hooked into his brain, it's probably some sort of mental ability? The Sonic universe has multiple characters with psychic abilities, maybe Starline happened to find a candidate with the right potential and enhanced it with cybernetics? Who knows.

currently workshopping some wandering healer characters, would you happen to know any east asian clothes that would be something an apothecary/healer would wear? genuinely wondering if theres a straight up medic uniform ala plague doctors or nurse uniforms in historical asia... also side thing do you know if theres a name for that case/medicine cabinet ginko mushishi and the kusuriuri and other characters from japanese media haul on their backs and keep various medicines in?
After looking at some historical paintings and recreations of Chinese and Korean healers, their clothes don't appear too different from the clothing of other commoners from their respective time periods. However, they tend to be depicted wearing lighter colors: White, beige or a faded blue/green/grey are common. I imagine it's for the same reason that modern doctors tend to favor light colors; wearing soft colors makes it easier to identify any fluids coming out of the patient and a stain-free robe probably assures the patient that the doctor runs a hygienic practice.
Bian Que (扁鵲): 407 – 310 BCE
Huo Tua (華佗): 140–208
Sun Simiao (孫思邈): 581-682
Li Shizhen (李時珍): 1518 - 1593
First Picture: Illustration of a Chinese doctor checking a wealthy woman's pulse from 1915
Second Picture: Illustration of a Korean acupuncturist (19th century)
Displays from the Yangnyeongsi Museum of Oriental Medicine in Daegu, Korea.
As for the portable medicine cabinet with straps, the official Mushishi artbook calls it a shoiko (背負子). However, shoiko refers more to the backpack aspect and not the cabinet itself. That's called a kusuri-tansu (薬箪笥), meaning "apothecary cabinet".

64 Dreams: A Look at Harvest Moon 64's Japanese Pre-Release Coverage
Fresh off the releases of the original Bokujou Monogatari in '96 and the GameBoy demake in '97, the series was starting to make a bit of a name for itself by 1998. The popularity of the GameBoy port in particular, partially credited by Yasuhiro Wada to the revived interest of the GameBoy as a platform thanks to Pokémon, led to some amount of anticipation for the follow-up.
At that time, a Japanese gaming magazine called The 64Dream, which was later renamed Nintendo Dream, was aimed exclusively at Nintendo 64 owners to give them the latest in information on upcoming and currently available games. Several issues over the course of a year would feature updates and information on Bokujou Monogatari 2. It would be a lot of work to translate everything, though we still might go over the really interesting bits some day, but, for now, we'll go over a brief summary of each issue's coverage up until release.
October, 1998

To start off the coverage of Bokumono 2, Yasuhiro Wada, Setsuko Miyakoshi, and Tomomi Yamatate are participating in a Q&A with the magazine's staff and introducing elements that are new from the SNES game like the camera, backpack, automatically leveling up tools, sheep, etc. Things to do during Winter are also referenced, like mining and the event to help out with Green Ranch, as well as it being a highly requested feature to continue playing after the ending. It also references the Goddess Fountain being the one from the previous game, which I hadn't really considered but if you think about the general layout of both maps it makes sense. The heart level system is also revealed to have a name the development staff used, the "Bakubaku system," which was implemented because sneaking a peek at their diaries wasn't the best thing to do. Since it's referencing a heartbeat, I guess if they localized that name it'd be something like "ba-dump system"?
There's a few tidbits that are completely different from the final game, like being able to carry bugs in your backpack, as well as an affection system for wild animals. Neither are in the release version, with wild animals being able to just be picked up freely without befriending them, and neither bugs or animals being willing to be stuffed into your bag. The calendar of festivals and other notable events is also a bit different, with no races or swimming events present at all, along with the Spirit Festival being on the 29th instead of the 27th.
There's also few interesting details among the artwork, like Harris being blonde and the baby's outfit being brown instead of blue. The artwork of the girls is also distinct here, with most of them not being featured in any other promotional material or guidebooks. Ran and Marie's artwork appeared in the 15th anniversary art book, but Karen, Popuri, and Elly were oddly absent. Rare stuff.
November, 1998

This month, the magazine's editors are getting to play for the first time. Most of the article is just them experiencing stuff that's new after the SNES game firsthand. Things like rotating the camera, having a bag, carrying multiple tools, tools leveling up with use, things like that. Oddly, Karen doesn't seem to appear in the demo, though the vineyard and other characters do. The article ends with some fan art of Karen and Pete at the vineyard. There's also some fan art of all the girls in the fan art section.
There isn't a lot here that's different from the final game this month, but there is a screenshot of the library with a completely different layout from the final game.
December, 1998

Wow, right off the bat there's lots of little art differences here. Mayor Thomas is blonde, Marie has blue hair like her grandma, and so does Kent! Though with that light of a shade, maybe Kent's is supposed to look shaved. The artwork for the town's map is also a little off, featuring a layout that's not present in the final game, and a few details that would go missing as well, like a tree outside the bakery. Of course, several new elements would be in the final game that are also missing from this artwork, like shop signs. I also appreciate all the little figures of characters wandering around the map.
The text doesn't look like anything new or distinct, but it does mention that there's now a racetrack. Horse races weren't mentioned at all in previous months, so maybe this was a late addition they finally felt safe confirming. It also mentions Duke being Jeff's uncle, which is something I tend to forget is mentioned in-game, as well as Doga's appearance being compared to Yoda, and... I can see it.
There's also a featured fan art this month at the end of the article featuring Ran and Pete sitting together. In the magazine's fan-art dedicated page, there's artwork of Popuri and Elly, too! Not to mention plenty of non-Bokumono fan art featuring characters from Wonder Project J2, Pokémon, and Ocarina of Time.
January, 1999

The article this month opens with lamenting that the game didn't release in December and will be delayed until February. Since we're pretty close to release now, it doesn't look like there's too many differences from the final game at this point. Of note, however, is that the animals all seem 500-1000 G cheaper. I guess they were still adjusting game balance. The crops listing doesn't include strawberries either, and a note that the seed prices might be different in the released game, but those are all correct.
The fan art this month is Pete with a bunch of farm animals, including a pig! I guess they'll have to wait until GBC3 and Magical Melody for that though. There's also a small figure on the left side, maybe holding a paintbrush? An artist's self-portrait, maybe?
February, 1999

Finally, it's release month! The game has been consistently voted one of the most anticipated titles by readers, and Yasuhiro Wada is here to answer their questions.
The first interesting question is about the Nintendo 64 Transfer Pak, which Wada says wasn't possible to implement transferring cows and such due to technical reasons and the N64 game's development coming later. However, if the game was popular enough to release a Bokujou Monogatari 3 on the N64, he'd like to implement GameBoy gimmicks. Next, he's asked about the baby, and mentions that it will have different reactions based on where you take it, and that it will gradually change with level of affection. When asked about improving crop varieties, Wada replies that it's a secret. Maybe referencing the unlocking of Strawberries after getting a greenhouse? The page ends with a variety of fan art.
On the next page, a fan asks if there are multiple endings. Wada responds that there's really only one, but there's a ranking system in place. He also mentions that you can transfer your save to a Controller Pak and take it to a friend's house and compare your rankings with them, which is something North American fans missed out on when the rankings page feature was removed, along with several other things. Next is a question about catching and keeping bugs, which contrary to the mention in the October '98 issue, he says that leaving them in nature is for the best. The last question on the page asks about the girls from the original game appearing, which Wada says a few do in some way, and you should try to find out. Also that the same Harvest Sprites return. There's also artwork of all the 64 girls in cute winter outfits!
The last page is just basic gameplay questions, like how much money you start with and how to sheer sheep, with Wada going on to mention that taking care of animals is important and that there's a funeral scene for them now. The page closes again with more fan art.
More interestingly, the little boxed area on pages 22 and 23 features "requests" and general comments from fans. For page 22, the first of which is for co-op, which Wada says was an idea he also had, but to please bear with it as it wasn't possible, and there is a lot of content for one player in the game. Next, he's asked for the animals to make noises and have footstep sounds, which he says they do make animal sounds (mooing, clucking, etc) now, but don't have footstep sounds. Then he's asked about implementing a motorcycle or truck! Wada emphatically responds that nature is best.
Page 23's requests start with being able to freely design the house, which Wada also wants to do, but there are at least more extensions this time. Next, a player wants the hot springs to return, which Wada says might appear in this game as the player progresses. Another player comments that they hate natural disasters like typhoons, but Wada says they will be returning in this game, albeit less frequently. Someone asks to be able to make cheese, yogurt, and ice cream, which Wada says sounds great. Someone asks about the Hoe transforming into a tractor after it reaches level 4, which Wada brushes off as "too much," someone asking to put an N64 in the house, which Wada says sounds nice, but there's too many things in there already, and lastly someone comparing Wada's appearance to Yabe-san from the comedy duo "Ninety-Nine," which Wada disagrees and laughs at.
And that's it! Shortly after this magazine hit shelves, the game would finally release. There were several months of coverage afterward, which we'll probably go over, but that'll be for another time. A big thank you to ozidual of Gaming Alexandria for allowing us to use their scans. You can check out their full magazine scans on Archive.org.
#harvest moon#story of seasons#harvest moon 64#64Dream#64 Dream#Magazines#Magazine Scans#1998... I'll never forget it.#Ninety-Nine also did the “Hot Mario” commercials#but obviously Yabe looks like Mario there so we didn't link it#the various requests remind me a lot of the wishlist on HM Farm#the mention that bikes are too much does make me wonder about the one from Olive Town though...#it did kind of make horses irrelevant#official art#scans#magazine#karen#elli#pete#marie#mary#elly#ann#ran#maria

Fraternity’s youngest ft Whitebeard pirates pt2
Pt 1
A/N woop woop, here we go; friends! Once again I want to remind you that this was both inspired and built upon @hannahbarberra162 ‘s own work Grand line university and if you haven’t read it get out and read it cause she’s awesome and and even awesamer writer and yall gonna love it. So please go check it out and while you’re at it say a hi and check out all her works, truly an amazing person and I thank her for letting me use her au and for betaing this work!
This story replaces the use of reader for Dokucha which stands for Reader in japanese for the enjoyment of both reader and oc character readers.
“Dokucha, you’re going to be late,” Haruta called out as he began putting his shoes on, preparing to set out. A yawn pulled his attention to the stairs and the descending preschooler.
“I’m tired,” she called with a yawn as she dragged her small backpack behind her. Soft thuds sounded as the backpack followed heavily behind her every time she descended a step.
The man frowned, kneeling down and beckoning her over. He easily hauled her up and put her on his hip, something that the girl was quick to take advantage of as she leaned her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes with a satisfied sigh. This, however, only caused Haruta’s frown to deepen as he began to make his way outside.
It was no wonder to him that the young girl would be tired. It had been a month since the events had taken place at the time. They had all agreed that the best course of action was to keep the girl home as they helped her deal with the horror she had to witness that day. The whole shift had caused her usual constant schedule to become frazzled; not only had she lost the consistency the school provided, but the events themselves had rattled her enough to cause night terrors for weeks, and even now, it would not be rare for the child to wake up crying.
Turns out that Teech had been planning such an act for a long time. They found out after quite a long talk with the fraternity boys that he had sold out Ace in exchange for the benefits the fraternity held. The Greek fraternity had promised the Somalian not only immunity to many questionable acts but unique opportunities and interviews with highly coveted archeologists, which would open the doors for the man to discover invaluable treasures and fame beyond belief, or so he was promised.
He still remembered the day it happened; it turns out that Ace’s younger brother was on his way to a meeting with another fellow president, Trafalgar D Water Law, when the two came across the Greek fraternity beating Ace an inch from death. It took little to no effort for the two to overwhelm the fraternity boys, but as soon as the two had approached the fallen Brazilian, Ace had begged Luffy to save the child who had witnessed the event as Ace feared the worst would come to happen if they let Teech get his hands on her.
Things had calmed since then, and the WBP had more or less returned to normal now that Ace had made a full recovery and was back to his usual antics, though this didn’t make the girl’s transition to a set schedule any easier.
“Ne, Haru-nii, will you be in my class today?” Dokucha mumbled.
As an Early Childhood Education student, Haruta often saw some of his hours and other necessary work in Dokuchas school, often ending up as her temporary Teacher in his path to complete his studies.
“Maybeee, I have some classes in the morning, but in the afternoon, I will be doing practicals, so I will go by the school. I’m not sure what class I will be placed in; I just go where they need me,” he mused.
Within the comfort of his home, if asked about his clothing, he would always say that dressing the way he did made him feel connected to his culture, something that he was well proud of, and although his peculiar sense of fashion had people turning heads outside the university, no one would ever say anything about the Welsh’s old styled clothing both because of his strong ties and because they believed it to be a perfect fit for his job, after all the kids loved his extravagant clothing, this combined with his manner to address problems in the classroom made him an incredible addition to the childcare profession and many professors and staff entrusted their children to him.
“Awe, when are you going to be my teacher, Haru-nii?” she whined as she pulled herself back from his shoulder to look up at the man
“I still have two years to go.”
“But that’s too long!”
“It is perfect timing, actually! In two years, you will be in elementary, and lil ol me will be waiting for you, won’t be able to escape me when I am your teacher,” he snickered, digging his fingers into her stomach, watching as the girl tried to escape his grasp as he did.
“Hehehe! I’m gonna be the best student!” she boasted.
“Oh! Will Nami-sensei be there, too?! I like Nami-sensei; she taught me all about clouds and how they go boom boom and make all the pretty lighting!”
“Sorry, Stinker, Nami is a preschool teacher, so she won’t be able to be your teacher when you’re all grown up. She is, however, gonna be stuck with you for another year.” he teased as he threw her in the air with a laugh
“Marco-Nii!” Dokucha called with a grin as she made her way inside of the familiar office.
“Dokucha?” Marco called, standing up after giving a short apology to his tutee as he kneeled down to speak to the girl.
“What are you doing here-yoi?” he questioned
“Stefan Brought me!” she cheered, gesturing to the canine behind her, who looked awfully guilty under the Cypriot man's stare.
“Again, Stefan? She guilt-tripped you again-yoi?” Marco asked exasperatedly, pinching his nose as the dog began whining and attempting to hide under his paws.
“Alright-yoi, I am in the middle of a session right now, so if you are going to be here, you have to be quiet, clear?”
“Yes sir!” she called, giving the man a salute, which he returned with an eye roll as he scooped her up and returned to his place behind the desk.
“I apologize about that; let’s continue-yoi,” he started, placing his attention back on the young student.
“T-Thats alright,” they mumbled.
“Now, back to the functional groups, there are five different groups you have to learn....
Dokucha quickly tuned his words out, the Jambo the two discussed easily lost in her mind as she distracted herself with the pictures that sat on top of his desk delicately, with one taking her attention. It was her, her father, and Marco all grinning at the cameraman, an imposing scenery behind them.
Dokucha grinned as she remembered when she took the photo. It had been not long ago when they had taken her along to see the men’s homeland just like many of the brothers often did. Despite the location of the Trodo’s village making it hard to visit the renowned beaches that made Cyprus famous, the three usually walked the equally famous and beautiful mountain ranges in the village, which was where they had snapped the photo.
It wasn’t until the sound of a door echoed in the office that Dokucha realized she had spaced out for a long time as the previous tutee had now since gone and, in its place, entered a new one, one that the child could recognize.
“Pretty Lady!” she cheered, excitedly waving her way as the woman sent her a small, shy smile.
“Dokucha, I’m going to text one of the guys to pick you up-yoi.”
“Why?!”
“Because I have a tutoring session,” he quickly replied.
“But you let me stay for all of them!”
“This one is...different,” he called with a sly smile, not taking his eyes off the now-flushed woman.
“Boo Hoo! Then I go with Stefan,” she proclaimed, climbing up said canine’s back. Marco eyed the two skeptically; had this occurred a few months ago, he would not have hesitated to allow his sister to go on her merry way, accompanied by the dog. However, after the events that had occurred, he, along with all of his family, had become more wary of what and where they allowed the young girl to go alone.
He reconsidered this, remembering that the professor who taught the very same class he was to tutor the girl in was in the same building as him.
“I will send a message to Professor Rayleigh; you can go to him; that’s as far as I will go,” Marco reasoned.
“Okey! I go see Mr. Rayleigh!” she cheered as Stefan took off, taking the giggling girl with him.
“Don’t go anywhere else!” Marco called after them, letting out a huff at the distant but witty reply he received from the child, turning his attention back to the femole in front of him a grin grew on his face as he leaned his chin in one of his palms.
“Now then, should we start your lesson?”
Now if you really want to know what happened in that lesson you are going to have to head over to hannah’s 🤭

Bandai Namco US also showed off the Tamagotchi Play Charm Phone Mametchi Plushie that attaches to your phone case.

There is also a new type of plushie coming, one that actually houses your plushies. It almost looks like a jacket that will cover your plushie and come with a lanyard to wrap around your neck. Two were previewed, a Kuchipatchi and Mametchi style.

The newly announced IN Tamagotchi plushies were also on display, and they look even better in person!

Lastly is a Tamagotchi backpack! Tamagotchi Adventure Companion Backpack which will allow fans to take their digital pets on a real-life adventure. CENTAURWORLD HERD AS HUMANS!! (Horse is above cut, everyone else is below.)
all of the characters I've seen (and correct me if im wrong on this) kimiko glenn voice are japanese, so I thought it wouldn't be too far fetched to interpret horse as japanese
I don't know why but Wammawink was definitely the hardest to catch the "essence" of, she still doesn't feel entirely like wammawink but i love this one regardless
since you can't really get rid of her portal tummy since it's important to her character, I thought it would be funny to just give her a GIANT backpack
I had original "concept art" for these designs, zulius is the only one who didn't change at ALL all the others changed in some way
I had a different original drawing for this one which was SO. UGLY. and it almost got posted, but eventually i just couldn't stand it and i redrew it.
this one took me the longest because i could NOT figure out what shoes to give him and I could NOT figure out how to draw his head in the new artstyle i was testing.
P.S. This is my first time drawing someone with dwarfism so constructive criticism and tips are appreciated!! I apologize if I did anything wrong, and make sure to tell me if I did.

Badges and Bloodstains
Plot: Reader is a cop who has one memorable night with Raphael, but something in brewing in the shadows of the city that tests the strength of your character, and your love.
Chapter One - Silence is Overrated

-image not mine-
Chapter Two - Well That Was Unexpected
I unlocked the door and practically shoved it open.
Today had been one fuck up after another. All I wanted was some beer, too much ice cream to be considered healthy and a good night sleep.
Considering I wasn't originally planning on one, I wasn't tired and wouldn't be for a good while.
I was supposed to cover Hernandez's shift tonight, and he'd take mine next week, but then this afternoon he changed plans and only told me after I'd already left the building.
Now, I had taken my pre night shift nap and already gotten halfway to the station for nothing. Oh well, a night in would do me some good. Things had been pretty crazy as of late.
Drama back home, friends calling for me to choose sides in an argument, boy troubles with the situationship.
I needed a night of music, comfort food, and a good old 90s Disney movie.
Slamming the door shut with my foot, I hung up my keys and locked the dead bolt, heading into the apartment as I began to peel off my coat. "Yo April, you still he-" I froze.
Ok, what the fuck.
I don't even know how to begin to describe what I walked into, other than the fact that there were four not humans in my living room. Two on the couch, with April in the middle, another two on the floor. April's boyfriend was there too, the detective guy. We all looked at one another, waiting to see who would react first.
I took them in slowly. Green, no noses or ears, scraps of material wrapped over their eyes like masks. Each was armed with traditional Japanese weapons, and looked like they lived at the gym. They seemed to have large backpacks on their backs at first glance, but then I looked closer and realized those were shells. They were some kind of reptilian-man hybrid. Three fingers, odd three toed feet.
Well, ok then.
I eyed the pizza on the coffee table. Three boxes, each still steaming hot and drowning in cheese. Netflix was loading on the TV.
Huh, I go off to save NYC and they have a movie night.
"I thought you were working." April recovered first.
"Shift didn't get changed. Last minute stuff." I reached back and upholstered my off-duty gun, which had all four whatever-they-were's standing and scrambling either towards the window or rushing to raise their hands.
April and Casey jumped up too, holding out their hands as if that'd settled everyone.
I froze again, gun halfway to my side.
"Whoa whoa wait, they won't hurt you." April rushed out.
"Yeah well no fuck, they ain't eating you." Was my response as I continued to bring my gun forward. “Has no one ever warned you to not scare someone holding a gun.”
Ignoring the weird ass whatever’s and the alarmed looks, I knelt before the TV and opened the safe, unloaded my gun and dropped it in before locking the box.
I stood and everyone was still wide eyed and on a razors edge, the one with the orange mask halfway out the window.
"At ease." I mocked, turning and heading to my room. "Save me a slice, please!" I called just before shutting my room's door.
Changing out of my semi decent commute to work clothes into one on my step-dad’s old band shirts and some shorts, I untied my hair and headed back out. Beelining to the kitchen, I grabbed two spoons and two beers, then the tub of ice cream from the freezer.
Everyone was seated once again, but a movie wasn't playing yet and nobody seemed to have truly relaxed into their seats again.
I walked over, grabbing a slice of the margarita pizza and flipping it over so it made a sandwich with another slice and then popped them in my mouth so I had a free hand.
Tip toeing past the green men, who were still eyeing me, I opened the window and slipped out, not bothering to close it behind me as I climbed up the fire escape.
Once on the roof, I padded over to my spot on the far side of the apartment roof and sat down on the safety wall. Putting the glass bottles and ice cream tub down, I slipped the slices of cheesy ambrosia from my mouth and opened my sandwich, eating one slice at a time.
I took a deep breath in between bites, breathing in all the smog and fumes of this city and sighed.
As far as I could tell, I was only one of about 10 people who actually wanted to live to here. Whenever I told native New Yorkers I’d actually chosen to move to this city, they never understood why and looked at me strange. And considering the fact that half the people in this city wouldn’t give those green dudes a second look, me getting a strange look meant something.
But what couldn’t you love about this city? Nobody gave a fuck about anything. You could get breakfast at 2am in pajamas at the corner diner and find a dozen other people just like you, none even sparing you a second glance. And with so many people, you were just another blur in the crowd.
As someone who grew up in a small Southern town, with my entire life planned out by an entrepreneur father, having the freedom of an entire city as the tips of my fingers never ceased to not knock the air from my lungs.
I looked out at all the buildings, all those lights. How could anyone not find that feeling of witnessing all those lives coexisting alongside your own without ever crossing not awe-inspiring?
Below, horns honked and the never-ending symphony of sires filled the air. Music blasted from at least three different house parties, and some drunken asshole was stumbling around shouting. The sound of home.
I had just finished my pizza when I left a presence behind me.
"There's room for two." I called, shifting over despite there being loads on space on the wall.
I waited a moment, then another, and then the red banded one joined me on the wall.
I’d seen it, when our eyes had locked briefly when I’d scanned them all. He seemed uncomfortable, and not just at the fact that a woman with a gun was staring them down.
I couldn’t place why, or really care, but I could sense the need to get out. And when I’d slipped past them to get here, I didn’t miss the quick scan of my body.
I’d honestly been surprised it took him this long to follow me up here.
We sat in silence for a while, and in that time I opened my ice cream and began to eat, the other spoon an open invite.
I watched him from corner of my eye. He was watching the city with as much fascination and love as I did. But it was a pained sort of love. Like he knew he’d never be able to live without the city, but couldn’t stand to be spend another second trapped within it.
"Why two spoons?" he finally asked, taking it and beginning to eat.
"In case I drop the first." I answered around a mouthful of ice cream. “Last time I went back for a second, they fucking stole my ice cream.”
He laughed, the sound coming from deep inside him.
I felt heat flush my cheeks, ducking my head in the hopes of hiding my blush.
Because holy crap he was hot!
"And the second beer?"
"For the company."
He glanced over at me. "Who's company?"
I gasped when I finally took in his eyes. How could one pair of eyes be that beautiful? Amber irises that reflected the millions of lights, yet outshone every one of them. And they looked at me. Actually looked at me.
People moved out of my way, colleagues respected me, citizens and criminals looked at me with annoyance or hatred, or sometimes awe and fear, not no one saw me. I looked at him and felt like he was truly looking at me.
"Whoever wants to be." I finally had the sense to murmur, handing the second bottle to him.
He took it with a quiet thanks and brought the glass to his lips, me shamelessly watching his lips and almost groaning when he licked them after taking a generous sip.
Gaining some control of myself, I turned back to the city and tried to remember what was so interesting about this place. So lost in my attempts, I almost jumped when he spoke.
“So, why’d ya move here? April says you’re a cop. Small town not getting enough action for ya?”
I huffed a laugh, readjusting on the wall. “I was four the first time I told my mother I wanted to be a cop in New York City. Nothing else has ever mattered. Worked my ass off, and graduated from being a rookie last year.”
“Congratulations.”
God, could his voice get any deeper and smoother? And the Brooklyn accent? No fair!
“Thank you.”
“But why New York?”
I took a deep breath. “Don’t laugh.”
“The city of dreams?” he teased, smirking over at me as he took another sip of beer.
“Small town, everyone knew everyone’s business, my life was planned and on track to be like everyone else’s. But here, I can do whatever the fuck I want and no one gives a shit.”
He was quiet for a moment. “And let me guess, you fuckin’ hate it but are too proud to go home so you’re gonna tough it out a couple more years?”
I laughed. “Why would I hate this place?”
He turned to look down at me in surprise.
“I mean yeah, the streets are always so full, and you can never get a moment of quiet, but nothin’ beats that view. I can be who I want to be here.” I jerked my head to the building beyond, and after that, Manhattan.
He followed my gaze, and after a few seconds huffed. “Yeah, I guess you’re right.”
"I do miss the stars though." I confessed, looking up at the smoke clouded skies.
I leaned back a little, casting a challenging look his way. “What about you? Why haven’t you left this shit hole?”
“You mean other than the way I look?”
I rolled my eyes. “It’s the 21st century, nobody gives a fuck. You know how many furries and therians I’ve arrested.”
He was quiet for a moment, then turned to look to the city again. “I don’t know. I mean, I hate this place but…” He trailed off, brows furrowed in thought.
“But you can’t sleep without the noise?” I tried, and smiled at the agreeing nod.
He looked at me for a few beats, eyeing me slowly. "Raphael." he introduced, holding out a hand.
I shook it firmly. “Y/n.”

The safest person in the world (Ushijima Wakatoshi x G/N Reader) (Scenario)
Trigger warning: Reader is a victim of domestic abuse (not from any Haikyuu character), description of wounds
Proceed with caution
Content warning: Spoilers to how the manga finishes, takes place after the timeskip
Summary: Everyone knew Ushijima - the big and emotionless Ushijima - had a soft spot for the manager of the Japanese Men's National Volleyball Team. So, when the manager didn't come to work, they were double worried. And when the couch told everyone that the manager resigned, they didn't really have the guts to approach him at first. However, the same emotionally constipated opposite hitter was the safe place their manager had, the place that they needed for at least one night.
Words counting: 3655
Ushijima looked towards the entrance of the gym every now and then, choosing to ignore Iwaizumi’s stern look. The athletic trainer sighed and decided to finally break the news to the opposite hitter, but the coach was faster. Hibarida cleared his throat as he pushed the door from his office. Iwaizumi made some space for him and continued to look at Ushijima.
“I have news for you,” Hibarida stated plainly. “Our manager gave me their resignation letter.”
Ushijima looked again at the entrance, as like usually, you would enter and tell that it was a joke and that there was no resignation letter. But it was the middle of the Summer and April first couldn’t feel further. He missed everyone’s looks falling on him.
“Are they getting married and decided to spare their husband of the jealousy he would feel about us?” Miya joked and hit Ushijima’s shoulder. If there was anyone brave enough to talk to the opposite hitter during a time like this, it was the overconfident setter.
“You are not a clown, you are the entire circus,” Ushijima said with his usual straight voice and broke his pose to go to a different corner of the room.
As everyone was looking at him hitting the ball against the wall with cannonball force, Bokuto whispered: “Who taught him that phrase? I have to use it too.”
“Probably Tendou,” Hinata answered and shrugged. He felt conflicted between going to the opposite hitter or giving him space. Kageyama threw a ball towards Ushijima who reflexively hit it back and it ended up on the other side of the net, hitting the roof. If anyone was under that ball, they would have fallen dead right there. Before his friend could run to Ushijima, Kageyama did it first and wordlessly started training with him.
None of them was a good talker. Though, none of them needed any words at that moment. Kageyama’s presence was enough for Ushijima to know that he wasn’t alone.
As they continued to train, one of Ushijima’s hits made the fall fly to the entrance door of the gym. Suddenly, the door opened and that moment the ball hit your knee as you entered the room. It wasn’t a particularly fast or powerful hit. Ushijima’s hand slipped without him being able to transfer all the energy to the ball. It was a fluke. But it had been enough to make you fall on the other knee and grunt in pain as you were holding on your wound. It was Hinata who ran first to you, then Iwaizumi. Ushijima froze in his place as he understood whom he hit.
“Are you okay?” Iwaizumi asked as he tried to roll up your pants. The moment you saw his hands on your pants, you forgot about the pain and stood up to take a few steps back. Even from afar, Ushijima could see how your uniform wasn’t ironed – an unusual occurrence, as you were always looking very neat – your hair was a mess and the sleeves of your clothes seemed longer, covering half of your palms. Your face contorted in pain with every step you took and you seemed to visibly limp.
“Can I watch you play one last time?” you whispered, ignoring all the concerned looks that your beloved ex-coworkers were giving you. Everyone nodded, even the coaches and the athletic trainer.
You took a seat on the bench and put your big backpack near you, hugging it. Every now and then, you were looking in the pocket mirror. The door to the bathroom seemed too far away and you knew that the moment you stepped on your hurt knee, tears would stream out. But when the mirror showed you a tint of red on your sweaty cheek, you knew you had to make it. You took out a small bag with your makeup and walked to the bathroom, not noticing how the balls in the gym stopped flying.
You were already accustomed to it – to cover up bruises with makeup. It was the only reason you took your makeup with you in the small backpack you have packed. You from a few months ago would have never, but now it was different. You practiced late at night how to cover the bruises on your body, especially the ones on your face, turning into a color-theory specialist. As you looked at the shade you usually used to neutralise the fresh bruises, you understood that there was barely anything left. Sweat was running down your face as your whole body trembled in pain. The red cheekbone and the swollen knee weren’t the only wounds you had. Your working wrist was hurting too, making it impossible for you to hold onto the brush.
You bit on your lip as you tried to do your best on reapplying the make up. When you finished, you looked at yourself in the mirror. What you saw was pathetic and you had to turn away your face to not cry.
Somehow, you made your way back to the bench and smiled at Iwaizumi when he gave you a stern look. Then, you proceeded to continue to do what you had been doing till then: look at the entrance door and at the mirror. The gym was the safest place for you, but what if it wasn’t? What if suddenly, the monster who was doing that to you for the last few months entered the gym and took you back to hell?
You didn’t care how slow or fast the time was going. You were ready to spend the rest of your days in that gym with your team. But it wasn’t possible and the next moment, Ushijima was near you, drinking water and changed into his day-to-day clothes. They weren’t very different from his usual uniform: he was wearing a pair of sweats, a funny t-shirt that he claimed to have as a gift from his chocolatier friend, and a matching with the sweats sports jacket. His bag was secured on his big shoulder. Your friend took a seat near you and followed your gaze to the door.
“Are you waiting for anyone?”
You shook your head and touched your cheekbone to feel the makeup on it. A strong pain hit you like lightning. You could see the stains of foundation on your fingertips and hoped the rest of it was still covering everything.
“Can I go home with you?” you whispered as your hand started to tremble.
Ushijima got up as he continued to mutter “yes, yes, you can, yes” under his nose. He asked you if you needed help to get up. He probably saw how you limped. You dismissed his help, as if accepting it meant to tell him everything and introduce him to your problems. Ushijima didn’t ask for this, so why bother him?
But he was bothered. Ushijima had been bothered before this thought had even crossed your mind. That was why he let you walk in front and he was one step behind you, even if he was way bigger than you and he could easily walk faster. He kept a distance small enough to make you feel his presence, but big enough not to accidentally touch you, because he knew that lately, you were flinching every time someone was touching you.
Ushijima unlocked his car and let you slip into the passenger seat next to him. The drive home was silent. You were too busy to look at all the cars you encountered to start a conversation and Ushijima had never been too much of a talker.
It wasn’t the first time you were in your friend’s apartment. However, now you felt like you shouldn’t be there, like your entire presence was dirtying his home, as if a stain would remain after you stood up from his sofa, as if he wouldn’t be able to clean away the smell that you left, as if the food would get ruined with you in the kitchen.
When you tried to walk past the corner of a wall, you brushed your shoulder against it and a sharp pain reminded you how beaten your whole body was. You stopped to hold onto your wound and Ushijima stopped in the process of getting his shoes out.
“Are you okay?”
You turned to him and smiled. You did it before too. Not to him, though. To that other one, to the one who was getting mad if you looked even a little bit upset and who was getting happy when he saw you suffering in pain. To the one who was telling you how pretty you looked with his marks on him. To the one you were searching in fear in every crowd.
Ushijima walked past you to the kitchen with his eyes still on you, waiting for your response. He stopped in front of you, who was freezed in fear. His hand brushed past your wrist and it made you squeak and move your hand away from him. You held onto it while trying to fight the tears that were forming in your eyes.
“I’ll run a bath for you, okay? Do you need to change clothes?” you nodded without looking at him. You knew you would cry if your eyes met. So, you froze for the next ten minutes in the same place and moved only after Ushijima announced to you that the bath was ready.
Finally, you could wash away the shame from you. Firstly, you hopped into the shower, not wanting to make the bath filthy. It hurt to touch the multiple bruises on your body, but it hurt more to feel that monster’s hands on you.
Two minutes, you needed just two minutes and everything would have been perfect. The bus you were in would have started and in a few hours you would have been at your family’s house. You didn’t tell them what had been happening to you, too afraid to bring shame to the peace of the family. And why should they know? It was enough that you wrote a criminal complaint against the person who was supposed to love you. They didn’t have to know all the details. The police would move forward with the investigation while you stayed for a while with your family.
But no. The monster had to find you and destroy your plan. He had to get you out of the bus and drag you after him, and beat you for trying to run away. You ran, you ran fast to the only safe place you could reach by foot. You ran to your work, knowing well enough that it was the only place the monster would never enter, afraid and intimidated by the big strong men inside.
The tears were running down your face every time you touched a particularly painful part. You wanted to have every millimeter of your body cleaned from the touch of that monster. You didn’t love him anymore. But you were afraid, disgusted, ashamed.
In the bathtub, your body was aching and you were sweating from the pain. So, you didn’t stay inside for too long. In the mirror, you saw that the red bruise you had on your cheekbone was now visible and seemed bigger than in the morning. At first, you didn’t want to go out like this in front of your friend, but he had nothing that could have covered it. Plus, something, deep down, was telling you that he already guessed a big chunk of what you were going through. He probably didn’t know the details, but he knew that something was deeply wrong.
With your face down, you went out of the bathroom and took a seat at the table. It was enough to look at Ushijima’s face for a second and the tears started to stream again. For the first time, you were crying in front of someone, showing them the true colors of your face. You knew that Ushijima would understand, that he would be the right person, that he would never try to touch you, that his presence was enough to comfort you, that he was safe for you.
“What happened?” he whispered. When you looked at him, his eyes looked like the saddest eyes you had ever seen in your life. His voice was barely above a whisper, but not even once did he look away.
So, you told him. Slowly, through hiccups, you told him how you met your former boyfriend, how everything seemed perfect at first, how you moved in together after a few months of dating. How he was jealous of your work and it all started with him turning off your alarms. How once you came late to work because he tied you to the bed. How it turned into him hitting you when he was drunk and deeply apologize the next day. How you tried to run away at first, but he told you that he would destroy your life. How he started to beat you. How you wrote a criminal complaint against him and he found out but the investigation was still in work and he was free. How you resigned to hide but he found you at the bus station and beat you. How the only safe place in the whole city was your work and you were afraid to be alone.
“What should I do to help you?” he asked after you stopped hiccuping. You didn’t know. It was enough that you had a place to stay in, that you could finally sleep safely for the first time in weeks.
So, you just mumbled: “Thank you.”
You drank tea with Ushijima and ate soup. It hurt to hold onto anything and to even chew.
“Let’s go to the hospital,” Ushijima told you as he saw the spoon drop from your hand for the third time. You shook your head. No. You were afraid to be in public, especially at that hour. You just wanted to sleep. At least for one night. You wanted to have a calm sleep.
Buzz
It was your phone that made a sound for the first time that day. Your eyes fell on the screen and you saw an unknown number sending you a photo. Ushijima’s eyes were on you as your trembling hands unlocked your phone. He was right there with his quick reflexes to stop it from falling onto your soup after you saw the image. His eyes also stopped on it and a photo of your location on the map made him stand up from the table.
“I’ll call the police,” he said to your trembling figure. You heard it, but didn’t listen. You wanted to have one peaceful night. You wanted to have at least one day without the fear of being killed and that monster destroyed everything. You couldn’t stay there anymore. However, Ushijima’s presence stopped you from running away. So, while he was on the phone, you closed yourself in the bathroom. It wasn’t the first time you did it. In the past, you also used to close yourself in the bathroom, if you were fast enough to run to it in time, waiting there for the monster to calm down.
There were loud noises outside, knocks on the door, voices, screams. You even heard a punch but didn’t know who did it to whom. You didn’t care. All you cared about was for it not to end up on you. Your whole body was aching as you balled in the corner of the room. And suddenly, silence. And between silence, soft knocks on the door every now and then, and between knocks, soft callings of your name. It lasted for a lot, but they continued and continued till you recognized the voice. So you answered.
“I told the police we’ll go to them together later. They got him. He is arrested,” Ushijima explained.
Arrested. Police. They took him away? It meant he wasn’t there anymore. It meant you were safe? You could go out?
It took you some more time, but finally, you left the bathroom. Ushijima gave you space to walk and guided you to the bedroom.
“I’ll take the sofa,” he said as you laid down.
No no. What if the monster returned? He was with the police, but what if he could convince them to let him go. No!
“Can you sleep in this room too?”
And Ushijima agreed, putting a futon on the floor, near the king sized bed you were in. It took you a lot of time to fall asleep, as you were listening to all the sounds around you. But you were so exhausted that soon you gave in. However, it didn’t last for too long, as images of the monster kept appearing in your nightmares. Every time you woke up screaming, a soft voice was whispering to you that you were safe, that he would protect you, that everything finished.
It wasn’t the only night that felt like this. Night after night, in the safety of Ushijima’s house, you continued to have nightmares that your friend tried his best to stop. And somehow, both of you found that if you held onto his hand while falling asleep, your sleep was deeper and longer.
Ushijima even talked with the coach to let you come back to work when you were ready. And when you finally felt well enough to leave the house, you found out that he never told anyone about what happened. So, you were back in your safe bubble, having the whole autonomy of your earnings. Little by little, you earned enough to rent an apartment.
“I’ll move out after the trial,” you once told Ushijima as you held his hand while trying to fall asleep. Your eyes were searing him in complete darkness, but he was nowhere to be seen. Your heart was pounding in your ears and a wave of fear washed you from head to toes. What if he told you he would be happy to let you live in his house forever? What if he accidentally said something that would make the safety of the walls fall down and leave you without a place to live?
“I’ll help you with your things,” Ushijima answered and put another brick on what the monster destroyed. You trusted your friend and found him as the safest person in the world. Yet, every now and then, the fear of going through the same thing as in the past made you suspect something bad would happen.
“Will you come with me to the trial?” you asked, holding harder onto his fingers.
“Only if you want me to.”
Oh, how you wanted! There were things you were ashamed of, things that you did that made you hate yourself, things that you didn’t want anybody else to know. However, you were more afraid of facing the monster alone than of Ushijima judging you. You hoped he wouldn’t. The hope in people that you lost a while ago, was raising back to its shaky but strong legs, spitting the blood and the loose tooth, and adjusting its armor. Your hope was back on your side, fighting and giving you more power.
“Do you think the rest of the guys would want to come too?” you whispered after another couple of minutes.
For a while, you thought that Ushijima was already asleep.
“If you ask them, I think they would want to come support you,” he finally answered in a clear voice. He wasn’t sleeping.
“I don’t want them inside the court. I just want to know that I’m not alone.”
When you told the rest of your friends about what was going to happen and explained it roughly, they answered in chorus, as if programmed: “You are not alone.”
The trial was a challenge. Out of all your close people, only Ushijima was inside, because you asked him to. At first, you thought that the shame would eat you alive, especially considering how aggressive the attorney of the monster was. However, when you choked on your words explaining all types of aggression he made you go through, the sight of Ushijima gave strength to you and your hope, and through tears and trembling voices, you told the judge everything you went through.
You didn’t hear exactly what the punishment was or for how long. All you knew was that he was away from you. Later, you would ask Ushijima for the details. But it was the end. Yes, you had to go to a therapist, to learn how not to flinch, how to ask for help, how to trust people again, how not to feel guilty. But, the danger was taken away from you.
You watched how the monster was escorted out of the room. As the door opened, a hall of tall men formed behind it. You have never seen those men with that expression on their faces. For the first time, you understood why the monster was afraid of them. He seemed little and powerless near them, even hiding behind the police officers.
Ushijima waited for you to go out. As you walked, the tall hall started to dilate and a wave of applause reverberated through the building. Your friends gave you space. You looked at all of them in the face, trying to fight the shame that was eating you till then. It wasn’t your shame to carry. You thanked everyone for being your safe space.
Ushijima walked a little in front of you and watched you interact freely with his teammates. He smiled as you bowed to all of them. He continued smiling when you looked at him. After thanking your last friend, you rushed to Ushijima. Behind you, Kageyama was hitting Hinata on the shoulder to get his attention. After successfully doing it, he pointed towards your hand that rested around Ushijima’s arm.

K so, the pixiv page thing I found.
There's some interesting tidbits on there about Drayton that I wasn't aware of. I'll be focusing on the points of interest to me, you're free to follow the link and check out the page yourself!
I'm using a translator that ofc isn't perfect (and machine-based Japanese to English is always jank). It gets the general idea of things well enough for commentary to work. I can't verify if a lot of the information given here IS from in-game Japanese dialogue or text, but for the sake of enjoyment, I'm gonna go along with it.
(This is very long, but it was fun to make and I hope it's fun to read! It's all Drayton brainrot rambling.)
"Star Dan" = Team Star
"Ish" = "Issyu" (I think), Unova
"Four Heavenly Kings" = Elite Four
I never made an association with Drayton and Team Star, but tbh I do see it! He's basically doing the same things they did in terms of being a delinquent via skipping class, but his reasons for doing so are less....virtuous you could say.
Drayton essentially comes off as a flippant, crafty guy, which I don't think people would disagree with. He 100% hides his true character by not giving his true feelings space to breath, I will always stick to that belief.
I'm not sure what "Corsa" or "Hindunjim" is referring to, but Indigo Disk (ScarVio as a whole I bet) taking place after B2W2 in the timeline is neat to think about. I've personally believed it does, but if this is an official fact, all the better.
"Zeille" = "Seille", Carmine
So, Drayton is generally distrusted by people INCLUDING school staff. Big oof. My boy, you play with people too much.
"Taro" = Lacey
"Kakitsubata" = Drayton
"Nerine" = Amarys
This one's a little hard to piece together, but I think it says that Drayton wonders why Lacey addresses him more harshly in particular. Yet, other students even in lower classes also treat him that way, so Lacey isn't special in that regard.
LMAO over Lacey, Amarys, and Carmine hesitating to lend Dray their notebooks (I assume to help him study or catch up on work) because he mishandles them - likely by stuffing them haphazardly into his backpack or not flattening pages before closing them. Carmine having been willing to help him at least is cute, and I guess that implies she doesn't hate him as much as she makes it seem...or he pesters her enough until she relents and offers her notes.
EDIT: I was told that this info comes up in English too through Drayton and Carmine's clubroom interaction, but I legit had no idea it existed because I don't think I've seen that moment ever?? Or I've forgotten all about it. Gonna try to see if I can activate it in-game, or find a video showing it off.
"Suguri" = Kieran
Kieran gets special notebook privileges though (this is displayed in English too during Lacey & Kieran's clubroom interaction I believe).
Not sure what the "spoon feeding" line is about... Maybe that teachers have actively tried to help Drayton out more?
Uhh Drayton being Champion was such a big deal because the League Club is filled with strong trainers, yet he went undefeated for so long, even against Lacey who uses Fairy-types. So as a result, Kieran taking the title was a massive deal. I can get behind that story.
The students around the school who DO like him, primarily only do so because he's a strong trainer. That, plus how unreliable or emotionally distant he is, leads me to believe that most people in the school don't really care about Drayton as a person. Which I did already suspect and headcanoned, but still. I wonder if he deals with feelings of loneliness...
Drayton and Kieran (post Teal Mask & pre Area Zero trip I imagine) being opposites in terms of motivation & attitude is so true. They for sure get into spats or arguments, leading observes to think they hate each other.
I've ALWAYS believed Drayton in reality doesn't hate Kieran and treats him the way he does as basically a way to brush off his behavior. Returning the same energy, if you will. He, despite everything that happened, still wanting to resume some kind of friendship with Kieran at the end of the story heavily implies that.
Hm... Drayton was on guard when Kieran came back with the others from Area Zero? But he still apologized, and the two made up. Nevertheless, Drayton calls Kieran "ex champ" to mess with him - canon. This does get on Kieran's nerves, but not enough for him to get genuinely upset. Figures, because he has more important things to dedicate energy to.
Uh, Drayton messing with Kieran also comes out of a place of happiness that he's off his destructive path. Cute, and I can see it.
This all basically is a rundown of Drayton's part in Indigo Disk in pushing for the protag to join the club. Highlighting the third paragraph there: Drayton figured that the protag was the key for Kieran's power hunger getting dispelled. Fact, though Drayton didn't understand the context surrounding Kieran's obsession, which did come back to bite him and everyone else in the ass.
The paragraph above this one was talking about Hassel and Drayton's clubroom interaction. BIG interest in this one. People who've been following my posts here & on my archive now that one of my biggest Drayton headcanons is that he deliberately fails his classes so he won't have to go home.
Drayton being callous with Kieran and wanting him off the throne because he related to the power obsession and learned firsthand that it's self-destructive? That's implied in the English dialogue too, but it's still so gooood, and gives even more depth to Drayton's actions.
"Omodaka" = Geeta
"Souryu" = "Soryu", Opelucid
"Shaga" = Drayden
"Hassaku" = Hassel
Yeah Drayton without a doubt just wants to say in school and not think about the far future. The illusion he's clinging to is not gonna last, but you know.
"Akamatsu" = Crispin
Drayton appears as a friendly guy, but he basically has hella walls up and as a result, struggles to genuinely form connections with others. He has good intentions, but because of how he comes across, others regard him as a trickster who's up to something and thusly don't trust him (or trust in his intentions actually being good).
Even though he put effort into his plan, it was still a bad plan at the end of the day. He's intelligent and can be sharp, but he's just as capable of being a dumbass. Yep yep.
Crispin was so right to call Drayton out and tell him to knock the devious shit off, unless he wants people to legit start hating him. If he's gonna cook up a plot like "Operation help Kieran lose" again, he should communicate it with his friends so they can all help one another. This calls back to how Drayton struggles to connect with others; it really seems like he just can't fully TRUST other people.
Why? His upbringing and how he's obviously unhappy at home could be to blame. Perhaps he feels he can't truly rely on other people because of how conditional the love & care from others can be. Damn... At least Drayton's aware of his own mistakes, and admits that he didn't want the fallout of Kieran's defeat to have happened the way it did.
"Orachif" = "Orachifu", Maschiff
General stuff about Drayton's appearance. I think the "appearance of Zoroa's jade" references how his pompadour with the purple streak kinda resembles the petal of some Iris flower. I remember reading about that somewhere.
He's definitely taller than Kieran and Crispin. The underage label attached to those two give off the impression that thusly, Drayton's older than them. Which I feel is heavily implied, in how he presents himself as a whole. He being a bit shorter than Carmine is funny, either she's a tall girl or she's even older than Drayton.
So this basically talks more in depth about the complicated aspect of Drayton's intentions for Kieran.
To me, to put it simply: Drayton was acting out of genuine care AND spite - the want to knock him down a peg or two. Kieran was behaving poorly, but Drayton was also upset at how Kieran was treating everyone in the club. Should he have let his bitterness have a hand in his actions? No. Was he in the wrong there? Yes. But can you blame him for being upset? No, if we're being honest with ourselves.
Even if you want to throw in the "Drayton wanted revenge for losing to him" angle, do you really think Kieran was a good sport about winning? I highly doubt it, if he's kicking club members out for being unable to train because they're having family problems. Let's just be real here. There was toxicity on both sides.
People talk about this with Kieran, but don't forget Drayton is also a teenage boy. He is not a saint. Emotions can play a huge part in a teen's actions, and all of those emotions aren't going to be good / selfless. No matter how much Drayton fucked up, none of it was egregious nor warrants him being labeled as a scumbag. (Especially because ultimately, he WAS the only one *actively* trying to help Kieran.)
The lines about everyone at BBA, including Drayton, having no context on Kieran's change and thusly misunderstanding him is SO important. Because it's true. Y'all think Carmine would've told him the truth? Hell no, because she doesn't trust him as previously established.
I personally believe Drayton wouldn't have went about what he did in the same ways if he knew the full context, on how Carmine and the protag initiated this change. This doesn't excuse him of course, but again. Nuance.
You know, I noticed how Drayton's the only one of the E4 that has his mons in ordinary pokeballs, but I didn't stop to think about it until now.
If you consider how Quick Balls (Crispin), Nest Balls (Lacey), and Heavy Balls (Amarys) each make pokemon easier to catch upon specific criteria being met.... Drayton using regular ones means he on paper had higher difficulty. Yet, he still succeeded. Maybe an environmental storytelling detail that contrary to how lazy he acts, he is capable of working hard? I completely believe it.
There's also how regular pokeballs are traditionally the symbol of pokeballs and pokemon as a whole, which could also reference his traditional roots in Opelucid. I'm probably reaching extra far, but hey, I don't think it's unreasonable!
.
.
.
That's about it! Everything else on the page is info I already knew and didn't feel the need to elaborate on, or supplemental stuff that applies to what I already touched upon here.
This post is likely riddled with spelling errors, but I don't feel like proofreading so take it as it is! And THANK YOU for reading all of it, if you did. Join me in the Drayton Enthusiast club if you aren't in it <3

Blood type: AB+
Weight: 106 lbs. (48 kg)
Design: She’s a 5’ 2” (157.48 cm) Japanese ectomorph with a rectangular body shape, sloping shoulders, subtle muscle tone, and slightly curvaceous breasts and hips. She originally had honey brown hair styled with tight, dramatic, oversized corkscrew curls that reached halfway down her back, paired with layered sides featuring voluminous waves that fell just below her bust. She had tanned rose beige skin, and her eyes were a sparkling blue-green. After her digital consciousness was transferred into a cybernetic body, due to her human body suffering irreversible damage, she underwent slight physical changes. Her new form features pale ivory skin, a black mole beneath her right eyebrow, and brownish freckles scattered across her face, neck, and hands. She has seemingly lifeless, heterochromatic eyes: her right eye is a leaf green, while her left eye is a sky blue. While her hairstyle is the exact same as Rumi's Metal Slug Attack portrait, her hair is a sandy blonde hue.
Her synthetic flesh retains the same scars as her old body, a reminder of her clumsiness and combat ineptness. Her lower legs are scarred with scrapes, while her thighs and upper arms are marred by numerous self-inflicted cuts. Her upper back and buttocks are covered in whip marks and knife cuts. Additionally, she has a slightly curved scar that extends from the middle of her levator scapulae muscle to the top of her thyrohyoid membrane.
When working as a nurse, Rumi wears a sterile white scrub top and a nurse's cap bearing a scarlet red cross. She dons Munsell purple cargo shorts that reach mid-thigh and are secured by a black belt with a silvery white snap-on buckle. On her right upper arm, she dons a Persian orange armband displaying the Regular Army logo. Her outfit is completed with black knee pads, Persian pink mid-calf socks, and fern green paratrooper boots with khaki laces.
When working as a battle supplier, Rumi wears a khaki blouse with rolled up sleeves and two breast pockets, tucked into a pair of mid-thigh maroon cargo army shorts. A rufous belt with a silver buckle secures her cargo shorts around her waist, and a walkie-talkie is tucked into the left pocket. She also wears the same armband as her nurse uniform, knee-length mindaro socks, forest green wristbands, and spike-soled rufous paratrooper boots, secured with bone-white laces.
When working as a fighter, Rumi wears E-Armour, a dark brown drop-leg holster for her electrical baton, and rugged, low-profile black combat boots featuring grippy soles. She wears khaki beige tactical gloves with grip palms, secured by forest green wristbands. Her black utility belt holds a holster for her Hamada Type II semi-automatic pistol, a sheath for her combat knife, eight mocha pouches for 7.65mm Browning cartridges, and a Persian orange waist pack containing flashbangs and her walkie-talkie. She wears a medium-sleeved maroon shirt and cargo army pants featuring an asphalt black, dirty grey, cordovan, and raw umber camouflage pattern. She accessorises with the same armband from her nurse and supplier uniforms.
She always carries an enormous forest green load-bearing backpack full of essential supplies, including maps, food rations, ammunition, and weapons. The backpack features two large side pockets, each adorned with scarlet square patches bearing a white cross emblem. It contains a mechanic's toolbox, a first-aid kit, a bottle full of Captagon oral tablets, a russet-and-fallow teddy bear wearing a Cobalt blue business tie and missing its left arm, and the same canteen of water featured in Rumi's Metal Slug Tactics portrait.
She wears a tang blue tube bra and panties, and has two hololith bracelets: the right wrist features a thick bluish-white band, while the left wrist has a thinner redwood one. She occasionally wears a Hawaiian flower lei around her neck, adorned with ten artificial peach blossoms. Her ponytail is secured with a sage green hairband, which features two artificial Viola mandshurica on the left side.
Character summary: She's known for being boisterous and talking incessantly, both on and off duty, and isn't afraid to sass back to superior officers when she thinks they're being too harsh. This often irritates some people, who shut her down immediately, like Marco, or ignore her because they can't stand the constant chatter, like Eri. However, others like Tarma and Fio are more tolerant, even finding occasional amusement in her passionate and rambling monologues. They're either desensitised to her talkative nature and sassy attitude or know how to respectfully put her in her place when she goes too far. She appreciates it when people genuinely listen to her and engage in conversation as she often feels like she's having one-sided discussions.
She struggles with kenophobia (fear of empty spaces), agoraphobia, severe abandonment issues, and unresolved trauma. She's mentally exhausted, cynical about the world around her, and bitter as she struggles to come to terms with a couple of lingering regrets. Rumi is prone to misery and guilt whenever she makes a mistake with lasting consequences. She's emotionally sensitive and cries easily when feeling scared and overwhelmed, but she makes an effort to conceal this vulnerable side from others. Due to the trauma she suffered during the Arms Deal Barrage and Great Morden War, she has secretly developed an addiction to fenethylline, never daring to share her struggle with others for fear of ostracism. Although she's trying to distance herself from it, the stimulant's effects—heightened confidence, physical performance, and alertness—are traits she highly values as a soldier and agent striving for excellence.
She does her best to keep her personal problems from getting her down, often appearing bright, cheerful, and happy-go-lucky. She often has a gentle smile plastered across her face, and she's very outgoing and extroverted. Although she often comes across as blunt and a bit abrasive, she's actually a thoughtful and caring person with a genuine concern for the health and well-being of her family, friends, and comrades. She'll selflessly put herself in harm's way to protect her loved ones and fight alongside her comrades in the most desperate of times. She's remarkably generous, readily offering assistance to those in need and providing vital supplies to her comrades in times of desperation. Notably, she has even been known to extend aid to her enemies, particularly when they're genuinely struggling, demonstrating her compassionate nature and recognition of their shared humanity.
She always becomes very embarrassed and anxious whenever she gives away certain supplies to the enemy and is quickly discovered by her allies. When this occurs, she manages to avoid suspicion by acting terrified and feigning innocence, insisting that the enemy forced her to give up valuable supplies. On Valentine's Day, both enemies and allies know her for giving out free chocolate treats that she bought herself to anyone she encounters.
She’s a handy mechanic who can be somewhat reckless and impatient at times, particularly when faced with excessive waiting periods, but overall, she remains cautious and tolerant. She's a bit of a klutz, often finding herself tripping over her own feet, randomly falling on her butt or accidentally headbutting people when she's in the process of standing up. She's a people-pleaser with a strong work ethic, but this sometimes gives way to a slightly egotistical streak. She tends to view herself as more hard-working than others and believes she plays a crucial role in the survival and successes of the Regular Army soldiers and Intelligence Agency agents. She's generally adaptable to change and is quick to apologise when she recognizes her mistakes. She likes pretty flowers and gentle animals, but is anxious around dangerous ones, which remind her of intimidating people.
She has a habit of adding the Japanese honorific "-san" to inanimate objects, believing that they should be treated with care and respect. She tends to drool in her sleep and has a habit of sleeping with three blankets, regardless of the temperature. She has a habit of trying to make dramatic entrances, but they never seem to go as planned. Due to her absent-mindedness and poor sense of direction, she frequently becomes disoriented on the battlefield, often wandering aimlessly. She's extremely loyal to the Regular Army, rarely questioning their motives, and dedicated to aiding them in their successes and protecting confidential information.
She has impressive arm strength, capable of tossing multiple grenades with ease from a distance, a skill she takes great pride in. She's not a very competent fighter and often resorts to nervously flailing her arms when in close combat. However, when she's deadly serious and very focused, she can fight exceptionally well, particularly by utilising knife fighting, grenade tactics, and exploiting her enemies' physical vulnerabilities to her advantage. She possesses superior stealth abilities compared to most of her comrades, rivaling those of Clark, Red Eye, and Tequila.
She looks up to Clark as a father figure and appreciates the support he provides, making her feel cherished. Whenever he's available, she enjoys talking to him for hours about various topics and listens intently as Clark shares stories about his day and imparts his knowledge on different subjects, gained from library books and personal experiences. Interestingly, Rumi sometimes confuses Clark with her former friend, Alexander Suvorov, due to their similar physical appearance and the fatherly energy they both possess.
She maintains a strong friendship with Red Eye, whom she deeply admires for her exceptional skills as a seasoned S.P.A.R.R.O.W.S. agent, drawing inspiration from her to become a better military woman herself. Her bond with Shufen is particularly strong as she has grown extremely fond of this personality. She finds it challenging to connect with Ruoxi due to her extreme trust issues and her initially aloof and ruthless treatment. However, she respects Ruoxi for giving her a chance and showing a more empathetic and tender side. As for Liddy, she gets along with her reasonably well, although she often finds her mischievous and hedonistic tendencies frustrating.
She’s on good terms with Celaphios, appreciating his willingness to listen to whatever is on her mind. However, she only shares conversations about her day and personal experiences with him because she doesn’t want to cause unnecessary concern. Rumi is grateful that Celaphios is willing to aid her in distributing supplies to deployed soldiers and fight alongside her when she needs it the most. She deeply cares about her older sister, Madoka, and enjoys spending time with her by going on nature walks, frequenting restaurants, and visiting amusement parks. She’s worried about her health, especially when Madoka is deployed on the battlefield or hasn’t been seen or heard from for a couple of days. She views her as glamorous and won't tolerate anyone who shamelessly insults her. She always helps her out, no matter what, even when Madoka is completely intoxicated.
Backstory: Rumiko Aikawa was born on January 18, 1997 in Kyoto, Japan. A month before she was born, her parents divorced for reasons that were never disclosed, possibly due to a strained relationship. As a result, she never knew her father. Her mother, Honoka, avoids discussing him, seemingly wanting to erase him from her memory. Rumi and Madoka spent their childhood in a small apartment, a one-hour bus ride from their school. Honoka worked tirelessly to provide for her daughters, taking on multiple part-time jobs that offered decent pay, even if it meant commuting long distances to earn a good income. Although she rarely had time to spend quality time with her daughters or help them with school, she made the most of the free time she had, teaching them valuable life lessons and essential skills like cooking and doing laundry.
At the age of 10, she developed a fascination with the inner workings of everyday items. She would frequently disassemble and reassemble toys and appliances, carefully observing their distinct mechanical components. Rumi can vividly recall the time when Honoka came home and walked into the kitchen to see her taking apart the toaster and Madoka cleaning the dirty parts. Her mother was very displeased, stating that their toaster was expensive and would be difficult to replace at a decent price. She confidently told her mother that she could fix it and easily reassembled the toaster in under an hour, while Honoka was getting settled. Later, when making breakfast for dinner, Honoka went to use the toaster to toast some bread and was pleasantly surprised that it worked properly. From then on, she never doubted Rumi's repair skills again.
Her family's new neighbour, a U.S. immigrant who lived across the hall from their apartment, turned out to be a car mechanic. According to her, his name was Phil, a caring, passionate, and introspective person seeking work in Japan. When he discovered Rumi's fascination with mechanical complexity during a conversation with Honoka, he began teaching her basic car repair skills, including how to fix a car engine.
A month after her 13th birthday, her mother developed heart failure, forcing her to reduce her work hours and rely on Madoka and Rumi for support. Inspired by Madoka's dedication to caring for Honoka and her determination to keep their mother alive, Rumi went out of her way to earn money, mainly by babysitting neighbours' pets or young children. At 16, she became involved in her school's tutor program, which provided her with an opportunity to earn extra money. As her older sister's physical health declined near the end of high school, Rumi took on various odd jobs to support her family's well-being. After graduating, she enrolled in a university paramedicine program, hoping her knowledge would help her family. However, the high costs of tuition and living expenses forced her to drop out after 10 months.
As things grew desperate and she worried that the health of her mother and Madoka was deteriorating rapidly, she made the decision to join the Regular Army, hoping they might be able to accommodate her. She enlisted in the Regular Army, so that Honoka and Madoka can make use of their medical facilities for treatment. However, a paperwork error during training led to her unexpected deployment to the frontlines in Iraq. Despite being under-trained, she proved herself by covertly capturing resources from enemy forces and redistributing them to Regular soldiers. She also repaired tanks that had sustained minor damage and provided first aid to numerous Regular soldiers. She emerged from the battle unscathed, and her actions caught the attention of Chris Key, Captain of the Intelligence Agency.
Chris Key, a British immigrant residing in Vietnam, was a member of an organisation that advocated national liberation in South America. He invited her to join the Intelligence Agency, and she eagerly accepted. She quickly formed a close friendship with Chris, who also mentored her in military matters. She soon came to admire him greatly, noting that he possessed a will of iron and would stop at nothing to achieve his objectives. Chris also played a role in shaping Rumi's brighter and more cheerful personality, emphasising that an optimistic mindset and a pleasant smile can be incredibly powerful.
Upon completing her training, she requested to serve as a supplier and nurse, a role unexpectedly approved. Since then, she has packed her army-issued backpack with an incredible amount of supplies, delivering them to friendly forces on the battlefield with the hopes of aiding in their victory. However, due to being horrible at remembering directions, she often wanders off to anywhere there's a path and seemingly appears and disappears out of thin air. This has led to a few unfortunate encounters with enemies. Fortunately, she usually escapes unharmed. On occasion, if she notices her adversaries struggling to survive, she secretly provides them with a few essential supplies. As a nurse, she regularly tends to hospitalised Regular soldiers and even special forces operatives, ensuring they return to top physical condition.
During the Arms Deal Barrage, she was deployed to the frontlines by Donald Morden to provide essential supplies to Red Eye and Tequila, who were facing shortages of food rations and ammunition. Upon arriving at Mt. Snow, a snowy, mountainous region serving as the fortified lines for the Serapion Fellowship, she became disoriented, having forgotten the directions provided by Morden. While looking at the map and frantically searching for Red Eye and Tequila, she was ambushed by a small group of masked soldiers, who destroyed her walkie-talkie.
She was imprisoned in a spacious but unheated hut and subjected to torture, including cutting, threatening to slit her throat open, and inappropriate touching, in an attempt to extract information about current Regular Army operations. She withstood the interrogation for hours, refusing to reveal any confidential information, until her captors eventually gave up. They then stole some of her supplies and locked her inside the hut. After a Frontal Attack was performed with the SV-000 to break open the hut, she was rescued by Red Eye and Tequila. In return, she gave them the supplies they desperately needed. Out of immense gratitude, she gifted Tequila E-Armour and provided a new one to Red Eye, replacing her well-worn and damaged one.
Following the events of the Arms Deal Barrage, she was promoted to Private. Her superiors recognised her invaluable support for Red Eye and Tequila as well as her bravery in maintaining secrecy to ensure the success of their attack on the Serapion Fellowship. This is also when she met Alexander Suvorov, 1st Lieutenant of the Intelligence Agency, after she accidentally headbutted him in the cafeteria and apologised. Alexander politely accepted the apology, but sternly and vaguely warned her to be careful next time. She learned from Chris Key that when he was a 2nd Lieutenant, he suffered an incident in which he was betrayed by a fellow agent and close friend, making him extremely distrustful of humanity. As a result of this, he wasn’t able to form a team with anyone and was transferred to the Intelligence Agency, where he achieved numerous achievements through his solo espionage activities. He reassured her that he’s a very kind and compassionate guy, but it would take some time to earn his trust.
Six months prior to the Great Morden War, she forged a friendship with Alexander, although it was a bit strained due to his mistrust of unfamiliar individuals. She held him in high esteem as a highly skilled agent, a proud and courageous leader, and a paternal figure. She discovered that he was a Russian immigrant who had relocated to the United Kingdom in pursuit of a better life. One week into the Great Morden War, Rumi, Chris, Alexander, and eight seasoned Intelligence Agency agents received a mission to identify the locations of civilians and allies being exploited as human shields. This unethical tactic, orchestrated by General Morden, involved the Rebel Infantrymen capturing and strategically positioning innocent individuals in the line of fire, effectively deterring the Regular Army from launching any reckless attacks.
However, Rumi's team was assigned to an operation where they would disguise themselves as working-class civilian POWs to provide support to allies on the frontlines. The operation was delayed when the disguised Intelligence Agency agents were ambushed and captured by Rebel Infantrymen, and subsequently thrown into a prison camp. Chris devised an escape plan, but Alexander cautioned him that one of the captives was a Rebel spy, prompting everyone to exercise extreme caution. To uncover the spy's identity, Chris ordered everyone to salute. Rumi quickly identified the spy, noticing their hesitation to comply. The group successfully apprehended the spy, binding them with rope, with Alexander speculating that they might be a brainwashed rookie.
After escaping the prison camp undetected, they found themselves still trapped in enemy territory. Rumi sensed that their return to friendly territory would be challenging as the heavily guarded iron bridge was their only viable option. In a desperate bid for cover, they used a hollowed, abandoned tank spotted by Chris and Rumi. They made a break for the bridge, dodging sniper fire and explosions along the way. Having successfully crossed the bridge unscathed, they soon realised they were still stuck in enemy territory with the Rebel Army's movements growing increasingly busy.
Chris had the opportunity to part ways with his comrades and resume his original mission, but he felt that would be unwise, given the strong bonds he had formed with them. However, Rumi and Alexander were forced to bid farewell to Chris and the others as they had received new mission orders. Before departing, they wished their friends a safe return and hoped that their paths would cross again once the operation was over. Rumi, Alexander, and a handpicked group of Regular soldiers adopted similar working-class civilian disguises and intentionally surrendered to the Rebels. Their mission was to gather vital information on enemy operations and serve as a location point for Marco's team. However, after a week in captivity, Rumi got tired of waiting for Marco’s team to arrive and rallied the group to leave.
Alexander stopped Rumi, accusing her of being a reckless and giddy idiot, but she retorted, confident that she could find Marco's team. She ran off towards where she thought Marco's team was, sincerely hoping they were not far. However, she ended up going in the wrong direction and walked into the Rebel's side of the battlefield. She would be reunited with Chris and five Intelligence Agency agents, who were badly injured after being viciously attacked by drug-crazed Rebel Army fanatics that killed and cannibalised three of their comrades. A group of Rebels on patrol in the area took notice of their presence and managed to corner them by scaring them off with gunfire, explosive cacti, and grenades. They would be captured and imprisoned in an abandoned warehouse that the Rebels were using as a strategic location. Before interrogation began, they managed to get their hands on Alexander and his group, who had taken notice of Rumi's strange absence and went out to rescue her.
They were ruthlessly tortured as the Rebel Army desperately sought to extract vital information that would aid them in their fight. Despite the brutality, they remained firm in their dedication to protecting the Regular Army's confidential information. The Rebel soldiers' torture methods escalated to genital mutilation, breaking fingers, aggressive beatings, and whipping. Rumi was then forced to witness the gruesome execution of her two friends: Chris was shot in the head at point-blank range and Alexander was beheaded with a machete. At this point, the Rebels grew tired of the silence and decided to exploit Rumi and four captured comrades to alleviate their boredom and vent their hatred for the Regular Army. She suffered severe injuries, including head trauma from being struck against a wall three times, a broken left arm, and severed feet. Additionally, she was subjected to starvation and dehydration on two occasions and was raped multiple times.
After a couple of torturous weeks, Rumi and her surviving comrades were rescued by the Magpies, who slaughtered their tormentors and called for immediate medical care. They were then escorted out of the abandoned warehouse by a group of nearby Regular soldiers and transported to the medical facilities at the Joint Military Operations Headquarters. She received medical care, being heavily bandaged, with each wound thoroughly cleaned. She was surprised to have survived the atrocities she endured, but the cost was high: losing two good friends, a burden she strongly felt responsible for. She couldn't help but wish she could turn back time and stay by Alexander's side instead of acting recklessly.
Madoka and her mother visited Rumi, who was showing some physical improvement, but they were shocked and devastated by her crippled state. Later, Marco, Tarma, Eri, and Fio came to see her, visibly upset by her ordeal and their hatred for the Rebel Army burned deeper as a result. Rumi recalled Marco telling her that he couldn't shake off the feeling of guilt for not meeting up with her and Alexander because his team was being pursued by Rebel Infantrymen. He also expressed frustration that their superiors hadn't informed them that Rumi's group had been sent to provide backup. Marco and Tarma delivered the news that Red Eye had been killed by General Morden, sending Rumi's emotional turmoil into overdrive.
Determined to keep one of their best nurses and suppliers alive, the Regular Army higher-ups obtained consent from Rumi and her family to give her a second chance at life. They then ordered their scientists and engineers to design a reliable cyborg body, which would be provided to Rumi once it was completed. To ensure her efforts weren’t in vain, she received a dual promotion: Corporal of the Regular Army and Intelligence Agency. After almost three weeks, Rumi's digital consciousness would be updated before being transferred to her newly finished cyborg body. She described her new body as feeling liberating and was overjoyed that she could move again. However, her trauma remained, and it was overwhelming, causing her to try to clear her mind by appearing more jovial. Unfortunately, she would soon develop an addiction to fenethylline, a mistake she deeply regrets. Her superiors offered her the opportunity to resign and return to civilian life, but she declined, believing she had passed the point of no return.
During the Extraterrestrial Alliance Clash, she was deployed in Riyadh before being kidnapped by the Arabian Infantry. They placed her inside a 3-Ton Utility Truck, where the Rebels used her as a temporary pack mule. She had a brief encounter with Abul Abbas, who attempted to woo her. However, she rejected his advances, bluntly telling him off, and he subsequently left her alone. Rumi was freed by Marco's new team and Hyakutaro, whom she supplied with weapons and ammunition. Later, she was deployed at the Ajirabian Ruins as Marco's team was running low on food. However, she got lost and ventured deep into the ancient pyramid. Eventually, she was found, provided Marco's team with the supplies they needed, and was then redirected to a nearby group of Regular soldiers who required medical aid.
She was dispatched to resupply Marco's team with weapons and explosives because they had depleted their ammunition and bombs. She made a swift stop to aid them, providing them with bombs, Heavy Machine Guns, and Laser Guns during their intense battle against the Dragon Nosuke. Additionally, she handed over two gas canisters when their Slug Flyer and SV-001 unexpectedly ran out of fuel mid-fight. After completing her mission, Rumi returned to the Regular Army Helicopter to await further orders on her next deployment. She was deployed in New Godokin City, where she entered a subway tunnel. There, she encountered two intoxicated, gossiping Rebels who sexually harassed and catcalled her. She defended herself, using her combat knife to inflict lethal injuries by targeting the major veins located on the neck. She was later found by Marco's team, who redirected her to locate Division 6 and ensure their safety.
She was deployed to a South Pacific island owned by the Peregrine Falcons Squad to oversee the final training of their latest cadet batch, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted process, free from potential Rebel disturbances. She was also authorised to provide assistance to any struggling cadets she encountered. However, her mission took an unexpected turn when she became lost in the jungle. There, she had a brief encounter with Logan, who initially attempted to kill her but ultimately spared her life, deeming her a waste of time. She also reluctantly provided food and medical aid to a contingent of starving and ailing Rebel Infantrymen, led by Ferdinand, who had also become lost in the jungle.
Once the Survival Island Occupation began and Division 6 arrived at the archipelago, Rumi decided to join the fight. Rumi proved herself to be a capable fighter while also serving as the primary supplier and medic for her comrades. During the mission to secure the base storing the Cabracan, she conducted reconnaissance to gather intel on enemy positions. However, she became disoriented and inadvertently stole food from the Rebel Army's special forces. Following the successful completion of the Survival Island Occupation, Rumi was promoted to Sergeant of the Regular Army.

Oh and I was wondering - how do the turtles go to school? Is it an online program or taught solely through Splinter? I actually just started an online class and it definitely seams reasonable that this is what they would use, but I also don’t know what year the story takes place in. Anyways thanks!
Hello, Anon!!!
Since I was homeschooled my whole life, (and have NO CLUE what it's like having online classes or going to public school), I decided the best thing for my lil turts would be the same as what I grew up with. :) For the first ten years of their lives, they are solely taught by Splinter. (Whom has gathered as many used schoolbooks as he could from lost and found, discarded backpacks, the library, and garage sales.)
Sometimes the level of the subjects was a bit high for the brothers, but they had to make due with what they had. By eleven years old, the oldest brothers would help teach the younger. (Whether they wanted to or not.) They would share the same books, always using pencils so Splinter could erase their answers and pass it off to the next sibling.
How Each Turtle Sibling Handled/Handles School
Leonardo- He's well versed in Japanese and loves to write and (sometimes) play music. He’s done many personal studies on soundtracks in his spare time. He only became an A+ student when he became a teen and was given the responsibility of his brothers and family. For years prior to becoming leader, he was known to cheat the most out of all his brothers- always looking for the easy way out of work.
Raphael- He hates school. A lot of it anyways.. But history class has all kinds of battles and wars, so he’s cool with that. Just don’t expect him to remember any dates. He was taught how to speak Japanese, but it might as well have been labeled as a ‘cruel and unusual punishment’. He is a sketcher when it comes to his work notebooks. Every page has little doodles of him and his bros fighting enemies or dressed like famous tv characters.
Donatello- He has already graduated high school, going as fast as he could to finish so he could start working. Even with rushing his studies, he was still an A+ student alongside Leo. (Once the leader took his studies seriously.) He is the most versed in Japanese, mostly because he really enjoys learning how different languages work, as well as how diverse different languages handle grammar, spelling, etc. He loved most of school, except for writing class. He’s not the most creative brother, so he found it boring and useless to learn how to write tales or poems.
Lotus- She was only taught a few things in her earlier years by the kind doctor from her past. __ would smuggle children’s books into Lotus' cell, and would teach her how to speak and sign. She can’t write- yet. But Splinter and Mikey help her to learn how as time progresses. She has a great memory and learns very quickly.
Michelangelo- School is.. fine. Not his favorite, but it gives him extra time to hang out with his brothers. He’s the least versed in Japanese, mostly because he was very little and didn’t understand a thing when Sensei taught his brothers. He can remember some words and phrases, but that’s about it. He wishes ‘Art’ was a class, but Splinter never really found any books on the subject, so he had to go in blind. He didn’t mind though. His best subjects were reading and animal science. He loves to use his imagination, and has a really clear voice, so reading came very naturally to him. He refuses to open a book though, unless there’s pictures inside.

As for what year this story takes place in- I haven't actually decided yet. XD For now, in the current story, I'll go with it's the mid 2000's. (Might change that later- but I'll use it for now.)
Great question! :)
