My pupper!! She's such a potato but I love the hell out of her.

I don't recall how much I have actually shared about her so forgive any repeated info.

She was born October 8th, 2014 (She's a purebred. Me and my ex had a *lot* of issues with rescues sadly. long story...) We named her lady because she sat up all prim and proper with her front paws crossed and he just looked like royalty. it was the cutest thing. I was about halfway through my pregnancy with my daughter at the time, and so when I went to meet Lady before we could officially take her, she curled up on my belly and put her wittle face between my boobs (lol) and fell asleep. If I coulda taken her home that day I would have.

She's an old Lady now, but she's got a ton of energy. She's a bit lazy, and has really bad anxiety. She's the queen of puppy eyes, and loves attention. New person? LET. ME. LOVE. YOU. DAMNIT is 100% her energy. You'll get sick of her WAY before she gets sick of you. She won't play with toys, but if she sees a squirrel, a bird, a lizard, etc. you bet your ass she's gonna try and chase it. I think she's afraid of snakes tho. Also, she sheds like CRAZY. my ex said "let's get a short haired dog! she won't shed." BULLSHIT. I was only petting her the other day, and I think I petted a whole other dog off of her. I wish I was kidding.

Thank you for asking about my little love. Lady is to me like Tara is to Gale (minus the wings and the sassy motherly talk lol).

For context; Germany is a bit behind and has a list of "dangerous" dogs that have special requirements, tests and costs when you wanna keep them. One of those "dangerous" breeds are Staffordshire Terriers, which I've always found really cute.

So the other day i was looking through the local shelters and one of them has their dogs sorted by how "easy" they are. Essentially categorized into beginner friendly, dog experienced and "professional". And while I'm rather confident about me and dogs, I was looking through the beginner friendly and experienced dogs.

Which were like 5 dogs. All of them staffies.

Meanwhile the "professional" ones, aka the problematic ones, were like, poodles, german shepherds and what have you.

Like yeah, obviously staffies are very dangerous.

On today's episode of Simps-R-Us: A Guy and his... pet(s), or You, Your Faves, and your fur/feathered/fin-babies:

Capt. John Price - Standing ten toes down on this: Price would have two small, cute dogs, one named Sir Peabody and the other named Lady Marie. You two spoil them something fierce and they have a pile of little doggy hats that match their beloved papa's... much to his chagrin.

Gaz - Gaz said he'd surprise you and surprise you he did. He came home with a cockatoo. A damn cockatoo. Jokes on him, though, because your bird baby absolutely loves to prank the shit out of Gaz, too, by mimicking your voice when you're away and making him jump. Jokes on both of you now, because Soap has taught him how to curse and that's all he does now, Scottish accent and all. You have a picture saved of the bird (named Buttercup) on top of Gaz's head.

Alex Keller - Has the most gremlin Donskoy (named Brunswick) to ever gremlin, complete with the wide stormy eyes, which is funny because Keller can sometimes make a face that's very much gremlin-esque and the two greatly resemble each other. Can usually be found making biscuits on Alex's head.

Soap - Has a Labrador named Whiskey that he absolutely adores. Whiskey has also put you two in the most adorable of love triangles where you don't know whose affection you're playfully fighting for on any given day. Also has a tendency to take Soap's socks and he has to chase him throughout the house. Well, he and Whiskey are chasing each other throughout the house just about constantly.

Ghost - You guys talked about it but he surprised you one day by bringing home a Belgian Mal puppers who didn't make the unit. His name? Pup. Pup Riley. And Pup Riley is a ball of energy. Bloody hell. He always assumes he's going for a walk whenever you two make ready to leave. He also won't let Simon leave without him and so Simon usually has to create a diversion just to walk out the front door. It's also not uncommon for Pup to jump on his Papa whenever he gets home, too. Oh, did we also talk about the fact that Simon has to fight with Pup for his side of the bed whenever he's home or that Pup wakes him up early in the damn morning to take him out for his first walk of the day?

Roach - Found a stray kitten and brought her home. Her name's Oatmeal. Oatmeal is now the chonkiest, cutest loaf (you send Roach various pictures of her Loafiness). You two also bought her a set of those pet buttons just for shits and giggles and Oatmeal's really caught on to them. She uses "Dad", "Mad", and "Food" a lot even though she stays fed lmao.

Keegan - To everyone's surprise (and his own), has a husky named Balto who ignores the concept of personal space, loves to put his paw right in the middle of Keegan's face, and has pissed on Keegan's boots more than once because Balto felt slighted (you had to go to the groomer's, buddy, you rolled in mud). You and Keegan have also lost count of the number of times you've had to carry Balto into the house because he refuses to come inside, especially when it’s cold.

Alejandro - You two adopted a senior dog named Mojo who is the most peaceful little angel. Can usually be found lying near yours or Alejo's feet as you're working or something of that nature.

Rudy - You two have this huge ass tank full of fish that run the gamut of the rainbow and you remember all their names. The brooding one is named Alejandro and his namesake was not amused lmao.

König - You two have a small but floofy cat. She's black with a grey undercoat that he calls his "little Prinzessin" and she always looks like she's in a constant state of surprise. Whenever she blinks or closes her eyes, she becomes a floofy void. Her Highness prefers to be carried like a baby, thank you very much.

Phillip Graves - You two are the proud parents of a Bulldog named Bubba who thinks he has his humans trained (spoiler alert: he kinda does). Bubba Graves makes your day with the way he silently judges his parents, throws a tantrum when he doesn't get more food or pets, and usually has Philip sigh facetiously and go, "Now, son, why can't you behave for your old man, huh?"

Since a lot of people expressed interest in Clipboard Buck's sexuality quiz, I'm sharing some of that 😊. Haven't had a lot of time to write today, had to take pupper to the vet for his shots (he's okay! A little mad about it, but he's kinda dramatic lol). Anyway, this fic is slowly coming together. I'm hoping it won't take super long, but ya know. Have one of my favorite parts:

"So you're..." Hen trails off. She's biting back a smile that screams I knew it. "I don't know what I am," Buck shrugs. "For the longest time I thought how I felt was just... normal." "It's not abnormal," Hen assures him. She rounds the coffee table and sits on it. "That's what Maddie said," Buck sighs. "All I know is I am definitely not straight, and I want to know what I am." "You don't have to pick a label," Hen points out. "I never did," Chim says before taking another bite of celery. The entire team looks at him, varying degrees of surprise on their faces. He looks around the group. "What? I'm not straight. This can't be news to you." "I knew you were flirting with Eddie his first shift," Buck declares at the same time Hen says "it's not news." Eddie raises his eyebrows and grins at Chim, who honest to God blushes. "I was being friendly," Chim insists. "You were being a possessive golden retriever trying to mark your territory, I... didn't want him to feel unwelcome, that's all." "Aw, thanks, Chim," Eddie says, patting his knee. "Or was it Asian Fabio?" Chim shoves at him. The force throws Chim off balance and he falls against Eddie's side, knocking him into Buck, who half collapses across the couch like a line of ridiculous dominos. Hen cackles and Bobby scrubs his hands over his face with a long suffering sigh. By some miracle, their coffees- and Chim's celery and peanut butter- escape the mess unscathed. Chim scrabbles up and takes a seat beside Hen on the coffee table, glaring at Eddie like all that was his fault. Eddie sits up and takes Buck's hand, pulling him upright. "Oh, so you help Buck but not the guy who wasn't afraid to flirt with you?" Chim balks. "I've always been the favorite," Buck says with a cheeky grin, knocking his shoulder against Eddie's. "Before we end up calling an ambulance to our own firehouse," Bobby says, "have you thought any about the label you might want?" Buck sighs, his shoulders dropping. "I've tried. It's all really confusing and I've read articles about each one that might apply to me until the screen went blurry." "Why don't you do one of those quizzes they used to put in magazines?" Bobby suggests.

Captain John Price - Funnily enough, his picture puts him in the doghouse. It's not a picture of you at ALL. It's a picture of you two's fur babies, Sir Peabody and Lady Marie. You can't help but admit it's an adorable photo but what the hell, Price?! There are plenty of photos of you and your adorable puppers.

Gaz - He... he doesn't have one. A force of habit or something like that. So you set it to the same picture you have on your lock screen so he can see that he does in fact scrunch his nose up.

Soap - Simply put, a picture of you being your cute, adorable self kissing Soap's cheek. Gah, it's as sickeningly vanilla as it gets. Some McLovin' definitely happened after that picture was taken.

Ghost - lmao. AGAIN. See, Ghost doesn't usually give a fuck because... it's a phone. But you do. So you set it to a picture of you, him once again glaring staring at the camera, and Soap. Three Musketeers or something like that. And now he's pissed because Johnny saw the photo and thinks Simon actually likes him and wants to take their relationship to the next level or whatever the fuck that means. Kick rocks, Johnny. Alejandro Thee Stallion - He actually has a group photo of Los Vaqueros as his lock screen. That's so fucking cute. Too bad he forbids you from telling anybody... after you told Rudy lmao.

Rudy - It's a picture of you wrapped up comfortably in his favorite blanket. The favorite blanket that everyone in Los Vaqueros has a betting pool about. Good job, Rudy. You still don't know the story behind it and Rudy isn't saying shit.

König - You, uh... you surprised him with a rather, ahem, nice picture as his lock screen. His lock screen was subsequently cracked. Because he was so surprised that he dropped it. It wasn't even risque but it was enough to make him flustered.

Phillip Graves - Phillip managed to piss you off and you vowed revenge. As a result, it's either a dildo or a middle finger. Or another unflattering photo of him. Asshole.

Valeria Garza - Her lock screen is also quite vanilla. Just a picture of you two, her arm wrapped around your waist, donning a matching pair of aviator shades. The scenery in the background is rather eye-catching, too. She always had a knack for taking scenic pictures.

steven would be wary at first because he worries the dog might make an even bigger mess of his stuff on the floor.

he'd be forced to clean up, might grumble a little in the beginning but will eventually enjoy the clean up process.

he finds it therapeutic in a way.

steven will 100% spoil the pupper. treats? yes. toys? he's bought it. clothes? he'll learn how to sew just so he can dress the dog up.

spoiler alert: he sometimes makes dog clothes similar to his printed button downs and goes out on walks with the matching clothes.

steven gives the dog the name, something like jackie or didi depending on the gender.

steven buys them a bed but will always let the dog sleep on his bed every single night.

steven will totally exhaust himself playing with their new pet. sometimes you'll come home and find him passed out on the floor with the dog snoozing on top of him or snuggled to his side.

steven will fill up his phone memory just to take pictures of the dog. silly, candid ones or where he lets their furry companion model his handmade clothes.

steven doesn't like bathing them though, he'll whine when he gets himself wet plus his flat doesn't have a tub to keep the water from (mostly) getting on him.

ᴍᴀʀᴄ ꜱᴘᴇᴄᴛᴏʀ

marc loves the dog. internally. you'll rarely catch him showing the pupper affection though he'll grow into the dog soon enough.

marc is the only one who trains the dog like sit, heel, shake and all that stuff.

marc who finds comfort in the dog whenever you're not around. if you're out working or are unable to come home, he'll turn to the dog and give them love. he'll make it up to you when you're back.

marc who grumbles and frowns whenever his headmates tease him about hiding his affections.

marc who buys proper pet supplies like a leash, bowls and a pet drinking fountain.

marc takes the dog out for early morning runs.

marc who hates cleaning up after dog fur when they start shedding, mutters under his breath as he vacuums the couch, the carpet and even the bed because steven trained the dog to sleep on their bed instead of the dog bed.

marc who, funny enough, is the only one who doesn't complain when bathing the dog. probably out of military experience?

marc who only ever uses the colored towels to dry the dog and never the white ones.

marc who scolds steven for overfeeding the pup to which the latter would defend himself saying he's been trying to control himself from giving them too many treats.

ᴊᴀᴋᴇ ʟᴏᴄᴋʟᴇʏ

jake who absolutely adores the dog.

jake brings them with him whenever he works.

jake who bought a pet seat in his cab and some portable cleaning supplies in case the dog shits while they're on the road.

jake is the little shit who secretly gives the pupper extra treats without the other two knowing, not even you.

jake who dotes on the puppy, sings to them and plays fetch in parks when it's a slow day working as a cabbie.

jake, although loves the furball to bits, doesn't like it when they sleep next to him though. he overheats with the additional warmth and sticking a leg out doesn't help anymore.

jake who loves, loves, loves bringing the dog with him to pubs or any establishments (pet friendly ones). if he was single he definitely picks up ladies this way.

marc snitched on him about that thought and it resulted in you ignoring him which led to you not coming home for two days until he apologized and said he meant nothing when he thought that.

jake who teaches the dog more silly tricks like play dead, stand and talk.

jake who holds the doggo like a baby which you take notice of and comment on how he'll look good holding an actual baby like that too.
