Post Massage - Stranded White Briefs
True Story: As I put my clothes back on I realized that my pants were missing. I frantically searched the small room coming up empty handed. I hear the door open! I look up at a licensed masseuse holding my pants in hand. Masseuse says “My apologies my man. Must have grabbed your pants while picking up the towels”…. He then turns his head, looking away as if he was embarrassed for me…. He chuckled and says, “Nice tighty whities my man!” The Masseuse hands me my pants and shakes his head as he walks out of the room. I could hear soft laughter just outside the door. After getting dressed I approached the receptionist to pay for my massage. The receptionist was a beautiful blonde girl. She burst out into laughter and apologizes as she said she has just watched a funny reel and couldn’t stop laughing. I tried to ignore her chuckles and pulled out my wallet to pay. I blushed in embarrassment. Upon leaving, I couldn’t help but question if the Masseuse had told the hot blonde receptionist about walking in on me in my tighty whities and mistakenly take my pants. I guess I will never know for 100% sure if he did or didn’t tell her…

I just keep thinking about how much I want Newton to have acquired a masseuse license sometime during his biology PhD— making a weak justification of ‘hands on information muscle interaction’, perhaps cracking jokes about it being good for meeting ~the ladies~.
When really, his longtime pen-pal Dr. Hermann Gottlieb just recently disclosed to him that he has terrible leg cramps in his right leg, and absolutely abhors asking physicians for help with it because it involves people he barely knows ~touching him~.
So it can’t hurt to pick up another skill…just in case.

Hear me out. Cirrus has a masseuse license.
Cirrus is a lot more physically than verbally affectionate. If you want words of comfort go to Cumulus or Mountain. Cirrus isn’t super cuddly either, not like Aurora, Sunshine, or Phantom, but she's good at physically being there. Since she often struggles to find the right words to help someone, she decided to learn how to physically help them de-stress. And not just by pegging them into next week.
She takes the required training and gets a masseuse license because she’s really determined to do it right and do her best for her pack mates. From then on, she’s doing everything she can to take some of the pain relief work off Aether and Phantom’s shoulders by helping with sore muscles and such.
 She loves helping all her packmates but especially Dew. He never asks for it. Not because he doesn’t want it, more because he bottles up his pain and doesn’t want to bother the others with it. When Cirrus gets tired of seeing the tension in his body, the way he winces when he rolls his shoulders, how he rubs his tender ankles and feet after a show, she all but drags him into her room. She has him strip and lay down on the bed on his stomach. When Dew hears the click of a bottle, he half expects her to tease lubed fingers over his hole any second. Instead, she cracks her knuckles and sets to work kneading at his shoulders with lotion.
He melts almost instantly, letting her work at all his tense spots. He rarely has to tell her where to focus; she’s watched him well enough to know the trouble spots. She runs her hands over him head to toe, from his shoulders, down his back and hips, his legs down to his feet. She always ends by having him flip over to rest his head in her lap and she gives him a scalp massage.
Sometimes that’s as far as it goes. Once Dew has melted into a purring heap, she’ll scoop him up and take him to the tub to clean off. Then they’ll curl up to sleep. Other times he’ll get up first, quietly thank her and disappear off to his own room; his ability to let himself be vulnerable maxed out. Still others, she’ll wait till he blinks slowly up at her. He’ll ask about showering and she’ll give him a mischievous look. The second he nods, she’s rolling him onto his back and reaching for the lube. She’s still good at helping her packmates relax in other ways too.

MAY-U - Ori x OC
Tumblr media
Ah, a bit of self-indulgent nonsense!
Characters: Ori x OC
Prompts: Bookshop - Chiropractor - Librarian - Two things can be true at the same time
Words: 2 200
Warnings: FTM character, slight nudity, massages, innuendo
Tumblr media
“Say, Charlie,” Fíli looked up from his beer with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. “Would you do me a favour?”
Charlotte, who only loathed her family’s nickname more than her actual, official name, narrowed her deep green eyes in instinctive suspicion before cocking her head inquisitively. “You can always ask. I still owe you one for letting me use your body for my anatomy study.”
“Abuse, you mean?” Fíli cackled and punched her shoulder playfully.
She’d known the young man for years and usually trusted him fully, but she’d witnessed the catastrophic consequences of his present facial expression once too often not to be wary of his next words.
“I’ve got this friend,” he started in his most melodious and persuasive voice, lifting his strong hands to nip her protest in the bud. “He’s been studying hard to become a librarian, and all these hours hunched over heavy books have left him with a sore neck.”
When she merely stared at him in wordless outrage, he chuckled. “He’s working in the little bookshop by the campus, and I’m sure he could get you a discount on that absurdly weighty tome of technical literature you’ve been eyeing!”
This gave Charlie pause; she’d been in that establishment more than once, but she couldn’t recall ever spotting a conspicuous hunchback on the premises. Then again, she was not actively paying attention to people when there were so many interesting and desirable books around.
“I’m a medical professional, not a masseuse,” she finally muttered. “And I’m not even licensed yet—I can’t go treating people willy-nilly.”
“Oh no,” Fíli exclaimed triumphantly. “This would be strictly non-professional. Really, it would be unethical of me to suggest otherwise.”
“So, he’s hot,” Charlie grunted as soon as she realised she’d blindly run right into the trap her friend had set for her without so much as earnestly trying to dissimulate it.
With a charming grin, Fíli shrugged. “Couldn’t say—I’m not into men. I don’t think there’s anything really wrong with him, so there is no need for you to deploy all your professional skills. See? No ethical dilemma—it’s just a little favour amongst friends.”
“That man—what’s his name?—is not my friend, though,” Charlie protested weakly, thinking of the book she desired so passionately and could not possibly afford.
“His name is Ori, and he could become your friend. I’ll tell him you’ll swing by—I’ll even throw in a pizza for the both of you to enjoy once the deep tissue massage is over.”
“You should have become a salesman,” Charlie grumbled but reluctantly agreed to present herself in the cosy bookshop the following day.
“You’re the best. I promise you won’t regret it,” Fíli cheered, pressed a resounding kiss onto her cheek, and sauntered out of the small pub without paying his tab.
Tumblr media
Ori kept glancing at the door as if he expected Death personified to stroll in at any moment.
Ever since Fíli had ambushed him at closing time the previous day, he’d been in a state of high alert that did nothing for his already painfully tense neck and shoulder muscles.
Toying with a bookmark absent-mindedly, the future librarian wondered whether all Fíli’s friends were de facto worried whenever he declared that he had an “idea”. At first, the promise of a free massage had sounded too good to be true—Ori knew that he was in desperate need of a bit of relaxation—but, only too soon, that fleeting sense of nascent ease had dissolved in a surge of paralysing panic.
“Did you tell your friend…You know…?” he’d squeaked, dreading whatever answer Fíli could have given.
“I’ve told Charlie that it would not be a professional chiropractor session, so there was no ethical dilemma impeding the obtainment of a license in the future,” Fíli had grinned. “Just a little kneading between friends!”
“You know exactly what I mean! What did you say about me?”
“Nothing! I want it to be a surprise. We’re friends, after all, and all my friends deserve good things!”
“I am not a good thing!” Ori had exclaimed, throwing his hands in the air helplessly.
“To Charlie, you will be. Now shut up and don’t look a gift horse in the mouth!”
The mere insinuation that he was being ungrateful had had a chilling effect on Ori, and so, he had simply done as he’d been told and kept his mouth shut.
Only 10 more minutes until closing time, he now thought nervously as his eyes flew to the clock once more. Maybe, that mysterious friend would not show up after all. No doubt, Fíli’s college buddies had better things to do than to go dispensing much-needed healing interventions—free of charge moreover—to random bookworms they’d never met.
And then, the bell over the door jingled and a young woman strode in, her curly hair tousled by the wind and her round cheeks flushed with colour.
Ori’s heart sank.
“Oh Fíli, you ass,” she cursed under her breath as she approached the counter with unwavering determination.
Ori, who’d always felt so safe behind the solid wood, all of a sudden couldn’t shake the sensation of being woefully exposed on the small dais, akin to a sacrificial lamb about to meet its bloody demise.
“You must be Ori,” she said in lieu of a proper greeting. “How come I’ve never seen you around? Surely, I should have…”
“You’re a girl,” Ori replied sheepishly. “Fíli didn’t say…He let me believe…”
“Righto!” She threw her head back and laughed, wishing Fíli to hell for playing wicked games with his so-called friends’ emotions. “I’m Charlie, and I’ve been told that you needed a neck massage.”
“Charlie,” Ori replied softly, the wheels in his head clicking softly into place. He knew her—of course, he did.
The small, curvy woman had come in several times in the last few weeks to look at one specific book, and he’d often wondered whether he should simply offer to use his employee discount for her to purchase it. Ori knew they’d never sell the blasted thing at full price anyway; it was much too expensive and heavy, and the internet had made it patently obsolete.
“Do you want the book?” he asked as if he’d not heard or processed her very clear explanation for her presence in the shop.
“No, well yes, but not now…You’re almost off, aren’t you? Do you live far? I don’t think that you’d want to do this at your workplace, would you?” Charlie bit her lip nervously, blinking rapidly when Ori only stared at her, dumbfounded, instead of answering.
"Very close, actually. I have…I rent the flat upstairs, so…Do you really want to do that?”
No, Charlie thought, but she’d given her word to Fíli, and she was not the kind of woman to flake even if she was aware that she’d been tricked mercilessly. She’d not grant her friend the satisfaction of having cowed her so easily!
Ori, as she had secretly suspected, was exactly her type—pale and doe-eyed, he had the elfin charm of a porcelain doll and hair shimmering in all the shades of a midnight bonfire.
Few were the people who knew that Charlotte, her parents’ perfect princess, was both astoundingly indiscriminate when it came to the gender of her partners and laughably partial to gingers.
Fíli, of course, was one of those rare chosen ones who were all too aware of that particular proclivity of hers, and a part of her resented him ferociously for having hidden away a rare beauty like Ori all this time.
“Better late than never,” she muttered to herself as she watched Ori lock the register hastily and turn down the lights.
From his reduced range of motion and frequent wincing, she could deduce that Fíli had indeed been right in his layman’s diagnosis, and her professional pride was awakened at once.
Even though they all agreed that it would be better for her not to deploy any overly technical manoeuvres, she couldn’t help but think that a proper deep tissue massage would do wonders for the poor wretch.
“You know that for this to work, you’ll need to relax sooner or later, right?” she teased gently when Ori gestured at the small, squeaking door leading to the backroom jerkily.
The small “hmph” sound that escaped her host as he climbed the rickety stairs stiffly ahead of her made her smile instinctively, and she impetuously vowed that she’d make him unwind at all costs.
His flat turned out to be so small that they walked through the door and right into his crowded living room, and Charlie breathed in the warm, dusty air greedily as if she could learn more about the enthralling tenant through mere inhalation.
“Erm, do you need anything?” Ori asked, kneading his fingers fitfully as he tried to push a pair of worn sneakers under the couch with his heel. “A drink or…”
“A flat surface,” Charlie replied calmly. “If possible one that is accessible from every side…and a lemonade, if you have one.”
She’d only added the last part to give him the illusion of control, and she suppressed another grin when he dashed into the adjoining kitchen right away.
Oh yes, Fíli would definitely pay for this!
Listening to the clinking of glassware and the thump of a fridge door being opened and closed, Charlie assessed the cramped living room. If she half-converted the rickety sofa bed, she could push aside the coffee table and walk around the furniture with ease…she had to keep herself distracted, lest she dwell too long and too intensely on the endearingly wavering smile or the deep, dark eyes of her unwitting host.
“Here we are,” Ori spoke behind her and handed her a promotional glass with another heart-wrenching smile that made her shiver with joyful anticipation of she knew not what exactly. “I can give you every discount in the system for the book; I’m sure we can bring it down to an almost reasonable price!”
He was sweet, Charlie realised, and that alone made her all but forget about the blasted volume of wisdom, slumbering in the fragrant darkness downstairs.
“Let me earn it,” she purred, feeling for her bag across the mutilated couch. “Why don’t you take off your sweatshirt? You’re not allergic to arnica or mint, right?”
Ori shook his head but didn’t undress.
“There is something you need to know,” he murmured, visibly ill at ease. “Fíli should have told you, really, but…”
Beneath his wispy beard, his face filled with colour, and Charlie gripped her bag tighter to keep her hands from reaching out to dip her fingers into that entrancing pool of blossoming pink.
She nodded encouragingly.
“I was not…My biological sex does not correspond to my gender identity,” he said firmly, belying the tension in his shoulders and the quiver in his lower lip. “But I am a man!”
“Two things can be true at the same time,” Charlie replied in her most professional tone. “As it is, I might also need a towel, please. I will not ask you to take off any more than your sweatshirt if you’re not comfortable with that, but I need to have access to your shoulders. We usually cover the chest area of people with breasts.”
“Oh, they’re not worth the hassle,” Ori chuckled nervously. “So, I just wanted you to know…in case that changes things for you.”
“Other than me asking for a towel, not really. Why would it?” Charlie was genuinely confused. “Right. You’re only here as a favour to Fíli…I didn’t mean to imply anything improper…I’m sorry!”
“You’re cute,” Charlie interrupted his self-conscious waffling resolutely. “Fíli knew precisely what he was doing.”
She grabbed him by the shoulders, digging her fingers into the tense muscle tentatively, and looked him in the eye. “It changes nothing. Now, let’s start before I forget myself!”
Her breathy confession seemed to embolden Ori considerably, for he tore off his woollen sweater in one fluid motion and tossed it aside.
“Sports bra! Sensible choice!” Charlie praised and motioned at the cleared sofa bed. “Lay down please.”
On account of her previous act of unsanctioned vandalism, she now could comfortably crouch over him for the first part of the massage and thus managed to apply enough pressure to work out the knots of compounded tension progressively.
“You should watch your posture!” Charlie muttered as she got up and walked around the piece of furniture to stand over her softly moaning new friend.
“Will you come back if I don’t?” he asked dreamily.
“I’ll come back if you ask me back,” she replied immediately. “I’d rather not see you in pain, though. Now close your eyes and enjoy!”
No matter what she’d said before, she had to admit that she was thoroughly enjoying this, and—even though her hands grew tired—she wished that this moment would never end.
“Charlie,” Ori whispered then. “As this is in no way a professional intervention, I can take off the bra, if…”
“Yes,” she said with unmistakable fervour, relieved that her unshakeable sense of professional ethics would not be compromised by whatever happened next. “Please!”

Massage For Relaxation - Holistico
Massage is a great treatment for relaxation and can be therapeutic as well. A good Massage  For Relaxation can help reduce muscle soreness, minor abrasions, and injuries. The massage works on the affected muscles, connective tissues, and ligaments to help reduce pain and soreness. It relaxes the body by targeting specific pressure points while gently stretching the muscles in order to provide an overall sense of well-being. A full-body massage is recommended for maximum relaxation benefits, as it targets all parts of the body that may be affected by muscle soreness or injury.
Massage therapy has been known to be a great way to help people relax and de-stress. Therapeutic massages are specifically meant to target muscle tension and pain. Deep tissue massage works deeper layers of muscles and tissues, while Swedish massage is more focused on relaxation. Massage therapy helps the body reach a state of relaxation by helping to decrease levels of stress hormones and increase endorphin production. The result is often great relief from muscle tension, which can lead to an overall sense of calmness and well-being both physically and mentally. Massage therapy not only helps you relax physically but can also have positive effects on your mental state by calming the mind, improving sleep quality, reducing stress levels, and promoting feelings of well-being overall.
Tumblr media
A good relaxation massage can help to increase blood circulation, reduce muscle tension, and make you feel more energized during the day. The sense of calmness that comes with massage therapy will also help improve your productivity in all aspects of your life. This is why having a regular massage for relaxation has become such a popular way to improve overall well-being.
It encourages fine chemical changes in the brain, and positive hormones have been released that help to reduce stress and anxiety levels. Massage also helps improve blood pressure while aiding relaxation throughout the entire body. Muscles can be worked individually or as a whole, reducing any pain or tension that may be present in certain areas of your body.
Massage can have both practical effects and be used as a powerful tool for relaxation therapy. Certain techniques are used in order to create a calming atmosphere for the patient, enabling them to achieve maximum benefits from the therapy. Specific health conditions may also be targeted by massage therapists in order to maximize the comfort levels of their patients. Therapists are able to use their knowledge and experience in order to create a plan that will effectively reduce pain or improve the overall health of an individual. It allows individuals of all ages to feel calm and relaxed after each session with a massage therapist.

Rating: T Ships: Gen/none Characters: Reigen Arataka, Hanazawa Teruki, Serizawa Katsuya (a little) Tags: Hurt/Comfort, Angst, Homophobia, Post-Canon (the kids are now in high-school) Words: 2,542 AO3: NormalCaptive
Warnings: This fic contains the aftermath of a homophobic attack.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was a surprisingly long Wednesday at Spirits & Such, where Serizawa and Reigen were just closing up for the day. Mob hadn't been there because he'd been getting more and more busy with school, but the vast majority of the time, the business survived with just Serizawa on his own, and it got better and better as he started getting a better grasp on controlling his powers so they didn't get the best of him.
Reigen was organizing his desk while Serizawa did the day's dishes from lunch and various tea sessions through the day as they vaguely chatted and were winding down for the evening.
It's strange that it had been such a long day. They were booked pretty much full, even with walk-in after walk-in, just over and over. Wednesdays usually weren't that busy for them, but this one seemed to come up out of the blue. Other than having to do all this extra work and being a lot more tired, however, Reigen was, of course, grateful for the extra business. The only thing the extra business was bad for was probably his body, from all the massages he did that day. It was like there was an epidemic of stiff shoulders and bad backs today, but thankfully, he was both a licensed masseuse and a licensed chiropractor, for some reason. Both of them were long processes, since each of these things can be incredibly dangerous, but after practicing the massages for so long, he figured that he should get a professional license in these things to give himself some more credibility.
However, the problem with being a masseuse is that his shoulders were often stiff. He tried to do stretches in the morning, but clearly it wasn't enough. He could never ask Serizawa to just rub his shoulders, that would be inappropriate, and therefore that leaves him only with having to pay for a professional job, which he's never gotten around to doing, but he's certainly thought about taking a spa day before--
Suddenly, the door to Spirits & Such had burst open and slammed shut, immediately snapping Reigen out of his thoughts. He hadn't locked the door?
From the cramped entrance, shaky breaths could be heard. It sounded like this person had been running.
This had obviously startled Serizawa and Reigen. Serizawa jumped quite harshly at the sound, subconsciously readying his psychic powers, while Reigen leaned in forward, trying to see who had just burst in without standing up.
Serizawa had the best view, and his voice was deeply confused when he saw who had just ran through the door.
"Hanazawa?" Serizawa said. Reigen cocked a brow and got up.
This was weird. What was Hanazawa Teruki doing here at this time of day? Surely not for any good reason, something had to be wrong.
Reigen walked over to the entrance way, and saw Hanazawa where he was pressed against the door, head down with his now short hair covering a lot of his face. He panted from the exertion of running for who knows how long, beads of sweat dripping down from his face.
"Hanazawa?" Reigen repeated his employee's question from earlier. "Is everything alright?" Serizawa still felt awkward around the gaggle of teenagers that liked to hang out at the office and wasn't entirely sure how to handle them, so he left it to Reigen to figure out what was going on, and trusted him to let him know if it was something serious. He went back to washing the dishes, albeit a bit more stiffly than before, keeping an ear out.
Hanazawa pulled his head up, but didn't meet Reigen's eyes.
Regien's eyes widened.
He had bruises and shallow cuts on his face, most notably one especially dark bruise under his eye and a busted lip. Reigen then noticed the sorry state of his high school uniform, covered in dirt and grass stains that might take forever to get out properly. The look on Hanazawa's face was one Reigen knew well. He'd seen it on his own face too many times.
Shame.
"What happened to you?" Reigen asked bluntly, though his tone wavered in a clearly worried manner.
Hanazawa didn't answer.
Reigen got the idea that he didn't want to talk about it, so he decided he wasn't going to pressure him into it if he didn't want to. Whatever this was, it seemed like it had messed him up badly and he needed time to process before talking about it.
"C'mon, let's get you cleaned up." Reigen said, in a much gentler tone.
Right next to the entrance of the office was a bathroom door, so Reigen opened the door and nodded his head into it. Hanazawa followed, silent and hesitant.
Thankfully, Reigen had a first aid kit in the office bathroom, so he pulled it out and grabbed some of the alcohol pads to start cleaning up the cuts and scrapes on his face.
Hanazawa winced, then relaxed into the touch, as Reigen took alcohol pads and tissues and bandages to his injuries. His hand was gentle and patient as Hanazawa flinched at the pain, his face taut and focused.
"They weren't ESPers." Hanazawa said quietly. Reigen cocked a brow. "So that's why you didn't fight back much." He said. Hanazawa nodded. "Thought, maybe, I could talk my way out of it like you or Mob, but these people didn't care." His voice wavered. Reigen's face softened.
"What did they want from you?" Reigen asked.
Hanazawa's eyes shifted downward, his lips forming a thin line. "I don't know what they wanted." He said. Reigen got that this wasn't the full picture, but he didn't know what to ask. However, he didn't need to, because Hanazawa hesitantly continued.
"But I know why they did it." His voice wavered more, and his brow furrowed, and his shameful face continued to not meet Reigen's. Reigen stayed silent, not pushing, waiting for Hanazawa to continue on his own. He just tended to the boy's wounds, applying a gel to his bruises that would help with pain and swelling.
"They did it because I'm- they know I'm-" He struggled to get the sentence out. Even to Reigen, one of the only adults in his life that he trusted, he still struggled to say it out loud.
Reigen had a feeling he knew what was about to come out of Hanazawa's mouth. It's not like you needed to be a rocket scientist to figure it out, but still, most people didn't naturally assume this about other people. Reigen's face twisted up in a knowing kind of hurt as his heart shattered for the kid. He hesitated with putting the gel on this next bruise as Hanazawa gathered the courage to tell Reigen, even after what he went through today.
"They did it because I'm gay." Hanazawa said. His voice was quiet and drenched with unearned shame.
Reigen tried not to tear up as his own memories came back to him. He had to stay strong. This kid needed someone like him. Reigen didn't have anyone when he was Hanazawa's age, but now was the chance to prevent this kid from going down similar paths as him during his youth. This was his chance to tell Hanazawa everything that nobody told him when he was the same age.
"So am I, kid." Reigen said, putting his hands on Hanazawa's shoulders. The boy before him tensed and looked up, eyes wide.
"Hanazawa--"
"Teru."
"Teru, I need you to listen to me." Reigen's own voice shook a little, imbued with his own pain. "I can't tell you that it won't happen again, or that it's not going to get worse." Teru's expression was a painful mixture of guilt and realization as he looked into Reigen's eyes. "But what I can tell you, is that you're going to be okay." Teru gave Reigen a look of desperation and exhaustion, like he was struggling to believe it was true.
"The world is a lot better than it was when I was young. It's not perfect, but it's getting better, and for your own sake, you've got to believe in that. You can't spend all your time thinking about how much the world hates people like us, you'll lose yourself in it." Reigen looked like he was hesitating to say something.
"Eventually, you'll learn who you can and can't talk to about it. It's difficult to tell a lot of the time, but eventually, you get a knack for it. But sometimes there will be times you'll have to learn the hard way." Reigen looked deeply into Teru's eyes. The pain in Reigen's eyes made Teru feel like Reigen was showing him his own future, trying to prepare him for it so it wouldn't hurt as badly.
"I left home not much older than you." Reigen started telling a story, and took his hands off of Teru's shoulders. "I wasn't even eighteen yet. My parents just didn't understand, and they refused to, so I left. I lived in a dingy apartment by myself, and when I wasn't working at my part-time job at the gas station, I was on the street, learning to scam people out of as much money as I could possibly squeeze from their wallets with what little I knew." Reigen looked down, guilt evident on his face and in his shoulders as he gave a sardonic laugh.
"It was there I met a man, his name was Hano. He saw me on the street, and took me in. He taught me card tricks, pick-pocketing, fast talk, hand gestures, the like. He really took me in." Reigen's face didn't look very fond when talking about these memories. "But one time, he caught me." Reigen's voice caught on itself and cracked. His hand reached up to gently touch an old, circular scar on his neck, right below his jawline, a few centimeters from his earlobe.
Teru had never seen Reigen like this before. He wasn't confident and charismatic, now. He sat, hunched over himself with his hands in his lap as he looked downward. He wasn't as big as he normally tried to make himself. Now he looked small, helpless, and riddled with shame.
"He beat me pretty badly." Reigen said shortly, looking up at Teru with an unreadable expression, a strangely slight grin on his face. "But somehow, the only scar he left on me was this one." He pointed to it directly.
"That was one of the worst beatings I ever got."
It dawned on Teru what exactly Reigen had been through, and what he was trying to tell him.
"But you know what?" Reigen said, perking up a little as he got himself out of his own memories, grabbing Teru's hand. "You have an advantage that I didn't." Teru's face twisted itself up. "You have psychic powers. You can fight back." Reigen's face was filled with this grief that Teru was only just beginning to understand himself. Reigen put his hands on Teru's shoulders again. "So promise me," He looked into Teru's eyes very intensely. "That you will fight back." His voice didn't waver this time.
"B-but they're just people-" Teru tried. He didn't understand. Reigen and Mob had always told him not to use his powers on other people, and the more that he didn't, the more he understood the life of a commoner, and what it was like to really be a person outside of his psychic powers. He didn't want to use his powers on people who couldn't fight back against them, it wasn't fair, he realized soon enough. But it's not like the guys that beat him up today were being fair to him either.
He just wanted to be able to get into normal high school fights with other boys his age without accidentally killing a civilian. He had incredible control over his power for someone his age, but he wasn't perfect. He didn't know how to use them actively against civilians without seriously harming them. He only knew how to fight other espers, where they could both withstand each other's power without severe injury.
"So are you." Reigen said simply.
There he goes again, trying to separate himself from other people on the basis of his psychic powers. That was one that he struggled to grasp the most. He tried not to, but he'd lived seeing himself as different, namely as more special, then more dangerous, than others that it was a difficult mindset to get out of.
"You know, before Kageyama came into my life, I would've had almost no trouble with beating up guys like that, bad enough to put them in the hospital, or even kill them on accident." Teru's face became soft. "Now that I realize the weight of my powers and the weight of hurting another person that badly, it's gotten really hard to think about doing that to a person who can't fight back, even if they're hurting me."
Reigen put a hand on his shoulder and gave him a slight smile. "That shows a lot of growth, kid. That's good."
"I think, sometime, I've got to show you how to throw a punch without psychic powers. I'm practically an expert, it's the only kind of punch I've ever thrown." Reigen gave a sly grin, trying to lighten the mood with some humor.
Teru didn't know the first thing about fighting without powers. He wasn't sure about form or stability or weak points when he fought relying on his psychic abilities. Most things are weak to intense psychic energy, even other psychics.
Teru gave a small smile at the promise. "Thanks." He said.
Serizawa knocked on the door gently.
"E-everything alright in there?" He asked from the other side.
Reigen and Teru gave different, but similar answers in unision.
"Yes-" "-Everything's okay."
Reigen stood up, holding his hand out to Teru as Serizawa cracked open the door.
"We were just talking about where we'd like to go for ramen. Want to come?" Reigen's ability to just say things on the spot never ceased to amuse Teru. Whether or not Serizawa could tell that Reigen wasn't telling the truth wasn't evident on his face, he just accepted the answer.
Serizawa gave a gentle smile. "Of course, let me grab my jacket." He said.
Reigen gave Teru a hopeful, but knowing look.
"If you ever need a place to stay, you're always welcome at mine, kid." Reigen said.
Teru pushed himself forward into Reigen's chest, giving him a tight hug.
Reigen was a little surprised at the action, but smiled into it, wrapping his arms around Teru's head and hugging him back just as tight.
"Thank you, Reigen."
Reigen saw just a little bit too much of his younger self in Teru for his own good. He wanted to keep this kid as safe as he could.
Teru let go, but just before they walked out of the bathroom, Reigen had one more thing to say.
"Keep your head held high, kid."
Teru, filled with a new kind of confidence, nodded. "Right." He said.
They walked out, finding Serizawa holding his own jacket, and having grabbed Reigen's, patiently waiting for them.
"So," He said, smiling softly. "Where are we headed?"
last week i saw a small card on the table that said "relaxing massage for ladies" with a phone number and that was literally it and i said "oh i didn't know they made business cards for human trafficking now" and my mom was like "no that's a real woman i spoke to her english is just real bad and she's a licensed masseuse in her home country" so i was like "mmkay let me make her some less scary business cards" so we got a little more info and now i will make her some less scary business cards
but looking at massage graphic design, bc i was thinking of doing some for my therapist also, is pretty much all cursed, so idk how good of a job it is possible to do
I am a decent amateur masseuse (never took a class, just instinct, so not licensed to practice or anything). And today I was massaging someone’s hands and ???? I did not know people’s hands could be that rock solid. I sat there for 20min digging my knuckles into the fat of the thumb trying to get circulation back in it. The guy’s fingers were barely bending from the muscle tension and pressure. He said it was from using a power washer at work but my gosh I was wondering if there was a medical condition worst condition I’ve ever seen for hands
