Peter Lorre in "Five Weeks in a Balloon" (1962)
Peter played Ahmed, a slave dealer.
Here's Peter with the awesome Billy Gilbert. (I love Billy Gilbert; he is also just as capable of stealing scenes. Watch him in "His Girl Friday." He has two tiny scenes and in the second one he made Cary Grant, king of the ad-libs, not only break character but be unable to say anything substantial during the elemental force that is Billy.)
"'From an actor’s viewpoint, the dealer wasn’t exactly an endearing character,' wrote screenwriter Charles Bennett. 'Yet in spite of his viciousness, Peter immediately established himself as "Mr. Adorable" and remained so until the movie’s fade out. Looking back, I’m not sure that the screenplay intended it that way.'" - The Lost One: A Life of Peter Lorre
Here's a close-up of Mr. Adorable:
Aw. Peter. Somebody bring this man into a nice, cool room (with dinner and a recliner).
Peter with Fabian and Red Buttons:

That stare!
Well. Even though they're calling him Mr. Adorable, I'm still hesitating about seeing this movie.
While you can always see glimpses of the Peter that was, the beautiful eyes, the furrowed brow, the way he angles his body, I personally find it hard to watch his films when I know he was in ill health, or unhappy, or just plain underserved by the damn plot. And in these later films, he was so often all three.
It's 100% to his credit that he could bring his spark, himself, to even the dullest of roles during this time.
"I think he missed his calling. He had a fantastic sense of humor, a comedy in his attitude that he carried along with him, a nonchalant attitude. He was a very iconoclastic person. I think they misused his talents. Had he been given the opportunity, he would have been known as a first-rate comedic talent. No doubt about it." - Red Buttons

Professor Fenton of Gotham University.
Cutest Dani with Papa Professor/Teacher Danny, who is teaching history at Gotham University.
(As he can just meet historical people in the ghost zone.)
+
After the years did go by, Danny was able to do better with his enemies; he was a teacher! Ghost Writer and Clockworks fault + small but of Mr. Lancer, and in the Zone he was able to meet historical figures pretty easily.
+
That was how Danny became the youngest professor in the US with his master's thesis in history.
And then he became a professor in Gotham; his students weren't sure how to feel about a teacher their age or younger.
But ironically, he was the best teacher they ever had at the university! So people had no problem.
And Danny showing off his baby girl, Dani, is fun for him too!
Hey, the job makes sure his daughter Dani can go to the university for free in the future.
And his students really like Dani!
+
Adult Danny and Ellie
Look i had before me.
(Manhwa:" male lead's little lion daughter)
And Cassandra Cain was a pretty good person who spent time with Dani.
When she visits the University for Tim, she found Dani.. And kind of forgot she wanted to visit Tim.
+
Wayne Manor
Tim:" I fear my professor will become my brother-in-law."
+Extra+
Archaeologists:" I dreamed and worked my whole life to find a book handwritten by Shakespeare!"
Professor! Danny: " I have like 3 of them and gave 1 to my teacher for an A+ in history and English for the rest of the year. Man, Mr. Lancer did cry for like 2 weeks after that."
+
And to the Archaeologist's horror, it's really an original one. They found Mr. Lancer of Amity Park, who proudly showed them the book.
So many historians and Archaeologist don't leave Danny alone; they know he has a lot of things like that but no idea where he hides them!

As they talk, Leraye seems to find a comfortable grip on the back of the horse and starts dragging it back and forth across the table, wood skidding on wood.
"...Who was her father?" he asks slowly.
"I don't know. I never got his name. We met at a tavern."
"In Fhirdiad?"
"Hm...maybe?" Byleth says. Then, "Oh."
"He was blond, I suppose?"
Her eyes fixed on his, Byleth nods. "He was."
"Caught up in his own troubles? Stumbled out afterwards without so much as asking for your name?"
"Something like that," Byleth murmurs. She's pulled Leraye protectively into her lap, but she's watching him with curiosity. Interest.
A Closer Look by Ammeh
LERAYE IS BACK 🙌
I am a big sucker for Long biblical fics but this 1.7 k words fic is so tasty and short I can eat up like candy anytime, anywhere, not much time invested and it's perfect. Living in my mind and heart since 2023 🫰. And of course, had to draw these scenes that has been haunting me since that year And tbh I am not done yet LOL I NEED TO DRAW MOOORE
Attaching the whole page to show the references used for this practice.
My original ideas were slightly different in color settings, but I went with the vibrant colors of the references in the end because i can't make bold decisions T__T (and also i love using EVERY COLOR / I struggle using a limited color pallet tbh C': ).
