I make WC content and I do follow you plus I have made a post about Bi Lesbians (although I was really trying to stay neutral there even though I do support the use of the term cause man, people just trying to define themselves and what else you gonna call mspec lesbians or fspec [is that a term?] gays, idk) and I- I need to see if I'm on there, I don't think I'm popular enough to be known but I have to know if I'm on there I don't want to be on there dude.

Fun facts with red because some people (specifically the pinterest peeps but I'll put this there another day) don't understand the mspec:

Bisexual just means attraction to 2+ genders. That can be 2 or all. Poly, pan, and omni people could fit under bisexual if they so desired and some do identify as polybi, bipan, omnibi, etc. However, bisexual sometimes has connotations of "men and women only" and also sometimes feels too nonspecific, so many poly/omni/pan people don't identify with bisexual even though they could technically count under it and that's valid. Some bi people also could reasonably fit under poly, pan, or omni but are more familiar with the bi label/like it more/are older and feel connected to it due to it being such a historical label and that's valid as well. Some people just identify as multisexual because they feel they aren't connected to any of the main 4 mspec labels, and some people identify with an obscure mspec microlabel because they don't even think bi/pan/poly/omni are specific enough. Some people use a multitude of mspec labels because of overlap

Mspec identity discourse should never be "here are the specific distinctions these 4 are completely different and never overlap" nor should it be "these are all essentially bi and just microlabels of bi" we can and should acknowledge that there's lots of overlap with them without invalidating the people who only identify with one. We can and should acknowledge that each label does have some differences without invalidating the people who identify with more than one.

Hello, I Made An Updated Version Of The Polysexual Flag!

the pink stripes represent:

queer love

arospec and acespec and polyamorous polysexuals

attraction to many, but not all genders

the white stripe represents:

transgender, genderqueer, nonbinary, and otherwise cisn't polysexuals

and the dusty lavender stripes represent:

defiance against heteronormativity, allonormativity, cisnormativity

defiance against monosexism

solidarity with other multisexuals

lavender and pink were chosen as the primary colors because of their significant history in the queer community and how it represents love respectively; I specifically chose that shade of pink as it was the first stripe of the OG polysexual flag

my reasoning for making a replacement was to make a polysexual flag that is more accessible and has more meaning for our community, as I felt the OG polysexual lacked both of these things as the flags meaning isn't all to different than the pansexual flag + it's design causes many people including myself eyestrain

for @eldritchsquid! the flag uses colors from the mspec and mono- flags, and the term combines 'multi', 'mon' from 'mono', 'ntra' from 'contra' (in the sense of 'contrasting'), + 'spec'!

flag id: a flag with 7 stripes. in order, they are purple, green, soft orange, golden yellow, dark grey, very dark grey, and black. end id.

Amative Orientation Pride Flag

Amative orientations: any orientation that dooes not describe the gender(s) one is or is not attracted to, but instead describe how one experiences attraction. Eg. conditional/circumstantial/situational asexuality (demisexuality, fraysexuality...), partial aromanticism (mesi/grey aromantic...), null platonicity (suptilic aplatonicism...), refero-, chameleo-, etc.

Affinitive Orientation Pride Flag

Affinitive or affectional orientations: any orientations that describe which gender(s) one is or is not attracted to. Eg. multi-, mono-, juvelic terms.

Not every orientation is inherently this or the other, but they are useful umbrella terms. Sometimes they are intertwined, other times some may emphasize one over another, questioning and undefined people may don't know which one they have, amplusic (fluid/flux/flex) people may navigate through both and other possibilities.
