So, despite forgetting your pen, how did the movies go? Were they great?

They WERE great! I've never seen any of the Planet of the Apes films before, so a group of us decided to try to watch them all. I managed to watch the entire original five and the first of the reboots before I gave up and I was genuinely shocked by how much I liked them?

I went in expecting not to be that into it (hence trying to bring my pen tablet) but I was actually engrossed the whole time. Well, besides for the reboot, that felt like Generic Action Movie #8, but the five originals? An absolute blast! They basically changed genres every single movie which is the coolest thing for a long franchise, it kept it really fresh! Classic Camp Scifi > Post-Apocalyptic Nuclear Age > Sitcom > Grunge Rebellion > Community Building Survival

(my favourite was the third because i didn't expect to get Time-Traveling Chimpanzees From Outer Space: The Sitcom and honestly it was the best thing i have ever seen)

grim being a selfish brat is the point of his character arc. when you're told to claw for your survival in a prestigious yet hostile magical academy, when you're told that the weak must obey the strong, of course you're going to make use of what little advantages are given to you. that means demanding your henchman to do your every bidding and taking any opportunity to prove your strength.

kindness, consideration, compassion, empathy - they don't have a place in NRC. or so it seems.

the great thing about him starting the story with an obnoxious and abrasive personality is in how he awkwardly navigates his first ever friendships. in the sweetness of the rare scene where kinship just clicks for him, where his boasts and complaints become banter, where he feels like he gets to belong, to have a home.

and there's something deeply tragic about grim too, the fact that he's going to be left alone when yuu returns to their original world. what will happen to his student status? will he have to move out of the ramshackle dormitory? can he make it through his studies without you at his side?

when the first person who gave you kindness leaves, what are you supposed to do? will you say goodbye or will you fight to keep them?

everyday i think about the shit mute mcs qill go through. because even with accommodations, and people learning, there will always be certaim situations where not having a voice will probably put them at a disadvantage and how fucking FRUSTRATING that will be.

Oh, yes. You will start to see it in the next update (there is a whole scene completely different for mute MCs). For now, MC mostly met the ROs who had made the effort to learn sign language, but the vast majority in Camelot won't be the same way.

That is why, if your MC is mute, Gwyar will go with you during most official meetings and will generally spend much more time by your side.

I know the fairy princess option does, but do any other career paths keep us from fully triggering the Mute option?

I can't seem to get the "you have yet to say a word" on the stat page like usual, even though I haven't spoken. The only difference in this playthrough is I chose paramedic, for the first time.

The only (real) career that removes the mute flag is the news reporter as they're explicitly talking during their broadcasts. Paramedic should definitely be playable without talking

The "You have yet to say a word" part of the Stat Page should be there by default at the start of the game. So if you keep checking back there now and again, it should indicate which option might be removing the mute flag.

If it seems that some option is turning off the mute flag that shouldn't be (or isn't properly warning ahead of time that it might be doing so), please let me know.

I don't normally share mcs for games but Slasher Squad really has my brain rotting over my own slasher ocs which is awesome because my gal works so well for this game.

My girlies name is Ophelia Bates, Ophie for short but she'd probably go under the name Dead Meat just for the game. She's originally the daughter of a backalley/black market surgeon that made Ophie his protégé before he was arrested. She kinda flounders around as an organ stealer for organization but mainly focuses on body disposal and scene clean up for the sake of this game. She's just such a tiny creepy little goth chick that likes medical horror and cutting open bodies. She's also selectivity mute so I'm so thankful and happy this game finally had the option. Great game BTW I can't wait for more
