Everything You Need to Know About Intel Rapid Storage Technology
In enterprise and business settings, reliability, speed, and data security are of the utmost importance. That's where technologies such as Intel Rapid Storage Technology (Intel RST) and Intel vPro enter the scene. Together, they can assist IT administrators in handling systems more securely and efficiently.
But how, exactly, do they work together? Let's keep it simple.
What Is Intel RST?
Intel Rapid Storage Technology enables systems to handle multiple storage drives more efficiently. It provides:
Faster access to data
RAID configuration support
Enhanced system performance
Higher storage reliability
What is Intel vPro?
Intel vPro is a business computer platform. It features:
Remote management
Advanced security
Stability and performance
It assists IT organizations in managing and protecting systems even in the absence of physical presence.
Intel RST and Intel vPro's Synergy
When Intel RST is paired with Intel vPro, it brings value to enterprise systems in several ways:
1. Remote RAID Configuration
IT admins are able to remotely install or restore RAID volumes with Intel RST through Intel vPro. This is particularly useful in the case of big business PC networks.
2. Reduced Time to Solve Issues
When a hard drive crashes, Intel RST notifies the system, and Intel vPro allows IT teams to act quickly, remotely, even to avoid data loss.
3. Improved Data Protection
Intel RST with RAID secures sensitive business information, while vPro ensures the system remains secure and manageable at all times.
4. Smarter Deployment
Businesses tend to deploy numerous systems simultaneously. Using vPro and RST, IT administrators can pre-configure storage parameters and push them across machines with ease.
Why It Matters for Enterprises

You know those old AUs where Dabi/Touya trained at the HPSC?
That, but with Natsuo.
Losing both his brother and mother leads Natsuo to have a mental break, resulting in a stress mutation of his quirk. Makes it stronger; currently thinking his ice becomes unmeltable, and certain parts of his body turn completely into ice, such as his arms and jaw. He can regrow the ice and change its formation on his body. The HPSC already had an interest in Endeavor's children, but only after this incident are they able to get their hands on one of them.
He's not the same as Hawks; the commission doesn't own him, it's more of a "boarding school" type thing, and after he becomes a Hero, he's only so on paper. He doesn't have an agency, doesn't patrol, is mostly unknown. He doesn't assassinate people like Lady Nagant and Hawks, they keep his business mostly legal. He's just,,, a hero working specifically and directly for the Commission, called in on certain raids or jobs as the HPSC sees fit.
Outside of that though, he tries to have a normal life. Moves out at 18, attends college, keeps his civilian and hero identities separate. He doesn't have many connections in the hero world; everyone knows he's a Commission plant.
Anyway. Just something i'm thinking really hard of rn. Will probably do some art later
#bnha#mha#boku no hero academia#my hero academia#todoroki natsuo#hero public safety commission#bnha au#mha au#i dont keep up w the manga or anime idc abt being canon compliant#just something im rotating on my mind rn#natsuo doesnt wanna be a hero. he doesnt have any particular motives or anything driving him. but what choice does he have?#he fucking hates the HPSC. he just knows better than to tell them and risk losing everything#the threats are indirect and vague rn and hed rather keep them like that :)#id imagine the HPSC would want some heroes who directly report to them#and hawks has an agency and fans and patrol and stuff#they cant just throw him at whatever investigation or raid they want to keep an eye on#which is what natsuo is for#this could be a very good setup for natshig...

I used to understand rankcism in gbf raids. Then this happened to me today and frankly I don't give a shit anymore
Genuinely. What. This isn't even like a one time thing, the previous raid before this also had max rank leechers. This raid is a complete and utter mess in every single way, and somehow it manages to be worse because of how really poor drop rates incentivize just leeching and gambling on chests.
Utter travesty of a raid.
#unma rambles#gbf#the only reason I could clear this raid was because I am using the most defensive setup possible#AND REVIVES#I run through five characters all with revives just to BARELY carry the raid to completion with two other people#and here I thought I should've just switched back to using a damage focused one for speed#nevermind I guess

got one chapter in. it took 45 minutes ✌️
#in fairness the raid chapter is REALLY good#right after 62 too ugh#side note but gay witch obsessed w a priest trying to kill him + his inexplicably scantily clad female sidekick is so funny to me#why is she naked all the time!!!! anyway they're genuinely close to each other and support each other it's sweet#well. verge is less into her than she's into him. but he clearly cares about her#and she trained him!#I knowwww it's kind of a misogynist setup bc she has such less in terms of characterization or backstory or narrative weight#but I like them I think they're fun...#im going to miss char so bad rip. I mean she's not dead. but someone else is :D#mtefil lb

Back in party finder for the new ffxiv chaotic raid.
It will never cease to astound me at how many people just *Refuse* to read party descriptions.
#final fantasy xiv#ffxiv raiding#wol is rambling#which is Wolvix not Warrior of light lmao#but seriously how hard is it to just skin through a raid plan during setup/waiting for members#the prog liers are their own thing but at least they know where they are *supposed* to be#I’ve seen too many people either not using the right raid plan or who obviously did not look more than two slides in#and are being assholes about it#it’s wild to me#I’d never have that much overconfidence to be so numb to information

TrueNAS SCALE Server Build for Home Lab
TrueNAS SCALE Server Build for Home Lab #homelab #virtualization #TrueNASSCALEHomeServer #HomeServerSetup #DebianLinuxServer #RAIDConfiguration #FileSharingServer #MediaStreamingServer #HomeAutomationHub #NetworkSecurity #ServerHardwareUpgrades #selfhost
There are so many options for running a home server for storage and virtualization needs on a home network. I have run VMware ESXi and Proxmox servers for my virtualization needs for the past few years now. However, until recently, I only ran TrueNAS inside a virtual machine for testing and a few light-duty applications. A project I wanted to tackle was repurposing one of my SuperMicro mini…

can i please just get an ursaring/ursaluna massive mass outbreak spawn that leads into an alpha horde already so that way i can suffer and die when i go through all possible permutations of the spawns without finding a shiny
#i practiced earlier to make sure i had the method down on a growlithe horde. and i got a shiny alpha growlithe!#i was also just fucking bored and wanted to get something cool already#i am now in actual focus mode where i'm not bothering with other pokemon at all. please. i just want a cool bear for raids in SV#but i do big fear that like. i will finally get the setup and yet still not be able to get a shiny due to bad luck or something#or bad luck being that i get a fucking teddiursa first round which would! be not great. because it's much harder to battle those!#*new creative post tag here*#ok back to hunting and watching videos instead of whining.#this post probably makes no sense to some people. good you don't want to understand it trust me#the youtube video i watched to make sure i was doing this method right literally had the guy say like.#i don't recommend this shiny hunting method because i do not think it is fun

“We’ve secured the suspected meta.”
“Copy that. Red Hood, do you have eyes on the last of them?”
“Not yet, but I’m pretty sure she’s in this apartment.”
Several months ago a group of unpredictable rogues had popped up in Gotham. Nothing unusual for the city, other than they appeared to be a group of teenagers who were both criminals and heroes. Stolen goods of various types ranging from common camping supplies, food, and clothing, to an odd assortment of medical supplies and technology. Assaulted police, other heroes and vigilantes given the slip. And yet there were also many criminals dealt with that hero teams couldn’t account for who was responsible. The main lead they had gotten was the suspected meta human. A girl with white hair that could fly, phase through walls, and various other super human feats. She had been the first lead they could latch onto, and from there they had built profiles on the other three. The oldest girl appeared to be in her late teens, another girl just a few years younger, a boy the same age as the second girl, and then the metahuman, younger than all of them. They had been more of a curiosity than a serious threat. Until they had stolen something from the wrong people and painted a target on their heads. Now they were in a cross between a rescue and capture mission as the team only known as The Phantoms were being raided by pissed off crooks.
The three youngest had already been caught by the rest of the team sent by Batman, it was only the eldest girl that remained. And unless Tim could pull off a miracle Jason only had ten minutes to find her before the planted bomb destroyed the building they’d been hiding in.
With Barbara’s help he and a few of the others had searched the entire apartment building, checking each room for the remaining Phantom and placing eyes where they’d been to make sure she didn’t give them the slip and run to somewhere they’d already been. Jason had just slammed through the front door of one more apartment when he’d answered Barbara’s question, a scattering of food wrappers in a trash pile, a small cook top, sleeping areas, and other items for basic needs betraying recent habitation. It was a good hint that this was where the Phantoms had stationed, especially with the scrabbled together computer workstation setup off to one side.
There were only three other doors in the apartment, and Jason moved to the first one quickly. A closet near the front door. Empty. A bathroom across from the front room. Also empty. Which meant the last room, the bedroom, had to be where she was, if she was there.
Jason flung the door open and promptly caught the crowbar that was swung at his face, accompanied by a near frantic screech from the girl he’d been looking for
“Got her,” Jason announced to the comms, deftly yanking the crowbar out of the girl’s hands and tossing it to the side. “Begin evacuation, I’ll be out in - ….. Shit.”
As Jason spoke to Barbara and the rest of the team he decidedly ignored the girl’s demands for him to get out, having to block a fist thrown his way. He’d noticed she was obviously distressed, tears marking her dirty cheeks and a fierce glare directed his way. It wasn’t unexpected considering she was the last of her team they didn’t have in custody; she must have felt any myriad of emotions ranging from despair at failing to fear that they would hurt her. Yet Jason quickly noticed something that made him cuss mid report, and realize the girl's actions weren’t out of defiance, but protectiveness.
“There’s five of them,” Jason reported, finger pressing to his comm and eyes locked onto the new figure that hadn’t been part of any of their intel. And for a good reason. The lad was unconscious on a cot, one of the stolen items in the team’s list, and he didn’t look good. If it weren’t for the shallow, shuddering breaths from him Jason would have thought he were already dead, his skin ghastly pale other than fever flushed cheeks. “There’s another boy, heavily injured. I’m bringing them both out, have someone standing by.”
“DON’T TOUCH HIM!”
Of course the girl heard his report, and renewed her efforts to fight Jason, blocking him from reaching the fifth member. They didn’t have time to converse gently though, and so Jason grabbed her arm and yanked her forward. “Listen! I’m not going to hurt you, I’m trying to rescue you. There’s a bomb! We have to get out of the building, and get him to a hospital.”
The girl was smart. Or at least not dumb enough to ignore Jason’s words completely, for she froze the moment he mentioned the bomb. “...What?” she asked, wide eyes locking onto him, daring him to trick her.
“Look, you guys trying to steal Lazarus water pissed off the wrong people. They planted a bomb, and my team and I are here to rescue you. We can talk about your crime runs later, alright?” Jason explained a little more, really not wanting to have to knock the girl out too just to get the two to a safe area if he could help it.
The way the girl’s eyes opened, a horrified gasp escaping her, told Jason she wasn’t a bad person. Or at least reinforced what their actions aside from theft had suggested. That was the reaction of someone who realized they’d made a mistake, and felt the weight bearing down from the mess that had been caused because of it. She stopped trying to fight Jason now, pulling away and rushing to the 5th member’s side, grabbing his limp arm and hooking it around her own shoulders to try and lift him up.
“Is he safe to move?” Jason asked, stepping forward to help. Even though the lad looked fairly small, he was still too heavy for the girl judging by how she was struggling to even get him upright. “His spine isn’t hurt? No broken bones?” he asked to clarify when the girl looked at him with a question half voiced.
“No. Nothing broken, just the-” she confirmed, cutting off when Jason reached forward and effortlessly scooped the frail teen up.
“Hold onto my back. We’re going that way,” Jason directed, ignoring the way she tensed, holding herself back from demanding he not touch her friend, and nodding towards the window.
“WhAT?” the girl sputtered, hands jerking as she internally wrestled with being obedient to him or her own sense of self preservation.
“We’re out of time. Just grab on,” Jason half snapped, roughly kicking the window to shatter the glass, twisting his frame to shield the lad in his arms as well, just in case. “One minute,” he added, repeating what Barbara announced in his comms to reinforce his directions.
It was enough. Pursing her lips and giving a soft whimper the girl rushed forward to throw her arms around his shoulders from behind, clinging to him with a death grip. Jason wished he had a better way to carry both of them, but he hadn’t been expecting there to be two of them in the first place. So he could only hope the girl’s grip was strong enough to hang on as he shot a zip line towards where the others were gathered. After getting the other end secured to the building they were in, Jason latched the clip on the rope and swung over the fire escape, curling his legs up to make sure the lad he was carrying had plenty of support. He could hear a muffled, drawn out squeak from the girl on his back, but didn’t comment.
“Wh- Ja- DANNY! LET HIM GO YOU-” the mid teenage girl caught sight of them first, snarling and trashing against her restraints when she saw who Jason had. Cass refused to let her go though, pulling her back to kneeling and considering pushing her down further if necessary. She didn’t get to finish her protests though.
“HEADS DOWN!” Dick shouted after Barbara announced a second to detonation, and those who had capes were throwing them over their targets and each other, hunching over to bodily protect them from the cascades of blasts ripping through the apartment building the Phantoms had been stationed in. They were far enough away that they shouldn’t get hurt from the collapsing rubble, but there was still the possibility of smaller debris getting thrown at them. So they remained huddled on the ground a safe distance away until the rubble settled, and only when it stopped shifting did they stand again.
“Oracle, status on the inbound units?” Dick was the first to speak, the others giving sighs of relief and partially relaxing.
The two middle teenage children had quieted significantly after the explosion, the boy looking at the rubble in shock as he realized they would have been caught in it if it weren't for the group of vigilantes that had captured them. And the girl held a similar period of stunned silence before she started kicking at Cass again. “Get off me! Get your filthy hands off Danny!”
“Sam, it’s okay.” The eldest girl spoke with a shaking voice, slipping off Jason’s back and leaning her head against him in a moment of despair. Cass’s hand froze where it had been about to knock out chop her feisty captive, blinking and looking up instead. So the middle teen’s name was Sam? And the unconscious lad was Danny?
“The meta is waking up. Should I dose her again?” That was Damian, keeping an eye on the youngest Phantom. She was starting to stir, but the eldest Phantom spoke up before the others could.
“Don’t. Please. They’ve been through enough. Just please bring her over here, I’ll manage her,” the eldest girl directed. Her voice was still shaking, but it had steadied somewhat after Jason had turned slightly while remaining crouched to allow her to sit next to their 5th member, her hand resting on his cheek as she was gathering the breaking pieces of her determination.
Stephanie and Cass only exchanged looks with each other, and also Dick and Tim, before Jason spoke up. “Just bring her over. She might be more docile when she’s near this one.”
They didn’t seem completely convinced, but Stephanie at least complied, moving to crouch on one knee with the youngest girl while Damian hovered nearby with another dose of sedatives.
“You’re doing the right thing kid. When the cops get here with the paramedics they’ll get Danny taken care of. You don’t have to worry,” Jason encouraged the eldest girl, grateful that she was getting her team to behave.
“They can’t take him,” she rejected, catching the rest off guard.
“What? Look if it’s about money don’t worry, it’ll be taken care of,” Jason insisted, hoping it wasn’t because of a different possibility he was quickly starting to consider. He’d thought it was just his imagination, but Danny was unusually cold to the touch. Almost like ice. There was another common reason he knew people avoided hospitals despite being this injured.
The eldest girl shook her head again. “It’s not that it’s….” she paused, seeming both reluctant to tell them but also not sure how to tell them what was going on. She wasn’t even sure what was wrong. But when the youngest teen groaned and started to shift the eldest looked at her and found her answer. “Danny is like Danielle. Doctors can’t help them. They’re too different.”
That’s what Jason thought, but it didn’t mean he wanted to hear it, and it earned an understanding but frustrated groan from him and some of the others. “Shit. Alright,“ Dick took charge of the situation, hissing slightly and reaching to his own comms. “Oracle, where’s the nearest safe house? The 5th member is another potential meta, unconscious, and heavy bandaging over the whole torso. Can you contact home and have Penny-one or The Doctor on standby?”
As Dick took care of directing the team, Jason took care of keeping their tentative ally willing to listen to them. “We might have some contacts that can help. We have friends that also need more attention that the regular doctor can give them. Do you kids have names we can use?”
It was more of a lead than they’d had since they’d gotten stranded there, so the eldest teen seemed hesitant but hopeful to grab onto it. After a moment of thinking, her other hand reaching out to Danielle as she started to blink her eyes open, she responded. “My name is Jazz. This is my little brother Danny, my little sister Dani with an I, and our friends Sam and Tucker.”
“... Your parents gave your little siblings the same name?” Jason couldn’t help asking after hearing the relationships. That also explained a lot about why Jazz had been so frantically protective of Danny, aside from her being the oldest of the group.
“It’s… a long story,” Jazz admitted, grimacing a little. “Danielle… was unexpected.”
Looked like Jazz didn’t quite trust them enough. That was fine, they didn’t need a whole backstory right off. Oracle could probably figure it out easily now that she had names and relations. “Fair enough,” Jason dismissed with a grunt, ending his conversation as Dick approached them.
“Hey. There’s a whole mess of stuff going on, I know, but right now we’re going to focus on making sure everyone is taken care of, and then we can figure out the rest of the mess later, okay?” Dick started, leaning low with his hands on his knees and speaking gently. “The police and paramedics can take care of the criminals that were hunting you, but since he’s a special case we’re going to move to a different location where we’ll give everyone a check up. Sound good?”
Jazz didn’t jump at the offer, but they could see she saw promise in it, and hesitantly nodded. “My friends and I stay together at all times. Got it?” she demanded.
“Sure,” Dick agreed, not seeing any issue with that. “But we’ll keep the restraints on if necessary, alright? You all still have charges of assault after all.”
It was easy to see Jazz’s expression fall significantly at the reminder, as though her soul had been slightly crushed. “Yeah… okay,” she agreed, swallowing some nausea that had churned her stomach at being reminded they were criminals. Then, before Danielle could fuss too much, Jazz turned to rest a hand on the small girl’s arm. “Dani, these guys have agreed to help us. So behave and don’t pick any fights unless I say otherwise, alright?”
The fist that Danielle had prepared to punch her holder didn’t move, and after a moment Danielle groaned in reluctant relent. “Guhhhh can I at least punch the guy who drugged me? I feel awful.”
The comment earned a weak chuckle from Jazz, and she patted Danielle’s arm. “I’ll think about it. Just rest for now. We’re moving to a safe place.” She hoped she wasn’t lying to Danielle, and that these people would actually, finally give them the help they needed.

GAMER INTOLERANCE.

⌗ synopsis: you’re a person with IGD (Internet Gaming Disorder), so how does your boyfriend deal with it?
⌗ pairing: mha men x reader
⌗ side note: the loneliness is real I’m gonna be honest—

𐔌. IZUKU MIDORIYA:
▹ keeps detailed notes about your gaming habits in hero analysis notebook #47 (yes he made a whole notebook just for understanding you better) and accidentally discovers the correlation between your longest gaming sessions and when you're avoiding real-world stress
▹ definitely doesn't stay up until 3am researching igd and healthy coping mechanisms but somehow always has perfectly timed snack deliveries and gentle check-ins during your marathon sessions
▹ creates the most elaborate care packages with color-coordinated sticky notes reminding you about hydration, eye breaks, and "you're doing amazing but maybe stretch?" written in his chaotic handwriting
▹ gets genuinely excited about your achievements and keeps a list of all your high scores, favorite games, and that one boss fight you've been stuck on for three weeks (offers to help research strategies even though he's terrible at gaming)
▹ worry-mumbles about your sleep schedule but learns your game's soundtrack so he can tell how intense your session is getting just by the music bleeding through your headphones
▹ develops an entire system of gentle interventions disguised as coincidences: "oh wow, i just happened to make too much katsudon, and the sunset looks really pretty from the balcony right now, want to see?"
𐔌. KATSUKI BAKUGOU:
▹ storms into your gaming space like "oi, when's the last time you ate something that wasn't energy drinks and regret?" but there's always a perfectly prepared meal in his hands that he "accidentally" made too much of
▹ absolutely does not research your games to understand what you're going through but somehow always knows exactly when you're about to rage quit and appears with aggressive support: "that boss is being a little bitch, but you're not gonna let some pixels make you their bitch, right?"
▹ installs parental controls on your setup (without asking) but the restrictions are weirdly thoughtful - blocks during meal times he's cooking and creates mandatory "touch grass" periods that coincide with his training schedule
▹ learns gaming terminology just to trash talk your opponents more effectively: "that scrub is camping like a coward, show them what a real gamer looks like!"
▹ forces you into "training montages" where he makes you do push-ups between deaths ("if you're gonna sit on your ass for 12 hours, at least make it a strong ass")
▹ secretly learns to play your favorite co-op games because "someone has to carry you through this shit" but gets embarrassingly competitive about your team rankings
𐔌. SHOTO TODOROKI:
▹ approaches your gaming habits with the analytical precision of someone who's never experienced a hobby before: takes notes, asks incredibly direct questions like "do you game more when you're avoiding your father?"
▹ creates detailed spreadsheets tracking your gaming hours vs. mood vs. sleep quality because "data helps me understand how to support you better" (doesn't realize how intense this sounds)
▹ his rich boy solutions are accidentally perfect sets up the most ergonomic gaming space known to mankind with temperature control, blue light filtering, and a mini-fridge stocked with actual nutritious snacks
▹ sits quietly nearby during your sessions working on his own stuff, becoming a comforting presence who somehow always knows when you need emotional support without you saying anything
▹ learns to make your comfort foods from scratch because "store-bought isn't good enough for someone i care about" and delivers them with zero fanfare
▹ accidentally becomes your guild's favorite person because he remembers everyone's schedules and sends polite reminders about raid times and event deadlines
𐔌. EIJIRO KIRISHIMA:
▹ becomes your personal hype man who genuinely celebrates every single achievement: "bro, you just got that headshot! that was so manly!" *aggressively supportive arm gestures*
▹ definitely doesn't panic-research igd at 2am but starts leaving little encouraging notes around your setup: "remember you're more than your rank!" and "hydration is manly!"
▹ learns your game just enough to understand when you're having a rough session and swoops in with the most genuine pep talks: "hey, bad games don't make you a bad person, you know?"
▹ creates "gym buddy but for life balance" energy - suggests you both work on your respective challenges together (his self-doubt, your gaming habits) with matching goal charts and reward systems
▹ masters the art of the perfect gaming break: warm hugs, protein smoothies, and stories about his day that are just interesting enough to ground you without being demanding
▹ somehow makes every gaming achievement feel like a shared victory while also making every break feel like quality time instead of an interruption
𐔌. DENKI KAMINARI:
▹ initially thinks dating a gamer will be awesome until he realizes you're way more hardcore than his casual mobile gaming and gets lowkey intimidated by your setup
▹ becomes the master of chaotic interventions: unplugs your router "by accident," challenges you to stupid tiktok dances, or starts playing ridiculously loud music until you're forced to acknowledge his existence
▹ absolutely enables your habits sometimes brings you energy drinks and snacks but draws the line at letting you skip meals: "babe, you can't sustain this lifestyle on doritos and spite"
▹ creates elaborate schemes to make irl activities more appealing than gaming: "what if we went to the arcade? it's like gaming but with more lights and you can see my devastatingly handsome face"
▹ learns to recognize your different types of gaming moods and adapts accordingly - respects your serious competitive sessions but crashes your casual farming sim time with commentary and jokes
▹ somehow becomes friends with your online gaming buddies and creates a support network that bridges your digital and real relationships
𐔌. TOMURA SHIGARAKI:
▹ completely understands the appeal of escaping into digital worlds and doesn't judge your habits because he's been there, but gets weirdly possessive when games take priority over him
▹ creates a bizarre competitive dynamic where he tries to out-game you, leading to couples gaming sessions that last 20+ hours and probably aren't healthy for either of you
▹ oddly supportive in his own twisted way: "the real world is garbage anyway, at least you're good at something" (this is his version of encouragement)
▹ enables your worst habits while simultaneously calling you out: stocks your space with junk food and energy drinks while muttering about how you're "rotting away like society"
▹ becomes eerily invested in your gaming drama and holds genuine grudges against players who've wronged you: "give me their usernames, i'll make them regret existing"
▹ his room setup makes yours look casual and he creates the ultimate gaming cave where you both can ignore the outside world, which is either deeply romantic or deeply concerning depending on perspective
𐔌. DABI (TOUYA TODOROKI):
▹ approaches your gaming addiction with his signature blend of dark humor and genuine concern disguised as indifference: "nice to see you're as committed to avoiding reality as i am"
▹ secretly worried because he recognizes destructive coping mechanisms but expresses concern through sarcasm: "wow, 16 hours straight, that's almost as impressive as my daddy issues"
▹ becomes surprisingly attentive to your physical health in subtle ways - adjusts room temperature without being asked, replaces your desk chair with something that won't destroy your back, casually mentions eye strain
▹ uses his insomnia to keep weird parallel schedules with your gaming marathons, becoming a comforting presence who's just... there when you need him at 4am
▹ learns your games well enough to have intelligent conversations about them, but always with his trademark cynicism: "so you're telling me you spent six hours optimizing a virtual farm while eating cereal for dinner?"
▹ creates moments of genuine connection by sharing his own escapism strategies and bonding over the appeal of worlds where you have control
𐔌. SPINNER (SHUICHI IGUCHI):
▹ actually the most qualified to understand your situation as a former shut-in gamer himself, approaches your relationship with genuine empathy and zero judgment
▹ shares his own experiences with gaming addiction and social withdrawal without making it about him: "i get it, sometimes the digital world feels safer, but isolation isn't actually protection"
▹ creates the perfect balance of gaming together vs. encouraging other activities - suggests co-op games that build teamwork, then translates those skills into real-world adventures
▹ helps you recognize the difference between gaming as hobby vs. gaming as avoidance with gentle questions: "are we playing this because it's fun or because tuesday sucked?"
▹ his lizard brain finds your intense focus oddly attractive but knows when to interrupt with perfectly timed reality checks disguised as snack breaks and conversation
▹ becomes your accountability partner who actually understands the struggle - celebrates your healthy choices without making you feel broken for needing support

One Piece Live action season 1 + hints or similarities to future One Piece moments (specifically after East Blue saga) - part 1: episodes 1-3 [part 2 here]
This isn't meant to be a comparison between the live action and the animanga, but more so seeing these added/modified scenes that differ from the manga, yet with some of the acting/writing includes clues and hints to different and future canon material, or even characterization that necessary doesn't fit East Blue yet, but fits well enough into later arcs.
Luffy not knowing his world directions both in Opla (ep 1) /// Skypiea arc, in anime ep 168. But it could be for honestly any other arc (Funny thing is, in Opla he rang the bell that unfortunately alerted Alvida's crew, and only when I was rewatching that scene it made me connect it with the great Luffy moment at the end of Skypiea.)
The matches that Zoro has on the Island of Sixis in Opla ep 1, possibly manufactured on Baldimore (?), with a name Beast of Baldimore. /// After Sabaody Archipelago Franky was sent to Baldimore by Kuma, finding Vegapunk's homeland and laboratory, and also developing more of his science projects, as well as causing funny incidents, such as the Burning Beast. (It has probably nothing to do with the matches, except for the 'tiger on fire' motif and the name of Baldimore, but the details of Opla are just so fun!)
Zoro's first meeting with Luffy in Opla episode 1 is really different but fun nonetheless, especially with wording of the line that he doesn't want to 'play pirates' with Luffy. It's such a great setup line for his development to truly be one of the very first to understand how much Luffy means everything he's doing /// Zoro in ep. 323 Post Enies Lobby arc, making sure both his crew and the audience know how seriously he takes being part of Luffy's crew and what it means for future arcs.
Opla ep 2, Luffy mentioning Shanks' way of thinking about fighting (or not fighting someone who's not worth it) /// ep. 146 Jaya arc, Luffy saying to Zoro not to fight Bellamy's crew, which was direct influence from Shanks not fighting the Mountain bandits in the first chapters of the manga. It's interesting that for both of these scenes both Zoro and Nami are there to hear this.
This is just a fun bit, but seeing Nami excited about having a bath was cute. Opla ep 3 /// anime ep. 326, just after they get Sunny and everyone was finding out what space there is for them.
Garp and Koby playing the game of Go, Opla ep 3 /// CP0 agents playing Go while discussing the outcome of Strawhats & Oden's crew's raid on Onigashima against Kaido. It seems like a game that maybe Marines play more/enjoy (?) & above, up to CP ranks.
Usopp 'retelling' a story about eating a dragon, Opla ep 3 /// Punk Hazard ep 580, Zoro killing the dragon and planning with Luffy what's the best way to cook and eat it. Lol. In next chapters Luffy was carrying a big chunk of it, seemingly ate a bit part of the dragon already.
This one is self explanatory. Zoro is so gone for Luffy in Opla it's insane. Every time I remember that I get emo. ep 3. /// One of the first really fond smiles that Zoro keeps smiling at Luffy, a mixture of proud and understanding how Luffy works. ep 63, but it's just so much better in the manga, just look at it. Smitten™ (ch. 104)

#i had a great idea to rewatch opla now that im caught up with one piece and this is what i came up with OTL im so tired#so at least posting part 1 and later will work on the rest#one piece#one piece live action#opgraphics#oplaedit#monkey d. luffy#roronoa zoro#nami#usopp#franky#zolu#luzo#romance dawn trio#onepieceedit#gif:opla#mine#gif:one piece#gif:op anime#its actually really interesting to go back to what brought me to the manga. like nothing can really show the way its portrayed in the manga#but opla is doing a great job in making somethign new out of what we know and love#with different light on certain things. different angles and scenes pushed a bit around. but in the end i feel it makes perfect sense#for the story it's trying to tell on its own. for who these characters are too. *cough. youre my captain and im your first mate*

onyx pt1
See my full list of works here!
Summary: You're stuck in the Avengers Compound because of an injury from your last mission, and you come across an adorable and affectionate little kitten.
Pairing: Loki x Reader
Word Count: 2.3k
Warnings: language (no i'm not sorry, Rogers); talks of explosions and injuries sustained from explosion [let me know if i missed anything!]
Things to be aware of: one-sided crushing (but is it really…?)
An eerie silence served as your only company in the Avengers Compound the last few days, some of your teammates off to finish the HYDRA mission that left you injured while the others took time off to visit their families over the holidays. With the promise to keep their comms on in case they would be needed until the New Year.
Now all that remained in the Compound with you were a few junior agents that drew the ends of the short stick, Val, and Loki.
Sadly your teammate, friend, and occasional drinking buddy Val was out blissfully spreading holiday cheer throughout New York with her girlfriend.
And Loki? Well, the God of Mischief wasn't exactly on chummy terms with you. Didn't even so much as give you a passing glance when you were at mission briefings.
Which was a damn shame because what you would give just to get lost in those stormy ocean eyes.
You made your way to the pantry in the common room to replenish your stash of snacks, towing along a little wagon to help you on the way back. Every step had you feeling every square inch of bruising on the left side of your body that you got from being unlucky enough to be caught in the blast radius of an explosion at the HYDRA base you were trying to infiltrate with Shaun just a few days ago.
Your phone buzzed with a new message. "Speak of the devil," you muttered to yourself, seeing Xu's name on your screen as soon as you pulled up next to the elaborate barista setup, putting a few Lindor truffles in a small bag for your wagon. "Hey FRIDAY?"
"Yes, Agent Y/L/N?" the AI answered immediately.
"Could you make me a white chocolate mocha with peppermint while I raid the latest Costco delivery for uhh…supplies. Yeah, I'll go with that."
"Right away, Agent Y/L/N." The sound of the barista setup whirring to life filled the kitchen area as you checked on Shaun's message.
Thor just mentioned that he'll ask his brother to take a look at your injuries. Maybe get him to kiss it all better. He finished his text with a smirking emoji, along with some hand gestures that painted a less than family friendly picture, making you roll your eyes at the screen.
You recorded a voice memo for him. "You know that he'd need to actually be willing to look at me so that he could see the damage from the blast, right? And last I checked I'm pretty sure he thinks I'm Medusa reincarnated and I'll turn his Asgardian ass to stone."
You went on to the ridiculously stocked pantry to rummage the delivery that came just a few hours ago, trying to find a bag of Jalapeño Cheetos somewhere in the mix, when you heard a tiny meow from somewhere behind you. You looked to the ground to find a black and white munchkin cat looking up at you with wide blue eyes.
"Hi there, baby…" you cooed, surprised the adorable little creature hadn't hissed or scratched at you yet. Cats normally didn't take to you, which was a shame because you often found yourself fighting the urge to pick one up or stroke its head whenever you crossed paths with one during your errand runs. "How'd you get in here?"
The tiny kitten caught you by surprise with what it did next, walking up to your feet and proceeding to rub its cheek against your ankle, a little purr emanating from its small fluffy body. You decided to risk the hissing and scratching and bent down to pick it up, your heart melting once he placed his paws on your cheek and proceeded to nuzzle your face with his nose.
"Aren't you a complete darling." He settled into your arm as you carried him out of the pantry, a little whine escaping him when you placed him down on the counter. He stood on his hind legs and made grabby hands towards you, blue eyes wide and pleading for you to pick him back up. "Just a second, sweet baby, I'm just getting you something to drink."
You took out a tiny sauce dish and poured some cream into it, pushing it toward the kitten that responded with a slow blink and a meow before licking away at the rich liquid.
"I'm sure your owner's gonna crucify me for giving you that but I can't help spoiling little fur babies especially when they're as adorable as you are." You took a sip of the coffee FRIDAY had finished making before shouting out a question for her. "Hey FRIDAY, you have any clue who this little bub belongs to?"
It took a second for her to answer. "Negative, Agent Y/L/N. There is currently no other agent on the premises looking for their pet. I also see no collar on them and from a preliminary scan they do not seem to have a microchip on them."
Those words stopped the kitten from drinking to look up toward the ceiling and hiss at the source of the voice. He only relaxed once you started stroking his fur again, going back to drinking and letting out a few purrs along the way. "No owner, huh? Does that mean I can invoke Finders Keepers then?"
"It appears so, Agent Y/L/N. What would be your new companion's name?"
The kitten looked up at you, as if expecting your answer. You wondered briefly if he could actually understand what it was that you and FRIDAY were talking about. "How about Onyx? I know I know it's absolute garbage for originality to name a black cat after a black gemstone but--"
His eyes widened before he climbed up your arm, only stopping once he'd reached your shoulder to nuzzle at your neck again. "It seems he likes the name, Agent Y/L/N."
"Then it's settled." You placed a soft kiss on top of his head. "Hello there, Onyx."
You brought your new kitten back to your apartment, setting him down on your bed while you tried to take off your sweatshirt as gently as you could manage.
"Ah, fuck it," you hissed as you felt the bruising around your ribs, letting out a pained sound when you opted to whip the garment over your head as fast as you could instead. Your reflection revealed that the bruising on the left side of your torso was quickly becoming a frightening deep purple.
Onyx meowed from your bed, again standing on his back legs and making grabby hands at you, eyes wide with evident pain.
"What's wrong, little baby?" He placed his paws gently on your side when you made your way to him, pressing his nose to the skin near where your bruising began. "Oh don't you worry your pretty little head about those, sweetie. They'll heal…eventually."
He kept on pressing his face to the area, your heart melting for the tiny kitten even more realizing that he was pressing kisses to your wounds.
"You really are such a precious little bub, aren't you?" You picked your new kitten up, placing him on the armchair in your reading nook before setting an alarm for dinner in a few hours and settling into your bed. "Get some sleep, sweet baby Onyx. I'll see you in a few hours."
Your eyes had only closed for a few seconds before you heard another tiny meow followed by a soft thud, immediately making you sit up on the bed looking for the kitten. He'd already made his way to your bedside, standing on his back legs and reaching up trying to climb up the sheets.
"Alrighty then," you mumbled, picking him up and placing him on the pillow beside yours. You rolled over to lay on your right side to remove any pressure to your injuries the best you could, hovering your finger near Onyx's nose once you'd settled in. He leaned up and pressed his nose to your finger, paws kneading on his pillow. "Boop," you giggled. "Sweet dreams, baby."
Just as you'd closed your eyes to try catching an hour or two of rest before you had to eat again and take those pain meds that Banner prescribed you, your phone began to blare Immigrant Song way too loudly by your nightstand. There were only two contacts you gave that ringtone to and one of them was currently out with her girlfriend.
"Talk to me, Thunder," you muttered, groaning when your stretch to reach for your phone made your bruising smart a bit. "You all good over there?"
"Absolutely grand, Lady Y/N," the blond god's voice boomed from the other end. "I was just wondering if you could check on my brother, he refuses to answer his phone yet again."
"That's gonna be a hard pass from me, buddy. I've already been cut and bruised, I'm not too keen to add stabbed to that list. He's probably just practicing spells. Or out on a date." You winced at that last part, an irrational part of you flaring up with unwarranted jealousy at the thought of Loki out with just about anyone. "Just--I don't know, check up on him yourself when you get back. You can take a stab better than me anyways."
Thor sighed loudly, the low rumbling making Onyx step back from his pillow and start hissing at the phone. You stroked the top of his head to calm him down. "Very well then, Lady Y/N. Rest well. We're scheduled to return after nightfall."
"I'll have pizza here waiting for you guys. Bring your own mead." You clicked off and tried to get some sleep, having FRIDAY place an order for pizzas and wings for when the team gets back. Your new kitten padded his way over to you, resting his head on your outstretched arm and letting out a soft purr.
The sound of the Quinjet coming back roused you from your nap, along with the feel of little paws on your arm and Onyx nuzzling your cheek.
"Looks like everyone's home," you mumbled, pressing a few kisses to the kitten's head before making your way out of bed. "Come on, little baby. Time to meet the team."
With a whole lot of discomfort and groaning, you slipped your sweatshirt back on before presenting your hand to Onyx and patting your shoulder, prompting the kitten to climb up your arm and perch himself on the spot, nuzzling his face behind your ear.
The team had already arrived and filled the common area when you made your way there, some of them helping themselves to the pizza. Barnes and Wilson walked in with coolers, probably filled with chilled bottles of beer inside.
"Hey, there she is!" Shaun exclaimed, pulling out a bottle of Pepsi before making his way over to you and pulling you into an embrace. "How's the healing go--Whoa there." He took a step back as Onyx hissed in his direction. "Where'd you come from, little guy?"
You shh'd the kitten, pressing kisses to his little cheek to calm him down. "It's okay, baby, Shaun is a friend. One of the good guys." You turned back to your mission partner. "Shaun, this is Onyx."
"Always thought you were a dog person, Babes," Natasha spoke up before taking your arm and walking you to the food. "We leave for one day and you become a cat lady. Where'd you even find the time to go to a shelter and get baby blue eyes over here?"
"I didn't, actually," you answered the master assassin. "I just went to the pantry and poof there he was, meowing at my feet. Like the cat distribution system mailed him to me by magic or something." He nuzzled your cheek again before starting to knead at your face.
"And he doesn't belong to anyone? You're sure?" Shaun spoke up, backing up immediately when he tried to pet your new kitten and getting hissed at. "Easy, kitty. I'm a friend, I'm not gonna hurt you." The martial artist turned back to you. "He wasn't collared? Or chipped?"
"Nope. FRIDAY scanned him and everything."
"You wanna think about getting him chipped?"
Onyx hissed again at the question before swishing his tail around to curtain your hair around him, his little body shaking on your shoulder. As if he was silently pleading for you to not take him out to have him chipped.
"Don't you worry, baby. I won't get you chipped, I wouldn't hurt you like that," you cooed, letting out a little giggle as he placed his paws on your cheeks and nuzzled your nose, giving the tip tiny licks. You were so focused on your cat's affections that the bellowing of Thor looking for his brother was a distant muffled noise in the background.
Until he got to where you were standing and his booming voice was impossible to ignore. "What an adorable little beast you have, with you, Lady Y/N." Onyx buried himself in the crook of your neck, shaking at the sound of Thor's voice.
"It's alright, Onyx. It's just Thunder, he may be all big and menacing on the outside but he's just a fluff ball on the inside. Come on, go say hi."
The blond Asgardian approached you, examining your new pet carefully before a knowing grin graced his bearded face. "Hello, Brother."
A chill went down your spine at his words. "What the fuck d'you just say, Blondie?"
He motioned toward the kitten on your shoulder. "This is the explanation for his lack of replies on his phone. His absence from his quarters. Lady Y/N, the little beast hiding himself in your hair…is my brother. That is Loki."
In your stupor, the only words you could manage to say were, "Bitch what?!"

i was very much talking about the general thing i see on tumblr, not necessarily your case which just reminded me of it, but this game is a decade old and its not uncommon for mmos to update their graphics at some point? the new specs are incredibly low when held up against 99% of AAA games released in the past few years as well, odds are if the game runs well enough on your computers now, itll still work in a year.
Are the old graphics options going to be available? Im gonna be so mad if I Literally Cannot Play FFXIV ever again because people spent two years complaining about those goddamn grapes.
No, the base system requirements/recommendations are changing, they’ve talked about this a lot. The minimum specs are actually still pretty generous though, it’s still required to run on PS4 after all. And while I do understand the frustration if u still don’t meet the minimum specs, I promise it’s not just because of shit like the grapes lol. They’ve talked about literally needing to change intended story beats/shot composition as recently as Endwalker specifically because foliage quality looked distractingly bad during what were meant to be emotionally resonant scenes. The game absolutely could use a boost in fidelity if it’s meant to carry on for another 10 years. Sure there are a ton of people who don’t mind the visuals of the game now, I still think it can look quite nice in many areas and I think the strength of its story and overall art direction carry even the bad parts, but for years now they have been building off of a foundation that was notoriously compromised and rushed to ultimately save the game in the long run, and it shows. Texture quality in particular has been absolutely dire for way longer than it should have been. I’ve seen so many people distracted by how pixelated the Crystal Exarch looks near the end of Shadowbringers and it’s entirely understandable. I personally can’t help but notice how muddy hair and gear look when a cutscene decides to close-up on a character’s face, which is just not at all what should be running through my mind, but I can’t help it. I’m not a graphics SNOB but I do think that a games visuals really do matter, especially for an MMO like this where so much of its appeal is carried by your attachment to your character from a role playing and aesthetic perspective. Glamour is endgame after all, and that is ALL visual. This stuff is important to people, making it better is a net win.
#i cant tell you not to be mad.#and im not going to argue because that is entirely not my problem#but this is still an mmo. an mmo that would like to exist and remain relevant into the future.#and that means that at some point theyll have to update the graphics.#theres still more than half a year left. the minimum specs are incredibly reasonable for a 2024 graphics update#i dont know what your setup looks like or how well the game runs for you right now! id suggest seeing if your computer passes minimum specs#and maybe upgrading if its possible for you. because you really dont need an extremely overpriced rig in order to keep playing the game#you dont have to hope and pray because unless they make massive changes to the specs they showed. you can just check those#i genuinely do hope for you that the update wont take the game from you because im already a little upset itll take my raid healing from me#if you meet/surpass recommended specs right now. youll still be able to play the game in a year#you might have to upgrade in order to get performance the way you want it. but thats all#and it wouldnt even have to be a really expensive upgrade that costs you 2000 because even the recommended specs are shockingly low#for a 2024 AAA release

A/n: when on a writers high last night .
The back office was thick with smoke and frustration. Stack leaned against the peeling wall, jaw clenched, while Smoke paced like a restless predator, his dark eyes stormy.
You sat on the cracked leather couch, the weight of the night heavy in your chest. The unspoken between you and Smoke was a raw wound, still bleeding.
Smoke finally stopped, his gaze piercing. “You think I don’t see it? You, running back and forth between me and him…”
Your voice caught, but you held steady. “It’s not that simple.”
He laughed bitterly. “It’s never simple with us, is it? But I don’t know if I can keep pretending it’s okay.”
Stack’s eyes flicked between you both, tension thick like fog. “We got bigger problems than this.”
Smoke shot him a look. “Maybe. But this—” He pointed at you. “—this is the hardest.”
You met Smoke’s gaze, feeling the vulnerability beneath the anger. “I never meant to hurt you.”
His jaw tightened. “Doesn’t change the fact I’m still hurting.”
Stack cleared his throat. “Save it for later. We need to be sharp. The cops aren’t the only danger tonight.”
Smoke’s voice dropped to a growl. “I’ll protect what’s mine… even if it kills me.”
You swallowed hard, knowing the words were as much a threat as a promise.
The room grew heavy with silence, the cracks between you all deeper than any raid could reach.
The club was closing, but no one had gone home.
Not tonight.
Bo Chow stood in the middle of the security hallway, headset on, calmly directing bodies like a battlefield general. The way he moved, it was clear — this wasn’t his first time handling something dirty. Probably not even his tenth.
“Stack, check the alley cameras. Smoke, run the register logs for inconsistencies. I want every exit guarded. Nobody leaves unless I say so.”
You stood near the dressing room door, watching as girls scrambled to grab cash, stash stashes, or just stay out of the way.
Bo looked over at you briefly, nodding once — like he remembered the history between you and the twins. But now wasn’t the time for drama.
“This is cleanup. Not a war,” he muttered, more to himself than anyone else.
Just then—
THUD.
Everyone froze.
And then — a loud groan.
———
Delta Slim had completely wiped out at the end of the hallway, tangled in a crate of cheap vodka bottles. One bottle rolled toward Smoke’s feet. A silence fell.
And then Stack actually snorted.
Delta groaned dramatically from the floor. “Shit! I’m too old for clubs , and surprise SWAT visits. I shoulda been a fuckin’ Uber driver.”
Annie burst out laughing. Even Mary cracked a reluctant smile.
But Bo Chow didn’t.
He walked over, helped Delta up, and then crouched where the crate had fallen — his sharp eyes spotting something just under the broken bottles: a burn phone, hidden.
He picked it up slowly.
Stack stepped forward, expression darkening. “That’s not ours.”
Bo powered it on.
One number in the recent calls.
Blocked.
But the last message said just one word:
“Remmick.”
The room went still again.
Bo looked up at all of you, voice like steel.
“This wasn’t a random cop tip. This was a setup.”
Smoke’s fist tightened. Stack’s face was stone.
And you?
Your stomach dropped.
Remmick hadn’t disappeared.
He’d just been waiting.
————
Five years ago.
The strip club was different back then — smaller, grittier, just a few flickering signs and a lot of sweat holding the walls together. The twins were on the rise, young and reckless, hungry to turn dirty money into an empire.
You had just started — still new, still pretending it was just “for now.” Mary was fresh off the bus, and Annie? Already jaded, already laughing too loud to keep from crying.
And then came Remmick.
Tall. Smooth. Dressed like he came from money but talked like he came from war.
He showed up one night in a sleek, black coat, no entourage, just a single woman on his arm — the kind you couldn’t tell was a girlfriend, a bodyguard, or bait.
He watched from the VIP booth for hours, drinking water. Just water.
That’s what made Stack curious.
Smoke, on the other hand, didn’t like him from the jump.
“He don’t blink,” Smoke muttered to you. “Anyone that still can stare through strobe lights without flinching? That ain’t human.”
But Remmick didn’t force his way in.
He was… polite.
Charming.
He offered the twins a loan. Quiet. No pressure. No name on paper. “Just a helping hand,” he said, with a smile that felt like a wolf in silk gloves.
They took it. Money like that, back then, was salvation.
But salvation always comes with a leash.
And now?
Now it’s tightening.
—————————-
Back to Present Day
In the cold, buzzing quiet of the post-raid lockdown, Bo Chow tossed the burner phone onto the table.
“So,” he said, locking eyes with each of you. “Someone’s feeding Remmick from the inside.”
Stack didn’t move.
Smoke’s eyes narrowed.
Mary stiffened in the corner.
Annie leaned against the wall, chewing gum like a fuse waiting to be lit.
Bo looked at you last.
And his voice cut deep.
“Who’s the mole?”
———-
The hotel suite was penthouse level — sleek, sterile, cold. The kind of place that said, I have money, and no intention of sleeping.
The window stretched from floor to ceiling, revealing the city like a broken glass puzzle. Below, the club was just another neon smear.
Remmick stood barefoot on the marble floor, shirt unbuttoned, sipping something dark from a crystal glass.
The door behind him opened softly.
“You’re late.”
The informant stepped inside, face shadowed by a hoodie, hands tucked into the sleeves. The energy was jumpy. Nervous.
Remmick didn’t turn.
“You bring me anything useful?”
A pause. Then: “The cops were just a warning shot. Bo Chow’s onto the phone.”
Remmick smiled.
“I expected more.”
“I gave you names. I gave you entry points. You said no one would get hurt.”
“I said no one important.”
The informant tensed. “This wasn’t part of the deal.”
Remmick finally turned, eyes like winter storm clouds. “Oh, sweetheart — there are no deals in this world. Only delays.”
A tense silence.
Then Remmick stepped close — too close — and reached into the hoodie pocket, retrieving something without asking.
A folded picture.
Of you.
“Still chasing her ghost, are they?”
The mole flinched. “It’s not like that.”
Remmick smirked. “Oh, it always is.”
He looked down at the photo. “They’ll destroy each other over her. All I have to do is wait.”
He waved the informant toward the door like an afterthought. “Go. Before you’re missed.”
The door clicked shut behind them.
And Remmick?
He just sipped his drink.
Waiting.
