“You need to.”
“Need is a strong word, soldier; I need water, food, and sleep.” He states and points at the bunny costume you’re holding. “Now, this, I don’t need to do.”
“Come on, Lt., do it for the kids!” You beg.
He looks out the window at the funfair outside. Christmas, Easter, and Halloween festivities are held yearly at the local park, and the military base is expected to contribute somehow. Things like cooking and baking for example, or helping with the construction of the rides, and assisting with the general operations, were a few of the tasks you had to undertake. Apart from the famous egg hunt, the community has organized a variety of other activities this year, including egg and spoon races, potato sack races, and pony rides.
“Why don’t you put it on then if you care so much about the kids?”
“I’m on face-painting duty.”
“Why can’t I do the face-painting?” He asks, pointing at his black-painted, camouflaged eyes.
“We talked about this, Lt.,” you say and extend the costume to him, “you were the chosen one.”
The phrase ‘the chosen one’ was an exaggerated one but, in some ways, accurate. A few days before such events, the base held a raffle to determine who would perform as Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny. This year’s ‘lucky’ winner happened to be Ghost. You never did that for Halloween though, since there wasn’t an official ‘mascot’ apart from the pumpkins, and according to the Captain, “you were all monsters anyway.”
“I bet Soap planned all this,” he snaps, pointing to the fair outside, “I bet he rigged the raffle and wrote my name on every single ticket: Riley, Riley, Riley, Ri-”
He stops upon hearing your long sigh. “Soap would never do something like that,” you shake your head.
“Oh, yeah?” he asks, peering out the window again. “Where is he anyway?”
“He’s helping the kids at the shooting gallery,” you admit and quickly regret it.
“I’d be great at teaching kids how to aim!” he yells, raising both hands, “why does he get to do that?”
“You’d be the star of the show, Ghost!” you encourage him as you wiggle the suit. “The Easter Bunny!”
“I don’t want to be a star, soldier,” he snaps, shooing the costume away, “plus, I hate dressing up.”
“Um, Lt., sir?”
“Hm?”
“You’re wearing a mask with a skull on.” You murmur, raising your brows.
“That’s for a different reason, and you know it.” He stiffens and narrows his eyes at you.
You must come up with a solution quickly. There’s no way to persuade an grown ass man, especially a frightening one like Ghost, to dress up in a fluffy costume and cosplay as an imaginary character if he doesn’t want to.
“You can’t go outside with that cover of yours, especially on Easter,” you explain. “Now, this, on the other hand, comes with a full mask on...” You say and lift the bunny costume by the shoulders.
He groans and rolls his eyes. That’s his way of contemplating the idea.
You shrug and look at the costume. “I’d consider it a deal, to be honest.”
He looks at the costume, then back at you, takes the costume from your hands without saying a word, and goes to the toilet to get changed.
A short while later, he returns, this time in the form of a 6.5-foot-tall, fluffy, white bunny with pink ears. His hands—or rather, his paws—are hidden in the costume’s pockets, and he diverts his masked face away from you.
You swallow your laughter and nod vigorously in response.
“So, what do I do now?” he asks defensively.
“Just act like the Easter Bunny.”
His ears and whiskers wiggle as he turns to face you. “How does the Easter Bunny act, soldier?”
That’s an excellent question. See, the Easter Bunny is cheerful and quite energetic. Ghost, on the other hand... well, let’s just say he’s doing a pretty good job on Halloween at the House of Horrors.
“J-just wave at the kids, Lt.,”  you shrug and hand him a basket full of Cadbury creme eggs, “and blow the occasional kiss.”
“Like this?” he asks naively and pats the mask’s buck teeth with his paw.
“Yes sir,” you reply, looking down at the floor to hide your smile, “exactly like this.”

Hi, how are you! If you stil take requests, can I ask for a request for Daveed x fem!reader, Daveed making reader work for her nth release by making her idk…ride him up and down, and reader is just drooling, sobbing because she’s been fucked stupid and just wants to cum again even after she’s been creampied over and over again before Daveed flips them and makes her cum, 3 more times than she’s expecting to cum. 🫶🫶🫶 that scenario’s been on my mind a handful of times idk why😭😭😭😭
“Wait, wait—mmfuck Daveed!” You cried out, you placed your hand on Daveed’s stomach to get him to ease up on the brutal pace he set. You’ve forgotten how many times you orgasmed tonight; you lost count after the third one.
“Naw, you was acting like a brat all day. Now you gotta take your punishment.”
To be fair, you were trying to get under Daveed’s skin all day while he was working. You had been feeling neglected and wanted attention. So, you took it upon yourself to put on some lingerie, take some pictures and send it to Daveed. Not only that, but you also even took videos of yourself masturbating and sent Daveed those as well. That was probably where you messed up, you should’ve known what you were in for when he texted you back with a simple “Oh okay”. Now here you are, ankles pushed back to your ears and Daveed fucking into you at an unrelenting pace.
“You can take it, can’t you?” You nodded Daveed lightly slapped your face
“Words, you can take it right?”
“Yes, Daddy.” You moaned
“Gonna be a good girl for Daddy.”
“I’ll be good. I’ll be a good girl.” Daveed used his thumbs to rub fast circles on your clit causing you to scream.
“I can’t, I can’t—it’s too much—Ahaaa!” Daveed pinched your clit making you see the stars and pushing you over the edge again.
“You should’ve thought about that earlier. You played yourself.” Daveed kept going fucking you through your orgasm and his. You were going to have to get a Plan B tomorrow the way he was shooting the club up. The sound of his dick sliding in and out along with his cum is enough to make you cum again. Daveed pulls out and smirked at the relief on your face.
“We ain’t done yet,” he flipped you over so that you were on all fours.
Without warning Daveed pushes in and sets a quick pace. You moan into the pillow.
“Yeah, take that shit.”
“Please, please, please,” You don’t even know what you were asking Daveed was fucking all the logic out of your brain. You put your hand behind you only to have Daveed pin it to your back, his other hand slapping your ass.
“You know what you gotta say,” Daveed grunted
“M’sorry.” You said into the pillow, he slapped your ass again
“I can’t hear you, baby.” You picked your head up
“I’m sorry Daddy,”
“You gonna do that shit again?”
“No, no, I promise.” You babbled; Daveed smirked at the image in front of him. You drooling on the pillow, bouncing back on his dick. He could feel you tighten around him a tell-tale sign that you were going to orgasm.
“I’m cumming, I’m cumming, I’m cumming!” You screamed, it was times like this when you were grateful that you and Daveed finally moved out of the apartment, the amount of noise complaints was starting to get ridiculous not that Daveed cared, he practically loved it when he would get that email from the Landlord.
You felt Daveed pull out of you, you relax thinking you were done. Daveed grabbed your waist and rolled the two of you over so you were straddling him.
“Ride this dick,” You could barely move your legs as you lined up with Daveed. You started with a slow pace maintaining eye contact the entire time. You felt his hand slap onto your ass, kneading it.
“You close baby?”
“Mhmm!” You were bouncing up and down on Daveed’s dick, using his shoulders as leverage. You could feel the coil in your stomach begin to snap. Daveed decided to play with your clit that’s all you needed before you let everything out. Daveed groaned shooting thick ropes of cum inside you. You squealed at the sensation. Daveed looked down at the mess the two of you made before your head fell onto his chest.
You didn’t even realize you had fallen asleep until you woke up with a blanket on your body and Daveed was nowhere to be found. You were wearing one of his t-shirts you were about to go looking for your boyfriend when the bedroom opened to reveal Daveed and two bags of food. He sent a smile your way before walking over to kiss you.
“I got us some food.”
“How long was I sleep?”
“An hour or so. You fell asleep not long after. We took a bath and then I went to go get food.” Daveed handed you your food and joined you on the bed to watch your favorite shows.
“You okay? I wasn’t too rough was I?” Daveed asked genuinely concerned, you leaned up and kisses his cheek
“You were great, I’m a little sore.” There was a brief but comfortable moment of silence between the two of you before Daveed spoke up.
“We should probably get a Plan B in the morning.”

Random question for Casa Tidmouth prequel What's the love story between ten cents and zip?
you’re in for a ride. welcome to another installment of senja v. b. heterocaine’s “doomed queer couple” series
before I start this incredibly long love story between two of bigg city harbour’s most struggling youth, it’s probably necessary to read about ten cents’ and zip’s relationships with their respective captains (here and here) because their influences are integral in shaping their relationship. you have? now let’s go!
Tumblr media
ten cents and zip first met two weeks before the events of sunshine (episode 1). ten cents has been working for the star fleet for at least three months now. he was still brash, impatient, and immoveable by anyone besides captain star and hercules. it was also zip’s first day at work. besides being trained (more like impatiently taught) by zorran about how to work at the harbor and the culture of interacting with his z-stacks coworkers, zip didn’t know what to expect of the star fleet. captain zero did tell him that they’re folks not to be friendly with, so zip stuck to that. whoever captain zero hated, zip will also hate.
so there zip was, with his newly christened tugboat. as soon as ten cents and his coworkers spotted the z-stacks’ number 5, ten cents was not pleased. at all. four z-stacks was nasty enough, so another one? ten cents hadn’t even talked to him or know anything about his personality and he’s already developed a dislike towards the new z-stack.
zip’s mouth was out of control. he was saying some of the meanest (yet emptiest) things because he quickly picked up on zug’s habits as well as letting himself get dragged everywhere by him. ten cents also didn’t like zip. whenever zip shoots an accusation or makes fun of ten cents, ten cents shoots back a response in retaliation, resulting in zip always shrinking and retreating. in ten cents’ eyes, zip is just another cunning z-stacks in the making. his naivety and capability to ONLY parrot what was said to him were frustrating. so what if he’s just a spineless newbie? what became of zip wasn’t any of ten cents’ problem. to ten cents, zip was trouble. to zip, ten cents was an enemy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
still at the start of the story and things are already muddy. ten cents was incredibly stubborn and impatient, already assuming the worst and letting his personal dislike for the z-stacks cloud his judgement. zip, despite his inability to be a genuinely malicious person, has exhibited signs of him possibly following the cloudy path of captain zero. their dislike towards one another were further amplified by their respective captains’ influences.
then they met each other outside of work for the first time. it was a particularly slow day, so zip was told to buy groceries by captain zero (designated z-stacks errand boy). he then stumbled upon ten cents who was sitting on a bench near the bridge cafe and doing crosswords on the morning newspaper. ten cents was avoiding captain star’s presence for the day so he can have some time alone. zip looked at him, curious, but was driven away by an angry ten cents. stammering on his excuses, he quickly ran away.
their second, third, and so-on encounter wasn’t any better. ten cents grew out of shouting at zip and just shot glares at him. there’s even a moment where ten cents directly asked zip what his deal was, to which he replied that he’s just wondering what ten cents was up to.
ten cents: and how is that any of your business, eh? wanna snitch on me? zip: oh, a man c-can’t even be wary of what his enemy’s up to anymore?
ten cents just pursed his lips at that and went away. any anger or assumption of villainy that he had towards the newest z-stack dissipated. what a weirdo, he thought.
eventually, ten cents realized just how bad zip was at maintaining his “devious and scheming” front and that he’s most likely a young man who got mixed with the wrong crowd. his annoyance turned into… fondness? amusement? anyways. the next week, ten cents could feel zip’s stare at him from the shop’s window, so he eventually got zip to come to him by calling him over to the bench (“you ever do anything besides running errands for captain zero?”). there’s still tension in the air and ten cents wasn’t even sure that he’s making the right choice by calling zip over, but they bonded over the hard crossword puzzles. they shared quips and banters, though they both notice the lack of malice whenever they make fun of one another.
there’s an unspoken understanding that their respective captains won’t be happy to see them together, so they bid farewell after a while. ten cents and zip felt something odd. one felt fun being around the other. they also began to be more amicable at work instead of showing hostility, much to the confusion of their peers (and displeased eye rolls from zug and zak). they met outside of work again and ten cents noticed a pattern on the time zip usually went out and how he’d always go out at least twice a week.
they gradually warm up to each other and start hanging out more and more. it gradually went from coincidental to planned. ten cents enjoyed zip’s interest in the things he enjoy, while zip enjoys having ten cents around and talking with him about things not related to work, mainly because there’s nobody in the z-stacks that’s his age. just teenagers being teenagers.
ten cents learned that zip likes reading children’s books and aesop fables. some of his favorites are pinnochio and the country mouse and town mouse story. he also began to like doing word puzzles like crosswords and word searches and was still learning how to read and write. zip learned that ten cents likes drinking coke, playing card games like blackjack, and exploring/learning new places and things “like folks with money”.
ten cents promised that he’ll teach zip anything that he wanted to know. how to let loose a little bit. he taught zip how to attract pigeons at the dock. he taught zip how to open a can of cola with his teeth, how to (incorrectly) use random objects they found near abandoned schools, how to float on the water, how to sneak into cinemas, how to dance, how it feels to have a friend, and so on. ten cents just wants to show zip what living is really like despite being stuck under his captain’s tutelage himself, and he didn’t know exactly why.
they understand that they share a lot of similarities. the one clash they have was about their captains. ten cents dislikes captain star’s way of running things and generally has a really complicated way of viewing him, while zip, who has rose tinted glasses equipped for captain zero, didn’t understand why he dislikes captain star. every child are obligated to love their guardians. that’s just how things are. those are what zip thought. this didn’t sit well with ten cents who was actively seeking freedom for himself without captain star at his ear all the time.
unfortunately their respective captains weren’t exactly very fond of them being buddy-buddy with each other. captain star believes that ten cents is getting more out of hand, while captain zero dismisses zip’s feelings for ten cents as naive and foolish. not to mention how their captains are divorced from each other. that’s definitely affecting what they taught about love to ten cents and zip.
captain star @ ten cents: I’m trying to put you in the correct path, but here you are, fraternizing with someone from the z-stacks. I want you to be happy, but what have you been doing? captain zero @ zip: what you have for him is MERE teenage infatuation. if there are other people in your place, he would befriend them instead. that’s not TRUE camaraderie, boy.
ten cents didn’t take into account what captain star said. he knew that he’s dead set on wanting to hang out with zip more. besides, despite being a bit wary, some of his friends were supportive of him, especially sunshine and hercules (who also slips in money so ten cents can take zip out). hercules even took ten cents and zip on car rides. sunshine and hercules were no snitch.
zip, however, was still influenced by captain zero and believed that anything good he has will eventually go away. all of these gave their friendship a lot of ups and downs, not to mention how they disagreed on a lot of things as much as they agreed with. zip’s loyalty to captain zero still outweighed his friendship with ten cents even though they’re getting closer.
zip had mentioned several times how much he adore and love captain zero like one does to their father, yet all ten cents know about the z-stacks captain through zip was how slimy and morally questionable he is. zip was so happy when he recounted the times he went shooting birds and handling rabid dogs with captain zero, when captain zero taught him how to handle guns and how he “””affectionately””” called zip “boy”, when he watched his z-stacks folks fight a bunch of drunk thugs, and so on. ten cents also learned that zip’s name was given to him by the z-stacks, not by his parents or anything. why were all of zip’s stories so… odd? yet zip said it all casually as if… he didn’t understand the weight of those sentences he’s said.
ten cents: heheh. what’s so good about living with captain zero, anyways? zip: wouldn’t you like to know! I get three meals a day and have a place to sleep. I also get money for my hard work. oh, I’m practically living the life! ten cents: ten cents: hey, that’s… uh. that’s the bare minimum, zip. zip: huh? oh, alright. ten cents: zip: zip: so, um, wanna go cool down by the beach? ten cents: sure, zip.
which is why ten cents was horrified to hear zip easily say “people end up miserable at the end of their relationships.” during one of their hangouts. ten cents’ habit of lashing out when he’s frustrated was starting to boil, but he got ahold of himself and just nodded to what zip said, incredibly disappointed. he did know something more sinister was at play here. the remainder of the hangout was awkward, so they went their respective ways and didn’t hang out for a week, though they still greeted each other at work.
they then found themselves missing each other. ten cents still spends time with his best friend sunshine, but sunshine already knows everything there is about ten cents. zip got bored and fidgety with his significantly older coworkers because all they talked about were barges and contracts (sans zorran and zebedee who had shown some semblance of worry for him). captain zero became more paranoid and demanding of everyone, especially zip whom he needed yet barely cared for. zip thought hanging out with ten cents was fun. it felt good and natural. this was a friendship that was not influenced by the state of their respective companies’ rivalry. zip wanted more from what he has with ten cents.
zip believes that ten cents was purposefully avoiding him. he confronted ten cents and asked why they weren’t seeing each other as much lately, afraid of not being friends with ten cents anymore. ten cents told him that they’ll always be friends. friends have their disagreements. so they talked. ten cents told zip that he should be more careful in taking into consideration the things captain zero had taught zip (he knew he had to use words that zip can both understand and not get offended at) and he didn’t want zip to get himself into danger trouble. zip nodded. he told ten cents that he’s beginning to question captain zero a lot, being uncomfortable because zip realized that the z-stacks might not like him as much as he liked them, and felt like he didn’t belong in the z-stacks… but zip brushed them all off as him being a stupid boy. after he’s done, ten cents pulled zip into a hug slowly, as if he doesn’t want to shock him, as if he’s telling him that he’s not stupid and that he’s wrong about a lot of things. zip was still confused, but he knew full well that the hug felt nice. he liked the hug. their relationship seemingly took an ascending hill from that point.
ten cents didn’t want to ruin the friendship they have because he treated zip as a ray of hope of living like a “normal” young man, while zip was still hauled by captain zero’s belief that he’s destined to be miserable if he pursues this relationship. it didn’t help that zip knows he’s in love with ten cents but didn’t know how to process it because nobody taught him what a healthy relationship is like (then zorran came into view, having warmed up and bettered himself throughout the course of fortezza bigg city).
on one of their hangouts, in a field a bit far from bigg city port, zip blurted out that he loves ten cents in a romantic way. he’d always feel genuinely safe and happy whenever he’s around the star fleet youth, saying that he wants ten cents to keep teaching him fun things and always be with him. ten cents, though initially surprised at the absolute courage zip had at saying something so bold, quickly reciprocated. they had a feeling that they’ve been in love with each other for a while. zip wanted ten cents to teach him how to be a good partner in a relationship but ten cents said that they can learn together. they can take it slow. they don’t have to do the things people in relationships do when the both of them aren’t ready yet. ten cents admitted that the things that he had taught to zip were also things he had little experience prior. zip laughed, and once again, they shared a hug.
this time, it was zip teaching ten cents and bringing him to places. their relationship had little change compared to their friendship except that they’re more touchy feely with each other – ten cents putting his hand on zip’s shoulder, zip resting his head on ten cents’, hugging, hand holding, all that – considering that they’re now dating. they eventually kissed when zip asked ten cents to kiss him, although awkwardly and shyly (uncharacteristically so from ten cents’ side), but felt good, it felt right.
they kept their relationship mostly a secret because they know not everyone will be happy with it. sunshine fully understands, both because he has ten cents’ full trust and knows what it’s like to be in a relationship with someone that not many people liked (that is bigg city port’s harbinger of bad luck). hercules too. he believes in their decision but still made sure the two boys weren’t doing anything stupid. zebedee and zorran were more lax with their youngest coworker dating someone from the star fleet. zebedee didn’t pry too much on zip’s business but he did ask from time to time how ten cents was doing. zorran, on the other hand, was more fussy – wanting the best for zip and to stop him from spiraling down like he did, but he knew that a certain someone has his eyes on them. captain zero would NOT be happy. they mostly try to keep zak and zug from snitching to captain zero… which would later produce a domino effect on the z-stacks’ security.
ten cents and zip’s relationship didn’t always go smoothly. they love each other – it’s just that the environment they’re in aren’t exactly in favor of the relationship they want. captain star still keeping the star fleet in the dark about his past, zip slowly losing faith in captain zero and purposefully not allowed to know that captain zero has criminal relations and the z-stacks are in cahoots with him, johnny cuba with his blackmail, the police growing more wary about the criminal activities infesting bigg city port, the possibility of captain zero having to run away if his cover gets blown, ten cents knowing full well that zip is going to be caught in the crossfire if captain star decides to take action yet not knowing how to say it to zip properly…. and the fact that they’re in the great depression. just all around not a great time
(there’s a plot point in fortezza bigg city where captain zero’s past relations caught up to him and zip eventually had to pay a visit to the star fleet in their office building, but it’s WAY too long and hard and tragic to explain. this is a long story. thanks for being patient)
at the end of the story, both ten cents and zip have changed significantly. ten cents is more mellowed and patient – willing to understand people who are not exactly as “right” as he is. zip is no longer the naive, easily influenced young man that idolized and looked up to captain zero. despite what captain star had put upon him, ten cents wished he was better. despite what captain zero had done to him, zip still loved captain zero.
but it’s alright. they know they have someone that knows what they went through.
Tumblr media
(there’s also a couple of fics I’m writing right now related to zipcents. one involves them and school, while the other is heavily zip-centric)

«🥼» SCENARIO
……………………………
“This car ride is rather long, don’t you think?”
Bi’an mumurs as He looks out the window, crimson eyes soon falling to the Chauffeur driving upfront.
“Are we almost there?” Bi’an asks as the Chauffer’s eyes look at Requiem through the front windscreen.
The said man looking now at the Location app upon hearing Requiem’s question, He gazes back at the steering wheel.
“Just a little bit more, Sir Xie.”
Bi’an hums in acknowledgement as His gaze darts towards you in a questioning manner.
“Are you doing alright?”
He pats your head, looking at you with a soft gaze. He and Wujiu decided to bring you to one of their photoshoots for a campaign hosted by the Agency They recently signed up for. They were currently heading to the destined location as You and Requiem sat comfortably at the backseat.
This only happened since You were curious about what They do behind the scenes when they were modeling, since most of the time you usually get left alone in your shared Apartment.
The Curiosity Blossomed overtime as you started seeing your Two Lovers in Advertisements, Tarpaulins and even in Magazines more frequently, They were also trending online at one point! you just had to ask the Two what They usually do or whats up with Their sudden spike of popularity. You told them that you wish you can see them doing actual modeling. Fortunately, Requiem invited you to their next– now current shoot They’ll be doing. This is great, Considering how You’ll see them both at their full potential as models!
You nod in reply to His Question. a smile graces his lips.
“Thats good.”
His red eyes gazes at you before it moves to Fan Wujiu, Who is currently resting his head on the window next to your side.
“How about you, Wujiu. you okay?”
He looks at Wujiu who’s currently resting his head on his palm, staring mindlessly at the window.
“Mhm.”
Wujiu mumbled in reply.
Bi’an smiles at Him before sitting back on His seat. Humming Comfortably, satisfied with both your replies.
“Ah, I have a question.”
Bi’an and Wujiu’s eyes are now on you, curious gazes while Their eyebrows are raised.
“What is it?”
“How long have you guys been yknow… doing modeling? just curious.”
He thinks for awhile.
“Oh. quite awhile now actually... some agency asked us if we wanted the opportunity to star in Their upcoming Advertisement… We didn’t really have anything to do. never knew it would be such a hit.”
“So much so Wujiu had to mute His phone with How much Emails We’d get from the different agencies..”
Bi’an chuckles.
“so why not?”
Wujiu gives him a small glare.
“They’re annoying, okay?”
“I didn’t say they weren’t now… did I..?”
you and Bi’an share a small laugh as Wujiu looks away playfully rolling his eyes while facing the window.
.
.
.
The Car soon pulls over.
“We’re Here.”
Wujiu’s Cerulean eyes examine the Building from His window and raises an eyebrow suspiciously. It looked too empty to be deemed as the “Popular Agency.” in this city. but brushed it off as you Three got off the Car, although the suspicion still lies.
The Car soon drives away as you both were now left alone standing infront of the building.
Bi’an examines the building with an expectant look.
“Not what i was expecting… it looks different than it did with the Email they sent.”
“Looks bland as Hell.”
“Can’t disagree with you there…”
“well, whatever.” Bi’an shrugged as He looked at you with a smile
“Are you excited, ___?”
you smile back at him before nodding.
“Lets go now, yes?”
“Okay.”
You three walked inside the building… it was… quite desolate, in a way. there stood one employee at the front desk, Her gaze immediately going to you Three, almost… panicked.
“Hello. we are here for the campaign shoot.”
The Employee looks at Bi’an before nodding.
“Ah… yes, Requiem… correct?”
“Thats right.”
“and… who?”
She points at you expectantly as Bi’an looks at your direction.
“Ah, a special guest. no worries.”
Bi’an smiled as Wujiu stares at the Employee with a harsh glare. this feels… a little too off. It’s quite… desolate. in this place. There weren’t any people apart from the Front desk Herself, not too mention, it feels like someone is watching them.
it doesn’t feel too right.
“I-I see… alright then… i’ll just call our campaign manager to come down and we’ll get started.”
She reaches towards the telephone.
“They’re here.”
Suddenly, a group of men appeared out of nowhere and tackled Both Bi’an and Wujiu.
“What the…?!”
Wujiu and Bi’an tries to fight off the sudden group of men tackling them as you stare in shock and back away a little.
“what the hell…?!”
You kept backing in fear as your arm suddenly gets roughly grabbed by the perpetrators, trying to drag you away from Requiem.
You look in shock as you attempt to fight back to struggle out— albeit it wasn’t fruitless as you managed to kick one of the men, who only snarled in return. giving you a harsh glare.
“Agh- you-!”
He drags you now harshly as Wujiu and Bi’an look at you almost panicked.
“Wujiu- Bi’an-“
“___!”
They both called out to you while still trying to hold back the men. It was difficult as the group had blunt objects while Bi’an had the Umbrella. He was using it as some sort of shield while trying His best to not get hit across the face with the objects the men were using against them. Wujiu was in the middle of punching some of them in the face, barely almost evading their hits.
In a Fortune, Wujiu saw the vase from the counter and grabbed it.
“Duck!”
immediately throwing it to the man Bi’an was currently trying to hold back, Hissing from pain from the shards of glass that came from the impact of the throw, Bi’an managed to successfully shove the man off as He assisted Wujiu with the men that were surrounding Him.
while….
The Men that were dragging you away had enough of your struggling and eventually hit you across the head by swinging you across the head with a blunt- you hisses in pain as your consciousness slowly started to fade- as much as you wanted to fight back your vision darkening, it was useless as your vision faded to black. as you slumped back on the floor now unconscious.
The two men that were dragging you sighed exhaustingly, almost in relief.
“God… thank god. so damn stubborn. what do we even do with Them…? Don’t we only need to deal with Requiem?”
The man near him only shrugged.
“Can’t we just let them go? This isn’t even what the boss told us to do!”
“We can’t just release them. idiot. They can snitch on us and i’m not in the mood to deal with the authorities right now.”
He looks at you and scrutinizes your face.
“Besides. Requiem wouldn’t just bring some random person. Who knows, Judging by His concerned yell for this person earlier, we can use it to our advantage…”
………………
“Shit…”
Wujiu breathes out as He and Bi’an finally finished fighting off the other men. bloody traces stained throughout the entire Lobby, unconscious bodies along with shattered glass and more unpleasantries as They both slump back on the floor, using the wall as a support.
Bi’an stares at Wujiu with an almost relieved smile.
“.. Nice Aim earlier.”
Wujiu stares back at Him.
“It was Tough luck… Thank god we managed to fight them off. He breathes out.
It was a moment of silence as Bi’an opens His eyes for a second, before it suddenly widens.
“…wait.”
“..Wujiu”
Bi’an nudges Him
“Wh-?”
Requiem suddenly becomes more alert at the sudden realization.
They checked their surroundings and then suddenly remembered.
“wait…”
“____!” They shouted your name as They searched throughout the entire Lobby and when they saw nothing, staring at the Direction the culprits took you while They were occupied with the men- they immediately went there.
They searched throughout the entire building for any sign of you. Despite the Exhaustion that came along the fight– They couldn’t just leave you! They searched frantically, no traces of you throughout the building. checking every crevice for no answer.
after a little while of searching. They came to the conclusion that You were brought along by them.
as much as They didn’t like it, but it was their only choice.
They grit their teeth at the conclusion and hope those damn bastards don’t do anything bad to you. They need trace your current location… and They know who They could rely on for this type of situation.
Nitre.
“Bi’an, call the Chauffeur, Immediately!”
……………
(hideout of true proof)
“Seems like i finally won against you.” True Proof smiles at the Female infront of Her as She stares at Bloodfan, dangling the Queen piece infront of Her as she smiles in reply of her defeat, putting Her fan down on Her lap as she claps.
“Well played, Demi. you’ve certainly gotten better at chess since we last played.” The woman only grins in response of Bloodfan’s words.
“Of course… its a great way to pass the time.”
True Proof walks to one of Her cabinets in Her office.
“Missions have been a pain in the ass haven’t they? why not treat this to a glass of wine? you need to loosen up more.” She pops open a wine cork and starts pouring on Her glass. “My treat.”
Bloodfan shakes her head. “Thank you, but I Don’t Drink.”
True proof chuckles
“Still the Teetotaler, huh..?”
Bloodfan nods. “Perhaps a certain… member of ours would like this.”
True proof raises an eyebrow.
“Ah.. let me guess?”
“Wujiu!”
“Bi’an.”
“…”
They both share a hearty laugh at their contrasting response, the four of them were very close friends ever since from Highschool to starting an entire Group. They remained close since.
“They’re really different with the effects of Alcohol… huh..?” The said hearty laugh soon dies down into small giggles as Bloodfan nods.
“Wujiu’s drunken state can almost rival yours.”
“Hey… I’m not that bad when I get tips-“
“Wheres Nitre?!”
True Proof flinches at the harsh swing of Their office door, Turning around immediately revealing two yet familiar disheveled men clearly in a raging state of anger despite one’s nonchalant expression.
“speak of the devil…” Bloodfan mutters as she opens Her Fan to conceal Her half of her face.
It was no more than Requiem Themselves.
“Nitre… Nitre! where is She?!” Wujiu yelled angrily. gripping the door with such frequency that it looked like He can break it if He wished. He looks around the room before hitting the door.
“Where is She damn it!”
“Woa, woa, woa! calm down! what’s going on with you both? what happened?” True Proof asks in concern as She steps closer.
“Ambush. They took ____ with them.” Bi’an grips the umbrella harshly.
“Turns out that the said ‘Model Agency’ was just a phony to Lure us to their plan.”
“damn bastards.”
Their anger was conspicuous in every way possible, Damn it… Wujiu already knew something was wrong; yet His intuition was correct. They shouldn’t have left their guard down– even if the Invitation sounded harmless, looks can be deceiving, and Requiem learnt it the second time.
“We need Nitre, We need to track down those asses.”

“You ask him.”
“He does not have the same liking for me as he does for you.”
“That is a sorry excuse, you have known each other longer.”
“But you know he holds a soft spot for the fairer sex.”
“For Lin-Mae, maybe.”
“I will truly perish at this rate.”
“Fine. But you must ride alongside.”
“Fine.”
William smirks as your horses’ hooves clomp to a faster pace, pulling alongside his own steed as if your bickering didn’t reach his keen ears.
“William, if you would humor us for a moment…” you say, putting on that diplomatic smile you reserve for well-paying customers and men about to lose their loins.
“We agreed to riding through our late meal so we would arrive on time. The wedding is tomorrow, and the bride’s father did not pay for an absentee escort,” he chides. Your shoulders slump, face falling into its more comfortable sullen expression.
“Easy for you to say, you enjoyed a hot meal before the ride. Pero and I had naught but dried meat and water to fill our bellies,” you bemoan.
“You would have had the same, had you not missed breaking fast. Why was that again?” William asks, his knitted brows comical as he watches your eyes widen. Pero coughs beside him, an embarrassed clearing of his throat. He knows where you were, the mussed hair and bits of straw clinging to your leathers a signal to ignore his companions’ disappearance. You and Pero had been taking leave of William as often as was polite, disappearing early in the evenings and sneaking off to “bathe” some afternoons. He’s thankful you honor him with discretion, not stumbling upon your bodies entwined, but he’s no fool either.
“I was eating something else,” Pero chuckles deep in his chest, pulling a salacious gasp from your lips. William’s laugh covers the daggers you shoot from your eyes, though real ones would come soon if Pero was any bolder.
“In any event,” you growl, darting your eyes back to William, “should a convenient moment arise and food be presented, could we spare a few moments to sup? I would even eat on horseback, as poor as it is for digestion.”
“Our time is running out, and there is no place to stop between here and there.”
You groan, leaning back to stare up at the barest glimmer of stars beginning to dot the deep blue sky. “This is the last time I let my cunt choose instead of my belly.”
“You did not complain then, mi guerrera,” Pero shoots back with a smirk. William is certain he has never disliked being between the two of you more, and that’s counting the time he broke up one of your quarrels.
“You can choke on it next time, mi amor,” you say back, oversweetening the endearment like it will somehow sate your hunger. William sighs loudly and cracks the reins in his hands.
“To end this bickering, let’s say we ride double time. We’ll make it there by last meal, and you can both give me the gift of silence while your mouths are full.”
William is barely done speaking when Pero urges his steed into a gallop, taking off along the well-worn trail. You swap a look with William, who shakes his head good-naturedly.
“You know, Pero sings your praises every chance he gets, especially when you cannot witness it,” he hums, both horses’ gaits picking up. “But I cannot understand why you put up with him some days.”
Sitting up taller, you pin William with a thoughtful look he’s rarely graced with. You prefer sharp glances, rakish grins, hard stares and blood-soaked grimaces, but rarely a look so warm that he can feel it on his face. Making a curious little noise, he cocks his head.
“You’ve only heard his point of view? You never asked mine.”
“I’m asking now.”
Eyes back on the road and the cloud of dust fast settling, William recognizes it all at once.
“I have never been loved so completely as Pero does. It is a battle, but one we always win. I will take every bad day, every foul joke and snarl, for one more with him.” With that you slap the reins and take off after your other half, sharp and graceful where he is blunt and brutish.
For so long William wondered what kind of person would return his heart, and it took a trip to the East to discover who that person was. As he catches up, both your teeth bared in laughter at the overwhelming joy of being alive, he gives thanks that his old friend has found the same.

The ambience of planes has never once failed to fascinate you.
So many people, so many stories, mingling and intersecting for a point in time that some would remember forever and others would rather choose to forget. Children, adults; first time flyers, seasoned vets. Some having the best day of their lives while others were experiencing their worst.
A bunch of shooting stars converging, waiting to pass one another for what was likely the first and last time.
With so much… humanity… packed into one space, your mind tended to give into the romantics. It made you feel small, in the grand scheme of things, but just as important all the same. Every unique experience being lived around you could come together to share this one, unifying moment.
Well, perhaps calling it a “moment” would understate the grueling twelve hour journey you were embarking on…
But regardlessly, within that, you found true beauty.
-
The thing to break you from your pleasant reverie was the hushed sound of an attendant’s voice over the intercom, providing a time check and announcing that the cart of refreshments would be brought around shortly.
You peeked out of the window at your side, taking one last look at the velvety night sky before pulling the cover down and turning away.
Dami’s eyes were shut and her arms were crossed at her chest; she was resting peacefully, just like a majority of the other travelers. The personal lights above everyone’s seats were all dimmed, basking the cabin in comfortable darkness. Some passengers employed the use of the small televisions mounted against the backs of the seats in front of them, and sparse illumination came from others that were on their phones or tablets as well.
But for the most part, the darkness won out.
You watched as a few people woke up, some on their own and others prompted by a jab from their friends or family sitting next to them. They wiped the sleep from their eyes and stretched, reaching down to retrieve their wallets from their carry-ons so that they could buy some snacks.
You pondered for a moment, deciding on whether or not you should wake Dami up. She looked far too comfortable for you to do so and keep a clear conscience, and you knew she needed the rest anyway; the first few stops of the tour had drained her a bit more than she had prepared for.
So you resolved to buy something for her instead. You already knew the foods that she preferred, after all, and she could eat them whenever she naturally woke up. It was a win-win in your mind.
Upon rifling through your bag and grabbing some of the cash you had stashed away, you took a second to admire her. The curve of her face was visible in the low light, soft and as pretty as always, and a small pout pulled at her lips, making her cheeks puff out slightly. It truly took every ounce of self control you possessed to refrain from poking them; but you prevailed in the end.
Her chest rose and fell softly, lulled and gentle like waves lapping on a shore. It brought you comfort just seeing her like that, so cozy and peaceful. She deserved every second of it.
“Miss?” An approaching, hushed voice asked, addressing you.
You raised your head and were met with a pleasant smile from one of the attendants. The aisle’s sidelights were on at her feet, ensuring that her movements were well guided.
“Would you like some refreshments?” She pulled the cart into view and pressed a button, turning the lights of it on so that you could see what each tier had to offer.
You made quick work of choosing and paying, and before long she was quietly thanking you and handing over all of your goodies. Once you successfully got them all and unlocked the small tray attached to the seat in front of you, you pulled it down over your lap and laid everything out to sort.
A minute or so later, once your work was done, you sat back with a happy sigh and snuck a glance at Dami.
Although you had failed to notice it in your previously busy state, it became apparent that she had shifted closer to you. She was curled up a little more, and turned on her side, facing you. It awarded you a perfect vantage point for viewing the subtle smile on her lips; clearly whatever she was dreaming about was good, and that made you happy.
One of her hands had fallen onto the armrest, with her palm upturned towards the ceiling. It peeked out of her sweater paw, tempting you.
You succumbed to your weakness and reached over, carefully intertwining your fingers with her own.
She reacted on instinct, still fully asleep; her hand curled into your slightly warmer one, and a quiet noise of contentment left her. She moved closer once again, and before you knew it her head had found its way to your shoulder, nestling there. Her warm breath fanned out across your neck, almost tickling.
Snacking, you decided, could wait a while. Sleep was creeping up on you, anyway, and moving was no longer an option.
You eased your head down atop hers and settled a little more in the seat, getting comfortable for the both of you. Your eyes fluttered shut as the smell of her shampoo washed over you, and you gently rubbed your cheek against her soft hair, allowing sleep to begin dragging you under.
When you awoke a few hours later, things in the cabin were slightly busier than before. A few more people had rejoined the world of the conscious, and glimmers of hazy, early morning sunlight attempted to shine their way in through the plane’s oval windows.
The tray across your lap had been cleared off and returned to its vertical position, providing room for you to comfortably move around and stretch the tension from your muscles. A blanket was draped over your body as well, courtesy of Dami.
You blinked the sleep from your eyes and lifted your head from her shoulder, finding that somewhere along the way you had traded positions with her. She looked over at you, and her face neared yours in the process.
“Sleep well, baby?” She smiled sweetly, pushing her glasses up a little higher on the bridge of her nose.
You nodded, still not fully alert yet. The fog of sleep weighed heavily on your mind and clouded your senses. Perhaps that explained why when you felt something soft and warm against your thigh, tucked away beneath the blanket, you didn’t immediately register it as her hand.
You peeked over at her illuminated phone screen and discovered that she was in the middle of reading a book.
“How long have you been up?” The question came out as a groggy mumble.
Judging by the opened bag of gummies tucked away in her seat pocket, you guessed it had been at least a few minutes. You were glad to know that she liked what you got her.
Her lips pursed in thought. “Not long. Maybe half an hour or so.”
“Good. I know you needed it.”
“Yeah?” She grinned. “You were out like a light, too, you know.”
Your face twisted into an anticipatory grimace at that. “Did I snore?”
Her head shook lightly as she removed her glasses and put them in her bag, and you visibly relaxed.
“No, sweetheart. But you did get a little fidgety,” she revealed. “I was afraid you were having a nightmare.”
“What made you think that?”
She shot a quick glance around before moving a little closer to you. “Well, for one, you kept saying my name. And it sounded desperate, too, like something big was about to happen.”
Warmth rushed to your cheeks as her explanation sent realization crashing down onto you.
“And you squirmed in your seat, too,” she continued, seemingly oblivious to your embarrassment.
“But when I touched you, you stopped.” She shrugged, and the movement caused her hand to move a little. Her knuckles brushed against your center, just light enough to draw your attention.
“Dami…” you started, before lowering your voice a bit more to spare your own pride, “...I don’t think that was a nightmare.”
When you pulled away enough to get a good look at her face, you witnessed a sinister change take place.
“No?” She toyed, using the lilt in her voice to further tease you. “What else could it have been, then?” The innocence in her smile disappeared, opting instead to rebrand itself as arrogance.
“You already know,” you muttered, blushing a little harder and turning your head away.
Although things in the cabin were more active than before, concealment and deniability were made available by the relative darkness that still remained. It was a decent remedy for your shyness, and you silently thanked your lucky stars for it.
And, for what it was worth, Dami was making sure to keep her voice hushed and her movements covered. Her aim wasn’t to make this unenjoyable for you; she just simply lived for teasing you every now and again… and she couldn’t deny that the thought of public play with you did something to her.
“Mmm,” she hummed, unconvinced. “I don’t think I do, jagi. You’ll have to tell me.”
Her hand worked a little higher on your thigh, caressing the sensitive skin there. Hidden desire guided it, leading her to pull your legs apart a little more and grant herself better access.
But you stopped her, quickly encircling your fingers around her wrist and preventing her from continuing.
“Don’t start something that we can’t finish.”
She chuckled to herself at that.
“Who says we can’t?” She asked, entirely serious, as she brought her face near yours again. Her eyes flitted across your features, taking their time to study them before eventually falling to your lips. Her tongue unconsciously poked out and slid across her own.
“That bathroom is not big enough for us to fuck in.” You asserted.
“I can make you cum right here, Y/N/N. No need to even get up.” She stated lowly, her deep voice full of husky confidence. You drew in a sharp breath at her forwardness, and she noticed the change.
When you shied away again, she took the opportunity to lean in and press a kiss to your neck. Her lips were pillowy against your sensitive skin – soft enough to tickle, even, had the stifling tension between you been absent.
Warmth radiated from her, beaconing you closer. She was right there. She wanted you. She could take you in under five minutes, too, probably, considering how worked up you were already becoming. She could make you feel so good…
Who were you to deny yourself something so perfect?
Your grip on her wrist loosened, slowly but surely, as you handed control back over to her and submitted to whatever fate she had planned.
She kissed the area just below your jawline while simultaneously spreading your legs apart again. Their innocent trembling was obvious – you were inexperienced with sex in this sort of setting – but it only made her smile and fall for you a little more.
"You're precious, jagi," she complimented. "I've got you; don't worry. Just let me help," she coaxed, kissing you again between the words. She switched hands in order to offer a better angle, and you sighed helplessly at the feeling of her fingers fully rubbing up and down your clothed center.
“Go slow,” you pleaded, briefly peering over her shoulder.
Relaxed movements would be easier to cover up if you got caught.
The upturn of her lips against your neck was obvious. “Remember this moment when you’re begging me to speed up,” she teased.
“Just shut up and fuck me.”
She tutted, “You know, maybe you need another nap–”
“Yubin.” Your voice was sharp, full of warning. The two of you truly bickered like a married couple sometimes.
“Alright, Y/N/N,” she giggled a little against your skin, and you felt a small smile growing on your face, too, in time with the roll of your eyes.
Her hand finally slid into your panties, putting distance between your wet skin and the ruined material. When her fingertips parted your folds, she felt just how much arousal awaited her; a quiet, surprised groan slipped out of her mouth at the sensation, and you blushed a little harder in response. She tended to be the quiet type during sex, so even the most subtle of her sounds made your heart pump a bit faster.
“I knew you’d be wet, but this much?” She whispered breathlessly, sounding amazed as she collected more of your slick and circled your clit with her thumb. She toyed with you, fully enjoying the way your body responded so easily to her.
“All your fault.” You struggled out.
Without any further warning, two of her fingers slid into your entrance.
Your walls fluttered in response, enveloping them in their warmth in an attempt to coax them in further. One of your hands instinctively reached out and tangled in the front of her shirt, pulling her in, and the other grasped helplessly at the armrest that it laid across.
“Still so tight, Y/N,” she sighed at how soft you were – how smooth. Her fingers pulled out almost completely, curling on their way, before she eased them back in. She wanted so badly to see you spread out, dripping for her; but she settled, opting instead to focus on every little movement and sound you made as her mind filled itself with images.
A slow grind took control of your hips, aiming to lessen the ache. The motion brought her palm into contact with your swollen clit, and when she noticed, she decided to help. She rubbed it, applying a delicious kind of pressure that made your legs shake a little.
Her free hand grabbed your chin and turned your head, forcing you to look at her. Through the dark, she watched your brows knit together in pleasure. Before you had the chance to bite your lip, you felt hers sliding across it, trapping it between her own.
She kissed you passionately, greedily swallowing up the moan that you let out into her mouth and adding the smallest bit of speed to her movements.
The seat made a squeak beneath you – a product of your grinding growing sloppy. Your fingers weakly tightened in her shirt as you fought your inhibitions; it felt too good to stop or slow down, but you ran the risk of selling yourselves out at this rate.
She bit your lip and pulled away, allowing you a moment to breathe.
“Yu–”
Her name cut off abruptly in your throat when her fingers went even deeper, brushing up against your most sensitive spot in the process. Your thighs clamped around her hand in a desperate attempt to keep her in place and prevent her from slipping away.
“Fuck,” she cursed harshly. “You’re doing so well, baby.”
You pulsed around her at that, and both of you felt it. Sensuality ruled her every move, commanding them just as she commanded your body; but beyond it – beyond that languid, brewing passion – a real sense of need reigned supreme. She was just as desperate to get you to your high as you were to reach it.
Nothing was capable of turning her on as much as watching you come undone for her. The idea alone added a certain, sudden roughness to her movements that had your stomach flipping in excitement.
A kind of turbulence that you never wanted to end.
“Just a–” you sighed, biting back another moan, “...a little more. I’m getting close.”
She took your plea as an order, not stopping for a second. It was hard to restrain herself, but she fought against her more primal urge to pound into you. The tenderness was a nice change, she supposed, as you turned your head further to the side and the warm, flushed skin of your cheek pressed to hers. Your every subsequent whimper and whine traveled right to her ear – the most alluring kind of music.
How could you be so perfect?
“Come on, pretty girl. Make a mess for me.” She commanded lowly, feeling you teeter on the edge of ecstasy. The blanket barely covered her wanton ministrations now.
Somewhere ahead, further up the aisle, a man stood up from his seat. You could see it through the tiny gaps in between the chairs – small flashes of motion that indicated he was turning your way.
It sent an icy streak of panic through you, but, oddly, your body couldn’t stop. Though your mind was pleading to wait – to still Dami’s hand until the potential crisis was averted – your desire overruled it. You grabbed her wrist again, encouraging her to quicken her pace.
She raised a brow, looking between you and the approaching man. He was on his way to the restroom that resided a few rows behind you, she deduced.
“Baby…”
“Just keep going,” you whined, trembling.
She nodded and obediently followed your instructions.
Though being caught wasn’t something you necessarily wanted, the thrill of it brought on an undeniably arousing kind of shame.
Dami’s red cheeks would sell you out immediately, despite the futile excuse her kiss-bitten lips would still attempt to make. Your flushed skin and mussed clothes would further incriminate you, only worsened by her hand in your pants.
Truly, the risky environment excited you far more than you cared to admit. To know that she wanted you so badly in that moment that she didn’t care who knew – who saw – pushed you further and further towards the edge.
The passenger grew increasingly closer – now just a matter of a two or three rows away as he tiredly shuffled his way down the narrow walkway. He greeted a stray few people all the while, bidding them hello.
Dami leaned into you, pressing her lips to your neck. She kissed and sucked at the skin just below your pulsepoint, leaving a mark for you to admire later. She sped up her movements inside of you and eagerly rubbed your aching clit.
“Yubin, I’m–” you struggled out, tightly shutting your eyes.
“Cum, baby,” she directed.
Unable to hold out any longer, you let yourself go, falling into paradise. You sunk your teeth into her shoulder to muffle your whines, and she herself moaned at the sensation.
The man passed by mere seconds after, obliviously nodding in your direction as his eyes sought yours in the dark.
Your body was still tingling as it recovered from the high of your orgasm.
“Morning, ladies,” he said.
“Morning,” you both responded in unison, sounding so out of breath it made you laugh together afterward.
Once he had officially disappeared, you kissed the bite mark on Dami's shoulder as a silent way of apologizing. She smiled as she eased her fingers out of you, making more of a mess in your panties on the way.
“Told you I could get you off,” she whispered through a grin, and kissed your cheek.
You’d never been quite so grateful for the dark.

The light penetrated your vision as it poured out from the large doorway. Gasps of disbelief were heard as Rick raced up to the entrance. The glass doors were heavy but when you pushed them open, a blast of cool air flooded your body.
"Hello?" Rick called into the building, the others spreading out as you all advanced into the building.
Upon first look, it was ominous. For one, the place was completely clean. There was no debris on the floor, no stench of rotting corpses, dead or alive, no blood anywhere to be seen. The high ceilings and windows only intimidated you further. Almost hidden behind Daryl's large figure, you followed him inside, bow drawn.
"Watch for walkers," someone spoke. There wasn't a chance your group would take a step further inside if even one of those dead freaks showed their faces. Where there's one, there's always more, and you knew the group wouldn't take that chance.
Frantic faces glanced about, searching for any sign to retreat out of the building.
How could this place still be standing?
Something was off about it, but you weren't sure what yet.
The unfamiliarity with what you'd seen in this building, versus what the outside world looked like, was unsettling. It concerned you more than the door even opening in the first place.
Clicking of a shotgun sounded from not too far away, your heart skipping a beat at the abrupt noise.
"Anybody infected?" A voice called out, holding a shotgun from down the hall. You didn't see the figure until you moved further into the lobby.
Holy shit. Maybe this is hope, you thought.
"One of our group was. He didn't make it." The sheriff stated, still holding his shotgun out as well.
"Do you see that guy?" you asked Daryl, walking to the side of him.
"Mhm.. don't know what he's got in store for us. But it'll do for now, that's for damn sure." He turned back to you, voice low but still in a mode of suspicion. You shot him a small smile and he turned back.
The man stepped closer, look on his face nervous, but you could tell he didn't want to have to shoot. None of you were infected, which changed his facial tone as he spoke again.
"Why are you here? What do you want?"
"A chance," Rick replied, out of breath from his yelling before.
"That's asking an awful lot these days."
Silence rang out as the unknown man's eyes trailed over every single one of you.
"You all submit to a blood test. That's the price of admission."
Rick nodded fervently, "We can do that."
"Once this door closes, it stays closed," The man said, walking towards Rick, his guard completely down at the moment. He rushed back with him, grabbing whatever bags were left in the vehicles, and entered the building again. As everyone rushes in, the blonde man swipes a keycard at the front entrance and states a command like he would to an assistant.
"Vi, seal the main entrance. Kill the power up here."
Who the hell is Vi?, you thought.
"Rick Grimes." The sheriff introduces himself to the blonde man.
"Dr. Edwin Jenner," he replied with shifty eyes.
Definitely suspicious, you thought to yourself. Shifty eyes, untrustworthiness, yeah. This guy's gonna have to convince me.
Jenner led you all to an elevator, where he let you all squeeze in, before pressing the lowest button of all levels.
Daryl, being the curious man he is, spoke up as the elevator ride turned to a cramped and silent one, "Doctors always go around packin' heat like that?"
He didn't trust good things like this often, always thought it was too good to be true. Though, Daryl was on his guard, ready to pierce an arrow through Jenner's skull if there was any sign of trouble.
"Well, there were plenty left lying around. Familiarized myself," he replied, looking back at all of you, "But you look harmless enough," he said, as he looked at Carl, "Except you. I'll have to keep my eye on you."
The boy smiled at his joke, making you smile a bit too. When you looked over at Daryl, his face was stoic, a version of his own mistrust his shield for the moment.
After piling out of the elevator, Jenner had you all walking down a long hallway. The place seemed like a maze, infinite doors and hallways you couldn't count. You and Daryl trailed behind everyone else, continuously marveling at the state of the place.
"Are we underground?" You asked, chest starting to tighten.
"You claustrophobic?" Jenner questioned, turning around as he walked ahead of the group.
"A little."
"Try not to think about it." He stated, turning back around.
Try not to think about it my ass, you thought, scoffing and continuing to walk with the group. The long hallway led to a massive room, filled with computers and one large screen on the wall.
"Vi, bring up the lights in the big room." Jenner's voice echoed out eerily, the clutter in the room not enough to mask the extensive shape of it.
There's that name again, Vi.
Daryl trudged into the room with you by his side, nervous at what was to come or what Jenner had in store for you all. As if on command, the room lit up with a ring of light hovering above all the computers.
"Welcome to Zone 5."
"Where is everybody? The other doctors? The staff?" Rick questioned, expecting more than just one man to be working at such an extensive place.
"I'm it. It's just me here." A moment of silence rang out as loud as the door opening had been, Lori breaking it with another question.
"What about the person you were speaking with? Vi?"
"Vi, say hello to our guests. Tell them, welcome."
The computer spoke, as if it had a mind of it's own.
Hello guests. Welcome.
You followed the Doctor down another hallway, as he brought you all to another room, one that looked like some sort of conference hall. Everyone took a seat against the wall or in one of the chairs.
"Sit tight, I'll be back with the equipment for everyone's blood tests." Jenner stated, before walking into another room off the one you were already all in.
"Ah shit, I hate needles," Daryl stated, taking a seat on one of the chairs. You scoffed at the irony of his statement.
"You're telling me big, bad Daryl Dixon is afraid of a little needle?" You inquired, turning to him as your weight flopped on the chair next to him.
"Didn't say I was scared, jus' said I didn't like 'em." He played with the strings of his bow as he replied. Sure, he'd been around needles before. But not in a medical context.
"Well, it's not that bad. Just a pinch, and if you're that bothered by it, don't look. That's what I do."
"You tellin' me you're scared of needles?" Daryl scoffed, realizing you two were more alike than he thought.
"All my life I've hated them, not shots at the doctor's, just whenever I needed an IV or blood drawn."
"Uh huh, we're the same then." He said, shrugging as he threw his head back on one of the seats.
"Guess we are." You sighed, doing the same.
Jenner came back into the room with several vials as well as other things he needed to take everyone's blood properly. He sat in the front of the room, as everyone watched the other's blood be taken. You went before Daryl, but he sat by your side, back turned to Jenner as he went on with drawing your blood. Once he finished, you turned to Daryl with a soft smile.
"See? Not so bad." He only grunted in response, taking the seat you'd been in a moment before.
A couple other group members took their turns, but when Andrea was in the seat, she had relentless questions.
"So, what's the point? If we were infected, we'd all be running a fever," Andrea stated from her seat across Jenner, as the vial filled.
"I've already broken every rule in the book letting you all in here. Let me at least be thorough." As soon as he was done, Jenner watched Andrea's light headed state take over, becoming light headed easily after barely any food. "Is she okay?"
"We haven't eaten in days, none of us have." Jacqui replied while helping Andrea sit. The look on his face had enough concern to fill an entire stadium, but he knew how to fix it.
Next thing you knew, you had been brought to a dining hall, sat next to the members of your group, shoveling food and booze into your mouth like there was no tomorrow.
A fit of laughter broke out amongst the people around you, relishing in the wine rushing through your system. Each bite of food was like heaven, filled with flavor and warmth that made you forget how abhorrent the world was outside the walls of the building. The euphoric tone it set for the group had Jacqui throwing her head back in a fit of laughter. You all seemed to be enjoying yourselves, food and drink coursing through your systems.
Your heart felt as full and content as it had once been, a long time before the world fell. It was a genuine, innocent time, one that couldn't be replicated or replaced. You were happy to just be caught in another moment like that after an extensive period without it.
When another fit of laughter broke out, it had been from Carl's reaction to the taste of wine. It brought tears to your eyes with how hard you were chuckling, smile lines beginning to ache from how big you had beamed from across the table.
Daryl noticed the shine from your smile from his seat, as he sat chugging the rest of his wine down.
You were chuckling loud enough for him to hear; he hadn't gotten to hear you laugh, genuinely and completely, ever. This was the first time he'd been lucky enough to do so. He stumbled, getting up to grab a fresh bottle.
"Why don't you stick to soda pop there, bud." Shane spoke.
"Not you Glenn," Daryl retorted, after grabbing another red wine bottle, walking back over to the table.
"What?" The dark haired man replied, cheesing so hard due to the buzz of alcohol in his system that his cheeks hurt.
"Keep drinkin', little man. I wanna see how red your face can get." He smirked, sitting back down at his seat. You burst out in a fit of drunken giggles yourself at Daryl's words. The alcohol in your system might have been distracting you from the horrors you'd seen the past few days, but to know you were there with these people you trusted made every torment wash away.
As you giggled to yourself, your eyes subconsciously found Daryl, sat across the table. His arms were poking out of that yellow plaid shirt, vest adorning his shoulders. His bicep muscles flex, moving ever so slightly, shaking your thoughts when you notice the group's conversation had died down a little.
Though Daryl's indulging himself thoroughly, he isn't blind to how Rick's gaze trails over to Jenner, sitting quietly and watching everyone around him in a corner. A moment later, Rick is clinking his glass and standing up.
"It seems to me, we haven't thanked our host properly."
"He is more than just our host," T-dog replied, raising his wine glass in a toast, causing you all to raise your glasses with him.
"Hear, hear!" Dale exclaims. The clinking of wine glasses overtook the man's words, as the others expressed their appreciation for him.
"Here's to you, doc. Booyah!" Daryl blurted out, the liquor in his system clearly taking over the usual grumpy attitude he always puts up.
It's got you giggling at him, again.
The laughter settles, and Shane starts to speak again. "So, when are you gonna tell us what the hell happened here, doc? All the uh- the other doctors that were supposed to be figuring out what happened, where are they?"
Though, Rick is quick to retort, not wanting to ruin the wholesome moment the group had going.
"We're celebrating, Shane. Don't need to do this now."
"Woah, wait a second. That's why we're here, right? This was your move- supposed to find all the answers. Instead we- we found him. Found one man, why?"
His persistence pisses you off slightly, but the alcohol in your system is too overtaking to have the strength to snap back at him.
Jenner goes on to explain that the rampage of dead walking corpses drove some to up and leave the facility. They hadn't been thinking straight, just wanted to get home to their friends or loved ones and spend whatever time they had left with them. On the off chance that those people didn't leave, some couldn't face the outside world, dead people walking and whatnot. The sheer brutality of it all. Some chose to opt out, as he'd said, taking their own lives in the hallways to avoid letting the terror that walked the streets into their minds. He'd only stayed in hopes of doing some good with what work he continued.
Silence rang out in fault of Shane, for bringing it up during a nice moment.
"Dude, you are such a buzzkill, man."
You all cleaned up the space after eating, then ended up following Jenner down yet another hallway, one filled with rooms available to get some rest in.
If i have to sleep on another cot, I'd just die.
"The couches are comfortable, but there are cots in storage, if you'd like."
Oh, great.
The alcohol is running through your system at such a fast rate that your brain doesn't pick up anything else that Jenner says, until he mentions the showers.
"If you shower, go easy on the hot water."
"Hot water?" Glenn repeats, an overjoyed smile on his face now.
"That's what the man said.." T-dog replied, smiling as well.
He meets your eyes, his bright facial expression turning yours into one as you realize how long it's been since you've taken a shower.
"Oh, hell yeah."
Just the first glance at the shower stall makes a chill run up your spine. After all this time with your guard up in the world you lived in, letting it down for something as simple as a shower made you shudder. The clothes on your body felt welded to your skin, soaked with sweat and dirt and who knows what else, like a filthy dish towel.
In such a way, you hadn't removed your clothing to relax with something like this in so long. To be this unguarded again after so long intimidated you a bit. There was nothing comparable to the vulnerability of a shower.
Every birthmark, scar and mark on your body was still painted on your skin, only covered from a layer of grime, sweat and dirt that built up from the wear and tear of the outside world.
A rush of clean, fresh water fills the room, with the shower turning on. Mist floats onto skin with warm droplets, like spritz of a water spray. It's almost anticipatory, the image of you holding the shower curtain back. To have something this humane after so long felt unbelievable.
A hopeful tone is set as you enter the shower, stepping in with the water beginning to heat up. It hits your feet first, warming them so, that it tickles a bit. With just the flow of water, your mask of filth begins to wash from your skin.
The several months old nail polish was still coated over your toes, realizing how long it's lasted.
You step further under the flow of water, just the aroma of it closing your eyes in relaxation. With your head under the water, you stood silently for a few minutes in the peacefulness of it all. The liquid runs hot, goosebumps rising over your body at the contact. It's warm, familiar, something you haven't known since the world fell. Like a hug from a close relative. Safe.
Having something like this back after so long without it made the moment even more euphoric, as if you'd never be without it again.
When your eyes shoot open, droplets trailing down your lashes, you look to the couple of bottles placed on the shelf. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and an unused razor.
Even before the apocalypse, you hadn't found the desire for relentless hair removal in your top priorities. Sure, you shaved a few parts of your body, armpits and face at times, but didn't bother with your legs or anywhere else. Especially not when there were other things that deserved more attention in these times.
You weren't especially girly, either. Didn't grow fond of dresses or skirts, not even wedding gowns stood out to you. You'd been a tomboy all your life, no reason to change now.
Pouring some of the shampoo into your palms, you massaged it through the crown of your hair thoroughly, the contact of your fingers scratching your scalp heavenly. The shampoo and conditioner both were refreshing to the smell, its lathery substance washing from your hair. A lack of dirt and grime on your skin lifted your mood, still a little tipsy from your wine at dinner, but nonetheless it made you feel completely clean for once. Who knew if you'd have the chance to be this tidy again one day.
Raking fingers through your hair, you wrapped your body up in the one clean towel and changed into your other clothes for the night, a pair of sweatpants and big t-shirt. You packed up the filthy clothing from before and balled it up, throwing it in a different compartment of your duffel. Passing the others in their rooms from the hall, you'd been about to enter the room you were to share with Andrea for the night, only to walk in upon Dale sat beside her next to the toilet.
She'd gotten sick from all she drank, and he'd been comforting her.
"Hey, everything alright?" Dale turned to you at the sound of your voice, look of concern in his eye.
"She drank too much, got sick. On top of everything that she's gone through, overcompensating on the wine wasn't the best idea."
A groan comes from Andrea at his words, still knelt over with her hair pulled back. You refrained from speaking as Dale shook his head.
"Okay.. I'll just find somewhere else to stay, then. Feel better, Drea."
Walking back into the hallway, you tried to find another place to hole up for the night, duffel bag in hand. It wasn't till you reached the end of the hallway, that you spotted Daryl sitting in one of the rooms alone, fiddling with his crossbow. His muscles contracted with every movement, biceps unveiled as they had always been. His shoulders and neck were tense, you noticed, and his eyebrows were furrowed
What's causing your tense state, huh?
He hadn't looked up from his task, whatever it had been, until you knocked lightly at the door.
"Hey, Daryl?"
He finally looked up at the voice coming from the doorway, eyebrows releasing from their furrowed state as he met your eye.
"Oh, hey. wh'sup?" He slurred, still under the influence from wine he'd drank.
"I was supposed to stay with Andrea tonight, but she isn't feeling the best. Could I possibly bunk with you for the night? I'd like some company when I sleep. Don't wanna be alone." You leaned against the door now, droplets from your hair wetting your shirt just the slightest. Daryl was quiet for a minute, noticing the cleanliness of your skin and hair. It was a different look for you, one that showed you to him in a new light.
Chewing on his lip, he nodded with a low mhm, then continued working on his bow.
Walking into the room, you were suddenly hit with an awful scent that made you grimace. Placing your things down, you sat on one of the chairs in the room, while Daryl sat on a cot he'd taken from storage, shirt unbuttoned a bit as his angel wing vest hung on the back of a chair.
"Did you get a chance to shower yet?"
Daryl glanced up again.
It wasn't that he hadn't gotten the chance, it was that he didn't think he needed it. After all the time spent in the woods, covered in filth, he grew accustomed to it. It was comfortable for him, and he couldn't find anything else more safe. The energy of washing all the evidence of survival off his skin- he didn't have that. Daryl didn't want to lose that proof of survival, either. It was easier than wanting to clean himself. So he just didn't.
"Nah, let y'all go first. There prob'ly ain't no hot water left, neither."
Gaze back to his bow again.
Although his eyes wanted to trail back onto your figure, clean and freshly smelling as opposed to his, dirty and filth-ridden.
There's no way she'd go for you, baby brother.
Shaking his head lightly at the thought, he placed his bow down on the floor.
Your head tilted at his action, compassion in your eyes that he couldn't see you had for him.
"Well, I'm not gonna go to sleep until you shower." You said pointedly, getting him to look at you again. There was a smug look on your face, like you knew how to get under his skin.
"Don't. Ya need rest."
"C'mon! Take advantage of the hot water and soap like you did those two bottles of wine, Dixon."
"You're funny, but still no." He rummaged through his bag as if looking for something that wasn't there.
What is it with him? Why is he so stubborn that he's missing out on things that are good for him? Make him feel better?
You sighed, feeling the leather behind you on the chair, an idea popping into your head. Daryl was searching through his bag, so you grabbed the vest from the back of the chair. It was heavier than you thought it'd be, and stunk like cigarettes and motor oil. But it smelled like Daryl.
"Okay, well I didn't wanna have to resort to this." You stood, pulling his attention from the pack, "You've lost vest privileges, Mister Dixon."
"I've lost wha'?"
A confused look on his face turned to an annoyed one as you slipped the vest over your shoulders.
"Cut that shit, give it back. Now." He started to saunter towards you, but you stepped back slightly.
"It was on my chair, and until you shower, it's mine. I'm not staying in here all night if you're gonna stink up the place."
"Then go find somewhere else to sleep!" He yelled, throwing his arm in the air.
"Can't, rooms are all booked. No vacancy! Guess you're gonna have to listen to me after all."
Daryl rolled his eyes, "Don't do that. Seriously- y/n, give it back." He advanced closer to you, not threateningly, but starting to get irritated with you.
"Shower, and you get your precious vest back. Easy as pie." Shrugging, you inspected the vest as it weighed your shoulders down a bit.
"Nah. An' I don't even like pie."
"Ugh, you're so stubborn! Just listen to me, Daryl, a shower can do wonders for relaxation. You certainly need it."
He scoffed, "I am relaxed," eyebrows raising at your words, stepping back from you just an inch or so. His buff arms crossed over his chest, biceps flexing.
"Really? Cause the tension in your shoulders says otherwise." One of your hands rested on your hip now, the other clutching his vest in your grip.
"Stop it. Gimme-" Your hand yanked the vest away from his grasp as he leaned forward again, arm out to grab it from you.
"Daryl, is this about something else? You can tell me, you know." You met his eye, pausing him in his tracks. You knew there was something else, something he wouldn't let come to light, but he couldn't hide it now. Not after you specifically called him out for it. His gaze dropped to the floor before sighing and looking back at you.
"Don't you think this place is for real?" He took a seat on the cot again, shifting his weight and sitting hunched over his legs.
"How do you mean?" You asked, sitting down as well, dropping the vest back onto your chair.
"Like, do ya think we could survive in this place. I mean, there ain't no other doctors here, just Jenner, and I don't think he was tellin' us the whole truth. There's gotta be more to this whole place. I jus'.. don't trust him."
"Yeah, I wanna believe that we can. Daryl, I don't think he's gonna stab us in our sleep, if that's what you're assuming," you chuckled, "He's been kind and let us in, given us food, water, soap, alcohol? Why would he-"
"Exactly. He's given us all this stuff, even a place to sleep. Why would he waste all that shit on us? Cause Rick said we were desperate? Nah. There's gotta be more to it. We're nothin' special."
Nothing special? Me saving you from certain death was nothing?
"We're not?" You repeated, taken aback a little at his statement, "Cause I-I don't think people who are nothin' special survive a horde of walkers, let alone travel all the way here on basically nothing for a slim chance at survival."
How could he just push aside everything the group has been through? Did joining the camp really mean nothing to him? Did-
Did meeting you mean nothing to him?
"I didn't mean it like that. Ain't no society, no 'thing' to be anymore. We're all nobody. Shit went down the drain... day I saw a walker for the first time. Tha's when I knew we were never comin' back from it."
"Daryl, you can't think like that. You're not nobody to me, you're my friend. That makes you somebody. It makes me somebody, makes Rick somebody, Dale, Lori, Carl, even Glenn. This group makes us all somebody to each other, and if that's all we have, then so be it. We can make it through. No matter how long we're alive for. But we've gotta do it together."
Daryl sighed, sitting back against the wall. He went silent, contemplating everything you'd said, and his blue eyes glanced at you before sitting up again.
"Alright," he drawled, "Now, what's a man gotta do to get his vest back?"
A genuine laugh came from you, optimism light in the air for both of you, when he seemed to chuckle as well.
"Well, for starters, you can take that shower.." You mentioned again, a part of you wanting to see what Daryl looked like when he didn't have dirt and sweat plastered across his skin. You wanted to see how his biceps flexed every time he moved, wanted to feel them twitch as he lifted something heavy.
Woah. Has he always been so handsome?
Daryl scoffed, the slightest twinge of a smile making itself apparent on the apples of his cheeks.
"Fine."
He strode out of the room silently, giving you a few moments alone to collect your thoughts and get ready for bed.
Daryl walked down the hallway, passing each of the rooms everyone had settled in for the night. Once he found the showers, he slipped in and kicked off his boots at the door. Dirt cluttered out of the soles of his shoes, not realizing he'd been wearing them for so long.
He met his gaze in the mirror, shying away from his face to the dirt covering his arms and neck. To be quite honest, he did feel disgusting. But he owed it to you for convincing him to even think about showering, let alone doing it again after so long.
Slowly, he undid every button of his sleeveless flannel, tossing it onto the chair in the shower hall. He didn't dare turn around to look at his back, or memories from decades ago would come back to bite him in the ass.
He couldn't. Not now.
To pull himself away from going there, he thought about you, the soft image of you in your sweatpants and t-shirt, damp hair as well as your face illuminated by the lamp light. From what you looked like at camp, till now, was a way different image of you.
You seemed calm, content, okay, given the circumstances.
How he wished he could do the same.
Daryl found comfort in you, tried to hold onto it as best he could, without getting attached. If he did that, it would be over for him. He'd be pining away for the rest of his life.
There was just too much up in the air about Jenner for him to think straight, which almost pulled his focus from you, but he didn't.
Jus' relax for the night, dumbass. Worry 'bout that shit tomorrow.
He began undoing his pants, dropping them to the floor along with his belt. All his thinking about you made his boxers tighten, not becoming apparent to him until he looked down.
Fuckin' serious righ' now?
Stood in only his boxers now, he turned the shower head on. Daryl tried to ignore the confines of his boxers becoming tighter, and only when the water was hot enough did he strip himself from them, and step into the shower.
A low groan left him as the hot water covered the expanses of his body, trickling down the front of his torso, dampening his skin and the wiry hairs on his chest. When he pooled some of the shampoo in his hands and began washing it through his short hair, he squeezed his eyes shut, those pesky thoughts about you and your soft gaze only making it harder to focus on something that wasn't you.
The soft scent of his shampoo, how the water felt against his back.
Nope, nothing was stronger to distract him from the horrors of the outside world, other than you. His thoughts shifted from what you looked like in those clothes, to what you looked like without them. Though he hasn't seen all of your skin, he wished he'd have the privilege to see it one day. To have you in his bed, doing sinful things to make you feel good. To have you call out for him in the name of your pleasure.
Daryl.. Daryl... Daryl...
Your voice was the sweetest of all; behind your spitfire demeanor was that kind-hearted person he met in the woods that day. He knew from the day he saw you that he thought you were beautiful. Perfect, even. Like no one he's ever met before. Especially not someone he knew because of his brother.
How, he thought, how could someone like you become a person in his life? He thought he sure as hell didn't deserve it, someone kind willing to talk to him, be around him, listen to him talk?
Can't get attached.
The left over suds of shampoo trailed down his body, reminding him of the reason his boxers were tight. His gaze finally trailed down there, now apparent of how caught in a daze he's been over you.
Can't walk back in there with a hard-on, either... man, fuck it.
Daryl decided to indulge himself just this once.
Once, and it'll never happen again, he told himself.
The satisfaction washed over him when he'd finished entertaining himself over filthy thoughts of you. When that was gone, guilt came creeping over him like a devil on his shoulder.
Got no fuckin' right, thinkin' 'bout her like that. I got a better chance gettin' to the moon than ever gettin' them. She don't want some redneck trash deadbeat Dixon.
As he turned the water off, he stepped out of the shower, grabbing a towel hanging on the wall. He dried himself accordingly, draping it over his shoulders as he pulled on his dirty clothes he'd tossed to the side before. Steam from the hot shower clouded the mirror, walking up to it again.
He looked different, soaking wet hair, face bare of dirt or sweat or walker blood. All of the sudden, he felt his eyelids droop just the slightest bit.
Guess the shower did somethin' right, can't wait to hit the sack now.
He trudged back to the room he shared with you, where he saw you sat with a book in your hands. First glance at you like that made his heart drop, thinking you'd found his journal, was reading all of his intimate thoughts, broken his trust. But no.
You'd picked out one of the books in the recreational room, which Jenner mentioned was full of games and books for anybody's use. Once you'd spotted the shelf of classic literature, you couldn't help yourself.
The place had every story you could imagine, Emma by Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice, Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, even The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
Safe to say you grabbed a couple of the ones you were familiar with, and one or two you hadn't read. You started with Of Mice and Men, but stopped when you remembered the ending.
Although once you picked up The Great Gatsby, you couldn't put it down. It was one of those novels that made you want to live in the 1920's, just for the fashion. Flappers and the massive growth in modernization always fascinated you. Prohibition, though, never seemed ideal.
Before you headed back to your room, you thought on what Daryl had said about not trusting Jenner. He was right, in a sense. Jenner wasn't telling the whole truth, and there was no knowing what else he'd been hiding about the place. It all seemed eerie, but you remembered to bring it back up to Daryl before you both fell asleep.
You'd been reading silently, when you heard the familiar thump of Daryl's boots down the hall. Everyone else had turned in for the night, hallway dimly lit by other sources.
"Welcome back, wow you smell exquisite." You laughed, peeking up from the book in your hands.
"Pfft, stop." Daryl sat back onto his cot, blanket splayed across it. He hadn't known how to start conversations properly, especially not after doing what he just had in the shower. Thinking about you in a way he shouldn't have.
His flannel was unbuttoned, tiniest sliver of his torso visible, falling further apart as he leaned back. It began to pull back further, but you stopped looking before getting caught.
Get your head out of the gutter.
"Feeling relaxed, now?"
He chewed on his lip silently, giving you a low mhm, as he shoved off his boots onto the ground, kicking his feet up on the cot. The hairs on his chest were slight, but still visible.
"So, I've been thinking about what you said. About Jenner." You closed the book over on your thumb, Daryl lifting his head from the pillow.
"You were right, we can't trust him. He's shady, and probably hiding more things than we thought. We gotta grill him for info, tomorrow or something. It's the only way we'll get the truth. You know?"
"Don't know if Rick would be cool with it.. much less anyone else. But we are gonna find out what he ain't tellin' us. I can promise ya that."
"Good enough for me," you said, standing up and placing the book on the couch, "Alright, well I'm gonna go brush my teeth. Carol stopped by while you were in the shower and gave you and me toothbrushes and toothpaste. Swear I've never been so ecstatic in my life."
You chuckled before leaving the room, slight smile on Daryl's face, one you couldn't see. One he wished for you to see. One he grew a liking to plastering across his face because of you.
Groaning, he laid back on his cot, before realizing he hadn't journaled yet today. A hand darted out to his pack, shifting through his belongings to find another shirt for him to wear, and his journal.
Day nine
Somehow we made it to the CDC. It looked like another dead end at first, bodies scattered all over the place. Some doctor let us in, Jenner. Y/n rode with me the whole way on my bike. I think she sees me, like really sees me. Strange, feelin' like someone cares about me for who I am. Never expected that from anyone, not even her. She's stupid to care about me, and I aint no good, neither. Spent the night eatin' real dinner and drinkin' real booze with the group. Thought the night would conclude with me passin out drunk. Then y/n asked to stay with me. She would'a stayed with Andrea, but since she wasn't in the best place, she came to me instead. Even convinced me to shower. Weird how much she affects me already. Rubbed one out jus' thinkin' about her. Fuckin' dumb thing to do. I ain't got no right feelin' that way about her. She's a friend, never gon' be anythin' more.
With that, he closed the journal, tossing it back into his bag and replacing his older shirt on his body with a somewhat clean one before you came back. Daryl attempted to get himself to actually relax, and once his head hit the pillow, the same fatigue that washed over him in the bathroom returned to his head.
Though he was laying to face the wall, he heard the slight pitter patter of your feet approaching the room from down the hall. You entered silently, closing the door and shutting off the light.
Silence was present in the room, and he thought you'd passed out, until you heard you speak.
"You're a good man Daryl. You may not see it, but I do. I don't know what you've been through, but whatever walls you put up, you'd better think about taking them down."
That was the last thing he heard before drifting blissfully off to sleep.
The next thing Daryl could focus on was a splitting headache, one he'd gotten from his lovely two bottle of wine drunk. Relentlessly, he tried to make it go away, but sleep didn't come as easily as it once had. His instinct was to get up and turn on the light, but paused when he remembered you were in the room with him. If he turned the light on, you'd wake up and lose some of your rest that you very much needed.
Daryl's hand darted out from the covers to his pack, grabbing the flashlight and his journal from it as he stood from the cot. Cracking the door open, there was a small source of light coming from down the hall. Once he clicked his flashlight on, he began striding down the hall.
He came across the rec room, void of any people. One of the clocks read 4am, which meant he'd been asleep for about 4 hours at most. Once he sat, he opened another page to his journal and started a new entry.
Day eleven
It's 4 am. Only know cause there's a clock in this rec room. Had to take a walk. Made me feel like shit for leaving y/n alone when she asked for company while she slept. I'm gon' go back, just needed a minute to clear my head. I don't completely trust Jenner, he's hiding something. Definitely more to what he told us. I've been tryin to keep these people safe best I can, so if there is something else goin on here, I've gotta find out. Don't wanna lose any more people. Can't. Won't. Them undead pricks won't stop me. Won't stop us. I'll do whatever it takes, for this group.
Once he'd finished, he shut the book and headed back to the room to find you still asleep on the couch. Sleep washed over him a while after he laid down again.
The rough knock on the door was loud enough to shake you from your slumber, reading the clock in the room that said 8:45. Daryl snored lightly from across the room, chest lifting with each breath. He looked peaceful, laying under the covers of his cot like it was the best sleep he'd gotten in years.
You wondered what it would be like to actually wake up next to him in the mornings, brush the hair from his face and leave a soft kiss on his cheek before rising for the day.
But you couldn't, and you thought you never would.
You rose silently, letting the archer catch a few more minutes of rest while you put on clothes for the day, and slipped your boots on again, brushing your fingers through your hair to calm some of your bedhead. The mirror on the wall helped, as you rubbed the sleep from your eyes. You remembered to pack both toothbrushes and toothpaste from the previous night, before walking over to Daryl, fast asleep on his cot.
"Hey, psst. Daryl," You poked his chest once, twice, three times before his eyes fluttered open.
"Wha-"
"C'mon, they're making breakfast. I can smell that bacon from all the way in here. Maybe we can find out what Jenner's keeping a secret today, too."
He groaned, sitting up and rubbing his eyes, still half asleep. You glanced at him from where you stood by the mirror, he looked adorable, even in his drowsy state. You noticed the darker color shirt he was wearing, the top buttons undone, chest hairs visible. You could've sworn you saw a tattoo poking out from his left pec.
Before you could stare any more, his eyes opened fully, pulling himself off the cot. His pants were unbuttoned, a sliver of his boxers visible as he stood. You tore your eyes away from him, although you wanted to look more.
Daryl cleared his throat, buttoning his pants as you combed your hair in the mirror. He walked towards you, turning back to him.
"Ready?"
"As I'll ever be."
The door opened, light beaming from the hallway. Some of the group had already exited their rooms, hearing their chatter from down the hall. The two of you walked into the room you had all ate in the night before, smell of bacon and eggs filling the place.
"Eggs, powdered, but I do 'em good." You hear T-dog say, walking over with a pan in his hand. "Protein helps the hangover."
Glenn, on the other hand, is sat upright, head in his hands, groaning loudly for everyone to hear.
"Morning, everyone." You stated, taking a seat next to the dark haired man, Daryl sitting next to you. A few others said good morning back, others too caught up in their hangovers to speak. Rick looked about as bad as Shane did, but not as terrible as Glenn looked.
Lori glanced up at you, her eyes shifting to Daryl as you took a plate and served yourself, "Eventful night?"
"What? No- I just read some books and went to sleep." You chuckled, trying to break the awkward tension floating in the room.
Rick picked up a pill bottle from the table, asking Lori about it, responding with, "Jenner thought we could use it. Some of us, at least."
"Ugh, don't ever, ever, ever let me drink again."
The group conversed lightly as everyone woke up, sipping their coffee and eating their meal. You stood to grab some coffee as Jenner walked in.
"Morning."
"Hey, doc."
You saw Andrea nod to Dale, turning towards Jenner in his chair.
"Doctor, I don't mean to slam you with questions first thing-"
"But you will anyways."
"We didn't come here for the eggs," Andrea states.
Jenner brought you to the same big room again, standing in front of the screens while he spoke a command to the computer: Give me playback of TS-19.
Displayed on the monitor was the playback he requested, closing in on an internal view of a brain, along with other pieces of data. Jenner demonstrates that the lights flowing through a much closer-up image, was someone's life; their experiences, memories, thoughts- it was everything. He continued rambling on about the test subject, someone who was infected by a bite, but volunteered to have the process recorded for research.
Scanning to the first event per his request, the playback began to display the doctor's research, as the lights in the brain began to flicker rapidly, fading to darkness quickly after. Solemn expressions plagued the room upon hearing Jenner's analyzation of the infection's course.
A moment later, he scans to the second event, playing back on the monitor the same as it had before.
What Jenner calls resurrection points reveals itself to be that moment of reanimation you'd watched in Amy, two days prior, not to mention the individuals you saw on the road before finding your group.
The same brain flickers with red light, hearing that it restarts the brain stem, only lasting a few seconds before its termination occurred. You and Daryl shared a confused look, silence ringing out loud enough to hear a pin drop.
Andrea puts two and two together and questions Jenner yet again, only this time it's on account of not having a clue as to what the virus is.
"There has to be somebody who knows something. Somebody, somewhere.."
"I've been in the dark for almost a month, but I hear France was the longest to hold out. But that's as far as I know."
That was the moment your heart dropped. You inhaled sharply, losing the grasp you had on any hope left.
"Man, I'm gonna get shitfaced drunk, again."
At that point, you might as well have joined him, if there really was nothing left anywhere in the world. It was all gone.
Your vision filtered out of focus, room beginning to spin as you lost any strength you had in your legs, as your body hit the cold marble floor.
It felt as if a moment passed where your eyes were fluttering open, attempting to push yourself up with the help of your forearms. Your head pounded, each voice muffled as you went to grasp at your head that was now throbbing in agony.
As the aching settled a moment later, you were finally able to clear your foggy vision on the person crouching before you, Daryl.
"You alright?"
"I- uh, what happened?"
"You fainted, sure ya not still drunk?"
"N-No, just-"
The recollection of what you had just been told by Jenner became apparent in your mind, the horror flooding through your head once more.
"There's nothing left, is there?" Your voice weakened, not sure whether to be bothered with the way four of the group's men just ran out of the larger room in a panic.
"C'mon, lemme get ya back to the room, 'kay?"
Nodding, he pulled you up, draping your arm across his shoulder with your head still pounding. Daryl brings you to the couch you'd slept on the night before, as he lets you sit down on it.
"You think Jenner was serious? About there being nothing-" You inhaled again, unsettled feeling coating your stomach at the thought.
Daryl stood chewing on his thumb, now pacing back and forth, "Ain't sure, 'specially not with the way he went quiet." His pacing became aggressive, grabbing the bottle of whiskey on the ground that he'd apparently put near his cot the night before.
Your conversation was cut short after hearing a commotion about the air shutting off in the rooms.
Why is the air off?
What's going on?
Voices echoed from outside the room, Daryl peeking out of it with the bottle still in his hand. Jenner was the one being questioned relentlessly by the members of your group as he treaded down the hallway.
Why's everything bein' turned off?, you hear Daryl say as Jenner walks right by him and swoops the bottle of liquor from him, taking a swig. He follows Jenner out the door, quickly rising from the couch to follow him and the rest of your group on the quest for answers.
Energy use is being prioritized, he replied, admitting to not having any control over the building's programming. Zone 5 is shutting itself down.
Daryl's frustrated state grows with annoyance, fed up with the doctor's vague answers and wanting some real ones.
"Hey, what the hell that mean, huh? Man, I'm talkin' to you! What'd you mean it's shuttin' itself down? How can a building do anything?"
"You'd be surprised."
Another vague answer.
The computers were programmed to be the very last thing kept running until the power grid shut down completely, beginning at the half hour mark of a digital clock with large red numbers, counting down the minutes.
What the fuck... what happens at zero..
"Let me tell you something-" Shane bolts towards Jenner but Rick stops him before he can get any closer to the doctor.
"To hell with it, Shane. Lori, get our things- everybody, get your stuff, we're getting out of here, now!"
That was the sign you'd been scared of getting, one that meant retreat in the most devastating way. Heart racing, you all turned for the door, until a loud alarm sounded out, startling you even more.
Thirty minutes to decontamination, the computer played out.
"Doc, what's going on here?" Daryl yelled, straining his own throat at the looming unknown of what was to come in those thirty minutes.
Suddenly, the hallway you'd been heading towards was being blockaded by an automated door, and by the looks of it, there was no getting through it.
"Did he just lock us in?" Glenn spoke, "He just locked us in!"
Anger overtook Daryl in a wave, throwing himself towards Jenner with every intention of beating his face into the ground, only to be ripped away from the chance, getting pushed away from him getting any closer.
"I told you, once that door closed, it wouldn't open again. You heard me say that."
"It's better this way."
"What is? What happens in 28 minutes?!" Rick questioned incessantly, standing a few feet away from the doctor.
Jenner had gone off on one of his rambling tangents again, only this time it was in a fit of rage, attempting to make the group realize why this place was built the way it was.
"In the event of a catastrophic power failure, H.I.T's are deployed to prevent any organisms from getting out."
"H.I.T's?"
"Vi define-"
H.I.T's: high-impulse thermobaric fuel-air explosives.
It continued on to state how they'd be set off as the timer runs out, lighting the air on fire with its two step process. Gasps of horror and cries filled the air as the computer had all but handed you each a death sentence on a silver platter.
A chill rushed down your spine at the realization: every single one of you was going to die.
No chance of survival desired by the effect the explosives had promised. They would set the air on fire.
Some of the group clutched their loved ones in their arms desperately, while others only stood around, any hope they still held washing away from their expressions.
We're all going to die here, you thought. There's nothing left, anywhere. We were doomed from the start. How could we be so stupid? So ignorant? So filled with hope and determination to make the world better for us, to survive, when there's nothing out there that could fix this? Nothing that could make it better?
Any hope you'd still clung onto was pooling out of your body in a pile of unseen ambitions and delusions you'd foolishly looked forward to for the future.
Daryl's anger only burned, a forest fire that only grew larger with every time he yelled out for the doctor to open the door. You sat crouched against a wall, huddled with the rest of your group that wasn't doing everything they could to release the door.
We're fucked. We're so fucked.
"You should've left well enough alone. It would've been so much easier." Jenner stated, the men still throwing themselves at the door.
No, no, no. This doesn't make anything easier.
"Easier for who?" Lori spoke, offended with his words that were so clear of an attempt to pull you all back from this realization.
"All of you. You know what's out there-a short, brutal life, and an agonizing death."
His words, although speaking from a scientist's point of view, began to sink in, but not in a way that sent death to your door terrifyingly.
The words of your group members were muffled, focusing on your heart beating so infuriatingly fast, until you heard: Those doors are designed to withstand a rocket launcher.
The next words you heard were the heated ones coming from a familiar voice.
"Well, your head ain't!"
You glanced up from your lap, viewing how Daryl threw himself at the doctor, once more getting pushed away from the man before inciting violence on him.
There's always hope, you heard Rick say, Maybe not here, but somebody, somewhere-
No, there's not. Not anymore, you mumbled to yourself.
Within his rage, Daryl managed to take a few deep breaths, eyes trailing over to where you sat. His focus changed from the situation at hand to the frail state of your body, legs pulled to your chest and hands shaking with every move they made.
"What part of everything is gone do you not understand?"
This is our extinction event.
After an outburst from Shane resulting in him shooting several of the computers, then Jenner, with a shotgun, you only felt more despair fill your chest. It made you raise from the floor in fear of getting run over. The state of everything had already converted people to such evil, why would you want to live in a world like that?
"I think you're lying."
"What?"
"You're lying about no hope. If that were true, you'd have bolted with the rest, or taken the easy way out. You didn't. You stayed when others ran. Why?"
"Not because I wanted to. I made a promise," Jenner stood from his chair at Rick's questioning, pointing to the monitor, "To her. My wife. She begged me to keep going as long as I could. How could i say no?"
Bang.
Daryl was at the indestructible door again, sending blows down on it with an axe.
"She was dying."
Bang.
"It should've been me on that table."
Bang.
"I wouldn't have mattered to anybody. She was a loss to the world."
Bang.
"Hell, she ran this place. I just worked here. She was an Einstein. Me, I'm just Edwin Jenner."
"Your wife didn't have a choice. You do. That's- that's all we want- a choice, a chance."
"Let us keep tryin' as long as we can," Lori stated, with Carl in her arms. The tone in her voice made you break a little, but there was no changing what your fate had decided.
"I told you, topside's locked down. I can't open those." Jenner walked past Rick and the others to another computer, swiping a keycard and pressing a few buttons on a pad with numbers.
Just like that, the door opened.
Daryl was the first one to yell out, being he was closest to the door.
"C'mon!" He started out the door, but entered again when he realized you hadn't followed.
You felt empty, the fight for hope dwindled to just ashes, somewhat like and end to the blazing fire of life, living, surviving. The whole world was gone, and there was nothing to be done about it. All the feeling from your chest faded away.
"I'm grateful."
"The day will come when you won't be."
Gasps and desperate yells sounded out from the group, alerting the group of their one passageway out of the building. While everyone grabbed onto each other, you stood in place.
Glancing around the room through tear-brimmed eyes, you noticed not everyone had bolted out the door, either.
Jacqui and Andrea stayed in place as well.
"Y/n! What're you doing? Let's go!" He bolted towards you, only watching as he approached with a solemn face.
"I-I can't. You go."
"Wha- n-no. I ain't lettin' ya. 'M not just leavin' you here."
"Yes, you are, Daryl."
She's not in her right mind, the coercion of Jenner's words had gotten to you, he thought.
"Hey! we've got four minutes left! C'mon!" Glenn yelled out, still stood by the door with Carl and a few others, as Lori pulled Rick out the door.
T-dog tried to bring Jacqui with him, only to be shoved away.
"No, I'm staying. I'm staying, sweetie. I'm not ending up like Jim and Amy. There's no time to argue, and no point if you wanna get out."
"Just go." You whispered, walking a few steps from Daryl.
How could he tell you why you dying would be the worst thing that would happen to him? It would rip him apart, piece by piece until he only became a shell of himself.
"I can't, you know I can't. I'm not leavin' you here." He only followed after you, not having the right words to say to you in a hopeless time like this. "You were the one that told me there was hope, remember?"
"Daryl-" you started again, kicking at the debris on the ground.
"Nah. Listen to me. I ain't goin' if it's not with you."
"You're insane," you scoffed, arms crossed over your chest.
"And you're not? Come on, there's always somethin' to fight for. Just gotta find it. How can ya if you ain't with us? We're gonna do it, make the world better. If we can't do anythin' about the geeks, we can only do it in spite of 'em."
Your eyes glimmered with fear, but he could've sworn he saw a light of hope, so he continued.
"You can find somethin' new to fight for, I swear on my fuckin' life. I can't-" Daryl sighed, "I can't lose you. I won't. You mean too much to me. You're my only friend, the hell 'm I gonna do with you gone? If you're not around, I got nothing to fight for. Nothin'."
Daryl's voice broke amidst the other conversations.
That was the moment his eyes met yours, flicking to light the fire of survival in you once again. Tear filled eyes met his, pulling him in for an embrace, and against his skin, you whispered.
"Okay. Let's go."
With that, you both ran for the doorway, pushing the ticking clock of death away with every patter of your footsteps. Eventually, you'd gotten to the front of the building, where the rest of your group was figuring out how to exit the building. Glenn spotted you and Daryl coming closer towards them all, a slight smile on his face.
Their methods of getting the window's glass to break had failed, until Carol rushed towards Rick, pulling something from her bag.
A grenade.
Once he got close enough to the glass, he pulled the pin, urging everyone to step back to be guarded from the blast. You all but threw yourself far enough away, hearing the effect of the blast shatter the glass with a loud boom.
You all dashed out of the window, spotting the vehicles down the road from where you'd parked them. Walkers had heard the blast and began to approach, only to be taken down by bullets from your group. Once you reached Daryl's bike, you looked back at the building one last time, before it was blown to pieces.
Two figures emerged from the broken window, Andrea and Dale.
You heard Lori yell from the RV to get down, both you and Daryl crouching behind the Winnebago before the blast rang out.
All you heard a few seconds later was the massive explosion of the building, along with a wave of heat that radiated all the way over to you all. Daryl panted, looking at you before hopping on his bike, starting the engine. Hopping on behind him, the engines of each vehicle sounded out, as they began to drive away.
You clutched onto Daryl's torso as the bike engine began, shuddering breaths filling your chest. Before he began driving, you tapped his shoulder.
"Daryl, thank you for getting me out of there. You're right, I do have something to fight for."
His eyes lightened, nodding before pulling his weight off the ground and driving the bike away from all the wreckage.
You'd found something- better yet someone to fight for, and it happened to be the very archer your arms wrapped around.
You chose to fight for him, of all things.
Just as hard, he'd chosen to fight for you.

Hello !! I love your writing so much !! I was wondering if we could have a part three for Notice me where Allura finds out that your with Keith and she orders you to break up!! Can you please make it a happy ending ?? Thank you !! Stay safe and healthy !! Its okay if you dont want to do this.
Hi, I am deeply sorry, this has been a busy month for me and I thank you for being so patient. I loved this request! I thought I gave Allura a bad rep in my previous stories, so I also wrote a happy ending for her. I also apologize if this isn't what you had in mind, I got a bit carried away. But anyway, thank you so much for requesting and I hope you have an awesome day!
Notice me - Part 3
Opening inspired by this scene from Howls Moving Castle
Tumblr media
A shooting star, befallen from the sky. A flurry of warm and colorful light. You took a chance and chased after it, across a moonlit field. Eyes ablaze in a curious wonder, whilst gazing up at the stream of wishes and dreams bulleting across the sky. You were warned not to engage in such childish things, but as you grew closer, as the light shone brighter. Such notions just disappeared. You rushed after it, catching it just before the ground. Now you had, a shooting star befallen from the sky. So warm and bright. Now that I have it, it will forever be mine, you thought to yourself. But be careful dear reader for once you have something so wonderful, so precious, there are those who will wish to destroy it.
low laughter and shushing rung from the infirmary door, if anyone were to walk past, they’d know exactly who the culprits were. Keith sat upon the counter, his arm tangled in white bandages and face painted rose. You stood below him, gently fiddling with the long stretches of cotton whilst having to hush his and your own laughter.
“Your terrible at this” He remarked. Bluntly.
You laughed, struggling to untangled the multitude of knots you made. “J-just wait”
“Mhm, okay” he smiled, head angled towards the ceiling. These feeling were so new to him, having someone to tease, smile at and adore. It was a fluttering foreign thing, but a thing he’d now welcome. After falling in love beneath that twilit sky, you two had done far more exploring. He offered to teach you how to spar, going for secret joy rides in the red-lion, you taught him of the kingdoms that planets had, the people that lived there. He told you stories of earth, promising to take you there, even then he taught you what a pinky promise was.
Recalling these memories he directed his gaze back to you, stygian eyes swirling in warmth. “I love you Y/N” He called out, roping you from your task.
You shyly ducked your head, hair falling around your soft face.
“I love you too Keith” You whispered, smaller fingers grasping on to his hand, placing a kiss against his knuckles. His breath hitched, meeting your starry gaze. The way you looked at him, adoringly, it made heart drum fast and his blood go warm.
“Do you need any help?” he asked, his right hand coming over to the bandage. You gave him a nod, copying his actions. You sat in a tender moment, silently wrapping the white around his injured arm.
“have you spoken to Allura yet?” Then the moment was broken.
You let out a defeated sigh, still staring at his hand, in thought.
“I tried...”
“And?”
“I asked her what her thoughts on love were” You brought two pieces of the cotton together. “She said it is a foolish thing” You tightly pulled them together, tying a secure knot on Keith's arm. He watched as your brows furrowed, gentle hands grasping at the table.
“Why must she be this way?” You asked, eyes alight in frustration.
“Why must who be this way?” A voice snapped, the door hand been pushed open, revealing a hidden pair of aqua eyes.
Earlier, whilst Keith and Y/N had scurried into the infirmary, Allura had been searching for you. She was the only one who didn't know of your relationship, the rest of the team were told to keep their mouths shut. And for good reason. Allura didn't want distractions. Allura didn't want giddy romance. Allura didn't want there to be love. at least, that’s what everyone was told.
“Have any of you seen Y/N” she called, drawing the attention of lance.
“Pretty sure she’s in the infirmary”
“Why?” She quickly asked, her voice laced in worry.
“Um, I'm not sure”
“Okay, thank you” she nodded at him before making her way. Had something happened to you? Were you okay? Her pace quickened.
Allura knew she presented herself as a cruel mistress towards you, often scolding you and putting you down. But in truth, she was afraid. Afraid of the vast universe now presented to her. Filled with war, filled with pain. In a inky mass so dense with stars she could easily lose you. She couldn't lose you.
Before all of this, in a much simpler time. When you were both but small children, giggling in a field of endless flowers, smiling and talking for hours. Back when every secret was shared, back when you both cared. Back when you would apologize and make up, back when tears could be dried and it would be okay if you cried. Back when she was your big sister.
“Allura!” You gasped, releasing your touch on Keith’s arm.
“What are doing?” she asked, voice low, filled with a sinking rage.
“I-I, I'm just...” You looked towards Keith, his coal eyes reflecting back your own worried ones. You swallowed down the trembling inside you, deciding this couldn't go on.
“I'm helping my boyfriend with his arm” You replied, standing but only a little taller. “Is there a problem” your voice was cold. “Cause if there is you can tell me" You held nothing back, not any more.
“Why...” She whispered.
“Why? Why because I love him!-”
“Why didn't you tell me?” her voice wobbled; hand placed against the door frame. You and Keith turned to each other; eyes wide with confusion.
“Why would I?” You asked, softening your tone whilst approaching your older sister.
“Because you always do!” She cried. “Y/N, you're not little anymore, I know, I know you want things that I don’t, I know you love him!”
You were confused. Allura was confusing. She didn't want this for you yet she wanted you to tell her about it?
“Y/N” she drew you and Keith's attention.
“I didn't want you to leave me behind” This truth sunk into you, just as you sunk your arms around her.
“I'm not going to” you hugged her closer. Tears staining your shoulder as you told her this. Despite the rage you both festered inside for one another, you could put it aside for this moment. You would discuss her methods of keeping you from Keith later.
Her eyes fluttered open, scarlet in tears, and she peered towards your love. They looked at each other for once with an understanding. An agreement that no matter anything Keith would take care of you. This was the only thing they managed to agree on. But for now, that’s good enough.

Hey! How would Sniper be like with a partner who already has a kid (for my OC it's a 7 year old kid) but you can be as general as needed. Thanks!
─ Found Family
General Red/Blu Sniper Headcanons/Short
• genre: romantic
Tumblr media
• Before the two of you started dating, Sniper already suspect you had your own family from how from time to time he'd caught you making private phonecalls with your friends or family mentioning a name.
• But he hadn't really assume you had a kid or anything, he merely thought you were just calling your younger cousins or something.
• So when you both finally started dating, he was rather suprised upon hearing that you already have a child. At first, he was taken aback at the thought of being a father- but after some discussions and sleepless nights pondering about this whole thing, he decided to not be a coward and accepted it.
• You were the greatest thing yet to be in his life, he'd be an idiot to ditch you just because of a small matter. When sniper told you that he would like to meet your child, his heart warmed seeing you enthusiastically talk about the great times you three would have.
• Would make a call to his parents, telling them and asking what he should do. Though it didn't do much help as his mother starts to happily throw questions about the child at him and his father only yelled at him to act like a good dad. Which all of this resulted him to become embarassed.
──
• While Sniper waits at a park, he could only wonder about how your child will act towards him. Will they hate him? What if they're scared of him? What if they haven't got over their previous father?
• He's admittedly nervous and seems to overthink too much. But when he hears his name being called and he sees you walking towards him, his thoughts temporarly vanish as he reminds himself why he's doing this.
• Initially your kid was a little frightened of him, and he became worried. But with your help and encouragement, they finally starts to get around. At first he feels awkward but soon you three were having pleasent conversations.
• The three of you decides to go to a carnival and do various things, shooting down aliens, grabbing caramel apples, riding bumper cars, and overall just having a blast.
• After that, he invites you both to his camper to drive around and stare at the stars. Your kid fell asleep on his lap and you smile softly as you stroke their hair and whispered to him that you're glad that he's happy and enjoys his time with you and them. He couldn't think he could be anymore happier.

Choices!Series Part Seven: Partners in Crime - Nestor Oceteva x Reader (feat: Johnny 'Coco' Cruz & Marcus Alvarez)
Tumblr media
Tagging: @annetje @anime-weeb-4-life @danzer8705 @drabbles-mc @alwaysachorusgirl @witches-unruly-heart @mysoulisasunflower @im-just-a-mississippi-girl @est1887 @the-wandering-lunatic
Part One: First Date (NSFW) - Nester and you have an unusual first date.
Part Two: Familia - (Feat: Marcus Alvarez) - Marcus discovers your relationship.
Part Three: Fair Trade - Miguel makes a proposal.
Part Four: Slaughterhouse Rules - Nestor has to watch the show.
Part Five: Stay With Me - Nestor deals with the aftermath.
It’s warm as fuck and Coco’s smoking a cigarette on the porch of the clubhouse when Marcus appears alongside of him. It’s been a while since the two of them have crossed paths, not since Marcus left the club to ride with the cartel. Coco can’t say he gets it, but Marcus is his own man and Coco respects that. There’s always a place here if he wants it.
“Padrino.” He greets, taking a drag of his cigarette. He holds it for a second before exhaling.
“Coco.” Marcus nods as his elbows come to rest upon the white wooden railing. “Have you heard from her?”
Coco frowns, tilting his head towards Marcus as he taps the ash from the cigarette.
“Nah, not for a couple of months.” He tells the other man quietly. “Not since she was last in San Padre.”
They both know who he’s talking about.
The world knows you as El Cuchillo but to Coco you’re just the girl he shoots guns in the desert with. Someone he’s spent nights under the stars, sharing war stories and a spliff. The girl who’d got shot in the ass because she’d partnered up with a shitty sniper and ended up with a better one.
You’d worked with the club before, when they needed something more covert, someone less visible. It didn’t hurt that you were easy on the eye, men tended to let their guard down when they had the attention of a pretty girl. You had assets their members didn’t.
You took pride in your work and Coco could appreciate that. It’s why he enjoyed working with you, that and the 25% you paid him when you needed someone to watch your back. The deal was you kicked 10% to the club when you required his services. It was a discounted rate compared to what they charged others. Your father had been the Secretary of the club before he’d been taken out by a drunk.
He remembered the first time the two of you decided to partner up. You bent over a table in his girl Stitch’s clinic, glaring at him as she pulled a bullet out of your ass.
“You get what you pay for.” He’d smirked as he spun in the office chair. “You pay a shitty rate you get a shitty sniper, one that apparently shoots his own partner in the ass. Where the fuck did you find him? Craig’s List?”
“Well he’s on the shit list now, nobody will ever be using him again.” You tell him, hissing as Stitches pried the bullet out. “Fuck.”
“Sorry.” Stitches murmured, her voice low and soothing. “It’s embedded in the muscle so I’m gonna have to poke around. The upside though you get a badass scar, pun intended.”
“I hate you so much right now.” You huffed, your chin coming to rest upon your arms.
“You’re gonna hate me even more in five minutes.”
You groaned out loud as Coco rose to his feet before removing the spliff from his pocket and lighting it. The sweet, earthy scent flooded the makeshift clinic.
“Here.” Coco said, handing it over to you. “Something for the pain.”
You took the joint from his fingers before placing it between your lips and taking a toke and returning it to him.
“You know I need a new sniper.” You mentioned casually, wincing as Stitches sought out the bullet. “Or at least someone I can trust to have my back and not shoot me in the fucking ass.”
“You asking me for real?” He asked, blowing out a stream of smoke as he sat at the opposite side of the table.
“Trust me I would rather put up with your philosophical bullshit than go through this again.” You informed him. “No offense Stitches.”
You heard the clatter of metal on metal as the bullet hit the inside of the metal dish.
“None taken.” Stitches responded before picking up a bottle of medicinal grade alcohol. “You know what comes next right?”
“I hope you know I don’t mean any of the words that are going to be coming out of my mouth in the next two minutes.” You told her, taking the joint back from Coco and taking a long pull.
“Trust me, I hear a lot worse from these assholes.” Stitches told you before resuming her task.
There’s silence between the two of them while Coco tries to recount the last time he’d had any communication from you. It had been a while, he realises, usually he gets a text every few weeks when you’re away, telling him about some stupid shit that’s happened, or a picture of something weird. In the past three months he’s had nothing, it’s like you’ve dropped off the radar completely.
“She in trouble or something?” he asks Marcus, gesturing with his cigarette.
Marcus gives him a look before rubbing his hands together, a clear sign of agitation.
“I guess you haven’t seen the news this morning.”
Coco shakes his head.
“She hit Reno last night, killed Eddie, burned down his snuff studio.” Marcus informs him, crossing his arms over this chest.
Coco tilts his head back towards the sky, exhaling the word ‘Fuck’ because he knows what that means. Reno was a death sentence for you both and undertaking it again would have been a suicide mission. That was the real reason Marcus was here, he didn’t know if you were alive or dead, he’s lost contact the same way Coco had.
“Why?” Coco asked, his brain stumbling over the implications. “Why would she do that now? On her own?”
“Something happened with Galindo a little while ago.” Marcus confided as he stared out across the scrapyard. “I’m afraid it unbalanced her; she took off without a word and hasn’t been back since.”
“What kinda something?” Coco asks, because despite the work you do, you’re probably one of the most balanced people he knows. You own your shit, you don’t let it consume you, you don’t linger on the regrets. That’s some excellent compartmentalisation right there.
“The kinda something that brings back a lot of personal shit.” Marcus told him, his hands coming to rest on the wooden railing once more. His knuckles whitened as he gripped it tightly, the splintered wood digging into his fingertips.
“The Major?”
“His brother.”
Coco dropped the cigarette butt to the floor before crushing it underneath the heel of his boot. He pulled the remaining packet out of his pocket before offering one to Marcus. The other man took one, setting it between his lips before Coco provided the light.
“She kill him?”
“Nestor.” Marcus summarised as Coco withdrew his own smoke and tapped it against the cardboard carton in his hand.
“Fucking good on him.” He said before placing the cigarette between his lips and lighting it.
“You know, don’t you?” Marcus said, his voice lowering an octave as he took a drag. “She told you.”
Coco blew a smoke ring out of his mouth, watching as it evaporated into the air.
“Knew she was sticking around for someone and it wasn’t anybody from the club, none of these assholes would be able to keep their mouth shut about something like that.” He shrugged, waving his cigarette in the direction of the club house. “She’d been doing a lot of work for the cartel and he’s the one without the biggest stick up his ass.”
“He’s in love with her.” Marcus told him, inhaling deeply and allowing the nicotine to fill up his lungs. “The thing with Galindo’s been tearing him up inside.”
“That doesn’t bode well for Galindo.” Coco remarked, thinking back to the last time he’s laid eyes on you. You’d looked healthier, happier. Your smile was brighter, and you laughed a lot more. He knew what it was to fall in love, he knew how it looked and he could see it inside of you when the two of you shot targets under the desert sun. “She was settled last time I saw her, at peace.” He said tapping he place where his heart resided.
It struck Coco hard to know that you may be suffering. He knew a thing or two about PTSD, about the intensity of it, the hypervigilance, the nightmares, the intrusive thoughts. He thought you’d want to get away from the place that had instilled those memories, take control once again and what better place to do that then Reno. Somewhere you were forbidden to return to, a place where you could prove to yourself that you still held some form of power, that you could still do the job.
“I’ll reach out.” Coco said finally, feeling a twist of anxiety in his chest. “See if I can’t find out where she’s at.”
He just hoped to Christ it wasn’t the morgue.

If your still doing the writing prompt how about gorzan and worriz
Thanks for the ask anon! I hope you don't mind Cragger narrating the scene, but this is mostly about Gorzan and Worriz
Worriz and I have planned this, ever since that... incident. Where I was attacked at Forever Rock.
I'll make sure these pesky, putrid hypocrites regret what they've done. We'll reclaim what is ours– first it would be my honor, and the Chi. The threat of my wrath, alongside the Wolf Tribe's army are enough to warn them. I don't want to meddle my parents into this mess, and neither does my ally... Or should I call him my friend?
Our battle strategy was prepared by him and his first order was to wreak havoc on the Sanctuary Forest; undoubtedly due to his hatred towards plants, but also because the Gorilla Tribe is allied with the Lion Tribe.
We'll protest against the crime committed against me. I'll target these lions the same way they targeted me.
Stone wheels from everywhere trample the flowers on the ground, strangling the plant life in our path. I observe the flora around me while Worriz rides his Pack Tracker; the nature here is lush and humid kind of like my home.
Happily for me, my first and last destination here is the Gorilla Village. A rich region filled with hanging huts on trees, though the main tree we shall target is the Tower Flower. This'll disrupt their pathetic 'peace' and bring them down to reality– an opportunity for them to comprehend how corrupt the lions are.
Late at night, the darkness showers the gorillas, unaware of the pain that'll be brought upon them.
Worriz' eyes glisten like stars in the middle of the darkness, laying his paws on the main panel's buttons, ready to press them and shoot that damn tree down. His snarl strengthens as we get closer to our destination.
Suddenly, a dark figure propels itself onto our seats.
"Don't mess with our village, dude! What did nature do to you two? You guys have no reason to harass us.", the silhouette growls, revealing itself to be Gorzan.
Worriz shoves his hands onto the primate's chest, but he retaliates in the blink of an eye, grabbing my ally by his ripped shirt's collar.
I whip out my sword—
Gorzan punches my jaw.
He slaps Worriz and breaks the vehicle's control panel. The car is now useless.
My head falls on the steering wheel, my only eye's vision is dim, but I can hear the discussion near me.
"Argh! You idiot gorillas are just mere tools with your mindless violence. We have actual fire power here, so, give up. Get away from my sight!", the wolf barks.
"Mindless? Who's mindless in this situation, man! You're trying to kill the Tower Flower. You're trying to kill us!"
Gorzan pushes my light body onto Worriz, and rips off the steering wheel. He opens his mouth prepared to call for help, but my ally punches his lips and shouts before him,
"My comrades! Attack!"
The wolf pack howls, stunning our enemy, then they start shooting down the tree with their Chi cannons. I regain back my weak sight, and watch as Worriz jumps down off the Pack Tracker, with his dope double sided saw on his hand, slashes the tree.
Huts surrounding us glow, with the Gorilla Tribe now awake and witnessing our unbeatable might– though it is too late for them, because the tree falls down to the ground, shaking the land and dropping a few of the housings as if they were seeds.
Gorzan rushes towards the now deceased Tower Flower, his face frowning in regret and shame. His friends also come to mourn the dead tree alongside him.
While Worriz, who hopped on the back of another Pack Tracker, is giggling, I'm unable to do anything else but stare at this mess.
That's a big mess, if I need to say so myself.
I think... that this attack might've been a bit too ruthless. We could've just ran over a buncha' flowers.
"Don't be as pitiful as these cretins, Cragger. What are you, a coward? Admit our victory and move on.
He screams, "Take that, idiot! Next time, don't mess with us, and keep your annoying cult elsewhere!"
I follow him up to the same car he's in. We quickly u-turn to avoid facing these dumb idiots. Our job here is done, and now we need to organize ourselves as fast as possible to execute or heist at the Lion Temple.

🎶✨ when u get this u have to put 5 songs u actually listen to. then send this ask or tag 10 of your favourite followers (non-negotiable, positivity is cool)✨🎶
i'll kill you for cursing me @unclekow
the best way to describe what im listening to at any given moment is that im either playing the soundtrack to an anime that only exists in my head or attempting to block out all psychic attacks inflicted upon me from the world with the power of jazz and 90's/00's japanese alt rock and hip hop.
Get Down to Business, aka the Order Sol Theme by Daisuke Ishiwatari
It's the Sol Badguy music. It's the ultimate cool old guy who sucks music. I have a cool old guy who sucks that I've been thinking about. It's important for my delusions.
Lay Back by Lotus Juice
I am a *very* big fan of acoustic hip-hop, and I also really like japanese rap. I haven't actually listened to Lotus Juice that much (my teenage years were still defined squarely by Nujabes and his contemporaries!) but I've found this introduction to his work to be interesting! I'm looking forward to listening to more of it.
P.H.D. - Portable Headphone Dancefloor by 2mello
You, a buffoon, might say its cheating to list a whole album. I, a genius, would claim that its sacrilege to not treat a house mix as one whole song. If I were to take a single pick from it, dreamin on its own is probably my favorite track out of it all, so much so that I have spliced it out and extended it for my own listening. I've been a fan of 2mello for awhile now and I can safely say that every album he makes is my favorite of his until he makes the next.
Ka Bohaleng / On the Sharp Side by Abel Selaocoe
I don't talk about it much, but I was actually raised in a family that practiced and professionally performed Traditional West African Drum and Dance. As a result, I've always been partial to traditional/ethnic music worldwide, especially African music, and Abel Selaocoe is like the holy grail of such. His work can be described as "classically trained baroque that is distinctly African in nature," and I regularly stream his live performances and studio album. If there is anything in this list I would beg you hear, it is this song, and to a further extent, his performance at Cologne Jazzweek.
Akaneiro ga Moeru Toki/茜色が燃えるとき by Scoobie Do
This thing snuck up on me towards the start of the summer and blew my tits clean off. I'm a person very much trapped in the pre-2010's, especially the late 90's-late aughts. As I get older, I lean less and less towards new media and instead indulge in rediscovering older stuff. I have never watched a Gungrave. I have never played a Gungrave. But I have managed to get my hands on the majority of Scoobie Do's discography and play it regularly. The band is still active, but like all things, I am obsessed with their mini-album Kaze no Koibito, which has this song on it. Please listen to this song and please listen to Scoobie Do. The band is called Scoobie Do man, just do it.
HONORABLE MENTION:
Sleepy Head by the pillows
Earlier this spring, I finally watched Fooly Cooly for the first time ever, after maybe 6 years of people twice my age asking why I had never seen it when it seemed to be so completely grafted to my tastes. Well I did, and then I immediately drew my catgirl holding a guitar because of it. I'm not normal after that show. "Why did they keep asking you why you'd never seen it" I hear you asking. *ahem*
Because I've been listening to its soundtrack and the rest of the pillows discography since I was like. Twelve.
Don't ask me how I found it because I do not know. But between Ride on Shooting Star and this, I've returned to the FLCL soundtrack maybe once every 2 months for about a decade. This isn't propaganda to watch the anime, but it is propaganda to listen to the soundtrack.
@teffiniwynn, @kdinjenzen, @puyopuyo, @shukitanuki, @qwk, @lamphoera, @yuleloggu, @alien-tidays, @girlballs, @ockitten
im gonna go daydream about cringe shit goodnight

"Here."
Frankie tosses a blanket to Jay, who sits up and starts to unfold it, waiting for Frankie to retake his place next to her before spreading the blanket over their legs.
"That's nicer," she says as she lies back down, using Frankie's upper arm as a pillow.
"Told you you'd get cold."
"Yeah, yeah..."
He turns his head and just barely reaches her forehead with his lips, pressing a little kiss to her skin, before redirecting his gaze at the vastness of the desert night sky above them. The Arizona desert is almost deafeningly quiet except for the occasional animal sound, and the sky is breathtaking. Having climbed to the roof of their rented RV, Jay and Frankie are admiring the starry sky in all its splendor, unaffected by light pollution. It's their first vacation together. Frankie wanted to visit his family in New Mexico but also spend time with Jay, so they decide to make a road trip of it. The RV added to the adventure and made it possible for them to sleep by the road and not have to find motels.
As hot as the desert is in the daytime, as low does the temperature drop when the sun has disappeared below the horizon. Stopping for the night by the side of the road, they seized the opportunity to do some stargazing before taking to the uncomfortable bed.
Wrapped in each other's arms under the blanket, Jay blinks a little against the descending sleepiness. Unwilling to end the night just yet, she stifles a yawn and follows Frankie's finger as he points at something.
"See that?"
"What?"
"A shooting star. Make a wish."
"I can't make a wish if I can't see it."
Frankie hides his hand underneath the blanket, finding hers on top of his chest.
"Then I'm giving you my wish. What do you want most in the world?"
"I'm pretty sure it doesn't work that way," Jay scoffs, immediately regretting her hard tone. Frankie is so goddamn romantic and doesn't deserve her pragmatical ass shitting all over his love and attention.
"Come on," he prompts, not letting her dispassionate view on things bring him down. Jay rolls her eyes but accepts his kiss on her forehead.
"Fine, I wish for a boyfriend who doesn't believe in bee ess like wishing upon stars."
"Be a sport."
"Okay, okay. I wish..." Her voice trails off as Frankie kisses her neck and the magnificence of the sky above them turns a little hazy. "I wish that this night would never end. That this vacation would never end."
Frankie hums his approval at her wish but doesn't stop his slow exploration of her neck. The bill of his cap is in the way, so he takes the hat off for more range.
"What's your wish?" she asks, not really wanting to interrupt his ministrations, but interested in knowing what he would have if he could have anything.
"The same as yours."
"You can't have the same."
His head snaps up. "Oh, so you're making the rules now?"
"Damn right I am. Pick something else."
"Well, that's still easy." His features turn soft as he looks at her. "I wish to have a long, healthy life with you." Jay raises her hand to trail her fingers over his cheek, and he leans into the touch slightly.
"And..." He pauses, gaze flickering before he clears his throat and looks at her again. "I'd like to have kids one day."
He looks hesitantly at her, as if expecting her to get up, get down from the roof, and start running with no stop until she's back home.
Jay, however, doesn't move. She keeps his gaze softly fixed with his, her palm against his scruffy cheek.
"Me too."
He swallows. "Really?"
"Yeah."
"The kids and all?"
"Yes, Francisco."
He presses his lips to hers, kisses her full of his gratitude and excitement. She smiles as she receives it all, feels his lips turn up just as hers, and then pulls back, licking her lips as if catching the last drops of his love. He looks so ridiculously happy, and she feels that same happiness warming her, despite the chill of the night.
"I love you," he tells her, the short words heavy with meaning. "I love you so much, Jayne."
"And I love you, Francisco."
He brushes his lips over hers in the hint of a kiss.
"How many kids do you want?"
She laughs at that, pulling back to regard him. "Let's start with one. But Frankie - "
"I know," he cuts her off eagerly, "we gotta both be out of the military."
Jay just looks at him, wondering how he arrived at the same exact conclusion as she did. Frankie rolls over onto his side and wraps his arm around her.
"I'm not going to leave you and a child behind for the sake of the country," he tells her with conviction. "There are limits to my patriotism. And I don't want to have a job that risks making my child fatherless."
"I don't want that either," she confesses. "So, whenever we decide that it's time... we're both out."
"Both of us," Frankie agrees. "When the time is right."
"And I want us to be equally engaged in parenting," she adds. "We need to be prepared, we need to know how to deal with it. Frankie, I don't want us to be one of those couples who don't talk about it beforehand and when the kid grows up and starts asking questions they haven't agreed on what values to they base their child-rearing on."
"We'll talk about all that," he reassures her. "I want us to be as prepared as we can. And... I wanna be home with the kid, too. If there's a possibility."
Jay smiles and pulls him in for another kiss. She should have known: Frankie doesn't half-ass anything. It's just like him to want to go all in on parenting as well as everything else.
"That's why I wouldn't want to try for kids with anyone else but you," she tells him. "You will do your part, I know. I will never have to be a single parent even when I'm in a relationship, as so many women seem to be."
"Never," he vows quietly, and Jay pulls him in for more kissing. Slowly, Frankie rolls over on top of her, the kiss deepening as he slots his knee between her legs to separate them.
"Frankie..."
"Mhmm?"
"Can I make another wish?" The question is innocent enough.
"Of course."
"Then I wish that you'd go down on me here, on the roof of this piece of shit that I honestly didn't think would take us this far."
"Well..." Frankie grins mischievously, "see, that's a wish I can do something about."
"You serious?" Jay stares at him. Frankie is... if not prim, then very private when it comes to his - their - sex life. They have fucked in half public places before, but those have been quickies. Oral means he's bound to be there for a while.
"No one out here but you and me, baby," Frankie assures here. "And maybe like half a million snakes, scorpions, rats, gophers, coyotes..."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, are you gonna eat it or not?" Jay puts her hand on Frankie's head and pushes him down, and he chuckles at her impatience.
"Alright, ma'am, pants off."
"Ma'am me one more time..." Jay warns him without vehemence, shimmying out of her jeans. Not long after, Frankie's broad tongue is lapping at her slit and swirling around her clit. Fighting to keep her eyes open, she gazes up at the stars, dimly thinking that this is something spectacular, something primal and beautiful to remember for the rest of her life. The simple yet so very complicated nature of sexual pleasure and a majestic night sky, how is that not a given -
Frankie sucks at her clit, and her eyes squeeze shut, and her spine tightens in a bow as she wails in pleasure, all thought forgotten. Skillfully, he brings her to the brink of annihilation before stopping dead to kiss her inner thigh and raise his head to look at her.
"Seeing stars yet?"
"Jesus fucking Christ, Frankie..." she whines, too lost to even get mad. "Please don't stop, I was so close."
"I know, that's why I stopped."
"Bastard." The insult is wrapped in so much love that Frankie's only response is a warm smile.
"I got you, baby."
He teases the insides of her thighs with licks, nibbles, and playful bites, all the while moving closer to the heat of the apex. When the first lick is delivered, Jay shivers.
"No more edging, baby, please."
He murmurs reassuringly and Jay recognizes every lick, every swirl, knows his technique so intimately after barely a year together, but it doesn't feel predictable or boring, oh no, it feels like home, tender, soothing, happy, and exciting. The chill of the desert night doesn't bother her as her internal temperature rises to a boil, the muscles start to tense, her hands seek out Frankie's head for her fingers to fist into his unruly curls. Her knees shoot up to capture Frankie's head between her thighs when the taut string inside her breaks in a strong climax that makes her cry out like a wolf in the moonlight. Frankie continues to lick her, softly now, until she releases his head and breathes out a deep sigh.
"God, Frankie..."
"One more," he coaxes her, "you can do one more, can't you?"
Of course she can. How could she not, when he's so good at what he does? Her bundle of nerves is still pulsating and delicate to the touch, but Frankie goes easy on her, builds her up with delicate kisses and feathery licks, until she's thrashing again, and he must lock her down with strong arms around her thighs. The second orgasm arrives quicker but with the same intensity in physical expression, her heels digging down, pelvis rising, head thrown back as she forces her eyes open and sees the sky fall on her.
Frankie wipes his chin and lips on the inside of her thigh before scattering kisses over her prickled-over flesh, giving her time to catch her breath, and come down. Slowly, he kisses his way over her pelvic bone, hitching up her hoodie and t-shirt to reach her stomach and then breasts, before pulling them back down so that she won't get cold. He reaches her lips just as her breathing has started to normalize, and takes her breath away with his deep, soaked kiss. Jay moves against him, feels the hard outline of his erection trapped inside his jeans, and murmurs as she slides her hand down to rub it.
"Stop, or I'll cum in my pants," he groans against her cheek. Jay chuckles breathlessly.
"You say that like it's a bad thing."
"I need to get my cock wet," he tells her as she starts to pull at his belt buckle. "Need get it warm and wet, baby."
"I know just where to put it," Jay gasps, impatiently unbuckling his belt. Frankie groans when his cock finally springs free.
"Ride it, Jay, I want you to ride it."
Riding him on a surface that doesn't yield isn't the most comfortable, but Jay doesn't care that it's like sitting astride a pillowcase filled with tools, all hipbones and hard angles. His cock,  sharp and hard, is devastatingly deep inside her, to the point of hurting when she starts to move.
"Jesus," she wheezes, "that's hard to take, baby." Her knees whine against the metal of the roof as she adjusts her position, leaning forward with her hands on Frankie's chest.
"Can you manage?" he groans, hands on her hips. "If it's not comfortable - "
"I can manage," she promises, starting to move her hips tentatively. Frankie lets out a strangled huff, and his gaze directs up towards the sky. His face displays the same wonder and carefreeness that she herself felt when looking up at the stars. It gives her the determination she needs to go on despite the strain on her knees: to give him an experience like the one she had, one to remember when they're back in the trenches, doing unspeakable things for their country, when it seems like there is nothing to life but duty, blood, and dirt. Protesting knees and a battered cervix are a small price to pay for the gift she can give him, so she rides him hard, rides him home, relishing in his loud moans and the way his muscles flex tightly when he bares his neck to her. His hips jerk up, and a warmth spreads deep in her core. Jay slows down, catching her breath, and looking up at the stars. Still rocking slowly, she keeps his cock warm and snug inside her until Frankie's grunt brings her attention back to him. He looks at her with heavy-lidded eyes, and pulls her down for a kiss.
"That was so good," he murmurs into her mouth between the kisses. Jay hums in return, happily receiving his praise and love. When he starts to slip out of her, she raises her hips, but Frankie pulls her back down.
"Keep it warm, baby, I want you to keep it warm."
"Like that, is it?" She reaches down between them to help him back in as she kisses him back. "Lookin' for another round?"
"Maaaybe," he winks at her, wrapping one arm around her waist and using the other one to push himself up to a seat. Jay settles a little deeper and slides her arms around his neck as she starts to slowly rock on his lap.
"You feel so fucking good," Frankie groans, sneaking a hand underneath her shirt to cup a breast and play with the nipple. "God, how are you so good to me?"
"You know why," Jay breathes into his ear before nibbling at the lobe.
"Tell me." Frankie begins to move with her.
"Because I love you, and I want to have a life with you, Frankie Morales."
"God, that's beautiful," he sighs, sliding both hands underneath her shirt and embracing her. "I love you too, Jay, and I want to have so many babies with you."
Jay barks out a laugh before kissing him again, and there is no more need for words as they start to soar through the night sky together, embraced and entwined, unperturbed by the chilly air and the howling of coyotes in the distance.

Tumblr media
Pairing: Whisky X afab!Reader
Synopsis: Underneath the starlit night, Whisky poured his affection toward his beloved master attendant.
Word Count: 687
Tumblr media
"Only in the darkness can you see the stars."
Those were the words that Whisky could describe his current relationship with his master. Ever since he accepted that simple request from his master, the journey to where they are today was a rollercoaster ride. He observed many things. He thought about many things. He then realized a lot of things. He wouldn't be who he is right now without the help of his beloved [Y/n] — the master he swore to never let go again.
For him, she was like the stars, shining brightly amidst the darkness. And he voluntarily stayed in the shadows as it was the only way he could immerse himself in her glow. Despite their opposite worlds, he could still feel her loving warmth reaching out to him. As if complementing him. Making him whole.
"The dark is so cold," [Y/n] said as he felt the cold wind blow upon her face.
Whisky turned around and saw a small smile on her lips as she looked up at him. Her beautiful [e/c] eyes glistened under the moonlight and her [h/c] hair gently swayed behind her. The white dress she wore complimented her body perfectly. It wasn't just how breathtaking her appearance was that caused this feeling in Whisky's chest, but something else. Something much bigger than that. His heart, however, couldn't comprehend what it was yet. What he felt.
He had been through so much already. Yet, it all didn't compare to what he feels right now. For the first time, he felt happy. Truly happy. Because he was there with her. With [Y/n].
"It doesn't have to be always like this, right?" Whisky asked, lacing his fingers with hers. She smiled and nodded.
They walked silently. The night sky was a sight for sore eyes. It was peaceful, calm, and silent. Nothing seemed to disturb it. Everything was peaceful. Just like the moment they stood on top of this hill and watched the moon rise above their heads.
"The stars are really beautiful tonight," the [h/c]ette hummed in delight, inching closer to her companion for a share of warmth and intimacy. "Just like when I took you out and we saw a shooting star back in winter."
"I agree," a minuscule smile graced the beige-haired man's lips, closing his eyes for a brief moment. "Perhaps I should take you out on an evening stroll regularly."
[Y/n]'s face lit up at his words. She swiftly faced him, [e/c] eyes practically shimmering. "Really? Will you do that, Vicchan?"
"Of course. You're my beloved master, after all. It's only natural that I heed your desires, whatever they may be."
"But won't that disturb you? I mean, I appreciate you spoiling me like this but I want you to be comfortable too..."
Just seeing her troubled expression makes Whisky emit a faint chuckle. He loved seeing her pout cutely as she worried for his well-being. It was just one of her charms. His crimson hues softened, gazing down at the teen lovingly. Wordlessly, he leaned forward and kissed her softly on her forehead. Although his unexpected action surprised her, it still made her smile. A faint blush appeared on both of their cheeks, relishing the intimacy that they shared.
Whisky would have to thank her later, for allowing him to experience this kind of affection and peace. After all, he never gets to do so with anyone.
When they separated, [Y/n] gazed up at him adoringly. This caused Whisky's heartbeat to speed up slightly. Her face looked as though the stars were reflected in her eyes. He was helpless against her beauty. It made him vulnerable.
"You needn't worry for me, [Y/n]-sama," Whisky mumbled against her head. "I will always be here beside you. No matter what you do, I'll never leave you alone."
"Mhm~"
She smiled happily and wrapped her arms around Whisky. The food soul hugged her back, placing a gentle kiss on the crown of her head. Both of them stood there in silence, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere for the rest of the night.
"I love you, my dear master. I truly do..."

A Bird’s Eye View of the Realm2
“Duan Ling! Duan Ling —!”
Riding on Wanlibenxiao, Wu Du charges all the way out of the capital of Jiangzhou. He stares at Duan Ling with an exasperated look on his face. On a side road just beyond the capital’s walls, Duan Ling turns his horse around unhurriedly beneath the star-studded night sky with a brilliant Silver River cutting through the background. Edged with starlight, Duan Ling smiles at Wu Du.
“Let’s go?” Duan Ling says.
“Let’s go? Your emperor uncle is going to skin your lord and master!” Wu Du’s not sure if he should laugh or cry.
Duan Ling heaves a sigh and nods with a frown, ready to head back to the city with Wu Du. But seeing him like this, Wu Du just can’t bear to make him go back to the palace. It’s almost like if he could wipe that frown off Duan Ling’s face, it’s worth getting himself skinned.
“Come on then … Where’d you want to go?” Wu Du says, “Come on over here.”
Duan Ling’s frown disappears, turning into a smile. “Seriously?”
“Where to?” Wu Du asks. “The sun’s going to come up soon. What could be so important that you couldn’t forget it by the time you wake up again anyway?”
“To the ends of the earth,” Duan Ling says, slowly approaching Wu Du on horseback.
Wu Du shoots a glance at Duan Ling. “Let’s go then. I’ll let you go wherever you want, even to the ends of the earth.”
Duan Ling puts his foot into Wu Du’s stirrup, and with a swing of his leg over Benxiao’s back, he’s sitting in front of Wu Du. Now that they’re sharing a horse, Wu Du shakes the reins and shouts, “Gup!”
Benxiao runs on four hooves as though stepping on clouds, onto a Jiangzhou highway swirling with mist, kicking up a great trail of dust. The humidity of morning mist brushes them by, and the stars of the Silver River above gradually fade away until they all vanish in a flash of morning sunlight. A red sun surges above the horizon at the end of the Yangtze, bestowing this world new life.
“Whatever happened last night?” Wu Du whispers, putting his arms around Duan Ling so that he’s encircled, and protected.
“Last night’s stars and last night’s wind, west of the painted tower east of the hall …” Duan Ling recites smilingly.3
“We lack a butterfly’s wings and thus cannot fly as one, but my heart and yours will sing as one —” Wu Du follows by reciting the next line.
“We play pass the hook and drink warm spring wine, the shell game is fun and the candles are especially red …”
His memories gradually take him back to a time in the Illustrious Hall, and the voices of children reciting poetry join him in unison.
“Ah, I hear the nightwatchman’s clapper signalling roll-call — I spur my horse onwards but my heart only spins in place.”
Curled up in Wu Du’s arms, Duan Ling slowly nods off. Upon exiting the Jiangzhou highway, the ponds to the left and right of the road are blanketed with the remnants of lotus leaves. The morning breeze sends a ripple through the water, its crystalline lines reflecting the boundless blue sky.
Wu Du brings him all the way north, fording the Yangtze, turning into a gust of wind as they gallop past golden rice paddies, past the wide open prairies with the returning geese flying overhead, through puddles big and small left behind by the autumn rain, kicking up the fresh scent of the earth as they continue north. The mountains and clouds above them and the fields and forests they travel past are no longer black and white like an ink-brush painting but have gradually filled in with colour.
This sky, this earth, they seem to become a fast-moving painted scroll, multicoloured, fresh and elegant. Duan Ling slowly wakes from his sleep, and he looks up from Wu Du’s embrace to feel as though he’s travelled from early spring to midsummer, then through the cries of cicada and lush greenery, into gold-foiled late autumn.
Spring weeds grow lush in a land now vanquished; summer palace ruins lie buried beneath mounds of dirt.4
“Is this where you wanted to go?”
“No.”
— Thus they cross the Southern Chen border and pass through Runan.
The geese fly south but no letter came; the bamboo by the River Xiang is stained with tears.5
“How about here?”
“Not here either.”
— Thus they leave Luoyang without stopping to rest.
Finally, tracing the path he took north many years ago, Wu Du takes Duan Ling all the way to the outskirts of Shangjing. Whatever wounds that war had given this capital of Great Liao had healed long ago, and the biggest city in the north is also populated again.
The sun is beginning to set. Bells toll in the distant mountains, and the autumn wind rustling through the yellowing leaves already feels a bit chilly. A pale full moon hangs at the horizon, seemingly blending into the dark red sky. Wu Du stops halfway up a mountain, quietly watching Shangjing from above. Lights flicker in the city as every household hangs its lanterns.
It’s the fifteenth of the Eighth Month, the day of the Mid-Autumn festival. The Mongolians don’t celebrate this holiday; many years ago, the Han passed slips of paper in their mooncakes, and in the name of “resisting the barbarians” had risen up in rebellion, commencing a fierce battle beneath Mount Jiangjun.
Of course, the Mongolians don’t eat mooncakes, and they don’t celebrate this Han festival either, but the Khitans do. They say that at every Mid-Autumn Festival, Yelü Zongzhen’s seasonal palace in Zhongjing would be hung full of decorated lanterns so that he may reminisce fondly about old friends.
“Do you want to go take a look inside?” Wu Du crouches before the cliff’s edge in his white martial artist robes, looking into the distance like a white tiger in the night staring at the excitement and hubbub of the mortal world beneath the mountains.
They already came all the way so of course they ought to go inside and have a look around, but knowing Duan Ling as he does, Wu Du thinks sometimes all Duan Ling wants to do is to see it from a distance.
And as expected, Duan Ling says, “Never mind, let’s just leave.”
“We’re not leaving,” Wu Du says, turning to Duan Ling with a smile.
Duan Ling suddenly finds the sight of Wu Du’s back extraordinarily reliable, so much so that he decides to throw himself on there, and sprawls over his back. Wu Du smiles, saying, “Let’s go home.”
A gush of warmth rises from Duan Ling’s heart unbidden. Carrying Duan Ling on his back, Wu Du looks around him before slowly approaching the city via a small footpath. Shangjing is no longer the strictly defended stronghold it used to be, and it’s no longer the most important city in the north either; when Wu Du gets to the city gates, he takes Duan Ling’s hand, and when Duan Ling tells the soldiers at the gates in Khitan that they’ve come to visit relatives, the soldiers don’t press him for more details before letting them through.
“It’s reunion night,” Duan Ling says, standing at the city gate, facing the city of Shangjing in the midst of a festival. On either side of the main street are maple trees with leaves as red as blood, and underneath the lanterns, the street is bustling. A bright moon sits on the horizon.
This is clearly the Shangjing he remembers, and it has never changed; he takes Wu Du’s big hand and crosses the main street with him, walking towards his home. When they pass by an apothecary, the two of them stop automatically.
“I’ve been here before,” Wu Du says.
“I’ve been before as well,” Duan Ling replies.
Wu Du picks up the apothecary’s door and shoves it aside. Duan Ling goes behind the counter and notices that the place has been in a state of disrepair for a long time already — the drawers that used to hold herbs and medicinal ingredients are lying all over the place, whatever used to be in them long gone. Duan Ling picks up a half stick of candle left on the counter and lights it. When he stands it back up on the counter, the room is immediately suffused in a warm glow, casting their shadows onto the window lattice.
“Let’s go out this way,” Duan Ling says, taking Wu Du out of the apothecary through the rear courtyard. Just before leaving, he takes a glance behind him. The entire apothecary looks to him like a giant magic lantern, reflecting all the mortal world’s joys and sorrows, its many partings and reunions.
After the calamity that befell this city, people haven’t moved back in to fill all of its houses yet. Duan Ling walks through the alley that leads to his house and pushes open the two redwood doors that have almost rotted off their hinges to find the courtyard covered in lichen. A water bowl sits on the table still, left behind by Cai Yan just before they departed. It’s filled by half with rainwater.
I’m not a very good cook. I don’t have Zheng Yan’s skills. Someday when you taste better food than this you won’t think much about this table full of food, but for now you’ll have to make do.
It feels like Lang Junxia is still busying himself in the kitchen. Duan Ling sticks his head in for a look and asks smilingly, “Lang Junxia, where’s my dad?”
Lang Junxia looks up, glances at Duan Ling, and replies, “Your dad should be here by the time the peach blossoms bloom.”
Duan Ling turns around and walks into the courtyard. Wu Du is lying on a lounger Li Jianhong once used. He says to Duan Ling, “Come over here and look at the moon.”
And so Duan Ling goes to Wu Du and leans back against him. They lie there without a word.
“Mud all over your hands, and you wipe them all over your dad’s face.” Li Jianhong says, smiling at Duan Ling as he passes through the gallery.
Duan Ling thus quickly gets back on his feet, but all he hears is a gust of wind moving through the gallery, setting the rusted wind chines clanging.
Wu Du asks, “Are you hungry yet?”
“I’m hungry,” Duan Ling says. “Let’s have a walk around. I remember a shaobing place around here that was pretty tasty.”
Wu Du puts away his sword and leaves the house with Duan Ling. When they get to the main street, Duan Ling walks along the city wall. As they cross the river in the middle of the city, Wu Du can’t help but keep staring at the water. Duan Ling knows he’s remembering how he’d had to jump into the frozen river years ago, and teases him about it.
Soon, Wu Du picks up Duan Ling and leaps onto the roof. Stepping along the roof tiles, he jumps from roof to roof for an entire street, then he lands and buys them two pieces of shaobing, two catty of beef, and four taels of wine. Holding all that with one hand, he leaps onto the roof again and heads down to another street.
As they arrive at the Illustrious Hall, Duan Ling is surprised to find that the place has been renovated, and school is in session again. Right now though, the children have already gone home for the holidays. The gatekeeper is someone new as well; an old man, tipsy from drink, who left rather early.
“I’ve been to this stable,” Wu Du says as they walk in through the back door.
Duan Ling is chewing on a shaobing, and upon hearing this he almost spits it out. “You also crashed through the roof of the main hall.”
Wu Du laughs so hard that he doubles over. He grabs Duan Ling and takes a running leap onto the roof. The two of them lie down on the roof, and facing the bright harvest moon at the horizon, they drink and gaze at the moon.
“Milord,” Duan Ling says.
“Yeah,” Wu Du replies, drinking his wine. “The moon is particularly round in the north. I’ll take you to Shangzi next year.”
“Sure. There are still lots of tall mountains and great rivers still, and I want to see them all.”
“There’s plenty of time. Did you leave a message for your uncle?”
This concerns Wu Du’s skin after all. Duan Ling smiles as he says, “I left one when I left the palace that day.”
They look up at the sky, and as the moon rises to its zenith, there is a sudden squeak from the back gates as someone pushes them open. The sound is followed by a familiar voice.
“I never thought I’d run into you here,” Batu says.
“Jiangzhou … couldn’t go there,” Helian Bo says as he waves his sabre around fancily. “So I thought I’d … keep His Majesty … company. Have a walk … around.”
“Let’s call a temporary truce on my account,” says Yelü Zongzhen’s voice. “Borjigin, it’s not like you can come all this way here all the time, and you don’t have many guards with you either. Starting a fight inside the city won’t do you any good.”
Batu turns his nose up at the idea. “If you people hadn’t ambushed me I wasn’t planning to show my face anyway.”
“This trip is a trip down memory lane, so let’s just say we’re having a reunion dinner. See? We were meant to see each other again,” says Yelü Zongzhen. “Get someone to bring us a couple of catty of wine, and we’ll drink it here. We will raise our cups to Duan Ling in the far south — the moon is full and our table is full, and no matter the distance, we’re looking at the same moon.”
Duan Ling stares at them without a word.
Wu Du takes one look at Duan Ling, and as he’s just about to jump down there, Duan Ling grabs him and puts a finger in front of his lips, letting him know that he shouldn’t act without thinking. Then, while Yelü Zongzhen’s guards go around to secure the Illustrious Hall, Wu Du picks Duan Ling up sideways and walks to the end of the flying eaves like a great big cat. The two of them conceal themselves in the shadows of the next building over, quietly watching those in the courtyard as they gaze at the moon and drink their wine.
Helian Bo, Yelu Zongzhen and Borjigin Batu drink to each other beneath the moon, while Duan Ling and Wu Du sit still against each other on the roof. Time passes, and the silver disc moves across the sky, shining its bright light into the world. Three rounds of drinks later, Batu suddenly starts singing a bold, heroic tune.
His voice is forceful and unruly, startling the crows that have been sitting still on this moonlit night so that they fly off towards the horizon. Helian Bo and Yelü Zongzhen beat their cups with chopsticks, making a rhythmic clanging.
It’s a Mongolian pastoral song, and Duan Ling can understand the lyrics; with a full moon above the prairies, the wind blows through a sea of grass, sending waves in every direction, and yearning, like south-flying geese, has returned again.
Batu lets out a long sigh at the end of the song, but then they hear a flute start to play. It comes from above them, faint and barely there, lingering from the rafters to the horizon. All three are startled by the sound and look up together. All they can see is a young man’s pitch-black silhouette against a bright, clear moon, sharp like a paper cutout, while another man stands on the flying eaves protectively at his side.
The guards make to step up, but Yelü Zongzhen raises a hand to stop them. Slowly, Batu stands incredulously and walks to the centre of the courtyard to look up at that silhouette.
Duan Ling’s flute playing is melodic and bright, and through the years he has spent with Wu Du, he has finally learned how to play this song. It may be a bit shaky, but the music is more or less piercing with a wintry air.
Compared to Wu Du’s way of turning his tempered, steel-like strength, into the softness of a feather touch, Duan Ling plays with a lot of power, and the song inevitably takes on a strong resonating tone. The music sounds like a farewell, and it also sounds like regret; and finally, beneath the moon, it fades away until it can no longer be heard.
“Duan Ling?” Batu says, his voice trembling.
Wu Du becomes a black shadow, and with Duan Ling in his arms, he leaps from one uneven rooftop to another, leaving Shangjing behind. They get on Wanlibenxiao and gallop away from the city.
Just before he leaves, Duan Ling looks up at the bright, clear harvest moon above.
“Let’s go home!” Duan Ling says.
“Let’s go home. Gup!” Wu Du urges Wanlibenxiao on and takes Duan Ling away from there as though riding on the wind, looking down at ten thousand miles of the realm.

The title is from a poem by Xin Qiji, and like many of Xin Qiji’s poems, may sound like it’s about yearning for someone while being a poem that yearns for a lost homeland, as it was written during the Southern Song dynasty. The whole line that the title came from would read: I wish to ride on the wind and get a bird’s eye view of the realm. ↩︎
A poem by the Tang dynasty poet Li Shangyin. The second line that Wu Du recites is so famous that it’s essentially an idiom. ↩︎
This poem opened chapter 1. ↩︎
Another poem by Li Shangyin. This one is about yearning for someone far away. ↩︎

23 February 2024 - Woke up in Piha at Elise's house. She had to work today, so we got up together around 6:15 am. We left her house around 7, me on my motorbike headed home and she in her park ranger uniform headed to work. I had a really great sunrise ride from Piha back to Henderson. I'm feeling more comfortable on the motorbike and more confident with the windy roads to and from Piha. They're fun to drive now, instead of scary. When I got to Henderson I was surprised to find that Arnie and Jimmy were both still asleep. Usually, they're both early-risers, but today I was up before them; needless to say, this is VERY rare 😅. I started making pancakes, something that I'd been talking about for a while. I cooked us up some blueberry pancakes, and the three of us, Jimmy, Arnie, and me, sat out on the back porch and started feasting on blueberry pancakes, banana slices, peanut butter, and Canadian maple syrup. Uncle Mitch came over from next door, and I offered him dinner pancakes; he said, no, that he'd just eaten. I got him a plate, and threw a pancake on it. After he finished the pancake, he grabbed a second one! All morning, those three were doing their best American accents talking about American pancakes 🤣 I love when they do their American accents!
Tumblr media
After breakfast, Jimmy asked me to join him on some missions. I ALWAYS say yes to Jimmy's missions. I got in his car, and we ran a few errands. We got back home at noon, and he got a call from his work, saying that he had the afternoon off too! We went on some more missions. We bought some plants for Jimmy's vegetable garden at the local Bunnings (New Zealand's Home Depot). I planted all his plants in his vegetable garden and watered them. Hopefully they do okay.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jimmy's really excited for Maddie to watch the garden grow. Jimmy had a bunch of chicken sausages, and I cooked those up for us. The three of us ate lunch together on the back porch.
Tumblr media
Jimmy and I grabbed swimmies and towels and got in Jimmy's car for more missions. Jimmy had a bunch more errands to run, but eventually wanted to end up in south Auckland to go to the Chinese new year festival at the manakau sports bowl. I don't really know what I'm getting into whenever I volunteer to go on missions with Jimmy. He's got a plan, but I know what that plan is maybe 50% of the time 😅. We went to Judge's Bay and Orekei and walked around there. Jimmy showed me a couple places he likes to go to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We went to Joshy's house to drop off some petrol. We said hi to Joshy and Essence and the doggos, Nala, Tahi, and Ace. But we didn't stay long.
Tumblr media
We drove to Jimmy's work to park the car, and Elise was there waiting when we arrived. The three of us caught a bus from Jimmy's work to the Chinese new year festival. We walked around and took photos of the intricate lanterns.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jimmy bought a box of 40 donuts that we all snacked on. After spending a good long while there, we headed back to the bus stop. We waited for the bus for close to an hour, but it never came! So we got an Uber back to Jimmy's work. I drove Jimmy's car and Elise drove her car back to my house. Elise had coordinated and arranged to have sole use of the Keddle House, a cabin inside her regional park that people can't rent out. Usually, to reserve the Keddle House, one has to put in for it six months in advance, but because Elise is a park ranger, she was able to snag it for a couple days (there was a last-minute cancellation). In New Zealand, they call a beach house like the Keddle House a "bach." At my flat in Henderson, we grabbed some blankets and some clothes, and then we drove to Anawhata, to the Keddle house. When we got to the Keddle house, it was already very late. But, YOLO, so we walked all the way down to the beach. Immediately upon arriving at the beach, we saw a shooting star. That's three walks to the beach with Elise, and we saw a shooting star each time. We howled at the full moon. We sunk our feet into the soft sand and enjoyed the magic of the night.
Tumblr media
We walked back up to the bach and passed out.
I'm grateful for Jimmy. I'm grateful for his friendship, for his positivity, for his trust, and for his kindness. I'm grateful to go on missions with him and to help him with his vegetable garden because I know he's always looking after me too. Getting to help him plant his vegetable garden is an easy way to reciprocate and show my love and gratitude. I'm grateful for Elise. I'm grateful for her organizing and coordinating us staying at the bach!
