Romance manhwas/webtoons I highly recommend!!!

Look! You guys must know, by this time, I am a romance connoisseur! *ahem* self-proclaimed*ahem* Romance is my fav genre and I'm not ashamed to say that aloud!! Since valentines day is coming and I'm still single, I simply fill the empty space in my heart with these cute manhwas/webtoons!!! I love reading them so much! But there are some really good romance manhwas that really give me hope about love. These are my recommendations, the ones I really enjoyed.

Daytime star

This manhwa is one of my most fav!! If you haven't heard of it, or read it...GO READ THIS RIGHT NOW!!....or whenever you have time, BUT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MANHWA! It's not just about its beautiful art style, but the story is AMAZING! If you're like me, who loves mature adult romance (and by 'mature adult romance' I don't mean a story like 50 shades of grey, but a more natural realistic romance between two fully grown adults) then this is the manhwa for you! I swear! I was binge-reading this manhwa the whole day, while eating, while playing games, while sleeping I was dreaming about this manhwa. The story is about a struggling actress falling in love with a very popular actor. It sounds simple, but it's really really REALLY GOOD! It's worth your time! There's nothing bad I have to say about this manhwa. It's truly outstanding.

Marry my husband

What? You want a revenge drama with the female lead in her comeback era? I recommend Marry my husband. I saw the Kdrama adapted from this manhwa and although the actors are really good....the story changes drastically towards the end. The Kdrama has so many....'Kdrama' elements which I'm not really a fan of and it just makes the story unnecessarily complicated for no reason. So I highly recommend you read the manhwa version. The manhwa version is more straightforward and simple compared to the kdrama and doesn't have any unnecessary drama to waste your time. All the characters are so good. Even the side characters have stories. I love how simple the story is and how satisfying it is. I'm sure you will enjoy the manhwa and fall in love the characters. Again, highly recommend this. This is the 2nd manhwa that I binged the whole day, and re-read it again yesterday. It's really good!

A Marriage of Convenience

I'll be honest, I was ignoring this manhwa for god knows why? Looking at the art, it just gave Under the Oak tree vibes.....and I'll be honest again, I got bored of under the oak tree. Everyone seems to love it, but I just got bored after 20 chaps or so. But this one, I finally decided to read it and again! I JUST CANNOT STOP READING IT!! I wonder why I'm so in love with it...it's because the female lead is so cool! I LOVE THE FEMALE LEAD IN THIS MANHWA!!! and you will know why once you read it. I feel like the female lead really carries the story on her back. Its so beautiful to see her growing and then comparing her present self to how she used to be in beginning of the story. Hey! I'm telling you! Go read it!! *points my gun*

I Thought It's A Common Possession (Ongoing!)

Isekai villainess manhwas are the trend guys! I wonder when is cybird going to release their own ver. of isekai villainess game? Well...I have not seen many people talking about this manhwa, so I wanna shed some light. It's a slow-burn but a really good one! At the first chap, you'd hate the male lead....but at the end of the latest chap, you guys will surely love the male lead. You'll think that the story is just a simple villainess manhwa were everyone hates the villainess but soon end up liking her...but no, it's much darker. You'll find out when you read it. Also the female lead...is a mommy!!! She gives me mommy vibes!! She's so beautiful!!

For My Lost Love (Ongoing!)

Another isekai manhwa that I'm obsessed with because the male lead is too hot for my own good! I think the reason I love this manhwa is because 1. it's a slow burn 2. the male lead is so good-looking 3. The relationship developing between the male lead and the female lead is really cute! It's like you can't help but want to see these two together! Right now, the male lead is completely in love with the female lead and its' so cute to see him being possessive about her and the female lead is completely oblivious. The female lead really loves the male lead because he is her fav character of her fav novel. It's cute! I love the female lead's personality, showing heart-eyes and blushing when the male lead does something....even the smallest things like drinking his coffee or arranging flowers. It's really cute!

Remarried Empress (First 80 - 90)

This story is really popular. There is a manhwa and a game....Phew~ Another one of those that I couldn't stop reading......BUT!! As much as I love the story and it's main characters...I feel like this manhwa is better if you only read it up to...90 chapters and from there, just read the spoilers. I'll be honest, the first 80 to 90 chapters of this manhwa are FUCKING AWESOME!!!! IT'S DRAMA AFTER DRAMA AFTER DRAMA! ABUSE! VERBAL ABUSE! EMOTIONAL ABUSE! It's bad but it's also good. The abuse is just too much to handle that you can't stop reading it because you want the female lead to be happy...and in the end she gets it. I highly recommend reading 90 chapters of the manhwa and then read the spoilers because the manhwa gets very sluggish. I bet you, because you will be only invested in the 4 main characters of this story and you won't care about anyone else. The first 90 chapters mainly focuses on these 4 characters and after that the story focuses more on other side characters until it connects back to the main 4 characters. This part is a drag.....so don't waste time and read the spoilers.

The Villainess Turn The Hourglass

Ah....This manhwa....truly one of the best villainess manhwa I've ever read!! I won't say anything! This is truly a 'VILLAINESS ROMANCE' manhwa and again...a story about a woman in her comeback era. Read only the main story though, I don't really care about the spin-off. The main story is truly satisfying. Read it! READ IT RIGHT NOW!! *Points my gun*

thoughts on ct's fighting style and her position in pfl because I can (utc bc it's long lol):

okay so I like to jokingly refer to myself as THE wash meta/analysis guy, but I also absolutely love ct if anyone wasn't aware (she's my 2nd fav character behind wash if you couldn't tell lol), but as much as I love her it's honestly pretty difficult to write any sort of 'objective' meta or analysis posts about her because we don't know shit about her. so while this is meant to be a companion piece of sorts to this wash post, I just wanted to make it clear that a lot of this post is going to be based around my personal interpretation of ct (though I will try and be as objective as possible where I can be).

so much like wash, I think ct is also fairly unique among the freelancers for a few different reasons. one of them is that she's one of the few freelancers to wear a unique set of armor instead of the usual mark iv, and I think that ct's armor can actually tell us quite a bit about her skill set and what kind of role she possibly held. ct wears the eod helmet and chest which is primarily designed for protection from explosives, but when it comes to ct the more important information is that the eod armor was designed with less available grabbing surface than other armor variants. she also wears the scout shoulders, which is a variant that is focused on stealth capabilities.

from this information, we can easily deduce that ct's skill set primarily revolves around be slippery and sneaky, and when paired with what we see in the show it's pretty clear that ct is an intelligence operative. I think that ct is specifically a cyber operations specialist, and that prior to being recruited for freelancer she worked in ONI's section one (the actual intelligence gathering sector of ONI that is used by other UNSC branches).

another unique aspect about ct is that she is the only freelancer to consistently arm herself very lightly, with her primary weapon(s) of choice being two M6G magnums, and her other weapon(s) being two combat knives. this goes inline with what I've said above, and due to how lightly she arms herself I believe that ct generally isn't involved in any heavy combat scenarios. this point is supported by team b's failure to retrieve the briefcase with the access code during the heist in s9 (seriously, who tf thought it was a good idea to put 2 snipers and an intelligence operative all together as one team for a smash and grab retrieval mission??).

now to actually break down the whole 1.5 fights ct has in s10, I think that she probably somewhat shares wash's more grounded and pragmatic approach to combat as a whole, with the exception of her preference for duel wielding (which I personally headcanon is a thing she chooses to do because it makes her feel like an action/spy movie protagonist).

in both of her fight scenes ct seems to rely very heavily on her ability to plan ahead and get the jump on her opponents to take them by surprise (dropping from the ceiling to take out the two marines when she met up with the innie leader in the scrap yard, and using her armor enhancement to conceal her real position which allowed her to pin tex's arm behind her back), and I think it's safe to say that she probably isn't the kind of cqc fighter than can mow people down left and right like carolina can.

as mentioned above, I think ct's main goal is to take her opponents out in the quickest, quietest, and most efficient ways possible, much like a spy or an assassin, and while her loadout is great when she is in ideal circumstances where she's able to sneak around and avoid unnecessary combat, I don't think it's very good when it comes to drawn out encounters. we see this in her fight against tex and carolina, as while she handled herself pretty well it seemed like the longer the fight lasted the sloppier ct ended up getting, and eventually she made enough minor mistakes that carolina was able to knock her off her feet and disarm her in a single move, and tex, who was now aware of ct's armor enhancement, was able to cut her down.

Fun facts abt residents according to Ikevamp Radio (ヴァンなま) Part 3

Continuing down the line with episodes 8-10!! These are getting longer bc it's getting more and more chaotic and funny

Episode 8: Makki and Morishi in Vincent and Sebas cosplay!!!!

Morishi (referring to Makki’s amazing cosplay) “I can’t destroy the atmosphere of the game (so I have to look good)… well I kinda already did (destroy it) but…” (the 2nd sentences refers to the fact he says weird things in his “I love yu” segment)

Another thing the two did that was cute—Morishi: does driving motion w/his hands Makki: “You don't see taxi drivers so handsome like you. I would be your customer anytime”

Morishi: “Maybe I should become a driver? Haha”

Also!! Makki: “Is Vincent cute?" Morishi: “Yes, Vincent’s cute. Makki’s cute too”

“I love yu” segment coming up!! Sebas starts out by saying “Sigh. Baths are really nice. It’s so nice that I can forget about the fact that I wasn’t nominated in the ever-so popular Ikemen series election (this was during the Ikemen election of 2018)

Also when Vincent enters the bath, Sebas is like “well, well. If it isn’t Master Vincent, whose route was just released and is gaining popularity by the minute.” (This episode celebrated Vincent’s jp route release) and then continues “Congratulations on your route release” to which Vincent’s confused. And then Sebas coughs and says “please don’t mind me”

Vincent likes oden, thanks Sebas for always cooking delicious food

Sebas stops breathing for a sec, then says “Ugh! As expected of a route-released character. So bright!”

Vincent’s worried abt Sebas’s weird attitude, Sebas reassures him that everything’s fine

The two bathe together so much now that it’s almost like a routine

MC is sick in this episode? Sebas brought her okayu (porridge), she happily accepted

Vincent wants to make her porridge as well, asking Sebas if he should put ginger, tabasco, or habanero to warm up her body. Sebas says “she will probably explode if you do that”

Saddened, Vincent proposes to peel apples, Sebas answers “Nononononono. It’s dangerous.”

Vincent: “It’ll be fine. I’ve actually gotten better at cooking. I can make scrambled eggs now”

Theo used to look after Vincent when he’s gotten sick

Sebas gave Vincent chocolates for valentine’s?? It was chocolate in the shape of a sunflower bouquet??? (how is that possible to make???) For Napoleon, Sebas gave him chocolate in a shape of a horse, Leo was given a chocolate in a shape of cigarettes (that’s kinda funny bc in Japan there are these snacks called Choco Cigarettes which are basically that)

Sebas gave Isaac apple-shaped chocolates, who, according to Sebas, made a weird face upon receiving it

Vincent’s in awe, reaffirming his theory that Sebas can do anything

So Sebas confirms that he only gave the gifts to the residents nominated for the Ikemen series popularity poll (Napo, Leo, Isaac, and Vincent—idk who the last person is) and wishes luck to Vincent (Vincent’s just confused but is like “I’ll do my best, I guess?”)

A new segment of the show called “van Gogh and Sebas and sometimes you!!” Where the viewers can vote on the situation they’d like to be in, and Morishi and Makki will act it out as Vincent and Sebas. The chosen situation was “where you are feeling down, and Vincent and Sebas try to make you laugh by doing funny things” and OMG the things they do are FUNNY AS HECK (aka very ooc), they just scream “yeaaaaaahhhhh!!!”

In the script they were given it literally just says “YEAAAAHHHHH!!!” and everything else was adlib

So next up in the “van Gogh’s drawing section” instead of drawing, they made paper-clay dolls of their characters and… well it was interesting to say the least. I recommend just watching the livestream itself for the experience

The two asked the audience if they even wanted the paper-clay dolls, and they were surprised by the “yes”s 

Anyways my fav segment!!! “Can you tell me… your name?” This one was even funnier by the fact that the camera continued to be focused on the Vincent and Sebas clay dolls while the two said their amazing lines. Well, it was supposed to be like that but there were so many voices of laughter and the two VAs couldn’t take it seriously so the camera zoomed out to their faces

Vincent’s line was “The wind here’s a bit too cool, so come here.” Most were serious names, but the last one was “Sebas, the wind here’s a bit too cool, so come here,” and Morishi just entered into the camera frame (it was zoomed into Makki while he was saying his lines)

Sebas’s chosen line was “Woosh! I have seen the inside of your skirt! (しゃっ！スカートの中いただきました)” (idk even know how to translate it, basically Sebas saw your undies from under your skirt when the wind blew too hard) the facial expression Morishi has while saying this line is so funny

There was “Yoshihiko, woosh! I have seen the inside of your skirt!” Makki replies, “I don’t wear one lol”

Episode 9: feat. Leonardo’s VA Tsuda Kenjiro once again once more

Tsuda stumbled on his line when introducing himself. He went “Leonar—aahhhhh” (he was trying to say something like "The voice of Leonardo da Vinci, Tsuda Kenjiro or smth")

They did a poll bc they were curious on the ages of the audience (0.8% were elementary schoolers, 3.3% middle school, 4.6% high, 13.3% college/university, 78% adult/workers) they think the children are watching by themselves, not w/their parents/guardians (they need to make the show available for all ages)

Very random but there’s a segment (that I never talk abt that’s been existing since the 1st episode) called “Motivation! Energy! Suzuki!” (やる気！元気！鈴木！) where a self-proclaimed low-level Cybird employee Suzuki-san introduces events and gachas happening @ the time of the livestream (you can tell why I skip this section. It doesn’t really apply now) Anyways, so she uses her phone during this segment so the VAs can pull on gachas and listen to voice lines in featured cards, and when her phone went back to her lock screen (accidentally) it showed Mozart’s drawing of Vincent from Vincent’s pre-route release and I thought it was neat

So to the thermae skit!!! This is probably one of my fav thermae skit episodes bc it’s so chaotic

Just like usual, Leo and Sebas sing the song whenever they are a part of the thermae episode (the same song from episodes 1 & 3)

Vincent notices that Leo and Sebas are acting a bit weird, the two join Vincent in the bath to talk about it

Leo asks what Vincent thinks of when he says “spring,” Vincent says that spring reminds him of cherry blossoms and he loves them

Leo thinks of the word “farewell” when thinking of spring, then tells Vincent that he has something to inform him

Leo’s planning to leave the mansion, Vincent’s confused asks him if he fought w/Comte

Sebas urges Vincent to be calm and let Leo continue. Leo describes that has a life-long dream of wanting to be a basketball player (I’m not even sure if basketball even exists during this time??)

Vincent is confused, but Leo continues “I know it’s not like me to say that. Besides, no one has ever heard of a basketball player who's a vampire. So I tried to give up. But nothing I do will let me forget about it!” 

Vincent: “Forget about what?”

Leo: “The sound of a basketball bouncing off the floor!” (Sebas: “dun, dun, dun, dun, dun" <- that's the sound of a basketball hitting the floor) Leo: “It’s almost as if god is telling me to not give up on my real dream”  (Sebas: “dun, dun, dun, dun, dun. Ando-sensei, I want to play basketball.  [←What reference is this idk] dun, dun, dun, dun, dun")

Leo: “So I’ve finally made up my mind. I’ve decided to leave the mansion and go to the Americas.”

Vincent is confused, and during this time, Sebas starts “I’m sorry to interrupt while you are deep in thought, but I also have something to tell you, Master Vincent”

Vincent: “Wait, you’re not going to say that you’ll be leaving the mansion too, right?”

Sebas: “It’s exactly that.” Vincent: “N-no way.”

(So apparently Sebas has been working in the mansion for 3 years?? I’m guessing MC is here rn so… idk more new info ig)

Sebas: “I’ve been really wondering what it means to come face-to-face with others… And my conclusion has led me to… wrestling.” (Vincent's confused even more)

Sebas: “In the sport called wrestling, you face an opponent without any gear. It is the ultimate definition of coming face-to-face (literally) with other’s bodies.”

(IT JUST GETS FUNNIER FROM HERE) 

Leo: “The two of us, in 2020, desire to compete in the Olympics held in Japan.” Sebas: “I believe my goal is to shoulder the Japanese flag (日の丸).”

Leo & Sebas: “(Master) Vincent. The two of us will be leaving this mansion!”

Vincent: “So… you’ve already made your decision. Then, I can’t stop you. Honestly, I’m a little—no. I’ll miss you a lot. I thought of you two like family.”

Leo & Sebas: “F-family…”

Vincent: “But! I shouldn’t do anything like stopping you from achieving your dreams, right? I-I’ll be watching over the two of—”

Sebas: “Ahhh! Stop!”

Vincent: “... ‘Stop?’”

Sebas: “My chest is hurting so much, I can’t continue doing this! Master Leonardo!”

Leo: “Ooooii, Sebas! Do it properly til the very end....”

Leo reveals that April 1st that’s coming up soon, aka, April Fool’s and everything that they stated previously was a lie. Sebas apologizes, willing to do anything to seek forgiveness from Vincent

Vincent is relieved, saying he can’t be angry at the two bc the happiness he feels from being able to spend more time w/the two overpowers the feeling of anger.

Sebas says phrases like “viewers” and “broadcast” confusing Vincent, but Leo tells him not to worry since it’s Sebas’s usual “meta-fictional expression/breaking the 4th wall”

Afterwards, Vincent says “I forgot to tell you two something. Actually, I’m not a big fan of baths because they’re too hot.”

Leo & Sebas: “EEEEHhhhhhhh!!”

Vincent: “It's a lie. Sorry. I wanted to tell one. Haha. To be honest, I really like baths!”

(I can’t believe I translated almost the whole skit that took so much time. I hope I don’t do that again... I will do it again)

“Can you tell me… your name?” segment comin up!!! Dang Leo’s line “Come here, closer.” his VA has such a good voice I’m swooning

Sebas’s line “Do you want to eat dried squid (atarime)?” Is just so random?? Like usually his lines are funny but at least related to the season or holiday at the time of the broadcast, but you can literally eat dried squid any time of year.

Anyways onto the names being called. There was “Atarime, do you want to eat dried squid?” and “Makki, do you want to eat dried squid?” w/Makki quietly replying “yes, yes.” There was also Tsuda-san and oyaji (dad).

Episode 10: for the first time in this radio the VAs are doing it in front of an audience

They do this episode in their cosplay which looks amazing as usual

Morishi had Vincent’s Drama CD, and wanted both Vincent and Makki to sign it, addressed to him. Also wanted Makki to draw both Morishi and Makki’s face on it (Makki did all that)

Makki said that Morishi is slowly eating at Sebas's character (basically Sebas turning into Morishi himself)

The return of the “van Gogh and Sebas and something you!!” segment!!! Lmao all the situation descriptions are so long. The chosen situation was “Protecting you from a suddenly-appearing enemy. However, Vincent and Sebas can’t decide who will hold them back, instead arguing against each other” One of the choices was the one they did last time, and Makki was like “pls don’t choose that one” (the one where they try to make you laugh)

Vincent: “We can’t hold them back. Let’s divide the work. One of us will take her (MC) and run away while the other holds back the opponent.”

Sebas: “A very smart decision. In that case, Master Vincent, I’ll leave everything to you here.” takes you away

Vincent: “Eh? Sebas? Isn’t it typically the opposite?”  Sebas: “Eh?”  Vincent: “It looks like we need to have a discussion”

Vincent: “Hey, strong opponent,”  Sebas & Vincent: “wait a moment!”

Vincent’s reasons as to why Sebas should stay is bc Sebas can do anything, so he should be able to hold back the enemy.

Sebas: “Master Vincent, you have more hit points (hp) than me” (since when was this a RPG??)

Vincent: “But above my hp, it says I’m poisoned”   Sebas: “but you only lose 1 health for each poison damage. I’m paralyzed, so—” Vincent: “You’re paralyzed?” Sebas: “and I’m cursed, so I should get away first”

Vincent: “But see, I don’t have any gear equipped.” Sebas: points to Vincent's scarf “But you have your scarf”

Vincent: points to Sebas’s vest “But this jacket here—it gives 100 defense, right?”   Sebas: “I got it. I’ll just take it off” Sebas takes off his outer jacket

Vincent: “Wait, Sebas…”  Sebas: “And then, finally—” Vincent: grabs Sebas's inner jacket “you’re wearing two jackets?”

The discussion was going nowhere, so they decided to end with rock-paper-scissors. Sebas won against Vincent. Vincent: “Sebas escaped, but I’ll do anything for her.” (he says this thrice, showing how salty he is)

Makki said this happens in a parallel world, different from the typical ikevamp period

Thermae episode coming up!! Aka they become idols!!

MC looked tired recently, from overworking and stress, so Sebas came up with an ultimate plan named “I want to make her happy! So we will become idols!”

Vincent doesn’t know what an idol is, Sebas describes it as someone who can sing and dance and make others happy. Vincent’s not sure if they can be something as amazing as that

Sebas: “With your pretty face, dignified personality, and angelic smile, you have all the attributes of an idol”

Vincent: “Sebas too, works hard all the time, and both your personality and appearance is very cool.” Sebas: “thank you for the compliment. Recently, I’ve been feeling that one of my charm points, my coolness, has been challenged.” (It's prob bc you're so weird in these skits, Sebas!!)

Sebas creates rules to become an idol. “Rule #1: an idol’s introduction must be catchy!” Vincent can’t think of one on the spot, so Sebas pre-made one for him. 

Sebas: “Hii! I come from Japan. I’m known as Sebas, aka Sebastian. My job as a butler is always done in a relaxed manner—” Vincent: “Relaxed!” Sebas: “controlling everyone with a cool stare—” Vincent: “Control!” Sebas: “I always understand my position. I keep my emotions in check—” Vincent: “Check!” (Vincent’s chanting Sebas’s words btw) Sebas: “But for tonight, I can express my feelings.”

Anyways it’s Vincent’s turn. Vincent: "Hai! From Groot Zundert, I’m everyone’s angel, Vincent! My hair texture is fluffy!” Sebas: “fluffy!” (Sebas is chanting now) Vincent: “My mood is fluffy!”   Sebas: “fluffy!”  Vincent: “I want to surround you fluffily (?), help you relax with my angelic aura! But… (he suddenly gets serious) don’t forget that I’m actually a man.”

(Both Sebas & Vincent’s lines are supposed to rhyme but my tiny brain doesn’t form great words to do that so you’ll get the literal translation here :PP)

Vincent says he’s embarrassed from doing that, and feels his face getting hot. Sebas says they should get going to the next page of the idol adventure

Vincent’s like “We’re striving to be idols, right? By the time we get there, I feel like she will have recovered…” Sebas: “...” Vincent: “You didn’t realize that, Sebas? You must really like her…” Sebas: “It seems like it…”

They decide to visit her instead after the bath to make her feel better and help her improve

Also I really wasn’t expecting so many ppl to be interested in this??? Anyways I finished all the episodes so as I promised the next parts will be coming out in the next two days :))

i really don’t like when mari can beat any of the boys in a fight out of her suit unless it explicitly states how she’s so strong. these boys have been training their whole lives and i don’t think marinette could beat them with little training out of the suit. like don’t make her strong bc you want her to be strong do it to further the story or have a good explanation as to why

i may have said i don’t like salt but i definitely do, as long as it makes sense at least a little bit. i think any ship other than daminette (depends on the fic ofc) does salt well, honestly like adrien as a bestie more than an enabler but if you don’t like adrien definitely read a maribat salt fic

i have talked abt this but i’m gonna say it again bc it also happens with these ships, marinette does not have more trauma than any of these people and unless you specifically make it that way (which would take a lot of work and a lot of trauma considering what they’ve been through) i don’t like people writing it as if she does when the most they say she’s been through is losing a couple friends and them being slightly mean ( i am NOT talking abt when they physically harass/assault her)

another thing about daminette is that he has green eyes and a tanner complexion so they don’t look too alike but with the rest of the ships they look like siblings and it’s not a deal breaker or anything just a siblings or dating situation

Thank you for this question! First of all, I am very sorry it took me so long to answer, but I have to say it was a difficult choice for me (Sophie's choice, one might even say).

Before I start, I want to give a little disclaimer: there are some books I haven't read in ages. For example, I was the biggest fan of Anne series back in the days - I read Anne of Green Gables at the age of 8 and I remember loving it so much.

But then, I read other Montgomery's novels and loved them... even more. While Anne's books are still close to my heart, I haven't read them in years, while I still keep coming back to other books. That is something I should definitely change - if I reread Anne series (and Maud's other books) and my rating changes, I'll make a new list!

That being said, Anne of Green Gables is definitely the most iconic Montgomery's book - it is a beautiful, heart-warming tale of coming of age - and Anne herself is the most iconic female character Montgomery had ever created.

Ok, the disclaimer was very long, but I needed to make things clear, for Anne series is only listed as fourth - but not because I don't enjoy it, but because I need to reread it...

Oh, and another thing: I only included the novels, not short stories.

Emily of New Moon trilogy - my absolute favourite. I know many people have issues with these books and I understand this. Still, that's my number one. I must say I was not too satisfied with an ending of Emily Climbs (2nd book) and the last chapter of Emily's Quest (3rd) seems very rushed (although I like the way it ended... generally). All three have the first place ex aequo.

The Blue Castle - very close second. I love this book so much. In my opinion, Valarney is the best romance Maud had ever written. It is a lovely book - full of humour and fantastic characters; the one I keep coming back to each time I need a little cheering up. It never fails to do so. But oh, poor Cissy...

Rilla of Ingleside - it is probably the saddest book Montgomery ever wrote, but it is just so beautiful. Rilla is the heroine that goes through the biggest inner change... My favourite things about this book were: Rilla and Jims's relationship and Rilla's development. I wasn't into the romance there, tbh. Also... Walter... (tearing up).

Anne series - I will rank the books from my most to less favourite among the series: Anne of Green Gables, Anne of Island, Anne of Avonlea, Anne of Windy Poplars, Anne of Ingleside, Rainbow Valley, Anne's House of Dreams, The Blythes Are Quoted. That being said, I really liked all of them, but I still can't get over Joy (that's why AHoD is so low. I mostly like reading about Anne pre-motherhood, even though I also adore all her children... I know, I just contradicted myself...).

Story Girl and Golden Road - I adore stories about childhood friendships and this one doesn't fail! The only sad thing - Cecily's fate :(. But truth be told, I got the impression that the King children acted a bit young for their age... on the other hand, maybe that's the way things used to be in the past.

Jane of Lantern Hill - another great book! Jane is very different from other Montgomery's heroines - she's so practical! I adore her as a character.

Magic for Marigold - I remember loving this book, but... I haven't read it in ages. I need to change that.

Tangled Web - I have some issues with the book (the racism, marrying close relatives etc.). But on the whole, I enjoyed it. I liked some stories more, some less... and one can get lost among all these Darks and Penhallows (I always get their last names wrong, even though there are only two choices!).

Pat of Silver Bush and Mistress Pat - another series I haven't read in ages. But I wasn't too fond of these books as a child - I couldn't understand Pat too well... But I really liked Hilary. I think I should give the series another try someday... maybe I'll like them more now.

Kilmeny of The Orchard - the only Montgomery's book that I dislike... no sparkling humor. No lovable characters. Ideal Kilmeny... stuck up Eric... and the awful references towards Italians. No sir, thank you. Not me.

Ok, that's my list. I feel the need to say that I find all of Montgomery's books delightful. Even Kilmeny of The Orchard had some lovely descriptions of the nature...

I truly hope that I haven't offended anyone. I am really curious what other Montgomery's fans rating would be...

i have a whole list of reasons why i heavily dislike Fiona. it is honestly pretty long. so in my head i want to put her first but i also want to put lip first. but thinking back when i watched shameless I remember js being baffled by the shit she did. so i think i will go with Fiona as number one and lip js right behind her. like right behind her. or maybe js put them both in the same ranking.

so next i am gonna say ian. i never disliked ian while watching shameless he was always one of my favs. but getting more into the fandom after finishing shameless made me see him in a new light and not particularly a good light. ian has done some shitty things but thats the whole point of the show. so ian for 3rd (or fourth?)

bringing me to carl! carl wasn't that bad of a person if you just cut out white boy carl. in the first few seasons he is really painted as this just sociopath but also not at the same time. like cancer carl was so sad cause he was also sweet. but also he blowtorched cats. buttt he really was a sweetheart. like when Fiona was in jail or getting the house back. so, number 4th. (or fifth?)

and last but not least Liam. what a sweetie i love him with every bone in my body. And I mean, Liam is just a kid, he hasn't done anything wrong, he's like 11 in the last season.

Oh my gosh hello!! The Locked Tomb has been my favorite series since I read the first book a few years ago! I was obsessed I was full in I hadn’t been that into reading since high school when I would read in the back of every class. Never has a book made me ugly cry so hard.

The second book is the main reason I write in 2nd person POV for Odette most of the time (‘:

I’m gonna slap the rest of this under a readmore just in case people don’t want to hear about the books or don’t want things spoiled on accident !! But also this kind of turned into a long explanation of Odette’s whole deal, sorry (mwah).

But! To answer your questions!

1&2:) Yes. Pretty heavily but maybe not obviously? Like. Harrow and Odette would not get a long and Odette as she is does not fit the Necromancer vibes of the ninth house. But I was so enamored by these goth nuns being so out of place and so devoted and Harrow being so!!!!! Ready to ruin her life for her faith because she needed her faith so badly to cope with the grief.

And then the way it just all!!!! gestures.

Odette was always going to be a nun, as a result, and the psychopomp stuff felt right after I’d been playing her for a while. We run into Ashkin/undead several times in the MSQ, side quests, and fates and the like; someone being able to aid these ‘souls’ and return them to the lifestream feels like a role for Odette.

She would maybe make more sense being a nun of Nald’thal but I headcanon that each of the 12 have their own funeral rites. Nald’thal is the judge of all dead, that is his role! But each of the 12 get a say in how their faithful are laid to rest. A psycopomp’s role, traditionally, is not judgement but guidance and love knows no judgement, but she does know guidance.

The moths in her screenshots are souls themselves, flocking to Odette for aid in whatever form that means. Sometimes it means slaying their body so they can rest, sometimes it means cleaning their resting place or returning items stolen by graverobbers, sometimes it means finishing anything unfinished they have left, or solving their death or just finding them and laying them to rest. Each soul needs something different.

The skeletons originally were a metaphor and a call back to that root influence of the Ninth house. With encouragement from friends, though, they’ve become much more ‘real’ in her canon. Serving as her trust and guardians on more dangerous searches. (When None can’t join her but also sometimes with None!)

So you can see it’s a very loose influence, but the 1st book is 100% the reason Odette exists. Death nuns??? Please… What a gift.

I have a Locked Tomb AU with my friend, peep, in which Odette is the Ninth house Cav and Avidia the Third House Reject turned Ninth House Necromancer. The Cav/Necromancer relationship is sooo intense and I love reading into to them too much, as does peep, so it’s very fun for us. Would third house ever send one of their necro to the ninth house? No! Probably not! But Avidia must always be a reluctant ex-pat, and so! (It’s a complicated story but we really like it LMAO takes place far before the first book)

3:) The soup scene is SO good, I reread it a few times because it was just so!!! Amazing. This is such a hard question because so many of the scenes are so good.

Three-Way with God is good. Ianthe’s Arm Scene (SCREAMS!!!) The pool scene from book one is ofc a fav but ugh.

The one I think about the most is from book three and it’s a tie, I think, between tree moments at the very end of the book.

Paul’s (re?)birth and “You can’t take loved away.” and “Why are you not appeased? That is how meat loves meat.”

I can’t wait for Alecto the Ninth, truthfully !!

4:) GOSH! This is hard also!!! Nona is also a favorite of mine and I know she has influenced Odette heavily. She’s just so!!! Nona loves you!!! I hope we get to see some of her again, just glimpses, now that she’s been returned. Sobs into my hands for four days straight.

I think Camilla Hect is one of my favorites and Sex Pal, of course. Which means Paul… Paul… my love I can’t wait to know you.

You didn’t ask this question, but I do think there is a lot of Hect in my alt Prudence. That quiet competence and skill, that devotion, that dry wit.

My opinions on Ikemen Villain Characters

Look! I just found out today that there are voiceovers of the characters. Yes! I forgot to hear them when I was translating the whole character profile. I was listening to their voices and I'm slowly warming up to some of the characters I didn't care about at first....and I found my new favorites!!!

William Rex

He looks BEAUTIFULLLLL!!!! I'm happy that they broke the trend of Black-haired male leads. As the page-boy of this game, he looks perfect. His design is not too over the top but also not blunt. I LOVE THE COLOURS USED ON HIM!!!! I'm in love with that beautiful cape!!! Design-wise, out of the page boys of every ikemen game, William is my favorite.

Personality-wise I feel like he's gonna be the friendly type, which is not usually my favorite...but I hope they make him domineering and a little bit sadistic, who loves teasing people. I hope they do it! Then I might fall in love with this guy even more. I can't wait for the trailers to come out!!! For now he's my 2nd Fav.

And in my other account, I said that there will be 3 factions----one led by the black-haired male lead, one by the black-haired male lead's rival, and the last one by the villain. This guy looks like he is the leader of the 1st faction----containing Harry and Liam (Alice in wonderland gang) because he's the Queen of hearts.

Elbert Greetia

Ahh...Blonde hair blue eye male leads are the best! Repeat after me: "BLONDE HAIR BLUE EYES MALE LEADS ARE THE BEST AND I WILL WORSHIP THEM"

He looks..haaa....so pretty that'll die when he smiles at me. Again, the design, the cape...I wanna see him as the rival male lead to William because he's also a Queen (Snow white gang) and he also has a fancy cape....and he looks beautiful so much that he can have my heart as well. I'll eat any poison apples he gives me and I'll die happily~

Personality-wise I feel like he's the quiet type but also he sounds very kind and maybe a little bit of a yandere. But I'm looking forward to this guy because he's the second male lead according to me. Now he's sharing the spot with William as my 2nd Fav.

Victor

I'm in love with this guy ever since I saw his silhouette and recently, I've started liking male leads with long hair. I know everyone expected him to have white hair, if you deny then you're lying! I too expected him to have white hair but I'm happy with this design as well...because he looks as equally as BEAUTIFULLL as the two people mentioned above. Again, the BEAUTIFULL CAPE!!!

Victor, I have an offer for you. How about leaving this game and joining Ikemen Genjiden as IDK a new demon or something? Or become the King of the Underworld....because that's the vibe you're giving me right now!!! I swear, if you become the king of the underworld, I'll present myself to the eight-headed serpent and would ask him to swallow me so that we can meet in the underworld and get married....and....make me your Queen...I guess. (Yeahh, that's a bit too much)

Personality....I can smell my Yoritomo. I feel like this guy is gonna be Yoritomo with long hair. (If you don't know who Yoritomo is.....well, he's my husband) because look---they both have black hair, they both have blue eyes and they both have that (⌒‿⌒) fake smile....or maybe he is actually Yoritomo....

Harrison Gray

I like Harry's design, although he doesn't look like a prince, he looks like a more playful sarcastic free thinking kinda guy. He could be the big brother character of this game...and I'm very picky about the big brother characters. I want them to sound cool, desirable, and caring towards MC like patting her head and giving her his charming smile, teasing her from time to time, and spoiling her when she works hard...Yeah! That's the big brother male lead character I want! I just don't want Cybird to ruin this character by making him overly perverted and doesn't make his every dialogue sound like it's a script from a porn movie. That's all! He looks nice, so I want him to sound cool!!

Liam Evans

Design-wise, he's fine....I'm more concerned about his personality. Yeah, sure he's gonna be the character that flirts with MC constantly. I don't mind those types of characters but I'm picky about them as well. Again, I don't want them to be overly perverted. Make him a little bit like a gentleman but also flirts with MC from time to time. I'd be happy if MC playfully flirts with him too instead of blushing like a typical MC. But for now, he's my least fav from this game.

Roger Barel

Hmmm....I wasn't interested in him at first, but he's slowly growing on me..for some reason. I feel like once I start playing the game, I might start liking him even more. But for now, my heart belongs to Victor, William, and Elbert. For now...all I can say is...Wait for me, my love...

Nice design...doesn't give doctor vibes at all and he is egoistic? Can't wait to see how that transpires. For now, he's my 3rd Fav even though I'm not super into megane characters. Just please don't hold a whip, sir. I don't wanna see another megane character with a whip in their hands.

He's a doctor character as well, so if in the story MC is sent to war something, I need a valid reason as to why she's there. I don't wanna hear excuses like "Oh, she's here to treat the injured soldiers." or "Oh, she's the lucky charm"

Alfonse Sylvatica

Two words: TOTAL PSYCHOPATH. He looks to be SPY character of this game. That's all I feel for him. He's now along with Liam as my least fav character from his game. Though it might change once I start actually playing the game.

Jude Jazza

Again, another man with a beautiful cape!! I know it's a coat, but he wears it like a cape and he's a format Yakuza member? Seriously? Cybird, when are we going to get Ikemen Mafia? Make that you're next game!!! If you're running out of ideas, just ask me or the whole fandom!!

Design-wise, he's perfect, he gives me rich bossy vibes! He could be tsundere. Yeah! SO far, I haven't seen the tsundere character of this game, so maybe Jude is.......Hmmm...

Personality-wise, he is said to be arrogant and ruthless and loves to enjoy people's misery....sounds like Ibuki 2.0. I might like him. I'm starting to love villain characters recently. 'Villain characters' as in 'Villains' from each game for example, Kicho from Ikemen sengoku, Silvio from Ikemen prince, and my fav, Yasuchika, Ibuki, and Akihito a.k.a YasuBuAki!

Ellis Twilight

This guy, I feel like he has some kind of obsession with Elbert. I can't understand Japanese, so I can't tell what the characters are actually saying about each, so it's just my guess. I wouldn't mind a good platonic relationship between the male characters. Some great friendship moments, brotherhood, a little bit of rivalry, tension, and awkwardness in showing that the male leads care for each other...things like that are what I crave! Simply a romantic story with MC is just boring, so I want scenes where the male leads have fun moments together, like teasing each other or playing video games...anything is fine! Don't shy away from doing it again, Cybird, the fandom really loves it when you show male leads with great chemistry in a funny situation. Ellis for now is my second least character.

Trunks vs Goten - Who is the more compelling character?

So anyone who reads my DBZ posts knows that Future Trunks is my fav DBZ character hands down. Gohan is 2nd place. Besides Gohan and Future Trunks, I do not acknowledge the other hybrids...until now.

Kid Trunks and Goten were done dirty in Z. I was watching their tournament fight recently and my heart ached at all the missed potential with these two. I know Kid Trunks at least has his future counterpart to get some street cred from but let's ignore Future Trunks for now. Which kid had the best story beats? Let me find out!

Hybrid Potential

Trunks is stronger than Goten but only marginally. So I believe Goten has more latent potential than Trunks. Despite being younger and only getting training from Chi Chi and then like a month of advanced training from Gohan, Goten is able to compete with Trunks who had better training facilities and a more dedicated training partner (although it's debatable how involved Vegeta was in Trunks' training after more reflection).

Relationship with Fathers

Trunks wins this hands down. We first got a taste of Vegeta's development in the Android saga with Future Trunks. But then we have the hug scene with Vegeta and Trunks in the buu saga. Vegeta has never held his son and it's tragic that he does so when he is about to sacrifice himself to atone for his sins. We see Trunks wanting to impress his dad and Trunks even has a moment where he declares he wants to be a better fighter than his dad so he can succeed where Vegeta failed in defeating Buu. We see funny moments at the end of Z and GT where Vegeta acts like a regular dad, threatening Trunks' allowance and chiding him for slacking. Goten's moments with Goku are lacking to say the least. The scenes they have are not really all that deep in the grand scheme of things. How does Goten feel about his dad being gone for most of his life? How does Goku feel about missing his son's life? The relationship between Goku and Goten is sadly very generic and hollow. All the amazing father moments were given to Gohan. Even when Goku leaves with Uub, Goten, along with Chi Chi, is completely shafted. Instead, the emotional moment is given to Pan. Poor Goten.

Sibling Relationship

Do I even need to explain?? Goten hands down! I love Gohan and Goten's relationship. I love how Goten sees his brother as a role model and you can feel how much they adore each other. Gohan is Goten's main masculine figure so Goten probably saw Gohan as a dad-like figure growing up too. Goten is also such as sweet baby brother. As for Trunks, I can't say the same. First, the age gap between him and Bulla is huge. He was already a grown teenager when she was just a toddler. Plus, she is a girl who shows no interest in fighting. I can't see these siblings being too close. She probably grew up functionally as an only child. I wonder if Trunks ever felt jealous of how good of a father Vegeta was to her? That is something I loved reading about in fanfictions in the past. We just don't see much interaction with Trunks and Bulla but that is expected given the circumstances and Bulla being a useless character anyway with little screentime.

Personality

This is hard. I personally find Kid Trunks more interesting as a kid character. Goten's personality is less entertaining. Trunks has the dominant personality so at times Goten just feels like his sidekick. However, Goten has an edge when things become serious. I blame a lot of Gotenks' attitude on Trunks. Trunks also presented himself as a bad influence on Goten. After Buu killed Chi Chi, Goten became serious. As soon as that boy entered the time chamber, he got down to business while Trunks was goofing off. Goten was taking the threat seriously until Trunks' attitude rubbed off on him. Sigh, poor Goten. I want to call it a tie...but I will give my vote to Trunks.

Relationship with Mothers

I will say that it is totally unfair how Chi Chi was demonized for wanting to protect Gohan but the same is not done when it is Goten and Trunks' turn to save the world. All of a sudden, the kids are poor babiesssss wahh :(

Anyway...I love how both moms changed after their sons were born. Before Trunks, Bulma was super immature and flighty. She became really admirable, and less annoying, after she became a mom. It was so cute the way she was always holding Trunks! As for Chi Chi, Goku's death really mellowed her out. Goten must have been a blessing for her, especially given his uncanny resemblance to Goku. I think Trunks helped with Bulma's development more while Goten had a greater symbolism of his dad living on. Goten would likely be a bit closer to his mom given she was his sole parent. Ugh, this is really hard to choose...but I will go with Goten. A lot of emphasis was placed on Trunks' relationship with his dad while for Goten, it was his mom. I think a lot of Bulma's development is centered around her relationship with Vegeta. For Chi Chi, she is highlighted more as a mom than a wife in my opinion. Which is understandable given Goku's high absenteeism rate.

Conclusion

To my pleasant surprise, I find myself favouring Goten over Trunks. I am shocked because I never cared much for Goten. However, I do think that Goten had so much potential to be a compelling character. So many topics could have been explored such as his relationship with his dad and his potential. Also, maybe Goten could have been the son who loved fighting and was the one to take up the mantle instead of Gohan??? The seeds were there to make this storyline happen. We could have ended Z with Goku training Goten alongside Uub. Ahh, the missed potential. As for Kid Trunks, I just can't care too much about him because he will always be overshadowed by Future Trunks. He can't compete.

This is my unexpected opinion! I am open to hearing other views.

This is Ochako's favorite stuffie to offer any littles she is watching over. It is from her childhood and even missing an antenna (don't worry, he's not in any pains, he told me he doesn't feel it anymore). Usually she watches over zuzu and denks and so the three of they play together and have lots and lots of fun. Ochako isn't a little, she just loves to play and interact with other littles

This is little Tomura's favorite stuffie!! he has to hold him in his full arm bc he is so big big big !! He is a quiet little as long as he has something to distract him (his game) and something to squeeze when the scary thoughts come (the stuffy). Which is exactly how I use this one!! 12. If you could write effortlessly and as much as you wanted, what story (s) would you write for this character?

I wish I did have any practice with writing cause I’d want to write about her time in Shimousa directly after being repaired by Limbo, and explore her inner thoughts as he intentionally gives her orders intended to hurt her as much as he can, and messes around inside her head. Her telling herself she’s just a doll meant to be used by him but actually being bothered by his actions.

I’d also like to rewrite the middle/end of the Heian-kyo chapter to be focused on her like it should have been, and I’d definitely include a noncon scene with Limbo’s bugs cause I can’t believe they didn’t take advantage of those. It would be so easy to make it a proper conclusion to her arc and her breaking free of his control and fully coming to accept her humanity (cause she still tends to dismiss her own feelings as inconsequential cause she’s a puppet)

And the other I’ve discussed before is a scenario after she’s summoned to Chaldea where she breaks down and Limbo is the only one with the specialized knowledge required to repair her so she’s left with no choice but to let him mess with her body again

I’ve known her less than a year and already I think the big impact she’s had on me is she got me to fully realize just how much I love dolls? Danzou was the final push I needed to get a bjd and I’m even having my first one look like her ❤️

For fics- rhysgore's "dutch wife" (its the sole english LimDan fic and REALLY GOOD, its Danzou pov and 2nd person which I don't see much, but i find it adds to the creepiness. I love their descriptions of how her doll body works as well as her thoughts)

綻ぶ蝕甚 by 遠野ラーテル I don't know who else can actually read this one, but i can't not list it cause I constantly think about it. Great Danzou character study focused on her relationship with Limbo, the first half being in Shimousa where she's obedient but finds herself dwelling on things like the girl he mutilated for parts to use in her. And the second half is her Servant self summoned to Chaldea being haunted in daydreams by him without fully being able to remember, in contrast to the first half she's much more openly distressed. Sfw but dripping in eroticism, and they capture this very distinct unsettling atmosphere between them, and don't hold back when it comes to his cruelty and Weirdness about her.

It has a lot of great imagery too, this is a piece i did of her based on it

A stupid story idea with to much inspiration fro! other media

This idea was basically a shower thought but it has now escalated.

There will probably be a lot of spelling mistakes so, have fun

This would be a mix of fantasy, mystery, adventure and possible romance (idk bro)

The world is "split" into two parts, the above (where we live lmao) and the below/the underground. In The Above, it's like our world but they're in the 1900's. Only humans live there and they only think of The Below as a legend or just an old wife's tale. In the Below, it's full of monsters (but there are still humans) and it's more advanced in some districts. The creatures in the Below include, humans, vampires, nagas, centaurs, sirens, werewolves, demons, angels and shapeshifters. Also there are mages who can be any creature with magical descent. Inside of the Below, there are 4 districts, it's also in layers like a cake. The 1st district, in which the main species are humans, werewolves and centaurs (but others are welcome) and the district is more of a middle and some lower class. The 2nd district is high class and rich, with the best things inside the below. The main species are vampires there is a growing population of sirens (others are also welcome, but for a high price). The third district is like the black market esque place. There is a lot of illegal action going on there and it's not really a friendly place to be. The main species are naga's and shapeshifters (others are welcome with a hypothetical gun to their head). Then the fourth district, the whole place is shrouded in mystery, no one can go in and no one will. The only thing people know is that, the main species are angels and demons that were taken out of heaven and hell (to do what? Idk).

Btw, I'll go into species lore sometime later

(species) human mage. (age) 14-17, idk her exact age yet. (district) 1, but she travels in-between. (extras) she is a somewhat powerful mage but she can't control it

Possible love interest and deurorltagonist: (name) Juliet. (gender) female. (personality) like Rapunzel from Tangled and N from murder drones. (family) only child to rich, entitled parents. (species) human. (age) 15. (district) none, is from The Above. (extra) she ended up in The Below bc of a huge ass crack in the ground that she fell into

side character/my fav so far: (name) Nigel. (gender) male, he/they. (personality) like Angel Dust from the pilot of Hazbin Hotel and Kaeya from Genshin impact. (family) family? Who needs family. (species) naga. (age) probably in late 20's or 30's. (district) used to live in d2 but now D3. (extra) I leaned heavily into the Angel Dust inspiration lmao. he was a very well known rich person but one day he just stopped, became a drug addict and lost all of his money. He also has a lot of connections throughout the districts.

I honestly don't have any other ideas for characters yet but if anyone has any ideas, I'm listening :)
