It continues to shock me how much the Snaters really don't know the canon.

First, Lily never rejected Severus the two of them have been best friends for years. The one pestering Lily to go out with him was James.

Second, the scene where Snape goes to Godric's Hollow doesn't exist in the book, it's just an addition in the movie to make everything more dramatic. (If we want to consider movie scenes canon then most of the accusations made don't exist since they don't happen. These people are really too confused) And then what? Or if we take the scene from the film at face value, Snape hugs the woman he loves instead of helping Harry, so what? This poor man was destroyed, can we leave him alone for two seconds to cry?

i’m almost scared to say this but i don’t think the hanging snape upside down and pulling his pants down is sexual harassment… like i am a hater to my core and snape is a very interesting character i love to hate. but i think traumatizing bullying can be traumatizing bullying without being morally reprehensible or even all that notable to the bullies. i think snape and his pals were in a much more pound for pound fight with the marauders, even if it didn’t start that way. i think the predator prey dynamic described in the books is a reflection of james & sirius’s tendency to corner him, much like draco/crave/goyle vs the golden trio minus the moral piety of the golden trio. hermione punched a very deserving draco, but we don’t call that battery because it would be RIDICULOUS. this is a trope in terms of “how children pick on each other” that jkr relied on. i don’t think it’s supposed to be deeper than that. and it’s fine if you believe that it is deeper than that, but i think the “morally reprehensible” angle is kind of wack.

Blaming Snape for creating Sectumsempra is like blaming a woman for carrying pepper spray in her bag for self-defense after being repeatedly harassed by a specific group of men. Can you really blame a victim for creating a weapon to protect themselves against their tormentors, while at the same time praising the Marauders' ingenuity for creating tools to spy on, stalk, and invade others' privacy purely for fun and bullying?

There is no fucking way that Voldemort didn’t know that Snape was a spy. Dude was out here saving Harry’s life in plain view of Tom and he fucking knew it. He was fucking bad at it. Sirius is violent.....very violent unlike Severus.

It is an interesting contrast, many call Severus the worst but he did NOT bump Sirius' head several times while he was unconscious, Severus put Sirius' body on a stretcher, Severus may know about the dark arts but he used that knowledge for good. like when he prevented Katie Bell from being cursed or when he helped Albus with the gaunt ring.
