for the longest time my brain just did not want to write. but then two scenes came to mind and bam, chapter!

Wilbur showed up like he was arriving at a party. In a sense he was since Dream was taken down and he was going to see Tommy again. Dream may have revived him, but even that wasn’t going to convince Wil to help the tyrant. When he reached Philza and Techno, he was surprised to see no sign of Tommy. “So, where is he?”

“Tommy? He’s showing off his base to Tubbo.” Grian spoke up, making Wilbur notice him. His parrot wings were folded tightly so they couldn’t be seen, which was perfect for him. "Hey, you got something in your hair.”

Wilbur patted his head. “What, my hat?”

Grian shook his head and put a blue feather there. “It’s right there.”

“I can feel you put something there.” Wilbur pulled the feather out. “Don’t need you-” He stopped talking once he actually looked at the feather.

“Hey look, I’ve got one too.” Techno said pointing at the yellow feather placed behind his ear.

“No.” Wilbur sounded dumbfounded and looked back at Grian, who now had a red feather stuck in his own hair.

“Alright, let’s go see Tommy.” Grian spoke nonchalantly before Wilbur grabbed him.

“Oh no you don’t! You don’t just get to drop that bombshell on us and walk away!”

Grian laughed. “What, missed me?”

“Yes! Where the fuck were you?”

“Oh, here and there. How are you doing being alive again.”

“Less violent than I was before dying I suppose.”

“Good! But I’m still not letting you near Tommy.” When Wilbur tried to say something, Grian stopped him. “Nope, you can’t argue. I’m oldest now.”

“What the fuck to you mean, I’m a minute older than you bird boy.”

“Not anymore, I’m now in my thirties.”

“Wh- How?!”

Philza put a hand on Wilbur’s shoulder. “We can talk more when we meet back up with Tommy.”

“Yeah, we can visit his base hermit cribs style. I’ll grab my backup elytra and some rockets!” Grian ducked into a shop to use their ender chest. “Oh yeah, are you guys okay with rockets? Because Tommy told me Tubbo doesn’t like them. They won’t explode or anything, they’re just to help you with flying. Obviously dad and I won’t need them, but uh, you guys don’t have wings.”

“I’ll take them.” Wilbur said. Techno was less eager, but did also accept the elytra.

As Grian was about to take off with his family, Scar cleared his throat to get their attention. “Now Grian, while I am glad that you have found the family you lost, I am still very serious about that paperwork. I have different forms for if they’re planning to stay permanently or if they’re just going to visit often. I can send the paperwork to your mansion if you want though if you just want to come to town hall right now, we can do it there.”

“Scar, right now I want to talk with my family and figure out what we’re doing. We can’t really sign paperwork if we don’t know which paperwork to sign, right?”

Scar nodded in agreement. “Alright, I’ll send it to the mansion then. Also about the other people visiting.”

Grian flapped his wings to quickly get into the air. “Sorry Scar too far away can’t hear you byeeeee!”

On the ground, Phil sighed, though he was smiling. “I guess this means we better start flying. Let’s get up higher for an easier take off.”

Though it took an attempt or two, the avian lineage seemed to help Techno and Wilbur get the hang of using elytra extremely fast. Though in the air, Grian hadn’t flown too far and the others easily caught up with him. He guided them to the south west towards where Tommy’s base was.

As it came into view, Grian couldn’t help but laugh as he heard a gasp from behind. They landed in front of the arch acting as a doorway on the ground floor to find Tommy leaning against it. “Took long enough dickheads.”

Grian was about to jokingly scold Tommy when Wilbur went to hug and or lovingly bully his younger brother. Tommy waved his arms in an attempt to get Wil to stop, but he kept running towards Tommy. Just before he could reach the blond, he was tackled to the ground from the side by Grian.

“Grian! I was joking! It was going to be fine!” Tommy complained, helping to pull the avian off Wilbur. “You don’t have to keep mothering me! Stress does that plenty!”

“It’s not my fault I wore the chicken mask that long.”

“That is entirely your fault! And wearing a mask that long doesn’t change anything.”

Tommy and Grian continued to playfully argue until Philza caught their attention. “Oh right, forgot we had meetings to get to. Hey Tommy, which floor do you think is best for talking about all this.”

Tommy put a hand on his chin. “Hmmm, how about the sixth floor? I mean, that one is based on the smp.”

“Sounds great!” Grian said before flying up there, leaving the others behind.

“Hey! No fair!” Tommy shouted up. “Some of us have to use rockets to fly! Ugh fine we’re taking the bubble stream.”

Entering the tower, the first floor was just completely made of cobble. It was his favorite block and all, so if he was going to mainly use the first floor, that was the design he wanted. There were also a number of chests placed around to the point that it had become a bit of a chest monster. Wilbur couldn’t help but be curious and opened one chest, eyes widening at the contents. “This is filled with diamond tools and armor! You’re just leaving it here?”

Tommy looked over to what Wil was referring to. “What? Oh, that’s from endbusting. It’s all cursed gear. You should have seen the time I caught Joe afk and gave him a set of binding diamond armor. I’m not sure how he didn’t notice right away, but the moment I mentioned I liked his armor, he jumped in the nearest lava pool.”

“Really? Other than the curses, this seems like it’s pretty good?”

“Not really. No one is really stealing from each other so everyone’s got great gear. Besides, part of the prank was giving Joe diamond gear. He apparently said he wasn’t going to use diamonds this world and burns them when he gets them.”

“He just burns diamonds?!”

“Yeah.” Tommy shrugged, then walked over to one of many bubble columns. “Here, this one goes to the sixth floor. You guys go first. I want to make sure you go in it and not the others. I’ll show off my shit hermitcribs style later.”

When they got off the bubble elevator, it was something that was recognized immediately. The floor was made of grass and one wall was missing and looking right at the now setting sun. In the middle of the room was a simple bench and a jukebox.

“Your bench.” Wilbur spoke up, making Tommy nod.

“Yeah. There’s also one in the shopping district. That’s for more public stuff. I’ll just be hanging on the bench and other hermits can show up to talk about shit. This one’s for more private stuff like this.”

“Or for letting me cuddle with you.” Grian poked his head up from the other side of the bench.

Tommy’s face turned a shade of red. “We do not cuddle!”

“Then what do you call what we do when you’ve had a long day and need me to come over so you can use my wings as a blanket.”

“Hanging out. Cuddling makes it sound weird.” Tommy crossed his arms.

Grian just tackled Tommy and wrapped him in his wings. “You’re not allowed out until you admit it!”

“Never bird bitch!”

He rubbed the feathers against Tommy’s face. “Say iiit!” Tommy just plucked a feather out making Grian pull back. “Ow! You didn’t have to do that!”

“I thought you wanted us to talk as a family or some shit.”

Grian rolled his eyes, but did nod. “Yeah, you’re right.” And then he sat down on the ground across from the bench. The others found their own places to sit and just sat there in silence for a few moments before Wilbur started the conversation.

“So, you changed your name then huh? Everyone’s calling you Grian.”

Grian nodded. “Yeah, I started using it back when I was in the orphanage and legally changed it when I was eighteen. Though it took a while with the criminal record.”

“I’m sorry, your what?” Philza asked sternly, but Grian just shrugged.

“Yeah I sort of murdered some people. I probably could have found a way around it, but at the time, it was the best answer I had. And I didn’t really have a good support system. I mean, I had friends, but how are you supposed to tell them you have voices in your head telling you what to do when they’re already not the best people themselves.”

Philza rubbed his forehead. “How bad?”

“Well…”

“No, nevermind. I don’t want to know.”

“So, you’re a Watcher?” Techno spoke up in a monotone voice.

Grian used enough of his power to make a third eye appear for a second before making it disappear again. “Yeah, whatever took me from you guys happened again and dropped me off in a world that was like, so many years in the past. I actually got dropped there with a lot of people and the Watchers sort of played around with us. Nothing as bad as what Dream seemed to be doing, just puzzles and cryptic clues and portals everywhere to push us forward in time when they saw fit. Eventually they convinced me to join them.”

“Just like that?” Techno raised an eyebrow.

“Nah, I was a real pain in their side for loads of time before they finally asked me to join. I’m pretty sure it was because it was because that was the one way to get me to stop messing around.” Grian laughed at his own joke before looking sadly at the floor. “First thing I did was start looking for you guys. I assumed you would still be in the castle or somewhere nearby, but the place was abandoned. And it’s harder to find someone when you don’t know what world they’re in.”

Philza started to reach for Grian, but the younger avian’s wings started to puff up in agitation. “You know, I don’t know if I should be happy that I found you or upset. I could have never figured out where you guys were unless I got lucky peering into worlds. Only reason I found out was because Tommy came here. And he only came here because he ended up in a dangerous world with no family helping him. And you nearly took him back there.”

Tommy put a hand on one of Grian’s wings, making him puff up even more. “Hey, calm down Big G. You made sure they couldn’t do that. And if they do try, just knock some sense into them.”

Grian calmed down, though there was still tension in the room and no one spoke. The first thing that broke the silence was a yell from above them. “Tommy! How do you get down? I don’t have a water bucket on me!”

Tommy jumped up from where he was sitting. “Oh shit! I’ll be right there Tubbo!” And Tommy jumped out the window. Grian waited a moment before asking the others to look behind them, which they did just in time for all of them to see Tommy making a face at them all as he went up the bubble stream. A few moments later, Tubbo was going down a different bubble elevator and then Tommy glided in through the window. “Sorry, I keep the down one closed off so the bees don’t wander their way into it on a suicide mission. Tubbo couldn’t find it and obviously he’s not flying around.”

“Can you actually ask him to come up here? I want to say something that involves him.”

“Got it.” Tommy leaned out the window. “Hey Tubbo! Come back up here! Use the one with green glass!”

A moment later, Tubbo exited onto the floor. Tommy pushed Wilbur off the bench to make room for Tubbo to sit. “Hey! How are you so strong!”

Tommy gestured at the room around them. “I mean, I got help from some of the hermits for the interior, but the exterior was all me. I mined tons of shit looking for diamonds and I used it for here. I mean, I also got some help with the flag on top, but otherwise, all seventeen floors were built by me.”

“Seventeen floors?!”

“I know, they’re all as tall as this one so it’s small as fuck. Only big one is the top since I didn't waste an extra ceiling with the roof there.”

“You should do what Tango did last season and add a dragon or two.”

“Nah, might just start making a castle to pair up with it.”

“Tommy! What the fuck!” Tubbo said suddenly. “How did you get so good?!”

“It’s just sort of how we do stuff here on Hermitcraft.” Grian answered. “You were at Iskall’s tree right? That’s his base. He got us to help collect the leaves, but he’s been placing it all.” Tubbo just looked like his head was about to explode. “Anyway, I wanted Tommy to call you here because I didn’t get the chance to tell you. You’re the admin of the smp now.”

“I’m what?!”

“I figured after all I’ve heard about you from Tommy, you would be safe to turn into the admin. Obviously it can be moved to someone else, but you were the first choice.”

“I can’t be the admin! What if I end up like Dream?! I already wasn’t the best at being president! What if I screw up and they put me in pandora’s vault too!”

Tommy hugged Tubbo. “You were a great president, you just had to deal with bad people. And they’re not going to put you in some stupid fucking vault for a mistake.”

“And if they do, we call in Mumbo. Speaking of him, I should call him over.” Grian pulled out his communicator and hit the call button for Mumbo, putting it on speaker for the fun of it. When the redstoner answered, Grian spoke in a dramatic and joking tone into the microphone. “Mumbo. Babe. Light of my life. Father of our children.-”

Though Grian sounded like he was going to continue, a tired sounding Mumbo came through to stop him. “What do you need Grian?”

“We’re at Tommy’s base. Can you come over and meet everyone?”

“I was already planning on finding you. I’m of course on Grian watching duty after that stunt you pulled. I would have already shown up but the redstone blocks finally needed replacing.”

“Remember to bring scaffolding. You know water and redstone don’t mix.”

“I’m well aware. Bye Grian.” And Mumbo hung up.

Grian and Tommy explained more of everything on Hermitcraft and answered more questions while they all waited for Mumbo. Finally there was the distinct noise of scaffolding being placed and they saw a tower appear in front of the window and then keep going up. From below, they could hear Mumbo talking to someone else he had brought along. “You don’t need that much. Grian said they’re only on the sixth floor.”

“But I want to see Tubbee! Tubbee Tubbee Tubbee!”

“You can see Tubbee later. C’mon, let’s see Grian first.”

After the talking stopped, up the scaffolding came what looked to be a small child. Behind them was someone a bit taller, but obviously still young, and last was a man in a black suit and a mustache.

“Dad!” The smallest one ran over and jumped at Grian. Wilbur looked between Grian and the kid.

“Wait, so that wasn’t a joke. You actually have kids?”

“Well you have Fundy. I have these two. Meet Grumbot and Jrumbot.”

Wilbur opened his mouth again with a sly smirk. “Is he any good?” and then added in a wink.

When he realized what was being implied, Mumbo’s face turned a bright red and he tried talking but it was all flustered stuttering. Grian has a similar though not as pronounced reaction to the question. Jrumbot looked between his dads confused while Grumbot looked at Wilbur. “My brother and I were merely built and are powered by redstone. We have no organic parts. Our dads are not together and thus have not had se-”

“GRUMBOT!”

DRV3 Boys playing TF2 Headcanons

(First made long before the F2P mute and bot crisis but I added the bot crisis)

Me and my bro made up many scenarios AND cosmetics for the class (my brother mostly help me with the idea)

I originally have the terminologies explained like market gardening, friendly and such but cut it because it’s getting too long. If you want the terminologies, you can tell me. Btw, I’m not an imagines blog, just doing this one for fun.

Kaito Momota

Main: Soldier

Thrilled to play this game, saying that's very manly and it's one of the coolest games yet

He, along with Kaede (and to an extend, Chiaki), are the ones who introduced the game to the class

Was a scout main at first and likes the scout unironically

A terrible tryhard warpig soldier

Saw a rocket jumping soldier at a High-tower map and wanted to imitate that, almost like he's blasting to space

Watch this guy try to market garden someone and then get fucking rekt by a Medic of all classes

He just dies, a lot, which is frustrating and his team gets mad at him

Kaito gets better at it fortunately, but it's a painfully slow process

You'll be lucky if he decides to go back to Scout in a round lmao

Rages in chat or voice but is the best cheerleader you can have in your team, he never actually shits on you for being shit on the game

There's that one time where Kaito got the Rocket Jumper from a drop, fired it at an enemy, got angry how it didn't worked, realized it doesn't do damage and embarrassed himself

Gets a bit pissy when no one is doing the objective so he avoids the maps Hightower and 2fort most of the time

Capture the flag and payload races mostly pisses him off for the same reason (tho he would go to Hightower for the sick rocket jumps)

So he doesn't like friendlies (but he may or may not, you know, do the conga, rock paper scissors, mannrobics, kazotsky kick-)

Anything that looks cool and manly cosmetics, but mostly you'll see him decked with space cosmetics

Bonus: Avoids Full Moon and Scream Fortress, is obviously afraid but he gives Alien Invasion a shot when it comes up, loves it. Also like Doomsday

Rantaro Amami

Main: Engineer

Everyone seems to be like it so why not give it a shot?

He got invested and also found the trading system

Rantaro usually plays engineer but is willing to change classes if the team needs a class

Is at least good at every other class

Rarely does turtling or battle engie but enjoys doing it with the other engies for laughs, and is very good at battle engie

Some people confused him with Uncle Dane

Hc that Rantaro looks up to Uncle Dane

Imagine Rantaro and Uncle Dane having a collab, that would be sick as fuck

Casual and competitive but more casual, often plays in community servers

That type of person who voice chats

Rantaro is one of the ones who would help his classmates play, along with Kaito. Imagine him like in a server with Kaito and Gonta, helping Gonta how to play and Avocado and Space boy act as a translator while Bug boy plays cutely

Doesn't mind friendlies, he chills with them a lot and he is easily well liked by the community

Some even suggested him to make a tf2 youtube channel

Has an unusual hat, making him look like a pro, has a lot of medic girlfriends because of this

One of the two reasons why the whole class have a wide array of cosmetics

Gonta Gokuhara

Main: Medic

At first he doesn't like how violent the game is

But since this violence is just for fun and in game and no one is actually getting hurt and dead so he's at least convinced

Still wants to play passively so Gonta goes with Medic, healing and helping his team seems to be a fitting choice!

The game is not too complex so he learns easily... i-in a way

Best boy learns fast, he should be fine

He's definitely that type of Medic who would go to someone when they press the E key and whoever is near him

Doesn't know where to look most of the time, gets lost easily to big maps like the control points

Gonta still has a firm grasp on what to do, like if he noticed that someone is in low health, he'll heal them immediately without needing the 'e', build up uber, spy check the patient, and never heal spies when they're disguised

Can't aim for shit, though he supposedly gets better at it with the crusader's crossbow

He sometimes would accidentally forget to pop when it's necessary and then die

"Danke!" Says that a lot

He doesn't play a lot despite having fun, he's an outdoor type of guy

Absolutely LOVES friendlies and just loves it when someone just stops, does the conga taunt and everyone follows, creating a conga line (until someone kills them all but it's all in good fun!) He loves silly servers

Is honestly surprised that there’s even such thing as silly servers and friendlies, thought it’s all blood and gore (he sometimes switch to pyro vision googles to avoid gore)

Sometimes plays as Heavy for the protecting part and the friendly Hoovy part for this reason

Anything fancy for the cosmetics, especially for hats the Gentleman's Gabsy or the Vintage Tyrolean (a good cosmetic for a good gentleman!)

Has a lot of cosmetics like Rantaro and trades them with the class

Bonus: Isn't fond of Banana Bay and the Second Banana... because banana

Kokichi Ouma

Main: None (most played: Scout)

Bold of you to assumed he never played this game before

... or is it a lie?

Needless to say he likes it for the cartoony and chaotic vibe of the game

Switches between the 9 classes, even if there's 5 spies he'll be the 6th one

He'd be that Medic who would leave the others to die, Scout that steals sandwiches from Heavy that's meant for the dying Medic and so forth

He might as well pretend to be a sniper bot

Chaos incarnate

This is the fucker who spams E and X+5 (Place the dispenser)

Also taunts in every kill

When he's on a losing team, he would try to bind kill right before the time is up or taunt kill in humiliation, sometimes works

Actually really good at the game, he's one of the very few people who picked up very quickly

Though he fooled Gonta once as a disguised enemy spy. He got rekt when they both noticed the achievement

Also dominated someone so badly that they immediately rage quit, another achievement

Another "you'll be lucky if he plays seriously" which is rare

Is definitely on a 30+ killstreak

People would sometimes thought he’s a squeaker (a kid who rages in voice chat) so he just fucks around with them and then just pulls a no u card

Neutral opinion on friendlies though he gets bored when no one is doing the objective or any action happening so he burns them all and watches them get mad in the chat

Obnoxious combos of cosmetics that you can easily recognize that purple neon Scunt from afar even if he's under an alias

Korekiyo Shinguuji

Main: Spy/Sniper

Not interested at first but is interested when others play and hovers over their shoulders to watch

While watching Gonta and Kiibo playing with the friendlies, he got interested

You don't see that in a lot of fps games

Korekiyo looks like an edgy sniper/spy main who just watches the chaos enveloping from the distance and getting headshots/backstabs out of nowhere

He's very calm and collective despite the crazy amount of chaos and all the deafening sounds of the vc

It's amusing to him, he even find the Administrator interesting and would sometimes go into many modes to hear her voice tone changes and a lot of behaviors of many players too

He even noticed the voice lines of the mercs and got invested in the lore of Team Fortress 2

Korekiyo still does his job in the game but can sometimes be interpreted as him in afk, almost got him kicked

Though he does get kicked for the being good at sniper, people getting butt hurt and called him a hacker

Also an amazing spy checker

Is interested about friendlies, he would come up to them close and observe them and he plays along with the taunts

He got really interested to see this "culture", like how most of the players collectively decides to play silly, serious or both, resulting him trying out almost every game mode and map there is

Unironically loves 2fort, Hightower, Suijin and Degroot Keep

Often joins community servers and silly servers but will do casual/pub servers whenever he feels like it

Something that resembles him irl, he looks edgy with the mask tbh

Other than that, his cosmetics changes depending on what mood or observation he wants to do

Ryoma Hoshi

Main: None (most played: Demoman)

Convinced by Kaito into playing

Not that much actually

Mediocre at best, he’s just doing his own thing

Definitely would stick around even if there’s one person in the server

Imagine getting killed by a Medic as a Demoknight in a melee fight with a shit weapon Do No Harm, couldn’t be me... or Ryoma

Likely plays Passtime

He will never admit it but he finds the ragdolls in the game funny

Also unironically likes the Scout

Demoknight tf2

God, imagine Ryoma has demonknight speed, combine it with his own speed and Solarlight skills, he’d be infinitely flying across all maps and go beyond the skybox

Ryoma too strong pls nerf

Doesn't play it often, not really his thing

Doesn’t mind friendlies, honestly surprised that there’s even such thing as one

Doesn't customize himself, though he likes the animal cosmetics

I apologize to the Ryoma fans out there for this being short

Shuichi Saihara

Main: None (most played: Spy)

Also doesn't see the appeal, but convinced by Kaito into playing

When he played the game for the first time, every time he dies, he switch to a class just to test them out

It’s too much for him, please hold him

Probably fell off a cliff several times-

Imagine the sheer amount of panic he feels when playing any class, especially Medic since Medic is a death magnet

Rockets, explosives, bullets, fire, blood and ragdolls everywhere! ... oh hey why is that guy just crouching with a melee?

He gets the hang of it over time

One of the best spy checker there is as well, not only as Pyro, though he feels sorry for the new spies (or newbies in general) so he tries to teach them the best way he can

The server kicked him for using hacks to find spies but for him, it’s obvious???

He usually plays the class whatever the team needs at the moment

Hard reads are strong in this one

Sushi likes the friendlies, chills with them a lot :>

Doesn’t customized himself, Kaito’s the one who helped him with it

Main: None (most played: Heavy)

It's ok I guess

He also doesn't have a main because he'll try to accommodate in which class is needed

If the whole team is like a full house of cards (in a 4 snipers, 5 engies type of way, you get the idea), he'll mostly go for the Medic since he knows it's vital for a team to have a Medic

There's rarely any Medics or Heavies in the start of the round, are they an endangered species??

He might start an event or something dedicating to the two classes

It never goes well despite Keebo's efforts in those, let's be honest

Though sometimes the team has like three Medics, the poor boy is confused

He's actually doing alright with all the class

The bot problem, oh god the bot problem

So there's that one time where the Myg0t bot joined, the enemy team said in the chat about kicking the bot

Well... obviously this made Keebo upset, as he thought they were referring to him

The server thought Keebo was trolling when he said something about him being a robot and saying that they're being robophobic... and sending them to court-

By some kind of miracle, the server liked Keebo because of this so he wasn't kicked out but he's incredibly salty throughout the match

"The server is robophobic" "Keebo, they were referring to the aimbots, they weren't robophobic" "... What Aimbots?"

His classmates were able to explain with videos and experiences, and also told him about several other types of bots that ruins the fun, which made Keebo embarrassed for having the wrong assumption

Though he still gets offended whenever it happens-

Like Kaito, he also doesn't like friendlies, insisting that that it's not how really play the game, though is guilty in pre-game conga lines, mannrobics and kazotski taunts, he likes the mannrobics

Bonus: Does NOT like the bot deco and is conflicted with the Mann vs Machine game mode

Shaking his head, Baden looked at Thane and felt his breath catch in his throat. Thane had a soft smile on his face, a rarity that only very few were privy too. Dried sweat made the loose hairs stick to the sides of his face, outlining his sharp jawline. The late afternoon sun only brought out his mesmerizing dark eyes and brought attention to his long eyelashes. Dura, he was beautiful. Baden glanced away, nervously changing the subject. His wife was expecting.

Joining Shemira on the ground, he glanced back up to where Kelthur still sat. "How did you find out?" He kept his voice quiet so only Shemira would hear, the sounds of the forest drowning out his voice from being carried. Shemira didn't reply right away, instead letting out a soft sigh. "Silvina. Her and Kelthur were sent out to gather more oils when they came across the wind whisperer." Ferael blinked a few times before looking at Shemira. "When?" Shemira looked up at Kelthur, who was climbing higher in the tree with an amused grin. Kelthur waved down at them and she waved back. "A few weeks ago, before autumn." Ferael nodded. He made sure to keep himself as calm as he could, though silently cursing.

An Uneasy Camaraderie

"I may have chosen this, but I assure you; many of the men and women who fight alongside us on the battlefield didn't. There is a reason why we have the division in our own undead factions. While some of us get along, there are those that don't. I only told you this as a warning when it comes to trying to understand us, we aren't all evil as you have presumed." There was silence among the few gathered around the fire until Kaz jumped up. Running and pouncing, she jumps at Ferael, making both Silvina and Kelthur laugh as the archer struggles to catch his balance. Kaz grins from her spot on top the archers shoulders. "Pffft- you're getting slow, old man!" Kaz laughs, jumping off of Ferael. "Shhh, don't say that to his face! He's touchy~" Silvina jokes as Ferael walks away throwing his hands up in the air. Kelthur stops laughing, cursing under his breath before turning towards the girls with an apologetic grin. "Sorry, would hang longer but I'm being forced to go with him back to the forest to restock."

Evening Out The Battlefield

Glancing down at his arms, he did a quick internal scan to see if anything major was injured. Thankfully, his important and major systems were functional, only superficial wounds that appeared but he’d dealt with worse so those could wait. Unfortunately, because it was, of course, an organic planet, he had dirt, leaves and sticks stuck in his amour seams. Never mind the scratched and scrapped paint by his less than gracious crash landing, Sunstreaker already felt annoyed by this planet. Getting up and trying to ignore the gross feeling of dirt and gunk caked in between his plating, he stared to where their pod crashed. They’d travelled a long way and he was honestly surprised that their escape pod even lasted as long as it did. When they broke the planet’s atmosphere, the pod had overheated which was probably why they’d been flung out of it. Reaching out with his spark bond, he felt Sideswipe begin to online. With his spark directing him towards his brother, Sunstreaker curled his lip. He could feel the dirt creep into his joints and protoform with every step he took. Primus he hated organic planets. Why did Prime choose an organic planet?

Wherever The Solar Blasts Take Us

Having stopped by a tech shop earlier to buy some ‘high tech’ computers which were really primitive, he was relieved to find out that his old credit card still worked. Of course, this was still going off on the hope that the autobots really were struggling like he had assumed. If not, he could just give it to one of their human friends, maybe he could win some points. It wasn’t because he was nervous, no way! Knockout felt his spark quicken up as he drove into Jasper. He never really gave it much thought on why neither him or Breakdown had reported to Megatron that he was aware that the autobots resided somewhere nearby the small town. He had told Star, who only shrugged at the information.

Dear God, he was still alive and quirkless and useless. "You are still alive. And completely healed." A rough voice spoke through his sobs. Izuku took a deep and shaky breath, shakily sitting himself up. He wiped his tears with his sleeves though it was done in vain as the tears kept pouring out. The man was now crouching beside him, head tilted as he watched Izuku. "Did you know you would survive?" "No." The answer spilled out of Izuku's mouth before he could even process his mouth opening. A fresh wave of sobs and tears worked it's way to his throat, though he was now trying to calm his breathing. The stranger hummed, before tugging on Izuku's sleeve. "Well, no one else besides me saw. I'd say get out of here before people come near and see you sitting in a big pool of your own blood." Izuku nodded and stood up before freezing altogether. A pool of his own blood. That meant- looking at the sidewalk, Izuku noted the large splatter of blood across the ground. It painted the sidewalk a dark, angry red.

The Terror Teens

He’s glad he brought her. She can deal with Giran better than he could, even on a good day. Despite dealing with the older man for the past four years, he still finds him insufferable. Who cares if he’s doing alright? Why act as if he actually gave a damn about Izuku when he was still selling him weapons and support equipment? God, he’s annoying. “Whoa, that’s an impressive face you’re making Midoriya.” Giran says, chuckling as he pulls out a cigarette from his pack. “It’s in the car but first we’re waiting for someone else.” Himiko nodded before bouncing over to the old man. “Who would that be? Are they fun? Are they going to stab Izu again? Why didn’t you bring it with you? Where’s your car? Are you planning to do something gross with us old man? Are you a pervert?” Giran takes a long drag of his cigarette while stepping away from the girl before letting out a long sigh. “If I didn’t know that you guys have the money, I wouldn’t even bother with putting up with you two.” Izuku rolled his eyes at the fond tone Giran used. Did he expect them to believe he even cared for them besides being regular customers? Himiko let out a faux gasp before running to Izuku in a dramatic show of fake crying. “Izuuuuuu! He was being mean to me!” “Well someone has too.” Izuku replied, grinning at the look Himiko shot him. He ignored the choked sound Giran made. She placed a hand over her heart, looking both offended and shocked as she took a dramatic step back. “Izu, I thought we were friends.”

Fog In The Peripheries

Izuku opens his eyes. The fog is gone, instead replaced with confusion before being overrun with pure terror. The labs again. Izuku struggles against the restraints, feeling sick at the too bright fluorescent lighting, not seeing the doctors come rushing to him. At the sight of a doctor, Izuku goes limp, staring at the ceiling as all fight leaves him. If he fights it will only hurt more. He will be punished before something would happen and he will be pulled into the fog once more.

Some Things Never Change(d) - Suspected Traitor AU

It’s hard not to notice the way everyone’s been treating him. Very reminiscent of his life before now. Izuku notices the way everyone has slowly pulled away from him. How no one partners up with him besides Todoroki or Iida. How they seem to avoid him whenever they can. He notices how they cut him off when he’s talking. How they’ll walk away if he’s heading in their direction. How they talk about him whenever he’s not in the room, something he couldn’t believe the first time it happened. He had been running back to the classroom to grab his school bag, having written an idea for the new headphones Mei was working on for his costume. He was outside the doors, still in the hallway when he heard Uraraka and Iida arguing. About him. “You can’t trust Deku!” Uraraka. “This entire thing makes no sense!” Iida You were an idiot to think things would change just because you have a quirk. But why? Is there ever a reason?

A Convenient Scape Goat - Homewrecker Au

“You’re quirkless, yet while you attended U.A, you had a quirk which you used. Now, you are once again quirkless. How are we supposed to believe you that you’re not connected to-” Izuku didn’t bother listening, staring a hole into the table. All Might hadn’t bothered wasting time, demanding Izuku to give him One For All back as soon as he was taken into police custody. Of course, Izuku realized that it was his plan all along to get it back. He wasn’t surprised, but it still hurt. Knowing that his hero, the one man he had believed and trusted had used him and then looked for a way to throw him away. Izuku was only a means to the end, though he had wondered what would have changed if he had never introduced All Might to his Mom. Would All Might have actually cared about training him? Would he have been proud of him? Would All Might actually care about him other than seeing him as a mistake as soon as he brought up his own issues with his Mom? Izuku would never know. Because it was All Might’s fault he was here in the first place. Izuku was shaken from his thoughts as a hand gripped his hair and slammed it into the metal table. He heard the crunch of his nose breaking again, though he only shut his eyes closed. He would not give them the satisfaction of crying, not even as they repeated the motion until the darkness of unconsciousness took him.

You really hoped you didn’t sound as frazzled as you felt. The conversation had been normal; you had asked if Ieyasu was busy, he said he wasn’t. You wondered if you could go down to talk. He said yes. It was normal, but this didn’t feel normal at all. You had played just about every scenario through your head on your walk over, but that still hadn’t made you feel more prepared. Figuring you had been standing outside of his office for long enough, you knocked on the door.

“What?” Ieyasu sighed, “Oh, it’s you.”

Did you imagine it, or did he sound much less enthused to see you? No, no, he was like that with everyone. You tried to stay calm and not imagine the worst-case scenario and took a seat across from him.

“You’re fidgeting.” Ieyasu pointed out. “What happened?”

“I-” Was that concern? If so, you were making this whole thing much worse than it needed to be. Chill, YN, be chill. “I think we may be partners?”

“Are you just now figuring this out?” He questioned, a small smirk on his face. “Was it the publishers calling about the paper that gave it away? Or maybe the invitation to speak at the cytometry conference with me?”

“No! Gods, I know we’re partners. For the love of-” You facepalmed and groaned before spitting it out. “Endless Isle. You’re Edo, right? I think we’re partners.”

“Oh, who told you that?” So he wasn’t going to deny it? Did he already know? How long had he known?

“A coworker.” You mumbled, unable to make eye contact.

“Ah, so it wasn’t Masamune? Looks like he can keep his mouth shut every once and awhile.” Ieyasu commented.

“Excuse me?” You asked.

“Masamune called me last night. Was overly excited about meeting you.” Ieyasu relaxed into his chair.

“Oh, so you found out from your friend last night then?” You wondered aloud.

“No, I caught you playing portable months ago. I had a feeling based on the stories you were telling in-game. I wasn’t sure, though.” He shrugged as if that wasn’t a big deal.

“Wait, what?” The confusion was evident on your face as you thought back to all those times you had been playing your game around him at work. “Were you ever going to say anything? Or just let me keep telling you my deepest personal feelings?”

“I planned to notify you if the need ever arose. I would qualify this as one of those times.” Ieyasu reached for his coffee cup and took a sip as if it wasn’t a big deal at all.

“I-” Unable to form a full sentence, you stared out the window.

Panic already setting in as you felt your face flush. Thinking back to everything you had ever told him. Sure the work stuff was generally unproblematic, and he had helped you with Yoshimoto. It was good advice, but that also meant you had openly admitted you had a crush on him directly. Oh, gods, what did that mean? Had he forgotten? Should you ask him out? Wait, what if he turned you down? What if he hadn’t said anything since you were technically working on a development project together?

You couldn’t tell if you were mad or embarrassed. It was weird; you had spent the whole day trying to figure out if you needed to say to him, wondering if you should have brought it up at all, and here it could have come up naturally in conversation. What would you have done if you were in his shoes? Maybe he felt like you needed a friend? Perhaps he didn’t know the words to say, sure he was sarcastic, but he wasn’t that much of an ass.

“Do you need help finishing that thought, or do you plan to leave me hanging all day?” Ieyasu huffed, snapping you out of your thoughts.

“Sorry. I guess I just wanted to let you know? Uh, I’ll get out of your hair then. Thanks for your time!” You stood up quickly and found yourself scurrying out of his office before you could embarrass yourself anymore. Was it time to go home yet?

Ieyasu hadn’t thought anything of it when you abruptly left his office, you had been fidgeting the entire conversation, and it was clear you felt some type of way. He planned to let you work out your feelings on your own, and he’d talk to you tomorrow when the both of you usually ran quests. The problem was, you never got on.

He waited a week, thinking he’d hear something from you eventually. There were several deadlines for data publishing and a significant competitive quest that were sure to bring you in his general direction, but it didn’t work. Your supervisor dropped off the data stacks to his office, and according to the login records, you’d been AFK since your talk. He needed advice, and he only trusted one person.

“She’s avoiding me,” Ieyasu stated plainly when Masamune picked up the phone.

“I know, heard all about it from the Lass a few days ago.” Masamune chuckled on the other line.

“Oh.” Something tugged in his chest that Ieyasu didn’t like.

“No, none of that ‘Oh’ garbage.” Masamune mocked him. “She’s embarrassed, think’s she messed up, doesn’t wanna bother you.”

“I did get that impression from her the other day,” Ieyasu mentioned.

“So, what did you do about it?” Ieyasu’s friend asked him. “I can only tell the girl you’re the stupid one so many times before she stops believing me.”

“I’m not stupid,” Ieyasu exclaimed defensively, now pacing his kitchen.

“Uh, yes, you are.” Masamune barked out another laugh. “If you’re not, why are you calling me and not her genius?”

“Why would I bother her if she doesn’t want anything to do with me?” Ieyasu questioned.

“See, stupid; you’re being stupid. She’s avoiding you because she likes you. Remember, she told you as much.” Masamune offered. “Which is part of the problem; she’s been gushing to her crush for months.”

Ieyasu fell silent on the other end of the line. Thinking. If she liked him, wouldn’t she have reiterated it in their conversation? Why would she be avoiding him now?

“You’re sure about this?” Ieyasu finally asked.

“If you didn’t think, I was sure you wouldn’t have called me to start with.” Ieyasu could feel Masamune’s smirk through the phone.

“Fine. Where does she live?” Ieyasu asked.

“Uh, I don’t know. That’d be creepy. I caaaan help you set something up, though. What do you say? Wanna go on a date with the Lass?” Masamune asked jovially.

hi. so..... its been a while huh? feels kinda weird making a message on here, after what??? a month of not posting at fucking all??

and idk how to say that im sorry for taking so long, especially with kallie kinda sticking with me pretty much the whole time i was away. so we both kinda went AFK on everybody. and by god, this has also been the longest gap between updates. so yeah... i feel you all are owed an explanation.

id like to give a short summary of what went down in my life recently. not so much as an excuse for my disappearance, but bearing in mind, i can't just come back suddenly without a notice as to why it took so long, and then start discussing homestuck theories as if nothing happened, that would be ...weird and off putting. im known as one to talk a lot in a post, so i think its expected. buckle up kiddos, this may be a long one, which you dont have to necessarily read, but im simply putting it out there for you all in case any of you may have been worried or confused.

ALSO, keep in mind im alright with sharing this information because i needed some time to get over it in order to accept it, and being able to say this stuff means im pretty much ready to move on and go back to what it was like before (which for someone who has trouble focussing, can get quite fucking hard). so here's the last few months in a nutshell:

i got my wisdom teeth pulled so i was both in pain and numb for a week and a half after being drugged up with, idk, the IV they use to knock you tf out and that needle to numb your teeth?? and having those bad boys outta my mouth so that was a fun time. fuck that shit.

uhhh on the more upsetting side of things, a friend of mine recently passed away, but i took some time to recover from that. i didnt want to bum everybody out by liveblogging while in that state, nor did i feel like it was right to make jokes at that time (for obvious reasons) so i took some time off. and while i do still care for that person, after a while you have to come to terms that your life can't evolve around grief, and you have to move on eventually. its been a month and im doing way better than i was in the first week. so you dont have to worry really.. i even heard about the messages friends wrote on discord and let me tell you that i appreciate every response, i love all of them, i love all of you guys, but if any of you worry about me as of today, just know im doing perfectly fine and thats behind me now. so yeah, thats the worst of the news..

on less distressing matters, i changed up my job! i used to be a waitress at a restaurant to get that not so mucho money cash flowing, and now i got a full time placement as an intern (sort of full-time. full-time with student conditions). which in hindsight, to some may not sound like its any helpful, but considering im in my final year of college and i have to explore new places to get experience, id rather go where its needed so i reach that specific goal in mind. and you have to start somewhere, so this is where ill start heading. though i do still have to graduate which will take a lot of stress out of me eventually but it hasnt yet caught up lol... yikes to when that fuse blows in the future.

and finally, the most frustrating part of the month, idk who it was specifically, the company or the landlord, but eh details arent that important, anyways, the landlord and/or its agency messed up with our rental situation and lost a lot of our info so i had to spend a lot of time trying to get that back while also filling out tax returns bc those were finally put out. so yeah, we kinda just have to wait for a notice, though i personally think everything will be fine. we’re considering moving out eventually, but thats probably gonna have to wait a bit longer. while we’re still angry, the landlord respected that it was out of line and apologised while making it up to us, so that was fair enough.

so YEAH, you can pretty much say its been one hell of a fucking month, and i had barely any time to liveblog let alone be in contact with friends that i kinda missed so fucking much????... i basically didnt want to bring anybody down with me (emotionally or mentally), so i decided to at least give you all a warning that i wouldnt be on for a while, hence the last update a few weeks prior, and to take a break for myself to figure out my situation, to rest, and to try and get healthier despite that wisdom fuck week, which nobody warned me wisdom teeth removals were ABSOLUTE HELL

but... im glad to be back, im not sure ill get back into the rhythm of how things used to be, meaning, posting almost every day....that would have to wait a bit unfortunately. however, i think it would be best if i made a sort of schedule for myself. maybe a liveblog twice a week, starting the next. it would help out a lot. i hope to start off with that at least, and not push myself too hard for hours anymore nor the stress of needing to post daily. i loved it, dont get me wrong, but sometimes it took a lot out of me since i know it takes a lot of my time. that being said, i will be on discord, maybe tomorrow? and probably be more active on there from now on, since everything is sorta cleared in my life and there's no more hectic commotion 24/7. the only thing at this rate stopping me from being active is having family over in the next couple weeks. but otherwise, yeah, its good to be back and im again sorry for my absence once more.

the 2b2t survival guide

are you planning to play on 2b2t? have you been playing but can’t seem to get out of spawn? or have you been waiting 12 hours in queue to no avail?

in that case, have i got some stuff for you! heres a handy guide about how to actually play, and some tips to help along the way!

step one: preparing

you can just hop right in and go, but it is smart to know a bit beforehand.

know what you're getting into. the server has no rules to it, so you just have to expect a fuckton of disgusting shit, slurs, etc. just kinda accept that, and ignore it.

get a hacked client. sure, you can play on vanilla, but doing that will make your life harder. the best client to use is impact, but if you really need to you can download wurst instead.

make a plan. although this is optional, its smart to do. you can just wing it if you wanna, but it’s helpful to have a goal for what you wanna do in the server.

step two: queue

queue is basically inevitable, but there are a few things you can do to make the wait less painful!

decide if you want priority. priority queue is a godsend, it takes 30 min at MOST to join the server! but on the other hand, its 20 dollars per month. if you’re planning on playing for a long time and dedicating lots of time to playing? get priority. if you just wanna check the server out? don’t worry about buying it.

join when nobody else would. the best times i’ve found are near 1-3am, or on a weekday in early mornings. you’ll still have to wait hours, but not as long as you would otherwise.

pray for a server restart. when it restarts, turn on auto-reconnect (if you have that) or just keep on trying to connect. you’ll get onto the server extremely quick if you’re able to join right after a restart.

do something else. multitasking is the best way to wait. leave queue running in the background and check on it whenever you can, but fill your time with other stuff. i usually draw or watch videos when waiting!

step three: common sense

you gotta use normal common sense, but also server-unique common sense.

remember: there are no rules. people are going to kill you. people are going to grief you. people are going to say gross shit. the worst kinds of people are here on the server, you have to accept that.

what you build is gonna go. no matter how nice it looks, how far out it is, how tiny it is, whatever. its how 2b2t works. when you build, you have to remember that its going to get destroyed one day.

you aren’t safe. no matter how far away you are, or how nice that one person is. don’t get lulled into feeling secure, stay on edge. better safe than sorry.

enderchests are your friend. you’re definitely gonna die, several times, so keep any important things in your enderchest. for more space, put everything into shulker boxes and store the boxes in your enderchest. this is why silk touch pickaxes are something you’ll need: because your enderchest is the only safe place for your items.

signs are the best communication. carry a sign with you, and read all the signs you find. its not important, but its fun to read what people write, and its nice to make your own mark on the world with just a simple sign.

don’t trust anyone. or at least, be cautious of everyone. if you run into someone, expect deaths, and be cautious even if they give you stuff.

you aren’t special. oh, so you watched a bunch of fit videos and know everything about the server? no you don’t, shut up. you’re gonna spam things in chat and grief a bunch of builds to become a notable player? you’re gonna become a minor annoyance, shut up. you read this guide and now know how to become the best 2b2t player ever? my guide is shit, shut up.

everyone hates new players. don’t openly say you’re new. just stick to yourself for the first while of joining.

step four: chat

so you’ve joined, and you connect to see.. the constant spam of chat.

hide the chat. go into settings, and turn chat off. usually chat isn’t worth looking at, except for warning about server restarts. if you wanna keep chat on, just turn down the opacity.

use /ignore. theres bots constantly flooding the chat, so if you wanna keep chat on, spend time quickly ignoring all the bots.

don’t ask for help. you do not wanna let everybody know you’re new, and if you don’t get ignored, people will send gross shit or fake help instead.

if you have a question, ask google. like the point above, asking for help isn’t a good option. search stuff up on google or the 2b2t subreddit before asking chat. and try not to ask obvious questions either.

don’t get into arguments. don’t rile people up or argue, its kinda risky, and again some bad shit will get sent your way. its really not worth it. if you get angry at some gross shit people are saying, just /ignore them, because fighting them will make you just a laughing stock.

step five: escaping spawn

i know what you’re thinking, “tumblr user barrendome! stop rambling and just tell me how to actually PLAY now!”, and yeah yeah, okay, i will.

turn your hacks on. what i’d suggest is turning on storage esp, player esp/tracers, search (search for blocks like melons, crops, wood, etc), and things like that. also keep xray and freecam ready, and make sure you set keybinds for those.

collect, store, die, repeat. i never did this, but my boyfriend did, and it worked incredibly well. he would collect as many resources as he could, store them in an enderchest whenever he saw one, and then either die of hunger or something else. he’d repeat this process until he had enough stuff in his enderchest to get him out of spawn.

save your hunger bar. try not to run, and try not to jump. its hard, but its important. most deaths are from hunger in the first while of playing, so just try not to get hungry. for this exact reason, the main thing you’re looking for is food.

don’t go into the nether right away. spawn nether is impossible to get out of, so travel on the overworld for about 2000 blocks, and then its safe(ish) to go into the nether.

20000 blocks is the safer zone, but its still spawn territory. outside of 50000 blocks is when id consider making a base if you really need to, but try to go much farther if you can.

step six: just outside of spawn

so you’re out of the major spawn area... now what?

find food, farm food. get as much food as you can, thats the most important thing to do at this moment. make sure you have as much food as you could need, and store some in your enderchest.

make a temporary base. you can make a small house, a hole, or even just a dirt hut. just make sure you have a place to store all your extra stuff, and a place to stay for now. (sidenote, don’t put a nether portal right beside your house.)

find a bed. later on, beds aren’t a big deal, but at first they definitely are. try to find or make a bed, and set your spawn somewhere. i’d suggest hiding the bed somewhere near your temporary base, but don’t make it visible.

get geared up. use your xray and get some diamonds, look through dungeons for enchanted books, make yourself tools, etc. its best to get what you need now that you’re out of spawn.

go fishing. you can get food, enchanted books, xp, etc. going fishing is actually super useful. the autofish hack is your friend right now. but don’t go afk when fishing, you can get kicked for it.

remember the nether highway myth. if you have almost nothing, and are travelling on the nether highways, there’s a good chance a high-level player could stumble upon you, take pity, and give you stuff. remember not to trust anyone right away, they could still end up killing you. but there is still a chance that being on the highways could get you everything youd ever need. again, though, make sure to put everything in your enderchest!

step seven: planning and playing.

im ready! ..what do i do now?

make a goal if you haven’t already. if you wanna be a nomad? plan where you’re gonna wander. if you’re gonna make a huge base? plan where to build it and go out there. if you’re gonna go visit monuments? figure out which ones and their coordinates, and start walking. gonna join a group? figure out which one would be safe and fun to join, and try to get in.

get as far from spawn as possible. unless you wanna stay near spawn, try and get 100,000 blocks away or further. and if you really wanna keep a base intact, don’t stay near any of the major highways.

playing Fallout 76 while socially anxious

a sample list as experienced by me, which may or may not be relatable

couldn’t work up the courage to explore a nuked zone until I was about level 80 because there’s always a lot of people there

same with Scorched Earth and various other events

Still haven’t launched a single nuke. The one time I worked up the courage to go inside the silo I was pretty sure I had enough codes but had no understanding of how the heck they’re deciphered even after extensive googling, so I was nervous about doing all this work only to get to wherever you launch nukes from and then not being able to do it. After being in the silo for like 2 minutes, someone sent me a team invite and was suddenly with me in the silo and I promptly left the server for fear of embarrassing myself. I haven’t been in a silo since and that’s the only main quest I still have to do. And I still don’t understand how the codes work.

never played nuclear winter. Still trying to weigh the pros and cons of in-game rewards vs irl anxiety

never tried out that vault game mode while it was still active for the same reasons

Doing that sheepsquatch questline and not knowing the last part of it would start a highly desired event. I was woefully ill-prepared and overloaded and exited the game as soon as people joined the event and saw me die over and over again, basically losing 2000 caps and all the junk I was carrying

Didn’t realize the Monster Mash event requires players to shoot at each other until after I was murdered, made an angry face at the person just playing the event and murdered them back in retaliation. They left not soon after. I still feel bad about it.

pretending to be AFK when someone is at my camp and I’m there too

waiting for whoever is at my camp to leave before I travel there myself, opening and closing the map obsessively

always making sure the camp’s owner isn’t home when I want to travel to it to buy some stuff

straight up killing the game process so it maybe looks authentic that you got kicked from the server as a response to someone trying to interact with you

checking if your mic is muted over and over because you don’t want people to hear you breathe

someone made a thumbs down emote after this event ended. oh god, I, out of the 7 other people, did something to fuck it up, didn’t I? oh god I’m so sorry, I don’t know fo76 etiquette, I must leave the server immediately

trying to gift a lower level player some stuff but they’re just running around not noticing the paper bag on the ground even though I picked it up and placed it down near them 5 times over, then exit the game because I made a fool out of myself

seeing a higher level player drop a gift and do the come here emote while other people are around, so it can’t possibly be for me, but then the other people are suddenly gone and it’s just us two, and no I’m sure the person it was meant for just didn’t see it, but the other guy is still here with the gift in front of them and we look at each other, and i take a peek at the contents and back up at the speed of light hoping they didn’t see it, and we look at each other some more and I leave the server

letting team invites expire while pretending you didn’t see them

trying to accept a team invite but pressing all the wrong buttons over and over, opening and closing the map/social tab 5 times like an idiot

Having had enough of running around in a team, pretending to experience a game crash, and then fear™ when I start the game back up and I’m still on a team with that person

seriously, how the fuck do you leave a team??

Both you and Gabs sent the same question so I’ll just divide the list X3 I mean, this alone got super long!

Trapper: Hmm, not much of an opinion of him really. I mean, besides that those who play him are sometimes clever because they always know where to place their traps and you surprisingly wouldn’t expect it. For some reason though...I kinda find the character...annoying? I don’t know what it is, I just don’t vibe with Evan.

Wraith: An interesting guy, sad backstory. I have a love-hate relationship with Phillip. Thankfully, I’m really good at seeing his shape so I run off before he can even find me, though the Yamaoka State map makes that a little difficult...

Hillbilly: He! *sobs* I still need to draw a pic of him but this is my adopted son Max. I love him so much and he has such a sad backstory. Like, I would have ripped this poor child away from his rich-snobby parents and raised him like Pamela with Jason uwu Anyways! I love Hillbilly, he’s one of my mains aaah. The chainsaw is a little hard to use but you eventually get the hang of it, sometimes you just need to use it at a short distance and that makes it more effective. Also, I just have to say that I despise when my brother calls him Leatherface. Excuse you, he may have a chainsaw and all but he is so much better than that idiot.

Nurse: Once again, sad backstory or at least from what I remember. I’m not too scared to face her anymore but I still find her so awesome. She’s considered the OP killer which makes sense. I’m actually pretty good at hiding away from the Nurse??? Like I begin a match and hear her scream in the distance, I know better than to fuck around lol

Shape: Mmm, my husband heheh. Of course I just love Michael so much. It’s scary going against him because the entity can’t even freaking control this man lol. Despite having Michael, I still haven’t used him yet and he seems a little hard to use(or at least what I read got me confused af and it’s too much for my ADHD). Love going against him but also terrifies me ‘cause of the Evil Within. The day I got my golden crown...I saw a survivor and kinda approached them before realizing it was Michael lol! He chased me and while I ran I saw the crown! After I outran him for like five seconds I ran back for the crown before getting hooked X3

Hag: So many sad backstories. I’ve only gone against the Hag a few times, she’s basically rare but I’ve survived each one X3 Yeah...I gotta give props to the Hag, I’m not easy to scare but fucking hell one time I was running and activated like four traps in a row, each one spooked me good. She runs really funny if I’m being honest.

Doctor: Ah, the sadistic asshole. I mean this both character and player wise. I’ve only ever played against one cool Doctor because we all died but kinda just laughed about it in the end. Typically Doctor players are just like the character himself. Such campers and farmers. I slightly dislike his ability ‘cause it prevents you from healing sometimes, but thank the entity lockers exist

Huntress: Mmm, sorry to say this but I feel that Huntress is a bit overused. I go against too many when I play and she’s cool but it’s gets a little boring after a while. I used to be afraid of going against her because of the hatchets but I’ve become a master at avoiding them X3 I find her lore really interesting though...why would she just...let little girls die like that...Yeah, that one archive video of her looks AMAZING though, she looks so badass.

Cannibal: I hate the character. I hate the sounds he makes. I have never done it before, but I might just leave a match if I go against a Leatherface. I have faced him before, and I hate him so much that I make sure I win.

Nightmare: I also hate the character. Find his laugh annoying in the game. Hilariously, I have gone against two AFK Freddys. I hate the blood stuff he does, one time caught me by surprise while I fixed a genny because I had no idea he could do such a thing.

The Three Body Problem: Chapter 5

A/N: 16 days til I come home!

Despite the lack of flight course, Poultry Man and the Watcher had several opportunities for flight lessons. The Watcher was the one who came up with the idea to fight phantoms while flying during the phantom hunt. Both Poultry Man and Grian had improved leaps and bounds in their flying ability, although whether it was because of the Watcher’s tutelage or sheer survival instinct was under question.

It was becoming a familiar occurrence for the other hermits - usually the ones who weren’t participating in the contest themselves - to watch Grian battle phantoms in the sky, silhouetted by the moon. If he hadn’t noticed them, they might have heard him talking to himself, and if they had known any better, they would have realised it wasn’t actually Grian doing most of the fighting.

As fun as it may have been for all three of them, Cub was still hundreds of kills ahead, and they did really want to win. Poultry Man suggested using the other hermits to spawn in more phantoms to kill. Grian was all for it, but the Watcher had some hangups.

What if they stop being AFK while me or Poult is in control and realises you aren’t you?

“It’s really unlikely that they’ll stop being AFK before we wake them up, but even if they do, I can just take control again. And if I can’t for some reason, you can do a pretty good impression of me. Heck, if you’re nervous, just hand over control to Poult and they’ll chalk it up to me being silly.”

The Watcher sighed. You’re right, I’m being silly. Alright, let’s go win this contest.

They didn’t win the phantom hunt, but a new opportunity for victory was on the horizon. It started small: a prank here, a sign change there, but it quickly blossomed into a full-blown prank war. More than that - a civil war. They split into teams, unofficially and then officially: Team 1 was Grian, Tango, Iskall, Jevin, Stress, Cleo, and Joe, and Team 2 was Doc, Wels, Impulse, False, Xisuma, and Ren. Team 1 had dubbed themselves the G-Team, Team 2 was still deciding.

The foundations for the G-Team base went up almost overnight. Grian may not have been hunting phantoms any more, but he slept so little he might as well have been. He did have almost an entire base to show for it, thought; it was a beautiful build, mostly made of white concrete and cyan terracotta.

It may not be bedrock, said the Watcher, but white concrete is gorgeous, I’ll give it that.

“Wish it wasn’t so heavy, though,” Grian grunted. He was struggling to fly with so many stacks of it in his inventory.

Fair enough.

guys, can we stop building for a while? i’m bored.

“Maybe we can take a break in a couple hours; I promised Iskall I’d finish this tower.”

ugh. i’m going AFK. wake me up when you decide to stop being boring.

When he finally finished building, it was several days later. He had slept a bit, but only quick naps. He felt a bit bad. Poultry Man had stayed AFK the whole time, and the Watcher had joined him for several short stints when he got bored as well.

Wake up, guys!

Slowly, Poultry Man’s and the Watcher’s presences filled his head.

are you finally done?

Yep! Listen, I know it took way longer than I said it would, and I’m really sorry I made you guys wait for so long. Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?

It honestly wasn’t that bad. You don’t have to do anything for us.

we could throw eggs at someone!

Grian got a brilliant plan. Actually, I think I’ve got a better idea...

Several hours later, they got a message on their communicator from Mumbo. “someone seems to have built a chicken launcher in my snowball bumbo… any idea who it was?” A few seconds later, they got another one: “looks suspiciously like a grian design”

“It wasn’t me, it was the man in the chicken costume!”

I have recently hit 400+ followers, and honestly, that’s fucking amazing? I can’t believe there are so many people who enjoy my content. While I know people normally do ‘follow forevers’ at this point, I’ve decided to do something a little different. Below the cut, I’m going to ramble about a lot of you. to repeat something already said, i loved the dragon bug. that was such an immensely creative idea, and i think it was a great way to open the comic. we get a great way to get not only the impression of what the world is like, but we get to get a great feel for the personalities of the characters.

Yeah!! For the circus - we’re at the point not where we can start unraveling some of the mystery. Throughout the story so far we wanted it to be sorta ambiguous about if that Gemini in the circus was the same one. In the next oncoming scenes you’ll see what’s real and what’s not. But hopefully the way it’s being read is that the readers (y’all) are realizing it might actually be Gem

There's more stories we want to tell after "Barley & Bay-Lily" that all follow continuity, so I want to wrap Barley & Bay-Lily where you all know what's going on but there's more overarching questions than answered in some ways.

QUESTION 2. While searching for a job, Gemini clearly has gotten wrapped up in a dangerous situation involving a circus. What do you think the circus’ goal is in general for the people it entraps? Who exactly are the fox ringmasters running the show? Why was Gemini in particular targeted as opposed to other people in the audience? Why did Gemini seemingly come home in a trance, and what do you think it means for whatever is happening to Gemini? How do you feel the performer who represents Gemini’s ideals fits into all of this? Do Gemini’s anxieties have something to do with all this do you think? Lastly, how do you think Gemini will get out of this mess (or is she just doomed)?

Q2: The specific part I havenb't already kinda answered is: I feel she is part of Gemini's subconciousness in the sense of having her "act" together. I guess now that we're getting more shows like "Aggretsuko" I'd say we'd like to hit around that target. Gemini ran into Veil lost puppy style, trufax. Brought her in from the rain and cold Veil's personality is probably tied to sorta trying to guide Gemini in the sense of law and order. Everything has a place, so you gotta do it- where you going coME BACK OMG I AM TRYING TO HELP YOU. I do believe here is going to be some strife at some point because Gemini has shown a lack of communication and emotional skill and Veil has shown a lack of willingness to bend. BUT I do believe this will clear up after some resolution from some juicy content So yes I believe they'll stay friends.

I gotta be honest when we made the decision to do it this way - we were so conflicted. We wanted to do this format becuase we envisioned it with simple panels and @saetje really works hard to make things look cinematic

yeah! Tenor, we always wanted it to be REALLY mobile friendly. Like my ideal is to just let the panels fill a mobile screen and swipe to read. We just....aren't really programmers so we haven't figured that out so much yet XD BUT- I'm really happy to hear the one-panel tapping is easy on wrists! I've heard other people call us 'accessible' for that and that was an uninentional side effect but I'm happy to hear it.

QUESTION 4. Although the world has present-day elements, there are also a slew of magical things. What aspect of the world intrigued you the most and why? Are there tidbits mentioned that you’d love to know more about in the future? Alternatively, is there any magical related creature or being that you’re hoping to see make an appearance in the comic? In regards to actual story canon, do you feel Gemini is familiar with this magical world or that she still has a lot to learn? In what ways do you think magical elements might come into play and make trouble for Gemini? Regardless of magic, what sorts of other conflicts are you hoping to see/do you think we’ll see, especially in regards to Gemini learning to be an adult?

WELL, here's something I think I can give away that hasn't exactly been pointed out a lot of times in our story yet (we are getting to it): there aren't any humans in the GJ universe (http://geminijourney.com/index.php?c=74) so a concept of a werewolf to them would really be a "werehuman", haha. But there are other wolfed-figured beings like Wulvers from Irish myth.(edited)

oh that's a really good question Tenor!

Originally, for like the last two years we've had almost a 6 mo queue, because also only update bi-weekly. But we recently ran out of that queue because LIFE and freelance hit us hard XDD so we've been trying to catch up somewhat successfully. As far as page-speed creation, I think it can vary widely but both @Jess and I have gotten a lot faster than we used to be. When we're really able to focus after-work hours (no life and freelance jams getting too much in the way) we can do about 4-6 panels in a single week, about 10-20 hours between us

The thing is though, one of the draw-backs of single panel shots is you DO have to show a lot more, I think, than just a page-layout comic.

like, if we took those panels and made them into a page layout we would get away with showing less, I think, and possibly saving some time? But it's hard to gauge because also there's panel layout and flow and page composition to consider that we don;t have to worry as much about

Yeah I was gonna say the same thing. Actually the full panels largest drawback is that you have to draw sooooo much. In a comic with many panels you could cut to a talking head suddenly - in ours, because of the layout we have to be very careful not to take them out of context too quickly and too frequently

That's a good point. It's such an interesting thing o consider because - I guess the easiest way I can describe it is like the illustrations in children's books. They can be just so world building and easter-eggy so it's interesting to consider the differences!

So it’s a mixed bag. On one hand you are making only one image at a time. Sometimes even usi a lot of the same assets. But on the other - it’s a full color illustration and having to show minute changes in expression to keep the pace from seeming too quick can be a challenge too

or if the pacing reads too slow too- panel comics (or comics made by animators in general) can also be too slow b/c us animators LOVE showing those minute pose/expression changes, which can sometimes read slow. I'm always stressed about the pace, ha.

@Jess and I always imagined the comic a digital-first production, but if we were to go to print it'd likely be something along the lines of what Ava's Demon did. Just, single panels-per-page. But @Jess being the graphic designer who often works in print too might have some other ideas on that

So when creating one of the things we did as a priority is consider the mobile screen first. Which is the opposite of what is the norm. If we were to do a book it would be handled where we put a very limited amount of images on a page. Maybe 1-2 similar to Ava’s demon

Yeah, the drawback of single-paged stuff is exactly that. Focusing more on some things, like a character going through emotions can read more slowly even tho it's important to the story
