Fun Fact
BuzzFeed published a report claiming that Tumblr was utilized as a distribution channel for Russian agents to influence American voting habits during the 2016 presidential election in Feb 2018.
This is an electronic/hip-hop track that Drake did with Sampha, which reflects on his changing relationships with the people around him. In the beginning Drake sings, "It's not me and you, it's not me it's you/You're reckless and you know it, they don't love you like I do." This is Drake flipping the saying "it's not you it's me". He flips this to say that (the woman in question) is the problem, not him. But no matter how reckless she is, no one will ever love her like he does. The theme for this song is things just "being the motion"; sort of like saying "that's just the way things go." In his first verse, Drake bemoans being used for favors by people in the industry, and speaks on his clothing, as well as his friend Chubbs as a way of saying that as he rises in fame — he's still the same Aubrey he's always been. In the chorus he sings, "Then that phone doesn't ring/When they got everything, that's the motion." Obviously resenting the way people use him for their own gain.
Verse two is focused on Drake's issue with women and love. He raps, "looking back on it, at least my pride is intact/'Cause we said "no strings attached" and I still got tied up in that/Everything that I write is either for her or about her/So I'm with her even when I'm here without her and she know it." These lines address the key flaw in Nicki and Drake's relationship. The "no strings attached" bit can be applied to any woman Drake has had that kind of relationship with, but the following lines after that part, really only lead you in one direction. Drake is talking about a woman he feels a great deal of passion for. So much so, that damn near every love song he writes is "for her". When considering this, Nicki becomes the obvious choice.
Instead of sex, you can think of the "no strings attached" line as a way of talking about their flirty relationship. There are lines they don't cross with each other, but even still, Drake still can't help but get caught up in her. And even when she's not with him, he still holds on to the memories of them together. The real haunting lines come from the top of the second chorus: "She'll probably come around/Soon as I settle down, that's the motion." Drake feels defeated in the thought that Nicki will only realize her feelings for him, if he ever decides to move on from her. He says this almost bitterly, as if he could see this actually happening.
If we really think about it, this all started with megan dropping Hiss. Hiss was never a Nicki diss, it was a drake/those who've been capping for Mr. Peterson diss first and foremost. Nicki made it about her The only line that could have gone to nicki was the Megan's line bar and she showed her whole ass on that one, but every other bar applied to drake , who'd been dissing megan for years and going up for Tory once he found out he shot her.
Like all of these are about Drake, especially the bbl and cosplay gangster stuff. She was the first person to wack drake for his botched body and his allegiance to the corny culture vulture community. You notice how every other diss to drake has been mentioning what megan said in hiss? She really threw the first diss at drakewall like please give her her flowers
Bruce posts this to his twitter with the caption "So proud of Gotham to be an accepting and inviting place where me and my family are free to be ourselves ❤️❤️❤️"
