I think the thing I really love about Desert Duo is the warmth between them.

The way they banter and poke and prod at each other but always with an undercurrent of fondness. Scar teases about Grian's secret soulmate, Grian huffs that his heart is for someone special, Scar whispers with Pearl about ideas to mess with their soulmates, Grian mutters about leaving the desert all season. They both stay. They both giggle together and quickly drop any faux hurt.

The way they play each other. Scar coaxes Grian into doing work for him, Grian snatches a life away from Scar, Scar practically robs Grian blind through 'fair trade', Scar stabs Grian in the back in Thirdlife, Grian stabs Scar in the back in Limited Life. It's all in good fun. They sigh and roll their eyes and smile.

The way they gravitate towards each other. Easily partnering in Thirdlife, dancing around an alliance in both Last Life and Limited Life, being paired by the universe in Double Life, trying to reach for each other only to be torn apart by the universe in Secret Life. They meld easily together, like whispered plans and a presence beside each other is the most natural thing in the world.

The way they understand each other. "You and me, we know monopolies" Scar says, and Grian smiles. "Why DON'T you come along with me?" Grian giggles, and Scar can breathe for the first time all session.

Snowflake Proposal

Two halfas met in winter and after an eventful day full of snowballs and laughs Jason offers Danny a snowflake, not realizing that this action was a promise of a future engagement for ice core ghosts.

Since Jason had a fire core, he was taught by the other fire core ghosts when he discovered he was a halfa; the traditions of other types of ghosts completely ignored.

He learned important things for the fire cores like: how romantic the bonfires were, saying I love you through food among other things. Fire cores used to value survival and effort above all else.

However, Jason had no idea about the others ghosts; according to him, Danny had started flirting first (Danny didn't know he was, since he only knew the traditions of ice core ghosts)

It was common in the Realms to investigate your potential partner's traditions if they didn't have the same core. Something most ghosts knew about, of course, this didn't include halfas.

So, Danny has no idea how to respond to this proposal...

Screaming into the void about Nightwing and Huntress. They’re two of the most wholly, almost religiously, dedicated people to the cause. One is ostracized for her methods and is often alone, the other is trusted and beloved by nearly the entire vigilante/hero community (and by Bruce). Still, they are both lonely. Neither of them have faith in the other. Neither of them will change their core beliefs. They can’t talk for long without arguing. Batman hangs around both their necks like a rosary or a chain or an omen. They clash and bicker exhaustively. They care so much it’s painful. It isn’t enough. They’re drawn to one another and it means something but it doesn’t matter because they will each always be more devoted to something the other is not fully privy too. They know this. They know this in the same way they know they can look each other in the face, orphan to orphan, and find the same steely resolve reflected there. It isn’t enough.

They’re buddies though.

What I'm getting from the Eddie/Steve VS Eddie/Chrissy argument currently happening in the ST fandom is that the Duffer brothers are either dumb, not detail oriented writers, or really bad at communicating/remembering to communicate character ages to actors because apparently, the Stranger Things Wiki states that Chrissy is 17 and Eddie is 19-20 which would make Eddie/Chrissy illegal, but Chrissy's actress, Grace says that she's already 18 and Eddie's missing poster clearly says 17, which would make both Eddie/Chrissy AND Eddie/Steve (20, according to the Wiki) illegal if Eddie and Steve's Wikis and Grace's statement are accurate.

Can the Duffers please, like, get their fucking shit together, come to an understanding with their actors, and everyone tell us that Chrissy's 18, Eddie's 19, Steve's 20 and everyone is legal and consenting, please? I'm trying to have fun in my alive AU bubble here and it's hard to do that with this situation happening.
