New Video: Pissed Jeans Shares Anthemic Ripper "Moving On" @ThePissedJeans @subpop @subpoplicity @fdnieto @JoeStakun
Over the course of their 20-year history together, Allentown, PA-based punks Pissed Jeans — Matt Korvette (vocals), Brad Fry (guitar), Randy Huth (bass) and Sean McGuinness (drums) — has never been known to go halfway: They’ve long been known for material that pairs feral vocals and acerbic, biting lyrics with buzzsaw guitars — and for their unhinged live show. The Allentown-based punks’…

Takes ur hand OMG I love KH3 ;o; So many people seem to dislike it but HNGH. The theeeeeemes.
exactlyyyyyyyy. it also just has the BEST worlds. it has the best worlds. no competition. like worlds from other games are all arendelle tier mostly. but you have shit like the kingdom of corona or the carribean - fucking fantastic. i don't like how toy box plays structurally but the sheer DETAIL of it. stunning.
i'm also a big fan of the finale! the cinematography of the ultimate xehanort vs sora showdown is fantastic. the final world sequence is so eery, and i adore it. when donald and goofy used the controller's speakers to call out to sora during the fake-out game over screen - mwah.
the main gameplay complaint i'd agree with is that the boss pacing is incredibly back-loaded and there's too many big climactic fights back to back to back so the front half feels slow paced by comparison
honestly the story did as well as it could've by trying to wrap up as many plot points as it could. yes, none of them got true in depth focus, but kh3 isn't the end of the series. it manages to establish a new status quo for the characters and their relationships that can be further built upon in the future of the series. kh3 was hyped up as the culmination of the series for so long that when it ends up being just another part of the story instead of the conclusion to EVERYTHING, as people had hoped, they inevitably end up disappointed.
also the fucking. ux tie-ins. the way dark road stuff must've already been finalized for the insane fucking parallels. mobile game girlies going ballistic when thinking abt kh3 a little too hard a litte too long
tldr you guys are just mean

A Note On... Moving Like Jack
Tumblr media
Jack Move is a turn-based RPG by So Romantic! Fight evil corporations in this post-apocalyptic cyber-future.
Okay, so the game is actually kind of disappointing. I played the demo of the game maybe two or three years ago. It featured the little opening/tutorial section of the game which I think is pretty cool. But unfortunately, aside from the story, I don't think the main game has all that much more to offer.
The gameplay, as far as RPGs go, is pretty standard. Elements that target each other like rock-paper-scissors. A dynamic turn system that you can see. Caching provided an interesting bout for the longer fights. Can't really go wrong here.
Though, I am disappointed by the Jack Moves (the player's ultimate skills). They tried to add a sort of timing aspect to them, pressing three arrows in a pattern. But they're too easy and alike and there's only four of them (one for each element and then a physical one). I'd have liked to see them go all in and add it to all the skills or maybe make the Jack Move timing harder by randomizing the patterns.
And also the last boss is so long! Why was it so long??
The writing, as with most games, feels a little cringe. But I think it's a super cool aspect of the game, if you're like me and talk to every single NPC in every point of the game. Side note, the fact that the prompt icon changes once you've talked to an NPC is a godsend and should be mandatory in all games.
But seriously, the dialogue is really consistent with its slang. I think the writers did a really good job creating a diverse cast of side characters because I actually liked reading what new thing they'd say.
The main story is solid, though playing on tropes that I've seen before. Lastly, the ending still has some loose-ends, which I don't know if it was purposeful or not.
The art is pretty solid! The main character on the steam banner kinda doesn't match what you see in the game, but I'll ignore that.
Jack Move is a cool little experience, but not something to yearn for.
As always,
Enjoy gaming!

I was with my brother and the topic of super long video essays came up specifically Jenny Nicholson's 4 hour Star Wars hotel video and Quinton Reviews iCarly and Victorious videoes and he was complaining about going off on tangents and making their videos overly long because they won't shut up and I'm starting to think I'm the only child who got the family autism™
