pinned post/FAQ
TRANS RIGHTS!! TERFS GET THE FUCK OFF MY BLOG!!!!!!!
we have a source of income again, but if you like my work, donations are always appreciated!
who are you?
i'm just a guy who likes spore [2008]
why do this?
i just really like spore and making creatures in spore. it helps me practice my creature creation abilities.
can you make my oc in spore?
as of right now i do not take requests. i generally find characters and creatures i want to make by them appearing on my dashboard. refer to the Request Beast.
what is in your icon?
captain thunderhide, my main spore space stage captain.
what is peeling?
peeling is when i remove all detail parts from a creature and show the bare sculpt underneath - anything that is not eyes, mouth, hands, feet, or limbs will be removed. it is a tradition around these parts
what are "original spores"?
original spores are spore creations that aren't based on existing media - ocs, copyrighted characters, or otherwise. usually, they're just making things to make them in spore, or are based on simple prompts such as "a plate of spaghetti" or "a penis".
do you use mods?
i exclusively play this game with mods.
can i download the creatures you make?
only if the original creator of the design is okay with it and requests a png. please note that in order to successfully download the creatures, you will need to download every mod used to create them.
i will not always be able to say what mods i use to make something, so it's a gamble if you don't have all of the ones i use.
how do i mod spore/do advanced creature creation like you?
darkedgetv's FAQ is a very good resource to begin. i started there, and it's where i recommend you to start if you're interested in spore modding. it also contains many other mods i have not listed under the cut.
as much as i disagree with the process of using a discord server to contain vital information and resources, the davoonline spore modding community discord is also a good source of resources and mods that even i do not use.
have you heard of [in-development indie sporelike]?
yes. i have heard of all of them.
i hold no interest in any of the currently in development indie "sporelikes". i believe they are trying to reinvent the wheel and overall they do not interest me.
are there any other blogs like yours?
there's a few and ever growing! i refer to this as the ecosystem or the making-you ecosystem.
i have a masterpost of all known individuals in this ecosystem here.
what editor mods do you use?
a lot, so they'll be under the cut.
not mods, but highly recommended for enhanced playing experience
4GB patch - Tutorial - patches spore [and other 32bit programs] to be able to use 4gb of RAM. recommended if playing a highly modded copy, and makes the game more stable.
Reshade & ReSpore - post-processing injector & shader that alters the appearance of spore, giving it more detailed shading and vibrant colors. i use this for gameplay and screenshots. runs on GPU power, so excellent if you have a strong graphics card
HD graphics fix - this doesn't actually seem to work for my copy, but it alters the textures of base spore to be more high-quality.
mods that are absolute must-haves
these mods are ones that i use in almost every creation, and add a lot of QoL to the editors. if i forget a mod in a creature png i post, it will be one of these.
Dark injection - THE spore mod. it's likely a lot of other mods you'll download will mesh well with dark injection. you can turn off whatever you don't want to use through the installer.
Universal Property Enhancer - a library mod that many other mods require
The Smoother - a useful tool for building muscles and smoothing out your creatures' bodies
Enhanced Color Picker - a requirement for super detailed creations, enables hexcode color picking and color wheel selection beyond normal limits of spore
[UPE] Infinite Part Scaling - allows scaling of parts near-infinitely, beyond the limits of the original game
Project Skyncraft - adds new creature skinpaints
Unshackled - adds nodes and limbs for creating custom wings, heads, hands, etc. a little bit unstable, i mostly use this for wings.
Spore Stacker - allows stacking of any part
Subtle Rotations - reduces part rotation snapping
Advanced CE - adds building editor manipulators to the creature editor
Every Part Costs Nothing - self explanatory
Rotate Anything - lets you rotate anything, including feet and hands
Advanced Creature Paint - allows for individual coloring of parts on a creature, like in the building and vehicle editors
Ambient Occlusion Disabler - removes baked-on shadows for creatures
Delta Paints - adds new skinpaints
Valla's Skinpaint Switcheroo - adds duplicates of all vanilla, C&C, and GA creature coat and detail skinpaints into their opposite category
Valla's Vanilla Style Parts - adds several parts which mimic the vanilla style
Delimbiter - increases the amount you can scale limb parts, and allows for more crazy movements of certain limb parts
test drive related mods
these mods are not required to download the creatures i post, but are recommended for the test drive.
No More Creature Editor Animations - turns off the animations that play when you add eyes, mouth, feet/hands, etc
Sevan's TF2 editor animations - adds multiple animations from tf2 into the creature test drive.
Mx3's Dance Animations - adds a multitude of dance animations into the creature test drive.
Tenebris's Creature Test Drive Animations - adds many animations from within the game to the creature test drive.
EditorBG - adds extra editor backgrounds
Ramone Kemono's MMD Drag Ball - high-effort dance mod complete with special effects and a reverse engineered camera system
part mods
these mods add parts to the editors.
DroneParts 2017 - adds many mechanical and polygonal parts useful for machine creatures, i like to use it for building clothes and markings.
New Drone Parts - a sequel to droneparts 2017, compatible with the old version. install both at the same time if you want to be able to use creatures from the old droneparts mod.
Himeric Engine - adds horror-themed parts to the creature editor.
Spore Resurrection Next Steps - adds a few parts to the creature editor and several new textures to the building and vehicle editors.
Dinosaur Parts - adds parts based on dinosaurs and other animals. mostly heads.
Strange And Beautiful - a now-discontinued, reuploaded mod that adds unusual and unique parts to the creature editor
Bionicle parts - adds a few bionicle pieces to the creature editor
Little Box Of Horrors - adds many parts with an overall horror theme. some are animated.
Pandora's Toolbox [1.0] - adds a multitude of basic shapes and polygons to build with
Replicant - adds non-textured animating parts and non-animating parts in a separate tab. good for if you want to use hands, limbs, etc without them animating or adding stats
Armoured And Dangerous - adds a few high detail mechanical looking parts.
Wordsmith 2.1 - adds letters to the creature, building, and vehicle editors
Kaiju parts - adds several parts based on popular kaiju
Organic Help - adds many membrane pieces to the creature editor, for creating wing webbing among other things
Project: Mad Mannequins - adds many human body based parts. and a horse for some reason
A Mouth For All Seasons - adds alternate versions of all vanilla mouths [and all unused cell mouths] with alternate diets
Valla's Captain Badges - adds all space badge models into the captain outfitter and creature editor
Rock On! - adds rock props from spore into the building and creature editors
Anime Parts - adds a couple anime human heads and anime hairs

Will you please write a paul mescal x reader where he's your college prof and you're doing him some 'favours😏' bc youre failing his class 👀
Office Hours After Dark
PAIRING:Paul Mescal x reader
WORD COUNT: 1589 | requests are open (send requests, I will gladly answer them all)
Paul Mescal Masterlis
A/n:I'm sorry I haven't been active in the last week, school kept me busy, now I have more free time and I will respond to all your requests.
You never imagined that failing Professor Mescal’s advanced literature course would lead you down a path of such delicious, dangerous temptation. You had always been an excellent student—until your grades began to slip. With your final exam looming and your academic future in jeopardy, you found yourself desperate for any way to redeem your standing. That’s when you noticed the unmistakable glint in Paul’s eyes, a silent promise of something beyond the dry pages of Shakespeare and Keats.
You remember the moment clearly: after class one rainy Thursday afternoon, as the rest of your peers hurried out to escape the downpour, you lingered behind. The door clicked shut and the lights dimmed. There, alone in the quiet lecture hall, Professor Mescal’s deep voice broke the silence.
“Are you having trouble keeping up, love?” he asked, his tone laced with concern and something else—an unspoken desire. You swallowed hard, your heart pounding in your ears.
“I…I’m trying my best, Professor,” you replied, your voice trembling just slightly. “I’m afraid I might not make the grade.”
His dark eyes softened as he stepped closer, his presence intoxicating. “Maybe we can arrange…extra lessons,” he murmured, his hand reaching out to gently brush a stray lock of hair from your face. The touch sent shivers cascading down your spine, igniting an ember of defiance against the academic world that had let you down.
That night, in a secluded study room of the old campus library, you met him again. The air was thick with anticipation, the room lit by the soft glow of a single desk lamp. Paul’s voice was low and persuasive as he explained the “extra lessons” that would help salvage your failing grade.
“Sometimes,” he said, his tone dropping to a sultry whisper, “a little extra credit isn’t found in textbooks.” His eyes searched yours, daring you to see the invitation within them.
Before you could protest, he leaned in. “I know you’re desperate,” he murmured, his breath warm against your ear. “And I’m more than happy to help…if you’re willing to return the favor.”
The promise of secrecy, of a forbidden liaison, hung heavy in the charged silence. You nodded, heart racing with a cocktail of fear and excitement. “Yes, Professor,” you replied softly. “I—I need your help.”
Paul’s lips curved into a knowing smile. “Then let’s begin our…private tutorial,” he whispered. With a final, lingering look, he led you out of the study room and into the shadowed corridors of the university.
In his secluded, dimly lit office—books and papers scattered in disarray—Paul closed the door behind you. The atmosphere was almost academic, yet the energy between you crackled with anticipation. You felt both nervous and eager, knowing that tonight, the classroom lessons would be replaced by something far more visceral.
“Sit,” he commanded softly, gesturing to a leather armchair across from his desk. You complied, your eyes locked on his as he began to unbutton his crisp white shirt. Each movement was deliberate, as if every inch of fabric removed was another layer of formality peeling away.
“Good…very good,” he murmured approvingly, his fingers trailing lightly along your arm. His tone shifted, laced with a confidence that made your pulse quicken. “You know, I’ve been thinking about you ever since you raised your hand in class. There’s something about the way you look at me, the way you…need to understand,” he said, pausing as his eyes roamed over you. “It’s almost as if you’re craving a deeper lesson.”
You swallowed, your voice barely audible. “I…I want to learn…everything.”
A spark of amusement danced in his eyes as he rose from behind his desk. “Then let’s begin with a demonstration,” he said, stepping closer until you could feel the heat radiating from his body. His hands found the hem of your blouse, and before you could react, they were slowly, deliberately tugging it upward.
The fabric slipped off your shoulders, pooling at your feet. “I must confess,” Paul whispered, his lips brushing against your ear, “there’s more to education than just reading.” His hands roamed over your bare skin with confident precision, eliciting soft, involuntary moans. Every touch was a lesson in desire, each caress an exploration of boundaries you’d only dared to fantasize about.
Before long, the space between you and the professor narrowed into nothingness. Your eyes met as he reached out, cupping your chin with a tenderness that belied the intensity of the moment. “Do you trust me?” he asked, his voice a low rumble that vibrated through the air.
“Yes,” you whispered, your voice trembling with anticipation and a trace of apprehension.
With that word, he closed the gap, capturing your lips in a heated, all-consuming kiss. It was a kiss that spoke of forbidden pleasure and academic redemption, of lessons learned beyond the pages of any textbook. His tongue traced patterns along your lips, exploring and claiming, as if imprinting the memory of this moment in both of your minds.
In the intimate glow of his office, time seemed to slow. You were no longer just a failing student; you were a willing apprentice in the art of seduction. As his hands trailed down your back, unfastening the tie that symbolized the rigid authority of academia, you felt every inhibition dissolve.
Paul’s voice broke through the haze of sensation. “Tonight, I’m not just your professor,” he murmured against your skin. “I’m your guide in pleasure. I’m going to show you that sometimes, the most valuable lessons are those that we learn with our bodies.”
He led you over to his desk, where the cool surface became an unlikely altar to your newfound desires. With every movement, every whispered command, you felt the boundaries of teacher and student blur into something raw, passionate, and undeniably real. You explored each other’s bodies with a hunger that was both desperate and determined, as if each touch could rewrite the narrative of your academic failure into one of triumph.
As the night deepened, so did the intensity of your encounter. Paul’s hands, firm yet gentle, guided you through a maze of pleasure and exploration. His touch was both instructional and indulgent, a combination that left you breathless and yearning for more. Soft moans mingled with hushed whispers of encouragement as you both surrendered to the moment.
“I need you,” you admitted, your voice a tremulous confession as you reached out to him, your fingers tracing the line of his jaw. “I need you to teach me everything.”
Paul’s eyes burned with a mix of desire and unyielding authority. “Then learn well,” he replied, his tone commanding yet tender. “Tonight, every sensation, every whisper of pleasure, is your lesson. And I promise you, my dear, it’s one you won’t ever forget.”
The exchange of dialogue was punctuated by the rhythmic sounds of your mingled breaths, the soft rustle of fabric as it was shed, and the occasional exclamation of pleasure that filled the space. In a crescendo of passion, your inhibitions gave way completely, and you found yourself lost in the overwhelming tide of desire that Paul evoked with every touch.
Your bodies moved in a delicate dance of exploration—a silent, wordless conversation where every gesture spoke volumes. His every caress was an assertion of control, yet your responses were bold and unyielding, a testament to your own burgeoning confidence and need. As the intensity built, so did the fervor of your exchange, until it reached a fever pitch.
“Tell me,” he whispered in between deep, resonant kisses, “what do you want most from me?”
Your answer was instinctual, raw, and honest: “I want you—completely.”
In that moment, any semblance of formality evaporated. The academic veneer was replaced by an unbridled passion, an explosion of sensations that left you both trembling and sated. The room bore witness to the merging of two worlds: the structured discipline of academia and the wild, uncharted territory of desire.
Hours later, as dawn peeked through the window blinds, the air was heavy with the remnants of your passionate encounter. You lay beside him on the desk, your skin still tingling from the night’s lessons. His hand rested lightly on your arm, a silent promise that what you had experienced was more than just an act of desperation—it was a transformative journey.
Paul’s eyes met yours with a soft intensity. “Remember this,” he said gently, “every lesson we learn in life comes with its own price. Tonight, you paid yours, and I hope you’ve learned something worth more than any grade.”
You smiled, the lingering heat of the night still warming your skin. “I’ve learned that sometimes, the most valuable lessons aren’t taught in a classroom,” you replied, your voice imbued with a newfound confidence.
The morning light found you both changed, your secret shared between whispered promises and the lingering scent of desire. As you dressed in the quiet aftermath, a part of you knew that nothing would ever be the same—not your grades, not your perceptions, and certainly not the lessons you learned that unforgettable night.
In the coming days, every lecture, every textbook passage, carried the echoes of that secret lesson. You no longer felt like a failing student, but rather someone who had dared to reclaim control over your narrative, even if it meant venturing into the dangerous territory of forbidden pleasure. And as you sat in class, the memory of that night with Paul Mescal—your professor, your guide in desire—remained an indelible imprint on your soul, a private reminder that sometimes, learning comes from the most unexpected places.

A disgruntled Tumblrina (gender-neutral) made a website and why you should too.
Or "reject social media, return to personal websites".
PART 1: THE PART WHERE I CONVINCE YOU TO MOVE TO PERSONAL WEBSITES
So, the Web 2.0 social media infested landscape seems to be crumbling before our very eyes. Reddit's leadership is increasingly greedy, Twitter is sinking under the weight of Elon's massive, yet increasingly fragile ego, Tumblr is slowly turning into another lifeless corpo-fest, complete with the layout, Instagram continues to be vapid and soulless and Facebook seems to be going the way of MySpace.
(feel free to check the alt text on these, btw)
In these troubling times, where everything looks the same and you're expected to be milked for every dollar you're worth, what is a disgruntled Internet surfer such as yourself to do? Move to an untested alternative that's bound to get overrun by fascists thanks to poor moderation? Stay the course on the sinking ships you're used to?
Well, what if I told you that we've solved this problem way back in the 90's and early 2000's and were merely duped by the Big Zuck into forgetting our legacy? What if there was a cure for the sanitized, dull social media hellscape?
It takes a bit of work, when compared to just using a social media site, but even if your particular use case makes switching difficult (ex. an artist looking to promote their work), it's still a good secondary option to consider.
The core appeal is the ability to customize and individualize, make a corner of cyberspace unabashedly yours,
It can also be an exciting avenue of creative expression, giving whatever you want to say a unique coat of paint,
Most website hosting services are a bit more lax about what you can do on them, due to changes in the profit structure (rather than depending on advertisers and investors, they either have a premium option to give supporters perks, have another product, or, in the case of paid services, you renting that space IS the product),
If you want your website to be more accomodating and accessible, you don't have to file tons of feedback - do it yourself,
If you'd like to connect with other webmasters and promote each other's websites, we have webrings - sets of circular links that connect websites with something in common, be it a topic, aesthetic or friend group,
You're less likely to have your stuff purged by an ill-advised change in policy (especially if you have a backup of your files somewhere),
The more people do it, the less power those massive social media corpos have over the internet,
It can be a load of fun!
If I have you convinced, keep reading into part 2. If you just wanna see what I did, skip to part 3. If neither, feel free to continue scrolling. I won't hold it against you. You'll be missing out, that's all.
PART 2: SO, YOU WANNA MAKE A WEBSITE!
Good choice, here's some resources!
sadgrl's absolute beginner's guide to Neocities - what it says on the tin!
W3Schools - a more in-depth tutorial site, a learning resource so excellent it substituted for what I was supposed to learn in technical highschool (because our teacher just told us to go on W3Schools instead of teaching us shit)
A list of free layouts for your website - whether to use as a base to learn from or to simply take for yourself,
Neocities - the posterchild for free website hosting for personal websites. Doesn't allow video or audio, but you can get around that by linking those files from elsewhere. Beginner-friendly to a fault - once you have an account just drag and drop your files in,
Gitlab (& Gitlab Pages) - a more advanced option, but it has a few advantages of its own. Gitlab is a website hoster second and a version control service first - which is programmer speak for "keeps track of changes in your code and stores a backup of it online". it helps a lot when working on multiple devices or co-writing with a friend. And secondly, you can use Gitlab Actions to automate putting your website up (even on Neocities, like I do!)
My askbox - I am not joking, if you have any questions about any of this, I'd love nothing more than to help you out!
But with most of my indie web propaganda out of the way, it's time.
PART 3: Welcome to Timewatcher OS.
Of course, because I couldn't be normal when it comes to making a website, I had to turn it into a fake operating system. Each subpage is an "app", opened in a separate embed window. It has unlockable wallpapers (no pay2win, prommy). There's bideo games on it! I even made a music player for it so I can share my incongruent music tastes!
Like I said in my Tumblr bio, if I ever go radio silent for more than a month, it means I've gotten fed up with this hellsite and moved to my own homepage permamently. And I highly advise you make an option like this for yourself too! Lastly, if any of y'all would like to start a webring, do let me know in the askbox - I'm down to manage it if I'm not alone in there.
Anyways, I hope I convinced you to make a website, or at least check out some of the cool sites you've been missing out on! Hope to see you on the Old Web!

Miguel O'Hara Parenthood Headcanons
Fluff, post pregnancy, girl dad, I refer to the child as 'princess'
I have more Headcanons planned. I'm thinking of 'how you told Miguel you're pregnant' and 'how he'd introduce princess to all the spider man stuff'.
Miguel felt more than ready to be a parent. Though still a bit nervous, he was eager and happy.
Your relationship had been going well, so a third addition to your family was more than welcome.
He was one of the first people, other than the doctors, to hold your new born child.
The nurses asked him if he'd like them to show him how to diaper a child. Oh no, don't worry, your new child couldn't be in better hands. Plus, he's watched a handful of tutorials months in advance, he knows what he's doing.
Throughout your relationship, Miguel has been an excellent cook. And when the baby could eat, he's turning up the heat, because he's got two girls to feed. Your baby would be eating the most 5 star baby purées there are.
By the time your baby could eat more solid food, he's made her into a spoiled princess.
He loves spending time with his little princess, and he will cancel anything with anyone that would come between his time with her.
He has hundreds upon thousands of pictures of her on his phone. He also keeps a picture of you and her in his wallet, you're both his lucky charm and the most important people.
He'd do all the silly things with his daughter, if it meant she'd be happy. Dressing daddy up? No problem. Makeup? Doesn't he just look so pretty?
He'll also learn dance routines with his daughter to show you. And watches all the princess movies.
He has always treated you like his queen, so when his Princesa asked who his favourite Disney couple is, he'd nominate you and himself.
He could spend hours looking at the two of you.
His favourite thing is when all of you would nap/sleep together. Having his family so close to him is the most important thing.
Your child is also spoiled to her core. Not a brat. But still spoiled. Thanks to her dad. (We can't stay mad at him tho.)
He's also super overprotective. When he sees another child being mean to her at the playground, you'd have to remind him to talk to the parents, and not go berate another child.
He's got so much to teach her. He keeps her away from all the spider man stuff, as of now, but nonetheless, there's so much he can't wait to show her.

Hi, I mostly follow you for your tbhk content, but was meaning to ask what is your favourite version/which version do you recommend of les miserables(the musical)? I'm quite a new fan of musicals and I've always wanted to see it, but didn't know which slime tutorial of them. Ofc there are differences, but idk how important and I guess I trust your tastes if you'd like to share your favourite version (if you even have one). Ty in advance
OMG my first Les Mis ask ahhhhh yay!!!!
Unfortunately I’ve never watched any slime tutorials for Les Mis so my advice here probably won’t be that helpful. I saw it live when they were touring in 2019 and the cast was incredible but I haven’t been able to find a bootleg for that version. I have listened to multiple versions of the soundtrack and the OBC remains my favorite bcuz I’m basic. There was a really cool French version of it tho, you should be able to find it on YouTube just by searching up “Les Mis in French.” And I know there’s a slime tutorial with Ramin Karimloo, he’s one of my favorite Broadway actors so I’m sure that will be good. I think it’s the version where he plays Valjean, he was Enjolras at one point too
The 10th Anniversary Concert is famous in the fandom so I have to recommend that as well, it’s got an excellent cast and some of my favorite performances although I’ve never watched it in full (she said about the musical that changed her life). I hope this was of some help to you, sorry I couldn’t give more specific suggestions!!

Making-You-In-Spore's Editor Mod List
not mods, but highly recommended for enhanced playing experience
