WIP Wthursday WOOOOO!!

i've been so busy with school which, at the very least, means i have lots of wips! it also means i don't have time to finish anything but shhhh

today i have for youuu... gasp. writing??? that's right. Pre-Heartbreak Chargestep Fic In Progress. it was meant to be a short little snippet and instead i've written just under 3000 words before getting to the goddamn point. so enjoy a little slice of that!

and just for fun have some sketches as well :3 some completely unrelated ripley/ricardo chargestep art, aaaand Lilith and Quinn, who are Judas' and Al's puppets that are totally just girlbestfriends... mhm nothing more going on there (Lilith/Judas belongs to @b33tlejules :3)

its burning hot and boiling and sterile and makes your whole body clean. it leaves you with burn marks and red skin and wanting for more. its addictive and it’s painful and it’s true. it hurts but it’s nice, it’s difficult to find and even harder to keep. it’s a lie, but it’s comforting.

safety is cold

it’s a gentle breeze on a hot day, a cool touch to remind you that you’re here and alive in this moment. it’s your breath on a winter day, fresh air filling your lungs and reminding you how lucky you are to be alive. it’s calming and it’s grounding and it’s freedom.

fear is warm

it’s sickeningly sweet, and it’s far too close. it’s hot air on your breath, it makes you want to vomit. it’s hands all over your skin, burning you up without leaving marks. it’s hot tears running down your face, sticky and sweaty and painful. it’s something you can never be free from no matter how hard you scrub.

fear is cold

it’s the dark feeling in your gut, that feeling of exposure that you can’t get out of your mind. it’s bitter and it hurts and it’s numbing. it’s the truth that hurts in all the wrong ways. it’s the feeling before the slap starts to sting. it’s the betrayal, the knowing that you can never look at someone the same. it hurts in all the ways that shouldn’t.

If my mom sees a significant amount of blood she gets lightheaded, and has fainted on some occasions. Once it happened when we were kids, I wasn't there to witness it but I heard the story from my dad. Basically my brothers, around 7 or 8 at the time, were playing outside while my mom was making their lunch, and she accidentally cut her finger. It wasn't anything serious, but it drew a fair bit of blood and she passed out. My dad saw this and rushed over, but he didn't really know what to do so he just sort of started slapping her to wake her up (not recommended, but he had no idea and panicked)

At that exact moment my brothers both came in from playing, and all they saw was our mom unconscious on the floor and our dad slapping her. So, like, without even saying a word to each other they both just INSTANTLY start whaling on him, like, full blown attack mode to defend our mom. Which obviously didn't help the situation, but she did wake up and everything was fine.

Now our dad says that he's actually really glad they attacked him over what they thought was going on, because it means he raised good boys. And I still think that's true, they're very good boys.

i'm making myself laugh thinking about this but I wholeheartedly believe madame morrible absolutely HATES the thought of glinda and elphaba being together like the mere mention of gelphie would probably send her into immediate cardiac arrest and it's not even because she's homophobic or anything I just fully believe she dislikes glinda so so much she's just like this is absolutely NOT happening in my house.

glinda and elphaba are having their gay ass moment and she's like "I sense a disturbance in the force; the wind is telling me those fucking lesbians are at it again."

like IK this woman hates to see glinda's fruity ass coming for several reasons but first and foremost I believe it's because she's so fucking ANNOYED by how much elphaba loves and cares for her, like this pink bitch is throwing a wrench in her plans just by EXISTING and being herself.
