Send me an age and I'll tell you something that happened to my muse at that age.
Putting on an annual mini camp for kids ages five through ten who thought they might be interested in becoming a cheerleader one day had almost become like a tradition of sorts for the high school. It always took place in the gymnasium between nine and noon on one of the final Saturday mornings of summer, where the group learned a short routine to perform at the first home football game of the season, complete with a t-shirt and matching cheer bow to take home once the clinic was over and wear on the upcoming Friday night.
Making the varsity squad as a freshman was rare, yet it wasn't impossible. Scarlett had accomplished the feat, and that meant she was able to help out with the camp. She'd quickly noticed there was one little girl inparticular who seemed a bit more reserved than the rest, despite the effort she was putting in to learn the steps. The brunette made it a point to keep her eye on the kindergartener, who she learned during their short break period had only recently moved to Dallas from New York. While it'd taken the five year old a bit to warm up to her, she'd soon enough become attached to Scarlett's hip for the remainder of the morning.
Noon had officially arrived before anyone knew it, and it was already time for the parents to return to pick their children up. There was something the tiniest bit familiar about Ryleigh's father, yet Scarlett wasn't able to put her finger on exactly what it was. There wasn't very much time to bother with trying to figure it out anyway, given how excited the young girl was to tell him all about everything she'd learned and the new friend she'd just made.
"See you at the game?" Bending down to Ryleigh's level, the two completed their secret handshake they'd made up on the spot during the water break earlier that morning.
"I can't wait," she nodded, grin wide for further confirmation of the verbal response. "Bye, Miss Scarlett."
Mr. Richards offered Scarlett a warm, appreciative smile of his own before the pair turned to leave, but not just because he was grateful that his daughter seemed more upbeat and positive about things than she had when he'd originally dropped her off. No, between the fact that one look at the fourteen year old had taken him right back to his college days and reminded him all too much of Sue Ellen Ewing -- or at least what she must've looked like at that particular age anyway -- and the verbal confirmation of her first name, Peter was almost positive he'd just come face to face with his firstborn and Ryleigh had just officially shared her first bonding experience with her big half sister without either of the girls even realizing it.
Bruce and Clark know each other's identities, but the rest of the batfam does not know that Clark Kent is Superman.
The kids are trying to set their dad up on a date and Tim is like "well he obviously has a thing for that reporter, Clark Kent, we should start with him"
And Dick gets real upset bc "what are you talking about, he's obviously in love with superman!"
Damian, "Father does not have feelings for the alien!"
Jason, "Hate to break it to you, brat, but he's had a thing for the alien for years"
Cass, "but he is always so happy to see Clark at events"
Long story short, attempts at setting them up devolve into an all out war between the batfam about who Bruce should end up with, and thus commences the increasingly insane shenanigans to set Bruce up with Clark (Superman) or Superman (Clark)
Team Clark: Tim (he's a top notch reporter who loves to write about injustice and he's a more feasible option than Superman), Damian (he seems weak and bumbling but is a better choice than the alien), Cass (he was very nice when he spoke to her at a recent gala), Duke (Bruce clearly favors Clark to other reporters and even requests him specifically), Diana (was recruited by Tim, knows Superman's identity, but thinks this is hilarious)
Team Superman: Dick (superfan, absolutely wants Superman as his stepdad, and have you seen the way they look at each other?), Jason (I don't care about Bruce's love life (liar) but you'd have to be blind not to see that they're in love), Steph (why settle for a boring reporter when you could have Superman, have you seen his muscles?), Kate (got dragged in, thinks it would be funny if Mr. No Metas In Gotham ended up dating a meta)
(Alfred won't take sides bc he knows)
Bruce knows what's going on and on one hand is trying to figure out the best way to ask Clark to reveal his identity to his kids without telling him why so they stop and on the other hand isn't sure if a united front would be better or worse than a competition
Clark is oblivious, he's just happy to be spending all this extra time with Bruce
Just something about the absolute goofball energy of the first, running into the megalomaniac energy of the second. I feel like President Loki would be all "I am here to rule and nothing's going to stop me!" and the Mobius variant would be confused but on board and also distracted by a dish on another table: "Oh yeah? Cool, cool, tell me more. Hey, are you going to eat that?"
ETA: I ended up writing a short thing for this idea. Adding a link here in case the one in the reblogs isn't obvious.
New Hoshikawa skk art dropped and GODDAMN! It's giving the old, westernized times of ancient japan with train conductors (I blame Chuuya) while also jail break??? The monochromatic red is such a vibe.
Either SKK FTW 🎉🎉🎉
that look in Chuuya's eyes is like he's looking down at an ant oh god
i need more fan art, post-canon, of kabru and falin being besties. everyone wants him and marcille to be gossip buddies, but i personally think they wouldn't get along all the time lol. they're frienemies at best. kabru hasn't choked marcille out yet bc he knows marcille is important to laios and falin. marcille hasn't exploded kabru yet bc she knows he is integral to the kingdom and also is laios's new bestie.
but kabru and falin? instant besties. they kinda get each other. they understand how it is when people just assume things about you. also, they both adore laios very much. kabru was still like "sorry that i stabbed you multiple times." and falin just giggles and says "that's okay. sorry i apparently crushed you to death." and they both laugh about it.
