not sure if I personally agree with Aristotle about friendship tbh

#or maybe I'm just misunderstanding him? or not fully embracing all the ways that his views on friendship could be applied?#our professor went over it in class today and then also showed us how it can be reworked into a christian conception of friendship #via augustine's ordered loves #and like... I *get* that.#but I'm not sure that someone has to have that many similarities to you and also the friendship has to be fully reciprocal for it to be #a friendship?#I'm starting to feel like friendship isn't meant to be just about 'hey we like the same things and therefore we hang out together'#it's supposed to be more about choosing to help and lift up people again and again #and that (in healthy people with healthy support systems holding them up) flows outward from family relationships #your family knows you in the most intimate and personal way #your friends are the people who you are surrounded with who you lift up again and again when they need support from #outside the sphere of their family #idk maybe that's not how it works. but that's how it seems to me.#maybe I'm just tired of constantly second-guessing everything about everyone and all my relationships with everyone I know #maybe that's where the real truth here lies. I'm tired of being afraid and worn out from trying to ensure that I'm not taking too much from #anyone without giving back #both because I don't want to lose them and because I don't want to make them an idol and sin.#gurt says stuff

ch2 javi gives boaz a chili pepper leaf once as a treat (because javier himself loves chili peppers) and the capsaicin gives him a tummy ache but javi doesn’t know that capsaicin is bad for horses so he has no idea what the problem is and is freaking out a bit so he very incredibly begrudgingly drags himself to kieran, whom he knows probably will have an answer, and kieran is like “he just has a tummy ache, he’s okay :)” and javi is so unbelievably embarrassed but kieran was so nice to him that he’s also a little … charmed ?

#kieran’s kindness will never fail to fluster javier imo. javier is so angry and resentful towards him in chapter 1/2 because of the things #e projects onto him and then kieran will speak so kindly to him and do favors for him without even talking to him once (cleaning his saddle #feeding boaz or giving him treats/treating boaz’s little knicks or even giving him burdock root and medicinal treats that make him stronger #and healthier/one time he even woke up to find kieran wiping a little dirt off of his boots (javier initially wanted to hop up and accuse h #m of tampering with them or even stealing them but he lied still with one eye cracked just a little because he wanted proof (javi doesn’t t #ink he could get away with killing kieran over just seeing him TOUCHING his boots for a split second) and all he finds him doing is using h #s saddle brush and leather oil to brush and shine some dirt off of them. and then javi is left so confused and flustered and flattered and #harmed and even … angrier ? he’s a little awkward at first about it all LOL #so when kieran is just so soft and happy to help it makes javier so riled up in so many ways. if he were a horse he would pin his ears back #and buck out in a field just to get all of that energy out. since he is not a horse and cannot buck it out it makes him feel like he’s goin #to explode.#was going to actually write this but i don’t have the energy and likely never will so im posting it as it is ❤️#anyone else out there feel free to steal this idea from me i lowkey need it bad #i may write it some day possibly but the chance is low. god i hope this psychiatrist im seeing soon can help me. lord have mercy #rdr2 #red dead redemption 2 #text #hero's talking to himself again #kieran duffy #javier escuella #javieran #hero’s javier #hero’s kieran #hero’s javieran

well here's a new take on the wwx-wlj-wc sexual violence sequence at the wen supervisory office that i haven't encountered before: apparently some people over on the mdzs subreddit genuinely think it wasn't even wlj who [redacted because yikes] to wc. because we clearly can't use context clues, or our brains, to make the connection between "his woman" and the only named woman character who spends any amount of time with him in the text. aka wlj.

also apparently even if he did do the thing to wlj and made her [do the other thing] to wc, she had it coming, so we shouldn't care about anything that wwx does to her, or forces her to do.

anyway this fandom is the tar pit.

AU where Loki doesn’t interfere with Thor’s banishment at all and it takes Thor years to prove himself worthy and when he returns to Asgard everything is just. The same. Nothing seems to have changed at all and everyone greets him like his absence was a minor obstacle that didn’t fundamentally change Thor and the worst part is Loki stepped down from the place as regent without any delay and Thor can’t help but feel there’s something underlaying the way his brother looks at him now and won’t let him touch him and Thor doesn’t know what he could have missed because he doesn’t think he would have found anything wrong with the things around him and how everyone behaves if he hadn’t spent time on Earth reflecting.

#the warriors 4 not being interested in anything Thor ‘learnt’ at all #and making it clear that Thor was punished unfairly and the AllFather’s decision had been harsh #Loki saying he’s happy for Thor and Thor sees the way the smiles are forced and he sees the way Loki avoids any touch #Thor hating the way Frigga talks about Loki’s short regency and Thor’s absence like it wasn’t two whole decades or something #like she’s so grateful to have her other son back without ever addressing why he was gone #Thor just. growing during his time on earth and being much more aware of the behaviour around him #he learns to be critical and assess why people around him may act a certain way #once he realises that it’s possible for him or anyone else to be fallible and make mistakes it’s over for Asgard for him I think #Thor returns and Loki gives him the throne and everyone expects him to obviously have the throne #and Odin is sleeping and Thor isn’t comfortable with the way everyone accepts him as king regent after the banishment #Loki who either never lashed out against Jotunheim or did and it was brushed away and no one thinks about it as anything #but Loki is still deeply affected and acts the way he always would have but Thor can feel it’s not the same #he knows something is wrong and Loki won’t say anything about it and Thor doesn’t know how to bring it up #Thor sees Loki metaphorically receding into the shadows to become a nonpresence so loud Thor hears it even after returning from decades away #Thor goes to Earth and gets his priorities in order gets a new worldview learns not to take what he has for granted #and finds out he actually despised Asgard #he’s been back a week and he can’t stand it

#I WASNT EVEN MEANING TO SO I ACCIDENTALLY SKIPPED THE DIALOGUE BEFORE I KNEW WHAT WAS HAPPENING FUCK #ill go and find it later if only to give myself peace of mind. BUT WOW. WHAT THE FUCK #my original plan was to 1) work my way to the king and talk to him 2) doom myself and take everyone down with me 3) loop back to floor 3 #so i can visit the observatory and scrounge for any lore. although since i got killed that run siffrin asked the king to kill him first #which was intereresting. but i decided to have all doors unlocked that time around so i can just get the starcrest and go #but for some reason it wasnt working so i went to get the keyknife since i was already there and completely forgot i already had it #from the previous loop and THATS what triggered it.
