Just watched the assassins creed red trailer, here’s what it is looking like is gonna happen

-We are going to get grappling hooks again (Yay!)

-A new function for the hidden blade? (It looks like the blade will be detachable)

and as far as story

Two people from differing factions, He attacked her town, but she tried to reason with him, so they both abandoned their factions to fight together to take down the corrupt xyz, stuff we’ve seen before but this time it will look like it’ll actually work

With assassin’s creed red coming out, I’d like to point out that the character in question, Yasuke, also in the Netflix show of the same name and done quite well(at least by episode 5 where I am.) Will like be treated similarly as ‘Connor’ ratohnhaketon was in ac3. If not far worse, this being Ubisoft they will likely gloss over it or just ignore it entirely. But already fans of the games who don’t know history, also how does that happen?, are calling it ‘affirmative action’. Shut up. The games are about freedom and injustice, even if it was why are you complaining? In reality it is easily the best story they could tell for jp. My only worry is they fail to make good gameplay.

What about Desmond reborn in Ratonhnhaké:ton’s village, but not directly related to him (maybe like a second cousin or smth, but not meaningfully). And he’s like five years older so he doesn’t realize it at first.

If you want him to not know where he is at the moment and be older than Ratonhnhaké:ton, he can be born during the first year Kaniehtí:io left the village and try to do something about the colonists against her mother’s wishes.

They don’t talk about her because of this and Desmond is still a child so they try not to talk about the worrying things in front of him.

We’re not entirely sure when Kaniehtí:io went out of the village in canon so we can make it 5 years before she met Haytham, that way Desmond would be 5 ~ 6 when Ratonhnhaké:ton is finally born.

Desmond is concerned to be Ratonhnhaké:ton’s big brother in this one because he kept following Kaniehtí:io around when she returned and helped take care of the baby.

Some joke that Desmond is smitten by Kaniehtí:io but Desmond just ignores them.

By that point, Desmond is busy trying to remember everything was going to happen and trying to prepare for it.

When people ask what Desmond is doing, setting up traps and such, Desmond just answers with “hunting” even though the traps he set wouldn’t be triggered by small game.

Kaniehtí:io knows that those traps are meant for big games but she assumed Desmond was worried about large predators that tries to come near their village.

Desmond only says “yeah, sure.”

Because Ratonhnhaké:ton is sorta half-raised by Desmond as well (and his parents are now close to Kaniehtí:io because of Desmond’s actions), he mostly follows Desmond around instead of playing with the other kids.

So when the time finally comes…

Well…

Cue Desmond Home Alone-ing the village’s surroundings and getting in the way of Charles Lee and his men.
