my two favorite kinds of character:

1. simultaneously the baddest of asses and the dumbest of asses

2. least powered or competent in plot-relevant/changing skills, but also the only one with a functioning brain cell in the story

Me writing dialogue for this fic is just like. A universe where Scott and Stiles were in love would be so funny because they would simply not realize that they were being sincere about stuff because the Canon dialogue is legit so jokingly homoerotic for no reason. Canonically "do you wanna try making out for a sec? Just to see?" It's very funny

I just recently rewatched the Witcher and WOLF WITCHER DEREK HALE and jaskier coded Stiles. I absolutely love the witcher and teen wolf and their ideas kinda overlap.

Geralt and Derek have to same character dynamic —Grumpy, I could kill you on sight, only soft for one person, enough gulit in their shoulders to kill atlas. But in the end a good person who wants to be good, (Derek wanting to be a good alpha, Geralt wanting to be a knight)

Stiles and jaskier have the same coded character, uses a mask to hide the real him in public, cunning and smart, sarcastic little shits, someone who has an infinite patience for a grumpy man.

I’m going to go a little off script because although derek and stiles fit the mold of the character archetypes they would have different backgrounds/motives

So for Derek I’m picturing:

maybe he was from a rich family that were killed by the Argents (Kate 🤢) and he goes to Kaer Morhen (the wolf school) and goes through the trails. Boys his age don’t really survive the trails so the fact that he did made him the strongest to survive so they put him through the trails again making him the “alpha”. The hale pack Erica, Boyd, and Issac were also from the wolf school. He later gets called “the butcher” after he finds Kate later on and kills he and a few knights.

Or

He was dropped off at the wolf school as a child and Talia takes him under her wing as he goes through the mutagen’s that turn him into a Witcher. Kate is one of the witches that are working on the boys, she manipulated him and uses him to sack Kaer Morhen leading to the death of most of the hale pack. Peter goes feral and he is forced to put him down leading to the nickname butcher.

For Stiles there are many different option one could go with because although he shares many traits with jaskier I cannot see him as a bard. Maybe he’s also a Witcher from the cat school who ends up traveling with Derek after it gets a little to dangerous to as a lone Witcher.

Maybe he’s a traveling healer/herbalist/apothecary who keeps running into Derek and healing him. He graduated from Oxford, and helped smuggle out elves into safer locations(spy stiles). Maybe Derek trusts him to save him because stiles smuggled him out of an argent jail cell, a move that could have cost Stiles his life. So as a thank you Derek swears to help protect him in times of need (overprotective bodyguard Derek, my beloved). Stiles allowing Derek to play out his knight fantasy by protecting him.

Or maybe Stiles is a spark, he studied at one of the main mage school like Aretuza, and joined the brotherhood. While there he finds a conspiracy to create new Witcher loyal to the crown and the mage schools. One of the trails, Scott. So he grabs Scott and betrays the brotherhood, leading him to seek out Derek to help. Together with the hale pack the take down the corrupt leader and the argents.

There are so many options but the potential is so amazing!! Derek who hates everyone but stiles. The soft intimacy of their interactions. Stiles healing Derek in soft candlelight, light touches on his skin as not to overwhelm him. Derek being surround by stiles scent, a safe place to rest.

Hello, I've been searching for a fic for a couple days and I'm unsure if it was deleted or if I just can't find it.

It's a Sterek fic set in like medieval fantasy world. Stiles is a dragon and tags along with (I believe) werewolf!Derek, but Derek hates dragons so Stiles doesn't tell him.

I think Stiles is like a Bard or something and I think there was a scene where they're in like a tavern or something and he plays his instrument.

He’s tall, as tall as Derek is, but where Derek’s shoulders are wide, this man is lean strength. Stiles rests his cittern against the corner, gives a jaunty wave to the room, and begins walking in Derek’s direction.

Derek stops looking and buries his face in his pint glass, willing the other man to go away.

Stiles hesitates near the empty chair. “Mind if I join you?”

“Yes,” Derek growls and wishes he could flash his red alpha eyes at this stranger to make him leave. 

Looking from afar was one thing. Up close, Stiles’s eyes look like whiskey in firelight and he smells like citrus and woodsmoke. Derek’s wolf is going crazy inside him and he pushes down his reaction to this man. There’s something else, something other, but there are plenty of people who have residual magic of shifters in their family. It leaves a trace, but is often indistinct.

Stiles grins, pulls out the chair, and sits down. “Great.”

Alrighty!!! Hello hello. Since I’ve had such great luck with the fic finding help (thank you for all of the help) I figured I would repost my currently missing scenes and one new ask. These should all be completed stories on Ao3.

1. (New) GeraltxJaskier. These two fall into bed together and the next morning Geralt realizes Jaskier was too quiet the night before based on the other times Geralt’s overheard his bard find his pleasure. He gets a bit insecure and spirals thinking he didn’t please the other so in the next few towns he forces him to keep his distance hoping to encourage the bard to find someone who pleases him. Jaskier doesn’t though and Geralt is baffled. Then the Witcher decides to get hammered and the bard interrupts and says something like “don’t drink too much. I have plans for you and need you sober.” At which point Geralt tells him to find another partner and jaskier finally breaks down and asked Geralt what’s been up with him and Geralt opens up about his feeling and Jaskier says, “first of all darling we’re going to talk about how many times you’ve listened to me. Second I was simply overwhelmed and didn’t want you to be (maybe annoyed) by my talking.” Then they leave before Jaskiers finished his set, which Geralt asked about and he says some things are more important and they live happily ever after.

2. (RE-ASK) Stiles x Derek. I remember less about this one but I did try to find it by keyword with no luck. In this one Derek and Stiles are going on a first date and Derek is driving them. Stiles is acting odd. And Derek asked him why he’s not fidgeting or touching his stuff without permission and finds out one of the ladies (Erica and Alison maybe) “reminded” stiles that he’s super annoying and to curb all of his behaviors. Then Derek has to tell him how much he likes stiles for who he is! I know it’s a bit vague. I also kind of remember stiles sitting on his hands, getting permission to go through the glove box and put on a different cd and I believe their date was in a diner type setting.

3. (RE-ASK) JaskierxGeralt had recently gotten together and they are camping in the woods when Jaskier wakes up in the middle of the night (possibly due to a nightmare but I wouldn’t count on it) and decides to go take a bath in the river nearby and after a few moments Geralt joins him. During their conversation Jaskier says he has to act and Geralt should be used to it. So of course Geralt takes that in the worst possible way and says something along the lines of “you have to act in front of me?” Luckly Jaskier reads his self-hatred quickly and panics trying to explain that he doesn’t act because of Geralt but has to sometimes in front of him. I know, vague. Probably why I can’t find it 😭 I don’t remember anything else!!

Any way figured I’d try my luck once more, just in case anyone knew with some answers stumbled across it. Any help in locating these is greatly appreciated!!!

March top fic - An Elegant Solution - nie mingjue/wei wuxian/lan wangji. by far one of my favourite fics EVER and this was a reread and it still hurt me just as good as the first time. arranged marriage fic that fixes so many problems and weirdly the thing that hurts me most wasnt even the main pairing it was the nie minjue/lan xichen/jin guangyao. never has a fic made me pivot from hating to liking a character so effectively

Thank you for the tags @lucky-bishop and @vmures! It's been AGES since I've done one of these things!

Three Ships: Peter Hale/Stiles Stilinski (Teen Wolf), Thranduil/Bard (Hobbit), Peter Hale/Chris Argent (Teen Wolf).

First Ship: I think my first ever ships (or I just can't remember any further back) were either Sherlock/Watson or Ian/Mickey (Shameless), but the first ships I ever read fanfic for were Fenris/Anders (Dragon Age), and Sterek!

Last Movie: I've been re-watching a shit ton of random movies lately, and my last was Norbit.

Last Song: Elastic Heart by Sia.

Currently Reading: I'm reading Flight of Magpies by KJ Charles. I am absolutely LOVING this series so much. Highly recommend it!

Currently Watching: Date Movie.

Last Thing I Wrote: For original work, it was the second book in my Veiled City series, Teighan, and for fanfic, it was the second chapter of Making You Mine. I really need to get back into writing fic soon, I have so many I want to finish!
