As I gaze into the sunset,
The colors dance and play,
Reflecting off the water,
Creating a dazzling display.
The waves crash against the shore,
Their rhythm soothing and serene,
Taking me to a different place,
A world that's rarely seen.
The salty air fills my lungs,
And the sand is warm beneath my feet,
I feel the weight of the world lift,
As my heart begins to beat.
The sun sinks lower in the sky,
A fiery ball of light,
And with each passing moment,
The world becomes more bright.
As the day comes to an end,
And darkness starts to fall,
I'm left with the memory,
Of this moment, most of all.
Yours Truly 🌻

I’ve come to know you like a sibling
We didn’t always get along,
but I would always go to you after hard day.
We grew up alongside each other
I watched my childhood pass
within your warm summers and
pools that went on forever
my mother would say that you were
cookie cutter,
But I never thought that way.
No, I found your beige tiles and
stucco homes comforting.
For I am a child who’s wandered
in your marshes for so long,
that I’ve allowed myself to sink
and reclaim what’s rightfully yours
Without you, there is grief;
Despite your heat that is stifling
Even with the political upheaval
and chaos that looms over you,
You are loved.
You hold my friends and family within your coasts
You are a haven for the posh and impoverished,
A home for the wicked and the outcasted.
I swear you can become someone
new between a sunrise and sunset.
Now that I’m in my early 20s,
I will look to you for guidance,
listen to your oceans,
wait for them to tell me what to do.
I lay on your shores like nested in one’s
arms,
hope you are always there when I
need you.

My lips are chapped.
Forgot my sunscreen.
Forgot my cap.
Got sand in my undies,
Sand in my socks,
Got sand in my hoo-hees.
And stepped on a rock.
Spent hours on castles
The tide washed away.
Got sad-snoozy tired
From swimming all day.
Then you ripped me away,
Made me get in the car-o.
I threw a…

Back where, exactly?
A little lost in thoughts
Over the Atlantic
I saw a yellow moon rising…

Calypso was bedding Odysseus against his will every night for 7 years.
A week has 7 days and there are about 4 weeks in a month. Every month has on average 30 days. Or there are 365 days in a year.
Add them up and you will realize that Odysseus was raped more than 2500 times.
Let that sink in!

é haber feito
xa non ten porta
sentabase amodo
a terra o mar ían baleiros
connosco cansa dor
auga e volume de ser
sobre o meu corpo de pálpebra
o teu cansazo o pequeno tremor
que podemos facer?
