There was just so much chemistry here. Carmy really sees Sydney as he realizes she wants to take care of others. Also, Carmy is curious. Sydney responded to his curiosity. How they were in sync and engaged, present. Sydney's flirty inflection at "Boursin." Carmy raises his eyebrows as soon as she talks about what she created. Vibrant collaboration, alright.

Oh, and then Carmy finishes screwing Sydney's side, ending with "That's good" at the end of the climax of their conversion... notice the song is also at a climax as Eddie Vedder says, "You're talking next to me," and words of someone sleeping next to you, being close.

I think, perhaps one of the funniest things to come from EPIC popularising the Odyssey is that now a ton of people think Poseidon wanted to kill Odysseus.

In the Odyssey, Poseidon has no intention of killing Odysseus. In fact, part of the whole reason Zeus lets Poseidon do whatever he wants even though he thinks Odysseus is rad and should get to kiss his wife is explicitly because Poseidon had no intentions of killing Odysseus. Poseidon wanted to pay back the suffering/inconvenience blinding Polyphemus would have caused. It's a really abstract thing tbh. How do you pay back someone permanently disabling your son? Poseidon's solution was just to amputate Odysseus from his other half; i.e. Penelope. The end game was never murder, it was always an endurance race.

Also, for those wondering if there's any sort of in text reason for why Poseidon wasn't around in God Games - at the time in the Odyssey when Athena petitions Zeus to let Odysseus leave Calypso's island, Poseidon was -checks notes- on vacation in Ethiopia. Yep. He left to Ethiopia for a festival and thusly was very much absent for Athena's whole "please let Ody go? Please? 🥺" request.

Aroace Sonic pt 11

I have FeelingsTM about these cotton-candy colored friends

1. Behold! The line! When it comes to forms of physical affection Sonic is chill with a lot of stuff, but the last thing he ever wants to do is truly hurt his friends so you best beleive he gets serious in putting some things in the off-limits box for their sake. (And after that line is established he's back to teasing and being a little self-absorbed like nothing happened. Moving past it so they don't have time to feel embarrassed.)

2. Amy's begrudging about it, but he hit the nail on the head. She's a little embarrassed he read her so easily but she's not exactly surprised. (She is crushing on this guy for a reason and it's not just cause he's cool.)

3. Whether or not Sonic really kissed Rouge or if it was just the angle is still up for debate but that didn't matter here. What matters is Amy's reaction to thinking he did. He could have easily said that's not what happened but that wouldn't have addressed the real issue. So instead of exactly confirming or denying he goes right for the actual problem. He does this type of thing a lot, letting people assume certain things about him so he can get to the root of the issue. As he says, he's fine with being the bad guy sometimes. (Not that he's being bad here but y'know what I mean he's okay with conflict.)
