Calypso having to catch up with a lot of old things she was familiar with looking different now and Apollo's selective ignorance on things he should know are a phenomenal combo tbh

That thing when you ask your professor a question and they get that distant look in their eyes and stare into space for a while and you can see them racking their brain for an answer and then, they get really excited when they realize that they dont know so now they have an excuse to research something new >>>

Head of a funerary couch, in the shape of Ammit 😛
Ammit is a celestial beast who bestows final judgement on the deceased and devours the unjust in the court of Osiris.
Populalrly depicted in funerary texts like the Book of the Dead, Ammit is usually a combination of a crocodile's head, the front legs of a lion, and the hindquarters of a hippopotamus.
Found among three ritual funerary couches in Tutankhamun's antechamber and made of stuccoed gilded wood with each animal's eyes inlaid with colored glass paste, this particular couch is variedly composed of a curiously different configuration: a hippopotamus' head wearing a wig, a leopard's body, and a crocodile's tail and crest

When I was 13-14 I had just come to terms with the fact that I was attracted to women, but I was very closeted and so I would try to “cleverly” hide my true feelings in my drawings. I really though writing “cat suits are never not not not going to never not be not not hot” would somehow throw people off the trail of what I was trying to say. Same with writing “girls with guns,” (and then, in tiny letters) “are hot” would keep people from realizing I’m a homo. Truly one of my baby gay moments of all time

The Secret History really makes Greek professors out to be mysterious and high-class but my professor is called Dorothy, wears socks in sandals, knits during class, knows 14 languages (including Sanskrit and Proto-Indo-European) and has asked me questions like; “If you were a kitchen cabinet, what kind of cabinet would you be?” during break. Nothing mysterious about that woman but she’s so very talented and so much fun to be around.

Hera seducing Zeus
Based on the scene in the Iliad book 14. I followed how it was described + what Hera was wearing but also took some creative liberties.
