MAIN MASTERLIST | HOTCH MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
It wasn’t a dangerous activity—swimming on an almost freezing lake, or at least try to—but this time, the weather was being too passionate about covering everything with a thick blanket of snow.
Your hands were ice clutching his bicep, holding onto it him if your life depended on it, and his eyelashes were turning heavy, making it difficult to see beyond his nose. It was your tradition, though, and you were already with just your underwear on in a 27 degree Christmas morning.
There was no going back now.
“Are you sure this is a good idea?” Aaron said between clacking teeth.
“It was your idea.” Your chin shook too. “And yes. It always turns out to be a good idea. Fun stories to tell to our future grandkids, remember?”
That’s what you always told him when something slightly stupid happened—planned or not.
“Well, it’s a little different this year.” He turned his head to you. “There is a snowstorm now. And… there is a baby inside you.”
“It’s still a fetus.“ You looked up at him with a playful smirk. You’d given him the news early that morning as his Christmas present—along with some new ties and a massage coupon valid for a year. “And there wasn’t a snowstorm when we left home. Did you check the weather?”
“No?”
You narrowed your eyes and both examined your surroundings. The storm had gotten worse.
“Maybe this isn’t a good idea,” you gave in.
The thing was, it’d never been a good idea for him at all. Before he met you, Christmas had never been a good time of the year—for many reasons—but since you came into his life, that changed. You flipped his world upside down and Christmas turned into his favorite holiday just because of how happy the colorful lights and hot cocoa made you.
You were his favorite season, and for that, he was willing to feel that dagger-like pain just because of what came right after—being wrapped with a blanket, sharing heat between laughs.
“Let’s go back to the car,” he said. “This year we can make an exception and pretend to swim on the lake.”
“But—”
Aaron turned his entire body to you and closed the space between you, cupping your face. “She can freeze.” He gestured in between you with his brows.
“She won’t.” You smiled, placing your hand over your stomach by instinct.
“So you agree it’s a girl?” He was convinced you two were having a girl, even when it was too early to tell.
“It’s a fetus.”
“Let’s go back inside.” He laughed.
“No. Let’s do it quickly.“ You pulled him to the shore by his wrist. "We’re already here."
Aaron sucked in a hesitant breath.
"Please?” You pursed your lips. But he really was scared that your baby—or fetus—might freeze. "Hotch, she’s safe. Nothing will happen.“
"Fine.” He brought you close into a hug and scooped you by your thighs, holding you tight. “But it’s better like this. With her in between us.”
"Okay.“ You laughed and clung onto him with heart and bones as he dragged his feet through the snow and started to get in the freezing lake.
"It’s—oh, god, it’s cold,” he said with a tight high-pitched voice.
"Just ten more seconds.“ You squealed when the water reached your hanging feet and held your breath when the water reached your back.
Your stomach and his were glued together, keeping the baby warm, and you couldn’t help but laugh at the involuntary funny sounds he kept making.
“God, I love you so much,” he said between clenched teeth.
“I’m sorry!” You said loudly. “Okay! We’re done! Out! Out!”
Aaron moved as fast as he could and sprinted back to the car with you still in his arms, locking yourselves in the back seat where everything to keep you warm was already settled.
“Skin to skin! Skin to skin!” You barely let Aaron adjust and you were already straddling his lap.
He reached for the towel and quickly dried your bodies before placing the fuzzy blanket over you.
“I think we should find another Christmas tradition.” He kissed your temple as he started to rub your back.
“But I love this one.” You sniffed your nose.
“I love it too. But next year, with our baby, we won’t be able to do it.”
“I know.” You smiled at him and pecked his cold lips.
It was hard to believe that soon it wasn’t going to be just the two of you and your dog Chester.
“We’re really having a baby.” You sighed, so in love.
“We are.”
“I’m scared.”
“Don’t be.” He cupped your face. “Don’t be. I know it’s scary, but everything’s gonna be alright.”
He’s always been so good at calming your thoughts down.
“I’m scared to love so much.”
“I’m a little worried about this new love we’re gonna have. But it’s a good thing.”
His cheeks and nose were still flushed by the cold and his almond-shaped eyes were glimmering with a different light. Aaron often wished he could be with you inside your little bubble forever, away from the city and everything that came with it. You were enough for him and thinking about this new chapter in his life made him want to step aside and get to be with you through it all. It was a tough decision, but there was no rush to decide just yet.
Soon your bodies gained back temperature with the help of the hot cocoa, extra blankets and laughs.
“Okay, I think we should go. My parents are probably tired of babysitting Chester, and they’re waiting for us to start prepping dinner.” You put back on your hoodie, ready to hop on the passenger seat.
“Wait.” He swiftly took you back on his lap so you wouldn’t escape. “I uh, have another present for you.”
“You bastard. I knew it. I don’t want it. Save it for next year.”
“Oh, I think you’re gonna want this one.” He reached inside his pocket and pulled out a small ring, holding it right between your noses.
“Hotch,” you whispered in shock.
“I was going to propose this morning, but you had a better present for me so I had to improvise and put this one off.” That better present being the positive pregnancy test. “Marry me.”
Your eyes turned glassy and now your chin shook trying not to cry, but you couldn’t not to. The tear drops almost jumped out of you.
“Oh don’t cry.” Aaron wiped them off with his thumbs. “Honey, don’t cry.”
“It’s the hormones.” You laughed, drying your tears with your shirtsleeve.
“Is that a yes, then?”
“Of course.” You laughed again while nodding. “I love you so much. I can’t wait for you to be my husband.” He reached for your hand and put on the ring, placing a kiss over it. It fit perfectly. “You’re crying too?” You caught the single tear with a kiss.
“It’s the hormones.”

Twice Interactive Story Part 1149.5-1164.5 FFW (Sana)
Tumblr media
'Ding.' You check your phone, it's a message from Sana, she sends you a selfie that she is wearing an unbuttoned red shirt, and she is sitting on your chair. 'Boss, Your Sana is waiting for you at office.🤫🤫, I am like a fountain when you are on sick leave the last few days.'
Tumblr media
I don't respond until I get back to the office. "Well, I'm back today." I send back before strolling into my office. I start to plan out how I'm going to mention I'll be going away for a little bit.
You slowly walk into your room, Sana is still sitting on your chair, you only find out she is wearing but a pair of long stockings at the lower half of her body now. Her legs purposely rubbing your desk, catching your attention.
'Boss, our baby daughter is not here today. We can have as much fun as we can.' Sana smirks.
Tumblr media
You walk closer, caressing her legs, and move your hand up to her jaw. You grab her jaw, giving her a gaze. 'Is my slut being loyal to your master when I am not here?'
'Yes, yes! Of course, Sana is loyal to boss! But Sana is so needy these days. Please, boss, reward Sana for her loyalty.' You can feel her lust in her eye, she is really being hungry for days.
You get her up and make her sitting at the table. Before everything starts, you need to tell her you will be on leave for a long time, actually you wouldn't mind Sana joining you, but Mina is seriously negative to this idea, you can only give up. You already left a room for Sana after the renovation, but the unstable emotion of Mina is making you not sure about it.
I get behind Sana and sneak my hands under her shirt where I squeeze her breasts. "Is my little slut going to be loyal to her master when he's gone on a trip?" I ask her before getting behind her ear and whispering, "because I'm going on a little business trip."
'A business trip? Where?' Sana seems a bit interested about your trip. 'Do you need your slut's accompany? She can help you to ease stress in the lonely night...' Sana whispers to you
'Or you are going to try some foreign taste? Wait, no, me and Mina are already a foreigner to you, isn't?' Sana seems confused herself when she tries to tease you.
You do not give her the chance to think. You squeeze her breasts harder and leave hickeys on her neck. The scent of her perfume slips in your nose, making you go more furiously. Sana loves using perfume. She would even make it herself after asking what scent you like.
Your another free hand is squeezing her legs, it's the first time you see Sana wearing stockings, and she is only wearing stockings. Your cock already harden and poking her ass, Sana knows you are ready, but her questions makes you stop.
'Are you going with Mina?'
"She said she couldn't go. Something about going to visit family." I start to rub Sana's cunt through her stocking in an attempt to distract her. "Let's just focus on you right now. We're all alone for once."
'Umm... Can you feel how wet I am?' Sana immediately forgets what she wanna say, and just moaning. You go rougher, and Sana moans louder, her stockings start to wet because of her nectar.
'Ah!' Sana squirts all over your hand, you gently flip her over, ready to give her what she has waited for too long.
Sana sees you start to untie the belt, she removes her stockings at the same time. You immediately stop her. ' No, Sana, keep it on.'
'Oh, you love stockings, do you, boss?' Sana winks at you and uses her legs to rub your crotch. 'Oh... Sana...' Your legs feel weak when Sana starts footjobing, and you sit on your chair.
Seeing your reaction, Sana smirks and increases her pace, 'Mina never do that for you huh?'
"No, she's never done that before." I thrust to help Sana with her footjob.  "This is the first time I've gotten a footjob, I like it, but I think I'd like something else a little more." I say while rubbing Sana's thighs with my hands.
'Boss, why don't you try a complete footjob from me first? It would definitely feel good. We have a whole day, and both Mina and Tzuyu are not here today.' Sana smirks, one of her legs is jerking you, another one is rubbing your tips. The smooth stockings bring you to a new level of pleasure, Sana leans closer to let your play with her tits, and she guides you to squeeze her tits outside from the shirt.
The clothes on her make her look even more sexy than just naked, you just relax and lie on the chair, enjoying the services from your slut. 'Oh... Sana... you always give me so much surprise... Yes, there...'
'If Mina is not going with you, why don't you let I go with you. I can be your little secretary at the day and your little slut at the night. You are gonna have so much fun.' Sana teases you as she rubs your tips quickly, making you get lost in the sensation. 'Ah...'
"I would love to have my little slut come with me, but I'll be going alone. This is important, and I can't have any distractions."  I repsond while I pinch and twist Sana's nipples.
'Am I a distraction for you, boss? I am glad that you think I am a distraction. It means I am still attractive to you.' Sana smirks.
'You really don't need someone to jot minutes for you in the meeting? Or seducing others for you?' Sana asks as she raises one of her legs right in front of your face. It is not as smelly as you expected. Instead, the mixture of her scent and sweat makes you even horny.
'It's even harder! I really don't know you like that, maybe I should not bath before you come to my place next time.' Seeing you keep breathing the scent from her legs, Sana smirks and rubs your face with her legs, teasing your lips with her toe.
I push her legs to the side and press myself against her body. "Enough of that. Let's get to the good part." I rip her stockings near her crotch and push my fingers into her cunt.
'If it's enough, then put it in, boss. I want it.' Sana licks your finger and seduces you. 'You wanna fuck me in those stockings, don't you?'
'Shut up, slut. So hungry, are you?' You playfully slap her face and withdraw your finger. 'Beg for it, prove how much you need me.' You rub her clit with your cock, waiting for her answer.
'Please, boss, master! I need your cock. I don't know when we can fuck again if you go on a trip. Please.' Sana says and starts sucking your finger.
'Good girl, turn around and get your reward.' You pat her ass, signaling her to turn around so you can fuck her from behind. Sana follows your instructions and arc her ass even higher, making her body shape more stand out.
'Do you want to cum on my stockings?' Sana turns around her head, biting her lips.
I ignore her and impale her with my cock. "I'll cum wherever I want." I pull her arms back as I thrust, feeling my cock go deeper. Sana's moans only make me go rougher on her.
'Please, boss. Please cum for me! I need your cum. I want to join your trip because I want your cum everyday. Please fill me, boss! Ah!' Sana reaches the orgasm quickly as you play with her body. Her legs feel weak and nearly fall down.
You hold her waist and keep fucking her, her moan is not as loud as before, the orgasm is too intense, making Sana loss control of her body. Sana sticks her tongue out and you can see saliva dripping from her lips. 'Ah... boss... fuck me...'
"I'll fill you up, Sana!" I hold onto Sana's waist pulling her onto my cock as I thrust. Knowing that I'm going to cum I bury my cock inside her and unload inside her.
'Ah!' Sana's body jerks when you start to fill her, your cock keep throbbing and unloading your seed in her tint pussy. After resting from the long sleep, your cum is much more than usual, although you reach her deepest spot, her pussy cannot contain all of your cum, the cum start dripping out from her clit.
You sit on your chair again and put her on your lap, the cum dripping out faster, the white seed slowly penetrate her black stockings. You squeeze her tits and kiss her neck, leaving handprints and hickeys on her body. You are declaring your ownership of Sana in the purest way.
'Boss... you bring me to heaven...' Sana says tiredly, she does not have the stamina to resist your naughty hand. 'I will be your slut forever, I am all yours.'
"My little slut forever. I'll make sure to use you well." I whisper into her ear while I squeeze her tits. "Clean me up," I say to her. Sana doesn't resist falling off my lap onto the floor, where she plops my cock into her mouth and starts to clean my cum and her nectar off it.
'Good girl.' You pat Sana's head, appreciate her effort on cleaning your cock. 'Any reward you want? You want more of my cum?' You ask and you push her head towards your crotch, only release it when she starts to chock.
'Ugh...' Sana did not stop sucking you despite her being out of air. 'Of course, I want Boss's cum. But I want to go with boss more. I can warm your bed at night. We can even fuck on street as no one know about us there.' Sana gives you a slutty eye.
'I am thinking of going for a sterilization, so you can use my more freely.' Sana whispers to your ear as she stands up.
"That’s not necessary, Sana." I grab her waist and pull her in my lap. "Is there anything else you want?" I say as I start to tease her ass. We've done your mouth and your pussy.
Sana winks at you and bites her lips, 'I wanna do more for you, boss. Please don't be hesitant to share your fantasy with me, Sana will satisfy your wish.' She says as she leans and sticks her tongue out, your tongue dancing in the air.
You tear another hole near her ass in the stocking, your teasing makes her horny and she grinds on your cock. 'Boss, you want my ass?' Sana removes her butt plug. 'Now I feel uncomfortable if it is not in my ass, would you help me?' Sana shows you the butt plug you give her.
"Of course, Sana," I press my cock against her gaping asshole and ram it inside without giving Sana a chance to adjust. I hold her down on my cock while whispering in her ear. "How does that feel? Does my little slut love having my cock in her ass?"
'Oh, yes. I can't live without something in my ass now, it has to be your cock. Ah, it's so big...' Sana moans in your ear as you start to moving her by grabbing her waist. Everytime she goes down, you thrust your hip to go deeper in her.
As Mina is not here today, you do not need to worry about her today. You go rougher and rougher as your lust takes over your mind. 'It's so big...' Despite Sana moaning in pain, you have no intention to slow down, you are focusing on your own pleasure. you already leave several handprints on her tits, the ways you squeeze her legs may leave lots of bruises if Sana removes the stocking later.
'Boss... Please cum with me... fill my ass...' Sana screams when she is on the edge of the orgasm. You find that something is missing despite Sana's ass milks you like a sucker, 'Oh, it's Tzuyu, she is not her today.' You suddenly remember, the absence of her moan makes you feel like something is missing.
I put Tzuyu out of my mind for the moment and thrust harder into Sana. Her moans push me closer to the edge, and I feel her ass grow tighter as she cums. Momenta later, I reach my climax and fill her ass with my cum. I hold onto Sana’s waist, forcing her to grind against me while I ride out my orgasm. “Did you enjoy getting your ass filled? We have to plug it up quickly so it doesn’t spill out of you.” I tell Sana.
'Ah... so warm...' Sana moans again as she feels your cum filled her ass. 'Can I use you as a plug? It's much more better than the real one.' Sana lays her head on your shoulder.
You fix her messy hair that stuck with her forehead, 'You really love my cock so much, do you?'
Sana grabs you for a kiss before she answers, 'I promised to be your slut for life, I won't cheat on you again. Of course, I love your cock and ...'
You kiss her again to stop her before she can finish, 'Then my slut need to behave well when I am not here.'
'I can't go with you for real? Mina won't know if it's a normal business trip.' Sana looks at you with a poor face. ' Ah, I got something.' Sana gets up from your lap and let you plug the butt plug in her.
Sana gets something from your drawer, she hides it behind until she sits on your lap again. 'Do you like it, boss?' Sana says as she shows you the thing, it's a chastity belt.
“I do,” I tell Sana, “You’ll be wearing this while I’m gone. I hope you got all your urges out right now, or else this will really be torture for you, Sana.” I play with her clit, “I’ll be gone for quite a while” I fuck Sana until the day is done, making sure she’s satisfied for the moment before looking back at the chastity belt. “Are you going to wear it now, Sana?”
You look at Sana, who is resting on your couch, waiting for her answer. Her tits bouncing heavily as she is still recovering from the orgasm.
'I am ready, but are you satisfied already, boss? Your trip is gonna without any girls. Or you wanna bring my stockings with you, so you can fap at night?' Sana teases you again as she sees you are rubbing her legs.
You never found that you have such an interest in Sana's legs until she wears stockings for you today. Her stocking is now full of scent of the mixture of her sweat and nectar, and even your cum. Her stocking is nearly damaged in the furious sex, especially her crotch area, the cum is keep dripping out from her pussy. The wrinkles on her red shirt makes her even look horny, she is just like a whore in this dressing, inviting any men to fuck her.
You slowly remove her damaged stocking so you can fit the chastity belt on her, but Sana stops you by stepping on your crotch with her legs, 'You really don't wanna cum on my stockings, your hands never leave them today?'
"Maybe when I come back. It'll be something to look forward to." I tell Sana as I continue putting the chastity belt on her.  After that, I'll go take a bath at a bathhouse before returning home.
You help Sana to change in the spare clothes before leaving the office. Knowing you are addicted to her stockings, Sana did not throw the broken one, instead she put it in your drawers.
'You can bathe at my home, you know, I can help you clean your body.' Sana says before leaving your car. You are nearly tempted to the idea, but you know you ain't gonna leave very soon if you enter her house body.
'Goodnight, boss.' Sana kisses your cheek and leaves the car.

The 1980 Dallas RPG was a Soap Opera Wargame?
Tumblr media
In 1980, SPI, a company known for its wargames did a strange thing and published an RPG based on the Dallas tv show. If you don't know anything about the tv show, don't worry, I will protect you. It's too late for me though. You go on ahead. Basically, it was a hit TV show of big money family feuding. Imagine Succession but it was written in the 1980s and instead of TV news, it was an oil company. Unlike the show, the RPG wasn't a hit. The art director of the game famously wrote that they printed 80,000 copies and that was 79,999 more than people wanted. That one person seemed to be this person's grandma who bought it for him to save his soul from D&D/Satan.
What is this game though? Well, James F Dunnigan, founder of SPI and designer of legendary wargame, Panzerblitz, seems to have applied his analytical mind to the internecine squabbles of Dallas and decided that, if you think about it, petty family drama isn't so different from CIA covert ops. And he was right.
As you'd expect from a wargame, the rules are dry and clinical to a fault. You start by picking one of the 9 characters from the show - JR, Jock, Sue Ellen, Pam, etc. They all have stats like Persuasion, Coercion, Seduction. And these stats have attack/defend values. For example, JR has a Coercion of 24 because he's a real jerk. Sue Ellen has a Seduction resist of 18, but it's 20 against JR, because again, he seems to have been a real jerk. This game genuinely went out of its way to make sure you know JR's wife really really doesn't want to go near him.
Each character starts the session ("episode") with a secret story-based objective. Jock wants to run an angry former employee out of town, JR wants to cheat an Arab oil magnate out of 100 million dollars, Sue Ellen wants to do a favour for an old boyfriend. Yeah, what can I say? Some of these objectives feel more important than others. Regardless, you achieve these objectives by controlling 4 or more specific minor characters and organisations by the end of the game. For example, to enact his 100 million dollar plan, JR has to control the Ewing Oil Company, Mustafa Quattara, Professor Bayard, the reporter Mary Cleef, and so on. But characters' objective overlap so Pam also wants Mustafa Quattara and Jock also wants Professor Bayard. These conflicting goals means players need to scheme, negotiate and attack each other so they can win.
The sessions play out in five rounds. Each round, the GM sets the scene. Then, the players can negotiate and make deals. Then, we enter the conflict phase where each player makes three moves - either trying to gain control of uncontrolled NPCs, or attacking another player to steal an NPC from under them, or protecting their own NPCs. And the game throws in little curveballs every round: Oops, some of JR's drinking buddies are in town and he can't say no to them, so his character is out of this round. Hopefully the player has some NPCs that they can use to act instead. Oops, Mustafa Quattara is being chased by assassins. Whoever controls his card has to give it up as he disappears for a bit and comes back uncontrolled. The end result is somewhere in between Vampire the Masquerade (or rather, Undying) and Blood on the Clocktower.
Sure, the math is dense (you roll 2d6 under the difference between the attack value and the defense value, plus or minus any currency spent). Sure, it takes 9 players to really sing. Sure, multiple people can complete their objective so you need to track victory points separately to decide the real winner. Sure, you have to take the homophobia out of the Seduction rules. Sure, roleplaying is completely optional. Sure, sure, sure. The game is a mess. But it's a very playable mess. I'd go so far as to say it's an electric mess. It's shockingly (sorry) fun to play. I think the secret lies in a very clear agenda for the players, a tight boardgame-like action economy, a premise that supports hilarious degrees of pettiness, and an inter-personal experience that demands everyone pay attention to what their friends are doing.
So. Am I planning a full 9 person play-by-post game of this? Yes. Am I thinking of changing the setting and the math? Yes. Is that basically designing a new game? Yes. Should this game be labelled "Powered by Dallas" or, as one of my players suggested, "Hornswoggled by Dallas"? YES.

A Blanket of Bear
Read on AO3
Word count: 1,098 one shot
Tags: Halsin x reader, fluff, fluff without plot, ear nibbles, soft Halsin
Summary: Halsin refuses to take a break since the two of you returned to Thaniel's Realm. Luckily for him, you always know what he wants without him needing to ask.
A/N: Just some more Halsin fluff that nobody asked for but you all definitely need. A quick one shot from a prompt in a discord server. Enjoy some tooth-rotting marshmallow fluff and ear nibbles.
Bedtime must have been an ordeal tonight.
You sit in your bed, book in hand, waiting for Halsin to finish his nightly rounds with the children. Normally, you’d be there helping but he insisted you get the evening off. The past week or so had been a long one. Two of the old buildings in Reithwin were crumbling beyond repair, causing a significant delay in rebuilding. On top of that, a couple of the children dared each other to eat spoiled mushrooms, causing a fever to spread through many of them. Then today, you found out that the new berry patch you had started a few weeks ago had been infected with a blight and had to be burned away.
You’d really hoped to have fresh berries to top the honey cake you planned to make for Halsin’s birthday.
Over the sound of the fire crackling in front of you, you hear the soft clack of your cottage’s door opening and closing. The familiar sound of his footsteps causes you to mark the page you were reading before setting it to the side. Not a moment later, Halsin is standing in the doorway.
“My heart.” He has a tired smile on his face, his eyes look heavy, and his shoulders are drooping.
“What is it, love?” You hold your hand out, inviting him closer.
“Just the fatigue of an old druid trying to keep up with eighty-some children.” He takes a deep breath before coming to sit on the edge of the bed.
"Then you should have let me help you.” You reach out and gently stroke his back. “You know, I could always give you an evening off as well. I’d say you more than deserve it.”
“Oh no, that’s not necessary. Besides, I shudder to think what chaos the children will cause should I fail to deliver a bedtime story.” His affectionate chuckle makes you feel warm from head to toe. He would never admit it, but he was tired. As much as he adored the children in their care and how much he believed in their cause of building this community, he just wouldn’t admit that the past months had also exhausted him to the bone.
“I can tell stories! I’ve told many, you may remember.” You cross your arms, a playful scowl clouding your face.
“Yes, usually with my help if I’m not mistaken.” He smiles that perfect smile at you, the one that makes your heart flutter, and your cheeks redden.
“Well, you do have the best voices for the monsters, my love.”
He leans over and presses his forehead to yours before placing a light kiss on your lips.
“You’re so sweet to worry about me, my heart. But this task was one I decided for myself, for us. I owe it to you and everyone else here to see it through.”
“Halsin,” you reach up to tuck a runaway hair behind his ear, “you don’t have to be everything for everyone every second of the day. You’ve spent more than enough time feeling responsible for others. Let someone take care of you for once.”
“Well, that’s what I have you for, is it not? The only person in a century to give me the chance to sit and enjoy nature once again.” He kisses the back of your hand before staring back into your eyes. Those gorgeous, hazel eyes have seen every part of you, loved every part of you.
“Of course.” You smile back at him, knowing exactly what he wants right now, although he’s never willing to ask it of you.
You scoot back in the bed to lean against the headboard, a pillow propped behind your back for comfort. A knowing grin tugs at his lips from the movement. You hold your arms out, inviting him to come lay against you. He turns his back to you, snuggling himself between your legs, laying his head on your chest.
You wrap your arms around his shoulders, letting your hands rest on his chest. He takes a few deep breaths as he relaxes into your embrace. With every stroke of your hand across his torso, he melts further into you. You slowly trace your fingers around his shoulders, the lines and grooves memorized from your nights together. He mirrors the light touches on your thighs, sending shivers throughout your body.
Halsin nestles himself further in between your legs, his warm body a comforting weight pinning you down. You know that if you can get him to relax just a little further, he’ll easily drift into a trance in your arms.
You continue your gentle massaging, easing the tension in his muscled shoulders and earning you soft, content sighs. When you run your hands through his hair he leans further into your touch.
“My heart?” He asks with the tired tone of a child fighting a nap.
“Yes, my bear?”
“Would you…” He trails off, still not willing to ask for anything for himself. You smile to yourself, thankful that you know what he wants without him needing to ask.
You pull him closer to you, once again wrapping your arms around his broad shoulders. Despite his size, he always feels so much smaller when you hold him like this. Like he shrinks himself down to fit into your embrace better. You lean forward a little so you can press a kiss into the skin where his hair meets his neck, just behind his ear. Slowly, you move your lips to his ear, grazing them up and down the edge, every now and then pausing to nip in the spots he liked – the pointed tip, the lobe. Your gentle nibbles cause little bumps to rise up all over his skin. You let your lips wander up and down his neck before coming back to his ears, those perfect kissable ears. Alternating between kissing and nipping his earlobes and nuzzling your face into his hair and neck, you hear his breathing slow down and you notice his eyelids have stopped fluttering.
“I love you, Halsin.” You lean forward just a little more to whisper the words to him.
A small murmur escapes his lips, cutting through his trance to make sure you know he feels the same. “I love you, my heart.”
He may not be willing to take an evening off yet, but you can sleep soundly next to him knowing how relaxed he is in your arms. Knowing that at least for tonight, he’ll rest.
And how lucky for you to fall asleep with your loving bear as a blanket.

Propaganda
Katharine Hepburn (Bringing Up Baby, The Philadelphia Story, The African Queen)—(I hope someone else submits real propaganda but just in case they don't:) Cries. Screams. Wails. The woman who singlehandedly made me realize I was bi. A real "do i want to look like her. be her. or be with her.' crisis, where the answer was all three. Holy shit please all three.
Diahann Carroll (Paris Blues, Carmen Jones, Porgy and Bess)— Face of an angel. She had the range. She brought chemistry with every romance she portrayed. She also had a great fashion sense, and was so pretty Mattel made a doll based off of her.
This is round 6 of the tournament. All other polls in this bracket can be found here. Please reblog with further support of your beloved hot sexy vintage woman.
[additional propaganda submitted under the cut.]
Diahann Carroll:

Another groundbreaking black actress, although she might be better remembered for her television roles. She was also an activist and worked with charities to support women in need.

here she is hanging out with shadow prince anthony perkins :3

Katharine Hepburn propaganda:
Tumblr media
I'm sure one million people will submit her as an iconic Hollywood star but that iconicness might lead people to forget just how insanely hot she was like she had it ALL she was skilled she was funny she was smart she was beautiful AND she was likely bisexual
Tumblr media
The single word I would use to explain Katherine Hepburn's appeal is *range*. In her acting career, that meant covering all the ground between lush period dramas and the comedies she did with Carey Grant and Spencer Tracey. In terms of hotness, it meant an uncanny ability to bring anything from a Dietrich-esque androgyny to some of the best Classic Hollywood Glamour you will ever see.
Tumblr media
Katharine hep was so cool. The VIBES, the INDEPENDENCE,,, living life on her own terms.
Tumblr media
she just had this.... bearing to her, this power. she could be funny, even silly (like in bringing up baby) but also so regal and elegant. she was nobody's fool and dear GOD that's so hot
Fancam link
Tumblr media
She’s not only stunningly gorgeous (those eyes that pierce your soul! a jawline you could cut glass with!) but her delivery and physical presence in roles gives off confidence and authority in such a sexy way (truly the biggest dick energy of Old Hollywood). Her fiery energy in The Philadelphia Story? Unmatched.
Tumblr media
God she's. She's so hot y'all. She has the range!!!!! Funny and dramatic and lovely
Tumblr media
She IS the transatlantic accent. Classically gorgeous and such a strong personality.
Tumblr media
She's literally one of the funniest women to ever live! She goes shot for shot with Cary Grant in Philadelphia Story and we damn well love her for it! She's the most annoying creature to ever live in Bringing Up Baby but she's so insane and funny that we simply cannot help but fall in love with her (and root for her to give Grant an aneurysm!)
Tumblr media
i know she's accounted for but i really want to be sure someone has submitted the scene in bringing up baby where she's pretending to be a gangster
youtube
She simply stuns onscreen; you cannot do anything but be captivated by her presence. Also a non-gender-conforming icon and mild tumblr celebrity by virtue of that one picture from The Warrior's Husband (stage play).
Tumblr media
Katharine Hepburn was out here casually changing the lives of young butch lesbians with her gender swag! She wore pants even when people said she shouldn’t, she refused to marry or have kids, and she wore menswear in at LEAST one movie!
Tumblr media
If I start thinking about her face for too long I will cry she is so so hot. Katherine is so charismatic and charming in everything she appears in - watch her adopt a leopard and fall in love with her. Also she has the biggest dick energy ever (she and her pal Lauren Bacall share that accolade). Also had an incredibly long and varied career from screw ball comedies to serious dramas - she’s a queen of the screen and I adore her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Someone's got to mention it, but she's won the most Oscars out of any performer and is largely considered one of the greatest actresses ever. She's got an incredible voice, an incredible presence, and she absolutely steals every scene she's in. She was private person and deemed standoffish and unapproachable, but she was also profoundly concerned for people's rights and was an outspoken supporter of abortion access. Finally, the Katharine Hepburn slacks look is just iconic. I mean look at her.
Tumblr media
This woman. I have been obsessed with her for years. I know the urban legend is a popular one at this point of her walking around set in her underwear when her pants were stolen and she was left with only a skirt, but the pants thing is honestly enough for her to be the hottest in the room in my book. She refused to wear anything else at a time when the public in general and especially the studios did not like that. She was independent, stubborn, and so so very capable. Competency kink anyone? Also, if you want one final way that Katharine's entire life was saying "fuck you" to the establishment, it started young! Her mother took her to suffrage events, and she never got rid of that attitude of justice. I feel like I have barely scratched the surface of all the ways she was such a badass that I'm turning into a rambling mess instead.

Gale Cleven post! war with a classmate! Reader of his when he goes back to college? And what their relationship would be like if you could :) good luck with school!
thank you, love! I know you sent it around that time I was working on my thesis but now when I'm posting this... I'm so behind the uni work, it's almost funny 🤡 anyway, thank you for your request as well, because it was very interesting and something fresh and new 👨🏻‍🎓 I enjoyed writing it and it turned out to be quite long for a "short story" lol
I had to currently close the requests because I got so many so I'm working on them atm 🙏🏻
Tumblr media
There was a new boy on the campus – well, a man, really. He was older than most students and some confused him with one of the lecturers. You went to one of the classes with him and sometimes you found yourself staring when he was not looking but you were not the only one to do so.
He was handsome – very handsome, you’d say. And his eyes were a beautiful shade of blue while his hair was blond and neatly combed with a reckless strand sometimes falling down on his forehead while he was taking notes. His name was Gale Cleven and he was mysterious. He didn’t talk about himself much and he was not very social in general. You couldn’t recall a time when you would spot him having a chat with anyone. His cheeks had small, thin cuts all over them and you wondered where they had been from. Could they be the reason for his mysterious behaviour? Or maybe they were a part of a bigger picture, some sort of backstory that made him so quiet and stoic?
On the other hand, it was not like he never laughed. When someone made a joke out loud, Gale Cleven would laugh with everyone else and his beautiful, melancholic eyes sparkled with joy. You knew, because you watched him carefully. Despite the mystery, he didn’t have an eerie aura of a bad boy. There was goodness and kindness all over his face; maturity that other boys around you lacked. They just wanted to party and have fun like typical students and most of their topics to discuss were about sports, drinks, girls and the war that had ended not so long ago. However, the American boys still talked about the planes, the guns, the tanks and the heroes. You couldn’t be interested in dating any of them. Not to mention, as a woman in college you could not afford any distractions. You had been working hard to be able to study there and you did not want to miss that opportunity. You couldn’t start getting worse grades or suddenly decide to drop out and get married – God forbid get pregnant. No, that would be a disappointment to your family and to yourself, too. Because your goal was to get a degree for yourself.
Tumblr media
The day was warm and sunny, so you were sitting under a tree with your roommate Kathy. She was a chatty girl – sometimes annoyingly – but she was also social for the both of you. So, she would tell you all the gossip and all the drama that had taken place during the parties. Thanks to her, you were always updated on the social life of the campus. But since you were both studying for the upcoming exam, she was unusually quiet on that day.
That changed when from the corner of your eye, you spotted Gale Cleven with a book in his hand, walking in your direction. He found himself a tree nearby and sat under it since no one else had been occupying that space. He opened the heavy book from the library with a leather brown cover and leaned on the tree to read the marked pages. You wanted to go back to reading your own book and your notes, but you couldn’t focus as your eyes began to wander in his direction over and over. Kathy giggled and you gazed upon her questioningly.
“What is it?” You asked.
“You’re so terrible at hiding it,” she rolled her eyes. “You fancy him.”
“I do not!” You gasped, scared that she knew your deeply hidden secret. In fact, you didn’t want to admit it even to yourself because you just did not want to get involved in any sort of romance or affair while working on your degree. Not that Gale Cleven would ever look back at you, anyway.
“Why do you write about him in your journal then?” Kathy asked and squinted her eyes as your heart skipped a beat.
“Are you reading my journal now?” You accused her.
“Oh, don’t be silly! I accidentally opened it the other day, thinking it was one of your notebooks for the class. I was looking for the notes from that lecture I missed. But no, it was your journal and I really didn’t want to read it but I couldn’t help but see that you mentioned him like three times on the same page!” Kathy giggled and you felt your cheeks warming up.
“I was just wondering about him. Where he’s from, what he's like. Everyone wonders that about him, don’t they?” You tried to come up with an excuse.
“I think I know, actually,” Kathy lowered her voice mysteriously and you leant in to listen. “You see, Jack told me,” she explained.
Jack was a guy she had been hanging around with for a while now and you expected them to go steady soon. Jack was also one of the most social guys on the campus and he was nice to everyone. It was easy to feel welcomed and secure in his company. He was one of those old money people who had everything but it didn’t spoil their character. You sometimes wondered why Jack wanted to date Kathy, who was a nice girl but a huge gossip. You couldn’t judge her too hard, though, since you were engaging in gossip as well. Just like right now.
“And how can Jack know anything?” You asked before she could say a word more.
“Because Jack’s been curious about that guy,” Kathy rolled her eyes at your disbelief in her soon-to-be boyfriend’s capability. “And he asked around. He even asked his father and, as you know, he’s quite a persona.”
“I am aware,” you nodded.
“So, Jack wondered how a guy like Gale Cleven had gotten himself to a school like that, you know?”
“And?” You asked, biting on your lower lip out of anticipation.
“Turns out he served in the last war and he’s quite a hero, too. He received some medals but he never picked them up,”  Kathy explained and you tilted your head like a confused child or a cat. You weren’t sure what to think of that story. “Well, you have to admit, it would explain his age and the scars,” she continued. “And that’s not the end of the story. He didn’t just serve. He was a pilot. He was flying heavy bombers in Europe! And… he spent over a year in a POW camp in Germany.”
“Now, that sounds like a legend, you know? I like Jack but I think he reads too much of Francis Scott Fitzgerald,” you shrugged your arms. “Sounds too much like Gatsby or something.”
“You read too much of Francis Scott, not Jack!” Kathy giggled. “Look, he’s staring at us!”
You hissed at her, embarrassed with the volume of her voice as you turned around to look at Gale Cleven. He was indeed looking at you but he blushed and looked down at his book immediately after you turned around.
“I’m sure he knows we’re talking about him,” you were not very pleased with that.
“Oh, come on! Go to him,” Kathy pushed you slightly.
“What?! No way! We don’t talk to each other,” you protested, all stressed out as your heart pounded in your chest.
“Then that’s the best time to start. Go, ask him for a pencil,” she came up with that just like that and you realised why Kathy was such a social person who was friends with everyone and managed to get a guy like Jack. She just had those ideas out of nowhere, she knew how to start a conversation… She was a natural, really.
You rolled your eyes and fixed your skirt as you put your book and notes aside. After all, asking for a pencil was not that embarrassing, was it? You stood up and approached Gale Cleven with cold and sweaty hands. He looked up and it nearly took your breath away how handsome he was with those beautiful blue eyes and that one hair strand on his forehead.
“H-hi,” you waved shyly at him as he raised an eyebrow. “My name’s (Y/N),” you introduced yourself and regretted it immediately. You didn’t have to introduce yourself when you were just asking a stranger for the pencil, did you? Well, it was too late now. “We go to Modern History class together,” you pointed out.
“Yeah, I know who you are,” he nodded and gave you a genuine and warm smile that made it very difficult to stop yourself from giggling like a teenage girl. “I’m Buck,” he introduced himself.
“Buck?” You were surprised to hear that.
“That’s what friends call me,” he explained.
“Oh, I see…” You nervously played with your fingers. “Anyway, well, uh, I… I was wondering… Because I am studying for my exam and…” you pointed at the tree behind you where all your things and Kathy were. “I was thinking… Do you have a pencil on you perhaps? To lend me? I forgot to take mine from the dormitory,” you explained nervously and you suddenly realised that it all had sounded very fake and totally made up, actually.
But Buck did not seem to mind. He put his hand into the pocket of his trousers and handed you a pencil with a smile.
“There you go,” he said.
“Oh, thank you!” You took it from him and squeezed it in your fist. “You’re a lifesaver, really!”
“No big deal, (Y/N),” he winked at you and made you feel dizzy with the way he said your name out loud in that deep voice of his… and the wink did not help the sensation at all. “It’s just a pencil.”
“Um, well, thank you anyway. I will give it back!” You promised and smiled at him before running back to Kathy who had a huge grin on her face.
It wasn’t easy to go back to studying after that. You kept staring at Buck Cleven secretly and your eyes were only looking at the words in your notes but not reading them at all. And then, one time when you lifted your head up, he was gone.
“It’s good,” Kathy told you. “It means you have one more opportunity to approach him when you’ll be giving him his pencil back.”
Tumblr media
You approached Buck after your exam when you went to the library to give the books back since you weren’t needing them anymore. He was sitting alone by one of the tables and reading a book as usual. So, when the librarian was already done with the pile you had given her, you approached Buck after finding his pencil in your purse. In fact, you had been walking around with it in your bag for a week now, looking for an occasion like this.
“Hey,” you started and he looked up. When he spotted that it was you calling him, he smiled gently. “I have something yours,” you reminded him as you handed him a pencil.
“Oh, thanks,” he took it from you as you suddenly felt a bit empty when you realised you had given back something that belonged to him and you could no longer play with it between your fingers as you daydreamed about him. “You didn’t have to give it back,” he added.
“I don’t like keeping other people’s things,” you explained. “Are you done with your exams this season?”
“Nearly,” he chuckled as he pointed at the book in front of him. “I have this one exam but… It’s easy,” he shrugged his arms. “I don’t really have to study for it,” he explained.
“I am nearly done with my exams, too,” you said. “And at the end of the week, when everyone will be free, there’s this party,” you started and immediately regretted it. What were you even doing? You didn’t know him enough to invite him to the party that was not even yours. And you weren’t planning to go to that party anyway! Also, you didn’t want to make him think you were one of those girls that were going to parties… So, why did you say that? And now, you had to continue the subject. “My roommate’s boyfriend is throwing a party for the end of the exams season,” you explained. “He’s renting a whole pub for that. Are you coming?”
“No, I don’t think so,” Buck answered. “I don’t know Jack that well.”
“Oh, so you know it’s Jack,” you chuckled nervously.
“Everyone knows who he is and that he throws these parties,” Buck winked at you. “You’re going, I assume?”
Well, it would be stupid to tell him now that you actually were not planning to.
“I was thinking of that. Because I have never gone to one of his parties. And you know, you don’t really have to be invited. Jack always says that everyone’s welcome,” you added and then you looked down. You started to feel like you were bothering Gale Cleven and your attempts to continue this conversation were starting to get pathetic and desperate.
“I’m not really a big party guy, sorry,” Buck answered.
“I’m not really a big party girl either,” you shrugged your arms. “Well, sorry to bother you… Good luck on your exam!” You tried to fight the tears pricking your eyes as you turned around on your heel to walk away.
“(Y/N), wait,” Buck’s distressed voice made you turn around. He looked nervous all of sudden and sort of guilty, too. That made you furrow your brows. “If you decide not to go to that party… Maybe we could just go somewhere alone? Just the two of us, I mean. A walk in the park or a cafe,” he proposed. “I know it’s not as fun as Jack’s party but… Well, I appreciate your invitation. I really do,” he assured you.
“Oh, I… I think it sounds great!” You sniffed the tears back and gave him a smile. He sighed with relief and smiled back at you. “We can go for a cup of hot chocolate as they get drunk like animals,” you chuckled nervously and Buck nodded.
“Call me boring but that sounds so much better to me,” he admitted.
“That would make us both boring then,” you smiled. “So, on Friday? At six perhaps?”
“Friday at six,” Buck nodded. “Let’s meet outside by the monument.”
“Great! I will be there!” You promised before leaving the library, not believing your own happiness as you were smiling like an idiot to yourself.
Still, some part of you felt as if Buck had only asked you to go out with him because he was feeling guilty about the way he had treated your invitation to the party.
Tumblr media
Kathy regretted that you were not going to Jack’s party but she understood this time. At least on that night you were missing out on it because of some sort of a date and not like usual; when you had just been reading books or listening to the records alone in your room. She even helped you with your hair and make-up and she lent you her beautiful silk scarf to put around your neck. She also allowed you to use her expensive perfumes that had been a gift from Jack. You had never been so dolled up in your whole life. You hoped that Buck would appreciate that.
On the other hand, a guy as handsome as him… probably had been on real dates with real beauties before. As you were staring at yourself in the mirror for the one last time, you began to doubt yourself again. It was not a date… It was just a friendly meeting and he would never look at you in the same way you were looking at him. Those were the words of your tiny, ugly voice inside your head.
But you shook it off and hurried to the meeting spot since it was five to six. Buck was already there.
“Oh, my!” You greeted him. “I’m sorry I’m late.”
“You’re not late,” he glanced at the watch on his hand. “You’re just in time,” he smiled.
“Are you sure you want to go with me?” You asked, shyly.
“What do you mean? I was the one to ask you out, was I not?” Buck furrowed his brows.
“Yes… I know… But… I feel like you asked me out only because you thought I was sad about you not accepting the party invitation,” you admitted.
“I didn’t accept the invitation because I don’t like parties. But I don’t mind spending a nice evening with you,” Buck explained. “So, shall we go now? Or are you having second thoughts?”
“No, no, I don’t!” You protested and he chuckled. “Let’s go!” You said and he offered you his arm.
You walked to the cafe nearby the campus where they sold the best hot chocolate and tasty pastries. You asked Buck about his exams and he asked you about yours but your whole conversation was about college.
When you were sitting by the window and staring at people walking down the street in silence, waiting for your order, you began to start feeling uncomfortable. You felt the need to talk about something but you were scared of asking something offensive.
“I was wondering…” You started after taking a deep breath in. “There are a lot of rumours about you. And you don’t have to answer me that, you really don’t. But are they true?” You batted your eyelashes and he gave you a soft and kind of sad smile.
“Depends on what kind of rumours,” he nodded.
“Jack says you were a pilot…” You cleared your throat. “I’m sorry,” you mumbled as the waitress brought your cups and plates with croissants.
“Thank you,” Buck told her and nodded at her as she walked away. “No, don’t be sorry,” he addressed you again. “It’s true. Everything Jack says about me is true. After all, his father funds this school, does he not? He took a look into my papers.”
“He shouldn’t have done that,” you pointed out. “Jack is really nice but he’s nosy sometimes.”
“It’s fine. Funding such a place comes with privileges, I guess,” Buck shrugged his arms.
“You never talk about it,” you said and dared to lay your eyes on him again but he didn’t look annoyed at all. “There are a few guys here who served. And one girl that was in Europe, too. And they talk about it all the time.”
“I don’t want to be known as that guy who was in Europe and flew heavy bombers. Although, I guess it’s too late now,” Buck laughed nervously as he sipped on his hot chocolate. “And, you know, I really am no hero, no matter what Jack says. I flew a few missions and got shot down and then spent over a year in a camp,” he explained.
“Really, I’m sorry for bringing this up… We don’t have to talk about it,” you shook your head.
“I was scared you listened to the other gossip about me, you know,” he teased but you had no idea what he was talking about. “Some guy around campus says that I’m a hiding serial killer from the South.”
“Now, that is ridiculous,” you rolled your eyes.
“I know but my scars seem to convince a few people,” he whispered and blushed.
“Those people are full of shit then!” You snapped and then you froze, realising what you had just said. Your eyes widened out of terror and you felt your cheeks heating up as Buck chuckled. “Oh God, I’m terribly sorry! I shouldn’t have said that…”
“Don’t be sorry, love. Do you think I don’t know that women use such language, too?” He smirked at you and you sighed with relief but the little voice in your head kept convincing you that you had just ruined all your chances with that man. “The nurses in the base in England… They cursed like sailors, some of them. They were cussing us out for not being careful enough. And they were the bravest and loveliest women I have known,” he assured you.
“Have you dated any of them?” You asked and you bit yourself on your tongue. Why did you keep embarrassing yourself like that? Dear God, you were awful!
“No, I have not,” Buck answered with a smile and a shake of his head. “I focused on my job.”
“Like I am focusing on my studies now,” you nodded. “It’s important for me to get that degree. I believe women should have easier access to education and, you know, maybe one day I’ll end up like most of them… As a housewife and a mother… I don’t mind. But at least I will have that degree,” you explained.
“Yes, I agree that women should have easier access to education,” Buck agreed with you. “Everyone, in that matter.”
“Yes, of course,” you nodded. “By the way, don’t listen to those awful people. Your scars only prove your bravery,” you pointed out and he blushed again.
“Really, no bravery to talk about. I just did my job,” he laughed nervously.
“You might be humble about it but it won’t change my mind,” you insisted.
“So, what do you do in your free time when you’re not studying, darling?” Buck changed the topic nonchalantly and your eyes sparkled at the way he addressed you.
“I listen to music and I read books. I journal, too. Sometimes I go to the movies,” you answered.
“I like the movies, too. We should go together sometime,” he proposed and you smiled widely at him. “I take that as a yes,” he chuckled.
“Have you seen Gilda?” You asked, carefully.
“No, not yet. But I’ve heard it’s a nice movie,” Buck answered.
“Oh, it’s amazing. I have seen it a few times! I would love us to go see it together,” you proposed.
“But you can’t spoil me anything,” Buck teased and you pretended to zip your mouth with your fingers. “Good,” he nodded with a smile.
You continued to talk about the movies and some music, avoiding the subject of the war since you felt as if you had already pushed too far with that before. Around eight, Buck said it would be best for you both to go back, so he helped you to put your coat back on like a real gentleman and even complimented on your perfumes as you were walking out of the cafe.
“They’re not really mine,” you admitted, not wanting to lie to him. “Kathy allowed me to use hers. They were a gift from Jack and had to cost a fortune,” you confessed with a giggle.
“I’m sure your perfumes are just as nice,” Buck assured you and took you by your arm as you began walking back to the campus.
You kept talking about silly things until you found yourselves by the front door leading to the female dormitory. You stood there, facing each other a little awkwardly. And when you were about to tell him goodnight and turn around to go inside, he slowly leaned in to cup your face in his hands. Watching your reaction carefully, Buck joined your lips together in a sweet and delicate kiss. Your heart pounded so fast, you were afraid it would explode any given moment.
When he broke the kiss, you batted your eyelashes at him with a huge smile, warm cheeks and sparkles in your excited eyes.
“I’m sorry,” he muttered. “It’s been a long time since I’ve been out with someone and I couldn’t wait to kiss you,” he admitted.
“Don’t be sorry, Gale,” you whispered, feeling a little overwhelmed and not being able to believe what had just happened.
“I know you don’t want this sort of thing to distract you from your studies,” he took a step back.
“As if Mr. I-don’t-like-parties could ever distract me,” you chuckled, making him blush. You held his hands and squeezed them. “Anyway, you’ve been distracting me already from the moment you showed up on the campus,” you admitted and bit on your lower lip.
“Oh, thank God,” Buck laughed. “I was scared you’d admit I was right and it would be best for us to stop seeing each other.”
“You promised me the cinema date,” you pouted. “Let’s have at least that before I call it quits.”
“Well, I’ll do my best for you not to call it quits,” Buck leaned in again to place another soft kiss upon your lips.
The thing that made you break the kiss this time was a loud noise from afar, coming from the pub where Jack’s party was taking place. The sound of shattering glass and people’s laughter startled you both.
“I am so glad we didn’t go there,” you admitted. “Hot chocolate is so much nicer than that.”
“It was good,” Buck winked at you, “but I wish it was as sweet as you, love,” he breathed out and gave you yet one more kiss as your cheeks heated up and you placed your hands flat on his chest.

Day 12: Time Travel
“Sooooo Phantom, do ya have any siblings?” Kid Flash asked as he tried to make small talk with the newest recruit to the team.
A few days ago, Young Justice was called to a meeting by Batman where he introduced their new team mate, Phantom. Phantom was a tough looking dude, he was jacked and towered over them all, even Conner!
Batman didn’t give them much information about the guy but apparently John Constentine was the one who suggested him for the team since he needed “community service hours”.
The dude was currently drinking some soda next to the computer as Red Robin searched for any new info on their latest mission. He turned his attention away from the can, and stared at Wally, his red eyes piercing into his soul.
“Why?”
“Well we are all about to go on a mission together and none of us really know you so I think it’d be best if we all got to know you better,” that was half true. Mostly Wally was just being nosey, but the dude really did make everyone nervous since he was this really tough dude with blood red eyes and apparently was here because John Constentine said he needed community service hours???? Constentine typically say some wild shit, but what the fuck do you mean by community service? Wally knows you can’t use those for school, he’s tried, and what else gave you community service? Juvie and prison!!
Phantom stared at him hard for a few seconds, his eyes searing into the back of Wally’s skull before saying, “Okay fine”.
The answer surprised everyone in the room, I mean the guy had barely even spoken the last few days and had rejected every question about his personal life.
“Depending on how you see it, I have 2 to 4 siblings”
“Is your father a serial adopter too?” Tim joked.
“Yes and no”
“Huh?”
“It’s pretty complicated,” Phantom shrugged, seemingly deciding to end the conversation there and taking another swig of his drink.
However, Tim, out of annoyances of every attempt to get to know this jerk being thwarted and a bit of confidence his family was more complicated, decided to challenge Phantom’s statement.
“Ehh, it probably isn’t as complicated as my family, we got about 50 more siblings adopted each month, all with lots much trauma”
At this, Phantom narrowed his eyes at Tim.
“I see what your doing, your trying to get me to talk tell you guy more about my family by acting like yours are more insane”
“Am I?” Tim asked, trying to hide the shivers going down his spine from the way Phantom was staring at him.
Phantom to a huge swig of his soda, emptying it and throwing it into the garbage, before fully turning to Tim.
“You’re lucky I am always good for competitions, now sit down this is going to take a bit”
Tim gladly obliged and soon everyone sat around Phantom as if it were storytime in kindergarten.
“Okay, so at first I only had an older sister and my parents” Phantom began, “but then they died because of a mistake I made and I had to move in with my evil godfather”
Megan raised her hand and asked, “Isn’t a godfather someone who is very close to the family? Why would your parents choose an evil person?”
“‘Cause my dad was oblivious to this and though they were good friends even though the dudes tried to kill him multiple times”
“I see,” Megan lowered her hand, no less confused.
“There I went mad with grief and had him remove my humanity and tried to kill all of humanity”
“I think that was a bit of an overreaction,” Wally joked.
“You tried to kill all of humanity? Why weren’t we told of this when it happened?” Kaldur'ahm asked.
“That was in a different timeline, I was a big enough problem that they gods tried to kill the younger version of me to stop me, so to avoid dying, my younger version decide to try to defeat me and the only reason he did was cause I was underestimating him,” Phantom emphasized the last part because he had to stress he didn’t not lose to a 15 year old boy because he was weaker than him.
“What happened next?,” Artemis asked, completely inraptured in the story.
“I was then imprisoned for sometime before escaping, causing problems and then realizing that causing younger mean the same pain I experienced won't bring my loved ones back,” Phantom continued to explain, “so I am now going to therapy, doing community service, and got the majority of my powers taken away”.
“Is your therapist open to seeing new patients?” Konner asked.
“No, but this timelines version of my sister is and she has a lot of experience so I can give you her number instead”
“Sure, that’ll work”
“Okay,” Phantom said before writing her number down and handing it to Konner, “The thing is I can’t go back to living with my real parents because they don’t know that I am Phantom so I have to go back to living this timelines version of my godfather”
“You gotta be kidding me” Tim groans.
“Exactly what I said!!” Phantom put his arm up defensively, “Fortunately, this version is a little better, he is no longer tiring to kill my dad and has stopped chasing after my mom, he did clone the other of me and now there is a genderbent version of him but my godfather treats her like a princess and will not stop spoiling her, which I am also guilty of”
Phantoms continues to explain more and in the back of Tim's mind he remembers he was supposed to be doing something but honestly this conversation was too good to care.
“Anyways that's how I technically have 2 to 4 siblings, Jazz and Elle are permanently my sisters and I love them so much, and even though the other Jazz is technically the same as this Jazz, I still think of her as someone else, someone I miss dearly. Also if I considered this Jazz my sister, I guess I’d have to considered the other me as my brother”
“Damn bitch your family is crazy” Wally said, happy he finally managed to get through Phantom’s tough skin.
As they finished up their storytime, the Zeta-tubes activated and Red Tornado and an upset looking Batman walked to the group.
“You all were supposed to leave thirty minutes ago”

Tumblr media
In the fluorescent-lit aisles of the grocery store, Dieter shuffles worn and tired along, in what can only be described as, his most comfortable attire - a stretched t-shirt and a pair of patterned pyjama pants hanging low and loose, finished with a green untied robe and crocs.
He intends for this grocery run to be a quick late-night snack grab, something to satisfy the munchies from smoking blunts in the pool all day, but as he scans the shelves, his eyes land on a display of space-themed cereals.
He reaches for a box labelled Star Bitz, containing frosted star shapes. Opening the box and plastic liner, he reaches in and takes a handful, crunching them around his teeth and groans uncouthly in delight at the sugar rush.
It elicits a curious look from you further down the aisle, mid-shop and looking just as dishevelled, having gotten off a long shift.
The man greets you with a mischievous grin, sizing you up with his sleepy eyes.
"Uh, hi," Dieter manages, straightening up a little. “Don’t worry, I’m going to pay.”
“I’m not worried,” you assure.
“You want some?” He offers out the box to you, smirking. You reach in when he shakes the box and tempts you further.
"Do you believe in aliens?" Dieter asks, licking round his teeth.
“I’m sorry?” You remark, trying to process the unexpected question.
He points a ringed index finger at your chest. “Your shirt.”
You look down at the tee with a cartoon alien faded across it and arch an eyebrow, your gaze flickering between the man’s pyjama pants and the box of cereal he so casually munches in his hand.
"Well, I've never met one personally,” you say.
Dieter chuckles. "There’s a conspiracy about lizard people secretly running the government.”
“It’s not a conspiracy. They’re all reptiles.” You confirm.
He snorts in appreciation, large hands rummaging in the box and tossing more frosty stars in his mouth.
"So, do you always go grocery shopping in your pyjamas?" You query, a twinkle in your eyes.
Despite his unkempt appearance, there’s something rather appealing about him. A scruffy, tired attractiveness around tan skin, pink puffy eyes and wild, greying curls.
Dieter grins, feeling a flush rise to his cheeks. "Only when I'm in dire need of snacks and comfort."
You simply nod and glance back at the shelves with your arm looped through your basket.
“You don’t know who I am, do you?” He questions as he watches your nonchalance whilst you inspect ingredient labels.
“Should I?”
“No. I'm nobody really.”
You watch as he lingers behind you as you move up the aisle.
“Escaped mental patient?” You query with a smirk.
He shakes his head. “I’m straight edge. Promise.”
You pick up milk and some other essentials, and Dieter audibly tuts when you chuck a few instant meals for one in the basket.
“What?” You ask with mirth.
“Watch your sodium intake.”
“I think I’ll fare much better than the amount of sugar in that box…” you nod to the cereal he’s still eating.
Chuckling, he continues to talk to you, following you down the aisles until your basket is full and you both head towards the checkout.
"Hey, um, do you maybe wanna grab a bite to eat?" He blurts out, his heart pounding in his chest.
You smile as he dumps his open box of cereal on the conveyor belt behind your shopping.
"I'd love to. But only if you promise to wear your pyjamas." You say, eyeing his comfy attire.
Dieter grins, feeling a surge of excitement. "How about now?”
“Sure.” You smile.
He pays for the cereal, leaving the cashier eyeing him with a flicker of recognition, when he puts his finger to his lips and snickers, following you out the automatic doors.
Once at your car, you watch as Dieter sits on the bonnet and taps for you to join him. He takes the milk out of your grocery bag, unscrews it and pours some over the cereal.
You laugh when he simply pulls a spoon out from one of his gown pockets.
“You always carry that around with you?”
“Never know when you might need one.” He shrugs.
“You’re very odd.” You smile as you dip into the cereal box.
“I’ve been called worse.” Dieter remarks. He looks up at the dark sky and sighs.
The cool night air wraps around you both, carrying the faint scent of gasoline and asphalt.
"So, space," you say, your eyes scanning the star-studded sky above. "What's your take on it?"
Dieter leans back against the car, gazing up at the vast expanse of darkness dotted with pinpricks of light.
"It's... mind-blowing, you know? The sheer size of it all. It hurts my head to think about it.” He pauses and frowns. “You ever wish you could be insignificant?"
“I already am.” You smile, handing him the cereal.
He scoffs looking at you, a gold hoop in his ear glimmers, catching the light from a car pulling into the parking lot.
“Can I kiss you?” He asks softly.
You baulk. “You want to kiss me? I don’t even know your name or where you’re from…”
“Dieter. Sherman Oaks. So, can I kiss you now?” He says, scratching under his chin. A patchy beard and moustache lines his jaw and upper lip, and you’re drawn to it, wondering if it’ll feel soft or scratchy.
“Well, odd Dieter from Sherman Oaks, you can kiss me. On one condition.”
“Always a catch…”
You plonk the box of cereal on the ground, shuffling closer as he sits up.
“You’ll like this catch.”
“Will I?” He smirks as you lean in, grabbing the lapels of his soft corduroy gown. He smells faintly herbal and minty.
“You promise that once you kiss me, you won’t stop.”
Dieter bites his lip, his eyes dropping to yours and then back up to your eyes again.
“I promise.” He confirms, smiling, as your lips brush together, both moaning into each other’s mouths.

ISAT BAD END THEATER AU NOTES/SUMMARY (MAJOR FULLGAME SPOILERS FOR BOTH BAD END THEATER, AND ISAT/ SASASAP) After a long time brainstorming with friends I present to you.. “THE BAD TIME THEATER AU”!
This au is mainly created by me and @coffeewolf54 / @coffeewolfart together! This is not a exact 1-1 au and will def have some unique stuff in here to better match the themes of isat and bad end theater!
I’ve talked about this Au with a lot of my friends on discord ( thank you @felikatze @daily-odile @tealgoat and everyone else who decided to draw art for /listen to me ramble about me and coffee’s au.)
Tumblr media
The general gist of the story and everyone’s roles are under the cut:
|Welcome one and all esteemed guests to THE BAD TIME THEATER! A place home to many tragic tales on display for the world to see.|
|I am “TRAGEDY”- (aka the Playwright and Narrator). Alongside me is “COMEDY”- (aka The Director) to help showcase what our theatre has to offer to you all. |
|The premise is simple: You can choose between one of four actors to see their stories and it is our job to show you their fates! Don’t fret if you are unsatisfied with a particular ending, my dear Stardust and I can reset the stage anew! That being said every path often leads to tragic ends..but ah, what else can you expect from a place like this? |
|Even still..even now I wonder.. if this unlucky cast can be saved…|
|…Oh well. We should move on now~!|
|Without further ado… let’s meet the main cast! |
[ISABEAU: “THE HERO”] - A human. His role is the courageous defender that was appointed by the King himself with slaying monsters and protecting people. He is good friends with the Maiden and has been over the years questioning their role that’s been given to him. The Hero is fairly certain that he has never met any demons before personally but very adamant in the belief that not all demons would want to hurt others. (Though if he were being completely truthful he’d much rather be a fashion designer then have to fight anyone. )
{ MIRABELLE: “THE MAIDEN”} - A human. Her role is the faithful maiden who’s meant to passively fulfill her destiny of being martyr lest the town supposedly be at risk from being attacked or killed by evil monsters. She is good friends with the Hero and tries her best to be a devout follower. A huge fan of stories and curious to see if demons are anything like the tales she’s read in her books. ( Though if she were being honest… she has some doubts about her role in life and wants to take action. )
< ODILE: “THE OVERLORD”> - A half demon (half human). Her role is the (seemingly) cold and pragmatic ruler of the demons, gaining the title after her father recently passed away. She is described by other people as standoffish, she seems to have taken in the Underling and their older sister under her protection. Wary of humans and tends to lean towards keeping her subjects safe by having very little interactions with them. ( Though if she were to tell the truth, she admits to wanting to have a world where demons and humans can coexist peacefully.)
( BONNIE: “THE UNDERLING”) - A demon. Their role is to serve the Overlord and was tasked to help by providing support to their people by creating food for everyone. The underling and their older sister got saved by the overlord a long time ago- so they’ve been really loyal to her ever since then. ( Though if they were being honest, they want to help protect everyone like the Overlord does and not be forced to stay on the sidelines.)
and last but not least we have…
<̶̨̬͕̬̼̼̜̋̇ͅ|̶̧̢̧̛̻̘̱̲̠̓͆̒̓ ̵̰̤̦̥̰͒̾̌͗͗͋“̷̧̼̘̼̻̂́͜ͅT̵̡̤̳̯͍͓̅͂̌̋̅͒ͅḨ̵̡̱̺͍̰̞̅̆̎̀͜Ė̸̹̜͇̬̥̇͋̾̈́ ̶̺̭̀̅̅̀̍̊T̷̹̭̝̺̝̳̊R̶̗̱̹̙̍A̴̻͇̎̀̐̾̊̆̽͑V̴͚̫̦͚̅͂̈́̎͘͝E̴̦͋̈́̿̈́̑L̸̪̼̗̀̾̒͊̍͛Ĺ̸̮Ȩ̵̹͓̻͖̹̝̍͝ͅR̷̼̬̤̖̭͉̀̈̌͊̀͜͝”̸͎̘͆͊͜͝|̵̩͙͚̱̎̅͝>̶̳̬͙̫̘͈̆͐̍̓́̇͝- [??????? ERROR 404 DATA NOT FOUND]
|Huh? Oh my. Well, it seems like there’s been a mistake there! Pay no mind to that dear audience! We hope that you grow to love our actors as much as we do~! Let’s get the show on the road Stardust, we can’t keep our dear audience waiting any longer! |

The Owl’s Sweet Judgment - Matias
Tumblr media
An “If you were lovers” story. As usual, can’t guarantee 100% accuracy on this
If Prince Matias and I were lovers…
Matias: So this is your home…
After having a fun date with him while he visited Rhodolite, I dragged Prince Matias to my house.
While he was distracted by my room, I locked the door and peeked out the window.
(No one’s following us. That’s good…)
Tumblr media
Matias: A woman’s room should smell nice. ……Ahhhh, it’s better than I imagined.
(Just what were you imagining…You know what, let’s not think about that)
Emma: Since you’re here, I’ll go prepare some tea.
Matias: I’ll help.
Emma: No, don’t worry about it. I’m the one who dragged you to my home.
Matias: I see... Then I’ll take you up on the offer.
Even though I was treating him, Prince Matias followed me to the kitchen.
It was like he didn’t even think about making himself at home, and his earnestness had me smiling.
Emma: As you might expect, this is rose tea.
Matias: Rhodolite even uses roses for tea? You’re very consistent.
Emma: We’re the Country of Roses. It’s delicious.
(I’ve never seen it in Achroite so I’m sure this is the first time Prince Matias has been offered this drink)
After retrieving the tea set from the shelf, I started preparing the tea.
Meanwhile, Prince Matias just stood and watched.
Emma: …Isn’t this boring?
Matias: Not at all.Your every movement has my interest. Moreover, should you spill the tea and stain your clothes, I’ll need to take action. Or perhaps you’ll need my help retrieving equipment from a high place. I’ve fantasized about such situations happening and I’m confident in my ability to deal with those incidents.
Emma: That’s promising.
(...Just how many ideas unfold in Prince Matias’ mind?)
There were 100 questions I could’ve asked, but I kept them to myself.
Matias: By the way, why did you invite me to your home? That wasn’t part of our plans…
Emma: I’m sorry…There wasn’t a particular reason, I just suddenly felt like wanting you all to myself.
Matias: You always have me. I only have eyes for you.
Emma: I don’t want to get too greedy.
(Prince Matias really hasn’t noticed)
While we were walking around town, all the women we passed by would turn and look at Prince Matias.
They were like butterflies lured by sweet nectar—
It seemed like the tremendous amount of charm Prince Matias unconsciously gave off affected women left and right.
(I had no choice but to escape because his charm was turned up more than usual)
I didn’t want other women to share the same experience of having my heart race and body heating up, and feeling charmed just by being around him.
That selfish pettiness what brought us to our current situation.
(...I lied, but I don’t want him to know my true feelings)
Matias: …Sorry.
I took out the necessary amount of tea leaves and was about to put the jar back on the shelf when Prince Matias, who was standing beside me, grabbed my hand.
Matias: I always thought I was focusing my efforts on conveying my love, but… I guess I haven’t been doing enough to make you greedy for me.
Matias pressed his lips on the back of my hand and his sex appeal was unleashed with a bang.
(And here I was thinking about going outside again when this overflowing sex appeal settled down)
He nipped at my index finger and the charm increased in proportion to my racing heartbeat.
(This is dangerous…Very dangerous!)
Emma: Prince Matias, you show your love well…Really well.
Matias: Is that so? I was considering unleashing the rest.
(The rest?! This wasn’t all?!)
Emma: Don’t do that or I’ll die!
Matias: Wha…You’ll die?!
Emma: That’s right, people die when they get too excited!
(I haven’t actually heard about that being a cause of death, but…!)\
It wasn’t a lie, and it could happen if Prince Matias’s villainous sex appeal grew stronger.
Matias: Is that so? I wasn’t aware. I need to show how I love you without making you worry…That’s truly a challenge.
(I’m sorry, Prince Matias)
Instead of apologizing, I wrapped my arms around Prince Matias’ waist and hugged him.
Since he was a former soldier, it was obvious his body was well-trained, even with all those clothes.
Tumblr media
Matias: Can I hug you back?
Emma: Of course.
When I nodded, Prince Matias gently wrapped his arm around me as if holding a fragile item.
Matias: You’re still so small… But I think you’re hiding something in this small body of yours.
Emma: Huh?
Matias: What exactly are you hiding?
Emma: I’m not h-hiding anything—
As I looked away, Prince Matias played with my hair.
Matias: Since we entered your house, you’ve been acting suspicious and haven’t stopped looking around. That’s usually how liars react.
Emma: …
Matias: If you’ve been lying in any way, then you’d be guilty of fraud. Are you really not hiding anything from me?
He placed kisses on the ends of my hair and I got dizzy from the sensuality that reaped my sanity.
(It’s not good…I can’t hide it)
(I wasn’t planning on saying anything…)
Emma: …I really want to have you all to myself. I couldn’t stand the suggestive looks you got from the people we passed by…
Matias: That happened?
Emma: It did.
Matias: Is that so? I didn’t notice. I was only looking at you.
(This guy…)
Matias: No wonder you’ve been acting strange the whole day.
Emma: …Are you disgusted?
Matias: Why would I?
Emma: I thought I was acting petty…
Matias: Really? If you call that being petty then I’d like you to be more petty. So much that there’s no place for anyone but me.
Emma: Prince Matias…
It was like that sincere smile before me saved me.
Matias: …However, fraud is fraud.
Emma: Huh?
Matias: You lied by hiding your true feelings, didn’t you? I’m the Guardian of Law…Therefore I need to punish you impartially.
Sweet, dewy eyes the color of shadow on snow, completely different from those aimed at criminals, approached and I closed my eyes.
The sensation of the savory kiss and feeling of his palms caressing my waist added on to the suffocating charm.
(...I’m going to melt like ice)
Matias held me up as I was about to collapse.
The wet sensation on my lips raised my body heat a bit more.
Emma: It’s a punishment…but it’s very sweet.
Tumblr media
Matias: You’re special.
(Ah…I’m feeling more intolerant)
(With Prince Matias, there’s no limits…)
It doesn’t seem like we’ll be leaving my house any time soon because of the Guardian of Law’s sweet judgment.

“Unbelievable,” you muttered to yourself, scratching at Alpine’s head with one hand while holding your phone with the other, your eyes skimming the lines. “Seriously…”
Bucky sipped his coffee. “Care to share with the class, Charm?”
You heaved a sigh and shot him a look, holding up the phone so that he could see the screen.
“Clint leaves the city for a couple of days and HYDRA immediately attacks his territory?” you asked and Bucky hummed.
“I mean he had his people covering it,” he said. “Just because he wasn’t here, doesn’t mean it was open to any attack.”
“Which makes it worse,” you told him with a sigh, then reached out for the jar of peanut butter to dip a spoon into it. “How many sources do these guys have?”
“That’s what we’re trying to find out,” Bucky said, reaching out to run his fingers through Alpine’s soft fur as she meowed at him. “You’re coming to the club tonight, right?”
“Wouldn’t miss it.” Your phone buzzed in your hand and you took a look at the notification, then licked your lips.
“Buck.”
“Hm?”
“So you know how our therapist said open communication is very important?”
“I don’t trust the therapist.”
“Shocking,” you deadpanned. “Anyway, I’m meeting Ethan today for lunch.”
Bucky let out a groan before he threw his head back. “Charm…”
“This is me openly communicating.”
“This is you throwing a knife at me and calling it communication,” Bucky corrected you, making your jaw drop.
“It’s not!”
“I will ask this question once again; why are you meeting your ex who wants to fuck you?”
“That’s not—I know the idea isn’t familiar to you, but some people can be friends with their exes.”
“So it’d be fine if I met up with one of my exes for lunch?” he asked and you shrugged your shoulders, trying to ignore the unpleasant flip your stomach did.
“If you can find an ex who doesn’t want to kill you?” you said. “Go ahead.”
He scoffed. “Not all of them hate me.”
“Is the ex who doesn’t hate you in the room with us right now?” you asked back and he made a face.
“I don’t know who fed you those lies, I’m guessing Becca—”
“Becca is very objective when it comes to your exes,” you pointed out. “And how terrible you are in relationships.”
“I’m not terrible in relationships.”
“Did you stay friends with any of your exes?”
“Yeah!”
“Give me a name.”
He blinked a couple of times and cleared his throat. “…Dot.”
“Dot hates your guts, Buck.”
“You don’t know that.”
“I know she dumped you,” you said and Bucky clicked his tongue.
“It was a mutual decision.”
“It really wasn’t,” you said. “You do realize that I’ve been best friends with your sister since I was in kindergarten? I know everything about your terrible relationships.”
“To repeat, they’re not—don’t change the subject,” he said as you sipped your coffee. “Your ex?”
“My ex does not want to kill me like your exes or fuck me like you seem to think.”
“Oh he wants to marry you then?” he asked and even though you knew he was being sarcastic, your stomach did a flip. “Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, I beat him to it.”
You clicked your tongue as you dipped your spoon in the peanut butter jar again.
“As much as I enjoy you referring to me like I’m the last piece of cake,” you deadpanned. “I will make sure both your dick and you regret it the next time you do that.”
He blinked a couple of times and you gave him a bright grin, then popped the spoon into your mouth, then pulled it out to point at him with it.
“See?” you asked him. “Open communication. Therapy works wonderfully for this relationship.”
                                                  *
“Tell me I didn’t make you wait for long,” Ethan said as he rushed into the café and you let out a laugh, then stood up to kiss his cheek.
“I just got here, no worries,” you said. “Ordered your coffee though.”
“You know my coffee order?”
“Yeah,” you said and made a face at him. “Terrible order but yeah. Burned into my mind.”
That made him smile as he sat down.
“I’m so sorry,” he said. “I was going to come sooner but—”
“Let me guess, your boss?”
“One of these days, that man will get in an accident that I’ve been hoping and praying for,” he told you, making you laugh.
“That’s doable,” you said. “I told you before.”
He heaved a sigh. “Stop. Right now, I feel like taking you up on that offer.”
“You can.”
He frowned, then shook his head.
“No no,” he said. “I’ve watched too many movies about this.”
“I’m not going to put a horse head in your bed, Ethan.”
“No, not that!” he said, letting out a chuckle. “Power corrupts.”
You shrugged again. “Nah it doesn’t.”
“It would corrupt me,” he told you as the waitress brought your coffees. “How about you? How’s uh…how’s marriage?”
Your eyes snapped to his and you cleared your throat, shifting in your seat.
“Ethan, if it’s going to lead to yet another—”
“It won’t,” he cut you off and offered you a small smile. “Don’t worry. I got the message.”
A silence fell upon you. You could feel your stomach doing a flip at the implication of what he had said and even though you actually wanted to talk about it, you knew you couldn’t.
Now to think of it…
You weren’t sure if you could even get together with him after your divorce. The idea was tempting yes, but you weren’t sure he could handle the life the job brought with it. While you and Bucky could torture an agent of HYDRA and then get takeout afterwards, doing the same wasn’t possible with Ethan and—
Strangely enough, you found yourself wondering whether you could still do it with Bucky after you two would get a divorce.
“Y/N?”
Your head shot up and you cleared your throat, then smiled at him.
“Sorry,” you said. “Blanked out for a second. You were saying?”
                                                   *
Opening night of a club, especially if it was in Barnes, Wilson or Rogers territories, was always so much fun that even when you were teenagers, you and Becca would sneak into them, most of the time to get caught by Steve. Now that you were a grown up, you still enjoyed them but you also knew what was happening in the background.
It was the perfect time to make deals.
The crowd, the music, the alcohol, it all served its purpose to make better deals without getting the weapons or threats involved. Not to mention, getting invited to the opening night showed respect to whoever was a part of any negotiation.
You took a sip of your drink and leaned back on the sofa, keeping your eyes on Mr. Clifford. He was one of the new players in town, but powerful enough to be invited to your -well, Bucky’s- VIP booth tonight. If this deal worked, he could make the shipments to your territory much smoother but the problem was, neither you nor Bucky could decide whether you could trust him or not.
He had good references, but he was still sort of a mystery.
“I wasn’t aware you would be here as well, Mrs. Barnes,” Mr. Clifford said. “So the word on the street is true?”
“What word?” you asked and he smiled.
“That you’re…not just a guest?”
Bucky raised his brows and shot you a small grin while you shrugged your shoulders.
“No, I’m not.”
“She’s the only one I trust,” Bucky said and you smirked, reaching out to hold his hand. Mr. Clifford nodded.
“I see,” he said. “And um—if you don’t mind me ask, will it affect any deals I may make with your father?”
“You will have to ask my father that,” you said. “I hear he’s not open to any new deals but you can try your chances.”
He hummed. “And his heir, Ian?”
Your jaw clenched but you managed to keep your expression flat while Bucky squeezed your hand as if trying to assure you.
“Ian hasn’t been named yet,” he said. “And either way, if you’re making deals with heirs, I may have to rethink my decision to do business with you. Are you that much of an amateur?”
“Bucky.”
“No, I’m not going to do business with him if he’s making deals with people who can’t sit at the grown-ups table.”
“I assure you, that’s not the case,” Mr. Clifford said. “I was just voicing my curiosity, that’s all.”
You downed your drink and leaned in to whisper into Bucky’s ear.
“I’ll be right back,” you said. “Don’t shoot him?”
“No promises,” he murmured and you tried to bite back your smile, then grabbed your purse and stood up to make your way through the dance floor to the bathroom. When you stepped out again, your eyes fell upon Ryan who was by the bar and you smiled to yourself, then approached the bar as well.
“I think you’re the only person who drinks water at a club opening,” you said, making him turn his head and he blinked a couple of times as if he was surprised to see you, then looked down at the glass in his hand.
“Ma’am,” he said, taking a sip of his water and you tilted your head.
“Let me guess,” you said. “Ian told you to be completely sober just in case?”
“It’s my idea, ma’am.”
“Where’s he?”
“In the VIP room there,” he motioned at the closest room and you pulled your brows together.
“And he sent you away?”
Ryan sipped his drink in silence and you heaved a sigh.
“Does he know that keeping his right arm out of deals is a terrible idea?”
“I’m just his bodyguard ma’am, nothing more.”
You pursed your lips together and cleared your throat.
“You might as well dance with someone, you know,” you joked. “If he’s going to be there alone, no need for you to get bored.”
The look of complete terror on his face at the suggestion was almost funny. He was a huge guy, and you were pretty sure he could crush someone’s skull with his bare hands if he wanted to, but he looked absolutely terrified at the idea of dancing with someone at the club.
“I’m a great wing-woman,” you told him, making him blink a couple of times. “Anyone caught your attention?”
“Ma’am I—I wouldn’t—” he stammered and you waved a hand in the air.
“And how many times should I tell you to call me Y/N?” you asked and he licked his lips, staring at you.
“I don’t mean disrespect.”
“I don’t think it’s disrespect,” you told him and out of the corner of your eye, you saw the waiter leaving your VIP room mutter something at one of Clifford’s bodyguards by the door before walking away. You frowned.
“Excuse me,” you said as you made your way to the fire exit the waiter walked into. You looked over your shoulder and pulled the small pistol out of your purse, then pushed open the door quietly to step into the hallway.
The waiter was too busy to notice your presence as he pulled a gun out of the cleaning bucket in front of him, but he froze when he heard the sound of you cocking the gun.
“Hi,” you said and he gritted his teeth, raising his hands. “Put the gun down.”
He slowly put the gun down and you smiled.
“There you go,” you said. “Good boy.”
“What are you doing?” he asked as he turned to you and you shrugged your shoulders.
“I mean I’m trying to enjoy my night to be honest but…”
“Just walk away.”
You scoffed.
“Right,” you said. “That’s gonna happen.”
“If you walk away now, you’ll benefit from it,” he said. “Mr. Clifford says if Barnes dies, you could take over his territory, his business. It’ll be your right.”
You rolled your eyes.
“Well yeah but also if Bucky dies, I’ll have to wear black and I can’t really pull off black dresses,” you said. “Becca says it has something to do with my undertone—”
You didn’t get to finish your sentence when he lunged to throw a punch at you but you caught his hand and twisted it, making him cry out in pain. You headbutted him right in the nose, hearing the crack of the bone before you grabbed the bigger pistol on the floor to slam it against his head, causing him to drop to the floor unconscious.
“This night is getting more and more fun,” you murmured as you shook your head, then pushed your pistol back into your purse. You made your way to the door again to open it, then approached Ryan to tap him on the shoulder.
“Can I borrow you for a moment?” you asked and turned around without waiting for him to answer, but he followed you anyway until you got to the hallway and opened the door. Ryan grabbed his gun from his waistband the moment he saw the unconscious guy lying on the floor, then turned to you.
“Ma’am, are you alright?” he asked, stepping into the hallway with his gun ready as if he was checking for any threats. “Did he hurt you?”
“Not at all,” you said. “Keep an eye on him until I get back.”
His back straightened immediately like he was a soldier and you were his commander. “Yes ma’am.”
“And if Ian says anything,” you said. “This happened in Barnes territory, he’s our hostage. No one else’s.”
“Yes ma’am.”
You nodded your head and took a step to the door, then turned around.
“And thank you, Ryan,” you said, making him pull his brows together in confusion as if he wasn’t used to hearing it. “I appreciate it.”
He swallowed thickly, then nodded.
“Ma’am,” he said and you pushed open the door, then made your way to the VIP room Bucky was in.
“As I was saying, our price isn’t…” Clifford stopped talking when he saw you walk inside. “Ah Mrs. Barnes, welcome back.”
You shot him a fake smile, then leaned in closer to Bucky so that you could whisper into his ear.
“He’s trying to kill you.”
Bucky’s gaze snapped to yours when you pulled back and he heaved a sigh as if he was exhausted, then ran a hand over his eyes.
“Great,” he muttered. “Do you want to stay and watch, sweetheart?”
You thought for a moment, then shook your head.
“I got one of his men, I’ll be by the fire exit,” you murmured. “Come there when you’re done?”
“Sure thing.”
“What’s going on?” Clifford asked and you turned to shoot him a glare before pecking Bucky on the cheek.
“Have fun!”
“I will,” Bucky said and motioned at one of the bodyguards. “Paul, escort my wife to where she’s going.”
“Yes Mr. Barnes.”
“And Hannah,” Bucky’s voice was completely calm. “Lock the room down.”
“Mr. Barnes, please—” Clifford’s voice was cut off when the door shut behind you and Bucky’s bodyguards started dragging Clifford’s men away while you turned to Paul with a sigh.
“How fucking rude, right?”
“Ma’am?”
“I mean honestly…” you muttered while you walked to the fire exit with Paul following you. “Sending an amateur to kill him? People today have no manners.”

You keep your books tucked firmly to your chest as you walk into your first class, wearing the spare clothes you brought to Sejanus's house on Friday just in case you had to change. In case you spilled something on your white dress, or just felt the need to change- ironically enough.
Your normal seat in the front centre of the room is obviously free, considering also that you were quite early this morning. You had some readings you needed to catch up on anyway, in order to be prepared for midterms which were apparently coming up quickly.
It isn't long after you open your book before others begin to shuffle in, and much to your surprise, you feel the chair next to you pull back and see someone sit down. "Hi, Victor." The boy's voice says, forcing you to look up from your book.
Dark hair and dark eyes, you think you remember his name was Cancor. "Oh, my name is Y/N." You correct him kindly, adjusting nervously in your seat.
"I know that." He says, eyes merely slits as he seems to look past your own eyes and into your soul.
"You're... You're Cancor, correct? I don't believe we've properly met." You add, sitting up straighter.
"Crane." He states. "My last name is Crane."
"That's... yes that's a lovely name." You smile nervously, unsure what to say but still wanting to fill the silence he seemed so comfortable with. "Alliteration is such a fun thing to consider when naming a child..."
"It means spider." He states. "Did you ever meet my sister?" He asks, ignoring your nervous ramblings.
"No, no I don't believe I have. What is her name?" You ask.
"Arachne." The boy says, raising an eyebrow at you expectantly while you take a moment to wrack your mind to place it. He's acting as if you should know her, and suddenly you feel like you do.
You tilt your head slightly, allowing the memory to hit you like a freight train.
The funeral.
All you really remembered until now was being chained to a truck and paraded down the street you now recognize as the Corso, the body of his sister's tribute swinging above you while people screamed and cursed at you. Then, Coryo sang the national anthem.
"Oh, yes. Of course." You nod slightly, a frown settling over your features. "I am so sorry for your loss. Truly."
"No, you're not." He spits. "You don't care, and the fact that you're pretending to is just vile. She meant less than nothing to you and those animals- otherwise, she would still be here!"
You stammer, pushing yourself back in your seat as you grip the bottom of the chair. "No, no- I am sorry, I am. That should not have happened. It- It was horrible."
"Cancor." You silently thank the universe for your professor's quick intervention. "If you wouldn't mind returning to your usual seat and leaving Miss Y/L/N alone."
"We were just talking." Cancor replies, suddenly sweet as honey- cool and collected as if he wasn't just berating you over your faults in his sister's death.
"Go." Dr. Nero tells him again, nodding up toward the back of the lecture hall. "Before I am forced to ask you to leave."
The boy sighs in quiet frustration, slightly aggressive about his movements as he grabs his bag and stomps up the stairs.
You look up to your professor who greets the look with a curt nod and the smallest of sympathetic smiles.
It does nothing to quell the lightness you feel that usually signifies the trembling of your hands, which would soon spread. You close your eyes trying to take deep breaths that wouldn't come, but all you can see is the bodies of Arachne Crane and her tribute by the bars that had separated them. You have to open your eyes to remind yourself you aren't standing in the street, wrists still shackled to a truck. You can feel the chains weighing your wrists down to the desk as you think about it. You had almost entirely forgotten about the whole event- and the guilt of that was suddenly clawing its way up your throat. Cancor had never had the privilege of forgetting the way you had.
Quickly, you shove your books into your bag and stand, heading for the door. "Y/N." Dr. Nero's voice forces you to stop and you just turn to look at him, knowing full well you're unable to speak. "It's 8:58."
You nod slightly, looking down at the marble flooring that lay between you. "Start without me." You mumble, not giving him the chance to respond before you're leaving, accidentally bumping shoulders with some of the final students to enter.
You hadn't missed a single class yet, attendance was important, but right now you couldn't care less. Why should you even have the privilege of attending classes at the university in place of some of the academy's brightest minds who never got the chance? Like Arachne, and the three other mentors who were killed because of the games. You knew it wasn't necessarily your fault, but you understood Cancor's anger being directed at you. In a twisted way, you felt like you deserved it. They were meant to survive, you never were. Yet, here you were- a walking reminder to those students' friends and families that for some reason, they had to lose someone they shouldn't have.
You quickly pace down the nearly empty hall, trying to hold back your tears as long as you could. Feeling like you can't breathe is making it exponentially harder, and you wonder how you even walked out of the arena as it was. Adrenaline is a crazy beast- and you wished you had some leftover now. Sometimes, in moments like this, you wonder if you had used up your life's supply of the chemical the last time you were here in the Capitol.
Coryo was already running late after spending probably far too long conversing with your brother in the car, but he couldn't resist taking a detour into the arts building. He would just pass through, past your room just to glance inside and see if you were really there. Just to get a look at you.
He doesn't need to, though, turning a corner and just catching a glimpse of your hair as you disappear with a left turn at the end of the corridor. He was sure it was you.
Walking past your classroom he looks anyway, just to double-check, and as he suspected, you were gone.
He quickens his pace, taking advantage of his height difference over you to try and catch up with more rushed steps. "Y/N?" He calls out as he turns the same corner, but you're already hidden from view and the door at the far end of the hall is slamming shut.
As he continues down the corridor, a furrow knits its way into his brow. You must be headed to where you normally eat lunch, that is all that would make sense.
Without thinking, he follows. The courtyard is almost empty, aside from your frame curled up on the grass, knees tucked to your chest and bag discarded halfheartedly beside you on the damp grass. The sun casts a shadowed glow where it isn't blocked by trees or buildings in its path of rising, the grass is wet under his shoes as he quickly approaches you.
"Hey- hey, Y/N/N, it's me." He calls out as he walks up behind you. You turn your head, and then stand quickly.
"It- It's okay. I'm fine." You stammer, wiping your cheeks frantically. "You should g-go, you're already late."
"I'm not leaving you like this." He shakes his head, holding a hand out toward you as you avoid his eyes. "Tell me what happened, love. Talk to me."
You shake your head, shoulders backed to an invisible wall as you hold your palms over your face. You can't look at him right now- especially right now, when all you want is for him to hold you.
"You're okay. I'm not gonna hurt you." He whispers, taking a hesitant step closer. By now, you know full well he wouldn't hurt you. Not in the way he's saying, at least.
"You should go." You choke over the words that feel heavy in your mouth.
"Y/N, love, I told you, I'm not going anywhere." He repeats calmly.
"I want to go home." You sob. "I shouldn't have won, I shouldn't be here. I shouldn't even be alive!" You say, voice picking up in frustration. "It's not fair. Nothing is fair, nothing."
He frowns as you lower your hands, clenching your fists at your sides. "Of course, you should be here."
"You don't get it!" You snap, and you hardly even sound like yourself.
This was it. This was your breaking point.
Coryo is taken back by your outburst, almost flinching at the abruptness of your shift. He had never seen you angry- he didn't even know it was possible. Of course it was. He'd spent all this time, all this energy trying to convince people that you were human. Anger comes with that, hand in hand like your cat and the fur that's clinging to his clothes at this very moment. You couldn't have one without the other. "Then explain it to me." He urges you, trying to sound anything other than defensive.
Your eyes soften, as if you're suddenly realizing that your anger was not entirely placed on him. You shake your head. "It's not... I cannot explain it and that is the worst part." You sigh, but the rage flashes in your eyes again as you look down. "Why was it me and not any of them? Why did so many of your classmates have to die? Why did Marcus escape only to face a worse fate than the rest of us, when he tried to help me too? Why am I enrolled at this stuffy university when my spot belongs to Arachne Crane in rights?"
"Arachne Crane?" Coryo mutters, eyes widening with confusion while he wonders where on earth that came from. He shakes his head quickly to dismiss the thought. "Marcus tried to save you, yes, that could have been you who escaped, that's true- but you were too busy trying to save me. And you did." He knows better than to accuse you of regretting that. He knows you don't.
When you don't reply, just staring at him head on now, frustrated and confused, he continues. "If we're going by this unexplainable logic of the universe, I think that it was you because instead of saving yourself, you saved me. And you did it again in the arena, when you went back for Jessup when I was looking at the screen and begging you silently to just ditch him. Same exact thing when you tried to get little Wovey up into the rafters with you, and hell! When you stared down the barrel of my gun, shaking head to toe from fear just to save the life of the Mayor's daughter, who was nothing but awful to everyone!" He says, gesticulating wildly to get his point across. "I've been trying to tell you for months, Y/N. It was you because you are the only person in this whole damn country who cares about someone other than themselves."
You just shake your head, and it's frustrating to him that you're unwilling to accept what he knows to be true. "It didn't work." You sniff. "You're the only one who survived me."
"Listen to me," Coryo says, reaching out and holding your face in his hands- throwing caution to the wind regarding how he knows to handle your panic attacks. "I survived because I had to learn how to love you."
You look into his eyes, flitting your own back and forth between them in an attempt to place any signs of deception. Blue, baby blue. You find none.
"And I did. And I'll love you every day for the rest of our lives. I don't want you to think for a minute that I'm embarrassed by that fact." Your eyes are squeezed shut by the time he finishes speaking, his thumbs swiping over the tear stains left down your cheeks by anger.
"It's not your fault." You mumble, shaking your head under his hold. "I do not fault you for being embarrassed."
"I'm not." He says again. "Look at me, please, love."
You pry your eyes open to face him.
"I've... I've had all this pressure my whole life to be perfect, and now it's worse than ever and I should have never let that get pushed onto you. I want you to be happy, that's all. I want you to be free to do whatever you want, and right now, the cost of that comes with who we are in public. Do you understand?"
"Yes." You say softly, but he can see that's not fully true.
"Here, in the Capitol, everything is a social ladder. We cannot marry who we wish, we marry who we should. Rarely ever do kids here date for fun."
"Like Lucy Gray and the silly mistakes she made over and over again with Billy Taupe." You comment, trying to lighten the tension you feel radiating off his body.
"Yes." He chuckles, smiling hopefully at you, relieved that you understood. "But I want nothing more on this earth than for you to be the one I spend my life with. I want to make you happy, but first, in order to do that, you have to be someone that they will accept. And I am so, so sorry I didn't explain this to you sooner, but I want you to know I've never wanted you to change."
"We don't need them to like me to be happy. That will be an endless uphill battle, Coryo." You shake your head slightly, placing your hands over his as they slide down onto your neck.
"It will be uphill but we can do it." He assures you quickly. "You're already well-liked, we're-"
"Were you not happy in Twelve?" You ask, a sad look in your eyes.
He stops, tilting his head slightly at you. He was happy in Twelve, now that he considers it. He hadn't thought about it, he was so focused on hating everything but you that he just assumed it was awful, but really, it wasn't. Not in hindsight."Is that what you want?"
You smile in response. No one had asked in months what you wanted. What you really wanted.
"What do you want, love? I'll pack up and move us back to Twelve tomorrow if that's what you really want." He says again, nothing short of desperation in his tone.
Faced with the option, you're really not sure. Yes, of course, you'd like to go home. It was very tempting. But Coryo was right, this education was important. You imagine for a moment the life you could have back home if you stuck it out a few more years. And maybe by then, you'll be better accepted here. Maybe by then, the Capitol will be a different place, and you'll be truly happy here. With him, and he will have the power to make the games go away.
"No, no." You shake your head. "I want to do something splendid...something heroic or wonderful that won't be forgotten after I'm dead. I don't know what, but I'm on the watch for it and mean to astonish you all someday." You say, and he can tell from your change in notation that the words are not your own. It was something new, unlike what he had heard from you before. He smiles. "I want to be with you, first and foremost."
"You'll always be with me. Where you go, I follow." He assures you. "I was happy in Twelve, if only because I had you."
"That should not be enough, though." You insist.
"It has been for you, hasn't it?" He asks, and you nod, biting your tongue.
He grins. "Then I promise, love, that would be more than enough for me."
"O-okay." You agree, suddenly flushed by his stare. Coryo smiles, looking briefly at your lips as you speak. To him, they seemed more tempting now than ever.
He starts to lean in and you move your head back quickly, a worried look crossing your face and you look around. "Coryo, we-"
"I don't care." He says quickly, gently pulling you back to him and pressing his lips to yours. Consequences are the last thing on his mind right now.
You take hold of the front of his delicately pressed shirt, pulling him closer with his hands on your neck. Here, in the middle of the university courtyard with the sun shining down on your back, everything is okay and at least for now, the cold night has given way to a warm, sunny morning.

NPMD Digital Ticket details!
Since not every can/can afford to/wants to buy the Digital Ticket for Nerdy Prudes Must Die (and the bonus material that comes with the purchase), for your inclusion purposes, here's a list of fun background details, funny moments and comments made in the track commentary, for you to use however you like!
Ruth doesn't actually need to wear her headgear anymore, but she wears it anyway because it makes her feel safe.
Jeff pitched a Nightmare Time episode about the problematic puppy from Steph's verse of High School Is Killing Me, meaning there is a story there.
In the line, "I learned that at the anti bullying assembly last month, fucknugget!" there's a long pause before "Fucknugget!" which really makes it sound like Max forgot to insult Richie and just threw the word out.
All of the little noises Ruth makes, she makes because she has more she wants to say, but she can't say them (presumably due to anxiety).
In the proshot, you can't see fully how low Richie goes while he and Ruth sneak up on Peter, but Jon is fully crouched down. He then uses Pete's pockets and elbows to climb up like he's climbing a mountain (he mimes using a pick or axe to get good hold).
While Steph is talking, Ruth and Richie try their best to hear through the phone by getting as close as they can to it.
The reason Max and Jason were in the Pasqualli's parking lot is that they were practicing their skateboarding. They do that at Pasqualli's instead of at school/at a skatepark because they don't want the smoke club and skater kids to make them look like noobs. (This was a cut bit from the Pasqualli's scene).
The line, "Some big... dumb... sexy... football star" is expanded. In the Digital Ticket, Grace says, "Some big... dumb... sexy... sweaty... hot... well-spoken... beautifully tall football star."
When they're in the boys bathroom, Steph jumps to see over the stalls.
Richie Naruto runs when they're going to Waylon Hall. Pete slaps his hands down, but after they pause to look at the house, Richie looks over his shoulders at Pete a couple of times before darting away from him, once again Naruto running.
Richie stops in the door at the Waylon Place, so Pete pushes him inside.
Ruth and Richie speak at the same time when they say, "I'm allergic to deodorant" and "I have overactive sweat glands."
Ruth goes straight to Richie to complain after the "pus in my pits" exchange with Steph.
When Steph suggests saying there's a party at the Waylon Place, Pete, Ruth and Richie all react negatively (mostly nervously groaning).
While Grace sings the "He's just a nerd in disguise!" line, Richie can be seen practicing the first move of the Bully the Bully dance.
After Ruth says, "We're gonna cut off his nips!" you can see Steph look confused and ask, "What?"
While Pete and Richie talk in the Waylon Place ("Am I reading as ghost or Lin Manuel Miranda" & "She came all the way out here just for you."), Ruth and Steph discuss and practice Ruth's skeleton moves.
Richie gets stuck in the dangling parts of Pete's costume when he says, "You could just hit it and quit it, bro!" He then aggressively detangles himself.
The line "He's just really fucking brave!" comes from Richie being jealous that he's not that brave.
Richie hypes Ruth up a bit after Max says her skeleton bit was really special.
Grace hides behind Ruth while Max is dying.
Richie rolls his eyes when Grace says "It was an act of god!" (Similarly, Shapiro sighs and looks away in disbelief when Grace later says "It was god's plan!")
Pete gags when Grace says "Hack all his limbs off." Richie can also be seen gagging and holding his stomach several times.
Ruth hands Max's nipples over to Grace after cutting them off.
Jeff Blim is the principal of Hatchetfield High. Not a character of Jeff's, just Jeff himself.
Brenda still seems quite judgmental after the two weeks have passed. She makes a lot of not-quite-friendly faces when the football team's talking about Richie smelling bad.
When Richie struggles to remove the Zeke the Fightin' Nighthawk costume, he accidentally removes his jacket as well, leading to Jon having to put it back on (which he also struggles with) (and which creates a funny situation, since Richie was supposed to go shower).
Richie seems to have hurt his leg by the second fall in Nerdy Prudes Must Die (the song).
After Steph tells Grace to "Leave Ruth alone!" in the principal's office, Ruth tries to grab Steph's hand.
The wig Joey wears when he plays Dan Reynolds isn't Dan's real hair. Dan Reynolds wears a toupée.
Trevor and Angela's drama student encourage each other after they finish rehearsing.
Additional line when Grace is lying to Shapiro: "Suddenly, I remembered a crucial detail that made everything make sense. A picture came flashing into my mind, like I was Enola Holmes!"
"My dad sells women shoe! Shoes!"
Angela misses the chair at Beanie's and falls on her ass, leading to her, Joey and Mariah (mostly Mariah) breaking character.
During The Summoning, Tinky focuses ONLY on Pete. The entire time, he looks like he's restricting himself from lunging out and attacking him. At one point, he points at the Bastard's Box while staring at Pete.
90% of the time during The Summoning, Pokey's staring at his own mask.
Steph facepalms after Max says "That's nasty! ... I like it!"

Since hades 2 early access is out and people are talking about it, here’s my 2 cents on myth retellings.
Personally I never really like Greek myth retellings, because they get so much wrong and some border on straight up disrespectful, but hades is one of the few that actually does it right. I played the first game in 2020, and I’m a console player so I’ll have to wait to play the second one but I’m one of those autistics that likes spoilers so I know what to expect. And I’ve been DEVOURING the spoilers. I think the reason hades works when so many others don’t is because they 1) actually do their research 2) don’t erase the inherent queerness of Greek myth and 3) don’t modernise anything. It’s set in Ancient Greece and it stays in Ancient Greece. A lot of modern retellings just don’t work because there’s aspects of these myths that don’t translate well to the modern day. Researching the culture of the place and time is important to a faithful retelling, retellings like PJO and LO don’t work for me because they’re basically a wattpad American high-school/CEO AU fanfic.
I think a modern retelling COULD work, but you’d have to be a damn expect on the source material and Greek culture to make it work.
Another point: Greece and Rome have a big overlap in their mythology and ancient worship, but there are still differences. If you’re going to draw from both, you need to know those differences and be educated on how both cultures used their overlapping myths. My Italian ass heard varying stories from my Italian family, and my school when we did Greek myths in class. I was able to recognise they were the same source, but they had differences. That’s something you have to take into account for retellings too.
TLDR: the hades game series is one of the few that does Greek myth retellings right. And I like their depiction of Hypnos (he’s a fictive in my brain I mean-) he embodies the more childish mischief side of his characterisation from source myth.

May I please request Bakugou falling in love with a weak and sick fem!reader that is bound to hospital bed because of her disease (she can walk but she is too weak to do so). They could meet at the hospital while she still had strength to walk. Basically, he falls in love with her watching her wither away.My heart is craving angst and some soft Bakugou💔It's okay if you can't write it. Anyway, thank you!!! Sending you lots of love 🩷🩷

katsuki x fem!sickreader
synopsis: katsuki fell in love with you, but all good things must come to an end
author note: my first writing request i will treasure this forever!
cw: sick reader, the sickness is not specific, mentions of dying

“thank you for coming dynamite! the kids will be excited to see you here!” a woman in scrubs bowed in thanks, which katsuki only grunted at.
“don’t have to bow or anything, but you’re welcome” katsuki dipped his head a bit as a sign of respect. the woman held her clipboard with a smile.
“well aren’t you humble? come on now, the kids are right this way”
the nurse led him through a pair of doors that were decorated with stickers and kids names from top to bottom.
katsuki had decided that he would spend his volunteer days at the local hospital. it was either that or wearing a hairnet at the local soup kitchen. telling kids about some of his battles and even doing a damn craft if he had to.
now he had thought the doors were colorful, but the room was something else. children’s drawings were hung up all over the ceiling being held together by small clothespins and wire. there were shelves of toys and stuffed animals across just one wall, and a playmat for a safe area to have fun in.
though there were no kids on the playmat letting their imaginations run wild with dolls. neither were there at the easel’s painting a new picture to hang up.
they were all sitting at the table enthralled with something in front of them. katsuki was about to get their attention before he heard your voice.
“and then they came in contact with the evil king. he sat on top of his throne which towered above the hero and the princess”
“why’d he make his throne so high up?” one of the kids asked eyebrows scrunched together.
“because the king thought he was better than everyone. thought everyone was small compared to him, but that’s not the right mindset to have” the child nodded in understanding which allowed you to go on “then the king yelled out to the two-“ you looked up finally noticing the pro hero staring into your soul. your next words stopped in your throat at his presence.
blinking your eyes you gained your composure again sending the kids a smile “the king yelled out you’re gonna have to wait until next week to find out” all the the kids screamed ‘no!’ collectively, disappointed that their story time was being cut short. all you could do was laugh as they all gathered near your legs begging you to continue the story.
“i don’t think you’ll want to hear any more of the story when you see the special guest" all of the kids immediately turned around at your words now noticing the big pro hero that had been lingering behind them.
"dynamite!" they all screamed and went over to him as fast as they could. he was now being bombarded with questions and stories about himself.
"guys c'mon! let him breathe" you walked over giving him a smile "sorry, they're just really excited"
katsuki shook his head at your words "it's fine. better then damn villains attacking me-"
"he said a bad word! y/n he said a bad word!" the kids started feeding off of each other's energy until it turned into a full on shouting match.
"i heard it everyone don't worry, but dynamite is an adult so he's allowed to say the bad words" you gently tugged the kids away from dynamite so he could collect himself. some part in you hoped he had something planned, but he just seemed to stand there awkwardly. this was nothing like the hot-headed hero you saw on the television. he shifted his weight from one foot to the other looking at the kids, then up at you again. catching the memo you nodded.
"why don't we all introduce ourselves to dynamite, yeah? go find a seat and then we can start"
he watched as all of the kids followed your instructions without further push back. katsuki sent a subtle nod your way in which you returned "right this way dynamite"
you led him over to the chair you were sitting in "you can sit right here then we can go over names" katsuki sat down in the chair, but had to scoot up to the edge of it. between his hero suit and wide hips fitting in the chair simply wasn't going to happen.
for the next hour you directed as the kids introduced themselves and were able to ask the hero questions. katsuki answered most of the kids questions, well the one's that weren't 'do you have a girlfriend?' or 'why do you look mad all the time?'. your personal favorite being 'why do you sweat so much?'. as soon as it came out of the kid's mouth you burst out in laughter.
dynamite rolled his eyes not even looking at you "glad you found that funny"
"sorry! just- just wasn't expecting that"
by the time the last question was answered it was time for them to go back to their individual rooms "everybody say thank you to dynamite!"
"thank you dynamite!" they yelled out before filing out of the room one by one. there was a smile on your face as you turned to clean up but immediately jumped at the sight of the pro hero that was now particularly close to you.
"hi!" it came out in such a high pitch you had to clear your throat to make sure you were alright "thanks for spending time with the kids. they really enjoyed it i could tell"
"good"
his empty response only left you more confused. blinking away the confusion you put back on that polite smile of yours "well i'm just going to go clean" you stepped away from him walking over to the table. you had gotten the bright idea that each kid should make colorful nametags and give them to the pro hero.
"what was i doing wrong?" he asked quickly, but you still caught it.
"excuse me?"
"what was i doing wrong? cause some of the kids were looking at me like i was stupid when you walked in"
a smile crept onto your lips hearing his words. the katsuki bakugo asking for feedback.
"well i know you're a blunt man, so let me be blunt with you. when you walked in you kinda looked stupid. like you just got shocked by lightning and couldn't move. correct me if i'm wrong. that's probably because you don't have much experience with kids"
he scratched his chin a light stubble growing on his chin. he hasn't had much time to shave "i don't"
you could tell that there was more that he wanted to say, but couldn't bring himself to say it. taking one of the pencil boxes you slid it back into place "if you wanted to visit again. i could teach you some of the things i've learned along the years. i could take you on a walk around the hospital" his eyes stayed glues to the floor making you just a bit nervous "i didn't want to assume but the kids really had fun. plus i know they would love if you came back"
taking his fingers off of his chin he looked up. there was no way the paparazzi was catching him in a hairnet "okay, let’s go, show me around the hospital"
you raised your eyebrow at his swift demands and stepped aside to show him the mess on the table "i know you're some popular pro hero, but here? you're a volunteer. so what we're going to is clean this place up. then we'll see about that walk" you went over and gave him a pat on the shoulder "welcome to the team"
the next two months went by pretty quickly. he would come to hang out with the kids and you'd help him with how to interact with them and setting up activities. and after all the festivities were over you would take him on walks around the hospital.
this was the third month he had come, and you were showing him the gardens. the two of you had established your own kind of relationship with each other built on respect. he even let you call him bakugo now.
"sometimes i like to bring the kids out here and teach them all about the plants and how to garden. they don't like it because they're learning though. they like it because they're big dirtballs and love to play in the flowerbeds"
this made katsuki let out a stiff chuckle. he would take this to his grave, but he was genuinely enjoying the time that he volunteered here. his manager didn't have to threaten him with late night shifts just to blindly pick up volunteer hours anymore. there was some sort of fulfillment he got out of hearing the kids call "mr. dynamite" when they had a question. or when they laughed so hard their tiny stomach's hurt just because he called them "little brats". he watched as you went to sit down on a nearby bench going to make sure that the flowers next to them had been watered recently.
plus, he didn't mind spending alone time with you either.
he sat down next to you moving his focus over to your hands "you know a damn lot about this hospital. how long you been a volunteer?"
you stilled at his question, and he was one to notice details. you pulled your hands away from the flowers going to face him "i actually don't volunteer. i'm a patient" you didn't like people asking questions, so you prepared a speech every time someone asked "i don't know what illness i have. doctors have been running tests for years and they still can't seem to understand. at random times i'll just get things like flareups, or my body will become absolutely exhausted out of nowhere. there’s other symptoms too, but i don’t want to bore you with the details. they won't let me go because it's like every time i walk out of the walls of this hospital something bad happens and i need to go right back to bed rest"
katsuki did something that a lot of people who asked about your sickness didn't know how to do. he listened. he was attentive and never let his eyes leave your face as you explained.
"i've been in and out of here since i was a kid. that's why i know the hospital and the workers so well. that nurse that brought you in the first day? she was just my nurse years ago, but now she's head of the pediatric floor"
it was all coming together now. the way you showed him the most secluded hallways. how you knew what times they would be doing building wide activities. and he was finally making sense of your words that you had told him on his first day.
"you have to know the hospital to really understand the kids. i know it sounds stupid, but this is their home, and some people can't understand that. most of these kids spend more time in the hospital than they do in their own house. so know this hospital. have enough respect for them to at least try and understand what they're going through"
you had felt so deeply about this because you had gone through the same exact thing, and you weren't going to have someone mistreat these kids.
“cool”
your eyebrows raised at his response.
“cool? i just told you about my lifelong sickness and you’re gonna say cool?”
“well whaddya want me to say? you want me to treat you like a fucking dying plant?”
“no”
“then i’m going to say cool and we can move the hell on”
“wow! is the number two hero dynamite really being a sweetheart?”
with one hand he gave you a playful shove “fuck off” he mumbled taking that arm and letting it rest behind you on the bench “and call me katsuki”
as the months pass, katsuki grows more comfortable with the children, and with you. he decided that he should come more frequently. once every month turned into every two weeks. then those two weeks turning into one. the two of you never really defined the relationship. you didn’t need to. all that you needed to know was he cared for you, and you him.
it only took one week to change everything.
katsuki walked onto the children’s floor heading into the room. all of the kids were doing their centers, but you were nowhere to be found. he saw the nurse though, helping one of the children with a computer game. when he walked over he ruffled the hair on top of the kids head “sup brat. mrs. harada, ‘s y/n here?”
mrs. harada’s expression grew soft. she placed a hand on the child’s shoulder letting them know she’d be right back. gently she grabbed katsuki’s forearm and walked him to a corner of the room.
“y/n relapsed. it was a two days after you came to volunteer. she was fine, about to head out from cleaning then just collapsed”
katsuki felt his blood running cold. how the hell could this happen? he just saw you. you were just fine.
why didn’t you call him?
mrs. harada placed a gentle hand on his shoulder “i’m sorry. i know you two are close, and i'm sure you don’t know how to feel. i can tell you her room number so you can see her. i’ll step in for both of you today” she smiled writing it on a sticky note and handed it to him. he gave her a nod then went to storm out “bakugo” she called out to get his attention “i understand you might be feeling betrayed, and you’re allowed to feel that way, but y/n is feeling a lot at the moment. she finally thought she was getting better and- and here we are. so please go easy on her”
katsuki thanked her, then headed out the door.
he walked through the hospital on a mission. he didn't stop to greet anyone or take autographs. the only time that he stopped was when he saw your room number.
the door was cracked open, but he couldn't see you from the angle where he was.
it was strange.
katsuki has trained for more hours than he could count. he had been facing villain's since he was at least fourteen years old. he had been through a whole damn war for crying out loud. and yet, as he stood there he felt a weight he had never felt before.
you glanced up seeing katsuki walk through the door. your heart started beating faster as soon as you saw him. even if you tried to put up a facade about it, your heart monitor gave everything away.
“you found me”
“ ‘s not like you gave me any other choice”
you watched as he stood in the doorway. hand stuffed in the pockets of his sweats. you had recommended that he didn't wear his hero suit since it would probably get uncomfortable after a while.
"katsuki you can come in-"
"why didn't you tell me as soon as it happened?"
"it's complicated"
"then fucking explain it to me" he stared at you his face unmoving.
"fine" you sat up wincing slightly at the pain shooting up your spine. katsuki almost faltered seeing your face contort from the pain "I don't know why I didn't tell you okay? The thought crossed my mind about a thousand times, but I just couldn't do it" a shaky sigh left your body and you tried to fight back the tears "there's just a lot going on.. and- and-"
the door clicked softly behind him, but you hadn't noticed. katsuki had made his way next to your bed and was already climbing in beside you. the bed let out a groan because of the added weight. he wrapped one arm around you and wiped your tears with the other. his thumb had a rough texture from all the explosions they've let out throughout the years. but they were gentle for you, and only you.
"you don't gotta say anymore. i've got you"
you leaned onto his shoulder letting the dam of your emotions break onto him. tears ran down your face, but you let them flow this time.
so you cried, and you cried, and you cried and cried and cried.
and katsuki let you.
it had been a while before you could compose yourself again. the room was filled with comfortable silence and the occasional snuffle from you.
"do you feel better?" he asked turned his head to face you.
"yeah.. 'm sorry you had to deal with that"
"don't fuckin' apologize for crying"
you chuckled at his words going to grab a tissue to wipe any excess. he tilted his head some analyzing a spot on your face closely.
"you got somethin' right.. there" he swiped a piece of tissue that had gotten stuck on your face.
you faced him getting a better look from up close. blond hair stuffed under a black baseball cap. bags under his eyes from all of his night shifts.
katsuki couldn't handle you looking at him like that. eyes still puffy from crying. your tongue running over your lips.
fuck it.
katsuki's hand slid from your cheek to the back of your neck. he pulled you close as gently as he could. your foreheads touched before anything else.
"you don't want to kiss me. my face is disgusting" you whispered making him laugh, genuinely laugh.
"i've seen some disgusting shit and this isn't one of them"
you smiled before closing the distance between the two of you. there was a nice contrast to the kiss. between the roughness of his palm on your neck and his soft lips pressed against yours.
you could stay this way forever.
katsuki sneakily moved his tongue over your lips and pulled away. he made a face shaking his head "salty as shit"
"shut up!" you pushed him playfully making the both of you fall into laughter.
you and katsuki went on like this for months. constant visits, playful kisses, and when he was tired from patrol, he'd even let you read to him until he fell asleep.
but with the good, also came the bad.
your body had been getting weaker throughout the months. it came to the point where you couldn't get out of the bed unless you had help. katsuki had offered to take you on walks by putting you in the wheelchair, but you always refused. that is until you got the news.
"kats" you said causing him to lift his head from your shoulder "i wanna go on a walk"
he was confused at first. the sudden request to do something that you never wanted to was strange. though he didn't ask any questions as he went to get your things set up.
katsuki wrapped his arms around your torso lifting you up to be placed in the wheelchair. he had studied how the nurses did this thousands of times. you were embarrassed that he had to do this for you, but he'd do them a million times over it if meant walking with you.
there were no questions asked on where you wanted to go, you both knew.
katsuki pulled your wheelchair right next to the bench, but ended up putting you in his lap. you leaned against his shoulder looking at the cherry blossoms.
"when i die-"
"y/n don't start with that shit. you're not gonna die. you're gonna come back from this"
your one hand weakly played with the hair on the back of his head "we all die kats. it's okay if i talk about it"
"yeah, but you're talking about dying soon"
with a sad look in your eyes you watched his eyes follow the falling blossoms.
"can you at least promise me something then?"
"yeah"
"when i die, take care of the kids for me. you're so good with them and i don't trust just anybody handling it up there"
katsuki's eyes stayed glued to the trees in front of him.
"I can do that"
"and also-"
"idiot you said one promise!"
"hey! i'm dying i can make as many promises as i want" you smiled weakly at your own joke, but he didn't think it was too funny.
"promise to take care of yourself"
you saw his throat bob up and down at your words.
"you take care of so many other people and don't make time for yourself. learn how to rest kats. i can't have you dying either okay?" you placed a soft kiss on his cheek for good measure "you promise?"
katsuki rubbed one of his hands up and down your arm. a slow, shuddering breath leaving his mouth.
"i promise"
knowing that he would be okay you could finally rest, forever.
