You toss and turn in bed. Your covers are strewn across the room and you’re sweating. Your eyes are screwed shut as you lie there whimpering. You can’t even force yourself awake.
“You are not acting very nice.”
Your gaze does not even meet the scientist’s. His eyes bore into yours, but you can not force yourself to look at him. Instead, you stare at the floor. Your mind is racing, you are everywhere and nowhere all at once.
“Did you hear me?” He asks. You nod. “Then act better.” He marks something down on his clipboard and you watch him closely now. “Next time, there will be no warning. You will be punished.”
You nod again. Your hands rest on your thighs, gripping your bare thighs and shaking violently. Your whole body is shaking. At this point, you can’t think of a time you weren’t shaking. Your eyes cut from the man’s hands and up to him. You see the reflection of the bright lights of the lab in his glasses. You sniffle slightly.
“You look sick.” He looks up at you, his eyes meeting yours. You don’t look away this time. “After all this-” He motions around him. “That won’t happen anymore. You won’t have to worry about silly little sickness or your immune system at all. You know, after all of this, you will be the best.”
If it works, You think. You are almost certain you should have died by now. You have absolutely no clue what they have been injecting you with. You know it makes you sick. That’s about the extent of your knowledge. Well, you also know, you can die at any given moment. Whether the medicine or the guards around you takes you. Something can happen any time, and you just have to let it happen.
You remember lying in your ‘room’, throwing up blood and bile. No one checked on you. Not until the next round of testing. They gave you nausea medicine and you only hoped it’d work. Now, you're staring down the scientist who has ‘stuck by your side’ through all of the experiments. He is the only one who survived, you think. There have been several others. But you only saw them once or twice.
You aren’t sure if or how they died. You don’t like to think about it.
“We are going to test pain tolerance today.”
You perk up, in the least enthusiastic way possible. It caught your attention and set your skin ablaze. What does this entail? You can’t help but run through scenarios in your mind. The scientist pulls out a smaller syringe and places a needle in it. It’s full of a clear liquid. You don’t move. You’ve learned it’s best to not move.
He motions for you to hold out your arm. You do so, willingly. You’ve also learned it’s best to do as you’re told. He injects the needle into a vein and you try to stay relaxed. You whimper and shut your eyes. Suddenly, everything is on fire. Your body burns. A scream releases from your throat and you fall from the metal stool you had been sitting on. You curl up, clawing, scratching at your skin.
You begin to beg, “Please!” You scream for someone to stop it. “Please, help me!”
“Don’t worry,” His voice is so monotone. “It’ll pass. This is completely normal.”
You sit there, screaming and crying as the pain grows worse. You wonder if you yell loud enough if the guards would step in. But, so far, no one has stepped in. No. One. You can’t count on anyone. Not anymore. Your clawing slows down, the burning subsides. You relax and let out a small whimper. You sit up and inhale slowly. You slump over and look up at the man in front of you.
“Better?” He asks. You nod. “Good, now get back up.” You follow his instructions. “Now, I have a scalpel here. I’m going to poke you-” Your eyes widen. “-I’m not going to stab, or cut deep. I’m just checking pain levels.”
You sit back on the stool and hold your arm out again. The man grabs the scalpel from the side table and pokes into your arm. Blood rises and drips down. You feel pressure from the poke, but nothing else. You don’t react. You soon find out, maybe you should have.
“Hm, nothing?” Everything seems to be going according to plan for him and whoever was coordinating this. “Okay, next test.”
The scalpel is dug into your skin. Dull pain comes to the area, but you aren't feeling anything you should be feeling. You are too startled to scream. Blood rushes down your forearm and your eyes widen. You have learned to not pull away, so you stay there.
“Astounding…” He grabs the gauze from the small table and wraps your arm. “We will continue testing this in the morning.” He motions for some guards to come in. “I have to make sure that this… This is permanent.”
“If it’s not?” The words slip out.
“We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.”
The words, his tone, they send chills up your spine. You are grabbed, harshly, by the guards and pulled into the hallway, out of the little, ‘cozy’ lab. Your eyes adjust to the dim lights of the hall and you squint. You are dragged to your ‘room’. The guard flashes his card in front of the door and it slides open. They toss you in, you hit the floor. There is no pain this time.
You want so badly for that to be a good thing. You can’t help but feel sick to your stomach though. You crawl to your mattress and lay down. You don’t even have a cover. You sigh. You curl up and go to sleep.
You wake in a cold sweat. A scream rips from your throat and your body tenses. Your breathing is ragged and a knock is coming from your door. You look towards it. You examine your surroundings. You exhale trying to calm yourself.
“Ace!” The knocking becomes violent.
Your brows furrow. You stand from your bed and walk towards the door. You swing it open and find Gaz standing there. His eyes lock with yours, before falling to your sweaty, sticky form.
“Who’s Ace?” You ask, not caring that he is probably staring at your chest.
“Sorry,” He mumbles and tries to close your door. “I shouldn’t-”
“No,” You swat at his hand, opening the door further. “Who is Ace?” A cool breeze hits your bare legs and you realize why he’s being so funny. Your mouth forms an ‘o’ and you step back. You remember that you’re wearing your tank top and panties. You grab your shorts and throw them on. “I’m Ace, aren’t I?” You finally ask.
“That is… Was your call sign.”
You notice Gaz swallow hard. You can’t help but wonder what has him so shook up. He had to have seen some thighs and cleavage before. It registers, he must not have seen yours. You make note of that.
“It’s okay, Gaz,” You reassure him, “I promise it’s fine if you look at me.” You’re trying to not laugh. You can’t help but smile though. His eyes cut from the floor and up to you.
“Are you laughing at me?” He asks, you can see him grow embarrassed and irritated.
“You’re being silly,” Your smile widens. You watch Gaz relax. You cock your head. “Acting like I’m the first pair of thighs you’ve seen in your life.”
Gaz groans. “You don’t like-” He stops himself. “You used to not be comfortable with us seeing you like this. I don’t wanna overstep any boundaries.”
“You’re very sweet, Kyle.” He lights up as you call him by his name. “I do remember being that way though… I had always been that way ever since I can remember.” Which isn’t very much, you decide it would be best to not joke about that though. “But, I guess becoming a little lab rat kinda nipped that in the bud.”
Gaz doesn’t ask further questions. “I came to check on you, because you’re thirty minutes late.”
“Let me guess,” you purse your lips, “I used to never be late.”
Gaz is at a loss for words. “Well, no! You and Price were always first at debriefings.”
You note that as well. “I guess I need to change?” You question him. Gaz keeps from dropping eye contact. You are sure you need to change. Going to whatever you needed to go to, with nothing but a tank top and shorts on would probably not be the best look on your first real day back. “I’m fucking with you, Gaz.” You turn from him and he huffs. You grab some clothes from the dresser. Gaz excuses himself and you decide it’s best to not fuck with him further.
As he closes your door, you begin to mentally prepare yourself for what the day holds. You know you’ll be digging up old memories. You know recent wounds will resurface. You have to prepare now. You run through different questions and answers.
You're on autopilot as you get dressed. You finish up and walk back towards your door. You swing it open and find Gaz waiting. “Oh, you’re still here.”
“Figured you’d need help finding the room. Unless you don’t-”
“No, no,” You interrupt, “I don’t- I don’t know where the room is.” Having to admit that hurts. Gaz catches that. He doesn’t say anything further. You follow him down the hall and through a corridor. You reach a double door and Gaz lets you in first. You spot Price, then Soap, then Ghost. Every last one of them seems uncomfortable.
You walk into the middle of the room and stand there. The door closes behind Gaz and he walks up beside you. You stand there waiting for anyone to say something. No one breaks the silence, so you decide to.
“I don’t think I like sleeping alone.” You look at Price. “I haven’t- I didn’t have a roommate in the-” You keep stopping yourself. “It’s been a while since I’ve had a roommate. I don’t know how I'd react to one. But I can not sleep alone.”
Price nods. “That can be fixed.” He is reassuring. “We'll get you set up with-”
“I want it to be one of you.” You interrupt him. All of them tense. “I know I don't remember much of anything… but you four seem to know me the best. I want it to be one of you four.” You nod to yourself as you say the last sentence.
“Do you have a preference?” Price seems like he isn't judging who you pick, but you can't help but feel like they're all judging which one you pick.
“How about-” You place a finger on your chin. “We could alternate?”
“Alternate sleeping arrangements?” Ghost speaks up.
“That can be arranged.” Price nods. “We can talk more about that later. We really need to figure out what you do know.”
“Easy,” you shrug, “I know I have a mom and dad- We moved a lot growing up. I know that I used to be self conscious.” You remember this morning.
“Used to be?” Soap asks.
“Well, yeah, being stuck in a lab changes a person.” The whole room becomes uncomfortable. “Sorry…”
“It's alright, love,” Gaz pats you on the back, and you look at him. You don't tense. You don't attack. You just stare. Your stomach flips out how he says ‘love’. “But that's not what he meant. Do you have any information on what was happening?”
You inhale slowly and close your eyes. “Okay. I don't know where I was. But I do know people came and… uh went. A lot. Do I know where they went? No. I'm assuming the guards took care of them. It was too important for people to just come and go as they pleased. The experiments were too-” You pause. “Classified. But the scientist that was with me when Soap saved me, that was my main scientist. I never got anyone's name. They said I would get, uh, stuff like that if the experiments fully worked. I'm not sure they ever had it work though-”
“On others?” Ghost interrupts. You nod. “There were others?”
“Yeah. I mean, I think so. I overheard a couple times, of different,” you pause again, thinking of what they called you, “subjects just… dying. In reality, I don't know why I'm not dead. I also believe there were more because I was dubbed Subject Five. There were, I assume, four before me. Unless they just wanted to call me Five.” You shrug, growing uncomfortable. “I do know, for a fact, they were only getting military personnel.”
“Dae ye ken how come thay picked ye?” Soap is about as uncomfortable as you are now.
“Not entirely. But the scientist had said that I was compliant. I was… pliable, that is the word he used when I walked in for the very first round of testing. He didn't want me. He made that very known. But he had me, so he did everything he could to make everything work. It wasn't always smooth. But,” you shrug, “it is what it is.”
You see Ghost shift. He looks angry. It's making you more uncomfortable. “What do you mean, it wasn't always smooth?”
“The testing was extensive. The amount of times I've been poked and jabbed is unknown at this point. I mean,” you roll your head to the side, exposing your neck, “I have little scars littering my body from… everything.”
Price can tell you're growing tense. “Have you eaten this morning?”
“Not hungry.” You respond, trying to seem as normal as possible. “But, I would like to shower… I haven't had a hot shower in, uh, four months. I only ever got cold ones.”
“One of us can show you where-”
“No, no,” you wave your hand, “I saw it earlier. I'm sure I can find it myself. You four probably have a lot to talk about. I'll be out of your hair now.” You force a smile.
You exit the room and head back to your room. That probably wasn't going to be your room much longer. You grab some clothes and head towards the showers.
Your head hurts and you want nothing but to sit in hot steam and scrub yourself under scalding hot water. You make your way into the showers and find it empty. You sigh. You go into one of the little showers and close the door. You turn on the water and relax as the warmth hits you. You groan and roll your head back. It's the nicest you have felt in months. ——————————— Simon has not felt so angry in so long. He wants to find who did this to you and kill them. Every single one of them. The way you had seemed to shrink when talking about what happened. How you look to be a shell of your former self. And how you probably don't even remember your former self.
“What do you mean we are going to alternate sleeping arrangements?” Johnny asks. Simon wants to know how it’s going to work too.
“That’s up to her.” Price finally says. “I’m assuming she’ll pick one of us to stay with during the night. We can change it every night. Or however often she needs.”
Simon needs you to pick him. But, he also hopes you don’t. Your last interaction with him has seemed to have left a horrible taste in his mouth. He wants to protect you so badly, still. Maybe you don’t need it now, or anymore. But he has to. Even if you don’t remember what happened.
“Simon,” Price’s voice is low, soft, reassuring. “This is not your fault.”
“You keep saying that.” He growls. “You weren’t there. I was. End of story.”
Simon plays the night over and over in his head. Every day. Ever since you were taken. The night at the safe house. It was you and him… It could have been him they snatched up. But it had to be you. He can’t stop thinking about how differently it could have been if it were him they took. He isn’t so pliable… His blood is boiling.
“Ghost,” Johnny speaks, bringing him back down, “she’s okay now.” He places a hand on Simon’s shoulder and tries to reassure him. Everyone is so reassuring… Simon wishes they would stop. He isn’t used to not being able to contain himself. And yet, here he stood. Seething. Ready to bash the heads in of anyone who even thought about bringing harm to you. He can’t take it.
“Fuck this.” He needs to clear his head. “I gotta go.”
Price, Johnny, and Kyle let him leave. Simon thinks maybe a hot shower would help him as well. He inhales deeply as he walks towards the showers. The door swings open and Simon realizes there is only one shower running. Good. All he can hear is water. Steam covers the room. It’s practically a sauna. The water stops running.
Then he hears it. Soft humming. A hum he knows he’s heard before.
Memories are flooding back. Your fingers running through his hair, his head on your chest, and your soft hums the only thing he can hear. Suddenly he can’t breathe. He’s frozen. He’s moving in autopilot momentarily. He’s making his way towards you. He spots you. A towel is wrapped tightly around you and your back is to him. Your hums turn to singing and Simon reaches you. He opens his mouth to speak and he realizes too late he has startled you.
He’s reaching for your shoulder when your hand grabs him. You swing him around and slam him into the concrete wall. Every bit of breath is knocked out of Simon. Your hand is on his throat and your eyes are dark. Simon notes they’re way darker than he’s ever seen.
“Oh. It’s you.”
“You’re in the men’s showers.”
Simon watches as your face drops. You look around. “No one was in here. I didn’t- My brain was too foggy.”
Simon’s hands are up. He relaxes as you let him go and his eyes don’t leave yours as you fix the towel covering you. His eyes briefly drop and he looks at the scars littering your skin. You were right. They’re mostly smaller scars, but there is one on your forearm, right under the bend of your elbow. There was force behind that one.
“Should have let us show you where it was.” He smiles under his mask. You look embarrassed. “I’ll make sure no one comes in, if you wanna get dressed, love.”
It slips out. Naturally. He tenses as the word leaves his lips. Love… His back is to you as you get dressed. He does not dare peek. As he begins to relax, words leave your mouth causing him to tense all over again.
“Ghost?”
He wants you to call him Simon. “Hm.”
“Gaz called me ‘love’ earlier too… I know it’s a British thing, but the way you both said it-” Simon tenses as you pause. “What were we? All of us?”
Simon really does not know how to answer that. He can easily tell you about him and Johnny, or about Price and Gaz. But you? Fuck, it was confusing. He didn’t entirely know what you were with the others. But he did know the both of you were close. But, never like that…
He says your name. His eyes shut. “That’s complicated.”
“Hm…” He hears you hum. “You can turn around now.”
Simon turns to find you approaching him. You’re dressed and holding your towel in your hands. “Sorry about earlier… I don’t know what happened. I didn’t know it was you-”
“It’s fine.” Simon motions for you to walk in front of him, letting you leave before him. He watches you closely. He wonders if you can feel his eyes on you. If you can, you don’t say anything. Simon wants nothing more than to reach out, rest his hand on the small of your back, and walk you to where you’re going. He refrains.
“I’m sort of hungry now…” Your words bring Simon back. “Can you show me to the cafeteria?”
Simon nods, “Of course.”
He walks in front of you. His body begins to lead the way, while his brain is stuck on you slamming him into the wall. He can’t stop thinking about it now. Processing it. You looked absolutely feral, and a little terrified. He tenses, his fingers curling into his palms, as he thinks about what happened to you to make you that way.
Simon doesn’t want to have to go through the pain of remembering certain things. But he hopes that if you do remember who snatched you up, that you will tell him who it was. So that he can cause them just as much turmoil.

Note: I got a little carried away with the pov. So the reading is a little long. But I hope you enjoy it, I already have the other parts in my head. I know you're going to love it, thanks again to all of you. From now on I warn you that I am not very expert in this Navi culture, but I did my best. And I'll be using events that happened in the movie, but they won't be exactly the same. And sorry for the spelling. English is not my mother tongue.
Tumblr media
"Ok, we're all awake now" Jake said, "no, loak is left, he went out to do something" kiri said as she braided your hair. "Well, I'll go get him" Jake came out of the hut. Neytiri came over to you and took your hands to see how your wounds are." How are they feeling? How do you feel? better?" said Neytiri as she also checked the bandages on your ankles. "I'm fine, mom." Neytiri looked at you and laughed a little.
You didn't usually call her mama, but when you did her heart would grow with joy. She didn't understand how she had become so fond of you. She thought it was because you had Navi blood, and that was the reason you were closer to her, but no, it was something else. She loved you as her daughter. It was like that time you were in the lab, you were about 5 years old, and you were in Jake's arms while Norm was taking blood samples. Jake looked up something on the computer, and put on a video of him when he was human. y/n stared at the screen, and then looked at Jake, "Did you see who's there? That's me, daddy." y/n looked at Jake "but you're pink and now you're blue" . Neytiri laughed a little, she was admiring the scene. Y/N was the baby she and jake would have had, if jake was still human. She fantasized about that idea. And if y/n was a gift from eywa, she was grateful for it. Because you were such a well-behaved, kind, strong child. Very strong.
"It's ready," kiri said as she continued to fix your hair. "I think the beads neteyam gave you, they look good "you looked at kiri with a withering look." Which beads?" asked neytiri while looking at your hair. "Yes, neteyam gave me some to put in my hair." Neytiri analyzed your expressions, "well… they look good on you." She shifted her gaze and got up to prepare breakfast.
"Kiriiiiiiii why did you say that?" you whispered to kiri while tapping her on the shoulder." Hey, I think it's cute…that coordinating outfits thing" she giggles at you, while still playing with her. You and kiri were so close. You said you were almost twins, since you gave them away on the same day to your parents. And they were the product of strange circumstances.
"Yes, but no one must know. You know… what mom and DAD will think. I don't want to imagine what dad will say, he's going to bury me alive and then you guys for covering up this secret." You look at kiri with worried. "hey…take it easy. Yeah, we grew up together and all. But we all know you and neteyam like each other…the looks and all. Trust me, I think dad knows something. Besides, neteyam was your first kiss." You turn completely around to look at kiri "kiri…we were 10 years old and it wasn't neteyam….it was spider." Kiri couldn't hold in her laughter. "ahhhh I remember now, it was a challenge. But neteyam kissed you later and ran off." You guys kept laughing until jake came in with loak.
"Ok, together everyone" You all settled in a circle and turned your attention to jake. "Family, you know what happened yesterday…the attack there was towards y/n." you lowered your head, you were trying to forget what happened. "Your mother and I talked and thought about going somewhere else." kiri stood up upset." what????" you tried to take kiri's hand." Hey, this is going to get worse… they want y/n. And then they'll go after all of us. This is for the best" jake took neytiri's hand "guys, it's the right thing to do" neytiri affirmed squeezing her partner's hand. Kiri didn't like the idea and left the pot in anger. Behind her were loak and tuk, these two were not upset by the idea, but went to look for their sister.
You were silent "dad?" Jake looked at you "yes, y/n" you took a deep breath "what about spider?" neteyam looked at you, while jake adjusted "honey, he's got…" "he'll stay here and that's it" said neytiri somewhat annoyed. You knew she didn't tolerate spider, but you still loved him so much. "But they're going to look for him. …. They know he knows me, he knows us. He must go with us. They can hurt him" neteyam stood up in discomfort and came up for air. Here you were again, worrying about spider, thought neteyam.
"Y/N, he will be fine. I promise", jake put a hand on your shoulder " no, please daddy…. He has to go with us. Please" jake looked you in the eyes, he knows how important he was to you spider. He knows his children love that monkey-human. "ok, that's fine he will come with us". "What do you say? No." Neytiri is upset. " Any clan we go to, they're going to reject us. And it's going to be his fault" you stood up and looked at neytiri "then they're not going to accept me either, mom look at me… I'm a human, a fucking demon. An experiment. A fucking human, with a navi tail. I'm sure they'll judge me more than the spider himself. We can't just leave him here." Neytiri looks at you with teary eyes, you just called yourself a demon. No, to her you were not a demon. "come here" neytiri hugged you " don't ever say that again… you are my precious girl". You hugged neytiri tighter, the woman looked at her mate and ascended with her head." It's okay, spider will accompany us." Neytiri looked at you, she saw your face light up. "thank you, thank you!!!" You ran off to break the news to kiri and the others.
"This is a disaster, How she knows it's an experiment. Besides, taking that kid…. I don't like Ma jake" neytiri moved closer to jake as he pulled her arms around her. "We'll be fine, I promise."
Kiri was with spider, loak and tuk. They were discussing the idea that jake had said. Kiri couldn't believe it, she loved her home. And leaving meant leaving everyone, leaving spider. Kiri looked up, when she saw you running, she had to laugh a little. You almost fell to the ground, you were funny when you ran. "Guys I have very good news" you go and hug spider. "what's wrong?" spider hugs you back as he puts his hands on your waist "ahhhh I'm so happy" you start jumping up and down, making spider copy your steps. Tuk joins you "what happened?" kiri asks, making you look at her." Spider is going with us, of course…if he wants to" You look at spider, the boy's eyes widened. "Is it serious?" Kiri couldn't believe it. She hugged spider. "Sure…but how?" spider couldn't believe what you were saying." Well…I have my charms" you say as you grimace, "sure, manipulative" said loak, as he pushed you to the side, so he could hug spider." Come here bro, I told you we would all be together" loak pulled you all closer in a big hug. "where's neteyam?" asked tuk. He was right, he was nowhere to be found. Oh no, you knew where he was and how he was. "Hey, why don't you tell norm and the guys everything while I go look for neteyam" Before you left, spider held your hand, looked you in the eye and rubbed his thumb over your hand. Your heart skipped a beat, you must admit that you and spider had a history, before you liked neteyam. Spider was your first crush. Loak and kiri looked into each other's eyes and tuk made a disgusted face. "well, you come or not" kiri said, as she dragged everyone with her.
You got to the soul tree, you knew neteyam was going to be there. And boom…you were right. He was sitting, while his queue was connected to eywa. He was praying. You sat next to him, and waited for him to finish. When he noticed your presence, he opened one eye and then ignored you. He just did that, you said to yourself." If you don't talk to me, I won't leave. And you know it" neteyam moved away from the eywa branches and settled down next to you. "Why do you always worry about him?" you couldn't believe what you just heard." Excuse me… are you talking about spider?" neteyam complained and you saw his face change color. "hey, don't be like that with me. Spider is part of the family. We can't leave him here" you take his hand "I know, but have you ever asked me how I feel? The first thing that popped into your head was to ask if…he can go with us." Wow, neteyam was right. You were always worried about spider, ever since you were kids. That was the reason why at 12 years old you had a crush on him, but when you confessed spider said you were "weird and ugly". Which caused neteyam to fight with him, loak to tell his mom and neytiri to try to drown him in the nearest river. Thank goodness Jake, everything was under control. After that, you became disillusioned. It wasn't until, at the age of 19, neteyam confessed that he loved you.
"sorry, yes. forgive me for not asking for you" neteyam settled in front of you, and took your face in his hands. "don't apologize to me, you know I don't like it when you do that." You lifted your heels and gave him a kiss. His lips were soft and warm. Neteyam slid his hands down to your waist, to pull you up onto his lap. Your hands tangled in his hair, as the kiss grew hotter. The kisses were messy, as neteyam kissed his way down your jaw to your neck. A gasp came out of your mouth, as neteyam pulled you closer to his body. Shit, you never went this far before. " neyet…" you sighed when you noticed how needy he was " that's not…mmm" you looked down at his crotch. "I'm sorry, I can't contr…" you interrupted him kissing him again. You two were so wrapped up in your make up section. That you didn't hear loak.
"ahhhhhhhhhh YUCK, NO NO NO NO. Ahhhhhhh" Loak yelled, you and neteyam separated quickly, trying to fix yourselves up a little. "you idiot, you need to learn how to call people" neteyam, turned his back to his brother, while trying to hide his recent erection. "hey, I'm not the one running around fucking in a PUBLIC area. You heard Public" Loak was yelling at his brother, until you hit him. "Shut up already, and don't you dare say anything." You threatened him, "I already knew you two were together, I'm not stupid. Plus, kiri, she's not that good at keeping secrets." You looked at him in shook, oh no. Why kiri had to open her mouth. "what do you want? what are you looking for us for?" neteyam asks, "dad, he says to pack up everything, we have to leave before sunset." Neteyam takes your hand, as you all start walking towards the shelter.
"You and I need to talk miss… I'm your best friend!!!! Why am I the last one to find out that you and neteyam are together. You know you're hurting me." I said loak, while still walking. "don't ignore me!!!!!" you and loak continue your discussion all the way to the shelter. Neteyam just ignores them.
AREA 12, northeast of pandora:
Quaritch sat staring at a fixed point in the lunchroom area, while his teammates laughed and talked about god knows what. In his head there was only one thing… you. How could such a beautiful woman, be the mix of a species that, to his taste, was unpleasant. Well not unpleasant, because now his body was the same. But he didn't find it attractive. "Hey…you're still thinking about that girl, aren't you?" said Lyle as he tapped his arm. "I'm just thinking how she could have gotten away from us" Quaritch shifted his gaze." Yeah, yeah…" Lyle giggled a little. "And did you notice that human boy?" commented Lyle, he looks like your son….miles" Lyle looked at Quaritch waiting for an answer." Yes, he does" There was a short silence until Lyle spoke, "do you think he's that girl's mate? He looked a little worried when John tried to touch her." Quaritch complained "that idiot…he doesn't know how to keep his fucking dick tucked away…. But I don't think boy is the mate. I think it's the blue monkey." Quaritch looked at each other as they analyzed the situation." Lucky guy…she's very pretty." Lyle said "hey…watch out." "I knew it…I knew it!!!!" Lyle got up from the chair and walked towards the exit as he teased Quaritch. "Knew what???" he yelled back…what did Lyle know.
After the saying goodbye to the clan and jake passing his toruk makto position. You all went to the area where the ikran were, all the family belongings were packed. Neytiri was checking that everyone was ready, putting on some kind of tunic, for the cold and wind. When it was almost spider's turn, she handed you the tunic "go and put this on him." Said neytiri as she looked at the poor boy out of the corner of her eye. You approached spider," look, this will keep you warm and safe" you place the tunic over his head, neteyam was next to loak talking about something until he saw the scene in front of him, "watch out… he might take your girlfriend away" said loak, causing neteyam to punch him in the stomach.
"hey, you two stop!!!! family are we ready? let's go!!!" announced jake, already getting into his ikran. Neteyam walked towards you, and took your hand walking towards his ikran. You had to go with someone, because even though you can use your queue, the ikran was too big a beast for you, so you had to share it with Neteyam. Spider noticed neteyam's look and lowered his head and walked over to kiri. "I feel that neteyam wants to murder me," says spider as he settles in behind kiri in her ikran, "don't mind him, he must be upset. After all… this is a big change for everyone" kiri tries to comfort spider. Everyone left, you sat right in front of neteyam, your back was against his chest. And he already had a hand on your waist. "hey…. Hands to the front" chuckled jake to neteyam as he noticed the position you two were in. You heard tuk giggling next to you, when you turned to look, you noticed neytiri was watching you too. Damn…this was going to be a long ride.

Warnings: Mentions of violence, blood, injuries, abuse, kidnappings, shootings, swearing and scary men.
Summary: When Jay least expected it, he suddenly starts hearing things. And maybe, he's starting to hallucinate too.
A/N: Am I suddenly full of inspiration and writing in school when i should be doing my lab write up? Yes I am. This chapter has been changed many times but I finally finished editing. A little spoiler- maybe I’m being nicer to my babies 🙃

Over the course of eating their very poorly put together ‘meal’, Will came to the conclusion that the food hadn’t been tampered with and so he was happy to continue feeding you.
You had to admit that you felt like a baby, your older adult brother feeding adult you. You tried insisting you could feed yourself but with the state of your shaking fingers, hands sore from the countless times they’d been tied back, Will denied you your request.
The man that had given the tray of food returned and this time, there was something rectangle like sticking out in one of his trouser pockets while what clearly sounded like keys was sticking out in the other.
Your heart skipped a beat, and you could feel Will’s heart rate increase from where his hand was positioned over yours. He must’ve noticed it too.
The Ezra's were so meticulous in their plans and their behaviour was always erratic and on another level of violence that it was impossible to believe one of their henchmen could even, for a second, have the thought of being nice to their victims.
But you were continuously surprised by them because as he took the empty tray, leaving behind the two waters and single juice, he ‘accidentally’ dropped the plastic rectangle and as he was walking away, his back turned to you both, a key fell and clanged against the ground, but he never looked back.
And just like that, the door slammed behind him, massively contrasting the immense kindness he showed mere seconds ago.
Holy friggin shit balls.
*****
Was Trudy worried? Yes, indeed she is. Was she going to show any concern? No, not unless she was left alone with her detective.
Ever since dispatch had forwarded her Jay’s call, she’d been on her feet and alert. And ever since she found out that Jackson and Ezra Murray were the culprits to blame, she was determined that they weren’t going to get away again.
Trudy knew all the Halstead siblings, but she knew Jay the best. Over the many years, not only herself but many, many others were forced to get used to not one but three Halstead's being in existence and working within less than fifteen minutes from each other.
Currently, Trudy and Jay were alone in the bullpen since the younger detective was barred from any field work unless they found Will and Y/N’s location but that was the only exception. Right now, her job was to keep Jay company, keep an eye on him and continue looking for any more clues or evidence that could be of any help.
Jay was very clearly still losing his mind and his mental and physical state deteriorated as time passed. At this point, Trudy couldn’t help but think the worst and fear for how her detective was going to fare as a result.
Currently, she was sat opposite him at Hailey's desk, doing her own bit by going through security footage that had too many hours of video on it. Usually, she would get bored doing this, but it was a little different this time because whenever she glanced up, she was faced with the struggling sight of your brother who never asked for too much.
All he wanted was to get his older brother and younger sister back.
Suddenly, the phone on Jay’s desk was ringing. Luckily for him, he had a second phone whenever he went undercover and since the first one had been taken and was likely smashed in an evidence bag somewhere, this was all he was relying on.
The sound was slightly jarring as it interrupted the pin drop silence they’d been in but neither of them showed any sign of discomfort. Instead, Jay went to answer the call, but his solemn mood didn’t change. It was evident that he wasn’t expecting much since it was his undercover phone that they’d been using two days ago on a case.
Just as the desk sergeant was about to go back to her CCTV footage, she felt the entire bullpen still. The tension so thick it was suffocating her veins restricting any blood flow, and as she looked up, it became dizzying.
His already pale face had nothing on Snow White and from where she sat, she could his heartbeat thundering out his chest, practically vibrating. All this could only mean one thing.
“Will?”
What the fuck
For a hot second, Trudy thought that Jay was in so much pain that he was transferring some of his hallucinations onto her to alleviate his symptoms but then he continued talking into the phone and reality sunk into her bones.
"Shit, Will wait slow down I can't- what?!"
Without prior warning, Jay shot out of his seat, wavering slightly on his feet causing the older woman to follow and stand by his side in any case he fell from the whiplash she's sure he gave himself.
"Knives- you've got keys?- Y/N's not unconscious- she's lost her voice- your bleeding?! When- Why are you talking about grape juice?!" Jay paused several times, his words repeatedly getting cut off by Will on the other side of the phone. The longer the call went on, the more confused Trudy became. Jay must've been thinking the same as her from the height his brows rose every time he spoke. They went from talking about knives and blood to grape juice.
The duality of the Halstead brothers.
"Wait so he gave you a knife and somehow you found a gun just casually lying around? Will, I swear to God if you-"
And when Jay screw his eyes shut, something in her mind told her the doctor was doing something stupid and very questionable, very in character even when in a life or death situation. It was nice to know people would never change.
Despite the anxiety growing in her chest, the call lasted longer than she expected. Will was being very efficient and careful for managing whatever he was doing and that put her at somewhat ease. Eventually, nothing physically tore them apart but it was poor internet or a lack of a connection that abruptly ended the call.
"Tell me you got a location?" Jay asked, hope drowning out any other emotion in his ever so expressive eyes. If it wasn't for lives being on the line then she would've scoffed and scolded him but a sarcastic remark would do for now.
"What do you take me for?" She asked incredulously as she glanced at the computer screen, almost immediately committing the address to her memory.
"I'll call Voight but get in the car first."
But Jay didn't need her permission, he was already moving.
*****
So much had unravelled in the last twenty minutes, you were still struggling to understand it all.
With all the uncertainty and determination in the world, you and Will had no other plan but to take they keys and the pocketknife and basically run as fast as you could. Well, run as much as Will could since he was carrying you on his back, very reminiscent of your childhood while he navigated the halls as best he could. You made a very pathetic argument that you could walk on your own but when you tried standing up, your legs gave in on themselves and Will gave you his motherly disappointed look that was very spot on; you and Jay had been on the receiving end of this look for way too long now that you should’ve been immune to it but here you were.
Opening the basement door, you both cringed at the loud sound it made. You guys hadn’t even left the basement yet and it was already going off to a great start.
As gently as he could, Will readjusted your position on his back, his arms moving to hold under your thighs more securely so that in a rush, you wouldn’t move. As he did so, you kept your arms around his neck, barely gripping him due to both a lack of strength and cautious to not strangle him.
Before leaving the room, you and Will sat and contemplated very long and hard about your escape plan. You were provided with very little by the mysterious man you were now deeming your saviour and maybe guardian angel depending on how successful the escape was.
Staring at the burner phone, you swore. You couldn’t remember anyone’s phone number for the life of you. Easily, you could’ve called 999 but the response much longer than calling someone either of you knew. It shocked you only a little when you couldn’t recollect a single person’s phone number, not even Kelly’s or Jay’s.
But like always, Will was there and knew exactly what to do. Maybe it was his doctor nature, but he had several numbers memorised and for some odd reason, he remembered Jay’s undercover phone number. You called him stupid, but he only laughed it off while he punched in the numbers.
You waited in anticipation, your nerves imitating Will’s as he held the phone to his ear, biting on the inside of his cheek as he waited for the phone to stop ringing. And when it did, Will audibly let out a sigh of relief, you felt like crying.
Will explained in half detail, leaving out a lot. It was obvious that Will was trying to relay the necessary details Jay needed to know about their current situation but then he decided to add in the random unnecessary fact that you drank grape juice. That totally threw you off, but Will kept talking as if nothing were wrong.
When Will eventually finished talking, he went silent and listened to what Jay was saying. For a minute, you couldn’t hear a voice on the other side of the phone but then you heard his muffled voice, and it brought you immediate ease knowing he was safe.
And before you knew it, the call ended, and you were out the dreaded basement.
Back to the present, Will was carefully cruising the empty corridors of the very nicely furnished warehouse. It made you question the desolate and dirty state the basement was in. At one point, you pointed out a gun lying on an ottoman; it was very suspiciously placed but when Will checked, it was very much real and very much loaded.
So here you were: a burner phone, pocketknife, gun, and sheer drive. You didn’t want to jinx it but… yes you weren’t going to jinx it.
The warehouse was ginormous. Every corridor was identical to the next and the furnishing was as though a professional interior designer had been inside. Luckily for you and Will, Jackson and Ezra’s lacky’s hadn’t been plastered all over the place, making your escape just a little more easier.
To remain as incognito as possible, Will only whispered to you when absolutely necessary, narrating to you what he was doing and what was going to happen. So far, so good. Will was slinking around, movements smooth and looking like a hair on his body had never been touched since being here. If you didn’t already know he was a doctor, then you would question his physical abilities and profession.
Each corner you turned, you felt your heart drop, your body anticipating disaster. The more time passed, the more you could feel Will sweat and struggle. He had begrudgingly admitted that he was hurt, going into slight detail that Ezra stabbed him, and he’d been hurt more throughout the several times you were passed out. You knew he was hurt and if you were to go in order of the most hurt to the least, the list would be: You, Will and then Jay. And considering the blood you saw covering Jay’s body the last time you saw him; God knows what went down between your oldest brother and your kidnappers.
“Will, if you’re tired, we can stop for a second.” You whispered into his ear but the only reply you got was him shaking his head. You knew his answer made sense, you needed to get out as soon as possible before you got caught but if Will took just one minute or two to recollect himself then maybe he’d feel better.
However, he decided that he was going to put himself last and everything else first because according to him, apparently you and getting out of this damned place took priority to his light-headedness and the blood that was only now slowly beginning to stop running like a river.
And so, without another word, he readjusted you one more time, his grip tightening around your thighs but not too much so it would hurt, and he continued walking.
Going downstairs was the hardest thing Will had to do by far. Yes, carrying you and maintaining your weight on his back was difficult but he could manage, and you felt much more lighter than what you should’ve been being a firefighter but that was a concern for later.
Staring down from the top of the staircase, Will calculated the descent. Yes, it would hurt a lot considering how much his legs shook as he merely stood but he was now starting to get worried but how little you were moving. Initially, you would move every now and then when your body felt stiff or to whisper under your breath so only he could hear you.
Now though, Will didn’t want to say it, you were deathly silent.
He shoved all his negative thoughts aside, deciding to deal with them later because the biggest problem he had was staring at him mockingly. How did his life come to such a point point that stairs scared him?
Luck must’ve decided to be nice to him all of a sudden because under five minutes, he safely delivered the two of you on the ground floor. Now, all that was left to do was find a back or front door and get the heck out of this place.
But obviously, fate was laughing down on the Halstead’s because luck ran as fast as she could, after only three minutes of doing her job because Will was facing down two familiar looking men decked out in all black.

Tumblr media
It’s bad. you can’t keep dreaming of him. With him. Of the things you want him to do to you.
“He is my brother” you repeat, knowing very well that he really isn’t. But to the rest of the world, he is like it. To you, even. And every night, since he moved back home, you’ve been dealing with your unacceptable needs…
Kisuke needed to come back home, he had had a serious fight with Yoruichi, and she had enough of him. In fact, you took her side, but you couldn’t let him sleep on a hotel. He can sometimes be… annoying, and a bad boyfriend. But he is not a bad person; Kisuke loses track of time when working at the lab and puts almost everything into one investigation…
Your throat feels dry. Your body sweated. It’s a hot night, summer should have left the town, but it seems to be reluctant to do so. With a silky white sleep gown, you go downstairs for a cup of water. However, you knew too well the thirst wouldn’t be satisfied this way.
Everything seems silent, Kisuke should be sleeping in the couch -or that’s what it seems to you –. But it turned it was just the sheets he never tents.
You hurry up, chugging the glass of cold water to cool your heat quickly. Yet, the moon outside catches your attention and you begin to day dream of those times where both of you were younger and met for the first time…
His father and your mother had married, and both being almost adults didn’t find it too terrible. As college represented a higher worry in your lives you simply accepted the new assembled family, discovering a high connection in between you and him. Kisuke soon left home for uni and some years after he started working at a laboratory he is now closer to preside.
And all throughout those years, and from the very first time you saw his face, you accepted loving him was off limits, even if your heart ached for him…
You sighed, with blurred eyes fixed on the argentum shine of the moon outside the window. But a pair of hands suddenly surrounded your waist from behind.
“Wha-?” you asked, scared. “Daydreaming? You look sad, (Name)-san… what happened?” Kisuke asks, resting his chin on your shoulder. His messy blonde hair grazing your cheek and neck, his sweet perfume reaching you, the warmth of his embrace feeling so holy and so terrible at the same time.
You take some seconds to answer. Growing up, Kisuke has always been very physically close to you and your family members. You couldn’t say it was just because he enjoyed touching you. You couldn’t simply push him away.
“I am ok, I was just remembering old times. That’s it. You should go back to sleep… or go to sleep for once. I know you are investigating something important, but your health should matter a little bit more, Kisuke” you scold him, as you’ve always done.
“Aaaa~ah… my older sister will always do this, huh? Not even the years that have passed changed you, huh?” he jokes, hugging you so tight, pulling you so close to his body that your breathing cuts short.
Your eyes open wide, when you can clearly feel the whole entirety of his flesh against yours. From his chest on your back, to his hipbones on the small of your back.
“Wh- stop it, for real. Go to sleep. I am tired too…” you stutter; the trembling in your voice can’t be hide, the anxiety rising inside you either.
“You are clearly sad, let’s go” he chimes, turning you around and lifting you up in his arms. He is quite tall and despite not having a huge frame, he is very strong. And no matter how much you could kick and hit his back with your fists, he isn’t letting you go. Instead, Kisuke laughs happily.
When he gets to your room, he throws you on the bed. Your heart pumps faster, and you can only repeat for yourself  “he is playing, he is your brother”.
“Make some space, I won’t go away until either you tell me what is going on or you fall asleep” he says, snuggling right by your side.
You are still unable to speak and can barely blink. You fix your gaze on the ceiling of your room; a soft blueish light kisses the walls and your skins. Kisuke hugs you, and your senses intensify. The sound of your breathing, the sound of his reverberates in your mind. Your heart pumps more and more blood and all of it seems to be going to one place only; your core.
He hugs you closer, turning you to side so that your nose ends up being inches from his chest. Kisuke is someone who finds trouble with keeping basic hygiene, but tonight his skin smells deliciously tempting.
You feel your head spinning, like your soul is about to leave your body. This is not ok. This is wrong. This is bad. He is your brother… he is not.
“Kisuke… can you go sleep in the couch?” you ask, painfully. The tone in your voice holds the aching need of a beast inside you. Your hands are sweaty, you are drowning in guilt but also in lust… if you move a single muscle more, it will be to kiss him.
“Why- I even bathe. Why I can’t sleep with my older sister??” he asks, and it seems to you that he knows exactly what he is doing. Urahara Kisuke is a genius, he probably knows… in fact, he always has.
“STOP CALLING ME OLDER SISTER. I AM NOT YOUR SISTER!” You snap, pushing him away and turning around. It’s either mistreating him or ruining your family. But when did Kisuke ever cared about morals?
He comes closer, this time spooning you. His hands so shamefully passing around your waist and landing down your belly button. The warmth of his breathe reaches your nape, while his nose buries in between your hair.
“You are my sister… and I don’t care…” the scientist whispers, torturing you with his lips lingering over your skin.
It all turns bumpy, and your muscles stiffen. You need him, you want him. Your body succumbs to the most depraved lust ever existing. Your back arches just enough for your buttocks to graze his now growing hardness.
“Kisuke… don’t do this” you beg, as his hands slide down your waist towards your hips. He pulls you against his crotch, this time with no absolute delicacy, to make sure you feel he is as horny as you are.
His hardness feels sinfully exquisite, and you can’t stop yourself from moving your ass from side to side; you want him desperate, so fucking needy. You want him to be even able to feel the wetness pulling in between your legs and perhaps even dampening your inner thighs.
And oh, he notices immediately after his pants are down. Enough of the smooth player, he can’t wait to taste you no more.
Your thighs receive his warm sex right in between them, closer to your now dripping panties but not enough to touch your labia. You squeeze your legs to trap him, as his hands now free your breasts from above your night gown. Kisuke’s fingers feel wonderfully pinching your nipples.
“Should I continue, my sweet sister ~?” he asks, rejoicing in the word sister because it is as sick and depraved, and it is also turning you on more than what you could ever expect.
Oh, the guilt, what a big kink.
“Fuck me… brother” “With great pleasure”
Kisuke immediately turns you around, topping you with no shame. His hand landing on your cheek, his lips approaching yours. Crossing any line ever traced, two mouths crashing in total concupiscence; two tongues dancing in pure sin.
Your step brother pulls your panties down, as both kiss with total passion. His fingers quickly reach for your wet flower, it even surprises that you are dripping so much.
“You are so incredible wet, how needy are you?” he asks, in between lip bites. “I need you inside of me, now. Now, please” you moan, leaving any reason behind, allowing your desires to take full control of your consciousness.
Kisuke doesn’t really need to finger you nor prepare your entrance, your walls are desperately hungry to feel stretch by him. He smirks, the strings of his precum that were forming on his tip and pooling on your belly button are the sweet show of how much he needs you too.
The blonde guides his hardness to your entrance, he doesn’t even need to move further as it slides so perfectly inside. He stays, for some seconds, right by your entrance making you curl your back and turn your eyes white from pleasure. He knows, he perfectly understands how your body works and how to make you pull from the bedsheets.
And right before he goes deep, with a ram than feels like breaking you in half, your eyes fix into each other’s.
His hips begin to move, but your eyes couldn’t. There was a feeling of deep connection and also intense regret in them. But most importantly, and despite all guilt, both felt like there wasn’t a safest place than each other’s embrace.
Kisuke goes deep as much as you buck up your hips, joining your cores almost inevitably willing to melt into one. He lets himself fall on top of you, while you hug his waist to keep him trapped inside of you. Kissing desperately, breathing moaning, drinking the other’s grunts and little “nhngs” and “fucks”.
Climax coming. Climax taking over. His flesh slapping yours, both sweating but never letting go. Your nails leaving the trace of their path engraved in his pale back.
Kisuke believes is not enough deepness and pulls you up to finally sit on his lap still penetrating you. Your legs around his waist, his nesting you around. His hands pressing on the small of your back and yours on his nape.
Explosively finishing in heaven, two sinful souls that have just condemned themselves to the infinite void of hell…
“I wanted you since the day I met you” ; “I wanted you too… but this is wrong…” “Wrong would be not doing it, sister ~”

No Doctors (Sam and Dean Winchester x sibling!reader)
Warnings: needles I guess
Parings: sam Winchester X sibling!reader, Dean Winchester x sibling!reader
Prompt: you’re a hunter scared of needles idk I went to urgent care the other day and I hate needles.
Word Count: 1,044
Tumblr media
Sam, Dean, and you, their younger, nineteen year old half sibling have seen a lot, obviously. Hunters? You see vampires, werewolves, ghosts. But as a Winchester you see so much more. The three of you have saved the world quite a few times. It is safe to say not much phases the Winchesters.
But you, Y/N Winchester has one big fear, needles. When Sam injected Demon Dean with human blood, you could not watch. It wasn’t because of your big brother’s yells of pain, but because you cannot even look at a needle. So when Sam and Dean told you that you HAD to see a doctor, you put it off until it was too late. Now your legs were covered in red spots. The spots were not inflamed or itching. They looked like bleeding under the skin, which means its less like a rash. Google did not help ease Sam and Dean’s worries about you.
“Y/N damn it, we have to rule out anything serious,” Dean told you.
“I am fine,” you insisted.
“Google says you have one week to live,” your older brother furrowed his eyebrows, showing you his google search on his smart phone.
“Google is not a doctor,” you rolled your eyes.
“That is why we have to take you to a doctor. Right Sam?”
Sam nods in agreement.
“Look, if Cas was here, he could figure it out, but he isn’t. We are going to urgent care,” Dean demanded. “Now get your ass to my car.”
You looked over to Sam and back to Dean, fear in your eyes. You knew what this meant, bloodwork. You could not do bloodwork. Just seeing a needle makes you sick to your stomach. The last time you had bloodwork done, you threw up. When you had to get your Covid vaccines, you took your brothers with you. It worked because they ended up getting theirs as well, but when it came to your turn, your brothers had to distract you so you didnt see the needle. You held Dean’s hands and almost broke his fingers as the needle went into your flesh.
“Dean, doctors are scary. All they do is poke at you with needles,” you frowned at your older brother.
“Sam and I will both be there by your side,” Dean insisted.
And so here you are now. The walking to the lab with your brothers at your side. You look for all possible exists to run out of here, but you know its no use. Dean would drag you back if he has to. The lab nurse sits you down in the chair and looks for a good vein. Shit. It’s going to happen. Your eyes follow her hands as she pulls out all the tubes that will be soon filled with your blood. The things is you’re not grossed out by the idea of seeing your own blood, its kind of cool actually. But knowing how it gets in there is too much.
You see her take out the needle and your instincts kick in. You jump out of your seat before your brothers push you back. Dean holds you down on the chair and you look at him with tears in your eyes.
“Don’t look at me like that kid,” Dean sighs, a guilty expression coming across his face. “I just want to make sure you’re okay.”
“I am fine! And when we find out that nothing is wrong you’re going to be sorry,” you spit.
Sam holds the hand of the arm that the nurse will draw blood from, not just to keep it steady, but to calm you down.
“You are a fighter, you are strong, you got this,” Sam tells you. “Just don’t look, and then you won’t feel it, okay?” You nod at Sam. “Attagirl. Now don’t look at me, or else you’ll see the needle too. Look at Dean.”
“Yeah, look at me,” Dean cuts in. You look up at your eldest brother. “Good job.”
“I’m not a child,” you remind Dean.
“Yeah, yeah. You’re a kid compared to Sam and I,” Dean chuckles.
“Well yeah, Sam is old and you’re ancient,” you tease.
“Ancient?” Dean fakes an offended expression.
“Yeah. So ancient that when the Egyptians built the pyramids, they looked at you and said ‘Wow that man is ancient.’”
Sam laughs but plays it off as a cough when Dean shoots a look at him. You feel a cotton ball on your arm as the nurse wraps the bandage on your arm.
“All done,” she smiles. “You can go to the waiting room and as soon as we get your results, you’ll be notified.”
You’re surprised and relieved to find out its done and over with. And you didn’t feel a thing.
“You did it kid,” Dean smiles at you.
“We are proud of you,” Sam ruffles your hair.
“I’m almost twenty don’t talk to me like I’m a child,” you get up and push past your brothers.
They follow you into the waiting room and sit by your side. Sam wraps an arm around you while you’re all pouty and embarrassed.
“We aren’t babying you or anything,” Sam sighs. “You have a genuine fear, and you faced it. We know you’re an adult. You are capable of doing a lot, you are a badass hunter. A Winchester.”
You nod, not so confidently. You and your brothers watch the TV in the waiting room where some old cowboy movie is playing. Dean is loving it, but you just want to get your results and go back home. After twenty minutes, a doctor comes out with a clipboard.
“You are fine, your blood came back clean. And over the counter rash cream should be able to help. You are free to go home,” she tells you.
Dean scoffs, and Sam looks confused. To be fair, you don’t understand either, you know its not a rash, it doesn’t look like a rash. But it can’t be what Dean looked up either if the bloodwork came back clean so its clearly nothing serious. As the doctor walks away, you glare at your older brothers.
“See, I knew bloodwork was a waste of time.”
Dean shrugs as Sam says, “Better safe than sorry.”

*A YEAR LATER. 2007*
“Here we go!” Shoko exclaims before she and Suguru hurl school supplies at your brother. And of course, only the eraser hits his forehead, whilst the pencil Suguru threw stops because of Satoru’s infinity.
Which is ridiculous by the way, he’s much harder to torment with his infinity on all the time nowadays.
“Yeah, it’s working,” Satoru says as he grabs the floating pencil.
“Ugh,” Shoko groans. “What the heck was that?”
“Automatic selection of targets for your Jujutsu technique?” Suguru questions from behind you.
Satoru nods. “Yup. Though, to be precise I’m the target for the technique,” he explains, making you sigh out of boredom and lean back against Suguru’s legs.
Why does your brother want you here again? To watch him show off? It’s really annoying when he doesn’t explain things right off the bat.
“I’ve automated what I used to do manually,” he continues to say. “Now it can discern an object's danger level based on the strength of its cursed energy, its mass, its velocity, and its shape. I’d like to get it to discern poisons, too, but that’s still proving to be difficult. This will allow me to keep my Limitless technique active almost perpetually with minimal resources.”
“Having it perpetually active will fry your brain,” Shoko points out exactly what you worried about when he told you a couple days back.
“But I can also keep running the reverse cursed technique with the energy I generate on my own,” Satoru explains to her exactly what he told you. “So I’m constantly giving it a fresh brain to work with. I’d already been working on shortening my hand seals. That’s nailed now, too. So I can also activate multiple instances of Blue and Red simultaneously. The only remaining hurdles are Domain Expansion and teleportation over long distances. I should be able to get that down if we set up some courses without any obstacles in Jujutsu High. Shoko,” he calls out and leans forward. “Could you lend me some lab rats?”
“Uh…” she questions. “Well, you have y/n here.”
You furrow your eyebrows and throw your hands up slightly to retort. “Hey!”
Shoko snickers and you roll your eyes before you then shoot your brother a smirk. “What about my cursed technique? Will you learn to protect yourself against me?” You tease him. “With the right amount of power I could definitely break through your infinity.”
Satoru turns his head towards you and tilts his head down before he scoffs. “As if,” he counters smugly. “You’d never be able to hurt me.”
You don’t let that tear you down, you actually grow smug too. “I don’t know man, the air definitely can. I am getting stronger.”
So much so that just last week you got assigned to a mission with your brother, and Yaga says you’ll get assigned to more together because he says your techniques work well together. Which must mean something because the only way your brother and you get assigned to missions together is for the rare group missions you get assigned to.
You still are getting assigned with Nanami and Haibara because you are in the same class, and your teamwork is absurdly well. But it does seem like you’re finally growing strength wise.
It makes you wonder what your parents think about it?
“Well we’ll see won’t we?” Satoru counters your comment. “That’s actually why I asked you to be here,” he finally reveals. “I need you to hit me with your cursed technique.”
You pull your shades down and grin at him. “Oh? You should’ve said that from the beginning!” You exclaim and push yourself away from Suguru to summon air to your hand as you raise it to get ready to lash at him.
However, he throws the eraser at you as he interjects. “Not yet, idiot.”
You pout with disappointment and watch the eraser fall at your feet.
“Suguru,” Satoru calls out next. “Have you lost weight? You okay?”
Your smile fades at the sound of his comment, and when you peer back at your boyfriend you frown with pity. He looks exhausted—well you’ve noticed that he’s looked exhausted for a while now. Just like you’ve noticed that he’s lost weight too.
You like to think it’s just overwork, getting assigned to missions alone must be exhausting, but the truth is you’ve noticed that something has been wrong with Suguru a couple of months after Toji Fushiguro killed Riko; after you entered that damn non-sorcerer cult who cheered over the death of an innocent girl. At first it was subtle signs like sleepless nights, things that you told yourself not to worry about, stuff he told you not to worry about. But he then began to grow distant with your friends, with you. He often lacked motivation, he didn’t show affection, and if he did it almost felt forced, like it cost him a lot of energy.
Suguru also smiled a lot less, and his eyes…his dark eyes have begun to look dull. You try and try to make him feel better, you try to help him in any way you can without pressuring him, but he keeps pushing you away. He’s like a…fading light at the end of a tunnel, no matter how much you want it to reach it, the light grows smaller and smaller.
It hurts, it really does, but he’s not accepting help, so you’re respecting his choice and just trying your best to be there for him in the best way you can. You love him after all. You don’t want to give up on him.
“It’s just heat fatigue,” Suguru assures Satoru. “I’ll be fine.”
“Did you eat too much somen?” Satoru asks cluelessly. Which leads you to wonder if he’s finally noticed Suguru’s distance too. You have brought up your concern for Suguru, but Satoru brushed you off saying Suguru was just exhausted. You’ve never tried since. Especially because as of late Satoru is often busy. Being the strongest comes with a lot of responsibility after all.
You just hope Suguru will feel better soon, that he’ll let you help him at the very least.
“Anyway, y/n, hit me.” Satoru calls for your attention, but you let your eyes linger on Suguru.
He seems to notice and meets your gaze, so you offer him a soft smile. Suguru blinks in surprise before he gives you a faint half smile before he looks away again and loses his gaze on Satoru.
It makes you want to embrace him, give him a small peck, or pull him aside, but your brother steals your attention again. “Hit me with something small, something normal.”
You swallow back before you sigh and return your attention to your brother. “Define normal?” You pick on his comment since it makes no sense.
“Just hit me with your air whiplash,” he explains in annoyance. “Something not too strong, just something you use on, uh, low curses.”
You blow out air and effortlessly summon air to form on your palm, causing the dirt and dust on the ground to pick up softly.
“Okay,” you warn your brother. “Here it goes.” You then proceed to fling your wrist. And just as the orb leaves your hand you manage to maneuver it into a curved line that you lash out at him instead.
But of course the air doesn’t even touch him, it breaks apart around him and flutters away.
“See you can’t touch me,” Satoru rebuttals with a cocky smirk.
You scoff with discontent and stand up. “Okay, all powerful sorcerer, let me hit you with all I got,” you challenge him as you begin to summon more air to your palm.
Satoru snickers and lifts his chin. “Hit me with all you got sis.”
You shoot him a grin and make the still air turn to strong gusts of wind that make Shoko shield her head from the dirt you pick up. You then shift a foot back and draw in a deep breath as the orb in your hand grows.
Satoru places a hand on his hip and looks at you with nonchalance which gets you fired up.
“We are in a courtyard you two,” Shoko points out loudly so she can be heard over the howling wind. “Whatever you break you have to replace—then again it’s not like it’ll make a dent in your money.”
“Ready?” You ask Satoru.
Your brother nods, but just before you can hit him you get a message so you check that first and actually lose all concentration as you see that it's an old non-sorcerer friend.
“Oh my god!” You exclaim. “Satoru guess who just texted me?!” You run over to him and show him the name on the phone. “It’s Suki!” You face your friends and grin. “Suki is Satoru’s ex-girlfriend from our junior high days.”
“Oh right!” Your brother exclaims. “She was your best friend, I completely blanked.”
You roll your eyes and scoff. “Yeah, my best friend, I told you not to date.”
Shoko slouches as she snickers. “Please tell me you got him back for that.”
You flash her a grin and skip back to her. “Oh totally, I dated this rival he had, he was—”
“An asshole,” Satoru finishes for you, which you agree to.
“But,” you add. “He did have long dark red hair he’d dye all the time,” you say thoughtfully whilst you put your phone away.
“Long hair?” Shoko questions. “Oh so it’s like that?”
You blink in confusion and query. “What?”
Shoko glances back at Suguru and snickers. “Oh nothing. Just an observation.”
You look at Suguru, and he meets your gaze to share the same confusion. Albeit his confusion isn’t so prominent on his face.
“I don’t understand,” you mutter and glance back at Shoko. “Elaborate.”
“Well isn’t it obvious you have a thing for guys with…” before you can finish hearing what she had to say her voice trails off as you get startled by an arm thrown around your throat.
There’s only one person not accounted for in front of you; your fucking brother. So it isn’t hard to guess who it was.
“Get the fuck off me you psycho!” You grimace as you grip his arm to try and pull it off.
Your brother chuckles. “You said you wanted to train more. I have time, we’re training.”
You try to kick back, but he easily evades your kicks.
“Satoru,” Suguru finally breaks his silence.
Said man groans. “Don’t worry, Suguru, I'm just helping her because an enemy will never announce when they’re moving against you now will they—“ he comes to a sudden halt as you bite down on his arm after you realize his infinity is off.
It’s the only way his arm would actually touch you.
“What the hell?!” Satoru exclaims and lets go of you to walk back in disbelief. “Did you bite me?”
You do what he wanted this time and summon fast and strong gusts of air to your hand quicker than before. You then spin around without warning and lash it out at him.
You can’t tell if it hit him at all because you proceed to charge at him.
Just before you can reach him though you jump up high above the buildings that surround you. Satoru doesn’t hesitate to smirk before he steps back and jumps up too to try and meet you halfway in mid-air. However, before he can reach you, you counter him by spinning around in the air as you summon wind to your foot to lash out a sharp and strong curved line of air from your foot.
And it seems that some gusts of wind seem to travel through the infinity because he falters in the air.
Nevertheless, it’s not enough to knock him back to the ground or catch him completely off guard because just as you’re turning your body to face him again in the air, your brother grabs ahold of your ankle and quickly flips you around to throw you back to the ground.
And since he is a lot stronger and faster you fail at landing on your feet and land on your back.
The impact hurts, but you muster a playful smile before he lands over you and immediately grabs you by the collar of your jumpsuit to lift your head off the ground.
“Satoru,” Shoko calls out with worry while he raises his fist over you.
Neither of you try to assure her, you look into each other's eyes with no ill feeling, just playful undertones as you wait for him to land a finishing hit.
He doesn’t however, he hesitates, so you take advantage of this moment and gather air to your hand before you slam your hand on his throat, causing him to be thrown back whilst the air in his lungs is knocked out.
“Fuck,” you chuckle and push yourself up, seeing that your brother only landed a foot away from you since your techqinue isn’t strong, and well, he is strong.
“That was a rush. You like that move though?” You ask as you walk over to him. “I call it a knockout. As long as I can touch your throat I can use my cursed technique to throw you back and manipulate the air in your body to knock it out of your lungs.” You chuckle. “Of course, it only works if that person or thing has cursed energy. Otherwise, pft.” You stop and see your brother catching his breath.
“You hesitated,” you point out smugly before you offer him your hand.
Satoru sighs with defeat, but he doesn’t hesitate to slap his hand on yours to let you help him up.
Once he’s on his feet his frown breaks into a proud grin. “Are you okay?” He asks as he slaps his hands on your shoulders.
You nod. “Nothing RCT won’t fix,” you assure him, and instinctively put your hand back so he can give you a high-five.
“Nice work,” he compliments you. “Of course sloppy but good thinking. Plus some of that air did touch me.”
“Well,” you point out as you begin to walk back to your friends now standing on the stone steps. “Air travels fast. So I'm not surprised some gusts of air did touch you. I mean I know it’s not much, but it is some.”
“Keep working on that,” he adds. “And you’ll actually be able to knock me down.”
You smile and turn around to walk back and face him. “Don’t make yourself an easy target though,” you tell him. “It doesn’t matter if I’m your sister.”
Satoru laughs softly. “Trust me I won’t,” he rebuttals.
You reach the step below Suguru and spin around on your heels to face him. However, you notice that he’s on his phone so you wait to speak to him.
“I’ll just say this,” Shoko interjects. “I'm sure a lot of people would pay a lot of money to watch you two fight.”
You lean towards Suguru to press your cheek against his shoulder as you respond to Shoko. “If I were to win, would you quit smoking?” You tease her.
Shoko narrows her gaze on you for a moment while she thinks.
“If you lose, would you smoke?” She rebuttals.
You laugh. “You sound like an addict. Answer me first.” Because jokes on her, you've already smoked with Suguru. You didn’t like the smell it left on your fingers, but you didn’t feel as disgusted that time.
“Fine,” Shoko says with a sigh. “If you were to win I would quit smoking.”
You smile at her brightly. “Ah, good then I’ll make sure to win,” you assure her. Which probably is no comfort at all to her, but you still do so confidently.
“I’d like to see that,” Satoru taunts.
“You will,” you remark. “I’ll beat you. One day.”
Satoru laughs softly and nods. “All right I like the sound of that.”
You smile softly and then back up to look at Suguru.
He has his phone down now and looks at you this time around. Albeit there's something off about the way he looks at you right now that makes your heart jump with gut-wrenching worry.
“I have to leave for my mission now,” he announces to you and the others.
You sigh sadly. “It’s already time?” You complain.
Suguru hums in agreement softly and focuses solely on you now. “Can we talk before I leave?”
Your smile falters as you detect how much colder his voice is. “Yeah, sure,” you answer hesitantly.
Suguru nods softly before he takes your hand and begins pulling you away gently.
“Be careful, Suguru!” Saturo yells out. “Text me!”
Suguru throws back a wave to his friend and doesn’t bother to look back. He doesn't bother to make conversation with you either, and since you feel worry grow within you, you stay quiet too.
It’s only once you're in the tunnel exit that he finally stops walking and faces you with that same gloomy look. Albeit now he can’t even meet you in the eyes.
“Is everything okay?” You ask softly as you grab ahold of his bicep.
Suguru nods stiffly. “Yeah,” he mutters.
You don’t believe him, but you know you won’t get anything else, so you move on. “How long is your mission? You didn’t tell me. Maybe we can do something when you come back home?” You ask.
Suguru swallows thickly and shakes his head. “Y/N...I don’t think this going to work.”
You scoff softly. “I can go to your room, that’s fine. I can even have some food waiting for you. Hm?”
“No,” he counters softly and slowly lifts his gaze to look at you with a long frown and a sorrowful look. “I mean, we have to break up.”
The smile on your smile immediately falls, and your heart sinks. You know you heard him right, there’s nothing going around you to make you mishear him, but you still don’t want to believe those tragic words that just came out of his mouth. “I,” you gasp and let go of his arm. “I don’t understand.”
Tears fill your eyes, and your mind itself begins to race, leaving no room for coherent thoughts.
“D-did I do something wrong?” You ask as you fight the need to cry. “I know things haven’t been the same but Suguru I can help you, just let me help you, please.”
Suguru let’s out a deep breath and looks at the ground to shake his head. “No, you didn’t do anything wrong, y/n
I need you to understand that,” he says and meets your gaze. “You were good, I just…I can’t do this anymore. You deserve better than me.”
Better than him? What does that even mean? He is good, he’s the best, he’s your world.
“No,” you argue and step forward to pull his hand out of his pockets. “I don’t want anyone else, I just want you. Suguru…please talk to me, I’m right here, please.”
Suguru steps back and sighs. “I can’t,” he continues to say. “I can’t drag you along with me anymore. I’m letting you go, y/n. It’s for you own good.”
Tears slip out of your eyes and frustration begins to grow within you over his vague explanations. “You’re being selfish,” you remark. “What do you know about what I need? You keep pushing me away. Everytime…every single time I-I try to get close you push me away. So you can’t tell me what I need.”
Due to your upbringing, it’s hard for you to express yourself in any way, anger, happiness, sadness. Satoru has kind of changed that because he lets you talk to him, but even then when you get frustrated expressing yourself is hard and usually turns to tears. So to express this kind of anger without breaking into a sobbing mess is truly significant. It even surprises you, but anger is all you can feel at this very moment as you face the man you love, as you try to progress the words he’s using to break your heart, as you look into his dark eyes that hide sorrow behind that hard serious expression.
“What I need,” you mutter and step forward with more tears. “Is for you to give me a good reason. We said we’d be honest, please be honest with me.” You clutch your chest and look at him helplessly and hurt. “Please, Suguru.”
Said man holds your gaze for a second before he averts his eyes and nods stiffly. “I did tell you the truth. That was it. I can’t be with you, and you can’t be with me. Not as I am, so please just let it go. For your own sake, y/n.”
You feel physically ill, like you’re going to throw up, or have some kind of attack with the way your heart is racing.
“So that’s it then? That shitty ass excuse?” You cry softly and step back. “Look at me,” you whisper as if you’re out of breath.
Suguru blinks and does as you ask.
“Is that it?” You ask whilst you begin to hear tires approach at the end of the tunnel.
Suguru doesn’t say anything, but you leave him space to explain himself, to give you something better than what you got. You deserve something better, no? All the love you have, the memories you share, the moments you lived need to mean something, no?
You express that all with your watery gaze and with your lips parted ready to fight back. And you know he knows that.
But even still, he leaves you just like that.
“Okay. I…” you try to find something to say but all your anger disappears now just as fast as it came. “I,” that’s all you can muster in your disbelief and growing ache.
“Y/N,” Suguru whispers.
You sniffle and look to see the manager pull up to take Suguru away to his mission, so you step back with your lips parted and your hands trembling.
Suguru steps forward to try and what? Assure you after he broke your heart?
Fuck him.
You turn around and storm away without letting him say anything else, without saying anything else yourself.
You just can’t think anymore, it all hurts, this pain like no other completely overwhelms you to the point you can’t even shed another tear.
You know he’s struggling with something he doesn’t want to say, but you thought he’d be someone who didn’t give up regardless. You thought he’d be someone to give you something more than some shitty excuse, but he wasn’t, he isn’t.
He ended it just like that, everything, a years worth of a relationship is over because of something you don’t even know about. Some selfish reason.
It’s all over…
So what do you do now? You don’t know what to do. You can’t go back to where Satoru is, you’ll break and you don’t want to break and start drama. You can’t go on a mission today because you didn’t get assigned to one. You need to do something…
“Y/N!” You hear Shoko shout.
Shit, shit.
You stop just before you can reach the dorms and draw in a deep breath to try and hide your agony. You can’t cry, so it should be good. Right?
“Back already?” Your friend laughs as she catches up to you. “I’m surprised.”
You exhale and slap on a nonchalant look before you turn and face her with a tiny smile. “Yeah,” you breathe out. “I’m back.”
Shoko stops before you and meets your gaze with a smirk. You smile at her but as you look into your friends eyes your smile begins to tremble and those tears that dried up due to your disbelief come rushing back.
Shoko notices right away and her face falls with concern. “Whoa, is everything okay?” She asks right away and reaches her hand over to grab your arm.
You part your lips and fight your tears as you nod. Shoko scoffs and holds your gaze to try and read what has you on the brink of tears after you saw someone who never fails to make you smile.
She struggles a bit but she then understands what happened without needing you to explain. You wouldn't be crying otherwise.
“Oh,” she breathes out and doesn’t fail to throw her arms around you, causing you to finally break and sob—“he’s an asshole. He is.”
You try to speak, but nothing comes out but a soft whimper as you hug her back tightly.
“Come on,” she whispers and pulls back with her hand sliding down to grab yours. “Let’s go inside. I have all your favorite things in there.”
You’ve had girl friends before, you have cousins, but never one as important as Shoko. Out of everyone, she’s the only one who's touched your heart, the only one you’ve grown to love.
“Here,” Shoko mumbles and sits you down on her bed. “I'll bring the fuzzy socks and the cigarettes? No,” she scoffs to herself. “Alcohol? Fuck…” she trails off and walks to her drawer full of snacks and other things you both may need when you sync up on your periods.
“Ah, never mind, I found just the thing.” She pulls out a pack of your favorite snacks and throws them on the bed along with other things she has stored inside.
“I will take a beer,” you mumble as you put the fuzzy socks on your feet. “And maybe…”
Shoko swipes baggy shirts off her rack and throws them on the bed, making you smile softly over the fact that she already knew. It makes you grateful for her.
“So,” you interject as you put the baggy shirt on. “Have you decided to go on another date with that guy from Kyoto?” You ask her.
Shoko walks over to leave the beers on the bed while she also begins to change. “Yeah,” she mutters. “I decided I’ll go for it, I mean why not? He was a lot of fun.”
You sniffle and lay back on the bed with a pack of snacks and a cold beer in hand. “That’s good…dates are a lot of fun…” you trail off and feel tears fill your eyes all over again.
Now you try to hold yourself back, try to think of something else, but you can’t help the emotions from coming out like word vomit. “Do you think he stopped loving me?”
Shoko hops around to face you whilst she puts shorts on, and proceeds to sigh deeply before she responds with a reassuring tone. “No, I don’t think so. I just think there’s more going on with Suguru. But I don’t think he stopped loving you.” She finishes changing into her comforting clothes and jumps on the bed beside you with her beer and savory snacks.
“Maybe you were right,” you bring up as you drag yourself to sit up and lean your back against the wall. “Dating people you see everyday was a terrible idea. I’m going to have to see him all the time now…it’s going to be so awkward.”
Shoko sighs again and opens your beer can for you since your manicured nails get in the way. “Well,” she says. “I don’t know, maybe I wasn’t right.”
You take the beer and look over at her. “You were,” you correct her.
Shoko grabs her own beer and then meets your gaze. “Well, it depends, doesn't it?” She asks as she opens her own beer.
You sniffle and look at her puzzled. However, you don’t get to ask before she explains herself. “I just mean, Suguru looks like he’s going through something, you can’t blame him for that because some people like that just think it’s for the best.”
You blink in confusion. “People like what?” You probe. “Depressed?” It’s not hard to guess or identify on Suguru, it’s the only explanation for his sudden change.
“Yeah.” Shoko nods and takes a long swig from her beer before she continues on. “And knowing him he thinks he’s dragging you along, that he’s not, I don’t know, enough? I mean you met him when he was confident about his strength, now so many things are changing, and he’s taking that hard and doubting himself.”
With the way she acts so nonchalant and carefree you forget she’s studying to be a doctor, so she always impresses you when she behaves all doctor-like.
“I don’t care if he’s the weakest,” you say shakily so you take a drink of your beer before going on. “He’s enough for me in any way. So I don’t get it…he really hurt me.”
Shoko takes a long drink before she leans back against the wall and wraps her arm around your shoulders to pull you against her. “I know,” she whispers. “I'm sorry.”
A soft sob escapes past your lips, making Shoko hold onto you tighter.
“Look, I’m going to say this completely unbiased,” she interjects as she rests her head on yours. “Fight for him. I know it sounds super cheesy, but do it. You guys make each other happy, and you know fighting for someone doesn’t always have to mean the guy, you can fight too.”
You nod. “I know,” you whisper. “But what if I try and he gives up completely?”
Shoko exhales deeply. “Then you let him go. But I think you should try, and maybe try and reach him too. He doesn’t want to talk to me.”
“Or me.” You sigh and pull back to take a sip of your beer. “I’m just…scared.”
Shoko nods. “I understand, but won’t trying at least satisfy you? If it doesn’t work at least you can say you tried—my parents,” she begins saying and averts her gaze. “They went through a rough patch when I was young, but they fought for each other and came back stronger. Now they’re all sappy and hardly ever apart.”
You laugh softly. “Are you comparing me to your parents?” You ask.
Shoko rolls her eyes. “I'm giving you an example,” she quips. “Fight, or don’t and you’ll find someone else with long hair.”
You tilt your head in confusion whilst you take a drink. “I don’t get it,” you mumble.
Shoko snickers. “You totally dig guys with long hair,” she points out.
Your ex had long hair, Suguru has long hair now and it was also longish before. And all your celebrity crushes—oh. You get it, maybe you do have a type.
“That’s so stupid,” you say breathlessly. “And who knew you’re such a sap, Shoko?” You giggle.
She shrugs nonchalantly and surprises you by downing the rest of her drink in one last go. When she’s done she throws her can to the ground and lays back on her bed.
“You tell anyone I’ll tear your closet,” she threatens, making you drink the rest of your drink so you can lay beside her.
“Besides,” she adds and slides her hand over to interlace her fingers with yours. “You're both my friends, and you’re my best friend. We live together, so I see more than you do, more than anyone, and I know that it’s worth fighting for. If it wasn’t, trust me I would tell you.”
Rather than smiling you frown as that fear that always accompanies you makes you think of the worst. “And if it doesn’t work?” You ask as if she actually knew that answer. After all it seems she had loving parents, it’s why she’s giving you this advice. But you? Your parents are the complete opposites from her parents, they never fought for each other, you never saw them being any kind of affectionate. So this doubt creeping inside you isn’t out of the blue, it's a real terrorizing fear you have experienced.
“If it doesn’t work?” Shoko responds and lifts her head to look at the same time you tilt your head down to look at her. “Then you let it go, plain and simple. I’m sure it’ll hurt, but you’ll get over it, plus I’ll be here, your brother is oddly good at comforting you. We’ll all be here.”
You let out a shaky breath and show her your thanks and appreciation by resting your head on her shoulder.
“I’m glad you’re here,” you tell her softly.
Shoko rests her head on yours and sighs softly. “I’m glad you’re here too.”
You rest your eyes and try to stop crying as you do feel some kind of reassurance, but those tears still come out since the wound didn’t actually heal. No matter what resolve you figured out, that doesn’t actually change what happened. Suguru and you still are broken up—
That’s so weird to think about. So weird to say in your mind. It’s…unbelievable, and painful.
But at least you have Shoko.

*A COUPLE DAYS LATER*
So much for the hope of it all. So much for more than anything. So much for it all. You tried so hard to date around your brother, you didn’t fight much but you fought against his protests. And just as he was barely getting around to fully accepting it, Suguru ruins it.
Now, you’ll have to live on awkwardly because what’s the point in trying? He broke up with you, he left you, he hurt you. Why should you try to fix things? Why risk getting your heart torn and stomped on again?
“Right?” You ask yourself while you cover the fireball you make with rocks and dirt you summon off the ground with your cursed technique.
You do miss him, and yes, he was rather distant for the past couple of months, but you still had each other. He still made your day complete even if there were days where you’d only see each other for a few minutes. He still listened and helped you when Satoru was busy. Suguru…was always there, and now even if you live in the same place he’s never with you.
It’s so fucking lonely. It’s so weird. Plus at night it’s even worse, you didn’t sleep together a lot because you’d get in trouble, but you’d sleep with his shirts or his sweaters and you’d be content with his scent that clung onto it. Now it’s just a cruel reminder that he broke your heart.
So it begs the question, should you fight?
Part of you wants to more than anything, but the other part is filled with anger, and fear that he won’t want to fight with you, that he’ll reject you. And yes, you know that if you don’t ask him you’ll never know, but telling him you loved him took so much time because of your stupid fear—or anxiety as Shoko likes to call it (you don’t believe that.) So now telling him to fight for another chance with you will only take even more time to express.
Fuck. Fuck…
You sigh and drop your head, realizing you’re still holding the dirt covered fireball without concentrating it.
At least that’s a plus. But regardless, you’ll keep torturing yourself by overthinking rather than going for it…
As of now though, you let the dirt fall and collect the fire back through your dragon mark before you stand up and exhale deeply.
No more thinking of Suguru. No more thinking of the anger you feel over this breakup. No more thinking of the building up stress you feel over an upcoming mission that you’ll have to travel far for.
Just focus on calming your breaths, on your leg as you slide it forward while you move the other one back. You focus on one arm as you stretch it out to use your cursed technique, and summon some water over to you to cover your arm in its wet body. You use your other hand to tap into your fire and have that begin to twirl around your body, along with the water you move off your arm.
You proceed to take another deep breath and listen for the wind. When you hear it howl by your ear you smile as it seems that it’s calling out to you specifically. You then easily gather some of it and make it twirl around your body along with the fire and water.
Now all that's left is earth, but that’s harder, rougher, and heavier than rest to manipulate, so you save it for later. Instead, you shift to different forms with a peaceful mindset, ending up balancing on the ground with one hand.
Once you're confident with your form you then try to pick some dirt off the ground to have it dance with the rest of the elements around your body, but it’s fucking hard. You can mix your cursed energy well with the dirt and the rocks, so it begins to falter as you lift it off the ground. It makes you lose focus on your calm breaths. And the strain to keep it up makes you open your eyes and causes your body to begin losing balance.
“Hey! Don’t think too much about it!” Someone you don’t recognize yells out, causing you to lose concentration and collapse on the ground.
“Sorry!” They yell out.
That’s so embarrassing. Tsk.
You slowly push yourself to your feet and dust the dirt off you first before you look up and see an impressively tall blond woman with the kindest brown eyes you’ve ever seen.
“It’s nice to finally meet you, Y/N Gojo!” She exclaims with a smug smile when she reaches you by the pond.
Albeit you step back and look at her with confusion. “Uh, pleasure I'm sure, but who are you?” You quirk a brow and study her to check if it’s someone you’ve actually seen before. But no, she isn’t.
“Oh,” she breathes out with disappointment. “I’m Yuki Tsukumo.”
Your eyes widen with awe and a smile breaks on your face. You see her part her lips to add on but you cut her off excitedly, like a fan girl seeing their idol. “Oh my gosh, you’re her!”
Tsukumo’s lips pull to a wide smile and she grows smug again. “Oh, I like the sound of that,” she interjects.
You grin. “You’re the sorcerer who’s always out and defies the higher ups, it’s so cool to finally meet you. I’m a big fan.”
Tsukumo rests her hand on her hip and tilts her head down as she flashes you a sweet grin. “That’s so nice to hear. I didn’t know I was so well known amongst one of the Gojo’s. I’m flattered.”
You scoff. “You’re acting as if I’m royalty,” you quip.
“Well,” she sighs. “You kinda are.”
You roll your eyes and shake your head. “Far from it.” You step forward and continue to look at her with awe. “I need to ask…how did you do it?”
Tsukumo straightens out and looks at you with a confused look. “Do what?” She probes.
Your smile falters and a sigh escapes your lips. “Get strong,” you clarify. “I mean how did you do it all by yourself? You don’t come from one of the big three. I mean I know you came to school, but your reputation? You’re overall poweress? You did that all by yourself, so how? I have the privilege to be born a Gojo, to have a strong brother teaching me, but no matter what I do I continue to struggle.”
Tsukumo's smile turns soft, and her gaze falls on the ground for a moment before she lifts her eyes to meet your gaze with a soft look. “Little by little,” she shares, “I didn’t get strong overnight, I learned and learned. I exhausted myself, but I pushed myself to learn. I for sure as hell didn't listen to any of the old geezers who kept trying to make me hold back.”
You smile softly at that comment.
“But,” she exhales slowly and smirks at you. “I didn’t listen to my head, I trusted myself. I didn't get strong for anyone. I get strong for me. That’s the trick.”
You admire her for a moment before you smile at the ground and nod in comprehension. “I understand, thank you,” you mumble.
“You can be strong and still be a woman, don’t let anyone tell you otherwise,” she adds. “A lot of people, those old geezers included, only look at you one way. Not both. Prove them wrong every step of the way.”
You chuckle softly. “Oh, trust me I know.” You meet her gaze and shoot her a smirk. “Fuck the higher ups.”
Tsukumo grins. “That’s what I’m talking about! I like you!” She throws her fist out, so you gently tap it with your fist and cause her to shoot you wink that gets you all flustered.
“Hey, we should hang out,” she adds. “We’re both special grade and women at that, we’re a rare pair. So we should get to be friends, don’t you think?”
This is like a dream. This is so cool!
But you need to play it cool. Play it cool.
“Yeah I think so,” you hide your excitement. “That would be cool.”
Tsukumo hums softly before she whips her phone out and offers it to you, making you do the same to trade contacts.
“Anyway,” you bring up as you type in your number. “What brings you around here? Are you picking up a mission?”
“No,” she says. “I came back from a trip so I wanted to meet you and the other special grades.”
You hum before you add in, “well Satoru is on a mission, but,” you pause and exhale slowly. “Geto is here. Somewhere.”
This is the longest you’ve gone without thinking about him. It sounds pathetic but its true. And weird.
“I can…find out where he is so you can meet him,” you suggest hesitantly whilst you return your phones to each other.
“Yeah, that would be great, thank you!”
You hum quietly and look at your phone to go and click on his contact.
It’s been a while since you texted him—will he even answer?
You to Suguru: Where are you?
Your heart begins to race as you grow nervous.
“So,” you interject while you wait. “If you don’t mind me asking, Tsukumo, where were you before returning home?”
“Yuki,” she cuts in bluntly. “You don’t have to be formal with me, call me Yuki.”
You smile softly and nod. “Yuki,” you correct yourself. “Where were you before?”
“I was in Singapore.”
Your eyes widen and you can’t help but grin. “Really?” You probe. “I love Singapore.”
Yuki shows off a grin and nods slowly. “It’s beautiful, and the nightlife is great!”
You part your lips to fangirl over her but a message comes in so you keep quiet and feel your heart jump. When you check you inhale deeply.
Suguru: Hall B, why?
You exhale and leave him on read to offer Yuki a feigned and nervous smile. “Geto answered, I can take you to him.”
Without hesitation or wasting more time you walk her to where Suguru is. You’d prefer not to see him at the moment, it just won’t make things any easier, but…you also miss him. So this is just a small excuse.
“Hey,” Yuki interjects. “About your previous question about strength, does your brother train you?”
You sigh and shrug. “He does but he’s busy a lot now so not as much anymore. I have other friends who help me though, and school of course. But that’s about it.”
She hums and stays quiet for a moment. Once you reach Hall B, she stops before you can walk inside, making you stop along with her.
“In here,” you point to the door.
“Look,” she changes the subject. “I don’t stay in one place long, I like to travel, and I know that it’s not ideal for a lot of people. But if it’s something you’re okay with, then you should consider letting me help you.”
You blink in disbelief and can’t think of what to say through that shock that begins to grow.
“It can be once you’re out of school, or if you decide that being here isn’t for you then you can come along and I’ll help you train,” she adds and doesn’t help ease you whatsoever. “Whatever you decide, I want to help you. We girls have to stick together, especially us because we’re a rare pair.” She smirks.
“Yeah, I agree,” you muse. “Just,” you pause and think about your brother and your friends, they’re all here. Whatever happens with Suguru won’t change the fact that you like living with your friends and your brother.
But you also want to get strong for yourself, for your dream of helping other sorcerers, for those friends you cherish so deeply. So that’s where you get stuck, you can go with her, let her train you, and get strong a lot quicker. Or you can stay here with everyone and gain your strength a lot slower. Hm.
“…just give me time to decide,” you tell her. “I’m honored by your offer though. I really appreciate it.”
Yuki grins. “Don’t sweat it, the offer will be open for you. Until then we can still get to know each other.”
You sigh with relief and nod softly. “Yeah I like the sound of that. Thank you again.”
With nothing else to add you continue to walk inside the building. And now your shock gets replaced with that nervousness all over again. You almost want to run away before you can lay your eyes on him, but that’d be immature. After all you do live with him which means you can’t hide from him forever. So now is better than later….
You repeat that to yourself as you approach the corridor. It’s all going to be fine, you assure yourself—no, you’re gonna be sick.
You lead the way past the vending machines and the first person you lay your eyes on is him. Your breath hitches as if this is the first time you’re seeing him. Your heart pounds faster as his dark eyes find your gaze. Your eyes widen slightly with awe as you see that his hair is down. And even through all the hurt he made you feel, relief is all you feel wash over you.
Does he feel it too? He sits up and you notice his Adam’s apple lift up before it slides down.
“Y/N!” Someone else exclaims.
You break from your stupor to notice that Haibara is next to Suguru. You didn't take note of that before.
“Hey Haibara!” You greet as if you hadn’t just seen the guy a couple hours ago.
“Is everything okay?” Suguru’s voice surprises you, causing you to look back at him with that surprise expressed on your face.
He’s acting as if nothing happened while you’re slowly dying inside, how is he so good at that?
Regardless, before you can answer, Yuki finally enters the corridor and steals the attention of both guys, letting you notice that Suguru’s eyebags have only deepened.
“Are you Geto?” Yuki interjects boldly. “What kind of woman is your type?”
What kind of question is that?
You can’t decide if it’s cool or weird upon a first interaction.
“Who are you?” Suguru avoids the question, leading you to wonder if he’ll actually answer it. He is single now so his answer may vary.
“I like girls who eat a lot!” Haibara exclaims, causing you to snap your eyes to him, and giggle.
“Oh?” Yuki probes, whilst Suguru scolds him softly.
“Haibara.”
“It’s okay,” said man brushes Suguru off. “She’s not a bad person. I’m a great judge of character!”
You smile wider at your friends comment.
“You say that while sitting next to me?” Suguru interjects, causing your smile to fall right away, and your concern to grow.
What does he mean by that?
“Yes!” Haibara agrees without hesitation.
Yuki laughs. “He was being sarcastic, you know,” she tells Haibara, but you know she’s wrong, you can see it in the way Suguru’s averting his gaze. So what does he mean? Why can’t he talk to you?
You want to know, you need to know. So that’s what you’ve decided, you’ll talk to him. You have to, if not for your relationship, then just for him. He looks like he’s in pain and you can’t just sit by and wait for him to come to you. You’ll just wait until after you come back from your mission.
You’d do it now, but Yuki did say she wanted to know him, so your talk will have to wait.
“Anway,” you interject and look at Yuki. “I’m off now, it was nice to finally meet you.”
Yuki pouts. “You’re leaving already? I thought we could hang out together a bit longer.”
You briefly glance at Suguru, and he looks at you, so you look away and then respond to her. “I’d love to but I am going on a mission far from here tomorrow, so I need to finish some work before I leave, or else my teacher will have my head.” You giggle. “But hey, when I come back and you’re still around we should go out to lunch or something, hm? I would love to know more about your trips.”
Yuki nods. “Absolutely! And think about my offer, I don’t give them to everyone.”
You flash her a smile and nod. “I will!” You look away from her and look at your friend. “Haibara you want to come help me with my work?”
Your friend pushes himself off his seat right away and nods. “Sure! But I won’t do it for you.”
You pout and watch him meet up with you. “That’s so mean,” you whine and throw your arm around him. “Not even a little?”
“Nope.”
You groan and roll your eyes. “Boo,” you whisper before you look over at Yuki and flash her an excited smile. “Bye Yuki!”
“Bye Y/N!” She gives you the same excited energy.
You lastly glance at Suguru and see that he was already looking at you, so you quickly avert your gaze and pull Haibara away with you.
“Excuse us!” Haibara exclaims as he pulls back to take one last glance at both Suguru and Yuki, making your hand slide off his shoulders.
Silence then follows and once your friend catches up to you down the hall, he immediately finds the chance to question your fading smile.
“Are you okay? You look upset—or actually you’ve looked upset for the past couple days, is everything okay?”
He knows you well, but you don’t want him or anyone else to know about Suguru and you breaking up yet. You do want to work things out so telling everyone, (escpaully Satoru) will create unnecessary tension you don’t need. So you’ll keep quiet for now and hide your anguish.
“I’m fine. Just…tired is all.”
Haibara opens the door for you, letting you walk out under the cloudy sky. “Are you okay?” You redirect while you spin on your heels to look at him.
Your friend nods. “Yep, just getting mentally prepared for tomorrow.”
You hum and sigh dramatically. “Yeah, that’s a real pain in the ass. But hey, after the mission, Nanami did promise that he’ll come with me to the shops, so I’m excited for that!”
“Really? Great, I'll come with!” He interjects.
You scoff softly, and happily hook your arm around his. “I didn’t expect it any other way,” you say with a growing smile.
——
*2 DAYS LATER*
Suguru: Be careful
Even if it’s just through text those words have been ringing inside your head since he sent it.
You hate it for one, he just sends you the message as if nothing, without even talking anything out first, it makes you mad. But two, you appreciate that he thought of you, it makes your heart flutter. Yet, third, you’ve been stuck between answering back or not. Should you be petty and not answer, or be nice and write back something super simple?
Something that can lead to ‘hey let’s talk when I get back.’—no. Not now. You should concentrate on the mission in hand. But…
No! No, you cant.
Actually he shouldn’t be sending you these messages. It’s so hard on your overthinking mind.
“Should we put a curtain?” You ask as you put your phone away.
“I doubt we’ll step outside,” Nanami says. “But let’s do it just in case.”
You both turn to look at Haibara, and he sighs before he steps forward and raises two fingers. “Emerge from darkness, blacker than darkness,” he chants. “Purify that which is impure.”
Within seconds the cloudy sky is covered by a black growing veil that drops over the property you were sent to, adding ominsity to a rather easy mission; exorcizing a second-grade curse.
“If you want, y/n, you can go in alone, we'll wait for you here,” Nanami remarks as you walk past an arch.
You roll your eyes. “It doesn’t work like that Nanami. Special grade—”
“Means you have the power to take over countries,” he cuts you off. “That’s what you are, and it’s what you have the possibility of doing.”
You scoff. “Sure, it’s a possibility, but I can’t do that now, you know that,” you argue the same old fight. “I need to work to get myself strong. I…” you pause and hum in disappointment. “I’m not strong like that yet. I'm working to it.” You fist your hands eagerly and then look back at him with a smirk. “And when I am, don't start missing me, Nanamin.”
Said guy rolls his eyes, making you smile at him.
“Don’t worry y/n,” Haibara cuts in, drifting your eyes over to him. “Take your time, we like having you come with us. We’re a team after all! We work great together and Nanami knows it, he’s just giving you a hard time.”
You chuckle and walk back to fall beside Nanami and pat his shoulder. “Oh, I know. It’s all tough love.”
As you reach the entrance of the red-roof building you let Nanami go and frown. “Sense that?” You ask and come to a stop with them before you can climb up the red stairs.
“It’s not even trying to hide,” Haibara points out.
You crack your knuckles and let out a deep breath, while Nanami pulls his blade out, and Haibara rolls his shoulders back.
“It should be easy,” you try to assure them and yourself. “We go in as practiced.”
Nanami nods stiffly, and you let out one more deep breath before you take a step on a red stair and begin ascending them. When you’re on the porch, both guys hide behind the wall, while you open the door and slowly creep inside the softly lit parlor room.
Right away you notice the curse you’re after; it’s tall, built like a man with tightly toned muscles, but green and twisted. It notices you right away and turns around, showing off its one eye on its face, and the snake like tongue that it sticks out at you.
It’s gives you the creeps, but you ignore it and lift your chin to show it a smirk and show it that you’re not afraid.
You don’t think it actually senses that, nor do you think it has any emotions besides the instinct to cause terror, but almost as if you did hurt its ego, the curse wails out before it charges at you.
You don’t move though, you confidently stay where you are, and just before it can even reach you, Nanami and Haibara come out of hiding and run at it too. And since the curse is tall, you manipulate the air from outside to come to your hands, and then push it towards Nanami. And without the need to say a word, just like you have done dozens of times before, you use the air to give him a boast.
Nanami uses the boast to his advantage and flips in the air. The curse looks up and twists around to follow Nanami, it tries to reach out for him with its long arms, but Nanami swings his blade while in the air and manages to cut one of its arms off with a single swing. When he’s falling back down, he manages to kick the curse towards Haibara before he lands swiftly on the floor.
And since the curse is stronger it’s harder to take down, you need to use a lot more strength and power. So when Haibara punches its eye out with his cursed energy, the curse still stands up and comes stumbling towards you.
Now depending on the curse, you can land the finishing blow, but you see and sense this one is more durable. Thus you tap into your dragon mark wrapped around your arm and make flames bask your entire arm, causing your growing smirk to be brightened by your flame's hue.
The curse wails loudly at you, but you don’t flinch, instead you manipulate the air that lays outside on the courtyard behind the curse, and have it burst through the doors to shove the curse towards you. You then lunge forward as you pull back your fist covered in flames, and smash it through the curses gut so hard your fist burns through the other side.
Yet it still doesn’t get exorcized. The curse falls on its knees and bleeds out from its wound.
“You really are annoying,” you grumble before you raise your foot, and use the air to kick out a mighty blast that sends the curse flying out to the courtyard.
“Let’s end this,” you tell your friends coldy.
Haibara and Nanami both nod before the three of you walk out to the back porch. The curse finds strength to stand up so that motivates the three of you to continue on stronger.
So as Nanami runs to the curse head-on, Haibara jumps off the porch's railing and runs to its side. You step off the porch and watch as Nanami slides down and slices the curses legs off with his cursed technique, while Haibara hops on the curses arm to rip it out of its body, giving you your cue.
And so forth before the curse can continue to irritate you, you pull gusts of air to your palms and form it into a long and thin curved line. You then proceed to lash it out, and manage to cut the curses head clean off.
“Finally,” you pant and drop your shoulders as you let out an exhausted sigh. “Good job guys!”
“Right back at you, y/n,” Haibara redirects, making you smile at him softly.
“Uh, I hate to burst your bubbles but the veil hasn’t come down,” Nanami points out.
You snap your eyes up and see that the black veil still in fact remains intact. Is there another curse here?
Nevertheless, before you can ask your question out loud you hear thumping. When you look down you see the curse begin to convulse violently.
“Uh,” you breathe out in horror and step back.
The curse then suddenly stops, making you squint your eyes on the curse to wait with a racing heart. You then lift your head and at that moment see the curse regrow its limbs, including its head. Its already toned body grows larger, and with more muscles as if it had just pumped itself with fucking steroids. Two arms then grow to four, and from one neck grows out two more heads longer than the original.
This isn’t a second-grade curse, but it’s also something you can't run from, you’ll have to fight your own fear and give it your all.
“We got this,” Haibara uses words of encouragement.
You clench your fists and nod stiffly, whilst you also begin to feel regret for not texting Suguru back. After all, this has turned for the worst, what if you don’t make it out? And the last thing you told him was…a bunch of sputter.
You want to talk to him again, you do. You want to tell him you miss him, that he’s worth walking through fire for, that he’s enough for you. But most of all you want to tell him that you love him more than anything in this cursed world.
So to whatever divine being that is up there don’t let this be the end. Please.
“I’ll get rid of the arms,” Nanami says. “Haibara try and get his legs so y/n can try and exorize it.”
You nervously swallow back but nod in understanding, but you also look over at Nanami and can’t help your worry. He sees that and drops the hardened expression to offer you a soft smile to try and assure you.
You draw in a deep shaky breath and mirror his smile before you look ahead. Now before any more time can be wasted you summon air and blast out, Nanami sprints over and jumps, letting you use that same air to boast him.
You then follow by growing a raging fireball and throw it at the curse, causing it to shift back. Haibara uses this slight distraction and charges it, whilst Nanami flips down and tries to swing his blade.
However, this time the curse is more prepared, it twirls around and swerves Haibara's attack before it proceeds to swat Nanami away as if he were nothing but a fly.
“Nanami!” You cry out while his body slams into the wall behind him and goes unconscious.
The curse turns back around and wails out at Haibara and you, but you don’t cower, you dig your heels in the ground and glower at it.
“Cursed technique,” you seeth. “Fire dragon.”
The dragon mark on your arm begins to glow brightly, whilst the veins on your other arm begins to glow with the flames that travel down to your palms. Your hands then glow from the fires light before you throw your arms out and blast large flames from your palms. The fire quickly takes form into a large fire-made dragon that flies towards the curse.
This time your fire-made dragon is much larger than last years. Now it contains a lot more power.
Alas, just as you think you see the fire-made dragon grab the curse with its jaw, the fire-made dragon crashes through the wall, and what you see before you now are two curses in front of a building that begins to feed the fire that the fire-made dragon left behind.
Two bodies now join the fight. They’re the same build, they have the same green skin, but now both bodies just have two arms. One body even has two heads, while the other only contains one.
It split itself into two.
“Haibara!” You bellow and don’t take your eyes off the curse with the one head watching you, waiting to attack. “Get Nanami!”
You only catch a glimpse of Haibara running and the second curse running after him, so you try to blast fire out at it to try and distract it, but the curse that had been watching you like you were it’s meal, catches you off guard and slaps you down to your knees.
You quickly try to counter but it lunges at you to grab you by the throat and pick you off the ground with its strength.
You can’t let that stop you though, so you try to blast air at it by kicking your foot, but the curse hurls you back towards the parlor room.
When you hit the floor you yell out because of the pain, but you also try to quickly get up so you can counter. However, the curse is fast and catches up to you right away. It doesn’t let you catch your breath before it kicks you to your back and begins throwing punches over and over again on your face.
You try to move your arms to hurl air or fire, but each punch is like getting stabbed by sharp needles so the pain is agonizing and paralyzing.
It’s not the same as before, either because it was holding back or because it got stronger when its head got cut off, like the monster from Greek Mythology, The Hydra. Which would make sense with this curse being born from the Ubusunagami faith. One head falls and multiple are born in its place.
But why wasn’t this identified before? Why weren’t they more careful? This is a grade 1 case, you might be special grade but that’s only because no one knows how dangerous your technique can be, they based you off possibilities, if it wasn’t because of that you’d be a grade 2 just like the others. And they know that too, so why? Why weren’t they more careful?
Now you can’t even lift a finger, all your mind is filled with is pain. You try to think of some strategy to get out, to outsmart the curse, but you can’t even move. Every hit brings you closer to an eerie darkness.
Until there’s a voice.
“Y/N? Are you okay?”
It’s your brother's voice from a memory of the day you got the scar on your torso. You were only a little girl who was scared of many things, he had been gone all day because your parents wanted him away from you, so when he came back the trauma was already engraved and the scar was already stitched.
He came after the fact, but he was such a relief to see. He was a light in the sea of darkness.
“It hurts,” you complain with fresh tears in your eyes.
“I know,” he whispers. “I'm sorry.” He sighs and turns around to give you his back and crouch.
“Come,” he says. “I'll help you get to your room.”
Satoru was told many times not to spoil you the way he does, ‘it’ll only make her weaker.’ they’d say, but he never listened and they never corrected him because of who he was.
“We can watch a movie and give you something for the pain.” He adds.
You wipe your tears away and stand up to step towards him, but you stop and bring up your concern. “But mother said no.”
Satoru peers back and confidently counters. “I don’t care. Now come on, get on my back.”
You smile softly and don’t think twice about accepting his offer now. You get on his back and wrap your arms around his neck before you rest your head on his shoulder, and let him give you a piggyback ride to your room.
Now you don’t know why that certain memory came to mind, there are so many other ones where he was that light in the sea of darkness, so why this one? It's only a reminder of the pain your family made you endure.
So why now as this curse is beating you to a bloody pulp?
Why? You ask yourself as the curse hits you again and strikes your body with more pain.
Why?
But then, in that brief moment where it’s fist is off your face you know why, because you see a vision of brother appearing through the darkness. Not Suguru, not Shoko, or your other friends, but your brother. He’s the sudden burst of energy you need to regain your consciousness and find that strength to pull your leg back and direct a cluster of your cursed energy and fire to your foot.
The curse hits you again, but you don’t falter, you counter by kicking your foot out and blasting fire at it from your foot.
The curse gets flung back, but it doesn’t go far, instead it falls under the doorframe. You still get up though and fist your hands whilst you shift your feet into a fighting stance. The curse gets back up and immediately wails out at you.
“Fuck you,” you grimace and run at it with your arm getting basked in flames. Before you reach it you jump up to swing your fist down at its face, but the curse isn’t weakened by injuries like your bruised and blood-covered face, it’s stronger and manages to throw its arm out and capture you by your throat.
You try to kick, but the lack of air running to your lungs immobilizes you. All you can think about now is wanting to breathe. All that there is is fading consciousness until you hear a scream coming from the courtyard.
Nanami was unconscious, he could have woken up but it’s unlikely, so the person screaming was Haibara. He’s in trouble. He needs help!
As if hit with another burst of energy, you manage to slap your hands on the side of the curses head and instantly blast fire out of your palms,
The curse wails as the flames burst through its flesh and begin burning it from the inside out. It lets you go to try and escape, but you wrap your legs around it and dig your fingers in its head while you blast more fire in its head.
You cry out of anger and the curse stumbles back, it claws at you, but you use more of your cursed technique until the curse finally explodes and dies, causing you to fall on your ass and finally gasp for more air while you push yourself to your feet.
Haibara doesn’t scream again, but you still run out to the courtyard. And immediately as you do you see the curse holding Haibara several feet over the ground by his head. You gasp in horror as you see Haibara’s entrails hanging out of a long and deep gash.
“Haibara!” You cry out louder than you thought possible.
The curse snaps his head towards you, and you quickly lift your hands off your sides and begin gathering air into a orb in between your palms.
“Cursed technique,” your grimace with tears already forming in your eyes. “Air manipulation, lashing wind!”
You proceed to throw the orb made of air out. And while it’s flying towards the curse you form it into a curved line that slashes both of the curses heads off the moment it cuts through, causing it to let go of Haibara.
Before your friend can hit the ground you sprint over and manage to catch him in your arms. However, he’s heavy so when you catch him you collapse to the ground with him.
“It’s okay,” you mutter shakily. “It’s okay,” you assure him even as his eyes are rolled back. “You’ll be okay, Haibara.”
You don’t see his chest move anymore, and his blood is spilling out of his gash and staining your body, but you still refuse the truth and carefully put him down. You then rip the white skirt off your waist and carefully wrap it around his bleeding wound.
“It’s okay,” you tell him again. “You’ll feel a little bit of pressure, but Shoko and that first aid class told us to do this, remember?”
Haibara remains unresponsive, but you continue to tighten the white skirt over his wound so it could stop bleeding.
“You’ll be okay,” you whisper and look at his face. “Haibara? I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Just please hold on a while longer okay? I…I can call Shoko, she’ll know what to do.” You pull your phone out and desperately find your friends contact. As it rings you look back and see the curse is beginning to shake like last time.
“Shit, shit,” you grumble.
The phone rings a couple more times before you get sent to voicemail. “Damn it!” you exclaim.
You peer back and see that the curse grows four heads now and grows taller, bigger.
“I—I’ll call Suguru, he’ll know where she is,” you tell Haibara as he continues to lay still.
This time when you call Suguru, the phone rings only a few times before he thankfully answers. “Hello?”
You sigh shakily with relief, “Suguru.”
“Y/N, what's wrong?” He asks the moment he hears your shaky voice.
You look at your friend and hold your phone to your ear with your shoulder as you press your hands on Haibara's wound to help the bleeding stop.
“Suguru, where’s Shoko? She doesn’t answer her phone, I need her help, please.” You say quickly.
“Shoko isn’t home,” Suguru says. “What's wrong y/n, are you okay?”
You groan and look back to see Nanami up now and trying to distract the curse.
“It’s Haibara,” you say shakily. “I-I don’t know what to do, I’m trying to stop the bleeding, but the gash won’t stop bleeding. And he—Suguru…he’s not breathing. I need Shoko, please, I need her.”
“Y/N,” Suguru mutters through the phone. “Haibara’s gone. I need you and Nanami to get out of there—”
It’s not the solution you want so you hang up the phone and shove it back in your pocket to focus back on your friend and begin CPR.
“Come on, come on, COME ON!” You yell out in desperation.
Your attempts are futile though, he doesn’t wake up, he doesn’t gasp for air, he continues to lay still, adding to your anguish.
“Nanami!” You call out. “I need help! Please come help me…someone please help me…” you trail off and pick up Haibara again to cradle him in your arms. Your phone begins to ring but you ignore it and put all your attention on Haibara.
“You have to fight, okay? We still have so much to live for, and you—you have to become a teacher just like you wanted,” you tell him as you hear wailing in the back. “We have to graduate next year and do so much more, please Haibara. Please.”
“Y/N?”
You look up and see Nanami panting in front of you.
“Nanami—”
He cuts you off and grabs your arm to try and pull you off the ground. “We have to go!” He bellows out at you while his eyes are on Haibara’s body.
“No,” you argue and shove his arm back. “I’m not leaving him behind!”
Nanami glances past you before he crouches down and grabs your arm. “Y/N, Haibara is…” he pauses and lets out a shaky breath before he finishes breaking the truth to you. “He's gone. We have to go or we’ll die next.”
You look down at Haibara and finally notice how lifeless he looks, you finally notice how fatally deep his wound is. And as if slammed by a rough wave, you finally grasp the truth and feel a deep agonizing pain clench around your chest to the point you can’t breathe. You can’t think, or cry, all that there is, is the cruel truth and pain.
The phone's incessant ringing doesn’t tune in, Nanami’s desperate pleas to leave don’t register. Nothing snaps you from that stupor but the sudden wail of the damned curse.
Anger then follows after that sound, a raging anger that only tightens that grip around your chest. No matter how much you want to let it go and leave, you can’t, it doesn’t feel right or like it will let you breathe, so you put Haibara down and twist around as you remain on your knees.
“Y/N,” Nanami warns as the curse begins to storm over.
You ignore him though and narrow your glare in the curse. The ground then begins to shake beneath you as you focus on doing something new and without thinking. Cracks grow on the ground, and you lean down to press your palms on the surface.
The curse jumps off it’s feet and tries to tackle you, but in that moment you let out all the emotions that had been plaguing you, and finally breathe.
All your life you’ve been taught to control your emotions to work with your cursed energy, but you’ve never felt more in control over your emotions than at this very moment after Haibara’s death triggered something off inside you. Something so monumental that lets you blast out a tidal wave of fire from the cracks on the ground to slam the curse back.
Up until this moment, you’ve never felt that rush of excitement from a fight, Satoru always talks about it, but it’s something you could never relate to. The only excitement you felt was last year, but that was met with regret, and you never felt it again because missions and fights were always such a burden or terrifying, but right now? As you use Yuki’s advice about not giving it too much thought, all you feel is excitement. And it grows as you use your cursed technique to lift pieces of the earth around you to blast it out at the curse and everything that stood around you, like a second wave. Leaving nothing left standing, but dust. And proving Nanami right.
Now you would have taken this time to leave, but Nanami doesn’t even attempt to move after what he saw. You can’t move after you realize what you did.
That rush of power was new, that technique was new. All born from a change inside you that Haibara’s death brought.
Yet you know that it’s a power you haven’t fully tapped into, it was only a taste. But that’s enough to cause your eyes to flicker between the familiar color of your eyes, to a deep red color that Nanami notices when you turn back around to face him and Haibara’s body.
“It’s over,” Nanami says through heavy breaths.
You hum softly in agreement, and then gently wipe your fingers down Haibara’s face to close his eyes.
“It can be once you’re out of school, or if you decide that being here isn’t for you, then you can come along and I’ll help you train. Whatever you decide, I want to help you…”
You were unsure before about accepting Yuki’s offer and leaving, but after this happened. After you tapped into some depths of your power you didn’t know you had, your mind finally comes to a conclusion.
.
.
.
.
A/N- Will Suguru and you work things out? Are you really going to accept Yuki’s offer? Ahh! We have to wait for the next chapter to know.

TIME AWAY FROM HOME !
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ao'nung x fem!sully reader
✷ premise : as tensions rise and your family is forced out of the only home you've ever known, fish boy meets forest girl and the rest is history (tragedy)
✷ warnings : kidnapping, swearing, injury, blood, violence, and death
✷ author's note : I've recently just fell down the ao'nung rabbit hole and holy fuck am I enjoying myself so I decided to write an ao'nung fic to feed my delusions further! also, some italicised paragraphs are flashbacks, I didn't italicise some of the dialogue in between them since I had to give some of the words some emphasis.
part 1 of the SOLD OUT OF LOVE series
Tumblr media
Jake never took a strong liking to your mother when they were still humans, if Grace Augustine was snappy, foul-mouthed, and a know-it-all then your mother was somehow every derogatory word in the English language. Jake and her would lock horns almost everytime they spoke, and if you knew how much fights Grace and Jake got into you can double that number and then you'd have the rough estimate of Jake and your mother's daily rows.
But somehow despite all that, Jake knew what lengths he'd go to just to protect your mother, Bettina "Betty" Chacon, a xenoanthropologist who was sent to Pandora two decades after Grace to further study about the natives, the Na'vi, the environment around them, and the complexity of this symbiotic relationship between their God, Eywa.
Unlike Jake and a few selected others who were granted the permission by the RDA to have Avatar bodies, your mother chose to learn about the Natives the hard way, by exopack, even if Norm and Max built her one and was ready at her disposal, she still opted against using it and said she'd rather be caught dead than having to walk around the forest like skinless cookie monster.
After the Sky People had been defeated and Grace Augustine's demise, the humans left Pandora and were sent back to Earth. There were a few who stayed, loyal to the Na'vi like Norm, and Max, some who were too young to even travel in a cryochamber like Spider who was a curly haired devil zipping around camp, and your mother who couldn't travel back to Earth because she was carrying you.
She had fooled around after her Grace and her older sister Trudy's death, drank, slept with other scientists, soldiers, threw herself in her work, never slept, never ate, always drinking, drinking, drinking, because she feared of what may come when she finally stopped and stood still and let the feelings wash over her like she had been barricading the floodgates this entire time, fearing she wasn't strong enough and that the gates would break open and she'd be caught up in a maelstrom.
She'd finally singed her liver, was what Jake always said when he'd come home to Neytiri after spending an afternoon at the lab, checking up on Betty making sure she was taking care of herself and that he didn't have to skewer Max and Norm like a shish kebab as he thought he would. Alongside Neteyam his budding archer, Kiri his compassionate little girl, and he had to worry about an ex-alcoholic scientist friend of his with a baby on the way.
Still though, it was too quick. How she was just taking a shower and started seizing in the bathroom, how her brain started hemorrhaging as they placed her onto the operating table, her vitals worsening by the second. They were forced to deliver you, even if you weren't ready to come out yet. Jake barely made it, able to hear Betty's last words, how she was with Grace, with Eywa, to take care of you, and tell you to keep going even if the world tells you stand down, to never give a fuck about anyone who made you feel less of yourself, that you were Betty Chacon's kid, and nothing could ever change that.
With one last push your screams rang out, and your mother forever silenced.
Your mother never decided on a name, didn't even want to find out if you were a girl or a boy so Jake chose your name in her stead, Neytiri wasn't fond of it, so she took it upon herself to give you a better name, a Na'vi name. Funnily enough, the second time that day, for a few hours earlier she had given birth to a child as well, a boy, whom they named Lo'ak.
Despite that, you grew up in the lab with Norm, Max, and Spider who was just a couple years older than you and made sure you remembered it. Unlike Spider though, you get winded down easily, which is why he wins all the races, he couldn't even break a sweat from chasing you and tagging you, and in hide and seek you always get found first because he'd be finished counting and you'd still be looking for a place to hide.
"You're doing that on purpose" You called out, narrowing your eyes at your older sister, Kiri who kept sticking her ikran closer to yours. Your ikran Hína, squawking in indignation and swaying to the side.
"Doing what?" She wonders, almost clueless.
You click your tongue against the roof of your mouth. "You're drifting, if you piss off my ikran i'm going to chop your tail off"
She laughs at you. "I'd like to see you try, you skxawng"
Suddenly, Neteyam appears in between the both of you, your ikrans making way. "guys, respectfully, can you two shut up?"
You see Kiri rolling her eyes. "Go mind your own business, jack off"
This makes you snort, watching as Neteyam turns his head towards you. "Yeah, piss off posterboy"
He winces sardonically. "It's really hard not to, seeing as all I can hear from the front is you two yapping"
"We'll keep it down then" You compromised.
"Thank you " says Neteyam, shaking his head finally moving away leaving you and Kiri alone.
As a child it was infuriating to have everyone around you treat you like you were fragile cargo, they still kept on the baby proofing they installed since Spider was born, only doubling it when they realized how a little bruise could swell up and cause you unease and discomfort, if you started sniffling and coughing out of nowhere it meant 2 weeks rest and Neteyam, Kiri, Lo'ak, and Spider couldn't bring you outside, they made the most out of it though, you taught them how to play Uno, as three 6-feet tall tweens force themselves to fit inside your cube sized room.
Due to lack of sunlight your skin would start to turn sallow, you were lanky, every cut bled out abnormally fast, they tested you for hemophilia but when the tests came back you were in the all clear, no hemophilia, no leukemia, no anemia either. They didn't know what was wrong with you.
They traced it to your birth, since your fetus had been placed under a lot of stress from your mother's premature labour and her brain aneurysm it had a lasting effect on you.
You remember how when you were 8 though, you had all snuck out mere minutes before eclipse because Lo'ak and Spider kept bragging about this secret spot in the forest that had the coolest view of the Omaticayan village without having to climb up so high to be able to see it. When it had started to rain Neteyam warned everyone to turn back, realizing that it had already been their curfew and that Max and Norm might be sending out a search party to find you and that you could come visit it tomorrow, but you, who had just left the lab and experienced what rain felt like on your skin for the first time said no and told him to stop acting like a scaredy cat, to which the others were happy to jump on and called Neteyam a scaredy cat as well.
So you all trekked the forest in the dark, Lo'ak started pulling at people's tails and denying that it was him until you gave him a taste of his own medicine and pulled his tail which made him scream and start running away, Neteyam chased after him, so did Kiri, and Spider pulled you onto his back as you ran after them. After a while though, you couldn't hear their screeches anymore so Spider put you down and told you to stay put as he went to go and find them.
You waited and waited but when he didn't come back you decide to find them and you eventually did, all grinning and out of breath, Lo'ak decides to race everybody to the spot and everybody else began running after him, not that they wanted to beat him
Spider was tired at that point and told you that you two should just walk instead, but you take off, feeling the raindrops land on your head and back, the cold wind lapping up at your face as you followed the blurry figures of Neteyam and Kiri until Lo'ak jumped out from behind a tree and scared you, you had jumped in fear, giggling and turning around to scold him but you slipped, fell down, and cracked your skull open, rolling onto the rushing river, the last thing you could hear was Lo'ak screaming your name.
"Eywa, my tailbone is killing me" you whined, only loud enough so that Kiri could hear, but it seemed like her mind was elsewhere.
"I don't think it'll hurt for much longer" She replies, making your eyebrows knit together before you turn your head and finally see the Metkayina village growing larger and larger, more vivid, more detailed. The locals wasted no time in giving you a proper welcome, with spears drawn out and menacing looks.
"Tough crowd" you mutter to Lo'ak, who you felt walking up to you.
He scoffs in agreement. "Tell me about it, someone's gotta show these people how to loosen their collars a little" He comments, earning a little snigger from you.
You slap his arm. "Bro, look at that guy" You tell him, nodding at one of the warriors whose face morphed into a tight sort of enraged expression. Lo'ak sees it and laughs through his nose.
"He looks like he's about to pop a nerve"
"He looks like he's constipated"
The both of you snicker to yourselves again.
Your sprightly mood was short-lived when you spot two teenage boys making their way towards you, the next thing you knew they were laughing right behind you.
"What is that?" One of them says. "Is that supposed to be a tail?"
The taller one out of the two takes your tail in his hands, making you flinch and turn around. "Definitely not, how would you swim with it? Too small, too weak, might as well be a piece of fabric, maybe then it would have more use"
They laugh in unison, feeling your ears turn hot. Once they started walking away you flick your tail harshly against the taller one's backside, you hear him yelp and turn around, his aquamarine eyes narrowing to slits.
"Sorry," You make out, trying to stifle a smile. "It has a mind of its own sometimes"
You think you hear him hiss at you but you were too busy trying to avert Neytiri's sharp gaze to be sure, Lo'ak though, once the two Metkayina boys were out of earshot, started to snort, you clear your throat, an attempt at passing off the giggle that had fortuitously escaped your lips. You were sure Neytiri was a second away from pulling your ears back to the Omaticayan village when the Olo'eyktan arrived on his Tsurak, making his way through the crowd to greet Jake.
They exchange pleasantries, so did you and your siblings, placing your hand to your head and bringing it down to your stomach. The chief did not spare another second to get to the point, wondering why Toruk Makto was here in the Reef with his family.
"We seek Uturu" says Jake as a chorus of gasps went off.
"Uturu? " Ronal repeats in disbelief.
"A sanctuary, for my family" He says, eyeing Ronal as she took Neytiri's tail to further scrutinise it, then turning to Tuk. "Their arms are weak" she backs away from Ronal, scurrying to Jake in a panicked state.
She rounds on Kiri this time, observing her tail. "Their tails are weak," says Ronal, taking the older girl's tail into her hands making her cringe and swat Ronal's arm away. "You will be slow in the water"
Then she grabbed both of Kiri's hands, turning them so her palms faced upwards, ten fingers. "These children, are not even true Na'vi!"
To your horror, she rounds on you and grabs your hand, raising it to the sky so that everybody could see all 4 of your fingers. "They have demon blood!" She screamed, you keep your head down in shame, in anger, you feel your ears drooping as you stared at the sand, hearing the blasphemous gasps and hisses that reverberated around you.
"Look!" Jake exclaimed, raising his hand in front of Ronal. "Look, look! I was born of the Sky People and now I am Na'vi, you can adapt alright? We can adapt"
After what seemed like forever Tonowari finally agreed to let your family stay with them, learn their ways, live life like the Reef People. You try and shake it off, already unpacking your things off of Hína who was no doubt as worn out as you were, Tsireya, the Chief's daughter began leading you the way into the village, you try and ignore the fact that mothers were pulling their children farther away from you, the whispers that followed you, the lingering looks.
Suddenly, you feel the woven pathway beneath you dipping, someone was walking up to you. When you turn around he was already there, the boy, from earlier, donning a prideful smirk as he sized you up, observing the amount of things you had been carrying. "How are you carrying that? I'd expect your arms to snap off by now"
"How are you walking? I'd expect your body to sway with that swelled head of yours"
You hear him hum. "You'd be surprised, I have been doing just fine the past 16 years"
"I pity your mother then" You tell him, not looking his way.
"Why?" He asked.
"She hasn't found a cure for you yet" you reply, not bothering to look at his reaction. "Whatever Eywa has cursed you with, she definitely did not hold back" you chuckled. "I have not seen anyone who has made her so angry to have cursed you with such a malady and allowed you to keep walking the face of Pandora, maybe if I keep telling you the truth, unlike your parents who keep feeding you lies and falsehoods then maybe your head would shrink to the actual size of your brain"
You continue. "I haven't been here long enough but I pity your people, not only is their future Olo'eyktan a half-wit, but you'd be having trouble finding your next Tsahík, every woman must be running the other direction with that hideous face of yours"
"I wouldn't be too sure about that" He laughed, waving at a few girls who were gathered by the entrance of a Marui, they see him and they giggle amongst themselves.
You turn to him. "Are the ladies of Awa'atlu so easily won over by a charming smile and nothing else?"
He tilts his head to the side, the edges of his mouth curling up to a smirk. "Charming? You find me charming?"
You scoffed at him. "I find you as attractive as a pile of íkran feces, but then again you are what you eat"
He blinked at you. "I will have you know that you are still speaking to the son of the Olo'eyktan-"
You stop walking and he screeches to a halt. "-do you think that I would drop to my knees, kiss at your feet and apologise?"
He half-shrugged, watching his eyes flick downward then upward to your face. "I would not hold it against you" He replies.
"I do not bow down to anyone" You told him. "Especially not to a man"
"Well then you haven't met me yet"
You feel your jaw tighten. "Whatever jackass, you aren't worth my time anyway" you spat, turning around and walking after your family.
He laughs. "I look forward to our talks in the future Forest Girl!"
Shouting another insult his way would catch your family's attention, so you flipped him the bird until you rounded a corner and disappeared from his line of sight.
"Yo, where were you?" Lo'ak wonders when you suddenly appeared at his side.
About to throw hands with the Olo'eykyan's son, you don't say. "I just had to catch my breath, nothing serious" you tell him instead.
You see his face soften. "You good baby sis? I could take a few, lighten your load-"
You shake your head at him adamantly. "No, no, I'm good, I'm serious," this does not convince him as he messes up your hair making you slap his hand away, pointing at his face as he laughs. "if you touch my shit I'm gunna kick your ass so hard you'll be pulling tail hairs out of your mouth for a month"
"Fine," He laughed, straightening himself up. "suit yourself"
You began walking again, allowing Lo'ak to go first as you tried to bring up the rear. Just when you've given him a false sense of security you tugged at his queue making him lose his balance and hiss, you bolt out of there, dancing past your siblings, ignoring their complaints before Lo'ak could even touch the end of your tail.
It had taken them a long time before they managed to find your body, Neteyam and Lo'ak braving the gushing river to find you while Spider and Kiri ran back to the village to get some help. Your exopack had been shattered, they weren't sure for how long, Neteyam had to perform CPR on you until Jake and the others came.
They transported you back to the lab in a helicopter, you remember that. Everytime they increased the voltage of the defibrillator the faster Lo'ak's mind went, the faster Spider's heartbeat went, Kiri was inconsolable, Neteyam was on the verge of a breakdown, Jake tried to keep it together, gain some composure if it was even possible but ultimately failed.
He had lost your mother 8 years ago to a head injury, if he loses you as well then Eywa really had it in for him.
When they brought you back to the lab you had been under a medically induced coma for several months. The Sullys visited you a lot, Neteyam telling you stories of the hunts he'd go on, how he promised he would teach you archery when you woke up, Kiri confiding her deepest secrets to you, what plants she'd discovered, what poultices she learned to make with her grandmother, how in the dead of night Spider would bring a pillow and a blanket and camp next to your bed if he couldn't sleep, Jake would come and tell you stories of your mother, how she would have wanted you to fight, how she would have wanted you to stay, so did Neytiri, she'd sing you songs, pray for you, she even started you a song cord and told you that when you woke up you and her would continue it together.
Though out of all of them, the one who visited you the most was Lo'ak, he was the one who made you fell, and ever since that day guilt had overcame him swallowed him whole, he'd sit with you for hours, apologising, telling you it didn't matter if you didn't wanna play with him anymore, if you didn't wanna talk to him anymore, if you didn't want to watch old cartoons with him anymore, if you hated him forever, as long as you woke up.
"Why does she have to suffer so much Dad?" He asked Jake as they watched over you one night. "She never met her mom, she never met her dad, she's always sick, now she's going to die and it's because of me"
"She isn't going to die" Jake interjects.
Lo'ak shook his head, staring at his hands. "I heard Max and Norm, Dad, they said if she didn't wake up soon she'd be in a ve-vegetitative state forever" He managed, as his breathing became more ragged. "I didn't know what they meant but then Spider told me... and- and I don't want that to happen Dad, she's only 8, she hadn't even reached the- the two number age yet an-and she's going to die and it's all my fault"
Jake places a hand over Lo'aks shoulder. "Look son, don't let your guilt eat away at you, everything happens for a greater reason. Y/N wouldn't want to see you so down in the dumps all of a sudden would she? No, she wants to see you happy-"
A fat tear rolls down Lo'ak's cheek. "-But it's so hard to be happy dad," He sniffled, looking up at Jake with glossy eyes. "I just want her to wake up, I don't want her to go yet" He sobbed, rolling his hands into fists as he wipes the tears from his eyes. "I don't wanna pretend I'm happy, I don't want to keep hoping she's coming back, I want her to come back now" Lo'ak wailed.
Jake takes Lo'ak's shuddering body into his arms, letting him cry on his chest as he placates him, running a hand over his head as he looks at you, so pale, so still, lying on the gurney with a tube sticking out of your mouth and wires attached to your arms, the soft beeping of the machine and the wheezing of your breathing apparatus.
"Yeah, so do I"
Ironically enough, eclipse started to dawn on you when your father called all of you back to your Marui for a family meeting, much to Lo'ak's chagrin.
"Remember?" Neteyam admonishes, grabbing Lo'ak's arm and pulling him inside the pod. "Family meeting?"
"Alright, come on, take a knee let's go"
You do as he says, glancing at your big brothers who followed suite.
"Okay," Jake begins. "I need you kids on your best behavior" He says, his accent slipping through.
"I mean it, learn fast, pull your weight" He looks at Lo'ak. "Don't cause trouble" Then, he looks at you. "Got it?"
You couldn't help but sigh. "Yes sir"
You ears pick up on sniffling from your left, you turn your head and see Tuk crying. "I want to go home" She says, wiping her eyes with her wrists.
"Tuk," your Dad began, taking her little hand in his. "This is our home now, okay? We're gunna get through this, we do this, we have eachother's backs"
"What does your father always say?"
You resist rolling your eyes at the catchphrase that comes to mind. "Sullys stick together" You mumbled, quieter than your brothers.
"That's right, Sullys stick together, now this time with some feeling"
On Eywa. "Sullys stick together" You say with your brothers.
"Alright" says your father, seemingly satisfied. "Dismissed"
You all stand up, Tuk and Kiri getting out of the hut first, your older sister convincing your youngest sister that if she stopped crying they could go play in the shallow water and find seashells, this instilled a bright spark in Tuk as she began jumping in joy in no time.
You decide to hang out with your brothers again, just like what you had been doing before you've all been called into the pod.
"Y/N, hang back for a sec"
This makes all 3 of you stop walking, your brothers turn to you and you nod at them in acknowledgement, pointing your chin towards the beach. Neteyam nods as well, heading out, Lo'ak touches your forearm before he follows Neteyam.
You turn to Jake who places an arm on your shoulder, leading you towards one of the driftwood stumps that acted as chairs.
He looks at you, peering over his amber eyes. "What's up Lite Brite? You doing okay?"
You wince at that nickname, the nickname your father called you ever since you were a kid, even before you were Na'vi. "I'm fine" You insist.
"Hey, don't lie to your old man"
"I'm not" You insist, looking down at the floor.
"I know it's a lot of change baby," He began, you turn to look at him. "It's a lot to deal with at the moment but you're strong, I know you are"
You let out a scoff of disbelief making Jake chuckle in confusion. "What?"
"You kept telling me that when I was a kid you don't need to keep telling me now"
"The advice I give ain't half bad kid, you gotta learn that it wouldn't be a bad idea to start listening to me once in a while, yeah?"
"Yeah" You smile, ducking your head.
Your Dad grinned, tussling your hair. "Yeah" He replied fondly. "You're my strong little lady"

"Should we just... follow them in?"
You were the first one to stop leaning over the diving platform to look at your brothers, specifically to Neteyam who had been standing on your right. "Well yeah, unless you're too much of a pussy to jump in"
He looks up and laughs, walking up to you to place both his hands on your shoulders. "If you're so keen on following them in baby sis, maybe you would like to go in first?"
You shrug his hands off, pushing his chest away from you as he cackles. "Not a chance, jackass"
"It's only fair Y/N" Lo'ak chimes in. "They're gunna be wondering why we took so long to follow them"
You groan, your shoulders slumping. "On Eywa, when will I ever catch a break?"
"Hey, Y/N what is that?" Lo'ak asks, pointing at the water.
"What's what?"
"There!" He exclaims, pointing at it again. "It's right there! Can't you see it?"
You frown, leaning further into the dock, trying to scan the water for anything that your brother might be pointing at. "I don't see anything"
You tried to turn around to look at Lo'ak but you feel Lo'ak's arms wrap around you, feeling the both of you fall over the dock and into the water, Neteyam following shortly afterward. You swim up to Lo'ak to tug at his ear, a swarm of bubbles escaping Neteyam's mouth as he laughs. The three of you spot shadows coming from above you and try to swim away before Kiri or Tuk body slams into you.
You swim after the Metkayina kids into the reef but soon after you feel your lungs start to burn. You look at your siblings, already swimming up to the surface, you try and follow them up, gasping for air once your head broke the water. Once you all managed to catch your breath you dip your heads into the water again, seeing Tsireya smile up at you, doing something with her hands. You frown and you shrug at her, turning to your siblings for support but realizing they had no clue what she was saying either. Watching as they swam up to the surface to join you.
"You're too fast, wait for us!" Tuk wailed, rubbing at her eye.
"Just breathe" says Tsireya.
"You are not good divers" Ao'nung intones. "Maybe good at swinging through trees but-" He stops to laugh at his own joke but was quickly silenced when Tsireya slaps the side of his head.
"Come on bro" Lo'ak groaned, turning to look at Neteyam, almost as if he was waiting for him to say something.
"We don't speak this finger talk" says Neteyam. "We don't know what you're saying"
"I will teach you" Tsireya tells him.
"Where is Kiri?" Rotxo suddenly wonders. Everyone starts looking for her, calling for her, except for Ao'nung who was too busy looking at his reflection in the water to know who Kiri was.
What a fucking parrot.
Tumblr media
It was the second month of you in a coma when you start crashing all of a sudden, your usually quiet room now had several scientists running in and out trying to bring you back for it was a win lose situation, if they played their cards right they might be able to stabilize you and keep you in your medically induced coma or they might just lose you altogether.
It was Jake who decided to tell Norm and Max to transfer you into an Avatar body, the Avatar body they've been building for you since your 1st birthday.
It evened out the odds a little bit when they found a heartbeat in your new body, they rushed you out of the lab and brought you to the Tree of Souls, Jake knowing all too well where he's seen this before. Mo'at was reluctant, she's seen how frail you were, how weak you were as a child, she did not want to keep Jake's hopes up when things didn't go the way he wanted it to. So they waited, and waited, and waited, hoping that you were strong enough to pass through the Eye of Eywa.
And you were.
Just barely.
Ever since then you'd been living with Jake and Neytiri, having your own hammock, taming your ikran, not needing to wear shoes which was fun now that Norm and Max weren't yelling at you every 10 seconds to put some on, it felt nice that you could catch up to Lo'ak and Neteyam, that you didn't have to catch your breath every so often, that you could learn how to fight.
Your human self would never be able to survive breathing training with the Metkayina, let alone with Ao'nung.
The next day bright and early, you, your siblings, the Olo'eyktan's children, and Rotxo all met up at the beach per the agreement the night prior. Tsireya had paired herself up with Lo'ak and Tuk, paired Rotxo with Kiri and Neteyam, leaving you and Ao'nung.
"I do not understand what I am doing wrong" you huffed, ridding your face of water.
"Everything " Ao'nung replies. "Everything you are doing is wrong "
"I'm breathing from my gut like you told me to, I'm calming my mind like you told me to, is there a possibility that you might just be a shit teacher?"
He rolls his eyes. "Attitude won't help you here, Forest Girl"
Your eyes widen a centimeter in half-shock. "Oh and you will?"
"Just shut up and try again" He snapped, nodding at the seabed. "Go on" He insists when he sees your irritated expression.
You huff again. "If I pass out and don't make it back up it's going to be your fault"
Ao'nung gives you a smile. "Good, the world could use a little less of you anyway"
You wanted to roll your eyes at him but decided not to. With an inhale, an exhale, and a bigger inhale you dive down again, trying to feel as calm and as free as possible, maneuvering yourself through the schools of fish to reach the seabed quicker, but a troupe of the jellyfish looking creatures started to block your path towards the reef, you tried swimming up, no go, you decide to swim under them but you were too afraid to get stung, your only option was to wait them out but once your chest started to feel like it was about to cave in on itself you defeatedly swam up to the surface, gasping for air.
"I can't- I can't do it" you manage, feeling the tumultuos rise and fall of your chest as it yearned for air, hearing Ao'nung's despondent groaning.
"Are you even trying?" He exclaimed.
"I am!" You retalliate tiredly, rubbing your eyes as it stung from the salt.
"Then act like it!" He yelled. "It's bad enough I am stuck teaching a bunch of half-breeds I have to be paired with the densest most incompetent student ever"
You couldn't help the scoff that left your lips; you couldn't believe you had to deal with some snotty airhead when you could've had someone as understanding as Rotxo or as sweet as Tsireya. "do the world a favour and go fuck yourself"
Ao'nung narrows his eyes at you. "I've seen babies breathe better underwater than you"
"Keep running your mouth like that and I'll stop you from breathing forever" You threatened him acidly.
"I'd like to see you try"
You cock your head to the side. "Don't threaten me with a good time"
Just then, Ao'nung sighs greatly at you, raising his hand above the water to pinch the bridge of his nose. "Look, Forest Girl, are you afraid?"
You blinked. Then you blink again. You open your mouth to retaliate with some witty comeback but no sound left your lips, you shut it closed, trying to save whatever was able to salvage of your dignity. "I'm not afraid" you finally tell him.
"If you aren't afraid then diving would be easy for you, fear is clouding your mind, it is holding you back" He reasoned with you, for a second you almost believed that you weren't talking to a boy that looked like a radioactive frog, he was actually starting to make sense. It frightened you. "Nothing will come at you stupid girl, we are too close to the shore to be near real danger"
There it was.
"So i just... need to grow some balls and do it?"
Ao'nung's face contorts. "Grow... what? "
"Dosen't matter" You quickly reply, hoping he'd learn to brush it off.
"Try again," Ao'nung starts. "Remember to calm yourself Forest Girl, there will not be anything to hurt you here, the way of water has no beginning and no end, the sea is around you and in you. Remember that"
You nod reluctantly, turning your gaze to the distorted seabed below you.
He peers over his eyes to look at you. "What... do you want me to hold your hand on the way down?"
You give him a look. "No thanks... I might contract some disease"
He laughs. "Then go"
You take a big breath and dive again, feeling yourself being one with the sea, gliding and drifting, keeping your mind blank as you finally reached the reef, propelling yourself through the mounds of coral that grew from the sand. You were able to spot the shell that Ao'nung threw into the water this morning, quickly snatching it and swimming up to the surface, feeling the sunlight pepper your skin as you resurfaced.
"I did it! I did it!" You exclaim, waving the shell in Ao'nung's face as you hear him laugh, loud and raucous, only fueling the triumphant fire that roared in your chest.
"I'm impressed" He says, taking the shell from you, your fingertips feathering over the other. "Maybe you aren't so incompetent after all"
You feel a small smile stretching across your face. "Maybe not"

Can I get a Miranda fic where Reader is having a terrible day and Miranda notices and decides to do something about it. Fluffy please and thank you 😁
Tumblr media
Well...I am not fond of Miranda, so I find her difficult to write, but I welcome the opportunity because she and I are going to have to get to know one another in my RE8 AU fic soon. Soooooo... dear @geekyarmorel, I hope I have delivered enough fluff here. Thank you for the prompt! Enjoy!
The Assistant
Mother Miranda x Reader prompt Requested by : @geekyarmorel
She was so…promising.
Vitals were stable. No immediate mutations. You turned your back on the subject for only a short while and disaster strikes. Pure, bloody disaster.
Immediately you are pinned to the cold floor of the lab by the test subject now turned moroaicǎ. Its newly formed fangs that have ripped from its gums drip black blood onto your face. It rears back, gearing to lunge at you once again, but cries out in pain, suddenly going rigid and falling to the floor beside you.
Your eyes are wide open in panic and shock, and there is a ringing in your ears that muffles the soothing voice coming from somewhere close by, but you can not see the source.
"Miran-MIRANDA?" You cry out as you try to sit up. Gravity and pain send you back to the floor and into a small, warm puddle with a sickening splat. The room goes black.
"Still yourself, my little hummingbird." Came a voice from your side.
You wake up in your bed and find Miranda in a chair next to your bedside. She places her journal on your nightstand and rises from her seat to inspect your wounds.
Your hand finds the back of your head and you wince. "No touching." She commands as she takes your hand away from your aching head. "A minor laceration, but one that required multiple stitches. The scalp bleeds so easily, quite the puddle of blood I found you in. You had me worried. Luckily you incurred no fractures."
"The test subject. It was exceeding my expectations and suddenly it mutated! I - I have failed you once again." You said, warm tears making their way into your hairline.
Taloned fingers lift your chin gently.  "You never fail me, my sweet."
"But Eva… I just hoped, that maybe this was the one. I want this so badly for you!"
Miranda removes her hand from your face and studies you. She had grown fond of you while you had worked under her watchful eye. But at those words, your words, she could not help but feel more for you than she had cared to admit. She thought you only had an interest in the science of it all, the process, not the actual purpose…bringing back Eva…for her.
Slowly, Miranda stands to blow out the candle on your bedside table, and removes her robes, revealing her alabaster skin and raven-black feathers. The light of the moon shines through the window and illuminates her form. She stands bare before you, offering herself completely.
"If you were to feel me, every inch, you will find not a single muscle nor drop of blood harboring disappointment in you, my love."
"M-my love?" You whispered, your heart nearly exploding.
You are in complete awe of the woman who stands before you; so powerful and vulnerable, and you find your hands aching to touch her. Never did you ever think she would love you. You slide out of bed and fall to your knees. You wrap your arms around her, your head resting on her lower abdomen, and you begin to weep.
"No." She insists, her taloned fingers taking your chin again. "Rise. You do not belong on your knees before me. Your devotion to me and to my cause, my Eva, proves you worthy of being eye to eye.”
Your hands never leave her soft skin as you make your way up off the floor and into her arms. Once there, she holds your trembling form and caresses the back of your head tenderly making sure not to upset your wound.
“There, there, my sweet hummingbird.” She cooes. “Save your tears for times of joy. We will resurrect Eva in time….together.”

Don't lose control
Chloe Decker x Male Reader
Warning: Some light gore.
Request: Would you like to write a Male Reader who is a forensic blood spatter analyst that works for the the L.A.P.D. While there, he started a relationship with homicide detective Chloe Jane Decker and had a son together named (Y/S/N) (Y/L/N). In his spare time, he is a vigilante serial killer who targets other murderers who have evaded the justice system. Male Reader follows a code of ethics taught to him in childhood by his adoptive father, which he refers to as "The Code"
Tumblr media
You are in the lab trying to copy the same blood spatter as in the pictures. You finally figured it out and you started to smile, then Chloe and Lucifer walked in.
“Seems, you are having fun,” Chloe said.
You take off the goggles and there is fake blood all over your suit.
“I figured it out,” You said.
“You know who did it?” Lucifer asked.
“Yes, someone who is under 5’8. It's a short person who killed your victim. Ella helped me out because she was the same height as the killer. When I did it, the blood spatter wasn't the same and the range was very different” You said.
“Now, we have to arrest the landlord,” Chloe said.
“I knew it, he did it. There was something about him” Lucifer said.
“But we needed evidence to arrest him, Lucifer. Thanks Y/n” Chloe said.
“Anytime,” You said.
They leave the lab and you start to clean the mess. Once you are alone in the lab, you use the computer. You typed in a car license now you see the address and more. You start to think, about how to capture the rapist who was let out of jail for good behavior.
Chloe comes back to the lab and you hide the screen with a random report.
“Hey, Y/n don't forget to bring dinner tonight,” Chloe said.
She gave you a peck on the lips and you smiled. You and Chloe have been dating for a long time then she got pregnant with your son.
“Don’t worry, I won't forget. Go home early and I will try to finish this report” You said.
“Okay, I will see you later,” Chloe said.
She kissed you then she left. You watch her leave then you look at the computer again. She doesn't know that you hunt down criminals and kill them. You know that she will never accept you if she finds out. You always come up with a lie saying why you come home late. Since you work in the police department, it's easy for you to get information on your next prey. You try to find more information about the criminal and it didn't take for you to find out everything.
Chloe is at home and she picks up her son and kisses him on the head. He is one year old and he starts to smile at her.
“Don’t worry your father will join us for dinner” Chloe smiled.
You open the door and she is happy to see you.
“Traffic got worse. But I did bring food” You smiled.
You give her the food then you grab your son. She starts to set the table and you are making your son laugh and he doesn't stop smiling.
“I have to leave later,” You said.
“Why?” Chloe asked.
“I have to meet up with my brother, he is having trouble with stuff. And he needs someone to talk to” You lied.
She never met your family besides your adoptive father.
“Y/n, when am I going to meet him?” Chloe asked.
“I will try to set that up. I told him about you but I will ask him again” You said.
“Okay, but try not to come home too late. Remember we are going to the zoo tomorrow” Chloe said.
You gave her a peck on the lips.
“I won't come home late, promise,” You said.
After dinner, you spend time with Chloe and your son. She went to bed early and you left the house.
——
In the trunk of your car, you take out black clothes and changed in car and you change the license plate. You drive to the location where your prey will be.
You drive to a bar and you walk inside. You look for her and she is sitting at the bar and you sit in the back. You watch her and she is just drinking beer and talking to random people. You have been following her for almost two weeks, she has two different cars and that threw you off while spying on her. You start to remember what your foster dad said…
“Only kill people after finding conclusive evidence that they are guilty of murder,” He said.
After a while at the bar, she left the bar and you go after her. She is by herself, now you wet the cloth with coliform and run up to her. You put it on her face and she tries to fight back but can't.
“Shhhh,” You said.
You put her in the car and drive to your secret location. Chloe doesn't know about Secret Loft because you used your fathers name to buy it. That's where you do your killing. You drag her body into the loft then you tie her up on the table and you wait for her to wake up.
“Where am I?!” She cried.
“Somewhere,” You said.
“Who are you?” She asked.
“Oh, don't worry about that. You won't remember it in the afterlife. You are here to pay for the crime you did to those boys” You said.
“I did my time!” She yelled.
“No, you didn't! They should have given you years behind bars! But instead, they gave you three months!! People who sell weed are doing years behind bars! Now that isn't fair” You said.
“Someone help me!!!” She screamed.
You smacked and you looked at her with a sinister look.
“You can scream all you want. But no one will come and help, this neighborhood is abandoned, and cops only come around here to sleep with hookers. Enjoy the ride” You said.
She starts to cry and begs you not to kill her. But don't stop, you grabbed a knife and started to cut her body. The cuts are not deep but she is starting to bleed out, you want her to suffer. She keeps begging you to stop but you don't listen to her. You keep leaving cuts on her body. Then you grabbed a bigger knife and you have a sinister smile.
“Please I'm begging you” She cried.
You stabbed her in the stomach and she cries in pain. She starts to bleed out fast and you watch the blood come out faster. You take out the knife now you grab an electric saw, you start to cut her body. She is screaming bloody murder but you don't stop. You cut her arms off then you cut off her right leg.
“Have fun in hell” You said.
You cut off her head and you cut her body into pieces. You are breathing hard now you start to clean up and put her body parts into black trash bags.
You lost track of time while throwing her body away and cleaning. You changed clothes and burned what you had on. You went home at 4 a.m. and Chloe is still sleeping. Before going to sleep, you take a hot shower.
✬ ✬ ✬ ✬
You kept your promise and you went to the zoo with your family. You take a picture with Chloe and your son. You try to teach him a new word.
“Can you say gorilla?” You asked him.
He just smiles “Monkey”
“Close enough, but it's gorilla,” You said.
“You thought he was going to say it on the first try?” Chloe asked.
“Could have happened. Plus he won't let go of the monkey plush” You said.
While walking around the gift shop, he grabbed a plush monkey. He didn't want to let go of it and he hugged it very tight. You bought it and you bought a gift for Chloe.
You and Chloe are having a good time. You keep trying to teach your son how to say each name of the animal.
———
You and Chloe are on the couch, watching a movie. But during the movie, you and Chole just started to kiss each other and didn't bother to finish the movie. You are lying on your back and she is on top of you, and your hands are under her shirt.
“Are you okay?” Chloe asked.
“Yeah, I'm fine. Why?” You asked.
“You have been going out every single night, and I don't like that,” Chloe said.
“I promise that will stop,” You said.
“Do you mean it, Y/n?” Chloe asked.
You kiss her on the lips
“Yes, I mean it,” You said.
“Good” Chloe smiled.
✬ ✬ ✬ ✬
Chloe and Lucifer arrived at the crime scene. Ella starts to explain what she thinks happened at the time of the kill. But Lucifer tries not to laugh because Ella is on her knees, and you are standing up. Her face is close to your crotch.
“So the killer was on their knees and stabbed him in the stomach and his friend,” Ella said.
“That explains the blood sappter. When the killer moved their hand back and forth, the blood managed to get on the couch. But once at my lab, I will try out the theory” You said.
“Maybe try not to have your face close to his crotch,” Chloe said.
“What?” Ella said.
“Never mind,” Chloe said.
“Don’t be jealous, detective he won't cheat” Lucifer said.
Chloe walks away and you take more pictures of the crime scene. You and Ella started to talk about theories while Lucifer and Chloe talked to the neighbors.
——-
At work, there was a meeting about criminals being killed. You didn't care about them but Olivia Monroe, your boss said something. She wants Chloe and Lucifer to work on the case and you start to panic. Now you have to stop for a while and you were planning on your next prey. So far, there are no witnesses or clues about who the killer is. The media already made up a name and you know Chloe won't rest until she cracks the case. You don't want to lose her so for now, you will stop killing. It will be hard because of your blood lust but you don't want to lose your family.

Never Lose Me (Henry/001 x reader)
Tumblr media
(Summary: Where you are unwillingly part of one of Dr. Brenner's project's in the lab, Henry /001 is the one who he pairs you with. But something goes wrong during the pregnancy..)
(Warning: Mentions of murder, Medical stuff, blood, death, dark themes, Dr. Brenner is his own warning)
It was a cold rainy September night, when you got kidnapped by a old grey haired man named Dr. Martin Brenner. Who was now your 'boss'. He forced you to join one of his projects and he stuck you in a room with a very handsome mysterious guy named Peter Ballard, who you later found out his real name was Henry Creel.
(Flashback)
"W-who are you? Wh-where am I?" You finally got the courage to speak.
"Henry.. Henry Creel." "But I thou-" "Brenner changed my name.. and I'm sure you know why.." Henry said looking at you. He was right you did know, he was supposed to be dead but here he is in the flesh.
"I'm not going to hurt you..."  "Where am I? Why am I here? And don't try anything i know karate.." you said trying to stand your ground. He was not bying it.
"Your at Hawkins Lab, Dr.Brenner is making you become involved in one of his projects.. that's why your in here with me.."
"Wait you knew?" He nodded.
"He told me and showed me who you were. Y/n M/n L/n, 25 years old. Honor Roll in high school, went to one of the best schools for nursing, Single, and a Orphan... Brenner actually let me pick who was going to be apart of this project.." your face went back to a horrified expression. "Don't worry he was planning to get you anyways. He needs a new nurse."
"H-ho-" "He has a file of you.. he has files of everyone.. and I picked you because I can sense theirs something... between us..."
And Henry was right. There was/is an unspeakable bond between the two of you no one could figure out... not even them. From then on, you both got to know each other he told you more about the lab, himself, how he was/is a number and that he has powers just like the other children. He also told you about the project.. how you and him had to conceive a child. You were mortified and refused.... Until that one night....
"What happened?" You walked towards him seeing him on the ground in pain. Henry refused to break down his wall and shook his head.
"They punished you didn't they?" You asked. He sighed and nodded.
You got the first aid kit and asked him to take off his shirt. You never knew how toned he actually was until now... you quickly shook the thought away and You started to tend to his wounds.
"What happened this time?"
"Brenner doesn't like how close I am getting to 011."
"I see that.." you said with a frown as you finished tending to his wounds.
But before you could move away, he grabbed your arm and lifted up your chin, making you look into his eyes and before you knew it, his lips were on yours and you were being pushed back onto his bed.
Now, You were months into your pregnancy and at first everything was fine until the past few weeks going into the third trimester of your pregnancy. You had been exhausted and coughing like crazy you also looked survirly pale, but you just thought it was just because of being trapped in the lab. During your pregnancy you haven't been able to see Henry as much but, he did grow concern. You missed seeing him everyday, You thought, As you walked with one of the other woman in a different project Lydia, who had became your friend. While she talked to you about the reasoning she was here and her husband.
"I've been missing him like crazy. And the only reason I am doing this is because I need the money or I don't know what will happen to us-" you started to feel faint slowing down your speedy as well as starting to cough slightly, trying not noticing the blood that was coming out as well.
"Y-y/n are you okay?" She asked concerned, looking behind towards you.
"I-im..f-fine." You said in between heeps of breaths and coughing up large amounts of blood, before your eyes rolled back and you clasping to the floor. Lydia dropped her pad running towards you.
"Omg. Y/n? Help! HELP!" She shouted. To see Dr.Brenner and two orderly's running up to them.
"Lydia what happened?" Brenner asked eyes filled with shocked and a little horror.
"I-I don't know... w-we were just walking and she started coughing and slowing down. Before I knew it she clasped." She said with tears streaming down her eyes.
"Jackson take Ms. Rowe back to the project room. Lucas take ms.L/n to the infirmary immediately! And page the infirmary! Hurry!" Brenner ordered. The two men hurriedly went to there tasks.
While Lucas rushed Y/n to the infirmary. He immediately paged the infirmary.
"This is Lucas Soks i have a serious matter ms. L/n clasped in the hall coughing up blood. Dr. Brenner needs to have all hands on deck. I'll be there soon!"
Not occurring to Lucas nor Brenner that Henry over heard everything and is hot on their tracks.
Once, Lucas got her to the infirmary the team took you and placed you on the table placing an oxygen mask on to your mouth and nose, while giving you an IV as they pushed everyone else out of the room.
As Dr.Brenner was going to the infirmary to see what was happening he was stopped in his tracks by an all to familiar voice/person.
"What did you do to her?" A bitter voice said.
"001 we have no idea what happened. I'm on my way to figure it out now and I suggest you let me through or suffer the consequences." Brenner spoke.
Henry opened his mouth to speak then closed it again before letting Brenner pass.
"I will let you know what happens.." Brenner said before continuing to the infirmary.
Once he was gone, henry punched the closest wall near him. Though Brenner used you for his "project" you both actually fell for each other. He never expected to fall in love or have any actual feelings for anyone or anything but, their was something about you that allured him. Now that he has you he's not going to let you go no matter what. He couldn't bare the thought of losing you.
Once, Brenner got to the infirmary.
"What's going on?" Brenner asked one of the nurses.
"Her body is starting to shut down, one of her organs is clasping. We need to get her into surgery now." She explained.
"I don't care what happens to her but, make sure that baby is alive." Brenner stated.
"But sir-" "do as I say! Kill her i don't care but I.want.that.baby.alive!" He ordered.
They looked at him with a horrified expression before following his orders. One of the nurses Katherine was a very good friend of yours even before the lab. She couldn't believe what she had heard. And slipped out of the room to find Peter/Henry. She found him where he usually was working in the Rainbow room.
"Mr. Ballard could I speak with you for a moment.. 011s results came back." She made up a good excuse or well she hoped. Looking at the other orderlies who had actually bought it. Peter got up and followed her.
"I need to tell you something important."
"Ms.Thorn I don-" as he was about to walk back to the rainbow room " It's about Y/n." Henry paused in his tracks slowly turning around walking back towards Katherine.
"What about Y/n." He said in a deep almost concerned voice.
"Br-Brenner wants to kill her..." those four words almost sent him into a rage. "Y/n's condition, is one of her organs are failing. There getting her-she's probably already in surgery now. Brenner never cared about her seems pretty obvious but all he cares is wanting that baby... your baby alive... no matter the costs.." She explained. Henry was frozen in place rage filling him more and more like poison seeping through. He need to do his plan as soon as possible.
"I-I have to get back before Brenner notices.. I wanted you to know.." and with that Katherine went back to the infirmary. While Henry went back to the rainbow room to start his plan.
(Timeskip: past through the mascara and everything also eleven escaped through the tunnel when Henry showed her, also it's a bit different because he was killing everyone who was in the way of getting to you so yeah!)
Once, Henry finished off with the last nurse stopping him from getting to you. While compelling Katherine to tend to their daughter, he saw you laying on the table stitched back up in a gown. His heart dropped while he picked you up in his arms holding you hoping you will wake up and be with him. That he did not lose you and as if the gods were on his side he felt your fingers move against his back pulling your chest to his ear feeling/hearing your heartbeat once again. He picked you up into a bridal style pose. And took you and their daughter home.
Once you woke up, you felt as if you were on a cloud looking around to notice you weren't in the lab but in your house well your room to be exact. You heard footsteps coming towards you, to see Henry.
"H-Henry.." your voice croaked out he neiled down and pulled you into a deep hug you slowly wrapped your arms around him pulling him closer.
"I thought I lost you.." he said. While kissing your head. You pulled away putting your forehead against his.
"You could never lose me.." you said looking into his perfect blue eyes.
Before he could say anything their was a knock on the door frame. Both of you looked over to see Katherine and a baby.. your baby. You sat up as quick as possible.
"I-is she okay.." you asked concerned.
"She's perfect. Here. I'll give you three sometime." Katherine replied handing your daughter over to you. "She still needs a name by the way." She said before leaving.
Your eyes welled up as you looked at your beautiful daughter. As her arms moved and grabbed your hair.
"H-hi." You said as tears of joy streamed down your face. You saw her look over at Henry. "Is that your dada?" You asked lifting her up.
Henry watched mesmerised by just the small interaction between you and their daughter. "She does still need a name.." he spoke up. You looked at her for a moment before smiling.
"Hayley Grace... that's her name.." you looked at Henry for a moment. "Hayley Grace Creel.." Henry looked at you for a moment, before a smile creeped up onto his lips as he brought the both of you in his arms. While whispering "it's perfect.."
You both stayed like that for a while, you couldn't imagine anything better. Your little family. You didn't regret anything, not even being forced to stay in the lab because if you didn't, you wouldn't be here with Henry and your daughter.

Accidentally In Love (Chapter 2)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Steve Rogers x Bucky Barnes x FemaleOC
Warnings: Potentially lethal levels of fluffiness right now, potential for smut later. A little blood, canon levels of violence potentially. Plus size female OC, body descriptions.
Rating: PG-13 (right now for language, but look for this to change)
WC: 2600-ish.
Summary:
Echo's living a normal life in NYC, a 911 dispatcher, the most excitement she gets is from the calls she takes. And then love comes crashing in one day when she's riding her bike through Central Park.
Steve and Bucky weren't looking for anything on their daily run around the park besides fresh air and exercise. The streak of purple eye candy on a bike that lapped them pretty regularly was a nice addition but not mandatory, at least until some impromptu roughhousing results in some civilian casualties in the form of the most beautiful woman either of them had seen in a long, long time.
A/N: AU, Post CACW, Bucky’s Chill and we have always lived in the Tower. Just call this a throwback to the found family, everyone lives in Stark Tower fics.
This is supposed to be a super-fluffy love story. Still undecided if I'm gonna keep this one going but posting now for giggles and grins. It's got some CSI:NY characters crossing over because why not.
I'm just messing about and playing in my WIPs folder. Not Beta'd: we die like men! (honestly, I tried but if you catch something I missed, let me know)
Chapter 2
Blinking, Echo arrived back on the current plain of consciousness in a very bright room that smelled vaguely of antiseptic and orange slices. Blinking, she groaned a little as she took in her varying pains that hadn’t been evident before, including the stiffness in the elbow where her IV was installed.
“There she is.”
She turned her head toward a voice she recognized very well. Lindsey Messer, Danny’s wife and her friend from the job and her building, sat at her bedside holding her hand. In her pants suit and fuschia blouse, wearing her work badge, it was clear the tiny blonde had come straight from the crime lab. “Hey Linds. I hope Danny didn’t make you worry. I’m fine. My head’s too hard for any lasting damage.”
The blonde snorted and slid a plastic cup with a straw in it over to her. “That’s what I told them.”
It was good to know her friend had her back. “What am I doing here?”
“They said you had a concussion and lost consciousness at the scene. Apparently you hit your head when you went into the stream by the bridge. Plus you got some stitches in your nose and chin and have a hairline fracture in your wrist.”
“Oh.” It was so much worse than she feared. Looking down at her wrist she saw the bandage and closed her eyes on a sigh. “Well, this sucks.”
“It does,” Lindsey agreed. “It seems you have some interesting friends, though.”
Echo sipped her cup of water as she mulled over the strange transition. “We have the same friends, Linds.” Working in law enforcement made for a large extended, and occasionally dysfunctional, family, and since they hung out together, the majority of the people in their lives were shared friends and acquaintances.
“Funny, because I don't remember you bringing those two superheroes you crashed into on the bike path today out for drinks with us.” She leaned back in the chair, looking nonchalant as she pulled a bottle of water from her purse to sip.
Superheroes? What? “What are you talking about?” Shifting to sit up further in bed, she found herself tired and reclining back on the pillows behind her. She had one thing she wanted to make clear, though. “And I didn't crash into anyone. I ditched out so I wouldn't crash into anyone.”
Lindsay smiled slyly. “You’re too nice, that’s why you crashed.”
Looking around to make sure there were no little ears to overhear she snarked at her friend, “Vaffanculo,” complete with the associated hand gesture.
Of course that's the moment when Danny decided to come into the room carrying a bottle of water and some white daisies he laid on the table next to her drink. “Ay, yo! You kiss your mother with that mouth?” he asked with his ever present grin. He’d clearly cleaned up and changed into one of his signature tight t-shirts and jeans. He made hipster chic look good with his wire-rim glasses and skinny jeans.
Rolling her eyes hurt but she did it anyway. “Whatever, Danny. When do I get outta here?”
The thin man winced and pushed his glasses up his nose. “Well, see that's the problem. Both the girls have ear infections, and they’re with my mom right now, but there's nobody to look after them for us, so we can look after you. And well unfortunately, between us and Flack, Donnie is going outta town with Trish for the weekend. So the docs wanna keep you overnight.”
“But…” she whined pitifully. The idea of spending the night alone in the hospital sounded as appealing as shaving her legs with a dull razor and lemonade shaving cream.
Lindsey’s lips twitched. “You know we have toddlers, right? We’re immune to such things,” she laughed.
Lower lip in full pout, she replied, “And that's just unfair.” Echo reached onto the table and then rummaged around in the sheets over her before reaching into her bloodstained bra and the pockets of her bike shorts. “Where's my phone?” Surely she could find someone to look after her at her place so she didn’t have to stay in the hospital.
Danny cringed as he grabbed the other visitor’s seat in the room. “Yeah, about that... your phone’s out getting fixed right now. Unfortunately it and your sunglasses met the creek bed and experienced a similar fate as you.”
“Oh no.” She winced and reached up to touch the bridge of her nose involuntarily as her hopes for escape dwindled in front of her. “This is bad.”
He nodded, conceding her point. “Yeah, yeah it is, kiddo.”
“So, I have to stay.” It was a statement of resignation more than anything and she was beyond displeased, but knew two things: first, this wasn’t her friends’ fault, and second, she couldn’t do anything about this.
“Unfortunately.” Messer nodded again. Seeing her dejected expression, he rushed to assure her, “Just for tonight though. They’ll let you go in the morning. Hopefully your phone will be back here by then, good as new.”
“Wait…” Her mind was still a little fuzzy, but Echo was pretty clear that phone insurance wasn’t nearly that prompt. “Who's got my phone?”
Lindsay looked at Danny with a pointy glare. “You didn't tell her?”
“She just woke up! You were here!” Danny held out a hand hoping to show that he was unarmed and not one to take her fire. He pulled the chair over to the bed to be closer to Echo. “Do you remember the two guys you crashed into?”
“I didn't crash,” she corrected, rolling her eyes coming much easier this time.
“Your face and bike would disagree,” he supplied diplomatically, with only the barest hint of a grin.
“Whatever.”
His eyes narrowed as he looked at her, assessing. “You really don’t remember?”
Shaking her head hurt, but she tried anyway. “Help me out here, Messer. I got nothin’.” She had vague recollections of the two hot guys from the path, but considering she saw them daily, those were not memories she trusted. “Were those the ones you and Flack had your guns on?”
Lindsay's eyes grew very large and she pinned Danny down with a very pointed glare. “You had your gun on Captain America and Sergeant Barnes?”
“It was a very fluid situation,” he gritted out through his clenched jaw. “It took a minute to get it all untangled.”
“I'm sorry, what?” The headache that had been dancing around the edge of her vision grew to full force causing her to rub her face. “What? That doesn't even make sense.” How in the fried fuck did the fricking Avengers figure into this? “How—? What—? I don’t understand—”
Danny cringed at her questions and pushed to his feet. “Well I think we've done enough damage here. Linds will get the girls and we'll see you tomorrow morning.”
Echo’s eyes popped open as she reached for him when he stepped away to put the chair back. “Wait! No! You don't get to just drop a bomb and leave like that.”
Likely attracted by her beeping monitor, the nurse came in to see her blood pressure spiking. “You have to go now. The patient needs her rest.”
Lindsey and Danny leaned over for quick hugs before heading toward the door. “This will make sense in the morning, E, okay? You’ll be fine,” he assured her.
She whined again, dropping her head into the pillows. “Okay. I'll see you tomorrow.”
“Yeah, you will,” he replied with his trademark toothy grin.
Right before he and Lindsey walked out the door, she asked, “Hey, who has my bike?”
“Hopefully that’ll be here with your phone.”
The way Danny’s smile turned secretive before the nurse closed the door was concerning, but her head hurt too badly to really give it too much thought. Honestly, she was tired again and since it seemed she had nowhere else to be, she figured it was a good moment to take a nap.
Tumblr media
“We should have brought the bike up.”
“And put it where, genius? In the hallway where it’d just be in the way? In here? It’s a hospital, not a subway platform.”
“I just think—”
“And that’s your problem right there, Stevie.”
“I just don’t want her to think we took it or anything.”
“Steve. Really. Come down off the cross; we need the wood.”
Echo woke to the sound of grumbled whispers and some sort of mechanical noise. Her dark eyes opened to the overly bright room, only to slam shut again at the vision before her. It was clearly a concussion-generated hallucination, because there, seated at her bedside were the two sexy mofos from the bike trail. A flimsy wisp of a memory danced across her mind of the blond one fetching her from the creek by picking her up, but… that wasn’t possible. It couldn’t be; she was too heavy for that. She hadn’t been picked up since childhood, and certainly was not one to invite the casual touch of strangers.
Cracking her eyes open the barest hint, she watched the two men, giants, both of them, arguing back and forth softly beside her. She’d never given thought to their size before beyond their muscles, considering her bike gave her a height advantage, but damn if they weren’t enormous, still dressed in their too-tight t-shirts and jeans that encased their thighs closer than clingwrap.
Her soft whimper at the sight brought their argument to a halt as both of them reached for her hand.
“Hey, beautiful,” the longhaired one greeted her with a soft smile as he delicately touched her fingers. His own fingers were cold, and when she looked to see why, it appeared they were made of some kind of metal. In her mind, she’d always assumed it had been some kind of tattoo when she’d seen him in passing, so the metal was a bit of a shock.
“Howya feelin’, sweetheart?” the blond one asked as he laid his hand over her same wrist.
She closed her eyes for a moment, just absorbing the absurdity of this moment. “Best. Hallucination. Ever.”
Her eyes snapped open at a bark of laughter followed by the mostly silent wheezing giggles that overtook Hotness 2. He threw his head back, shaking out his unbound hair in full chortle, a bubbly infectious sound that made her feel like she’d been infused with sunshine. The way his nose crinkled made her want to hug the hell outta him.
“Babydoll,” he choked out as he brushed away tears from his cheeks before patting her knee with a warm smile. “We’re as real as it gets. I promise.”
Blondie’s grin at his friend was a mix of affection and unruffled resignation. “Ignore Chuckles over there. How are you feelin’?”
“I’d feel better if I knew who you were,” she said softly. It was a strange feeling, a sensation of familiarity and absolutely no idea why she might know them. Not that she didn’t appreciate the attention, but it was disconcerting that they seemed to know her and she had no active memory of them beyond their occasional encounters on the trails and paths in Central Park.
“I’m James and this is Ste—Wait, you really don’t remember us?” The brunet went from amused to stricken in a breath when she shook her head, his free hand—it was a metal hand—scrubbing down his face and pulling his features taut before clapping his hands. “Right then. I’m James—my friends call me Bucky, and this is Steve. I ran into you on the trail yesterday.”
Eyes rolled to the ceiling, the giant blond then directed an annoyed glare at his compatriot before folding her hand in both of his massive paws. “What Buck means is he ran into you on the bike path. By the Glen Span bridge.”
“Oh! Jeez!” Thinking back, all she could see in her mind was the blue shirt and then everything goes kind of hazy until… “Guns? My friends had their guns on you?”
They both held their hands up, shaking their heads. “A misunderstanding. It all got sorted out pretty quickly, despite Smartass over here trying to get us killed,” James grumbled in Steve’s direction, even as a smirk curled around the corners of his mouth.
The blond winced at his friend’s description of the events but didn’t correct him. “Anyway, we wanted to come and apologize for all the upheaval we caused for you.”
“And your stitches and things,” the brunet added as he tucked his long bangs behind his ears. Looking down in his lap, he jerked as he noticed the bag by his feet. It was purple and glittery and had tissue paper sticking out of the top and he pushed it into her hands like it may be virulently contagious. “Here. From us.”
Immediately suspicious, Echo held the bag at arm’s length. “Okay? What is it?”
Steve rolled his eyes with a little huff of impatience. “Telling you ruins the surprise. We went to the trouble of wrapping ‘em—”
“Well, Wanda did,” Buck leaned over to stage-whisper conspiratorially.
“We went to the trouble of having ‘em wrapped,” the blond corrected with an impatient glare at his friend, “so open it.”
A little embarrassed at having their eager eyes track her every move, she dug past the mountain of glittery paper to pull out a shrink-wrapped, brand new Stark Phone in the signature red and gold box which she set on the bed next to her. Everything about this situation was so goddamn weird, it was hard to make all the pieces fit together in her head with any kind of coherence.
“Tony promised me he got all your stuff transferred over,” Steve offered eagerly as he poked the box a little closer to her.
“Pictures and things,” Buck clarified over his friend’s shoulder. They both seemed greatly invested in her taking the gift.
She held the box up in one hand while pawing through the bag with the other. “Okay?” Her fingers brushed against another box, this one textured and obviously expensive cardboard and almost as hefty as her phone box.
Echo’s eyes widened as she pulled out the black box with the distinctive gold writing on it. “Is this…?” she trailed off as she observed the two men closely. Steve nodded encouragingly, so she opened it, almost afraid of what could be inside. Inside was a hard leather case, with gold lettering that matched the exterior box. “You got me Versace sunglasses?” She couldn’t decide if she was happy or mildly horrified.
The blond nodded vigorously. “Yeah, yours were in pieces from where I stepped on them getting out of the water.” His cheeks flushed as he looked more than a little ashamed. “Tony assured me that you’d be okay with the replacement.”
“Stevie’s underselling it. Stark said you’d appreciate the upgrade.”
Upgrade? Shit… she was a city employee and made nowhere near the kind of money that this pair of sunglasses cost. They were likely more expensive than all the clothes in her closet. “I… thank you?”
“Here.” James nodded at the bag next to her. “There’s more in there.”
At the expectant looks on their faces, she set the black box aside and turned her attention to the bright yellow envelope just inside the bag. “‘Sorry we broke your stuff, please accept these replacements with our humblest apologies,’” she read, wary of their hopeful expressions when she finished. “'Replacements?' Plural? There’s more?”

For the headcanons game, perhaps an AU where when Eobard goes to kidnap Eddie in s1, Barry gets to that bridge just a teeny bit quicker and saves Eddie (by Eobard kidnapping him instead)
YES. WHUMP. This is absolutely not something I really really hoped would happen when first watching the episode at the ripe age of 9. Nope. I was a completely normal child.
Ah. Remember when Eobard took a blood sample from Farooq, saying he’d love to know how he was able to steal the Flash’s speed. And that plotline went nowhere? Whelp, that would not be the case in this universe. Because of this, Eo wouldn’t need to keep Barry in Star labs which —alongside simply not having a speedster to search— will make rescue a lot more difficult. He also knows what he's doing, knows how to hack and deactivate all the trackers and tech in Barry's suit to ensure he won't be found.
This situation forces Eddie or Joe to tell Iris Barry’s the Flash (hell, Eddie may just yell “Barry!” When he’s taken and that gives it away) and she's going to be pissed. Like canon, they don't/can't report Barry as missing, and with him out of commission; Thawne doesn’t need to send Grodd, which means they can just focus on finding him. It would be even more tense for everyone because Wells/Thawne taking Barry actually makes sense which is somehow scarier than the alternative of the kidnapping being random. They’re just hoping they can find Barry before a man who hates him enough to kill his mom when he was 11— kills him too.
Meanwhile, Barry is not doing great because Thawne isn’t particularly worried about meeting his food calorie needs; just making sure he doesn’t die of starvation. Plus, Thawne isn’t keen on giving him information about, well, anything. “Why the hell am I here?" "What’s happening with my friends?" "What are you working on over there, I can’t turn my head enough to see it—" etc. These questions, of course came after empty threats, a lot of shouting, and probably the threat of a gag if he wasn’t quieter. The cherry on top, Thawne was acting weird towards him, lingering a little too close for a little too long. Rescue really couldn't come sooner.
Eobard figured out a way to replicate Farooq's powers to not just deprive Barry of his speed-- but transfer it to himself so he can run home. Luckily for him, Barry's compliance isn't needed, unluckily for him; it will take a few days to a week for Barry to be completely drained. Luckily for Barry, that gives his friends time to find him, unluckily for him... the process is extremely exhausting and painful.
Cisco doesn't even realize what was happening, just that one second, his hand was on the mannequin where Barry's suit would normally sit, and the next second-- the world had gone blue and Barry was there in front of him; tied to a chair with his eyes squinted shut and watering. He wouldn't normally trust whatever that was, but with no other leads and days flying past far too quickly; he decides to tell the team what he saw.
Two possible timelines: 1. Cisco is able to hone his powers enough to get Barry's location and they arrive just in time... or 2. just too late.

NETEYAM X HUMAN READER PT 2:
A/n: So all of you loved the first part here is the second part for you loviess.
Summary: Neteyam and y/n have strong feelings for each other, only for reader to be human and that they can't really be together because of being different species.
This is based after ATWOW so l there might be hints of spoilers here and there.
3rd p.o.v
It's been two weeks since Neteyam and y/n have seen or heard from each other. Y/n was in the lab with Norm.
"What have you been working on lately? You're always hiding something from me." Y/n points out.
"It's a surprise. Don't worry you'll be able to see it soon." Y/n gives him a quizzical look, but he doesn't move or say anything.
"Have you talked to Neteyam?" Y/n froze. She folds her hands together on the metal table.
"No. And I'm not planning on it until my heart stops beating the way it does for him." She admits, tossing her hands in her hair as she let's out a frustrated growl.
"You can't ignore these feelings y/n." Y/n scoffed, his warm hand resting softly against her bare shoulder.
Y/n wears the same clothes as every other Na'Vi. Only today she's been wearing human clothes.
"I can if it means that our hearts will heal. Eywa made a mistake. She made me feel things for him that I myself can not explain." Norm sighed.
"I was going to keep this as a surprise, it's almost finished.' He started, y/n quickly looks up at the taller man standing beside her.
'What?" She asks, tilting her head to the side to look up at him.
"Follow me." Y/n slowly gets up and walks with the scientist.
"It was actually Jake's and Netyiri's idea. They hated seeing their son in pain, along with you. I used some of Graces' blood samples from her avatar, and I started to create one with Max. Max and I were somehow able to create you as an avatar, the link is almost finished." Y/n had tears in her eyes.
"How long have you been working on this?" Her voice barely above a whisper, scared her voice would crack from the tears pouring out of her eyes.
"Five years. Neteyam doesn't know either, but your nineteenth birthday is coming up in a few days, and you've been even more sad lately." Y/n rubs her fingers against the glass that held her avatar.
Her y/h/c was different compared to the avatar, it was a darker brown, the same tsaheylu as the other Na'Vi as she has her eyes closed.
"When can I go in?' Y/n asked, excitement bubbling her chest.
"Tomorrow. We can start in the early morning. We know you don't have training, but Jake didn't either when he started and you already know how it goes. We just want you two to be happy." Y/n sobbed as she held on to Norm tightly.
"Thank you, Norm. A million times thank you, and Max!" Y/n shouted for the dark curly haired man.
His head popped out as she quickly ran towards him, giving him a tight squeeze.
******
Y/n p.o.v
I woke up before dawn, I couldn't sleep as I was excited to wake up in my Avatar body. I knew the first person I had to find would be Jake and Neytiri. I knew the forest like the back of my hands, so Norm didn't have to come with me.
I quickly get out of bed and skipped to Norm on the balls of my feet.
Norm was already awake, as I stared him with a smile.
"I see you're ready." I quickly nod my head as I jump in the link.
"Just let your mind go blank." I nod my head, as Norm closed the door to the machine.
I closed my eyes. I woke up with lights in my eyes.
"Can you hear me, y/n?" I let out a small laugh, I raised my hands. They were blue!
"It worked!" I exclaimed.
"Can you wiggle your toes?" I nod my head, I wiggled my toes.
"Good, good." Norm said.
I sit up carefully as I plant my feet on the cold concrete floor.
"When am I able to see him?" I asked, as Norm was telling me to touch each fingers.
"Soon, we just have to finish this test." I nod my head, getting impatient.
I noticed that the door wasn't very far from where I was, I quickly get up.
"Damn it! Y/n, sit down!" I let out a laugh as I wasn't used to being so tall.
I gave Norm two thumbs up as I ran towards the door. My senses were heightened, my vision was better in my Avatar then it was in my human form.
Neteyam, I have to find him.
But first, I have to find Jake and Neytiri. I ran in the forest, I didn't dare to look back, but I knew that I would get scolded later.
I made it to the home tree, everyone looked at me strangely.
"Y/n?" I turned to my left and saw Kiri with Tuk.
"What happened to you?" I smiled.
"Cute butt, by the way." She added, as I was in a hospital gown.
"Hush. Norm has been creating an avatar for me. Where's your father?" Kiri points to Jake, who was polishing guns in the tent.
I quickly started to walk towards him.
"Do you think you have any spare clothes I could borrow?' I asked, I noticed Netyiri glance up as she gives me a beaming smile.
"Norm told you I see." Jake chuckled, as I was in a hospital gown.
"Yea, I got a little too excited. I literally ran out of the lab." Jake laughed.
"Come." Neytiri takes my hand in hers. She drags me over to a corner as she hands me an extra loincloth and a brallette that was made with feathers.
"Have you seen Neteyam?' Neytiri and Jake look at each other.
"I'm back!" Y/n's breath hitched, Neytiri places her hands on her shoulders.
"We caught som-' He paused dropping his hunting bow as Lo'ak started to complain.
"Bro, this animal is heavy. Can you move!" He struggled as Jake decided to get up from his position on the ground and help Lo'ak.
'Hi." Y/n was the first to break the silence.
"Can we have a moment alone, please?" I could hear the annoyance in his voice.
Everyone quickly left the tent as it was just Y/n and Neteyam.
"What the hell is this?' He pointed at me, as I was no longer in my human body.
"I just found out about this last night." Y/n continued to look down.
"Look at me." Neteyam spoke softly.
She complied.
"We could be together now, Neteyam." She smiled softly, Neteyam placed his hand on her cheek.
The two both had tears falling down their face.
"But then you'd have to transfer your human body into-" She nods her head.
"We could be mates. I was already training to be a Tsahik, I could be your Tsahik now Neteyam." Neteyam places his forehead against hers.
They could finally have their first kiss, they could finally have their happily ever after.

Masterlist || Chapter 5 || Chapter 7
Tumblr media
“She’s coming to!”
“Hey, kid, can you hear me?”
You could hear the voices of different people calling out to you but they were all muffled as if coming from underwater and the more you strained to hear better, the louder the ringing in your ears got.
“Where am I?” you uttered as your eyes fluttered open but you were tempted to close them again because the harsh light shining into them was enhancing your already painful headache.
“We’re on our way to Hawkins Lab,” informed you Hopper, and you shot up in a sitting position, regretting it almost instantly as a sharp pain hit you, making you wince. “Hey, hey, careful now,” he scolded you as he tried to get you to lie back down. “Get that light away,” he harshly pushed the hand of the soldier away from you and the light disappeared.
“Hey, I’m trying to do my job here and do a check-up.”
“I’ll give you check-up.”
As time went by, you gained full consciousness and your vision cleared and adjusted. You were able to think straight again and tried to recall the events from yesterday and today.
You tried to push aside the throbbing headache as the vehicle finally came to a stop and the soldiers brought you outside. You saw your mother getting out of another vehicle with your brother – who was screaming in pain and convulsing – being carried away. You shouted in panic, gaining Joyce’s attention.
“Y/N! Hopper!” she ran towards you but was stopped by a soldier who obstructed her way and directed her to go elsewhere while another grabbed you by the arm and ushered you and Hopper inside the lab despite your mother’s protests. Everything happened so fast and it was so chaotic that you got dizzy and couldn’t find your bearings as you let people push and drag you around.
A group of female doctors and soldiers took you in their care. They brought you to a separate room, undressed you, and hosed you down from head to toe. So much filth was sliding off you and onto the light blue tiles that you almost blushed in embarrassment as if being naked wasn’t embarrassing enough already. They gave you clean underwear and a hospital scrub that you clumsily put on before they dragged you away into an office so they could inspect the wound on your head, clean it and wrap it up.
It wasn’t a big wound. The place where you had hit your head was grazed, a bit beat up, and swollen. The blood had stopped flowing long ago though and it didn’t need stitches which you were grateful for.
“Alright, now follow my finger,” instructed a nurse.
“Yes, yes, I can follow your goddamn finger very well but if you don’t take me to my brother, you’ll find out where that finger goes!” you snapped and she jumped away from you, eyes wide in shock.
That had done the trick because shortly after, a soldier was guiding you to your brother’s room. You weren’t exactly proud of your attitude and the way you had barked at her because she was just doing her job but you were in pain, you were irritated, you were scared like hell and you were very, very worried for your brother so all you wanted was for you to go join your family.
When you entered, your mother immediately rushed to you and engulfed you in a tight hug.
“Oh, sweetie, a-are you alright?” she sniffed as she turned your head sideways to look at the wrapped-up wound and you nodded.
“I’m fine, mom. I just have a headache,” you reassured her and she caressed your face, placing a kiss on your temple. “How’s Will?” you asked and she stepped away, allowing you to get a better look at the boy who was lying in a bed, in a hospital gown, with EEGs attached to his head.
Your heart clenched at the sight.
You sat next to him on the bed and caressed the side of his head as you battled tears. Yet again your baby brother was suffering and you were unable to do anything about it.
“Why him?” you whispered but you didn’t receive an answer. You didn’t expect an answer because none of you had one.
Tumblr media
Your mother had to go speak to the doctors shortly after this and you had moved to a chair by Will’s bed. Mike had brought you a blanket and that was the first time you actually noticed his presence. You had been so out of it.
“Hey, kiddo. How did you get here?” you asked as you took the blanket and he let out a long exhale as he walked back to his chair on the other side of Will’s bed and plopped down.
“Well…you called us yesterday and said things were ok but you also said you were afraid they might get worse. And…when you didn’t call again, we got worried,” he explained. “So, after school, I decided to visit you, and…the rest is history.”
“I see…I hate that you got mixed into this again,” you sent him an apologetic look.
He shook his head and stated firmly, “Will is my best friend. I’m not walking out of this, no matter what.”
“Well, that’s certainly very brave of you, little knight,” you smiled and he blushed, looking at his feet.
At one point, you had crossed your arms on the bed and laid your head on them which resulted in you dozing off. You had been stuck between dreams and reality, managing to sort of hear your mother and Bob’s conversation although it was all just very muffled and dreamlike.
That’s when you felt fingers run over a spot on your bandaged forehead and your eyes opened. You sobered up immediately when you saw that Will had woken up and was looking at you with so many mixed emotions but the overwhelming ones were fear and concern. Your hand went to grasp his and pull it away from your head as you placed a kiss on it.
“Hey, buddy. How are you feeling?” you asked which drew the attention of everyone in the room.
“I’m okay,” he muttered and you gave him an encouraging smile, leaning to place a kiss on his temple.
“Sweetie, how are you feeling? You ok?” asked Joyce as she rushed to the bedside with Bob. Mike also jerked awake when he heard the talking and everyone gathered around your brother.
“Who is that?” asked Will as he stared at Bob in confusion and everyone’s happy, relieved faces fell. You paled and you felt as if someone just threw a bucket of cold water on you.
“What?”
“It’s me, big guy. It’s Bob,” chuckled the man quietly as he sent Will a smile but you could see he was trying to hide his worry. He reached to grasp the boy’s hand but he moved it away.
“Are you a…doctor?”
“No…No, it’s just me…Just… just Bob.”
Tumblr media
“Do you know your name?” asked Dr. Owens after he finished the manual check-up.
“Will.”
“Your full name?”
“William Byers.”
“Do you know who I am?”
“A doctor.”
A bunch of doctors, Hopper, Mike, Joyce, and Bob had gathered around Will, expectantly and worriedly observing what was happening. You were nearby – standing by the windows on Will’s left – with arms crossed and eyes constantly darting between your brother and the scenery outside. You didn’t want to watch him like a hawk –like the others were doing – afraid to not make him even more nervous. You supposed they were contributing to that more than enough. You were so jumpy and so worried that you didn’t know what to do and where to focus. Your foot was bouncing and shaking as your brain went on overload and your teeth broke the skin of your lower lip to the point of bleeding.
“Have we met before?” continued Owens.
“I don’t remember.”
“You don’t remember me? Ok. How about…this guy here?” he pointed towards Mike and Will blinked, trying to put memory to the face. “Know who that is?...It’s alright, take your time.”
“That’s…my friend…Mike,” he finally spoke out and everyone let out small smiles. You also wanted to breathe out in relief but your chest was so tight and your gut – twisted.
“What about me, kid? You remember me?” asked Hopper hopefully but Will shook his head. “They tell me you helped save me and your sister last night. You remember that?” he tried again, voice soft as if speaking to a wounded animal and filled with gratitude but the answer was negative yet again.
“Do you remember anything about last night? About what happened?”
“I remember they hurt me,” he finally spoke and you squeezed your eyes shut, eyebrows furrowing. Your mother had filled you in earlier when you had been finally allowed to reunite. She told you all about that night and how Will had gotten hurt and had to be urgently brought to the lab. She had described his cries and pain with such a heartbroken expression that you had almost sobbed, your artistic, creative imagination being able to paint the horrific picture in your mind.
“You mean the doctors?”
“No…The soldiers,” his voice got more serious and now your eyes fully focused on him. “They shouldn’t have done that…It upset him,” he almost spat out and your forehead wrinkled in concern as you looked at your mother who looked back at you with the same emotions showing on her face.
Then, Dr. Owens pulled out a picture and showed it to Will, asking if the creature he had drawn was the one he was referring to. And now everyone knew for sure.
“Okay. Okay, I wanna try something. It’s gonna seem a little odd at first but I think it’s really gonna help us understand what’s going on,” he offered and Joyce looked at Bob and Hopper in hesitation but eventually agreed and so did Will.
Shortly after, a scientist came into the room, pushing a stroller. He stopped in front of you and you could see that the transparent container on the stroller contained a small part of the creature that had attacked you last night. And it was moving too.
“Now, Will, I want you to just let us know if you feel anything, ok?” instructed the doctor and Will nodded. He was keeping his composure but you knew he was afraid. He was just a kid after all.
He gave a signal to the other scientist and he took a blowtorch, lighting it up. He placed it high above the vine and began lowering it down very slowly.
“Do you feel anything?”
“Little stinging,” answered the boy and you frowned.
“Stings? Where?”
“My chest,” he whined as he clutched the hospital gown at his chest and you and your mother exchanged worried looks. After another signal from Owens, the other man lowered the blowtorch even more and your brother’s breathing increased.
“How about now?”
“It…it burns!” he shot straight up and cried out. “It burns!”
“Where?”
“Everywhere!” he screamed in pain and you couldn’t take it anymore.
“Alright, that’s enough!” you yelled, Hopper and your mom joining in, as you took a step forward and grabbed the man by his collar, pulling him away from the container with the vine. “Knock it off!” you growled in his face as you roughly pushed him away and he stumbled backward. You whirled to look at your brother, noticing that he had calmed down a bit which meant the pain had stopped. He looked at you through glistening eyes with heavy eye bags and you returned to his side, sitting on the edge of the bed and pulling him to your side. He wrapped his arms around you, laying his head on your chest as you hugged him tightly.
“It’s ok, sweetie. It’s over,” you murmured in his hair as you looked at your mother and Hopper, all of you sharing concerned expressions and rapidly beating hearts. Dr. Owens signaled at you to meet him outside and you pulled away from Will, telling him you’d come back in a couple of minutes before following the doctor alongside Jim and Joyce.
“Our best guess right now is it’s some kind of virus which is causing this neurological disorder,” explained Owens after you had gathered outside. “Now, when a typical virus attaches itself to its host it duplicates, right? It spreads, essentially hijacking the host. A virus is alive. It has intelligence. That’s not… That’s not unusual.”
“Yeah, except what’s unusual in this particular situation is that we’re talking about a shadow alien monster that has possessed my brother,” you drawled and the doctor lifted his hands.
“True. And I think that…thing is the reason for the anomalies happening with Will. Now, this…virus, I’m just gonna call it virus…The infected hosts seem to be communicating. It has some sort of a hive intelligence and it’s connecting all the hosts.”
“So what does that mean? That whatever happens to those vines and God knows what else is going to reflect on Will too? Like the shit show we saw back in the room?” you asked, voice raising with each question and the man nodded.
“I’m afraid that is the case,” he agreed grimly and your mother’s hand flew to her mouth, eyes watering. “The good news is that a virus can be cured. We’re gonna continue to run tests. We’re gonna see what we find,” he tried to calm you all down.
“What happens when he can’t remember anything? When there’s nothing else there?” whimpered Joyce. “What happens when my boy is gone?”
“I think we should spend some time thinking on how to get that thing out of Will... right?” you asked as you looked at everyone one by one. “I mean once it’s out, we wouldn’t have to worry about the connection between Will and the other hosts and you can go on a rampage burning those things for good,” you explained your point of view and Dr. Owens nodded.
“Well, what do you suggest?”
“It’s a-a shadow monster that got into him. This is not just…a clump of parasitic cells. It’s a living creature that seems to be much smarter than all of us put together and it seems like it has some kinda…I don’t know, goal in its mind. Otherwise, why would it work in such a well-orchestrated way?” you nibbled at the skin on your finger. “I don’t know, maybe we should get an exorcist at this point or something,” you threw your hands in frustration and helplessness before letting them dangle at your sides in defeat. “Maybe we should…create harsh conditions for it so it would be unable to survive. I don’t know,” you sighed as you put a hand on your hip while the other went to rub your temple, eyes squeezing shut at the throbbing pain you were feeling right now.
“Those are valid suggestions that we’ll definitely look into. But…I’m afraid I’m not finished…that’s not all there is,” said the doctor with a tired sigh and your eyes snapped open as you lifted your head to look at the man, giving him your full attention. He kept silent for some time and you lowered the hand that was buried in your hair, looking at your mother and Hopper who looked back at you with shared confusion and concern.
“Well, what is it?”
“You are also…threatened, Y/N,” finally spoke the man and the three of you blanched.
“Wha-what do you mean by that?” asked Hopper unsettled.
“The examinations we did on you came through. Your condition is…similar yet different from Will’s,” explained Owens.
“I feel fine,” you responded flatly, eyes unblinking, and he shook his head.
“For now you do, yes… But it seems to me like this virus either wants to transfer to another host or is trying to seize control of multiple hosts at once and spread even more. Now, I don’t yet know if you’re infected the same way your brother is or if you’d develop a similar connection to that thing but even if you don’t… you are certainly marked,” revealed the man grimly and Joyce put a hand over her heart while the other went to grasp your shoulder while Hopper sent you a concerned look. You stood there for a couple of seconds, staring at the floor before you looked up.
“Never mind me…Focus on Will,” you told him as you stared into his eyes for a while before slowly turning around and entering back inside.
Joyce let out a muffled sob as she leaned on Hopper and he wrapped his arms around her.
“It’s gonna be fine. We’ll fix this.”
Tumblr media
Steve and Dustin had been walking for what seemed to be ages, throwing meat pieces all over the abandoned railroad. And they had just finished having the ‘girl talk’, which left Steve emotionally drained. Dustin however didn’t seem to want to end the topic so after talking about Nancy he chose to go in another direction.
“What about…Y/N?” asked the boy hesitantly and Steve did a double-take.
“Y/N? Why-why are you bringing Y/N into this?
“I don’t know, man, there’s just something between you two. Like…that sexual electricity you were talking about-
“Whoa, whoa, whoa!” cried out the boy as he halted and whirled to look at his companion. “Se-sexual electricity?
“Yeah,” shrugged Dustin. “I mean, I don’t know but I can’t just…see you as only friends, you know what I’m sayin’?” he inquired and Steve stood there in silence before letting out a sigh and resuming his walking, slower this time.
“Look, I’ll tell you something about Y/N that I haven’t told anyone about and if you let it slip, you’ll be as dead and as sliced as the meat we’re carrying,” threatened Steve and Dustin gulped, curiosity flooding him.
“I’m silent as the grave,” reassured Dustin as he crossed a finger over his heart and Steve let out another long sigh.
“Fuck,” he whispered as he scrunched up his nose and looked around before back on the road ahead. “I love Y/N,” he finally barked out and Dustin’s eyes widened as he came to a sudden stop.
“What!?” he yelled and Steve ran the back of his gloved hand over his forehead, as if wiping invisible sweat.
“It’s weird…I know,” he grumbled and the two kept on walking. “Honestly, I don’t even remember when this all started. I mean I’ve felt this way pretty much since I first met her.”
“Then why didn’t you confess?”
“I don’t know… I think… I didn’t wanna ruin our friendship, ya know,” he shrugged. “And she never seemed interested in dating. You know her. She’s always busy studying. Besides, she has her hands full taking care of her family soo… I didn’t think she’d have the energy to deal with a boyfriend,” he rambled out and Dustin hummed.
“Yeah, I see… But then why did you start dating Nancy?”
“Well…I guess I…needed to fall out of love,” he revealed pitifully. “Nancy is amazing! She’s different than the other girls and I really do like her a lot as a person…So I thought that…if I focused on my feelings for her, they’d grow even more over time and…I’ll fall out of love for Y/N and fall in love with Nancy.”
“Well, that didn’t exactly work out, did it?” huffed out a laugh Dustin and Steve shot him the stink eye, making him tighten his lips and clear his throat.
“Honestly, at this point…I don’t think Nancy loves me either. Likes? Yeah…but not loves. I suppose we are the same in that regard. So if she wants to…officially break up and date Jonathan…I’ll let her go,” confessed the boy as he threw a piece of meat on the ground.
“But then what will happen with you and Y/N? I mean, she’s not stupid. She’s gonna realize you have feelings for her sooner or later.”
“I’ll tell her the truth,” he declared and Dustin’s eyes widened. “But when we graduate!” he half whirled and pointed. “Cause at least we’ll go on separate ways after that and it won’t be embarrassing when she rejects me,” groaned the boy as he kicked a pebble.
“I think that both of you are blind idiots.”
“Come again, Henderson!?”
“Nothing! I said nothing!”
Tumblr media
A few hours later
There was something odd about this whole situation.
The moment your brother had told everyone that he knew of a way to defeat the creature, a gnawing feeling settled in the pits of your stomach. And it only got worse the more time went by.
Now you were standing in the control room alongside Hopper and Dr. Owens, having insisted on joining them and observing the mission the soldiers had set out on.
Your brows furrowed as panic settled once you saw familiar tunnels and judging by Hopper’s expression, you weren’t the only one.
“Wait. That’s where we were!” Hopper beat you to it and Owens looked at him surprised.
“What?”
“It’s that damn graveyard.”
“Sir, there’s nothing here.”
“Looks like your kid’s full of shit, doc,” commented one of the scientists, and you shot him a glare that could kill, making him recoil and choke on his snickers, smile faltering.
“Got some kind of fog moving in now.”
“We’ve got movement!” exclaimed a woman and you saw multiple red dots on the radar, closing in on the soldiers.
“It’s a trap,” you whispered as the sudden realization dawned on you but nobody was listening to you as they all focused on the monitors. “It’s a trap!” you shouted. “Get them out of there! Now!”
The whole room erupted in chaos as the soldiers began screaming. You could hear the sound of distant shooting as you grabbed Hopper by the arm, the two of you exchanging panicked looks.
Dead silence suffocated the room after the last living soldier screamed before he was torn apart – a drastic, scary contrast to the previous chaos. Hopper let go of you as he approached the monitor and your eyes widened when you saw the red dots clumping together and going in a certain direction.
“There’s no way they can get in here, right?” you asked wobbly. “Right, doc?” you asked again and Owens opened and closed his mouth, not knowing what answer to give to you.
Then you heard it – a horrifying, familiar sound that was much too close for comfort.
The growling of monsters.
Hopper rushed to the glass and you followed after him, the two of you looking down the hellish hole. And you almost jumped in fright when you saw a clawed hand shoot out of it.

We’re Going To Be Parents: Peter Ballard
Stranger Things Masterlist
word count: 745
request: listen listen. so a Peter Ballard x Fem!reader the reader is around in her late twenties. where they were in a secret relationship and he helps her escape the lab.
Tumblr media
You and Peter had been in a secret relationship for almost two years now, he fell in love with how kind and sweet you were despite working for Dr. Bennett. You were like a ray of sunshine in the lab and the children seemed to enjoy it eventually one day Peter found himself opening up to you which he hadn't done in a long time and it seemed the relationship blossomed from there.
Peter had been thinking about running away from this place with you, so that maybe just maybe you two could live a normal life being married, having children and a house to grow old in, instead of staying here and having to constantly hide your relationship.
"What are you thinking about my love?" You asked running your fingers through his hair.
"What it would be like if we could leave here and live a normal life...Have you ever thought about that?" He asked looking up at you.
"Every day I wish it could be reality." You said sadly making him sit up and look at you.
"Then let's make it. Let's make a plan to get out of here and start living for ourselves instead of someone else." He said lacing his hands with yours.
"You mean that?" You asked looking at him.
"I do. Just give me a few days to finalize everything and then we can plan to leave here and never look back, okay?" He asked you as you nodded.
A few nights later Peter came to you and explained the plan and how the next night you two would leave during the guard changes and how he had a getaway car and where you two would be staying for a few days figured out.
"You really thought of everything." You said looking at him with a smile.
"I did...I told you nothing was going to stop us from leaving here tomorrow and starting our lives together." He said.
You two escaped and made it to the hideout house where you would stay for a week while Peter's friend finished getting your more permanent place set up the only downside is that you had gotten sick.
"Baby that's the like tenth time you've thrown up today alone, maybe we should take you to the  hospital." Peter said as held your hair back and rubbed your back.
"No hospital." You said as you brushed your teeth.
"Fine none today, but if not better by tomorrow then we're going because something is wrong with you." He said.
"Probably just a stomach bug or something. But to ease your worry we'll go." You said as you walked into your room and took a seat on the bed.
The next came and you were feeling even worse so you allowed Peter to take you to the local hospital despite you not wanting to go at all. The nurse got you two checked and you couldn't tell who was more anxious between you and Peter, who kept his hand tightly on yours until your name was called.
After explaining your symptoms and asking you a few questions the nurse suggested that you get some blood work done first then they would have you change into a gown so they could do a sonogram on you.
"This will be cold for a minute." She said to apply some gel to your stomach as Peter kept hold of your hand.
"Just as I thought..." She said moving the wand around your stomach.
"You guys are pregnant, I would say maybe about 4 weeks it's still in the early stages. So I am going to recommend some resources to you guys and get you set up for your next appointment." She said as you lay there stunned, you never suspected that you were pregnant.
"I'll go grab those resources and give you two a minute to talk." She stepping out of the room.
"Peter baby I had no idea..." You start to say but he shushes you.
"No need to apologize, while I would've loved to be more settled in our new home. Starting a family with you is something I've always wanted." He said.
"I can't believe we are going to be parent's." You said looking up at him through glassy eyes.
"I know, but there's no one else I rather do it with. I love you Y/N." He said placing a kiss on your lips.
"I love you Peter." You said leaning your head against his.

“Thank Eywa”
Neteyam x Human!Reader
Warnings: fluff, Neteyam being a sweet bby 😌
Y/n is human meaning she needs a mask to breathe on Pandora, or so everyone thought.
“Come on tayem” i groan as I grab his arm and i try to pull him up off the ground “‘m’to tired” he groans I scoff “you’ve had enough beauty sleep now get up I wanna go on for a ride” he pulls his arm out of my hand and opens his eyes “fine” he rolls his eyes then sits up slowly. I smile in victory as we walk towards his Ikran “I own you, your my little pet now” I laugh referring to how he listened to me about going for a ride “oh shut it you skxawng” he rolls his eyes then jumps on his Ikrans back while my feet are still flat on the ground “a little help please” he chuckles then jumps off his Ikran “what would you do without me y/n” he places his hands on my waist then lifts me up effortlessly so I can get on Ikrans back then he jumps back on.
I close my eyes as I feel the wind blowing through my hair, what I would do to feel the Pandorian air blowing on my face, to feel free but no I was stuck in my little human body with this mask stuck on my face, I sigh and I slump my body down and it’s like Neteyam read my mind “whats wrong y/n?” he slows down the Ikran “nothing” I perk back up, not wanting to ruin the day. I lean back on his chest as we speed up again, I sigh once again, I’ll never be able to smell his scent, breathe the air of Pandora and Neteyam cant even touch my face. Neteyam and I have been friends since forever, I was found hiding under a broken tree branch outside of the forbidden shack just as a child and the Sully family immediately took me in. Me being a few months younger then Neteyam made us click instantly we’ve been bestfriends since the moment we met, but lately I’ve been wanting to be more then friends I want to be his number one girl, his mate, his partner but because of my stupid demon blood we’ll never be compatible and I hate myself for it.
“Y/n we’re here, grab your stuff and follow me” Im bought out of my thoughts by Neteyams soft voice “yup” I mumble quietly as I grab my testing kit. “Woah look at this” my voice echos through the dark cave thats dimly lighten by neteyams noen bodys glow, I walk over to the clay paintings on the walls “these must be hundreds maybe even thousands of years old” I stare at the paintings in awe, I run my fingers over the smooth paintings as I take them in, its a painting of an Omaticayan family, 4 kids and 2 parents I smile “y/n quickly look!” I hear neteyams voice echo and I walk towards him, hes looking up at the roof of the cave and I follow his gaze. “Oh my” my jaw drops as my eyes meet the sight of illuminating purple crystals “its…it’s beautiful” I laugh softly, I reach over into my bag to grab a small tester tub to take back to the lab, I reach up to grab a piece of the crystal and to my luck a piece breaks off in my hand, a wide smile spreads across my face “teyam look” i reach my hand out to show him the crystal in my hand. But then pieces of crystal starts falling from the cave roof, one hits the glass mask i am wearing shit. It crackled the glass, I look over at neteyam as worry spreads across my face, he rushes over to me “shit shit y/n we need to get you back to the lab and get you a new mask, take small breaths okay” he grabs my hand and drags me towards the Ikran, I take a deep breath and i feel fine? I take another and another and I’m still fine? “Neteyam..” he turns to me, worry written all over his face “what is it” he quickly pulls me close to him and inspects my face “I can breathe fine” I take another deep breath, he raises an eyebrow “what do you mean?” I feel his big hand placed on my bare back and my face flushes “i dont need my mask, i can breathe finw” i giggle loudly “w-what i dont understand” he stands back and looks at me confused, I move my hands to the mask then I rip it off my face “i dont know how I can survive without it but i dont need it” i smile widely. I look up and I see the 8ft blue boy approaching me, his tail swinging side to side like crazy and he grabs my face and pulls me closer to him then crashes his lips on mine, i stand in shook, my eyes wide open and my body frozen. My bestfriend is kissing me. He is kissing me. I then close my eyes then I kiss back, our lips molding together, his soft lips connecting with mine ignites a fire inside me. He runs his tongue across my lips and my heart skips a beat but then he pulls away, I look up at him confused “Thank Eywa now I can kiss you all I like and theres no mask stopping me” He smiles widly then crashes his lips back on mine.
Part 2??
Very short one but I am tired its 5am and I haven’t slept sorry 🥲
