A few hours before the wedding... (reader is referred to as wife)
"What are you doing?" you giggle as Chan peeks his head through your changing room.
"I'm here to see my future wife," he grins at you, his dimples full on display.
"Nooo don't come in. It's bad omen for you to see me," you shoo him away but the smile on your face betrays you. Truth is, you were glad he was here. The wedding was set to start in a few hours, and you've been feeling a little nervous without him by your side.
"Honey, even if the entire universe stands against us, they wouldn't be able to stop me from marrying you." He reassures as he walks towards you, hands deep inside his pockets, his black tie loosely hanging from his collar.
"Oh, yeah?" you beam at him, lacing your hands around his neck as soon as he's in front of you.
"Mm," he hums, before leaning in to capture your lips in a sweet kiss. "Missed you," he mumbles against your mouth and you smile into the kiss, "missed you more."
Chan pulls away before leaning his forehead against yours. His hand finds your own and he brings it to his mouth, placing a gentle kiss on your palm. His touch is so tender; you are suddenly hit by the realization that you're the only one he will love this way for the rest of his life.
Tears prickle at the corner of your eyes and you clear your throat to ride out this wave of emotion. Leave the crying to the wedding, you remind yourself.
"Be honest with me," you grin knowingly at Chan. "You are only here because you can't do your tie yourself."
"Whaaaat? I'm here because I missed you."
"And?" you watch amusedly as Chan fiddles with his right earlobe, his eyes looking up at the ceiling.
"And... I suppose you are the only one who can tie it for me." You giggle at the blush dusting his cheeks. Adorable.
"Come here, you big baby. How will you ever survive without me?"
This is possibly way too specific BUT for any of my urban/contemporary fantasy or magical realism type reader girlies who are also eagerly following the whole Kendrick dragging Drake situation then BOY do I have the rec for you
White lady steals a magical golden comb from the Jamaican river spirit River Mumma to open a Jamaican restaurant in Toronto, consequences occur, and she gives the comb away and our protagonist has to set off on a Wizard of Oz style quest across the city to try and get it back from (and i swear I'm not lying lol) DRAKE who's refusing to return it because he's a fucking hack lol.
Yes it's a weird book but I really enjoyed it and I genuinely don't think there will ever be a better time to recommend it lol
Part 2 of my AOT characters' sexualities headcanons because it's pride month and I basically forgot to post it earlier. Check out my previous post for [part 1], and the last part will be here soon (it's my opinion, pls be nice, homophobes DNI)
Part 2 - Veterans under the cut
Levi - homoromantic asexual
Erwin was his first love, although it took him forever to realize that his feelings towards him were romantic in nature. And after that, he just accepted his feelings and moved on with his life. He’s sex-neutral and likes to take things at his own pace, mostly because of his germaphobia.
Hange - pansexual
I mean just look at them, absolutely no care about gender! They just go with the flow and like to experiment and learn new things about themself. As long as someone is interesting and can stand their long and weird all-night talks, that’s all that matters. Hange is very open about their sexuality and also being non-binary (probably closer to agender actually). They learned that no matter what there will always be hateful people, but why should they care about it when they can be happy in their own skin.
Erwin - gay
I was really torn between gay and bi, but I finally decided that he’s gay. Outside of the Scout Regiment, Paradis can be pretty homophobic, especially when you’re holding an important position. Based on those expectations, Erwin either made himself think he was straight and loved Marie or he always just liked her platonically. But when he met Levi everything clicked and he truly fell for him.
Miche - straight (big ally)
He's never had any doubts about his sexuality, he is very much a ladies' man from the get-go. He’s a big ally and will not tolerate any homophobia towards anyone, especially his friends. Bonus fact: he always knew Erwin was gay but never said anything because he could sense it was a sensitive topic for him (you could say that he could smell it from a mile! … okay I’ll stop now).
Moblit - straight (also big ally)
He’s very shy and awkward when it comes to romance and sexuality, so he doesn’t really like to think about it. He’s like 80% sure that he’s straight, but there’s still that 20% left. But it’s not like there’s a time limit or any special reason for him to get his answer quickly, if ever. For now, he has other things to worry about, mostly keeping Hange alive and well.
