Obsessed with the way Eddie was the first to arrive to the party, and pretty much the only one besides Buck who made a solid, obvious effort to dress up to the 80's theme, who stayed behind even when everyone else left, who never left Buck's side, and who was not only the first one but also the last one there. And sure, other people had obligations, but so does Eddie. He still made sure that Chris was taken care of, that there were no work conflicts, no rush to get home or leave. He was ready and committed to being there for Chimney and Buck and his friends.
Really, that "you're late 😠!" from Buck was so undeserved, Buck needs to wake up.
But also, it was kinda sweet, and revealing because it told us that he knows Eddie and the way Eddie can be relied on.
Eddie is someone who Buck so obviously has learned to expect to always be the rock, the one who makes a promise and delivers. Eddie is so reliable that even the smallest anomaly deviating from that, being a little bit late - even though he was the first one to arrive! - is out of the norm.
Buck has been conditioned to trust Eddie, it's been years of them knowing each other, him observing Eddie's behavior. He does not expect tardiness, he looks behind fully waiting to see Eddie there, securing his back, no bullshit excuses. Eddie is his wingman.
They really are a team. As they promised, from that first day they met 😭❤️
"Isn't that what we all want in a partner, knowing that they have your back?"

The NC is really similar to The Hunger Games. I mentioned before how I think the NC is a dystopian nightmare but, as someone pointed out, it's very similar to Panem.
Even in the excuses they use. The blood right has to happen to solve conflicts between war camps and prevent civil war. The CON has to maintain it's appearance in order to protect Velaris from discovery. Rhysand has to basically abuse and neglect his own people in a show of power at the slightest sign of disobedience or revolt because it's the only way to maintain order.
Sound familiar? The Capital said the same things, and look where there that got them.
It was a fic by @kataraavatara , Those the stars cannot hear, that made me realise this. As she so eloquently put, "if they need to enter a yearly killing arena in order to avoid having a civil war, what else are we meant to think?"
And take it a step further, if abusing his people is the only way to prevent civil war, and maintain his authority as HL, what are we supposed to see him as, other than a dictator or a villain. If he acts like a villain, and thinks like a villain, then he's a villain. It's really not that complicated.
And don't even start with me about Velaris. The people there obviously don't have any concerns. They either don't know what's happening, or they don't care. It doesn't affect them, and they get to live in peace. Plus, it's better then being sentenced to life in either of those places, as far as they're concerned. They have it made, never worrying about their city being under attack, until ACOMAF. Never worrying about mysterious daematis killing their children, or having a cursed placed on them to punish their HL. They have no reason to complain and every reason to go along with it. If only to avoid meeting the same fate.

This might be an unpopular opinion but I literally could not care less about your opinion about the I/P conflict in general and particularly about the current war if you’re not Israeli or Palestinian who either lives here or has immediate family members who live here. When you’ve got no stakes in this conflict your arguments are meaningless and unoriginal at best, and are also usually flat out racist, antisemitic or islamophobic. Our actual real lives are not a fandom war and your shallow opinions do not matter to me 🫶🏻

You’re totally right Tumblr doesn’t manage the for you section. But this is so fucked up
https://www.tumblr.com/elitefourkylewantstobattle/732071926522167296
Typically when things like this happen on here it is because the post (and person) were mass-reported.
Reminder that my original owlvid blog was deleted because of fatphobic weirdos spam-reporting my blog when I was making posts about BMI being made by eugenicists who wanted to make Americans look more physically imposing to other countries and that many people classified as “morbidly obese” by the scale do not have high enough levels of body fat to actually impact their health, and that BMI and similar “ideal weight” metrics don’t take the weight of muscle into account and the weight loss trend has caused millions of people to develop eating disorders throughout the years.
A video like the one posted in the link you provided is going to be controversial because zionists won’t like it and the wording used in the video is unfortunately very easy to make look antisemitic. The section of the video where the speaker started saying “this percentage of Jews think they’re smarter and better than everyone” or whatever does align dangerously with a lot of antisemitic beliefs, so because he didn’t continue to say Israelis or Israeli Jews to speak against this nationalistic culture, it makes it extremely simple for zionists to point to that and spin the entire video as being lies and antisemitic propaganda. That leads to mass-reports against it.
I don’t doubt staff has Zionist sympathizers among them simply because staff is largely if not exclusively American and it is very difficult for people in this country to access accurate information about the Israel Palestine conflict because the government sponsors so much propaganda supporting Israel and against Arabs and Muslims in general, leading to a large amount of Americans drinking the koolaid and believing Israel to be justified. However, there is also a good chance that this person and the post were mass-reported and taken down automatically because staff doesn’t always back-check to ensure someone or their posts were actually dangerous if they reach a certain threshold of reports they just terminate everything.

please check who you’re reblogging from i understand completely wanting to educate yourself and others on parts of israel and palestine’s history that get comparatively swept under the rug but people who are saying shit like “idk about a ceasefire” and essentially decrying people protesting for palestine’s liberation and treating israel’s continued genocide as a complex issue and not flat out ethnic cleansing are not who you wanna boost that info from

hey seriously all of my thoughts and all of my heart to any palestinian follower I might have, any israeli who lost someone and/or tried to oppose this murderous regime and whose voice is being silenced right now, any arabic and/or muslim follower who feels like their lives aren't worth even half a shard of empathy from the western world at large, and any jewish follower who may feel like their faith is being instrumentalized in the worst possible way
I'm genuinely so sick, so disgusted, so appalled, and I don't know what to do but donate and that feels like nothing, and I'm not even close emotionally to any of that so I can't even fucking imagine what you must be going through.
I'm so, so, so sorry. This is so wrong. This is so unfair. There are no words. Genuinely. This is humanity at its very worst.
