Who are the people that Toby likes the most?

Natalie, Jack, and Ben!

Toby has known Natalie for about 5 years, and Jack for 4, and Ben for 3. ok now im gonna do long ass headcanons for their relationships bc im just soooooooo silly . .

toby and natalie knew eachother when they were at the height of like.. using murder as a relief/power trip. it was a really sick and fucked up thing to bond over, and it wasnt something either of them took lightly or as a joke. but it was something they did talk about, moreso 'let me tell you about my night' and they'd kinda just allude to the murder part of it. eventually, natalie stopped killing as much (and stuck strictly to freak weirdo men at bars/clubs who try taking advantage of ppl). toby doesn't have the luxury to stop bc he only did it when the situation/order calls for it.

they usually just lounge around together. watch trash reality tv, natalie was ashamed of her art for a while but toby loves getting her to show him her stuff. toby taught her how to axe throw and cut down trees. he helped fix up the barn she stays in so it's actually livable. he even got brian to help with shit like insulation cuz theres no heat/ac in it. sometimes he does her hair if shes having an awful night. she never had someone to brush her hair growing up, having no mother/sister/girl friends, and finds it to be insanely fucking relaxing. lulls her to sleep so quick. it reminds toby of lyra and he cried one time after she fell asleep from it. she never found out about it.

toby was the first proxy to be nice to jack. not that tim and brian were horrible to jack (only after he was . . 'tamed' i guess). but toby was the first one to like, bring him things, talk to him, actually attempt bonding. if tobys feeling lonely and natalies not in the mood to entertain, jack was almost always welcoming. ok maybe not welcoming in the like :) hiiii toby. way. but in the. 'ok yea whatever come in i guess' way.

jack used to cook a lot before he was sacrificed. now he doesnt have the same taste buds, and while he can eat human food, its all pretty bland to him. best he can enjoy is insanely spicy stuff, and thats more sensation rather than flavor. BUT TOBY. that fucking dude can EAT. he's brought like a fat steak and veggies and rice and random shit to jacks and asked him to make him dinner. and oddly enough jack was willing to do it. toby continued to do that stuff. jack didnt know about tobys CIPA for a while and was baffled when this white boy from rural colorado could actually handle the spice anytime jack made south asian food LOL.. ("how much spice do you want" "i dont care make it as spicy as you like" "toby are you sure of this" "yeah i can take it").

of the 3, toby is the least close to ben. mostly bc ben is best fucking friends w jeff and toby doesnt like jeff very much(who does?). plus toby figured ben was like a kid and wasnt exactly crazy about being besties with a 12 yr old. But then ben played some video games with him. ben doesnt really Act like an. ipad fortnite tiktok middle shcool type of kid so toby was like Oh he's cool i guess.!

they dont have much in common at all tbh, didnt have similar childhoods and toby didnt play many video games growing up. BUT toby finds so much joy in just having a fucking boyish childish fun stupid relationship where he could play video games and talk shit and eat like crap with yk. they have a very brotherly friendship and it's kinda weird for toby being on the big sibling side of something, but he's fond of it. they get into petty arguments about stupid shit, and went a while without talking bc toby punched jeff and jeff was bitching like 'uumm dont hang out with that prick' and ben was like lmfao ok. toby didnt even realize ben wasnt talking to him tho. . I think he’d have a better time as a leader in that cast Thh never outcasts anyone in the way the other games do Me: Oh yeah, he would be still able to antagonize a few people in thh and keep his shtick, it just would not escalate like in v3, because they have more integrity (low bar) and can be more normal about disliking someone. Sdr2 gang would be just not phased by this clown, they'd sense he's one of them (freaks) Ves: he'd fare better even in udg i think v3 is a uniquely unhinged cast Clown: Yeah!! This combined with the fact that hajime is just the type of person to push pass any frustration and think about what they can do (asking nagito for help when he needs it), akane being suprisingly good at reading people (like fuyuhiko), and even Hiyoko with her not being shy on putting out there that she has a grudge and doubts. For ouma in THH tho, what would his relationship with kirgiri be like? Like kirgiri he is sticking his nose everywhere. I could see him finding out that sakura is hiding something, and begin to needle her about it. Offhand comments here and there. And sakura is smart, and more than that she isnt rash, she'd confront him about it in private almost immediately. And she wouldn't try to kill him. Maybe she would tell him or maybe not but she isn't violent with him and she doesn't fit his view of a murderer. DOUBTS.

OH BOY THAT IS. A QUESTION IN A HALF

I'll start off by giving my opinion on all the finalists of each season!

TDI: Honestly, i wouldn't change it. Both Gwen and Owen are pretty relevant characters, they're fun as the finalists and it makes sense they'd make it that far tbh. I wouldn't swap them out for anyone else this season outside of maybe Leshawna if her elimination wasn't so cheap? That or change it to be like "oh yeah we should make them stay in this nice resort instead of that shitty summer camp" as motivation for nominating someone during Haute-Campture. Idk. Id be more in favor of finalist Leshawna if Fresh TV, you know, gave her more relevance outside of being Gwen's bestie towards the end? And just gave her character depth? Or an arc on her own? But she's the only other candidate in my eyes

TDA: I'VE SAID THIS BEFORE AND I'LL SAY IT AGAIN: THE FINALISTS SHOULD'VE BEEN LINDSAY AND HAROLD. why was Duncan a finalist. Literally why. What does he do that's interesting enough to justify keeping him for the ENTIRE SEASON. If you wanted to do the Courtney list plotthread, just introduce it earlier on in the season and kick Duncan then! Or better yet, make one of the early rejoins be Courtney instead and have Duncan get eliminated pre-merge and Izzy come back post-merge! Im less against finalist Beth, but her character's plotlines aren't compelling to me at all this season :/

Lindsay on the other hand has a full character arc this season of coming into her own and trying her hand at leadership, has a rivalry with Courtney, and she still keeps her character throughout! And honestly i just think Harold's an entertaining character and him making it further than Duncan for at least one season would've been great!

TDWT: As the season is written? I wouldn't change the finalists at all. Heather and Alejandro are the most important characters of the season outside of the Love Triangle and Cody + Sierra and if you want my opinion, none of them should've been finalists. Now, if you do rewrite the season, i'd say Courtney (or even Eva if you make her rejoin mid season) deserved at least to reach the final three. Don't have much to say here.

ROTI: JO. OMG JO. JO SHOULD'VE BEEN A FINALIST. Again, i've made a post about this earlier (which i CANNOT FIND. WHY) But Jo should've been a finalist! They didn't need to give Lightning a vilain arc in the last two episodes just because! Im not super against Cameron being a finalist, but i don't like Lightning being one. Granted you could argue for different characters making for good finalists if you're going to rewrite the entire season (Anne Maria maybe? Or Zoey)

TDAS: Oh boy, TDAS. Sweet, sweet TDAS. Listen. Listen. In an alternate universe where Total Drama is a good show, Mike and Zoey could be good finalists. Unfortunately for them there is a large, looming Courtney-shaped shadow over that idea, made even worse by how both Zoey and Mike were used throughout the season.

Yeah if you couldn't tell by now, Courtney 101% SHOULD have been a finalist! TDAS should've been her season! It's the only season where she makes it past Duncan! She's a strong competitor, a compeling character, she's been put through shit the entire series, hell she could have interesting interactions with all the cast members! But no, Sundae Muddy Sunday happened instead.

As for possible finalists? Lindsay. And Jo. Yeah look if they're not gonna be finalists in earlier seasons you may as well make them finalists here. You could still make an argument for Zoey if the season were rewritten, but otherwise yeah this is probably the worst season for canon finalists :(

TDPI: Honestly with the direction they took, im... fine, with Sky and Shawn being the finalists. They're relevant characters, they have the more important arcs and outside of Scarlett and Jasmine, some of the most competent characters, enough to get here.

I'll take this as an opportunity to say i haven't landed yet on finalists for my PI rewrite? I know for a fact i want Sammy to be one, but im unsure about the other. All i know is that i don't think it'll be Shawn or Sky.

TD2023 S1: Nothing wrong with Bowie and Priya as finalists i'll be real! Priya might be a bit predictable, but it opened up alot of avenues for different things to be explored within her character (that the show never took rip), and she honestly deserved to get far for this cast's first season. As for Bowie, he's pretty relevant all throughout the season and seeing a more antagonistic character make it to final two is really nice to see! No complaints!

TD2023 S2: ALL OF THE COMPLAINTS! ALL OF THEM! The final 3 kind of sucks this season because every option has at least one gapping flaw in it due to the writing over the season: Wayne is barely a character for half the season and only gets interesting moments before the finale, Caleb has the most dragged out and annoying romance subplot in all of TD (not just because it was boring and artificial but because it dragged down and arguably ruined one of the most interestin characters of it's cast) and Julia's just magically gotten amazing at everything, INCLUDING playing the game because these teenagers just keep! beliving her! and telling her things! for some reason! Urghhh

If i had to rewrite the season entirely i'd have an MK vs Raj final 2. You'd get the antag/vilain rep for a finalist position, and hopefully a more interesting character than Wayne (fuck you Raj's more interesting of the two by default.) Maybe Scary Girl could be a 3rd curveball option. Nichelle or Axel if they were given actual arcs. And characters. Whatever.

Sorry for ending this post on such a sour note! i just really don't like reboot season 2 everytime i think about anything outside of the Finale or Mkulia!

workout buddies

I built a little library in the attic of wolfsbane manor as a wedding present for Morgyn. They returned to their wholesome dynamic after getting married, and all has been well.

I stepped away from the Vatore household for like 5 minutes to check on the retired sages (Tess is now besties with the Grim Reaper after hanging out with him at the wedding - it's my favorite) and when I came back to Forgotten Hollow they'd adopted a cat. Welcome to the family, Hilda - she is a playful, cautious, glutton. She is very much Lilith's cat.

Lilith holds regular vampire club meetings at the manor. Morgyn actually hasn't been attacked before (tho Vlad bit Emilia at least once when I had both magic club and vampire club going on at the manor) but when Elle stumbled across the duplicate they'd summoned to clean up after all those messy vampires, she got a bit thirsty.

I felt kinda weird about that, given the origin of vampires. I wasn't sure if Caleb would be able to stop her, but given that he was standing right there, I figured he should try to intervene. He commanded her to leave. They're both grand masters so that was a bit of a gamble, but it worked!

I'm not sure exactly what happened, but Lilith managed to develop a somewhat positive relationship with Kristopher when I wasn't looking (he shows up at a lot of Morgyn's events). Given that they are both extremely buff, I had the brilliant idea to start an occult workout club. Rory, Kristopher, and Lilith are all pretty evenly matched physically so it seemed like a potentially fun idea.

It's called "We Aren't Friends," it meets at the Moonwood Mill library, and I invited a bunch of buff werewolves, Elle (in case Lilith needed someone to spar with) and Vlad.

regular football practice was great. Lilith and Rory actually ended up with a positive relationship, so I decided to up the difficulty.

Difficult football practice turned out to be a mistake, first with Rory and later with Kristopher. While the wolves were able to catch all of Lilith's throws, she got hit in the head every time. I stopped practice before their relationship dropped back into the red.

Eventually, the group made their way into the library gym, with Rory literally walking all over Kristopher.

For shame, Rory. Even Vlad's getting swol and you're just on your phone.

Watching Vlad flail at the punching bag with Kristopher and Rory in literal beast mode made me so happy :D And gotta love the vampire punching bag when there are 3 vampires in the room Rory could be punching instead.

When Vlad's noodle arms got tired, he went over to bother the alphas, possibly to remind Rory about how she promised to fuck him up if ever they met, possibly to throw a yo mama joke at Kristopher. Who can say.

this looks familiar... don't worry rory, that's just his vampire idling animation face, he's not attacking.

Caleb is not much of one for the heavy exercise, but he, Morgyn, and the cat came along as well. Morgyn loves libraries! Caleb took the opportunity to catch up with Lily. things are getting better! possibly because she doesn't recognize this gentle soul...

Lily seemed to be kinda tired by that point, and eventually she left the gym to hang out with Caleb and Morgyn in the books part of the library. For someone who was just in a room with Vlad Straud, she seems awful scared off that little kitty.

The club ended up being less dramatic than I'd expected. Everyone behaved, even Vlad. And while Caleb/Lily and Lilith/Rory aren't quite friends, a few days later I checked neighborhood stories...

YEAH. Tbh that's more surprising than if they'd just fought and sniped like I expected. Rory can't get along with Kristopher, but apparently Vlad is ok. Maybe they can beat Greg up together idk

Would they ever have a threesome? The SHORT answer to this is probably not. I think they're both a little too psycho possessive of each other to actually allow someone to enter their dynamic unless it was in a more permanent capacity (read: polyamory vs just a threesome)

The LONG answer, while still probably not, is that there would probably be like...the right time, the right place, the right person could MAYBE make it work.

Now i was in the middle of writing a very long answer on why Lando would probably prefer the other person in the threesome took on a more submissive role, however, the more I wrote about it the more I was like...honestly, he likely wouldn't care about dynamic. I think he'd like to see Oscar whimpering because of him AND another partner domming him and topping him...and that's...hmmm yeah now I'm thinking thoughts.

Anyhow, if they did have a threesome, likely their third wouldn't be allowed to partake in penetrative sex with Oscar, but they'd likely be okay to fool around with other things.

As for whom...well...that's just it, isn't it? Oscar's always found Charles incredibly attractive, and probably thirsts after him still (he definitely followed Charles on instagram for the thirst traps). But Lando and Charles aren't....besties, that's for certain, so I think that this could end up being a little rancid in a bad way. (Charles tries to prove he can treat Oscar better, and Lando tries to prove he can't, and Oscar just feels kinda like a toy but not in the fun way in a shitty way where he doesn't feel like he has agency)

Max Verstappen would be an option, Lando trusts him, Oscar trusts him, but I feel like there would be some butting heads.

Possibly Logan Sargeant in that longing, long term best friend crush that you never made a move on, and now your best friend has a hot dom boyfriend that made it happen kind of way. It would probably be the least rancid of the three above, and honestly probably a little sweet.

AS FOR DENIAL....If you're referring to how long Lando's gone without letting Oscar come, as mentioned in "We Can Do This Shit Forever if it's Lust, Yeah," Lando threatens not to let Oscar come until he wins his next race. Which...canonically is Baku. Now, I'm a little nicer than Lando after the Belgian GP. Likely at some point during the current fic I'm working on "I'm So Lonely and You're the Only One That Knows Me," he does get Oscar off (they get a little...out of control when they start their kink negotiation stuff and Oscar drops into subspace and Lando can't help himself but make Oscar come), and THEN it's at Baku. So currently...just shy of like...6-ish weeks, roughly, is the longest Lando's denied him. NOW I swear y'all are looking for spoilers about [redacted][redacted] which YOU AREN'T GETTING YET.

anyway. odysseus used to be my favorite character (now the spot is taken by eurylochus (i don't love ody any less now, i just love eurylochus more)), i am always drawn to characters who go through absolute hell while having enough drive to persevere, because they have something worth surviving for.

polites... i feel like i don't know enough about him. how did he manage to bring all of that optimism through 10 years of war? or did he develop it during/after the war as a way to cope? how much of it is a front he puts up for the sake of others? does he have anybody waiting for him at home? what flaws, shortcomings does he have? is he naive or is he wise? is he both? i just don't know, there was so little time to get to know him.

now, eurylochus. i didn't think much of him at the start, just like probably a lot of us, but then i started warming up to him, even before thunder saga put him in such a spotlight. there's just something about him being the one who cares for the crew. the voice of the crew. i like the sound of it.

before thunder saga came out i had this vision for the underworld animatic, i wanted to use chorus time to show eurylochus going around the ship trying to keep the crew from total despair, comforting those who are crying, trying to ground those who are having the worst visions. but now i don't think he'd be in the condition to do that, with his own baggage of opening the bag and seeing everyone who died because of it? yeeeaah, he's the one who needed comfort during that underworld trip.

also, i was adamant that he didn't open the bag. i was just so sure it would be out of character for him! cautious pessimistic eurylochus? messing with a dangerous magic object? why on earth would he do that!! (i still don't completely understand why he did that tbh, but i guess the growing mistrust from luck runs out played a role there)

and of course, thunder saga has me obsessed with the guy. it's the tragedy of it all. the one thing he found purpose in - protecting the crew - and they're all dead now. don't even get me started on him having his own Just a Man moment. devastating. so of course i play mutiny on repeat.

headcanons? eury aro. (disclaimer, i know very little of his mythological background outside of the odyssey, and frankly do not care) i think he and ctimene are in an aromantic version of lavender marriage. they're good friends, and they make the home life work, and they care for each other a whole lot, but also they both know they'd be fine on their own. ctimene has a good relationship with eurylochus' side of the family, and he knows they will take care of her in times of need.

that's why returning home as soon as possible is not that high on his priority list, especially when it comes to preserving lives. he knows that every single man in their army has someone waiting for them at home, and each life lost means many broken hearts. so yeah, he's not very keen on taking risks.

as opposed to odysseus, who knows he's on a ticking clock. the prophecy was vague, but it's enough to put together the situation: empty throne, widowed queen, only heir too young to do anything. of course he's in a rush.

my other headcanon is that as a kid, eurylochus had his growth spurt relatively late, and for most of their childhood he was shorter and scrawnier than both odysseus and polites :D

1) i kinda hate the fanfics where the daggers learn that jake has an s/o and they're like "oh they're probably like XYZ perceived negative ideas/traits" but then his s/o is the opposite of jake/what they were expecting.

Oh dear god anon that's so many to rank and they also rapidly slide up and down the scale depending on the timeline (most of them end up besties cuz hawk and I love that sweet sweet reconciliation) but here we go. Early Daydreams - One-sided, Macaque would murder Wukong but it's not returned.

Early Wasteland - They’re not actively fighting physically but...the verbal abuse....is...is rough.

Early Core - tbh hardly counts because we don't spend much time with it. Basically canon hostility levels but it doesn't last long after the AU diverges, they reconcile pretty early.

Snapped - Kinda neither? Wukong doesn't know Mac exists and Mac avoids Wukong? Idk it's some secret third thing that doesn't really fit on this scale but it's here anyways.

Late Sanctuary - some things are....sorta settled? They're not at each other's throats but it's still a lil strained.

Late Wasteland - It's...something. They're never at each other's throats but it's tense for the most part. Not about to break out into a fight but it's more just...they don't AVOID each other but circumstances make things hard.

Ghost - I wouldn't use the word besties but they're close. It's more protective than friends?

Late Hunter - They're the friends that curse and swear and yell insults at each other constantly but like in a /fond kind of way you know the ones

Late Daydreams - also super close, but I wouldn't call them ride or die. TBH once you're down here on the list they're all super close and the rankings get less and less meaningful cuz Hawk and I just love them being close ahjgfbgf.

Tiny Man - Similar to ghost but a little bit more because both parties are like Fully There. More protective and a little bit parent-child and it's a lot of things but yeah they're close.

Godslayer - Not besties but a little more parent/child but also not. Red would do anything to keep MK safe because he won't let himself fail again.

Long Shadows (Lotus's, less shared) - Almost on a core level of codependence, they never had a huge fallout so they've had a long time to be close.

Late Core - literally cannot be any closer, they would literally do anything before they'd lose the other. And I mean literally as in the dictionary definition.
