literally got referred for getting on T last June. tomorrow is June 1 and I am still trying to get on a form that works for me because insurance is a pain the the ass when you’re allergic to multiple forms of T but all your doctors are good just trialing them all and there’s no medical reason not to (and there’s even medical reasons to do it because the baseline hormone imbalance sucks). Anyway this is just a moment of frustration. My regular doctor is on leave and the doctor covering for them is also on leave and the only other one who can prescribe it has been swamped for weeks and someone has to prescribe it so it can get denied so the insurance authorization process can even start. Ugh. Very frustrated right now.

i still think a lot about how technically, it's implied Anubis and Walt started dating each other before they asked out Sadie, and if Sadie had said she wasn't interested they would have gone "Entirely fair have a nice day" and proceed to just go continue to date each other.

Cause like, that was the entire thing. They decided that themselves. That things would work best if they were together (as in both physically sharing a body and also relationship-wise). The "asking Sadie about it" part was secondary. If she had said no, they would have stayed together, because among other things Walt would kind of die if they didn't. Walt and Anubis are technically the first gay couple in the Riordanverse. AND they're in a polyamorous relationship with Sadie. Why does no one talk about them ever.

he's a professional personal space invader at this point— not like he realizes he's always sort of doing it around you. his shoulder presses into yours, blue eyes peering at the pages of your book.

it looks... well, interesting would be the nice description. the honest description in his eyes? that would be: long and tedious to read.

he wonders why you enjoy things like philosophy. or how things like this can get you on passionate (and occasionally very angry) spiels. he assumes it's the time period difference. an information era— big books, long rants, heated debates. your type of fun.

not like michael minds all that much. he personally loves to talk— so even if you don't really have the same topics floating around in your brain space, he totally gets it.

"kant." you reply simply, shifting a little to get some space away from the blond currently breathing down your neck as you try to enjoy what was supposed to be your free time.

he pauses, brow furrowing. for a moment, you perk up at his expression. he's thinking. hard. maybe he's familiar with it. or maybe he has an opinion on kant's theories—

keep thinking how interesting it would've been if instead of a vague acknowledgement of peggy letting hydra into shield they would've actually committed to it and revealed she had been helping them the entire time, maybe even that she had been a double agent during the war and nobody finding out till decades later in catws like i would at least love to see this in fic bc how horrifed would steve be not bc she was the "love of his life" but because he did to an extent know her and trust that they were on the same side so to find out otherwise would make the discovery that he hadn't in fact stopped hydra as he believed even more painful

Just wrote 10+ pages to finish my Mayhem Twins, Strangers to Siblings, fake dating/couples counseling fic that has expanded into them being involved in so many shenanigans behind the scenes and has Root, Harold, and Cole building The Machine together in the background!

Well, navigating insurance policies and pharmacy stocking issues sure is challenging! The next step for us is to allergy test for name brand Androgel after allergies to testosterone cypionate and generic Testim gel (and now knowing other injectable forms aren’t a good option because of allergies/our presentation of connective tissue problems).

If we can’t do Androgel, that leaves oral testosterone or patches. If none of those work, we’ll be working with our naturopath on an herbalist approach to medical transition (pending sensitivity testing for make herbal tonics among other things because we have a highly sensitive system). Updates to come!
