I felt a little pent up from yesterday's... inconveniences so I decided to hunt for my breakfast rather than have y/n prepare it. she reluctantly agreed since it gave her some free time to enjoy the morning. I have never seen her eat a proper breakfast but I'm sure she is eating something with all that energy she has to clean. I tried to ignore the yelling and loud blast I heard from downstairs by turning up the music on my radio.

humming to the music and enjoying the savory taste of fresh venison, I was rudely interrupted when a certain someone burst through my door "Alastor!!" vaggie said with irritation in her tone "Do you mind, I'm in the middle of breakfast" she rolls her eyes and steps aside revealing 5 little eggs.

"pentiouses eggs are all over the place and I need you to get rid of them!" I toss my utensils aside and conjure my radio staff "Well in that case I would be delighted to" she glares at me "Humanly!!" "hmm well that's a lot less fun~ but I suppose I can take care of that on my outing today" I pass by her in the hallway, the little egg things following me around. in the hallway, I ran into y/n who was carrying back her freshly dried laundry and just happened to glance behind me.

she stops with a little smile on her face "Well if it isn't you cute little things" she says bending down to pat one of the eggs on the top of their shell. they all surround her and compliment her while she giggles, her smile widening each time. I have noticed more and more that she has been happier here at the hotel, mingling with the strange bunch of sinners. I haven't seen her smile like that in almost 10 years, it almost makes me.... "where are you taking them?" she says pulling me out of my thoughts.

"Apparently they have been quite the trouble makers and I have been asked to get rid of them" and that once bright smile then turns into a small frown "Do they have to goo?" she whines and for a moment there's something about her tone of voice, her frown and her eyes that makes my chest tighten. I have never hesitated when getting rid of someone or something, especially if it was necessary but right this moment... I might have to reconsider.

"I'm afraid so my dear" I say trying to push down that feeling and focus on the fact I'm about to be late for a meeting. "the overlords have been called out to a meeting and I will not return until very late so please don't worry about preparing dinner" she gives me an understanding nod before giving the little eggs a hug "goodbye little egg boys..." and standing to walk off to her room.

I continue on downstairs and out the door, walking the streets of hell with 5 eggs. they kept asking me question after question and I started to feel less guilty about getting rid of them "What does y/n see in you... things" I say while they just look at me curiously. there lucky I only have a craving for venison and coffee otherwise, I would have had them scrambled for breakfast.

just around the block of Carmilla's company building a black shadow that looks all too familiar stops me in my tracks "Halt Alastor!!" I stop and a ting of excitement pools through me "Who is that boss? Want me to ruff him up for ya!" one of the little egg boys spat. I turned tapping him on the head with my radio staff "Follow in silence if you value your shell.." I once again turned my attention to the tall demon in front of me.

"greetings zestial~" Zestial is the oldest overlord, he and I are fairly acquainted to an extent. we both make small talk while walking towards the elevator of the building, the little egg boys following not far behind before I take my staff blocking them from entering the elevator with us "No no I have a very important task for you, guard the front and wait for my return~" "you got it, boss!"

Zestial and I greet the other overlords before entering the board room, setting myself next to dear Rosie. Carmilla walks in shortly after, her steel heels clanking with every step and her daughters at her side "Welcome hell's sovereign overlords, I have invited you all here because you represent the controlling powers of our city. together you own millions of souls, souls at risk with the new extermination schedule" She continues on before noticing Zestial who took a seat next to her, a cup of tea conjured in his hand "Zestial always good to see you, my friend" "enchanted as always Carmilla~"

she then turns towards me with a somewhat shocked expression "Alastor?" "yes, I know I've been absent some time. I'm sure you've all been wondering" "Not really but welcome back in any case..." The nerve she had but, I let it slide. She talks about the amount of demons that got killed this year before the door slams open and the last person I was hoping to see walks in.

"nice of you to join us velvet, will your colleagues be joining us?..." I hope not "No they have better shit to do!" she scowls and moves on "So, we need to discuss-" she raises her hand "Yes velvet.." "On the subject of discussion-" she says standing on the table and tossing an exorcist's head "Oh tasty~" I say while inspecting the head, I found it rather strange that angels bleed literal liquid gold but knowing that the hell-born bleed black I'm not to surprised.

they continue to chat on about things that I find irrelevant before Carmilla and Velvet start arguing about going to war with heaven. It's a reckless decision, one that I wouldn't want to take part in considering that I don't have much of an issue with the exterminations. but just as quickly as the meeting started it ended "Well that was a productive meeting!"

everyone exits the boardroom before I spot Zestial walking away with Carmilla. I look around and spot one little egg that has followed us inside "Hay you little egg creature, I have a job for you. follow them!" and with that I head back outside to the front.

The rest of the eggs are about the area, rummaging through trash and whatnot. I wonder how I will get rid of these things, they don't seem as harmful as vaggie says they are.

eventually, the little egg comes back out of the elevator "Sooo, what did you hear?" he started rambling on before I caught something that I heard to be useful "What was that last part?" "she killed the a-angel..." Carmilla Carmine killed an exorcist. that's quite useful even if I don't have a use for it but perhaps in the future. "keep this between us, why don't you!?" "you got it, boss!!" and with that, we make our way back to the hotel.

I walk through the doors of the hotel with the 5 little eggs behind me "Alastor!" vaggie says from atop the stairs "Failed to get rid of the eggs I see?" "Yes well, the little monsters proved to be rather useful~" and perhaps for another reason, speaking of... "y/n walks over seeing the 5 eggs in one piece "your back and- you didn't get rid of them!"

she picks one up and holds it close, her smile returning. that feeling that I had returned... that chest aching, fuzzy warm feeling. maybe I'm just exaggerating, am I sick?... no demons cant get sick were already dead...

"Alastor?" she says in her sweet soft voice, I meet her gaze and she looks at me with a sense of worry, but why. "yes my dear?" "Are you alright, You're spacing out" She says setting the little egg creature to run off with Pentious before stepping closer to me "I'm.. alright, don't worry about me. why don't you head off to bed you look a bit tired"

her smile falters slightly "Alright..." she says before walking upstairs. whatever this feeling is I need to kill it, it's preventing me from thinking straight. maybe I should see Rosie sometime this week...

FLORENCE, Italy – As Steven Stokey-Daley’s fall show in Florence during Pitti Uomo wrapped, the British designer, the 2022 recipient of the LVMH Prize for Young Designers, revealed longtime fan Harry Styles is acquiring a minority stake in the company.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Harry and I have a shared vision for the future of S.S. Daley and we look forward to this new chapter together as we focus on brand longevity and scaling the business into a modern British heritage house,” the designer, 26, said.

The pair was introduced by Styles’ stylist Harry Lambert, who masterminded the wardrobe for the artist’s “Golden” music video, outfitting him in Stokey-Daley’s graduate collection.

The investment is geared at building S.S. Daley’s direct-to-consumer business and forge ahead with plans for a “sustainable and long-term expansion,” the company said in a statement.

After graduating from the University of Westminster, Stokey-Daley made his London Fashion Week debut in September 2021 supported by the National Youth Theatre artistic director Paul Roseby, staging a four-part performance by members of the theater, riffing on British tailoring and tackling such topics as social class, inequality, school life, sexual awakening and homosexuality.

That same year, the S.S. Daley designer was among the recipients of the British Fashion Council’s Newgen initiative and was awarded again by the British fashion governing body the following year, with the BFC Foundation Awards.

The designer’s gender-fluid take on the uniforms of the British upper classes, such as wide-leg trousers, argyle-knit wool vests and embroidered shirts, appeals to a Gen-Z sensibility, and a growing female customer base. The brand is currently stocked in a handful of retailers, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Dover Street Market, Matchesfashion, Bergdorf Goodman, 10 Corso Como Seoul and I.T Store.

Attending the S.S. Daley show in Florence, Sir Paul Smith praised Stokey-Daley and said: “I think that the ideal thing [for him] would be to try and work in parallel with a commercial company that help him develop as a commercial designer, as well as creative designer. And of course, that’s what everybody dreams of. He has the balance between commerciality and creativity.”

“I think [his designs] might have had similarities in my earlier [career]… We are in 60-something countries now. So you have to be a lot more aware of commerciality and things that work for the shops especially right now because the business and around the world is so difficult for people,” Smith added.

Styles’ investment falls in line with a growing number of celebrities becoming brand shareholders. They include, among others, Oprah Winfrey and Reese Witherspoon who invested in Spanx; Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas in skiwear maker Perfect Moment; Beyoncé, Jessica Alba and Rihanna in French accessories firm Destree; Mila Kunis, Cameron Diaz and Gabrielle Union in Autumn Adeigbo, and Mark Wahlberg in Italian sneaker brand P448.

Granger

so granger is the main character of the indie game "NeverHome" Chapter one, which is only $1 on Steam, is called NeverHome: Hall of Apathy. if ur a fan of young protags being put in RPG maker horror games, then this is the game for you!! so granger is just that… she wakes up to find herself in a strange, hostile world. she, along with the friends she makes, must solve the various puzzles before them while creatures are out to kill them… and along the way they can uncover the secrets of these never ending halls… her dynamics with the cast is also super fun… each character gets their moment or moments with granger. and what's so cute is that there's unique art for each pair that highlights the fact you cant get through these halls alone!! she also has her own theme song!! here!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_vwtmIj5cw it's called cyclical tragedy AND HERE IS AN ANALYSIS OF THE THEME!! MUSIC THEORY!!! written by my good friend @HIEMIOLA "cyclical tragedy" embodies the protagonist, granger, through the music theory behind the track and ties itself back into the main track as well. to begin with an overview of the track, the key is D minor and hte time signature is 3/4. the piece begins with a broken minor third starting from the tonic. that is, it begins on the main note and moves along the main chord, D to F. the next set of notes are C to E, which is shifted down a step. the phrase repeats again, this time D to F, then G to E, which is an inverse movement from the original sequence. even in this first part, we could tell that the protagonist begins from square 1 with a simple pattern, then tries it again when it works. however, the inverse breaks that expectation of repetition, thus showing the diverse variations of solutions she comes up with using just the tools she has (the two notes moving in thirds). just like the game, she is given a handful of objects as well as a knife to defend herself and solve the mysteries of the world she exists in. with her creative uses of the items given to her, she continues on her way through the plot. we will keep moving. the melody begins. true to the title of the track, the melody cycles around the same beginning note, D, that she always returns to at her square 1. this is a nod to the save states she is allowed to keep to make sure that we the players don't lose the game, but it also references the health bar that appears as a circle around her avatar. the melody, mapped out, is also moving in an up-down wave movement across the sheet music. granger is creative with the knife she has and the quest items she obtains throughout the story, but she is not entirely reckless. rather, she knows when it is time to return to the safe rooms to rest. to time her returns requires skill because she must run to cover without being caught by varying her path so the enemies don't corner her as she tries to return to the room. most of the time, she is successful, shown through the consistent return to the beginning note. let's keep going. i would like to turn your attention to the main theme briefly. in the bass notes, you can hear arpeggios and outlined chords. this makes up the bulk of the accompaniment in the main game theme. the third variation of granger's theme also has arpeggiated chords in the accompaniment while the melody features broken chords. at this stage, the pattern switches to eigth notes instead of the quarter notes at first. with greater movement and heightened senses, she runs throughout world and befriends other people, thus interacting further with the environment. while she isn't exactly someone we would call open, she is respectful to the people she first meets and has no problems with asking them for help when she needs it. because of her openness to working together, she speeds up her progress by asking for aid at obstacles that would be too difficult for her to overcome on her own, such as asking a teammate to break things, move things, or reach into smaller holes. fusing the main theme elements with her own theme marks this step as the inciting incident that sets her on the path to escape from this world. we'll continue.

continuing the same part, we hear some secondary fifths. i'm not entirely sure if this is what you call it, but it is a nod to the parallel key, D major. depending on what theory class you take, this could also be considered the other half of the key. i dont know how else to describe it, but i digress. these are glimpses to different dialogue options she could take, glimpses to a different key or a different ending. because this game only has one chapter ending so far, we are unsure of what other paths granger will end up in; we only know that there are certainly other endings she will experience, only to begin the cycle again when the save state is loaded for players to reach another ending. both A major and G major are chords that signify different choices that may lead her elsewhere only for her to return back to the tonic or main note, D. despite this, she keeps going, as will we.

at the midpoint of the track, we see a quick shift in patterns. instead of upward leaps in the notes, the melody falls in stepwise motion. true to the plot, this is another turning point of the game when she is forced to make a choice: continue or stop. after facing the spoiler event, her once determined personality is challenged as she struggles to keep herself and her team together. despite being the headstrong protagonist who spearheaded solutions, even now she finds herself doubting and taking smaller steps, smaller risks.

even after all of this, she rises to the challenge as the melody returns to its beginning sequence. true to a protagonist she gets up again despite the events that transpired and keeps her team moving in their lowest points. the thirds return as she finds more objects to solve more puzzles to open more rooms to save more friends. this repeating part of the track only solidifies her resolve as the piece ends with a broken chord in the main key, her key, of D minor. despite everything that transpired, she stayed true to herself."

the game is also so, so charming with the art, music, and story made by the same person… its so clearly loved and full of passion!! i love listening to the game's ost on occassion!! since it's all on youtube!

Beep

The constant beeping of my alarm begins waking me up and as I roll over to hit the snooze button when I suddenly hear the pattering of footsteps and then a small “oof” of a body launching themselves in the air and landing directly on me.

“Ouch!” I call out and the mass now on top of me dissolves into a fit of giggles. 

“Mom!!! wake up!!! Ashley’s mom will be here soon!” Erin is full of energy today. Her friend Ashley’s mom is taking her and some of her friends to Six Flags for the day to celebrate the end of the school year. I roll my comforter up to cover Erin up in a burrito of blankets and she starts to laugh even harder. “Mom! Let me out!” Erin’s voice squeaks out between laughs. 

“Okay, okay. Be free little one,” I tell her while unwrapping the blankets covering her. I see her face poke out the top and lean down to cover it in kisses. “Oh, I love you so much!! My little baby!! I can’t believe you just finished third grade! Stop growing please !” She laughs and wiggles out of the bed. “Moooom! Please get up, I need to eat breakfast.”

We travel downstairs into the kitchen together and I turn on the coffee maker while gathering the supplies needed to make breakfast. I start making pancakes and soon we hear clunking around coming from the other room. “Do I smell pancakes!?” Haylie calls out from behind her door. Erin runs to the other side “Auntie Hales come to eat breakfast with me!” she calls out and the door swings open surprising Erin. She jumps slightly but recovers as soon as Hailey picks her up and swings her around the hallway toward the kitchen where I’m flipping the last pancake onto the large serving plate. “Pancakes and bacon! I hope you’re hungry,” I call out and pour two cups of coffee and a glass of orange juice for Erin. “I’m starving! Thanks, Mom” Erin says. “Yeah, thanks, Mom!” Haylie jokes. 

We didn’t mean to stay at Haylie’s this long but every time I considered moving Haylie wouldn’t hear it. She loves having us here and we love being here and after a while, we really felt like a little family. Speaking of families, my brother is coming to visit soon. Kyle and Maggie are both coming. Together. 

After I left they became closer and eventually fell in love. I didn’t know how long it would last but after Kyle enlisted in the Marine Corps they got even closer. When he was stationed in Okinawa in a surprise to us all they secretly eloped so they could live off base together. They are still together now and happier than ever. They have a five-year-old girl, Natasha, who Erin loves so much. The girls are so sweet and we love any chance we can get them together. They’re coming to visit next week for a week and I’m really excited. 

A lot has changed in the last ten years. Kyle and I have grown to be incredibly close. I think us both becoming parents changed a lot. Unfortunately, our Mom never recovered from her alcoholism and passed a few years after Erin was born. She met Erin a few times but I was very protective, especially in those first few years of her life and I didn’t want her seeing my mom when she was at her worst. Our Dad lives in Austin now, he wanted to be close to me and his grandchild after our Mom died, and at first I was really hesitant, but over the years a lot has changed. Our relationship is pretty good now and Erin loves her grandpa so much, he likes taking her to the library and the park on the weekends, or to get ice cream after school.  

We finish up our breakfast and help Erin get ready for her day trip with her friends. We pack her a small bag since they’ll be having a sleepover after their day at the amusement park. Erin is running around her room trying to decide which stuffed animal she wants to take, she’s deep in thought trying to choose between her stuffed giraffe and her frog build-a-bear we made a few years ago for her birthday. “Froggy! I choose you!” she declares and for a moment everything about her is Noah.

Noah. I never heard from him after I sent the letter. I thought about reaching out again but between life with a newborn and working on finishing my apprenticeship time just slipped away from me. Then she was getting bigger and I was getting settled into my new career as a tattoo artist and when I saw that he was in a new band that was really picking up, that same insecurity that Alex planted all those years ago came right back. her words echoing, “You’ll ruin his life you know? His whole career. He will throw it all away for you. Is that what you want?” I stopped trying, I stopped waiting and I have tried every day of Erin’s life to be everything she needs. When I listened to that first album I was amazed. By his talent, what he was creating for himself was exactly what he wanted. I cried so hard listening to it, I threw the CD in the box that was hiding in the back of my closet.

Ashley’s Mom picked up Erin about an hour later. “Have fun and be careful okay? Listen to Ashley’s Mom and I will call you before you go to bed tonight, she has my number if you need to call me at all okay?” I ask and my sassy daughter in her rush to leave is nodding and just saying “Yes, okay Mom, I will, Okay..Mom she’s here!! Can I go please??” she pleads and I laugh and give her a big hug, and kiss before walking her to the car outside.

Later when I’m getting ready for work I decide on a simple white tank with my faded loose-fit jeans that are covered in holes, but the most comfortable pair of pants I own. I throw on some light makeup and put my hair up in a loose bun. “Wow! How can you make a plain white tank look so hot?!” Haylie loves to hype me up so I give her a little spin and mock bow. “Thank you!” I say as I finish packing my bag and filling up my water bottle. I’m trying to only work a half day so I can do some emotional spending, if I can finish my appointments before getting any walk-ins, Target is all mine.

Waving goodbye I head out the door and hop into my car to head to work. I bought a new car when Erin was five and I love it so much, it’s perfect for us. A little Honda CRV in black. My books have been filling up lately and I was able to pay off the car early last spring which was an amazing feeling. I take off down the street and it’s a short drive to the shop only ten minutes, I turn on the radio and my usual station is playing. “Up next we have a song that’s picking up some traction on TikTok and normally we don’t care about that. But, this is a band I like so to celebrate their upcoming show in Austin, up next we have Bad Omens with Just Pretend” the DJ says and I audibly groan and hit the power button on the radio and just commit to the silent drive into work. It hasn’t been impossible to avoid his band but I try, everyone laughs at work when they come on a playlist. They all anticipate me calling out “Hey Siri” or “Okay Google,” “Alexa” followed by “Skip!” I think they all just assume I don’t like the band and I’m happy not to elaborate. 

I get to work and head to my station to get set up for my first appointment. It’s a repeat client and we are finishing up her sleeve tattoo with filler and some color. It doesn’t take very long and before I know It I’ve finished two more clients and it’s almost 2 pm. 

I continue to clean my station since my client left a half hour ago. My plans to cut out early and go shopping came to a  crashing halt when I heard the jingle of the door opening and four guys walked in, two of whom I hadn’t seen in about a decade. I knew they were in town but I mean, Austin is a huge city. They could have walked into any tattoo shop. But no, the man I’ve been avoiding, actively avoiding since he left me, alone, unknowingly pregnant and devastated is right there. Right in front of me, it’s like every feeling I worked through in therapy is rushed back to the surface.

He hasn’t seen me, too busy talking to Ryan at reception and I overhear “Yeah, I think Nat is available. She doesn’t have anyone on her books for the rest of the day” he says, looking down to check my logbook. “Hey Nat!” He calls to me and the four eyes follow, two in particular getting hit with immediate recognition. “Do you have time to fit these guys in? They say they’re just looking for some small line work?” I see his whole frame tense and his mouth opens slightly, almost in awe, "Natty?" we whispers.

I’m frozen, I’m speechless and our eyes are locked. I’m staring into the eyes of the man that I used to love, that’s the father of my child he doesn’t know. I have to speak. I have to say something. NATALIE! SPEAK ! SAY SOMETHING!  I scream to myself internally before I finally breathe out and manage to speak. I try to keep a calm face as I respond “Um, yeah sure. Just get them to fill out the paperwork and send them back.” I duck back down into my little station and try to calm my breathing. I look around and there are pictures of Erin everywhere, I move to quickly remove all of them from my workstation and pick up my phone to call Haylie

“911, this is an actual emergency and I’m freaking out!” I rush out in a harsh whisper “Noah is here. At the shop. With his band. And they want tattoos! WHAT THE FUCK!”

Yeah!!! I've had different game building softwares like rpg maker 2022 (or 2023? I forgor) and a couple visual novels! I've been wanting to make games for a long time and I've had different ideas for some more original concepts so this is a good way to introduce myself into game development!!

So I'm not really a playlist maker type person. Or a playlist-seeker-outer. (Seeker of playlists?) When I play music I just kind of stick whatever I'm in the mood for on shuffle. I've got a Plex server set up for my personal media - tv shows, movies, music - so I've got the music categorized by somewhat broad genres. That way I can just click a category and hit play + shuffle on it.

That said, I've contributed a little to the Heck Yeah Harrisco Playlist, so I do recommend that one. It's fun to listen to and does have a Harry/Cisco vibe to all the songs on it. I don't listen to it often, but I do check back in every so often to see what's new.

🕯️ ⇢ on a scale from 1 to 10, how much do you enjoy editing? why is that?

Depends on when the editing happens. And we'll call 5 a neutral point between hating this process and happily typing away.

Pre-posting a fic/chapter? - 8 or 9. The spelling grammar aspect is nit-picky, but I like that I can go back and fix a scene that isn't working, add stuff I forgot, or move things that work better at a different point in the story. I can change the tone of a scene if necessary or fix mistakes where a character did something twice when they should have only done it once, or they left but are still there.

But post editing? - 2 or 3. There's always another spelling/grammar issue to find, some which screw up the meaning of a sentence. Who approved this to post??? (Me, that's who, it's me, I'm at fault, whoopsie-daisy) And if I want to add something to the chapter that wasn't there or remove something that is there or... then it's difficult to let people who have already read it know there's been a fix. *sigh*

I never completely hate editing because the editing process always makes the fic better in the end. But my enjoyment (or lack thereof) of the process is definitely variable.

I don't have any recent/new story notes as such, but I do have a fic I've been working on today. I've been reviewing my Armageddon notes, trying to make progress on an Iris-centered fic there. And I've decided to skip over Iris' ill-fated adventure with Ryan (Wilder, not Choi) for now (I'm gonna write it, it's gonna be pretty awesome for Iris despite Eobard hitting the reset button on her) and move to the scene I've been really wanting to write for a while. Iris and Barry meeting at Jitters, Iris struggling to accept that her fiance - Eobard - is actually the bad guy here.

She knows it, but she hasn't accepted it quite yet.

For a moment she'd felt the timeline shifting around her like a choppy, angry river... and known the truth for herself.  And in the wake of that certainty, she'd agreed to meet Barry.  To hear what he had to say for himself and to learn what Eobard Thawne had stolen from her in his obsession with harming Barry. Now she was less certain.  Iris was engaged to Eobard.  She loved him.  She wanted to be married to him and spend her life with him.  But... there were things she was giving up to be Eobard's wife.  Including the possibility of children, something he adamantly didn't want.  Iris thought she was okay with that.

Seeing the vision of her children in the real timeline is hitting iris pretty hard. And thus also breaking through what amounts to Eobard brainwashing Iris.

🍬 ⇢ post an unpopular opinion about a popular fandom character

One of the reasons we like Leonard Snart so much - aside from Wentowrth Miller's stellar performance - is because we didn't really have much of him on the Flash. He was used sparingly and then snatched away by Legends before he could get utilized to his full extent. Which is something we all lament because his potential as a character was so vast...

But because the Flash writer's didn't really use him much, particularly after he died, they didn't get to screw him up and that was a good thing. We saw what they did with Savitar/The Future Flash arc. We saw how Eobard got flandarized all to hell by the end of the show. We saw Season 5 couldn't make up it's mind about who the main villain was. We saw how season 6 started off tightly plotted in the front half only to get lost in the weeds and do Iris a major disservice in the back half. We saw how poorly handled Cisco's send off was. We saw the three conflicting plots in a trenchcoat that was Armageddon... We saw the continual retconning of Hartley because they couldn't let go of The Sound and Fury.

As much as I wish we had more of Leonard Snart on the show... I think maybe having less meant his characterization dodged a major bullet. And I'm thus also extremely glad we have exactly what we got and no more too.

... I don't know if this is exactly an unpopular opinion, but it's definitely not something brought up a lot with all the musing on how awesome a Rogue's season would have been if the plot lead in for it hadn't been mishandled and dropped. Which is definitely a popular topic for Snart fans.

How This Works

If you’re interested in participating, please be sure to sign up before December 7th (12/7) 11:59 PM EST. You can access the sign-up here or by checking our discord. You MUST sign up with an email address you regularly check (this is how we’ll be contacting you throughout the exchange). 

We'll email you your assignment on December 10th (12/10). This will include your giftee’s URL, media preferences (art, fic, edits, or a combination of the three), prompt list, and what they’d like excluded from their gifts. We’ll ask you to reply to our email and confirm receipt of your assignment by December 17th (12/17). 

Get to creating! Our creation period will run from December 18th to January 14th (12/18-1/14).

Everyone will reveal themselves to their giftee and post their gifts to Tumblr between January 21st and January 31st (1/21-1/31). You are free to post your gift on any day during this time. Once you post, please fill out the form we provide you so we can track gifts. This is important as we'll be using this to decide who is in need of backup gifts.

General Rules

Please check your emails regularly. This is how we will send everyone updates on the exchange, and it is important that you be aware of them. 

Make sure to sign all correspondence with the Tumblr username/contact information you signed up with so that we know who you are. This includes asks and emails. If you are changing your contact information, please let us know as soon as possible.

If you find that you won’t be able to finish your gift on time or that you’d like to drop out in the middle of the exchange, please let us know IMMEDIATELY. 

Rules for NSFW Content

NSFW content can only be exchanged between participants if they are both 18+. NSFW content will not be accepted from minors and may not be gifted to minors. There are no exceptions. 

For writers: please tag your fics with appropriate warnings and ratings and be aware of your giftee’s preferences. Fics must be put under a cut or include a link that redirects to a separate fanfiction site (e.g. AO3, FFN, etc.) 

For artists: we recommend posting your art to a different platform that allows NSFW content (e.g. Twitter, DA, etc.) and include a link to that work in your Tumblr post. 

Guidelines for Artists

Your gift must be a completed work

Art must be developed to an acceptable standard. Rough work/sketches will not be accepted. You are of course more than welcome to include backgrounds, color, graphics, etc.

Traditional art is allowed, but they must be scanned/photographed in order to be shared digitally. 

Please be aware of the quality of your images. If you’re making digital art, please be mindful of your resolutions. If you’re making traditional art, we recommend scanning if possible before resorting to photographs so that your gift will not be blurry/low-quality. 

Guidelines for Writers

Pieces of writing should be at least 1500 words. There is no word maximum. 

One-shots must be able to stand alone. You are more than welcome to write a multi-chapter fic for your giftee. However, the first chapter must be completed, be a minimum of 1500 words, and must be posted during the posting period.

Your fics must be edited. Spelling, grammar, and continuity mistakes should be absent from your fics. If you need a beta, please request one on the discord. 

Guidelines for Editors and Gif Makers

Your gift must be a completed work. 

Gifsets, graphics, manipulations, and any other form of edits are welcome. 

You must include at least 4 gifs in each set and include at least 2 sets in your gift. 

Your gifs must be Tumblr friendly (i.e. 3MB or smaller)

Guidelines for Video Editors

Your AMV/video edit must be at least 45 seconds long with multiple transitions.

You may NOT use artwork in the video that does not belong to you.

Any music used must be credited. 

All videos must be pre-approved by mods BEFORE posting dates.

Toka is a proficient track maker who works under multiple pseudonyms. She states the reason for this is because she wants her songs to stand on their own merits, without her name attached. She's focused, driven, and a perfectionist who only goes home when necessary. As a result, her perception of time is completely messed up. Her favorite drink is water. She tends to act younger than her age and is described as a crybaby.

Eight years prior to the events of the main story, Toka won every DJ competition, but one day she faced off against Mana in a DJ battle which resulted in a draw. She was intrigued at having met her match, and she would go on to form a unit with Mana as well as Airi and Shano. They were incredibly popular, which led to talent agencies contacting them. Both she and Shano had always planned on pursuing a career in the music industry, yet they were hesitant to go on without their newfound friends. Sydney Fringe Festival returns in spring with an explosion of unexpected! Since 2010, the Festival has been painting the town pink every September, and this year, it’s introducing the first-ever Queer Hub at the vibrant Qtopia Sydney.

Presented by QNews, the Queer Hub celebrates and showcases the incredible talent of LGBTQIA+ artists, performers, and storytellers.

For over a decade, Sydney Fringe has carved out spaces for Sydney’s diverse artistic community, many of whom identify as queer. The Queer Hub is the next exciting chapter in this mission!

Introducing Queer Hub

The Queer Hub is set to become a cornerstone of the Sydney Fringe Festival, providing a dedicated space for LGBTQIA+ talent to shine. This vibrant hub will feature an exciting lineup of 12 shows across theatre, cabaret and comedy. Each show features authentic voices, weaving together a rich tapestry of stories that reflect the joy and complexity of queer life.

From heartfelt dramas to laugh-out-loud comedies, Queer Hub is a space where artists can explore their identities, share their stories, and connect with audiences on a deeply personal level.

Sydney Fringe Festival returns 1 to 30 September to present an extraordinary program featuring over 400 events spanning theatre, music, comedy, dance, visual art, circus, and cabaret.

Tickets are now on sale, with highlights including two headline shows by the triple Grammy award-winning Soweto Gospel Choir, an expanded takeover of The Rocks as part of the vibrant Sydney Fringe Sideshow, and Just Desserts, a transcendent collaboration at Machine Hall presented by Maker’s Mark that unites three daring artists: ARIA-nominated R&B musician Ngaiire with future soul sound, award-winning pastry chef Anna Polyviou with delectable desserts, and cross-disciplinary artist ACID.FLWRS with stunning floral artistry.

This year, Sydney Fringe Festival taps into the city’s cultural landscape by creating four distinct precincts including the Inner West Precinct, Central Precinct, Eastern Precinct, and Greater Sydney Precinct. From vibrant urban centres to historic suburbs, each precinct offers a tailored experience that resonates with local narratives, fostering a deeper connection between festival-goers and the city’s diverse communities.
