Okay, lets play a bit. Here we have:

OgAlbeCale Cinderella AU:

• Alberu is Cinderella. He already has the evil step-mother. Robbit is Anastasia and the third prince is Drizella.

• For AU purposes, og!Cale is Prince Charming, of course, and the Henituse family is the royal family.

• Rok Soo, Rosalyn and Choi Han are the mices. Lock is the dog and CJS and LSH are birds.

• Eruhaben is the fairy godmother. (Pendrick would be his apprentice).

So.... Has anyone ever reached a realization that Kasumi's spirit appearing as the main basis for Cendrillon returning might actually symbolize her being more of Sumi's true fairy godmother character in her story as opposed to Maruki who was a more twisted version of that trope?

Like think about it for a sec... And this is coming from someone who adored the fairytale (Disney version especially) when they were little so... In any version, Cinderella's main traits are her selflessness and kindness along with bravery considering that despite the abuse she went through, she still stays kind and true to herself and does not let the abuse affect that. That's part of what makes her a rebel, albeit an unconventional kind.

Sumi has those traits deep down (showcased by the lead up to her false awakening which she spoke more as Sumire since as I've mentioned before, her ultimate breaking point was more about hurting and letting her loved ones like Maruki and Joker down. She was more concerned about them as opposed thinking about herself or the scholarship) but the biggest problem was that she wasn't being true to herself and acted selfishly, even preferring to run away from her problems instead.

The fairy godmother character shows up when Cinderella was nearing her lowest point. It was even sometimes interpreted that the godmother represents Cinderella being rewarded for her unending kindness and unselfishness, leading to her happy ending.

When Maruki helped like so, it made things worse for her but when Kasumi's spirit showed up... It made things better for her and helped kickstart her own happily ever after. Just like the actual fairy godmother!

Starting with bringing her Persona back and this was when Sumire regained the other traits she was starting to lack/lose and became more like Cinderella herself. She became brave enough to stand on her own feet and stop running, she shows more of her kindness to others and even Maruki despite what he did, and she became selfless by deciding to mourn and honor her sister properly by moving forward and not basically live as her for her own selfish reasons as that's what Kasumi would have actually wanted her to do.

In a sense, Maruki was unwittingly rewarding her selfish desires and enabling it. ("Accept this contract... The spell cast upon you.")

Kasumi's spirit on the other hand was rewarding her for being honest and not running anymore. ("Such tenacity... It seems to fit you better than ever before...")

Well! I can say it IS in production!

But, we are only a very small team at the moment- (two people ) and we are doing the actual hard work of planning and writing the story. So it may take a little while before any further updates!

But We hope to potential do a crowd-funding thing in the future so we can get a bunch of more creatives in on this project, and I'm really excited!

In-Universe Descendants Memes, Part 3

One of the reasons the Shrek 2 dinner scene is one of The Dinner Scenes of all Time is not only due to it's comedic and dramatic pacing, but it also sets the entire plot in motion. While yes, the announcers/mailmen sending the invite get them to get to the film's location, it doesn't introduce all the bits.

It sets up the conflict between Harold and Shrek, which results in Fiona getting upset and going to her room and meeting Fairy Godmother.

I also just wanna note that Shrek genuinely does try to act in a way to get the parents to like him, if not completely genuine to his personality, UNTIL Harold starts provoking him. Shrek then feels the need to defend himself, and also points out! Hey you locked your daughter in a freaking tower! It's a reoccurring thing where Shrek makes himself out to be a big bad guy, (most frequently in the first movie ofc) but in regular social situations he's literally mostly a jokester. He only really fights when provoked. He doesn't particularly Start fights.

Honestly when he fights with Fiona later, it's because he's 1. Still Agitated 2. He's also doing it out of concern. You can see it in his face when Fiona leaves the dining room. Shrek watches after her in concern and sadness, meanwhile Harold glares at Shrek cause he wants to pin all the blame on him. Of course, leaving isn't the solution that Fiona really needs, and Shrek spends the rest of the movie trying to be anything but the stuff Harold yelled at him at dinner.

He wants Fiona to be happy by making her parents happy- He needs to change- he eventually convinces himself that Fiona wants the same thing as her parents etc

Anyway this is a ramble and a half but yeah! The dinner scene. It's. So good. Funny. Dramatic. Plot spurring.
